My contributor name is "Outbreak" on GameFAQs, and I will be making a brief introduction about myself here. I am quite a big fan of the Resident Evil series, and my first FAQ career is for the game "Resident Evil : Outbreak" for the PS2. Later on, I goes on to FAQ another Capcom title, a fighter move list FAQ (Ken Master) for "SNK vs Capcom", again, for the PS2. After that, I also spend my time writing FAQs for more Resident Evil games. Specifically, the Monsters FAQ for "Resident Evil 0" (GC), "Resident Evil" (GC), "Resident Evil 2" (GC) and "Resident Evil Dead Aim". I started my passion for the RE series since RE in 1996, and have since made my way throughout the series. I joined "Umbrella Network" by the id 'roadogg', and I am also the news poster at "Resident Evil Network", hosted by Umbrella Network. Currently, I am also a forum goer at GameFAQs, Gaming-Age, Resident Evil Community and the-magicbox, all by my current id. "xfactor". Throughout the long journey, I have encountered a lot of other Resident Evil fans like me. Many of them have helped and have contributed to my passion in a lot of ways. Thanks to them for influencing me, although I do not have private conversations with most of them. o------------------------------------------------------------------------------o [About the FAQ] This FAQ serves as a guide to show the details of the monsters in Resident Evil: Deadly Silence. The information are taken from Biohazard: Deadly Silence Official Guide by Capcom. Thus, all satistics are 100% accurate. Note that I couldn't translate a small portion of the attack move names, so do bare with them! I guess that's all about it. Please proceed on with the FAQ. o==============================================================================o 03. CREATURES PROFILE o==============================================================================o o------------------------------------------------------------------------------o ZOMBIE o------------------------------------------------------------------------------o HP: 18 ~ 99 Attack Move: Bite - 10 Acid - 5 Ankle Bite - 6 When a human comes into contact with the deadly T-virus, he or she will turns into a foot-dragging zombie if not treated immediately. The zombie is slow, and they have only one objective, which is to devour any living thing they come across. Due to their desire for hunger, their body is capable of producing high- acidic juice for better digestion. Rotten body flesh and low-moaning are their characteristic, but they are low-level threat which can be countered with care. In the game, zombie can be found nearly everywhere. However, some of them can be faster than you expect, so take cautious. When fighting a group of zombie, it is advised to fight with a Shotgun. You can attempt to aim up and fire to decapitate zombie(s) if at the right distance. o------------------------------------------------------------------------------o CERBERUS o------------------------------------------------------------------------------o HP: 59 ~ 122 Attack Move: Bite - 12 Throat Bite - Instant Death The Umbrella scientists have breeded and used dogs as a test subject for the T-virus. The injection of the virus into these doberman creates a zombie version of themselves, providing them more resistance to firearm. The Cerberus is fast, and possesses high agility. They often attack in group, and circle the victim before launching the attack. If they managed to pin you down, be sure to shake them off. o------------------------------------------------------------------------------o CROW o------------------------------------------------------------------------------o HP: 10 ~ 52 Attack Move: Peck - 6 + 3 x sec The crows are influenced by the T-virus. They are a little more aggressive, but they will only attack under extreme condition. As they are fast, hard to hit and always appear in a group, it is advised to run rather than fight. If needed, a fast weapon like the Handgun or a wide radius weapon like the Shotgun will be recommended. They attack by pecking at the head of your character. Naturally, as they will only attack when offended, most if not all of the time they can be avoided, either by not attacking them, or solving the puzzle correctly. o------------------------------------------------------------------------------o ADDER o------------------------------------------------------------------------------o HP: 10 ~ 52 Attack Move: Bite - 6 + Poison The adders in the garden area have been infected by the T-virus. They shows no changes in appearance, but they now are capable of inflicting poison to the victim. They first appear by raining down from the trees near the courtyard pool area. Adders only appear in a large crowd, and it is always recommended to run away from them instead of fighting. o------------------------------------------------------------------------------o MINI SPIDER o------------------------------------------------------------------------------o HP: - Attack Move: Bite - 2 These mini-spiders are often released from the wombs from a dead Web-Spinners or a Black Tiger Spider. They are extremely weak, capable of only inflicting a very minor-damaging bite at your character. They usually appear in a large group, but they can be easily killed by just running or walking over them. o------------------------------------------------------------------------------o WEB-SPINNER o------------------------------------------------------------------------------o HP: 99 ~ 119 Attack Move: Acid - 10 + Poison Front Bump - 10 The Web-Spinners are large spiders, mutated under the T-virus experimentation. They are able to inflict poisonous status with their acidic spit, and can crawl on wall and ceiling. When close, they attack by moving front and then a small wild smash using their fore tentacles. This monster have a 50% chance of inflicting the poison status. The weakness of this monster is that they have difficulty turning, so you can run around it to confuse the monster. Handgun with at least 6 bullets will be enough to kill one of them in the game. o------------------------------------------------------------------------------o BLACK TIGER SPIDER o------------------------------------------------------------------------------o HP: 204 Attack Move: Acid - 12 + Poison Front Bump - 20 The Black Tiger is a much bigger version of the Web-Spinner. It can withstand more ammunition, and have longer range attack than the Web-Spinners. Still, the flaw in that it is slow in turning is still