FOREWORD =============================================================================== Hail and Well met, everyone! This guide was written for Animamundi: Dark Alchemist a visual novel developed by a Japanese company Karin Entertainment (2004) and its official English translation by Hirameki International (2005). Being a visual novel it provides the player with an almost endless stream of text then more text, a choice and text again. Someone who is not familiar with this genre can be confused at first or afraid of not making the right "choice" when the time comes. This is the reason why I decided to write a more comprehensive guide for this game. I was surprised at first how hard is to obtain a decent information on this game. Most of the web sites or web guides are down or they are not finished completely. I hope this guide will be of help to you and good luck with the game! NOTE: I am not native English speaker so if you find any misspellings, bad grammar or anything esle, do not hasitate to contact me. ******************************************************************************* !!IMPORTANT!! There are two known bugs which can ruin your gaming experience! Please look in the IV. TIPS & BUGS section for more information on the insecticide!!! ******************************************************************************* When thou art finished with reading this guide thou shalt give thy soul to me as our contract of me helping thee is fulfilled. =============================================================================== III. STORY & CHARACTERS OVERVIEW =============================================================================== Visual novels are told from the perspektive of the story's hero or by a narrator or a mix of this. This means that the "player" just reads the text and watches the visual aspect. In other words, it is like reading a book with real-time changing pictures depicting the current scene or situation with some music and sound effects added to it. The only real interaction are the several chioces you can make for the hero. It is a visual NOVEL after all... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- THE STORY ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The story unfolds in the fictional Kingdom of Hardland ruled by King Hardland XIII. The king banned everything associated with magic and sorcery and started a machine revolution. Those who still dwell on the old traditions or practice any kind of magical research are forced to abandon it or pay the ultimate price... Georik Zaberisk, a renoved royal physician (doctor) moved years ago to his countryside villa along with his little sister Lilith Zaberisk to live a peaceful life of being a village doctor. One day an invitation letter is delivered to Georik stating that he is once more needed as a royal physician as there is no-one as good as he is. Having a large debt, Georik jumps at the chance and decides to travel to the capital city of Kamazene to meet the king. While he is away his sister Lilith is accused of witchcraft and she is beheaded. When Georik returns for her so they could leave the village and move to the capital he witnesses the horrible witch-hunt and manages to get Lilith's head only to be surprised by that her head is still alive. Feeling responsible and helpless, Georik decides to use his medical skills to learn the secrets of alchemy and restore Lilith's body even if it means to make a pact with the devil himself. Thus begins a true story of Georik Zaberisk, a doctor who is forced to take a dark and dangerous path of alchemy against the kingdom, his friends and ultimately himself... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CHARACTERS ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This section gives basic information about the characters and their role in the game. **COUNT GEORIK ZABERISK** Age: 26 Son of the late count Wolfgang Zaberisk and Elaine Zaberisk, he decided to trade sword for a scalpel and became a doctor. Still, his swordmanship is unmatched as are his medical skills. He cares deeply for his sister Lilith, even moving to the countryside and stopping his work as a royal physician for her sake. Georik is good natured but when the situation desires it he is cappable of making moral conflicting choices. It is said that the Zaberisk blood has always attracted devils themselves... **LILITH ZABERISK** Age: 13 Georik's little sister. She lives a carefree village life and likes to tease her brother as her hobby. Together with their family servant Sebastian they take care of the house when Georik is away helping people. Lilith tends to act a bit spoiled sometimes and feels lonely when Georik is not there to play with her. She is an optimist and sometimes forgets her brother's struggle to help her and the weight of the situation he is in. Lilith seems to like classic nursery rhymes :). **COUNT GERMANT CASSEL** Age: 27 One of Georik's best childhood friends. He is also known as St. Germant the Genius Inventor or The Walking National Secret. St. Germant is Lilith's fiance and a perfect fit for her as he is also a big optimist. He is usually there as a comic relief. His swordmanship is very poor but his intellect is unmatched. Being a genius inventor he usually spends time locked in the castle's workshop or at home playing with machines. This, however, does not prevent him from meeting his friends and helping them when needed, showing his kind nature. **VISCOUNT MIKHAIL RAMPHET** Age: 26 Captain of the Royal Knights, Mikhail is the second best swordsman in the land after Georik of course. After he was beaten by Georik in a fencing tournament at an early age the two became the best friends along with St. Germant. Mikhail is brash, stubborn and often acts before he thinks. This often leads to unnecessary bar fights and problems. He is a very pious man often praying to God even if he has a foul mouth sometimes. He is very strict to his soldiers but this makes them very loyal to him and they often speak of him as a national hero. Mikhail does not mind rushing into battle even if it means losing his life. When he wants to protect someone, he simply does it. **MEPHISTOPHELES** Age: unknown (probably hundreds of years old) A scheeming devil who is obsessed with Georik's soul and stops at nothing to get it. He often appears in Georik's dreams and questions his moral decisions. His true goals are unknown but his first step is to trick Georik into making a pact with him. **BRUNO GLENING** Age: 28 (appears to be but his real age is uknown) Bruno is a mysterious individual. He appeared one day before the king and showed his superb medical and scientific skills easily matching those of Georik and St. Germant. He quickly became the king's favourite and started working as a royal physician even employing Georik as his assisstant. He is a dark and twisted man without regard for human life. He pushes his research above anything else forcing his staff and St. Germant to work day and night on his mysterious experiments. His origin and intentions are unknown but he is already in the favour of the king... **TIMOTHY RIARI** Age: 15 A young boy who befriends Georik and is later employed as his servant. Despite his age he knows much more than others may think and is even Georik's mentor when it comes to alchemy. He is an expert in identifying chemical substances used in alchemy. He also seems to know a bit more about Bruno... **FRANCIS DASHWOOD** Age: 23 This man is a debt collector and Georik's worst nightmare. He stalks Georik like a shadow a often calls him "Master". He is tasked with obtaing money from Georik, a debt which was left by Georik's late father to Dashwood's real master Count Sandwich. In his free time he sells human corpses, attends Black Sabbaths in The Hell-Fire Club owned by Count Sandwich and deals in other things on the black