If you have any questions pertaining to this guide, you can e-mail me at "emcain94@comcast.net". ----------------------------------------------------------------------- -Introduction- This is my very first gamefaqs.com guide, so please bear with me if anything seems missing or is unclear. If you have any questions, my address is above. *5/12/08* Hey everyone, Today’s the day that I’ve finally gotten around to fixing up this guide a bit. I’ve added separation lines and I hope they will make reading this guide easier. Also, thanks to everyone who has been using this guide to help them through the game and thank you for e-mailing me! I really appreciate them and they show me that this guide is useful. *7/21/08* Hello again, I added some extra info in the time section about using a time cheat and how it’s not recommended. *3/3/09* Hey, Wow, it’s been awhile since the last update, hasn’t it? However, this one’s another tip, this time on how you can make the fight against Optimum Alfred easier. *3/27/09* Hi, I played through the Sims 2 again to edit my walkthrough. I also added some lists towards the end of this guide, so check ‘em out if you’re interested. *6/24/09* This time around I added Honest Jackson’s secret, thanks to Becky! *6/25/09* Added the locations of the skill points and license plates thanks to Kelse! *8/30/09* Ugh, not looking forward to school starting up again here... but oh well. This update contains another method to calming people down, provided by Xeion! ----------------------------------------------------------------------- -Table of Contents- 0.1 - Legal Stuff 1.0 - The Basics 1.1 - Controls 1.2 - Sanity 1.3 - Time 1.4 - The Screens 1.5 - Aspirations 2.0 - Your Hotel Rating 2.1 - Where to see the Rating 2.2 - How to Improve Your Rating 3.0 - Skill Points 3.1 - How to Earn Them 4.0 - Walkthrough 4.1 - Create-a-Sim 4.2 - Starting Out 4.3 - Check out the Hotel 4.4 - Refueling the Furnace 4.5 - Cleaning Up 4.6 - Restraining 4.7 - Finding and Cheering Up Tristan 4.8 - Buying a Permit 4.9 - The New Casino 4.10 - Fear the Water and the Fusilli 4.11 - Fire! 4.12 - Boosting Your Score 4.13 - Build for Me Part I 4.14 - Getting Metal 4.15 - Burying the Chest 4.16 - Busted 4.17 - Build for Me Part II 4.18 - Bring me These 4.19 - Hi Mummy 4.20 - The Sarcophagus 4.21 - Branded 4.22 - I Need These 4.23 - Fearing the Water Again 4.24 - Stopping Crime 4.25 - Breaking and Entering 4.26 - Destroying the Dish 4.27 - The Final Showdown 5.0 - How To 5.1 - How to Impress 5.2 - How to Romance 5.3 - How to Vacuum 5.4 - How to use the Water Gun 5.5 - How to Play Mini-Games 5.6 - How to Get Rid of Tumbleweeds 6.0 – Lists 6.1 – Hotel Rooms 6.2 – Items of the Month 6.3 – Prices of Store Items 6.4 – Secrets 6.5 – Concept Art 6.6 – Skill Point Locations 6.7 – License Plate Locations 7.0 - F.A.Q. No one is to use this guide for profit of his or her own or profit for others. You may not post this on another site without permission or post this in a magazine, etc. without permission. This guide is copyrighted. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.0 - The Basics ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.1 - Controls The first thing you'll need to know when playing The Sims 2 is the controls: Walk --- The D-Pad Interact with Things --- A Button Run --- B Button (You do not have to hold this button in to run) Rotate the Camera --- L Button and R Button Zoom the Camera in or Out --- X and Y Button Note: The DS microphone is used when you are vacuuming. If you are collecting items and pick up a dust bunny instead, blow into the microphone to clear the screen. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.2 - Sanity Sanity is your mood. In this game, you don't have needs like in other Sims games. Instead, you have a sanity bar, which depletes over time. To fill it back up, you can eat, drink, use the toilet, sleep, etc. Sometimes an icon appears over your Sims head. You must do as the icon says (ex. If the icon shows a toilet, have your Sim use one) or your sanity bar will deplete faster than usual. Note: In the basement of the hotel, there's a freezer with hanging meat. If you punch the meat, your sanity bar will fill up. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.3 - Time Time simply goes by real-life time. From wildgoosespeeder: You can speed up time or set back time by changing the main clock on your DS. The changes need to be drastic (such as going forward eight hours to get a hotel room complete). However, the next time you start your Sims game, the concierge will accuse you of cheating and aliens will be everywhere. Be careful if you choose to use this cheat! ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.4 - The Screens Interact - From this screen, you can interact with objects and people. You can also use your cell phone and go to different screens. Pockets - Here you have six different places to store stuff you find or buy. Once you have six things, nothing else can go into these pockets. You can throw things away from the six pockets by using the trashcan. The three squares on the right of the screen hold the vacuum cleaner, the Super Drencher, and the Metal Detector. Things you find (nuclear fuel rods, license plates, gourds, and alien ship parts) have their four squares and can hold more than one. You can also use your cell phone from this screen. Goals - This page lists the goals that you need to complete to progress through the game. It also shows your hotel rating and you can use your cell phone from this screen. Relationships - Here you can view every character you've met in the game. You can see how they're feeling, your relationship with them, their description, and their secret (obtained after becoming best friends with a character). You can also use your cell phone from this screen. Options - You can change the brightness, save, quit, and change the music and SFX volume. Your cell phone is available here as well. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.5 - Aspirations Aspirations determine what special ability your Sim will have. Fortune - You earn more money from guests when they check out. Popularity - Your relationship with Sims improves faster. Romance - Sims will be in the romance mood more often. Party - Your sanity bar fills up more when you use objects. The aspiration you choose also determines which actions increase the level of your sanity bar. Fortune – Calming angry Sims increases sanity level Popularity – Cheering up sad Sims increases sanity level Romance – Romancing Sims in the mood increases sanity level Party – Calming loopy Sims increases sanity level ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.0 - Your Hotel Rating ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.1 - Where to see the Rating You can view your hotel rating by going to the goals screen. It will be displayed as a percentage. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.2 - How to Improve Your Rating You can keep your hotel clean. To do this, clean up any ick piles or dust piles that you see. Selecting "Clean Up" from the interaction screen while standing next to a pile can clean up the ick piles. Using the vacuum cleaner can clean up dust piles. You can also improve your rating by building more rooms for the hotel. To do this, go to City Hall and talk to the guy behind the counter. You can select which room to add on. It will be done in 8 hours. You can also add fuel rods to the furnace to keep the power on. I’ve experienced a glitch once I reached 100% rating, so you may want to wait until the end of the game to gain the 100% rating. However, your game might be different than mine, meaning no glitch. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.0 - Skill Points ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.1 - How to Earn Them Reading a book or watching a cooking show like in other Sims games cannot earn you skill points. Instead, you can find skill points at certain times. You can pick up creativity, business, body, charisma, and mechanical skill points. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.0 - Walkthrough Enough of me explaining things. Now comes the main part of the guide. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.1 - Create-a-Sim You have to create a Sim to play throughout the game. 1. You must choose the gender, skin tone, and name of your Sim. 2. You must choose the hair color and hairstyle of your Sim. 3. You must choose the face style of your Sim. 4. You must choose the everyday clothes, pajamas, and bathing suit that your Sim will wear. Check Screen: You must choose your Sim's Aspiration and decide whether to keep the Sim you just created, or to start over. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.2 - Starting Out After you've created your Sim, you start the game with a conversation with Jebediah S. Jerky. He says that it'll take a few days to fix your car. He suggests checking out the Strangetown Hotel. New Mission: Check out the hotel. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.3 - Check out the Hotel Go inside the building with the sign showing a bed. The concierge will then talk to you. He explains his boss left. He then asks if you will get the power back on. New Mission: Find some nuclear rods in the basement and put them in the furnace. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.4 - Refueling the Furnace Pick up the nuclear fuel rods (the green glowing things) and follow their path to the door. Go through it and pick up more rods until you reach a door with two signs next to it. Go through it and you will be in the room with the furnace. The furnace needs the nuclear fuel rods to generate power. I suggest refueling the furnace to max. It holds six fuel rods. After you refuel the furnace, the power will come back on. Go back up to the lobby and talk to the concierge. He’ll give you a note and Jebediah will come in. Instead of the lone employee of the hotel, you have to clean up the place. New Mission: Pick up the vacuum. