Personally, I've seen it once and thought it was completely stupid. That doesn't mean a game made from it has to be though. Well ok, this game is decent at best. Oh well. The point is, this guide will walk you through beating the game, and will give you strategies for taking down the bosses. All right? [B] This is the attack button. You can string together combos of punches or kicks, or use a laser to attack multiple enemies for more damage. [R] This is a huge super laser, and is the strongest attack in the game. It costs one special skill counter to use, however. You can gain more of these by defeating enemies. [L] This attack deals damage to all enemies on screen. Evidently, firing bullets from your butt is a good strategy! Like the super laser, this costs one special skill counter to use. ____ ____ | | | | | /\ |/\/\/\-----------------------------------------------------/\/\/\| /\ | |< >| > 04. Shortly after, some more robots will march onto the screen. Combo them out, then move to the right. There, you'll be attacked by a new type of robot; a large array of robotic bees will fly from above. Jumping up and taking them out with your fists is easy enough to do, though. After that, head further to the right. Robots will be coming from both sides of the screen there, and they'll be shooting energy balls at you. So be quick in taking them out. Further to the right are more robots like this. Just keep trecking forward taking out the robots, until you reach another group of flying ones. You can use your machine gun attack to take them all out in one go there. A bit further after that, you'll have small green robots with guns dropped from above. Use your laser gun to take them out. From there, you can walk to the right and pick up a pink heart, then head to the next screen on your right. There, you'll encounter a stop light. You'll have to attack it as fast as you can, because the cars that are coming at you won't stop until you are able to destroy it. Once it's out of the way, head to the right. You'll soon come across some stairs, and at the base you'll be facing a few more grounded robots. Punch through them, and you'll be attacked by more killer robotic bees at the top. Muchine gun them, or jump-punch them to clear the way. From there, head down the stairs and take out a more grounded robots. Keep moving forward. After a few more steps, you'll be attacked by gigantic robot bees. I mean, the things are huge. One shot from your super laser, however, and they'll go down like regular flies -- not even the robotic kind. Contine to fight your way to the end of the screen. Yes, the robots are oversized, but they aren't particularly strong. At the end of the area, you'll find another pink heart that will restore your health. In the very first room of the third area, you'll find another group of huge oversized robots. Give them a taste of machine gun fire, and make your way to the right side of the room. There, you can jump to the platform above. You'll have to fight your way through the hordes of giant robots, as you make your way towards the top of the room. At the very top layer in the room, you'll be able to simply walk off-screen to the right. You'll enter a room with two large spiders crawling around on the walls. Hit them with machine gun attacks until they go down. Keep doing this. More and more spiders will come to replace the old ones as you kill them, but you should have a fairly large amount of specials left. So just keep unleashing that machine gun attack. After you kill enough, the platform you are on will begin to lower. A large red spider will then climb down from the ceiling. Despite his intimidating appearence -- he even has his own health bar! -- you can take him out by standing up close to him, and punching him over and over again. He won't get one attack in. After he's dead, walk to the right, to find the girl that was kidnapped. ======================== Boss: Metal Queen Spider ========================--------------------------------------------------- You'll get a chance to upgrade your skills, but then it's the real boss of the stage: A large queen spider. It will walk towards you from the right side of the screen. When it gets close, jump into the air and punch him in the head a few times. Afterwards, he'll fire a laser beam. Stay on the ground where it's safe until he's done doing that. After you deliver some damage, he'll begin swinging his legs around. When this happens, just stick between his front and back legs, and keep firing your machine gun attack. This damages his torso. He may have a few "seizures" during the fight, but stick with the tactics mentioned, and he'll go down eventually. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- .----.----.-------------------------------------------------------.----.----. | | | Stage Two - Cruciform Island | | | '----'----'-------------------------------------------------------'----'----' You'll start off flying through the air. In this mode, you'll move with the D-pad, and fire lasers with the B button. You won't be able to punch, but you WILL still be able to use your super attacks if you need them. It's kind of like an old arcade scrolling shooter. Just blast your way through all of the other flying robots until you reach. After a while, you'll magically be transported to this large eyeball-like enemy. You'll still be flying, but you'll be in a closed off red area. To take care of it, stick in the corner and use your machine gun attack repeatedly. If the eyeball moves to your left, hit it with a super laser. If it traps you, use a machine gun attack, and use the slow-motion effect that comes with it to get away safely. Once you take out the monster, you'll land on solid ground, on the island. On the