market. Surprisingly enough he has a very kind heart, something which is Georik's father responsible for... **JAN VAN RUTHBERG** Age: 25 Owner of an alchemy shop The Golden Goose and a spirit channeler this man is also Dahwood's colleague. His job is to calm the spirits of the dead when the priests are unable to. He likes to coverse with Georik and even teaches him how to channel spirits. Ruthberg often speaks about Dashwood as a loudmouth who needs to take their master's orders more seriously. **COUNT JOHN MONTAGU SANDWICH** Dashwood's and Ruthberg's boss, leader of the underground society The Hell-Fire Club and an outright twisted man. He enjoys torturing people and watching them offering their blood to the dark god. He knew Georik's father Wolfgang who owed him a large debt which is now Georik's responsibility. He would stop at nothing to get what he wants even if it means killing his own followers. **KING HARDLAND XIII** Hardland's current king. He banned everything associated with magic and pushed forward scientific research on modern weapons and machines. He holds Georik in high regard because Georik cured his daughter from an seemingly terminal illness. He would try anything to prolong his life even started associating with shady characters like Bruno. **SYLVIE HARDLAND** The king's only daughter and next in line to the throne of Hardland. She is forced to marry Bruno one day despite her liking Georik as he saved her life from an illness in the past. She is not afraid to speak her mind even against her father's recent changes in ruling the kingdom. Sylvie cares deeply for her homeland and understands the wealthy vs. poor differences. She also has a rebellious side to her which only shows when the time is right... **MARYN RUBRON** Sylvie's personal attendand and her maid. She understands Sylvie's struggle against her father and Bruno. Despite being careless and easily influenced by rumors she has a serious side to her when needed. She is also briefly shown to be a decent martial artist easily capable of defending against multiple opponents. As with Sylvie, she can also become a different person when her mistress needs her... **GENNAI HIRAGA** Owner of the Oriental Curio Shop, Gennai is a foreigner from a far eastern country of Zipangu. He is a decent swordsman but a better pharmacologist often selling supplies to Georik. He easily befriends Maryn as she is clearly fascinated by the ornamental vases he is selling. Gennai aslo likes to invent his own little machines and even tries to compete against St. Germant. **JAN DESPANIE** Cheerful owner of a local bar which Georik, Mikhail and St. Germant like to visit. Mikhail's usual bar fights often trash his bar but he always knows how to earn money even from these incidents. He likes to brag a lot and it is rumored that he was once a famous pirate captain. **WHISTLER THE RIPPER** A vicious murderer who walks the streets of Kamazene at night. He kills without remorse and primary targets women returning home at night. No-one knows his true identity only that he whistles when he is nearby. The only clues are the scattered body parts and innards of his victims found in the morning... **PARACELSUS** He was an alchemist form an old age centuries ago. It is rumored that he was the first one to successfully make an actual Philosopher's Stone and obtained immortality from an elixir made from the stone. **SIR ELIPHUS LEVI** Former captain of the Royal Knights before he died in a battle. He served as an idol for the three firends when they were young but only Mikhail ended up following his path. **POPE GAMIGIN** Not much is known about him except that he rules the country of Eidellune. This country is known for its affinity with dark magic and for using an undead army. He is also the head necromancer and plans on attacking Hardland. =============================================================================== IV. TIPS & BUGS =============================================================================== This section covers some basic tips on playing and the bugs one should be aware of. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TIPS ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. You can view the pictures, listen to the music, read scenarios again, view your alchemy bible completion and read very brief character descriptions in the Options tab from the main menu. 2. Save often! You never know (yeah right, you are reading this anyway...) when you are presented with a choice. Having more saves can help you to experiment with different choice combinations and achieve different outcomes. 3. Do not be afraid to choose whatever choice you want. It is always best to play from your point of view and achieve "your ending". 4. If you want to skip something you can click on the Skip button located above the text box. It could have been the whole scene but at least the text is scrolling pretty fast. 5. The game WILL make sure that you do not accidentally skip something you have not read before. Well, at least somewhat... The text fast-forwarding will suddenly stop indicating that you did not read this before. Sometimes it just stops because there is one different word because you selected a different choice five chapters back... Do not worry, you will get the hang of it quickly. 6. You will be probably missing a picture in the GRAPHICS. It is on page 14, third picture. You will obtain it when Lilith gets a new body but the elixir is not ready. 7. Once you get an item it stays registered in the alchemy bible and even caries over to the other playthroughs. 8. When you are presented with two choices which are related to items (shoping, researching...) you can select one to obtain the item then RELOAD and select the other one. EXAMPLE: Usually before you go to bed you can either Search or Research. Both of these choices will net you an item. You SAVE then you choose Search then you LOAD and you choose RESEARCH. This also applies when visiting the different shops or the library. Easy, right? 9. There is a patch which uncesores some of the more gory or boy-love scenes and can be found online. Check BUGS below for the download link. More tips on achieving the endings and other gameplay related information can be found in the V. WALKTHROUGH section. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BUGS ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ******************************************************************************* THE FOLLOWING TWO BUGS ARE DETRIMENTAL TO THE GAMEPLAY AND SHOULD BE FIXED BEFORE YOU START PLAYING!!! ******************************************************************************* 1. The first one is that you CANNOT finish the game because some of the items are not properly registered thus you CANNOT create the Philosopher's Stone! 2. The second one is that the text in the Outbreak of War chapter is not legible. This will not ruin your game but it makes you sit through a chapter without text and the story will just fly by you... You need two patches to fix them. Both of them were released by Hirameki but the company no longer hosts them so you need to find them online. Most of the links are dead I believe so if you have problems with finding the patch then here is my own download link: http://www.mediafire.com/?19l14v7eic724od The file contains ALL of the patches you need AND instructions. - the official patch - the two fixes mentioned above - the uncensor patch Please, if you have any problems with the patches or the download, email me. I will re-upload the patches or help you if needed. ******************************************************************************* PLEASE FIX THE TWO BUGS LISTED ABOVE BEFORE YOU START PLAYING!!! ******************************************************************************* 3. The maximum number of items which can be registered in the alchemy bible is 85/88 and even then the amount may vary depending on the SAVE/LOAD trick. For more information see the VII. ITEM CHECKLIST section. 