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.5 - Cleaning Up Walk up to the vacuum (the red thing) and pick it up. This completes your current mission. New Mission: Activate the vacuum from the pockets menu and clean up 5 dust piles. View your "Pockets" screen and select your vacuum. Touch the hand and you will be using your vacuum. Walk over the 5 dust piles and you will clean them up. Honest Jackson comes in now and goes crazy. Mamma Hogg makes her entrance and she tells you to restrain the mayor. New Mission: Restrain Honest Jackson. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.6 - Restraining For the first time you restrain someone, the choice that is correct will flash, but after this time, all three choices will flash. You must restrain Honest Jackson here. How to Restrain: If the Sim raises both hands - Steady If the Sim raises one hand - Stern Yell If the Sim raises no hands - Stop Use these tips to restrain Honest Jackson. He then explains that if the hotel falls, the town goes with it. He wants you to shape up the hotel, just like the concierge and Jebediah (what kind of town asks a random visitor to help them turn their economy around?) Mamma Hogg then suggests to start with building a casino. You’ll have to find Tristan to build it. New Mission: Find Tristan Legend in the desert. Before you find Tristan, the mayor shows you where you will be staying. It's the manager's suite. In here is a shower, a toilet, a sink, a couch, a refrigerator, and a bed. There is also a computer, which shows your aspirations, the hotel info, any skill points you've found, and the game stats. Honest Jackson tells you to take a shower. When he leaves, an icon with a picture of a shower comes up over your head. Your sanity meter will then drop until you take a shower. Also, I suggest filling up the brochure holder in the lobby. People take brochures and you get money. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.7 - Finding and Cheering Up Tristan Note: While in the desert, your sanity bar will drop quickly. To get to the desert, head outside the hotel and left down the ramp past the cows. Once you get to the desert, you will see Tristan standing by a cactus. He will explain why he can't help you. New Mission: Cheer up Tristan Legend. Walk over to Tristan and select: Cheer Up. This will take you to a screen like the screen when you restrained Honest Jackson. You'll just have different options and actions. Also, for only one time, the correct choice will flash. How to Cheer Up: The Sim put their hands up to their face - Console The Sim extends both arms out - Hug The Sim crosses their arms and looks up at you - Pep Talk Use these tips to cheer up Tristan and others. Tristan then explains that he'll build the casino, but he's going to need a building permit. He’ll direct you to the City Hall to get the permit. New Mission: Buy a permit for a casino from City Hall. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.8 - Buying a Permit Go back into the town, past the cows, up the ramp, and into the first building on the left. This is City Hall. You can usually find Honest Jackson here. In here are toilets, sinks, and a bed. You can use these to fill up your sanity bar after coming back from the desert. The man behind the counter will sell you building permits and you can sell nuclear fuel rods to him. The Snake-Eyes Casino costs $1,500. You must buy it to continue. This screen also shows where each room will go (Ex. The casino will go into the hotel's atrium). New Mission: Return to the hotel and check out the new casino. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.9 - The New Casino Tristan greets you and says he just finished building. Note: Any other time you want to build a room, it takes eight hours. He takes you into the hotel's atrium and then into the casino. The room suddenly shakes. Back in the lobby, Emperor Xizzle arrives. Tristan explains that the emperor comes every couple weeks. He says that the aliens' weakness is water and the Giuseppi Mezzoalto most likely has a Super Drencher. New Mission: Get a Super Drencher from Giuseppi Mezzoalto. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.10 - Fear the Water and the Fusilli Go outside and you will see a man. This is Giuseppi. He will sell the Super Drencher to you for $250. New Mission: Pay Giuseppi Mezzoalto $250. Go up to Giuseppi and choose to pay him. New Mission: Drench Emperor Xizzle with the Super Drencher. Activate the Super Drencher from the Pockets menu. This is like using the vacuum. Go to your pockets and select the Super Drencher inside the hotel. Move up to Emperor Xizzle to get his picture in the square. Then press the red aim button. Hold down the A button until the next scene occurs. Watch the scene here. The mayor and Mamma Hogg come in. Honest Jackson thanks you and he gives you $1,000 for all of your effort. The concierge explains that you can now book people into your hotel. He says that when they're ready to check out, they'll wait in the lobby. If you attend to them personally, they might tip you. If you don't attend to them, they'll check out on their own. He also says he has a registry. You get another note telling you to go for 100% (this means to boost your hotel score). Note: The only