And this is my Ultimate Majora's Mask Quest. If you're reading this, you're probably wondering, "What is this ultimate quest you speak of?". Well, it's something I came up with not long ago. The point is to devise the hardest (yet completable) playthrough for "The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask". Ever heard of and/or try a 3 heart challenge for this game? Well, get ready for a harder version of it. To start things off, I'd like to give thanks to Maoncheese for his inspiration after seeing his "Ocarina of Time: Uber Challenge Guide". Ok, let's get started shall we. NOTE: This contains major spoilers for this game. Do not read on if you have not beaten the game yet. ******************************************************************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ RESTRICTIONS: (RST) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Here are the requirements for this quest. A few things to remember: 1) DO NOT BREAK THE RULES! The point is for it to be hard! Breaking rules defeats the purpose of this challenge! 2) You need to have enough time on your hands so that you can sit through 3 (game) days, as the only quicksave places are Clock Town and Ikana Canyon. So if you mess up, you must restart the whole 3 days in order to do it right. 3) DO NOT GIVE UP! This is possible as I have tried and succeeded at it. Just let loose and have fun with it! 4) If you have any questions, please email me (check the "Contacts" sections for details) with your question and I will answer it in my "FAQ" section. Right before he swings his sword, sidejump then jumpslash. Repeat and he'll be down. Gekko- Dive into the Deku Flower and hit the turtle when it goes over the flower you're in. Turn to normal Link and pull out your bow. Aim at him and shoot. Repeat until dead (him of course). Odolwa- Wait for him to charge at you. Fire an arrow at him. Slash him a couple of times. Repeat. Eventually he'll call up some bugs. Do a couple of spinattacks and they'll die. Repeat what you did to Odolwa. If he calls bees, hide in the Deku Flower until Odolwa kills them. Repeat until Odolwa dies. Wizrobe: Stand in a corner and wait for him to appear. Once he does, shoot him with an arrow. On phase 2, when he appears on all the panels, run around the panels. Tatl will eventually turn yellow. Lock on to him and hit him with an arrow. Repeat and you'll win. Goht: Turn into Goron Link and race after him around the track. Hit him with your goron spikes to deal damage. Try staying lined up with his... ass... so that if he falls over you can get in multiple hits. Near the end of the fight, he will start dropping bombs. Avoid these at all costs. Gerudo Guard: Lock on and walk in a circle with your bow out. Shoot an arrow and she'll do a backflip and then attack. As soon as she swings her sword, shoot another arrow. She'll take damage and then backflip and attack. As soon as she swings her sword, shoot her again. She'll take damage, backflip, and attack. Shoot her two more times when she swings her sword and you'll win. Wart: Hookshot the bubbles repeatedly and then slice them when they get near you. Eventually you will get a clear shot at his eye. Shoot his eye with your bow repeatedly and eventually you'll win. Helpful Hint: Defeat all the bubbles before you attack his eye for an easier fight. Use your red potion if you have it when you take damage. Gekko2: Shoot him once with a regular arrow. He'll jump onto the ceiling while inside a blob thing. It will fall from the ceiling. When it does, hide in the corner. Once he goes back up, shoot him with an ice arrow. He'll fall to the ground and shatter. Switch back to regular arrows and shoot him. Repeat. Gyorg: 3 hearts and less than six hours remaining. Sounds hard right? Not really. Once the fight starts, have your bow ready. Run to the edge of the platform (but not the very edge because he can bite you there) and shoot him. Now put on the Zora Mask. This next part is hard to explain. Go into the water. Without diving, swim close to him and put up the magic shield when you get over him. Right when you hit him, turn around and swim for the platform. As you swim towards it, hold down and then quickly pull up on the control stick. If done right, you will leap out of the water and onto the platform without having to stop and climb up. By doing this you avoid getting eaten and it saves time. Do this one more time. He will then shoot out fish from his mouth. These things are deadly, as they attack in groups and stop you from moving. When he spits those out, shoot him with an arrow as normal Link, then turn into Zora Link and dive into the water with the magic shield ready as you swim towards Gyorg. Leap out of the water using the method I told you about, and repeat the what you just did. He will die after that. If he does manage to eat you, quickly swim to shore and drink the red potion you should have brought with you. This fight isn't that hard, it's just tricky. Skull Keeta: Once you catch up to him, pull out your hookshot and freeze him. Run up to him, slash him and retreat. Retarget him and repeat. Eventually he will start jumping into the air and body slamming you. Run far away from him when he does. Repeat the first part of the battle, but after every time you hit him, run far away and wait for him to hit the ground. Repeat until he dies. Iron Knuckle: Put on the Goron Mask. Get close to him and he'll swing his ax. When he does, back away. If he he swings it and it gets stuck in the ground, run up and hit him once, then back away. Repeat. Only attack when his ax is stuck in the ground. Not a double swing. After about 4 hits, his armor will fall off. Turn to normal Link and run into a corner far away from him. Be quick here. Target him, oull out your bow and shoot him repeatedly. Run around him in a circle so it'll take him longer to catch