4. In the Person tab of the Options menu there is a character listing. There are three columns with seven rows. You will be missing one entry there: It is in the third column, third row. The entry is supposed to be Pope Gamigin but the game will not update it. If you come across any more bugs let me know and if you know how to squish them then it will be even better! =============================================================================== ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- V. WALKTHROUGH ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- =============================================================================== First of all this is a list of all possible endings you can achieve. The endings are organized as follows: V.I. "A QUIET CORROSION ENDING" [CORR] - just to get missable pictures V.II. NORMAL ENDINGS - Ruthberg's ending [RUTH] - Dashwood's ending (1) [DSH1] - Dashwood's ending (2) [DSH2] V.III. REAL ENDINGS - Mikhails's ending (1) [MIK1] - Mikhails's ending (2) [MIK2] - St. Germant's ending (1) [STG1] - St. Germant's ending (2) [STG2] - St. Germant's and Lilith's ending [STGL] - Lilith's ending [LITH] - Sylvie's ending [SYLV] - Timothy's and Bruno's ending [TIBR] - Mephistopheles' ending [MEPH] V.IV. BAD ENDINGS - Pride [PRID] - Greed [GRED] - Lust [LUST] - Anger [ANGR] - Gluttony [GLUT] - Envy [ENVY] - Sloth [SLTH] - Hell - Queen Lilith [HELL] - He Who Does Not Sin [SINS] - ZAP - Covetousness [COVE] Quite a work to get them all, huh? For a quick navigation, just type the "code" provided next to an ending WITH the brackets. This is NOT the order in which you have to do them. I just divided them to logical groups so that you can have an overview of them all. Also, the walkthrough is based on this list to avoid confusion. Just use the "codes". The order in which I recommend to see the endings will be listed further down. I will always provide the name of the chapter and the choices you can make in that chapter. Every ending will have this information provided so you can get them in no time at all. Do not forget about the SKIP function!!! My recommendation on the endings: - "A Quiet Corrosion" (to get missable pictures) - Ruthberg's ending + Dashwood's ending (1) (you SHOULD do Ruthberg's and Dashwood's (1) endings first as they will be blocked later, if you do them NOW then you can still return to them even later) - Mikhails's ending (1) + Mephistopheles' ending - Dashwood's ending (2) - Mikhails's ending (2) - St. Germant's ending (1) - St. Germant's ending (2) - St. Germant's and Lilith's ending - Lilith's ending - Sylvie's ending - Timothy's and Bruno's ending - Uninstall the game, go out and play with children or something... Those endings which are joined with a "+" sign you can easily get from the same route. For more information look at one of the two. =============================================================================== V.I. A QUIET CORROSION ENDING [CORR] =============================================================================== NOTE: This ending is not official and it is even a bad ending. The only reason I list it here is because you can get MISSABLE pictures in Graphics. This ending occurs when you do not have enough items at a certain chapter. Your reward for it is CROSS OF SLOTH (same as bad ending SLOTH). DO NOT USE THE SAVE/LOAD TRICK! The point of this ending is the lack of items. Always just select one choice and move along. After you achieve A Quiet Corrosion then you SHOULD DO the save/load trick for the next route you choose. For all other routes after that it is pointless as your items will stay with you. As this is not an official ending you can choose whatever you wish except: Demon in the Church "Seek Help" Confession "Keep Lillith in the mansion" Den of the Homunculus "Accept the contract" These three choices are mandatory. After a few chapters later you will get to A Quiet Corrosion chapter and your game will end with a bad ending SLOTH. Now you have the missable pictures and you can start collecting items and playing normally. =============================================================================== V.II. NORMAL ENDINGS =============================================================================== I call these endings NORMAL because they successfully end the game but not in a way it was meant to. Plus they revolve around secondary characters in the last chapters. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- RUTHBERG'S ENDING [RUTH] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Your reward for it is... absolutely nothing. This ending does not even make sense but the game lists it as a possible outcome so here goes: A Messenger at Twilight "I am" choose whatever you want for the next ones "A man" the rest does not matter A Certain Rural Doctor "choose chalice B" The Nightmare Begins "I want nothing of your pact" "Pull Lillith back" Kamazene, the Capital "Play along and pretend that this is your first meeting" Reunion with Old Friends *no choices* Witch-Hunt *no choices* Suspicious People "Threathen them" Boy on a Journey *no choices* Home Sweet Home "Lilith is dead" Scars "Go outside to talk" The Hell-Fire Club "Kneel and kiss his hand" "Leave things in Dashwood’s hands" "Accept" Shining Elixir "Doing a medical experiment" The Royal Physician "Take a peek" "Go" Demon in the Church "Drink" "Seek help" it does not matter if you have your fortune told or not The Great Paracelsus "choose chalice E" "Give it to Lilith" The Oriental Curio Shop "Try to channel spirits" (succeed) "Or shall I see you back?" END OF WALKTHROUGH ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- =============================================================================== =============================================================================== VI. CHAPTERS SUMMARY =============================================================================== This section provides summary to the chapters so you can refresh your memory if needed. I understand that you can just read this and be done with it but you really SHOULD play the game. This is mostly for those who for some reason cannot play it or are unable to finish it and want to know what is this game about. ******************************************************************************* The following section contains !!!SPOILERS!!! ******************************************************************************* **A MESSENGER AT TWILIGHT** Just a short and basic introduction to the kingdom. Mephistopheles will appear in Georik's dream for the first time and he will chat with him for a while about moral decisions. **A CERTAIN RURAL DOCTOR** This chapter introduces our hero Georik and his sister Lilith. Their normal lives are shown and how Georik helps the villagers against bandits. Lilith plays her favourite game with Georik. **THE NIGHTMARE BEGINS** Georik and Lilith are collecting medicinal herbs in the forest but Lilith gets lost. When Georik finds her she is covered in blood and severely wounded by an unknown monster. Mephistopheles tries to trick Georik into making a pact with him and then Bruno appears commanding on Georik's ability to contact devils. Lilith mysterously wakes up and the two return home. Later, Dashwood comes to ask about the debt. **KAMAZENE, THE CAPITAL** Georik goes to meet the king about his new job and ends up meeting Bruno there. He is assigned under Bruno as his assisstant. With this Georik furiously leaves the throne room and meets with Sylvie. They talk a bit about how Georik cured her illness and later Georik decides to meet with Mikhail and St. Germant. **REUNION WITH OLD FRIENDS** Georik together with St. Germant go to Despanie's tavern and wait for Mikhail