island you'll fight the "Amazing Three" (or so the in-game text display says.) They are really just a few fools in a tire swing. They'll hit you if you let them, but they don't have much health. Repeatedly use your machine gun attack, however, and they won't even be able to get near you. Once they're gun you'll be able to upgrade your stats again. You can then walk to the next screen on your right. It's dark there, but there are no enemies. Just walk to the next screen from there as well, being careful not to fall into gaps in the ground. There, you'll find yet another fight. This lunatic calls himself Big x. For the first half of the fight, this guy will jump in the air, then warp either in front of, or behind you. He's not as fast as he thinks he is, despite his little motion blur affect though. Combo him as he lands, and he'll be quick to jump away again. Drain half of his health, and his tactic will change. Well... No it won't. He just gets bigger. To even out the odds, hit him with a super cannon every time he appears. Afterwards, head to the previous screen, and jump down the gap in the center of the floor. There, head to the far left, and drop down another hole. There's a guy on the ground who will update your skills further. After tlaking to him, boost back to the ground above, and head as far right as you can go. Drop to the ground there as well, and head to the left. Bosot up to the next ledge from there, and head along the path. You'll find yet another guy who can update your skills. Use your super laser to destory the statue to the left of the guy, then head back to the right and drop through the tunnell in the ground. Head to the right and destroy the first golem that you run into. After that, keep going. Several more of the same golem will attack in a big group. Use your machine gun to take care of those ones. Once they're out of the way, continue moving to the right. Pick up the pink heart that's on the ground to refill your health, then head to the next screen. After a short elevator ride -- in which you'll be attacked by robotic bees -- you'll run into an extremely creepy looking character named Magma. He'll upgrade your skills" though, so he can't be all bad. You'll then continue the elevator ride. At the bottom of the shaft, you'll have to fight a few mini-golems. You can then walk off-screen to the right. You'll enter a boss fight with a small boy who can transform into different robots. Evidently his name is "Pook." ========== Boss: Pook ==========----------------------------------------------------------------- At first, the boy will become a fire-breathing falcon. It will fly, but it doesn't move all that much. Jump in the air, and hit it with a few super lasers before it becomes trouble. The boy will then become a white lion. Stay away from him so that he can't jump on you, and continue to deliver your super laser blasts. The boy will then become a fish, that can somehow swim in the steel floor. Whatever. Just wait for it to jump out, and then use your machine gun attack. When it begins swimming back and force with one fin above ground, use your super laser on it. Next up, is a monkey. He has a vicious long-range tail swipe in this form, but you can sneak in one super laser attack before he even begins moving. After that, just fire from the opposite side of the room as him. This is the last of his new forms, and he'll repeat his old ones. Continue the beat down until he's gone. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- .----.----.-------------------------------------------------------.----.----. | | | Stage Three - Astro vs Atlas | | | '----'----'-------------------------------------------------------'----'----' At the start of the stage, you'll be attacked by robots. So many, in fact, that the FPS will drop to about 5. Use your machine gun, and take them all out, then head to the right, into a walled-off area. There, more robots will attack you, and again, the FPS will drop. You can take these ones out with a machine gun like you did the previous ones. Keep destroying the robots that come after you. You'll then enter a low-gravity shaft are. Jump up and destroy the large robots in there with you, then use your boosters to jump to the top of the shaft. There, on the right, you'll find a pink heart, and the way forward. Take out the enemies there, and drop down to the next ledge where you'll find more enemies that shoot energy balls. Take them out too. Take advantage of the low gravity to boost up to the next ledge on your right from there. You'll then find six huge enemies forming a block. Blast them with your machine gun a few times to clear the way. After that, fight your way through a few more big robots. You'll then reach a block that you can either jump on, or go under. You'll have to kill enemies both on top of and below it. Do this for the next few blocks as well, then drop down the shaft on your right, pick up the pink heart, and head off-screen to the right. Drop to the ground in the room you arrive in, and you'll find a large black robot that will fight you. Stand back and hit him with a super laser. As you fight him, tiny versions of him will arrive to fight you as well. You can then switch to using your machine gun attack, so that you can target them all at the same time. Once they're gone, jump to the ledge on the right side of the room, and pick up the pink heart that's there. Then head to the next screen on your right. This room has very little gravity, you move like a snail in it, and the screen is hazy. In short, it sucks. Drop to the floor on your right, at the start, and continue to drop through the platforms until you reach a spot where there isn't a laser blocking the path. There, head to the right as far as you can