Pokemon Overall Statistics Version 4.0 Pokemon Crysal/Silver/Gold/Yellow/Blue/Red By Paul Oliveira (Paulmolive) paulmolive0@yahoo.ca Started: January 21 2001 Last updated: July 09 2001 --------------------------------------------------------------------- - TABLE OF CONTENTS - --------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. INTRODUCTION - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - I made a list for all the final forms of pokemon I had in the game and I wrote down all of their overall statistics. Doing this made me know who is good in the game and who isn't good. I decided that I could help everyone else and put the list on the internet. Remember that this is the overall statistics of my pokemon. The ones you catch will be different depending on how you raise them. The difference can be as big as 50 points. Since I raised all my pokemon the same way, you don't have to worry about some of my pokemon being stronger because I raised it differently. This FAQ will give you an idea of who is strong and who isn't. Makes me feel proud to be the only person to do this. This is my first FAQ or actually anything I have ever wrote for a game so please e-mail me for any suggestions or any mistakes I have made to paulmolive0@yahoo.ca But please, don't ask me to rate your pokemon team. There are 3 sections. The first section shows the lists of pokemon by their type and shows you their overall power. The second section is a list of all the final forms of pokemon and their overall power in one big list. The third section is a list of ALL the pokemon in the game. It will tell you what all the final forms of pokemon are evolved from. My way of overall power is adding the HP(Health Points) Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed together and then dividing the number by 6. For example Ho-oh. HP + Attack + Defense + Spl. Attack + Spl. Defense + Speed 362 + 313 + 249 + 269 + 357 + 241 = 1791 Divided by 6 = 299 You should know that even though you use someone like Lugia(Psychic), it can still get it's butt kicked by someone weaker like Umbreon(Dark).Pokemon's strengths and weaknesses can play a major role in who is mightier in a battle. So can the item that the other pokemon equips or the moves that it has. IMPORTANT: If you use rare candy to level up you get less stats then if you do it manually. However at the end (Level 100) you'll get the same stats. When you get to level 100 manually you get the highest stat that the pokemon can get. But if you do it using rare candy you'll get much lower stats. Using items like Protein and Calcium to the max while using rare candy to get to level 100 will let you get the same stat as if you did it manually. ********************************************************************** For the people who don't own Crystal/Gold/Silver. I put a * beside the pokemon name to tell you that these pokemon are from Red/Blue/Yellow ********************************************************************** - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 2. POKEMON TYPES - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - These are lists of the different types of pokemon in the game and the overall power they have. This will show you who is the strongest of each type. Remember that these are just the final forms of pokemon and that these are the overall statistics of my pokemon. Your pokemon will be slightly different. Some pokemon are on 2 lists cause they have 2 types. __________________ __________________ BUG NORMAL Heracross 251 * Snorlax 264 * Pinsir 245 Blissey 257 Shuckle 245 * Tauros 243 Scizor 238 Porygon2 242 Forretress 231 Miltank 241 * Venomoth 227 * Kangaskahn 239 * Parasect 212 Ursaring 239 Granbull 238 * Butterfree 210 Stantler 237 Ariados 209 * Clefable 235 Yanma 205 Girafarig 235 Ledian 204 * Dodrio 232 * Beedrill 203 * Pidgeot 230 __________________ * Persian 229 DARK Noctowl 224 Tyranitar 282 * Wigglytuff 224 Umbreon 255 Furret 220 Houndoom 249 * Raticate 218 Sneasel 222 * Fearow 218 Murkrow 217 __________________ Dunsparce 211 DRAGON Togetic 207 * Dragonite 278 Aipom 207 Kingdra 256 * Farfetch'd 197 __________________ * Ditto 170 ELECTRIC Smeargle 166 * Zapdos 276 __________________ Raikou 268 POISON * Jolteon 256 * Electabuzz 250 Crobat 267 * Electrode 237 * Venusaur 258 * Magneton 236 * Tentacruel 250 Ampharos 235 * Nidoking 250 * Raichu 232 * Gengar 247 Lanturn 225 * Wheezing 247 __________________ * Nidoqueen 243 FIGHTING * Muk 243 Heracross 251 * Victreebel 241 * Machamp 247 * Vileplume 237 * Poliwrath 246 * Venomoth 227 * Hitmonlee 237 * Arbok 221 Hitmontop 232 Ariados 209 * Primeape 230 * Beedrill 203 * Hitmonchan 225 __________________ Quilfish 173 __________________ FIRE PSYCHIC Ho-oh 299 * Mewtwo 306 Entei 279 Lugia 306 * Moltres 267 * Mew 281 * Arcanine 267 Celebi 278 * Flareon 260 * Exeggutor 250 Thyplosion 254 * Starmie 248 * Charizard 254 Espeon 245 * Ninetails 249 Slowking 244 Houndoom 249 * Hypno 243 * Rapidash 243 * Slowbro 242 * Magmar 237 * Alakazam 238 Magcargo 208 __________________ Xatu 237 FLYING * Jynx 235 Lugia 306 Girafarig 235 Ho-oh 299 * Mr. Mime 228 * Dragonite 278 Wobbuffet 223 * Articuno 277 Unown 186 __________________ * Zapdos 274 ROCK * Moltres 267 Tyranitar 282 Crobat 267 * Kabutops 247 * Gyarados 255 * Aerodactyl 246 * Charizard 254 Shuckle 245 * Aerodactyl 246 * Omastar 243 Mantine 241 * Rhydon 242 * Xatu 237 * Golem 238 * Dodrio 232 Corsola 208 Pidgeot 230 Magcargo 208 Gligar 229 Sudowood 206 Jumpluff 226 __________________ Skarmony 226 STEEL * Noctowl 224 Steelix 253 Fearow 218 Scizor 238 * Murkrow 217 * Magneton 236 * Butterfree 210 Forretress 231 Togetic 207 Skarmony 226 __________________ Yanma 205 WATER