there. They discuss their meeting with Sir Eliphus years ago and the current state of the kingdom's military. Mikhail gets into a bar fight with a group of mercenaries and afterwards the two leave with totally drunk Mikhail. **WITCH-HUNT** After his experience in Kamazene, Georik comes back home only to find the house empty. He frantically searches for Lilith in the village and then finds her head on a wooden cross in the town's square. She was accused of being a witch by their servant Sebastian and beheaded. Georik kills the robbed men and burns down the village in rage killing everybody in it. He is then shocked by the fact that Lilith's head is still alive and decides to traval to Kamazene with her. **SUSPICIOUS PEOPLE** Georik and Lilith's head come across a small village and they decide to stay there for a night. Georik buys a meal in a bandit infested tavern but the bandits attack him and they start fighting. Lilith's head is exposed from under his cape and Georik has a choice to play it out like a traveling puppeteer or to kill them all and protect his secret. **BOY ON A JOURNEY** Georik meets Timothy before the walls of Kamazene. Timothy's horse is sick but the boy is not allowed into the city. Georik examines the horse but there is nothing that can help it. He then ends its life with a sword but Timothy in a shock notices Lilith. Georik tells Timothy to be quiet about it or his life is over. The two then enter the city and Timothy is appointed as Georik's servant. Georik will feed him and he will be quiet about Lilith. **HOME SWEET HOME** St. Germant pays a visit to Georik and the two have a tea while Timothy is away shopping. Before that Georik went to the basement and hid Lilith there. He tells St. Germant that there was fire in their village and Lilith is probably dead. Shocked St. Germant blames himself and warns Georik that maybe someone is targeting him. **SCARS** Everyone attends the funeral for the villagers and Lilith. After that Georik and St. Germant talk a bit in Despanie's tavern and meet Dashwood there. Back at home Georik buys a few corpses of young girls from Dashwood and tries to attach them to Lilith through normal medical means but fails. In a rage he realises that alchemy might be the only way out. **THE HELL-FIRE CLUB** You may or may not get this chapter. It depends on your relationship with Dashwood. Georik learns from Mikhail that there is suspicious society working underground and decides to investigate it after work. He infiltrates inside and is presented with a horrible sight of the rituals there. Dashwood catches him and soon guards also find out. Dashwood is successful in lying to the guards and Georik escapes. **SHINING ELIXIR** Georik and Timothy open up a locked room in the basement and find an old alchemy equipment used by Georik's father. Georik decides that Timothy will be his alchemy teacher and the two start preparing an experiment. St. Germant comes over and surprisingly joins them. He tells Georik that alchemy is dangerous these days but he will keep quiet about it. Together they make a healing potion and heal an injured bird which Georik gives to Lilith as a present. **TO THE FOREST OF GRIEF** You may or may not get this chapter. It depends on your relationship with Mikhail and St. Germant. The three go dragon hunting during a day off. Depending on your choice they can either take a bath in a forest spring and defeat the dragon or they find ruins of an old kingdom and return home without a fight. Nothing important happens in this chapter. **THE ROYAL PHYSICIAN** Georik starts fully working under Bruno and while he is away Georik takes a peek in Bruno's books. After work Georik can go with St. Germant to the library while Bruno wonders why would Mephistopheles choose Georik over him. **DEMON IN THE CHURCH** Mikhail takes Georik in the church because he thinks that Georik is slacking off on his religious life. A voice from Heaven warns Georik that a demon like him is entering the holy ground. Georik gets a sick feeling from the holy aura in the church and Mephistopheles appears in his mind to taunt him. The priest notices that something is wrong and presents the holy wine for Georik to drink. The glass slips through Georik's fingers and furious Mikhail takes him out from the church and beats Georik up in an alley for desacreting the church. Georik is waked up by Ruthberg and he hides Georik in his shop before the Inquisition finds him. Later that day Mikhail hears the voice of God while praying. **THE GREAT PARACELSUS** Ruthberg tells Georik a tale about an alchemist called Paracelsus and his struggle to create the real Philospher's Stone. After that Georik comes back home and is informed by Timothy that something has happened to Lilith. Georik discovers that she tried to drink poison to kill herself and that she really has magical powers. Georik later discovers a package from Mephistopheles in the laboratory. **THE ORIENTAL CURIO SHOP** Georik pays Ruthberg a visit and learns how to channel spirits. Later that day he attends Sylvie's birthday party with Mikhail, St. Germant and Maryn. Although Bruno comes along too he is soon turned away by everyone. In the evening Georik and St. Germant stop off at Gennai's shop. **A PALACE OF HATRED AND JEALOUSY** The three meet Bruno and Sylvie in the palace. Bruno tells them that his marriage with Sylvie is official and tries to kiss her. Angry Mikhail draws his sword together with Georik but Bruno tells them that they cannot attack him inside the palace. In the evening Bruno devises a plan how to slowly ruin Georik's life and he lets out a rumor among his staff that Lilith is still alive and Georik is hiding her inside his house. St. Germant hears about this and storms in Bruno's office while Georik is still there. **CONFESSION** St. Germant confronts Georik about Lilith in front of smiling Bruno. Georik being cornered admitts that he decieved St. Germant and the two leave Bruno's office. St. Germant goes home to prepare for the meeting with Lilith and is visited by Mikhail. St. Germant tells Mikhail what happened and the two chat for a while about how has Georik changed. Later they all meet at Georik's house and he has no choice but to show them Lilith's head. After the truth is out they agree that Lilith will stay with Georik so they will not make it even harder for St. Germant. After St. Germant leaves, Mikhail vents his anger on Georik and tells him that he has crossed the line and even as his best friend he cannot cover for him indefinitely so it would be best for Georik to give himself up to the authorities. Georik promisses to Mikhail that he will find a solution very soon and after that he will take responsibility for everything. **WHISTLER THE RIPPER** You can only get this chapter when you give Lilith to St. Germant in Confession and it leads to bad ending ENVY. The victims of Whistler the Ripper are increasing so the Royal Knights are in full alert. Gennai meets him when returning from his shop at night but is unable to catch him. Georik has the same luck the following night and is able to stab Whistler the Ripper with a poisonous knife. Georik catches him and when he removes his cape and hat, Georik finds St. Germant under them. St. Germant explains that it is a good think that someone finally got him and that he killed Lilith as he was unable to bear the situation. He then dies in Georik's hands and you will get a game over screen. Although there is not much detail here it is implied that St. Germant was always Whistler the Ripper. It seems that Whistler the Ripper is his alternate personality when St. Germant is psychically cornered. This is backed up by the fact that the killings started after Georik told St. Germant that Lilith is dead and Whistler the Ripper is not mentioned further when you keep Lilith suggesting that St. Germant is glad that Lilith is "alright". Bruno is also shown "slowly and mentally" killing St. Germant. **DEN OF THE HOMUNCULUS** Despite the truth being out everyone seems to be getting to their usual life. Mikhail tells Georik that the two of them will be entering the fencing tournament. Later Georik and St. Germant are called by Bruno to his office and the three go down under the castle through a secret door. Bruno shows them his secret experiments - artifically made humans for battle purposes. When Georik comes back home he decides to make a similar homunculus for Lilith. Before going to bed he is visited by Mephistopheles and must decide wheter he makes a pact with him or not. Georik agrees and becomes Mephistopheles' master. **A DEMON'S TORMENT** You can only get this chapter by declining Mephistopheles' pact. Georik is somehow caught by the Inquisition and tortured to death which leads to either bad ending GREED or SLOTH depending on your last words. **THE FOUNDING DAY FESTIVAL BEGINS** Everyone (except Bruno) prepares for the festival. St. Germant enters the inventor's competiton with Gennai as his rival. He also shows Georik his newest invention, Little Love, a small flying carrier for two people. Unfortunately they crash with it but St. Germant manages to win against Gennai anyway :). Before doing Mikhail's ending (1) the scene with Little Love is not there and St. Germant talks with Gennai instead. **OUTCOME OF THE SHOWDOWN** Georik and Mikhail beat every opponent in the fencing tournament and once again meet in the finals. Georik beats Mikhail with enhanced demonic strength and wins the tournament. Bruno notices the evil aura and orders to change the prize from a chalice to a stone (maybe to slow down Georik's research). Mikhail also notices that something was wrong but admits the defeat. **THE BEAUTIFUL CIRCLE DANCE** Timothy tells Georik that the chalice from the tournament would be perfect for the research so they decide to steal it from the palace. As there is a ball at night it would be the perfect opportunity. The problem is that one has to enter with his/her significant other so they dress up Georik(a?) as a woman (devious little Lilith :) ) with St. Germant as "her" partner. The people Georika meets at the ball (except Mikhail) depend on the route. After a quick dance with Mikhail (I wonder where St. Germant ran off to?) Georika escapes from the ball and changes into her thieving clothes and... becomes Georik the Black Tulip! He is successful in stealing the chalice and even wins against the mysterious female thief Amaryllis. **SOUP OF LIFE** Georik decides to quit his job at the palace and focus more on making the homunculus for Lilith. When he gets home he does not find Lilith or Timothy anywhere. After searching for them he finds Timothy covered in blood with Lilith in his hands. He takes care of Timothy and he explains that they were attacked by the Inquisition. After that they successfully transfer the homunculus and now have one month before it reaches adulthood. **A QUIET CORROSION** If you do not have enough items you will get this chapter and then a game over screen - bad ending SLOTH. Without enough items Georik was unable to make the homunculus for Lilith and now he can only watch her rot away... **THE OTHER LILITH** Georik is intesively working on Lilith's new body and is not meeting anyone. He is visited by Dashwood who informs him that his only choice now is to join the Hell-Fire Club as he did not pay the debt in time. He gives him a letter from Count Sandwhich and tells him that he will come back in a month. St. Germant comes by and asks Georik how is he doing. He then tells Georik that he knows Count Sandwhich and that he should not accept his invitation. Later, Georik asks Ruthberg about the letter and he tells him that it is the only way out. After a month has passed the homunculus is ready for Lilith. Frustrated from everything that happened, Georik gets in a verbal fight with Timothy and later the two behead the homunculus. Georik attaches her body to Lilith and when he calls for Timothy he is not there. He finds Timothy's letter in which he thanks him for everything but thinks that he became a burden for his research. Later that night Dashwood comes to ask about his decision to join the Hell-Fire Club. **ENTERING THE SOCIETY** If you have chosen to accept Sandwhich's invitation you will get this chapter and the whole course of the game will change. Dashwood shows Georik a hidden entrance to the Hell-Fire Club through an underground path from Georik's house. Georik finally meets Count Sandwhich and after a "ritual" he is accepted into the ranks of the club. **THE RULER’S CURSE** Mikhail meets the king and informs him that he will be leaving for a military expedition against Eidellune's forces in an upcoming war. The king tells Mikhail that there is no need for him to throw his life away as the new mechanical soldiers will do the job but he cannot change his mind. The king then enters a secret corridor in the palace and meets with the ghosts of the previous rulers. He seeks their advice on how to win the war and not lose the stability of the kingdom. The other kings are angry with his decisions and that he has a female heir to the throne. They advice him to kill Sylvie and tell Bruno to make him an immortality elixir so he can rule forever. If you have joined the Hell-Fire Club Georik will also contact his father's ghost through spirit channeling with Ruthberg's help. He asks him about his will and if he can trust Sandwhich. **WOLFGANG** This chapter is a continuation of the Hell-Fire Club route. The war has begun but Georik has other matters to attend to. He searches his study and finds a secret drawer with father's will. He discovers that Wolfgang was Sandwhich's friend and also helped him with the financing of the Hell-Fire Club. Puzzled about the situation, Georik meets with Sandwhich and asks him how was it really with his father. Sandwhich explains that they were good friends but despite that, Wolfgang still owed him a large sum of money. He then shows Georik around the club. They visit several chambers with mad people and those who oppesed Sandwhich are brutally tortured. Georik then stumbles upon an old cell with the name Wolfgang Zaberisk. Shocked, he opens the door and finds his father's mumified body with the rest of the letter but now describing the thruth. Sandwhich has been using Wolfgang's money and research for his own twisted ideals and even told him that he owes him a lot of money. In a rage, Georik attacks Sandwhich but he manages to overpower him. At the last moment Dashwood comes and saves Georik by hitting Sandwhich. However, Sandwhich manages to escape taking Dashwood with him and locking Georik up in a corridor. Unable to escape even with Mephistopheles' help Ruthberg comes to the rescue. Meanwhile, Sandwhich is torturing Dashwood for his treason. **TRAP OF DESTRUCTION** You will get his chapter as the finale of the Hell-Fire Club route during Ruthberg's ending and Dashwood's ending (1). After being tortured, Dashwood remembers his first meeting with Wolfgang. He was already betrayed and was slowly dying in his cell. Dashwood brings him poisonous food he always brought him. Wolfgang knows that it is his order and eats it normally. He gives Dashwood a medicine for a skin disease and some money. He tells him that when he is dead Dashwood should take care of his son. Dashwood promisses to do so and tells Wolfgang that he is his only friend. Wolfgang then dies satisfied with his life. This is also why Dashwood likes Georik so much. Dashwood calls for Ruthberg and tells him that he would like to die. They talk for a moment and then Ruthberg poisons Dashwood with a kiss, killing him. Back in Ruthberg's shop, Georik manages to contact Dashwood's spirit and asks him why he did what he did. Dashwood tells him that Georik resambles