Intro************************PMD1***************************************** It's been some time since I've written a GBA guide, eh? About two years, in fact. Anywho, this is my first glitch-related guide in some time. This is for PMD: Red Rescue Team. If you're reading this on Blue, you might not be able to do some of this. Enjoy. 2. Version History************************PMD2******************************* v0.20 - Got the overall format down. Finished Contents, Intro, Legal, the Prerequistes, and the accessing/exiting. Did most of the last section, except the scene listings. Done through Main 4B-7 on those. 11:39 PM 7/5/2011 Final - Done all I can. Any future updates relies on others' submissions. Size: 30.9 KB. 12:43 AM 7/7/2011 - Changed intro ASCII and Legal. 3. Credits************************PMD3*************************************** You -- For reading my FAQ. Accessing/Leaving the Debug Menu************************PMD6************** ~~~ Accessing the Debug Menu If you are using a 2007 Madcatz GameShark, you must not be in the middle of a dungeon. In most cases, the all outside-dungeon areas, the midpoint, and most scenes will function just fine. Press Select and Up to arrive. ~~ Leaving the Debug Menu If you are using a 2007 Madcatz GameShark, simply press Select and Down. This may not always work. For example, you must be outside a dungeon, at the midpoint, or in a scene. In most cases, pressing Select and Down will take you to the Pelipper Post Office, regardless of whether you were in or out of the Debug Menu when you pressed the buttons. 7. The Debug Menu Itself************************PMD7************************* Upon arriving, you'll be there. Here's a rough map of what I know is useful to you or worth interest. The below descriptions are general; specifics are below. [1][2] [3][4][5] [6][7][8] [9][A][B][C] [D][E][F] [G][H] [I] [?] [S] [S] The spawn point I usually am at. [?] When arriving, I sometimes temporarily spawn here, then flick to [S]. [1] Same functions as the mailbox in front of the team base: check mail, job list, and read PKMN News. Looks like a regular postbox, though. [2] Same functions as the bulletin board in front of the Pelipper Post Office: take jobs, see their data, and check job list. Looks the same as the other postbox here. [3] Same functions as the Pelipper who is at the Pelipper Post Office Friend Rescue desk. [4] Same functions as the Pelipper who deals with Thank-You Mail at the Pelipper Post Office. [5] A Pelipper, but you can't talk to him. It isn't like with [H], [I], and [8] -- no text box appears no matter how much you press A. [6] Azumarill. Deals with cutscenes. BEWARE: Messing with them will put you at that point in the story. [7] Wartortle. Same as [6], but different cutscenes. [8] Blastoise with unregistered dialogue. [9] Persian. Mess with your Poke storage. [A] Kangaskhan. Basically, mess with storage. [B] Green Kecleon. Basically, buy items and sell as needed. [C] Purple Kecleon. Basically, buy orbs/TMs and sell as needed. [D] Wigglytuff. Basically, buy Friend Areas. Limited by story progress. [E] Gulpin. Does the whole relearn thing, etc., like normal. [F] Jirachi. Same functions as Luminous Cave. [G] Blastoise that activates effects; detailed below. [H] Golem with unregistered dialogue. [I] An Octillery with unregistered dialogue and a looping version of the papers-being-dropped animation. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [1] Left Postbox ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This postbox has the same functions as the regular postbox. - Check Mail: Checks any mail in the mailbox, be it jobs or PKMN News. Isn't affected by codes. - Job List: Looks at the job list you had prior to entering. Any deletions in the list are in effect, even after exiting. - PKMN News: Checks all the PKMN News you currently have. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [2] Right Postbox ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This postbox works like the Bulletin Board outside the Pelipper Post Office. - Bulletin Board: Shows the current jobs. Same as those on the board outside of the Debug Menu and can be taken. - Job List: Shows your job list. Lets you accept, delete, whatever. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [3] Left Pelipper ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Works like the Pelipper at the Friend Rescue Counter of the Pelipper Post Office. - Receive SOS Mail: Let's you get someone's SOS Mail if they faint in a dungeon. Can be received by Game Link Cable or passwords. - Leave for Rescue: Let's you rescue someone whose SOS Mail you haven't done. - Send A-OK Mail: Sends the A-OK Mail saying you rescued whoever gave you the SOS Mail. Can be sent via Game Link Cable or password. - Delete Mail: Delete mail. Duh. - Cancel: Stop messing around with this Pelipper. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [4] Middle Pelipper ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Works like the Pelipper at the Pelipper Post Office who deals with Thank-You Mail. - Send Thank-You Mail: Sends a mail thanking your rescuer. Only allowed if you were rescued by another player. Transmittable via Game Link Cable or password. - Receive Thank-You Mail: Sends a mail thanking you for rescuing another. Only allowed if you rescued someone else. Transmittable by Game Link Cable or password. - Cancel: Leave this portion of the Debug Menu. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [5] Right Pelipper ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This Pelipper will do nothing that I know of. You cannot even talk to it. It is not like with the Blastoise, Golem, or Octillery -- no text box appears. It probably was meant to be like the far-right one at the Pelipper Post Office: meant to give help. Goes to show you, there are glitches within glitches. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [6] Azumarill ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This Azumarill will let you watch the various scenes in this game. With a catch. If you decide to watch one, excepting a few which are obvious, you will proceed in the game from that point. Obviously, I haven't been able to complete the game from each scene forward. So I can give little else than the scene start, and not whether so-and-so will mess up or whatever. So I'd appreciate some help. Here we go! Oh, and please note that my game's storyline was 100% complete when going into the scenes, so maybe the freezes won't occur for others. A text box will appear saying: "Unregistered dialog script" No period, and it's in red coloring. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [9] Persian ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Works just like Felicity Bank in the town square. Unaffected with normal access to the Debug Menu, unless other codes are used. All transactions will affect those in the square, and vica versa. - Store: Put in more money. - Take: Take some money. - Info: Gives information on the bank's function. - Cancel: Leave this part of the Debug Menu. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [A] Kangaskhan ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Works like Kangaskhan Storage in the town square. Unaffected with normal access to the Debug Menu, unless the "Have All Items" code is used. All transactions affect those in the town square and vica versa. Even glitchy ones. - Store: Put in some items. - Take: Take out some items. - Info: Gives information on this facility's function. - Cancel: Leave this part of the Debug Menu. With the "Have All Items" code, you'll find some items of interest. - Ring D (page 4, below No-Stick Cap) - That's all it says in its description: "Ring D". Has no known effect. However, Mime Jr. is a Generation IV Pokemon, started in 2007, a year after the release of this game. Plus, the interaction between this game and ANY DS game to knowledge isn't allowed. Usage in dungeon functions like a Link Box. Can be sold for 1 Poke. - Weavile Fig (page 24, below Switch Box) - Claims to be a Weavile event item. Usage in dungeon functions like a Link Box. Can be sold for 1 Poke. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [B] Green Kecleon ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Functions just like the (green) Kecleon shop in the square. Same items, too.