there. Like Web-Spinner, it can inflict poisonous status. You will find this gigantic spider in the lair located in the underground area. o------------------------------------------------------------------------------o WASP o------------------------------------------------------------------------------o HP: 20 ~ 62 Attack Move: Hit - 8 + Poison Needle - 4 The bees attack by harassing your character. They are annoying, fast and they appear in a group, so you are advised to avoid them instead. They usually die under 1 hit from every weapon though, but you might want to use a fast weapon like the Handgun to kill them. However, killing them is a waste of bullets. o------------------------------------------------------------------------------o SHARK o------------------------------------------------------------------------------o HP: 40 ~ 61 Attack Move: Bite - 7 Swallow - Instant Death The Sharks and Neptune exist in the tank under the Residence area. They are very strong, and as combat couldn't be done due to the water, they cannot be killed with any weapon. Throughout the game, you will be able to drain the water to stop them. One of them is exceptionally huge, which is termed the "Neptune". o------------------------------------------------------------------------------o MONSTER PLANT o------------------------------------------------------------------------------o HP: - Attack Move: Whip - 2 In a room located in the 1F west wing mansion, there lives a weird plant. This plant consist of several plant-like tentacles, which is apparently guarding the Armor Key behind it. Anyone attempt to get past it will be whipped. These tentacles cannot be hitted by any weapon at all, and the only way to destroy it is to use the CHEMICAL in the pump machine, which should pump the chemical into the tentacles. o------------------------------------------------------------------------------o PLANT 42 o------------------------------------------------------------------------------o HP: Body 140 / Tentacle 40 Attack Move: Brushing - 16 Hit - 8 Strangle - 20 Acid - 5 ??? - Instant Death The Plant 42 is a plant-base T-virus monster that Umbrella have cultivated. Due to its location, the monster was named "Plant 42". The T-Virus has drastically morphed its host's anatomy as well as its size. Looking at its current state, it's difficult to imagine its original appearance. PLANT 42 has two main sources of acquiring its necessary nutrients. One source is through its root. Somehow it has rooted itself down into the basement. When the Plant 42 sense prey, it uses the tentacle-like vines to capture its prey. After doing so, suckers on the vine drain the prey of its blood. To defeat it, fire-base weapons or Shotgun will be recommended. You can use the V-Jolt item onto the root in the basement to weaken the plant. When that's so, the HP of the plant is reduced by half before the fight. o------------------------------------------------------------------------------o HUNTER o------------------------------------------------------------------------------o HP: 79 ~ 111 Attack Move: Claw - 10 Dash Attack - 15 Decapitate - Instant Death Hunter Alpha, or "Hunter" in short, is a B.O.W made by Umbrella Inc. Large, green monster with 6 foot claws, with the ability to decapitate its victim, Hunter is not one creature to mess with. Coated with green, scaly reptile skin, Hunter is created when the T-virus contaminates the human DNA, and other genetic information added. Since their lower body muscles have been enhanced, they can jump high and attack their victims with their razor-sharp claws. The code name "Hunter" fit this BOW really well as its main mission is to hunt down any survivors who are immune to the virus and kill them off. Hunter Alpha have the intelligence to understand the mission, and is entered into the category of "success". Judging from the appearance, it seens that gene of some reptilia or amphibia is added. o------------------------------------------------------------------------------o CHIMERA o------------------------------------------------------------------------------o HP: 80 ~ 122 Attack Move: Claw - 15 Hug - 10 Ceiling Hit - 20 Body Hit - 5 The Chimera is one weird BOW that Umbrella have created. Everything about it is mystery, though speculations have been made that it was created with flies DNA. The monster wasn't classificed as an Umbrella product, most probably due to some flaws in it. Chimera's characteristic is that it is able to move on ceiling, thus making it a hard target to hit most of the time. It is usually recommended to run when you see one. o------------------------------------------------------------------------------o YAWN o------------------------------------------------------------------------------o HP: 3050 (1st fight) / 300 (2nd fight) Attack Move: Bite - 10 Swallow - Instant Death The Yawn is a really gigantic snake that inhabit the attic of the mansion. It can inflict poisonous venom to your character, which can only be cure by the serum found in the Mansion Drug Room. This giant snake will appear twice in the game. You can avoid the fight in the first encounter, but that will means you have to spend more bullet killing it in the second and final encounter. Yawn will first encircle you before it rise its head and bite you. The damage is huge, so you will have to run around it and attack when you have the chance to do so. o------------------------------------------------------------------------------o TYRANT o------------------------------------------------------------------------------o HP: 220 (1st fight) / 600 (2nd fight) Attack Move: Pierce - 10 Forward Slash - 12 Backward Slash - 16 Combo - 12, 12 (+ Instant Kill chance), 10 (+ Instant Kill chance) Dash Attack - 20 Claw Hook - 20 Impale - Instant Death The Tyrant is the ultimate Bio-Organic Weapon of Umbrella. The model 'T-002' can resist most weapons, and is deadly. It's huge claws can inflict a great deal of damage to your character. The only thing is that the Tyrant is still prematured, and thus has a flaw in that its heart organ is exposed. Fire with the strongest weapon until it fall is the standard way to kill the monster. The Tyrant will appear in the helipad under certain circumstances. In that situation, the battle area is much large. The Tyrant can run now, and have several new attacks up its sleeves. Strong weapons like the Rocket Launcher are required to kill this monster. o==============================================================================o 04.