his father both in appearance and soul. He also tells him that he repaid his debt with his own money but Sandwhich kept ordering to get more. Georik then mourns Dashwood's death and the game ends. **RUIN OF THE HELL-FIRE CLUB** You will get this chapter when doing Dashwood's ending (2). This chapter is an alternative to TRAP OF DESTRUCTION. After being tortured by Sandwhich, Dashwood is locked up in a cold container full of blood. This time Georik decides to rescue him and attacks the Hell-Fire Club with Mephistopheles. He manages to rescue Dashwood before it is too late and Mephistopheles kills Sandwhich. With Ruthberg opposing them Mephistopheles burns down the whole club probably killing him. The two escape the flames and get back home. Georik tries to operate on Dashwood but he tells him that it is alright and that he has no regrets. Dashwood then dies in Georik's arms and the game ends. **EXPERIMENTS UNDER THE CASTLE** You will get this chapter when you do not join the Hell-Fire Club and continue normally. After quitting his job, Georik was buried in his research. A soldier from the palace comes and informs Georik that St. Germant is in bad health. If Georik decides not to go to the palace the soldiers will keep coming until Mephistopheles scares them away with a fire. Georik then spends the day taking care of Lilith. If Georik decides to go to the palace he is escorted by the soldier and Mephistopheles warns him that it may be a trap set up by Bruno. Georik finds St. Germant in Bruno's office being abused by Bruno. Georik tries to help him but is knocked out by a magical circle to ward off devils. When he comes to he is lying on a surgery table ready to be disected. Meanwhile, the soldier who came with Georik is being controled by Mephistopheles and he calls Mikhail for help. Mikhail storms in Bruno's office and frees Georik from the table. Together with the soldier they enter Bruno's underground homunculus factory. They find Bruno there and they start fighting. Georik stabs Bruno with a sword but Bruno is shown to be immortal against normal wounds. Hypnotized St. Germant joins them and he starts shooting at Georik while Bruno escapes. Mephistopheles ends the confusion and they escape the factory. **BEAST OF AMBITION AND APPETITE** You will get this chapter when going for bad ending GLUTTONY. On his way to the palace Georik is stopped by a suspicious soldier. He checks Georik and when he crosses the gate the soldier knocks him out. Georik wakes up on a surgery table unable to escape. When Bruno tries to disect him Georik's demon form awakens. Later, it is shown that Bruno has tamed him and now demon Georik serves as Bruno's pet. The game over screen is shown. **THE ARCHANGEL'S SWORD** You will get this chapter when going for St. Germant's ending (2). St. Germant exposes Bruno's research to the king and Bruno is arrested. Because of that the war is avoided. Mikhail meets with Mephistopheles in church and tells him that he will free Georik from the pact. The two fight and Mephistopheles is quickly overpowered by Mikhail's archangel form. Georik together with St. Germant then live happily under one roof and the game ends. **OUTBREAK OF WAR** []..[..[][]].[]..[[| Sorry, I could not help myself. Mikhail is leaving for the expedition and says goodbye to the Royal Knights. Meanwhile, Bruno and St. Germant are discussing the new mechanical soldiers made from the homunculi who are programmed with a self-destruct mechanism and they cannot tell friend from foe. The war then officially starts. **CIVIL STRIFE** Mikhail is captured by Eidellune's forces. Pope Gamigin tortures him and tells him that he will be a powerful asset to his undead army. A voice from Heaven calls to Mikhail and tells him that he is not ready to die yet as he has yet to face his ultimate enemy. Pope Gamigin then kills Mikhail and resurrects him as a living corpse. Meanwhile, the city is in complete chaos. The king is not meeting with his people and the citizens are starting to riot. Ruthberg closes his shop and leaves the city. Bruno is gaining on power and the enemy forces are advancing towards Kamazene. Back to Mikhail, the voice speaks to him again and he is resurrected in his other form as Archangel Michael. He then destroys a part of the enemy army and flies back to Kamazene to confront his ultimate foe. **A LUMINESCENT BLESSING** While researching, Georik is finally able to make the Philosopher's Stone so he can make the elixir of life which is necessary for Lilith to accomodate to her new body. Timothy's voice calls to him and tells him that he is proud of his student. He then introduces himself as Paracelsus and tells him that Timothy and his young appearance were just for cover. Georik is then finally able to finish Lilith and he gives her the potion. **AWAKENING** Lilith is living her normal life again. Mephistopheles appears to Georik and tells him that his time is up and the contract should be finished by taking his soul. Georik manages to persuade (he persuaded a devil, OK?) Mephistopheles to give him just a half of a day. Georik finishes his research and alchemy studies by turning several metals to gold and spends his last moments with Lilith. Mephistopheles appears again and finishes the contract by kissing Georik. He then transforms into the Lord of Hell, Lucifer. Georik, now in his new form, tells Mephistopheles not to tell Lilith about all of this. However, Mephistopheles replies that she knew all along about everything that was happening and that she was in fact the first person to summon him to this world. He also tells Georik that he actually died some time ago and Lilith unable to bear to be left alone summoned Mephistopheles to revive him. He then took a liking to Georik. With the truth out, Lucifer says goodbye to Lilith and decides to put an end to Bruno and his schemes. **GENTLE POISON** You will get this chapter when going for Timothy's and Bruno's ending. Timothy meets with Bruno in his laboratory and after it begins to crumble they escape to an underground passage. They talk about their first meeting long time ago and how Timothy or Paracelsus was teaching Bruno the arts of alchemy. Timothy tells Bruno that he is disappointed that he is using alchemy for evil but Bruno tells him that it was he who abandoned him. Timothy tells him that they both pursued immortality and thier research was wrong. He then draws a golden sword and pierces both him and Bruno. Paracelsus is satisfied that they can now both disappear from the world, they crumble to dust and the game ends. **A THOUSAND YEARS OF DARKNESS** You will get this chapter when going for bad ending LUST. Lucifer decides that he needs a successor and goes to the palace. He takes advantage of Sylvie's feelings for Georik and a year later a new prince of Hell is born. The game then ends with a game over and a very gory scene. **DEVIL'S ELIXIR** The tesnsion in the city is rising and Hardland is losing the war. Citizens are rioting and want to overthrow the king. The king calls for Bruno and wants him to make more of the elixir as his health is worsening. Bruno tells him that he told the people about the immortality elixir and that he no longer serves the king. Hardland understands that Bruno has finally shown his true colours and is arrested by the guards. Lucifer comes to the palace and fights with new Eliphus' clones. He then meets staggering Mikhail who have rturned from the front and tells him that he will wait for him to change into his archangel form and leaves. Meanwhile, the king is beheaded by Bruno's Eliphus clone before the whole crowd of raging citizens. **EMBRACED BY THE DARKNESS ETERNAL** You will get this chapter when going for Lilith's ending. Lucifer decides to leave the kingdom and return to Hell. Lilith asks him if he can leave Georik with her. Lucifer tells her that it is not possible as