go. There, use your boosters to jump to a platform sitting on top of one of the lasers in the air. There, jump onto the laser ground on your left. You'll take some damage, but you'll also be invincible for a second. While in that state, run under the overhang on your left, and then use your boosters to jump to another platform that's in the air. Boost your way to the platform on the right from there, then jump between the lasers that are on the ceiling and floor respectively. Use your super laser to take out all of the robot bats that appear, then jump up to the platform on your right. You'll then have to run up the ramp to your left, when the lasers on it are not being fired. At the top, jump to the next platform on your right. There, you'll have to stand between two of the three moving platforms and use your machine gun to take out the robotic bats that appear, while you avoid being crushed. Afterwards, head down the ramp on the right, again avoiding the lasers. Pick up the pink heart that's against the wall, on the bottom, then jump down the shaft and head off-screen to the right. There, you'll have to fight your way up the ramp in front of you, which is covered in robots of all different varieties and sizes. At the top of the ramp, you'll enter a large room, where you'll meet a robot named Atlas. It's boss battle time! =========== Boss: Atlas ===========---------------------------------------------------------------- Atlas can fly around the room just like you can. The difference is that his laser attack is a hell of a lot bigger. For the first half of the battle he's no problem though. Just stick on one side of him, and blast him with your super laser as you back up. After half of his health has been depleted, he'll try something new. His body will charge, and he'll constantly be firing a laser, that he can change the direction of at will. Do the same tactic of firing your super laser at him, but if he starts turning his laser, fly over him, and attack from the other side. If he dashes at you, fly under him. Don't stop attacking though. He's actually the easiest boss yet, due to how little health he has. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- .----.----.-------------------------------------------------------.----.----. | | | Stage Four - Lord Deadcross | | | '----'----'-------------------------------------------------------'----'----' At the start of the stage, head to the left until you reach two guys dressed in black. You'll be attacked by a group of men in black and blue suits. Defeat the bunch of them, and head to the left. You'll then be attacked by men in green suits. They aren't any tougher, so take them out too. Keep moving, and you'll eventually come to men in red suits. They're holding a little girl hostage. Fight the red suits, as well as any of the other men that will come to attack you. Super lasers ahoy. You'll then take the fight to the air. You'll be flying to the left, as the men come at you on floating platforms, shooting at you. One super laser for each platform should be all it takes to send them to the ground. After you take out the first few, they'll start coming in twos, and from both sides of the screen, so keep your guard up. After you destroy enough of them, you'll reach the big guy. You'll know him because he has a really bizarre hat on. Hit him with three super lasers, and he'll go down just like the others. He'll turn out to be a fake though. So, you'll take it back to the air, in another scrolling shooter stage. It's a little bit harder than the one from stage two, but it's still not too bad. You'll just have to watch out for the spike balls, since you can't destroy them -- at least not until they take the form of normal circles with mouths. When that happens, shoot away until they blow up. After a while, you'll fly to a pink heart. Grab it, and you'll then move on to the fight with Carabs. ============ Boss: Carabs ============--------------------------------------------------------------- This behemoth's got a lot of lasers going underneath him, so don't even try to sneak under there. Instead, start off to the left of him, and hit him with a couple of super lasers. By then, he'll probably have you pinned against the wall, and you'll take some damage. Before your invulnerability runs out, however, you'll be able to fly to the right side of the screen, where there's more room. He'll start shooting bullets from his eye, but stay below them and you're all set. Just keep shooting him with your super laser. After enough damage, he'll go down in flames. Nice and easy. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- .----.----.-------------------------------------------------------.----.----. | | | Stage Five - Marine Express | | | '----'----'-------------------------------------------------------'----'----' As soon as the level starts, you'll have to take out a bunch of different guys in suits that will attack you. Super laser them, then head to the right. You'll then be attacked by a bunch of midgets. It sounds funny, but it's true. They all have guns too. Dangerous little guys! Take them out, and more normal-sized guys will attack you. Continue to lay a beatdown on them. You will then have to fight a few giant guys. They come in all sizes, don't they? Continue to fight your way through rounds of the suited guys. After you take out enough of them, you'll earn a chance to upgrade your skills. Do so, then head off-screen to the right. There, you'll have to take on a couple more rounds of men in suits. You'll then take to the air again. There, it's another scrolling shoot 'em up stage. This time things are a bit trickier, since you'll have to shoot down the suited men's ships while you avoid other small enemies -- and