room available to check guests into is the small guest room. If you want more rooms, you'll have to buy a building permit. Now walk outside and walk forward. You will get a telephone call from Frankie Fusilli. He tells you he wants to reserve a room. You must go inside and talk to him. After the conversation, you can play Keehaulin' for money or buy another permit. Frankie will call you on your cell phone and tell you to go see him. Go into the hotel (if you're not already inside) and go up the steps in the lobby. There's an elevator here. You can go to the second floor, penthouse, or sun deck. Frankie's in the penthouse so we have to go there. Ask Frankie what's up. He tells you he wants $1,000 to get his second cousin into Strangetown. New Mission: Give Frankie Fusilli $1,000. Simple. Just go up to him and pay him. If you need to, you can play the card game in the casino (mentioned above) called Keehaulin'. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.11 - Fire! Exit the penthouse, re-enter it, and talk to Frankie. He says he wants to give Honest Jackson a gift. New Mission: Deliver the package to Honest Jackson. Go to City Hall and you'll find Honest Jackson. Choose "Give Gift" and choose the Stuffed Cow Head. Now go back and tell Frankie you gave Honest Jackson the gift. Walk around a bit and Honest Jackson will call. He says his office is on fire, so you’re the one who has to put it out. New Mission: Extinguish the fire and calm down Honest Jackson. Head to City Hall and fill up the Super Drencher if you need to. Put out the fire. Now you have to calm down Honest Jackson. How to Calm Down: The Sim looks ready to punch you - Beg The Sim raises both hands - Calm Hands The Sim raises one hand - Yell Back Xeion has provided another method to use for calming Sims down: Beg = he/she is raising his/her left hand, and Beg is the left icon Calm Hands = he/she is raising both hands, which is basically a middle between left and right, and Calm Hands is the middle icon Yell Back = he/she is raising their right hand, and Yell Back is the right icon Thanks Xeion! Again, you'll see the right answer flashing if it's your first time calming someone down. Frankie will call you. You have to go talk to him. New Mission: Achieve hotel score - 20% ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.12 - Boosting your Score View Section 2.2 for tips on how to raise your score to 20%. Once you've made it, go talk to Frankie. Now exit the penthouse and re- enter. Talk to Frankie. He gives you your next mission. New Mission: Build the vault. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.13 - Build for Me Part I To build the vault, you're going to need to buy a permit. To buy the permit, you're going to need $3,000. Play Keehaulin' and check in guests to get that much. You can also sell extra fuel rods and gourds. Once you're done, buy the permit at City Hall. Now you'll have to wait 8 hours. After the vault has been built, go talk to Frankie. Exit the penthouse, re-enter, and then talk to Frankie again. New Mission: Buy the metal detector and find 3 metal bars. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.14 - Getting Metal Go outside the hotel. Turn right and enter the building. This is a shop if you haven't been here already. Talk to the guy behind the counter and you can buy the metal detector for $800. Again, if you need money play Keehaulin', check guests in, make paintings in the art gallery, whatever. You can also sell alien spaceship parts, if you find any, here. Now you must go out to the desert. From your pockets screen, use your metal detector. The red button turns it off, the green button digs for treasure once you find it, the black switch controls the focus on the metal detector screen, and the red arrow shows how much power is left. Charging the metal detector requires you to go to the furnace and use up a fuel rod. Now walk around with the metal detector and dig once you find metal bars. The bars can be silver or copper. You need 3 of these. After you've found the bars, you can restore your sanity bar (if needed) or talk to Frankie. After you talk to Frankie, exit, re-enter, and then talk to him again. New Mission: Bury the wiggling chest in the desert at night. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.15 - Burying the Chest You have to go back to the shop again and buy the shovel for $100. If you try to go into the desert in the daytime, Jimmy the Neck will stop you. Yes, you actually do have to go to the desert at night. So once it's night, go to the desert. Penelope Redd will stop you. She takes the chest and the shovel away from you because she says it's evidence. Go back to the penthouse and talk to Frankie. Go outside of the hotel and talk to Penelope. New Mission: Calm down Frankie Fusilli while wearing a wire. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.16 - Busted This mission is simple. Just go to the penthouse and calm down Frankie. If you are having trouble calming him down, see section 4.11. Penelope catches Frankie. She takes him away. Frankie pays you for his stay. Go down to the main lobby and you'll meet Ava Cadavra. She takes the penthouse in place of Frankie. Go up to the penthouse and talk to her. New Mission: Excavate the Bovine Shrine for Ava. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.17 - Build for Me Part II You know the drill. Go down to City Hall and buy the building permit for the Bovine Shrine for $2,500. If you don't have enough... I've said it enough! Now you'll have to wait eight hours. Once you're done, go back and talk to Ava in the penthouse. Go down the steps in the basement and turn right. This is the Bovine Shrine. New Mission: Find the mystic cowbell and bring it to Ava. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.18 - Bring me These Go outside of the hotel and down the ramp as if you were going to the desert. To the right are 2 cows and a bull. One of the cows is wearing the bell. Take it and ask Ava 'What's up?' She'll take the bell. Exit the shrine, re-enter, and go talk to Ava again. New Mission: Replace Ava's lipstick. Go to the store with the alien boy. Buy the Rotten Eggplant Lipstick for $10. Surely you have $10. Go back down the Bovine Shrine and talk to Ava. Exit, re-enter, and talk to Ava. Exit the hotel and walk around. You'll get a cell phone call telling you to seek out the secret entrance to the crypt in the desert at night. New Mission: Find the pyramid in the desert after dark. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.19 - Hi Mummy Night doesn't start until 7 PM, so wait until then if you have to. Go to the desert after 7. Head north and you'll see a pyramid on top of a hill. Go talk to the mummy that appeared. New Mission: Dig up the Sarcophagus with the metal detector, near the back of the oasis. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.20 - The Sarcophagus The oasis is the place with the water. You need to go to the back of the water and use the metal detector to dig up the sarcophagus. Even though the mummy says to dig it up during the daytime, you can find it during the night. Stay in the desert and go talk to the mummy. He's still near his pyramid. Now you're going to have to place the sarcophagus in your hotel manager room. They mummy comes out. Exit your room, re-enter, and talk to the mummy. New Mission: Ask around town about the branding iron. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.21 - Branded Find Jebediah and talk to him. He says that the branding iron is in the jail. Check under the sheriff’s desk. Go tell Horus Menhoset IX that you found it. New Mission: Shatter the Prime Heifer with the branding iron. Go to the Bovine Shrine and walk up to the cow statue. Choose to brand it. You are taken back to the penthouse where you meet Optimum Alfred. New Mission: Buy the power recharger for Optimum Alfred. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.22 - I Need These If you didn't buy the Rat Cave permit, Tristan will call you. Go down to the basement and meet him if he called you. He shows you the Rat Cave. If you bought it already, well, the people who didn't just got it for free. Now you need to buy the power recharger. Head to the store and buy it for $1,000. Go back to the penthouse and talk to Optimum Alfred. Exit, re-enter, and talk to Alfred. New Mission: Collect 20 nuclear fuel rods for Optimum Alfred. If you don't have the 20 rods, search around or dig up some in the desert with the metal detector. Give the rods to Alfred after re- entering the room. Re-enter the room and talk to Alfred. He tells you he's going to install satellite TV for your hotel. Exit, re-enter, and talk to Alfred. New Mission: Convince Lord Mole to stop gnawing at the power lines. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.23 - Fearing the Water Again Spray Lord Mole with the water gun. To get him to stop, you'll need to increase water pressure. To do this, slide the red bar back and forth with your stylus (I remember it took me so long to figure out what to do to continue...). Go talk to Alfred. You will not get your next mission from him. Go to the main lobby instead. New Mission: Defeat 3 robots as the Ratticator. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.24 - Stopping Crime Go down into the basement and into the Rat Cave. You'll find a rat costume hung up in a case. This is the Ratticator costume. You're cell phone option will be replaced by a picture of a rat head. This is how you fight crime. You can't interact with people. If you use the rat head option, the first picture is used after you sneak up on people. It scares them. If you successfully scared them, the icon turns green. The middle icon is used to attack the goon. The bottom icon is used to capture them. So now you must go outside and use these icons in that order. It's better if you walk up to them and scare them rather than running. Go back to the Rat Cave and change into your normal clothes. Now you have to talk to Mamma Hogg in the lobby. New Mission: Earn Mechanical 5, break into the penthouse, and steal the blueprints. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.25 - Breaking and Entering To find the Mechanical 5, you have to look around for mechanical skill points. If you need help finding these, you can look at Freyashawk's guide for a list of skill point locations and a calendar of when they appear. To view it, go to http://faqs.ign.com/articles/663/663448p1.html. It also has some useful info and the writer is Freyashawk. I have also added a section for finding the skill points. Press Ctrl+F and type 6.6 to see the locations and times. After you've gotten the skill points, go up to the elevator and choose to hack it. Go into the penthouse between 6 PM and 10 PM. This is when Alfred is gone. Pick up the blueprints on the floor. Now go back to the lobby and talk to Emperor Xizzle. Exit, re- enter, and talk again to Xizzle. New Mission: Drink Xizzle's potion near the satellite dish and destroy it. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.26 - Destroying the Dish Go up to the sun deck. Now stand next to the satellite dish and drink the potion. Now go back to the lobby and talk to Xizzle. New Mission: Defeat Optimum Alfred. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.27 - The Final Showdown To fight Alfred, you must be in the Ratticator suit. Go up on the sun deck and there he is. You must fight him like a regular goon. Scare him, use the Rattarang (the second icon), and then attack him. Do not go near him until you scare him. Now you will have to fight some robots. Do this and then Alfred comes back. Repeat the process until he is defeated. Tip (thanks Emmy!): You can use the lawn chairs on the roof to sunbathe. They will restore your sanity during the fight! That's it! You've beaten the game! You can stop playing or you can keep playing to get your hotel to 100% (if not already done), find out everyone's secret to get some concept art, find skill points, find rare furniture, whatever. Go nuts. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 5.0 - How To This section is to provide information of how to do several things not mentioned in the walkthrough. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 5.1 - How To Impress Impressing Sims is just like calming them down or cheering them up. Again, the first time you impress someone, the correct choice will flash. Sim raises one hand as if wanting a high five - High Five Sim extends both arms out - Dance Sim extends one arm out – Laugh ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 5.2 - How to Romance A Sim can only be romance if they are in the mood. If you are playing as a boy, you can only romance girls and vice versa. The very first time you romance a Sim, the correct choice will flash. Leans forward - Kiss Leans back and waves one hand - Show Off Bod Puts hand up to ear – Serenade ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 5.3 - How to Vacuum In the middle of the screen (when using the vacuum) is an oval. Once you vacuum up a dust pile, you will see little things of dust appear. Don't touch this with the stylus or you'll screen get foggy. If you do touch them, blow into the microphone. Sometimes items such as dice or pretzels will appear. Drag these items to the opening at the bottom of the oval with the stylus. Sometime you'll get money for them. At the top left corner is a box that shows how much money you've collected so far. After exiting this screen (the X at the top right corner), you'll get the money that you earned. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 5.4 - How to use the Water Gun This screen is a bit complicated. The big tube in the top left corner shows how much water is left in the gun. The tube next to it shows how much water pressure is in the tube. There is a red aim button, which makes it easier to lock onto targets and spray them. The X button in the top right corner exits the screen. The icon showing a tube with a drop of water over it is used to fill up the gun while near a body of water (the pool up on the sun deck, a sink, etc.). The ? icon allows you to read what each thing does. The water jet icon in the lower right corner is used to spray the water. You can also use the A button. The red bar in the middle of the screen is used to build up water pressure. Slide it back and forth. The right tube will fill up as you get more pressure. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 5.5 - How to Play Mini-Games I will not tell how to play all the mini-games because you can view how to play when you walk up to a mini-game. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 5.6 - How to Get Rid of Tumbleweeds You can't get rid of these. Q: Where is the Rat Cave? A: The Rat Cave is down in the basement. Walk where the freezer door is and you should see a bunch of cabinets/lockers (whatever they are). If you walk by them, they'll swing open, revealing an entryway. If you go inside, you'll be inside the Rat Cave. Q: How do I recharge the metal detector? A: The metal detector can be charged at the furnace in the basement using a nuclear fuel rod (same place to refuel the hotel’s lights). ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 8.0 - Finish Well, this is the end of the guide.