you. Once you lodge about 4 arrows into his skull, he'll die. Remember, you get hit once and it's instant death. And you don't want that, now do you? King of Ikana: Burn the 2 curtains to let in some light. Use the Bremen's Mask to distract the guards. Then get in a quick jump slash. Repeat. When they fall to the ground, shine light on them and they will fade away. The king will now challenge you to a fight. Hopefully you brought some fairies with you. Run up to him and repeatedly hit him with your sword. If you die, the fairy will bring you back to life. He will eventually take off his head and send it towards you. L/Z-Target the head and scoot in the opposite direction of it and the body. If you are lucky, he will not grab you and take away 2 hearts. If he grab you then I can't help you there. Even I don't know how to break out of it. Eventually he will die (if you don't die first). This is the only battle fairies are legal in. I couldn't seem to get past him without them. Garo Master: Block his attack. Right after he hits your shield, immediately pull out your hookshot and shoot him. If you hit him, run up and slice him once with your sword. If you miss, bring your shield back up and try again. Repeat and he will go down. Be sure to drink your milk if you get to 1 heart. Gomess: Shoot at him repeatedly with your hookshot while avoiding contact with him. Eventually, the room will turn red and the bats will fly off him. As soon as they fly off shoot Gomess to deliver some damage. If you miss with the hookshot, Pull up your shield until the bats fly back to Gomess. If you hit him, put on the Bunny Hood and run around his Scythe attack. Repeat until he dies. If done right, he won't hit you once the whole battle. Twinmold: Probably the most annoying boss in this game when you have 3 hearts, Kokiri Sword, and only 2 bottles of milk. All I have to say is, avoid the head. Aim for the tail. Hold L/Z and repeatedly press B when next to his tail. Get rid of Red first. He seemed to be more annoying than blue. Red's obviously the one that was born first. When you get down to 1 heart left, take off the Giant's Mask and drink your milk. Quickly put back on the mask. If you get hit when you are small, you lose a whole heart. If you are big, it takes off a quarter. Do not follow one of the Molds too far away from the center. They will lead you to a pit and you will have to start over. Majora's Mask: Turn into Zora Link. Use your boomerang attack to stuin Majora go up and attack him. Repeat until the masks on the wall come to life. Shoot them with arrows while avoiding their energy balls. After they die, target the mask and hit him once as Zora Link using the previous tactic. Afterwards, turn into normal Link and hold your shield up. If you stand under him, he will attack with a laser. Do not put down the shield. Walk to the other side with your shield still up and make the laser hit Majora. Repeat until he turns into... Majora's Incarnation: Target him with your shield up. Once he slows down, shoot an arrow at him. Run up and slice him repeatedly. Repeat. If he shoots energy balls at you then hold your shield up and stand still. He should miss every hit. Repeat the above strategy until he turns into... Majora's Wrath: Target and shoot him with a Light arrow. Run up and do a quick spinslash (Rotate the control stick and press B). Repeat. Do not stand still at all during the fight. He will grab you and throw you. After a while he will to throw spinners at you. Target Majora and shoot him with an arrow. This time put your shield up as you get near him. Do a quick spinslash once you get close. Repeat and he will die. All 3 forms of Majora's attacks take away a heart. If you get hit twice, be sure to drink your milk. Congratulations! You have beaten all the bosses in "The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask" with only 3 hearts! ******************************************************************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ HALL OF FAME: (HOF) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If you complete my challenge, then you will be put on this list: COMPLETERS LIST: Dark_Link_Rawks jacobeyave556 Murkatroyd oblivion_buster soral18 ******************************************************************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: (FAQ) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Got a question? Email me (see "Contacts" section for details) and I'll answer it here! Q: Do you have to start a new game when you play this? A: Yes. To prevent any chances of hving something you shouldn't. Q: Why do you need the bomb bag, if you can't use bombs? A: Because you are trying to complete as much of the game without getting any unnecessary items. Q: What if your sword is stlen? A: Short Answer- You're screwed. Long Answer- You'll have to restart the 3 days because you won't be able to get it back until the Night of the Thrird Day which wastes time when you could be completing more of the challenge. Q: How do I get past *insert part here*? A: Read the Walkthrough. If that doesn't help, then Email me. Q: This isn't really a challenge. I'm going to make one with more restrictions exploited glitches! A: Go ahead. But let me tell you one thing, when you start exploiting glitches, you start straying away from the actual game. My challenge is supposed to be a hard and fun challenge. Not "Use glitches to skip most of the best parts of the game!" challenge. But if that's the kind of challenge you would rather play, then hey, I can't stop you. ******************************************************************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ VERSION HISTORY: (VRS) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Version 0.3- I typed up the "Restrictions", "Legal Stuff", "Introduction", "Contributions", and "Contacts" section.