spiked balls. It shouldn't give you too much trouble though. Just keep firing, and use your super laser or machine gun when you feel overburdened. Eventually, you'll reach the boss's ship. There will be three green windows on it. Hit each one with your super laser to destroy them. The shield in front of the ship will then begin to open and close. While it's open, a gun will be firing at you. Dodge the bullets as you hit the gun with your normal laser consistently -- not your super laser, as doing that will often cause the shield to close. After the fight, you'll land on top of the ship. The wind will be pushing you towards the left side of the screen, but fight your way to the right, taking out the suits as they attack you. When you reach the roof of the orange car, you'll drop inside, where the wind will no longer affect you. There, you'll have to do battle with another few waves of the men in black. Will Smith does not make a guest cameo. When you are allowed to, walk to the right to the next cart. There, you'll have to fight even more of the men. Keep going until you reach a short man with a mustache. When you're done talking to him, a pink heart will appear in front of you. Grab it, then head to the next car. There, you'll fight Deadcross, who has a robot named Roboid in his corner. ========================== Boss: Deadcross and Roboid ==========================------------------------------------------------- Deadcross likes to swing his sword at you. Doing this, he'll release blue waves of energy. His robot, er, roboid, will come at you with two sabers. It fights like that golem enemy that you fought in stage two. Try to keep Deadcross between you and roboid. When roboid has you near a while, jump up and fly over him. When you are at a safe distance from roboid, start releasing super lasers. Roboid will probably end up going down first, since both will be hit by the laser. Deadcross is the one you have to defeat, though. To do that, just keep away from him, and keep firing your super laser. If he gets close enough to hit you with his saber attack, jump over him and head to the opposite side of the car. Keep blasting him until he goes down; it shouldn't take that long, since he is a sponge for damage. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- .----.----.-------------------------------------------------------.----.----. | | | Stage Six - Lost World | | | '----'----'-------------------------------------------------------'----'----' In the first area, you'll be attacked by a large group of small stone statue people. They have shields that can block some of your attacks, but stay on the offense, and they'll fall. You'll then have to face a second wave of them -- this wave will be able to shoot bolts from their spears. Again, however, stay on the offense and you'll be fine. Once you take them out, head to the right. There, this large statue will start jumping around the screen. Jump up and nail it with a super laser to take it out. You'll then be faced with two of the statues to do this too. Head further ahead from there, and you'll have to fight a group of the small people, and a few jumping statues. Machine gun them to death, then run to the next screen. As soon as you enter this screen, you'll be attacked by the stone people again -- only now they're big. Take them down, then head further to the right. You'll be attacked by some small jumping statues there. Looks like the last screen through a mirror, doesn't it? You should be able to take out these guys by jumping and melee-ing them if you want. Once they're out of the way, head up the ramp to your right, then drop to the ground on the other side. You'll have to take out some more tiny people there. Then, head further to the right to take out some of the giant ones. Hand them a few super lasers, and keep moving forward. You'll then reach some absolutely gigantic statue. Less than half of them even fits on the screen! Stay in the corner, and try to jump up and super laser them. With some luck, it will only take one or two shots to bring them down. When that happens, pick up the pink heart that they drop, and head to the next screen on your right. There, you'll have to make your way up a hill. Use your boosters to jump over the wheels as they roll down at you. When you reach parts of the pyamid where the wheels drop down, stay under the ledge until a wheel drops, then boost up to the ledge, and continue to ascend the pyamid. At the very top, you'll find a parked ship. Just beyond it, some absolutely huge wheels will be rolling towards you. You don't even have room to jump over them. Take a hit from the first one though, and you should have time to fly through the second two without taking damage. Keep going, and head to the next screen. There, you'll be facing the three-eyed guy. ============= Boss: Sharaku =============-------------------------------------------------------------- This guy flies, and likes to poke you with his spear. The thing is, even if he doesn't hit you with it, it'll launch a shadow-image of the spear which will fly forward. Thankfully, his defense isn't too good. Just by repeatedly firing your super laser at him, you should manage to lower his health bar to below half. When this happens, he'll begin to summon rocks that fall from above. Just keep moving on the right side of him, and wait it out. When he goes back to doing his spear thing the rocks will stop falling. However this time, spears will be flying up from the bottom of the screen. Keep moving, but keep firing your super laser as well. He's a tough boss -- compared to what you're used to at least -- so it may take a while to bring him down. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- .----.----.