Georik is him and he is Georik. Lilith replies that even if there is at least a part of Georik left in Lucifer, she will come with him. Lucifer takes Lilith with him and flies far away to a different world and the game ends. **QUEEN OF HARDLAND REBORN** You will get this chapter when going for Sylvie's ending. Sylvie and Maryn take shelter in an underground passage with other refugees. A strange old man approaches Sylvie and tells her to meet him later so they can talk alone. Despite Maryn's concerns, Sylvie meets with the old man and he gives her an ornamental rosary and disappears. Maryn thinks that Sylvie is halucinating as she did not see an old man. Following the old man's advice Sylvie and Maryn meet with Pope Gamigin and his approaching army. Sylvie uses the rosary against the pope and the strong holy aura manages to drive his army away. Sylvie is then named the Queen of Hardland and together with Maryn and St. Germant by her side she starts rebuilding the kingdom and the game ends. **THE ONE WHO PUNISHES** Bruno returns to the castle and is confronted by Mikhail, now Archangel Michael. Michael says that Bruno will burn in Hell for his crimes and kills him. Michael then flies off to face Lucifer. Lucifer and Michael meet in front of Georik's mansion with St. Germant also being there. Lucifer tells St. Germant that when this is over he will inherit his mansion and his research. Michael tells Lucifer that he knows why the two of them were always competing in swordsmanship, it was because Lucifer and Archangel Michael were always fighting as Good vs. Evil. The two of them then fight in a cataclysmic duel. They both struck each other at the same time and start to fall to the ground as Georik and Mikhail again. **SOUL IN HEAVENS** You will get this chapter when going for Mikhail's ending (2). After Mikhail regains consciousness he finds himself in a forest. He looks for Georik but he cannot find him anywhere. Mephistopheles comes to him and tells him that Georik's body is lying under a tree nearby but he took Georik's soul. Mikhail tries to wake Georik up but with no avail. He transforms into Archangel Michael and asks Mephistopheles if he can show him Georik's soul. Mephistopheles does so and Michael steals the soul. He tells Mephistopheles that he is taking it with him to Heaven. Tricked, Mephistopheles sits down under a tree and waits for a new master to come by one day and the game ends. **A NEW JOURNEY** You will get this chapter when going for St. Germant's ending (1) and St. Germant's and Lilith's ending. Georik and Mikhail are nowhere to be found so St. Germant inherits Georik's mansion and research. He is now living with Lilith but both of them know that her new body will not last long. They decide to marry so that Lilith can spend her last days in happiness. Some time later Lilith dies and Archangel Michael appears to grieving St. Germant. He tells him that from now on he must live his own life and that whenever he is in danger Michael will come to him and the game ends. During St. Germant's and Lilith's ending you will get one additional scene. St. Germant drinks an immortality elixir which he made from Georik's notes and later lifts the ban on magic. From then on he dedicates himself to help people with the power of alchemy and the game ends. **THE FOREST OF CONFUSION** If you are familiar with the epic poem Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri then you will enjoy the following chapters even more because they are truly beautiful! Georik wakes up in an unknown forest. He wanders around looking for someone but no-one is in the forest. He gets lost but Paracelsus suddenly appears and shows him the way out. They took a boat accross a lake and find themselves before The Gates of Hell. **INFERNO** Georik is guided by Paracelsus through Hell's nine circles. In every circle Paracelsus explains why the people are suffering there for their sins and Georik reflects upon his life and that he too should have suffered with them. They come accross a same looking house as the one Georik lived in. Puzzled, Georik opens the door and is welcomed by Mephistopheles. He tells Georik that this house is the true version and that the one above is just a copy prepared for Lucifer. If Georik agrees to be Lucifer he reverts back to him and together with Mephistopheles they rule in Hell. If Georik declines to be Lucifer he defeats Mephistopheles and is escorted from Hell by Paracelsus. It is also possible to meet the real Lilith here but that ends in a game over. **PURGATORIO** Georik is once again guided by Paracelsus through Purgatory but this time he is the one who should repent for his sins. After Georik clears the seven trials and is cleared of his sins he can enter Paradise in Heaven. **PARADISO** Georik enters Paradise with Paracelsus and meets the Saints. They ask him to relinquish all material possessions as he do not need them here. Georik does so and obtains Animamundi, the ultimate knowledge of all things. The angels tell Paracelsus that he did a great job escorting Georik but as a sinner he must return to Hell. Paracelsus parts with Georik and meets his student Bruno in Hell. Georik is given one more chance to repeat his life and is sent back to earth. **THE INVISIBLE CROWN** Georik appears in the village at the start of his story the night before Lilith was beheaded. He comes home and tells Lilith to quickly pack her things as they are leaving for Kamazene tomorrow. Mephistopheles appears to tell Georik about the contract but Georik tells him the he knows everything about Mephistopheles using his soul to bring back the real Lucifer frozen in Hell. Georik then kills Mephistopheles with his new holy power and the following day he and Lilith escape. Everything was fine after that. Bruno's plans were exposed before he started working in the palace and the king died a natural death. The only one except Georik who remembers "the other reality" is Mikhail. The two have a friendly match in the palace and Mikhail promisses Georik that if he ever again goes down the dark path, he will be there to correct him. The game then ends. ******************************************************************************* End of !!!SPOILERS!!! ******************************************************************************* =============================================================================== VII. ITEM CHECKLIST =============================================================================== This section will cover items Georik can obtain during his journey. There are 88 items in total but due to a bug the maximum number is 85 and even then it may vary depending on how lucky you are with the SAVE/LOAD trick. The problem is that by doing the trick some of the items may not register no matter what you do. From observation I can tell that you will have no problem finishing the game but do not expect 100%. Feel free to print this part and cross out the ones you already have. I will not list the exact location, day or scene as that would be difficult but I will give you a general idea. Do not be afraid to use the SAVE/LOAD trick. It makes the game faster and most of the time you will register almost all of the items anyway. Every item you obtain will stay registered even for another playthrough so you do not need to research every time and later it is just a waste of time. The only time you can lose items is during Mikhail's ending (1). You will lose all of the crowns which is not a big deal as you will not have any except from Dashwood's ending (1) plus all of the crosses so that is why I recommend to do bad endings last. **NO.1 AMETHYST** Bought at Ruthberg's shop The Golden Goose. **NO.2 SHORT SWORD** Given by Dashwood when infiltrating The Hell-Fire Club. **NO.3 THE PHILOSOPHER'S STONE (RED FLOURITE)** Obtained via research. INTERESTING FACTS =============================================================================== This section will provide background information on naming of the characters or on whom they are based and other interesting information. The following part contains spoilers and it would be best to read it after you complete the game so you will understand it better. Georik's relationship with Mephistopheles is probably based on the faustian legend. Faust was a successfull scholar and a very inteligent man lacking only the esence of happiness. Mephistopheles, a devil, was drawn to him as his soul was perfect. He promissed Faust that he will show him what hapiness is in exchange for his perfect soul. Although Faust agrees he later sees the destruction in his doings with Mephistopheles. When the time comes to give his soul away Faust is saved by God and Mephistopheles loses the deal. I think this perfectly mirrors Georik and the game's Mephistopheles. This time however "Faust" wants to bring happiness to his sister. Georik's struggle through Hell, Purgatory and Paradise is very likely based on the epic poem Divine Comedy (recommended) by Dante Alighieri from the 14th century. In the poem Dante (Georik) is guided by the ghost of Vergil (Paracelsus) through Hell seeing the sinners there being punished and later through Purgatory. In Paradise he is guided by Beatrice who is made up from Dante's mind as a glorius and ideal being. Dante then meets the Saints and finally God and understands the importance of God and religion in human life. Unlike Georik, Dante is just an observer during his journey and asks questions about the values in human life. Georik however, participates in the cleansing of his own sins. Archangel Michael's and Lucifer's rivalry is well know symbol of Good vs. Evil. Michael is generally considered the leader of the army of God against the forces of evil led by Satan (Lucifer). Interestingly, Lucifer was the name of Satan before he fell down from the Heavens under the weight of his sins and broke his wing. This can be seen by looking at Georik's wings. Lilith's name is taken from the female demon Lilith who is considered a female counterpart to Satan and his wife. Some sources say that she was Adam's first wife or wife of the king of demons Asmodeus. Dashwood is basen on Baron Francis Dashwood an English politician in the 18th century and founder of the real Hellfire Club. Although the game's Dashwood is same only in name and his link to the Hell-Fire Club and not even the founder, the real Dashwood really participated in his club's activities until it was made public and the club was disbanded. Interestingly, Count Sandwhich who is based on another british politician from that time, Earl John Montagu of Sandwhich, was a participant in Dashwood's meetings. It seems that their roles were reversed in the game and their personas completely changed. Ruthberg is based on flemish mystic and priest John of Ruysbroeck or Jan van Ruusbroek (Ruthberg is probably mistranslation or a fonetic change although it is read similarly) who lived in 14th century and wrote many books on how the soul travels to God. His game version has been added the ability to exorcise evil ghosts, channel spirits, tell fortunes and... a very stupid ending. His expertise in assassinations as Cantarella is probably based on a type of poison used by Pope Alexander VI to silence politically dangerous people. St. Germant is based on Count of St. Germain who was an inventor, alchemist and musician. His real name, origin and background are still unknown which led to many theories about him being immortal and that he was able to drink the actual immortality elixir from the Philosopher's Stone. I think that the musician part can be seen when St. Germant whistles to call the dragon although that may be because he is... Bruno's name is derived from a supposed german "Miracle Doctor" Bruno Groening. He appeared in Germany in the 20th century and was said that he can cure any illness through spiritual force. He believed that health is a natural state of all living things and only deep understanding of this system and its relation to illness can cure oneself. Most considered him a charlatan but others saw him as someone gifted with holy power. Everything remained unknown. The game's Bruno is somewhat similar in this aspect althoug he is evil. He too appeared out of nowhere and displayed extraordinary medical and scientifical skills but was meant to be evil plus his name is just too much of a coincidence. If you transcribe Timothy's surname Riari in Japanese you will get Leari or Leary and then Timothy Leary. He was an american psychologist and was famous for popularizing the LSD drug. This does not make any conections to the game's Timothy so I think that the developers just borowed the name or it is just a coincidence. Paracelsus is based on a famous and influential Swiss physician and alchemist Philip von Hohenheim also known as Paracelsus. He lived in the 16th century and wrote many books on medicine and the use of poisons for healing purposes. He viewed alchemy as a way to heal people not to gain wealth. The game's Paracelsus seems to be similar only in name although his views on alchemy can be considered the same. Gennai is based on a Japanese pharmacologist and inventor Hiraga Gennai from the 18th century Japan. Whistler the Ripper is very likely to based on the killer Jack the Ripper whose identity is unknown and he killed in very similar fashion during his rampage in the 19th century London. Eliphus has his name taken from a French occultist and magician Eliphas Levi who was a key founder of the modern views on magic and occultism during the 19th century. The game's Eliphus is similar only in name. That is all I could came up with. If you have something more to add then feel free to send me your suggestions or corrections. =============================================================================== IX. CONCLUSION & HOW CAN YOU HELP =============================================================================== I would like to thank you for reading this guide and I hope that it helped you in finding your way through the mysteries of alchemy. You might have noticed that some sections are a bit detailed or that the section VIII. INTERESTING FACTS may be not needed but I think that this game should have had more attention so a deeper knowledge and background information would make players more interested and they will go for all the endings. I will credit anyone who can help :). =============================================================================== X. VERSION HISTORY =============================================================================== - version 1.0 The very first version of this guide. Completed... well, everything I can think of. Written from November 4 to November 20 of year 2011. - version 1.1 November 22, 2011 Added Neoseeker to the list of web sites allowed to host this guide. Misspellings and grammar corrections. I have found a lot of them actually... Changed the order of some of the chapters in the summary section. - version 1.2 December 5, 2011 Added information about item NO.31 MAGICAL WHITE MEDICINE. Corrected that the cause of items not registering properly is due to the SAVE/LOAD trick especially LIQUID ONYX, WORDLESS BOOK and WAND. See CREDITS for who has contributed. - version 1.3 May 15, 2012 Corrected the guide for the ending PRIDE. I cannot believe I got the whole section wrong... Added in BUGS that the missing entry in PERSON should be Pope Gamigin. Removed the bug about a missing picture (page 14, third picture) from BUGS. It is not a bug but I have missed it. Moved it to TIPS instead. From now on I am considering MAGICAL WHITE MEDICINE missing as a bug. See CREDITS for who has contributed. =============================================================================== XI.