Ledian 204 * Feraligatr 275 * Farfetch'd 197 Suicine 271 Delibird 189 __________________ * Lapras 258 GRASS Kingdra 256 Celebi 278 * Cloyster 254 * Venusaur 258 * Vaporeon 253 Meganium 257 * Blastoise 250 * Exeggutor 250 * Tentacruel 250 * Victreebel 241 * Starmie 248 Bellossom 237 * Kabutops 247 * Vileplume 237 * Poliwrath 246 * Tangela 228 * Golduck 245 Jumpluff 226 Slowking 244 Sunflora 216 * Omastar 243 * Parasect 212 * Slowbro 242 __________________ Mantine 241 GROUND Politoed 239 Steelix 253 * Dewgong 239 * Nidoking 250 Octillary 237 Donphan 249 * Kingler 235 * Nidoqueen 243 * Seaking 232 * Rhydon 242 Quagsire 226 * Golem 238 Lanturn 225 Gligar 229 Azumarill 220 Quagsire 226 * Gyarados 215 * Sandslash 225 Corsola 208 Piloswine 225 Quilfish 173 * Dugtrio 219 __________________ * Marowak 215 __________________ GHOST * Gengar 247 Misdreavus 218 __________________ ICE * Articuno 277 * Lapras 258 * Cloyster 254 * Dewgong 239 * Jynx 235 Piloswine 225 Sneasel 222 Delibird 189 __________________ - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 3. E-MAIL - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Did you know about the Thick Club? This is an item that you can steal (a 1.5% chance) from wild Marowaks and Cubones. Anyways, this item doubles his physical attack power. With the club, my Marowak has an attack power of 496 (Depending on the attack DV, it can be as much as 520!). Compare that to your attack stat for Tyranitar, Dragonite, Mewtwo, and all the other pokemon who are supposed to be super strong. None of them have an attack rating of more than 386, do they? With just the club, Marowak should be MUCH higher on your list. Sent by: Ad Infinitum Thanks for pointing this out. Yes there is an item called "Thick Club" But that is the only item that changes an individual pokemon's stat. Other items like Dragon Fang which increases dragon type moves is used by all pokemon. So the stats shouldn't be showed for when the item is shown. But for the Marowak, his overall stat is 251 when it is equipped. There is another item that doubles the special attack for Pikachu but since he's not a final form of a pokemon he's not in my list. - - - - - - - - - - First of all, I think you did a wonderful job on the Pokemon Overall Statistics FAQ. It is packed with info in 3 different sections and it is really impressive considering you said this was your first FAQ. However, I noticed a couple of things said in your guide that by playing the game (especially looking at pokemon stats over and over while breeding pokemon) are not necessarily true. Here's what I saw: 1. In your intro, you mentioned these were stats for your particular pokemon, that the reader's might be different, but only by about 10 or so. - Actually, I've found that if you have two pokemon, one with at the very minimum of potential and one at the very max, and you train them exactly the same, at level 100 the max-pokemon will be 30 higher in every category (HP, Atk, Def, Spc Atk, Spc Def, Spd). And that is if you raise them exactly the same. If you feed one vitamins and not the other, that is another about 40 points higher in each category that one will get. It also makes a difference in how you train pokemon - do you fight or rare candy? (you mentioned this part) Do you let them get in the finishing blow or pull them back every battle? All these things make a difference. I calculated the very min and very max for Venusaur, and found each individual stat differed by almost 100, and using your formula the minimum came out to 197.5 and the max was 290.5. This means that depending on how you raise your pokemon, the difference between your values and someone elses can be nearly 100, and having pokemon with different potential, the rankings could be different than the way you have them. 2. You also mentioned that by rare candying a pokemon up and then using vitamins you would end with the same values as you would training them manually. - Vitamins have a big impact but if you never actually fight and rely on the vitamins you will not get the highest stats. There are certain stats that can only be obtained through battling. You can get them before L100. Or, to get the very maximum stats after L100 you can continue to fight with that pokemon until it has been in several battles and gained more experience, then "box it". Put it in a PC box and leave it there for a while. Retrieve it and it will have gone up in stats. However, this is a huge pain in the neck and it is much easier to just train them right before they get to L100. Sent by: poke_breeder16 WOW! Thank's a lot for pointing out how to get the most stats from your pokemon you want. For me it doesn't matter since I raised all my pokemon the same way. So don't worry if the stats I have listed are wrong since some of my pokemon are stronger since I raised them differently. - - - - - - - - - - I've been getting E-mails saying that there are lots of times when a weaker pokemon can defeat a stronger pokemon. Yes, I am very aware that you can get someone like Blastoise ,which has a stat rating of 250, to totally crush someone like Ho-oh ,which has a stat rating 299, who is much higher in my stats list. The reason I made this list is to just show you what these pokemon's stats are at level 100. You make the desicion who to pick and what moves to organise. But the list of what types of Pokemon there are and who is the strongest in that type is there to help you make a balanced team. You could get the strongest Fire,Water,Psychic, etc. type of pokemon to make a party the way you like it to counterattack which type of opponent you're playing against. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 6.