-------------------------------------------------------.----.----. | | | Stage Seven - World's Strongest Robots | | | '----'----'-------------------------------------------------------'----'----' In the first area, you'll be fighing Pluto. First of all, do not use your super laser attack on him. If you do, he'll warp and do an automatic counter on you. You will get hurt -- badly. You can't punch him either, because he will just block them. You can combine these tactics though, as he can only do so much. Jump and punch him near his head. When he blocks it, unleash a super laser. It'll hit him for full damage, and you'll go unscathed. You will then have to avoid him for a while though, as he'll shoot missiles and blades from his arms. When he's like this, your laser won't damage him. So just jump up and punch the crap out of him whenever you have an opening. When you defeat him, you'll get a chance to upgrade your skills, then you'll move on to the next robot. In the second area, you'll be facing Denkou. Chase after him and give him a few punches to begin with. He'll then begin moving around dropping bombs. You'll see timers on them; just don't be near them when they reach 0. You will see some glowing pods around the room as you move. Destroy ant that you come across that are glowing, or Denkou will be invisible. Keep moving, and try to catch the little guy as he's dropping a bomb. Do that, and hit him with a combo. This will cause him to telport to somewhere else, and reactivate all the pods that you destroyed. You'll have to break them again. Keep up this pattern until he goes down. You'll then be brought up to the next floor, where you'll fight the third robot. The next combatant is Brontus. He'll start by forming into a razor blade and rolling back and forth. Just jump over him while he's in this form. Once he changes back to his normal form, he'll be dizzy. In fact, you'll have time to jump up and blast him with your super laser twice before he reacts. Aim for his stomach. After he regains his composure, he'll begin blasting energy blasts from his stomach. Fly to his back side, and hit him a few more times when this happens. He'll then do the whole razor thing again. You may have to watch out though, because every so often, he'll toss in a phase where he jumps about the room a bit. Wait until he gets dizzy again, and then just rinse and repeat until he's defeated, and move on to the fourth floor and the fourth robot. Up fourth is Epsilon. This fight will take place underwater -- even though back in the second stage water damaged you. Oh well. Epsilon will stand in place and point at you every few seconds. This will cause dolphins to swim by and hit you in a big crowd. A giant whale will also make its way to the area, but you can dodge that by simply staying on the ground. Epsilon can also cause sea urchins to rain from the ceiling. Other than that though, he is pretty easy since he doesn't move. Just jump up and blast him in the face with your super laser when you get the chance. He takes huge damage if you've been upgrading your laser alot. After he's gone, it's to the fifth floor. =========== Boss: Pluto ===========---------------------------------------------------------------- You'll be facing Pluto on floor five -- and he's a cheap freaking SOB. He can take you out in one hit with his laser attack. Yes, the bastard is that damn bad. Besides that though, his attacks are managable. He can fly and spin like a tornado, or draw you near him by acting as a tornado on the ground. He can also use a small laser to set bombs on the ground, that do decent damage if you get hit. These are easy enough to fight against though. You can jump to avoid the bombs, and you can just stay away from him when he is a tornado, and use your super laser on him. He has a missile attack as well, but jump and do a super laser on him, and you'll take those out as well. In fact the only bad attack, is his purple laser attack. That's the one that will track you and drain your health considerably. When he loads it, you'll see a purple circle in front of him. Drop whatever you're doing and fly behind him, out of the attack's distance. There, you can continue firing your super laser blasts at him. You're best bet is to attack as hard and fast as you can before he gets going. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ____ ____ | | | | | /\ |/\/\/\-----------------------------------------------------/\/\/\| /\ | |< >| > 05. Continue the beat down until he's gone. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- =========== Boss: Atlas ===========---------------------------------------------------------------- Atlas can fly around the room just like you can. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ============ Boss: Carabs ============--------------------------------------------------------------- This behemoth's got a lot of lasers going underneath him, so don't even try to sneak under there. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ========================== Boss: Deadcross and Roboid ==========================------------------------------------------------- Deadcross likes to swing his sword at you. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ============= Boss: Sharaku =============-------------------------------------------------------------- This guy flies, and likes to poke you with his spear. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- =========== Boss: Pluto ===========---------------------------------------------------------------- You'll be facing Pluto on floor five -- and he's a cheap freaking SOB. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ____ ____ | | | | | /\ |/\/\/\-----------------------------------------------------/\/\/\| /\ | |< >| > 06.
