Introduction =============================================================================== This is the sixth in a series of eight planned adventures in the Ben Jordan: Paranormal Investigator series. The games can be downloaded for free from the developer's home page (http://www.grundislavgames.com/benjordan). In this game, Ben, Alice and Simon travel to Greece for a vacation after their last case in Japan. Unable to make their way into Athens, they instead end up in Agia Anna a small fishing village. People have been disappearing lately and odd drag marks in the sand are the only evidence. The trio must investigate whether it is the Sea People or some other force that is taking people from the village. =============================================================================== 2. Walkthrough =============================================================================== AIRPORT ------- Walk west twice and go through the doorway to exit the airport. Talk to the taxi drive about the taxi: He will go anywhere except Athens. Ask about Athens: Lots of demonstrations are being held today. Return to the airport. Walk east twice and talk to the woman about Athens: She wants her soul. Ask about the soul: It was stolen by a tourist when he took her picture. Ask about a deal: She agrees to help Ben if he finds the camera. Walk west and enter the cafe. Talk to the tourist about himself: His name is Steve. Ask about the vacation: He is travelling around the world. Ask about pictures: He took a picture of the woman. Offer to take his picture: He stands outside the cafe. Tell him to move forward twice, right four times and back once: He will be arrested by security, leaving Ben with the camera. Walk east and give the camera to the woman: She breaks it. Talk to the woman about the Sea People: She tells Ben that he needs to travel to Agia Anna to investigate the Sea People. Ask about Agia Anna: The taxi driver will take him there. Walk west twice and go through the doorway to exit the airport. Talk to the taxi driver about Agia Anna to travel there. AGIA ANNA --------- Walk up the stairs to the bungalow and enter the bathroom to get a mirror. Open the dresser to find a bottle of suntan lotion. Exit the bungalow. Walk north to the beach and east to arrive in the town. Go through the middle doorway to enter the pub. Talk to the man about himself: Ben recognises him as the author of the Paranormal Investigator's handbook. Ask about the P.I. handbook. He agrees to meet Ben at the restaurant later in the evening. Ask what he's doing here: He is here to research the Sea People. Ask about the Sea People: He talked to a local fisherman about them. Ask about the fisherman: He should talk to Ben if he mentions the professor. Exit the cafe. Walk west twice. Get the metal object (metal bar) in the sand. Approach the fisherman's house. Knock on the door and then talk to the fisherman when he answers to be invited into the house. Talk to the fisherman about the Sea People: People have been disappearing from the village. Ask about the boat: He mentions a bottle of ouzo. Ask about ouzo: He will talk more about the boat if Ben brings him a bottle of ouzo. Exit the house. Walk south twice and east to return to the town. Open the middle door to return to the bar. Look at the bottle on the table. Talk to one of the guys at the table about the ouzo: They got it from next door. Exit the bar and open the left door to enter the pizza shop. Talk to the woman about the pizza place: She is not the owner. Ask about the pizza: She gives Ben a lump of dough. Ask about the bar: She asks Ben what drink he would like. Mention ouzo: She sold the last bottle to the guys in the bar. Ask about the Sea People: She says it is bad luck to talk about the Phorcydes. Exit the pizza shop and return to the bar. Talk to Lambros about the ouzo: They mention a trade. Ask about the drinking contest: Ben needs to find someone else to participate in the contest. Use the mirror from the bungalow on the nail on the wall. Exit the bar and return to the bungalow. Talk to Simon about the drinking contest: They both go to the pub. After he explains the rules of the game, select "you understand" to begin. When he holds his hand up, look in the mirror to see how many fingers are raised and then answer him. After six correct answers, they will give away the bottle of ouzo. Return to the fisherman's house and give him the ouzo: He will put two cups on the table. Get the left cup. Talk to the fisherman about boat hiring: Before leaving for the boat, he tells Ben about the legend of the Sea People. BOAT ---- Get the chain and the hook. Go down the hatch and use the metal bar on the saw trophy to get the sawfish snout. Go up the ladder. Talk to the door to call the fisherman. Talk to the fisherman and chart a course for Oracle Island. ORACLE ISLAND ------------- Walk east and get one of the white flowers. Combine the sawfish snout with the metal bar to get the cut bar and the broken snout. Use the chain and the cut bar on the device. Use the hook on the chain. Get the chain and use it on the boulder, then use the crank on the device to move the boulder. Enter the cave. Walk right and use the notepad on the inscription at the bottom of the statue. Exit the cave, walk west to the beach and use the dinghy to return to the boat. BOAT ---- Use the cup from the fisherman's house on the sea to get salt water. Go down the hatch and use the salt water on the still to get fresh water. Go up the ladder. Talk to the doorway and the fisherman will appear. Show the note to the fisherman: Only those who quench the thirst for knowledge may summon the Oracle. Talk to the fisherman and chart a course back to Oracle Island. ORACLE ISLAND ------------- Walk east and enter the cave. Use the cup of fresh water on the statue: The Oracle appears. Talk to the Oracle about the Sea People: She tells Ben to travel to the Vanishing Island. Ask about the Vanishing Island: It is an island that is shrouded in mists. Ask about herself: She can give prophecies. Ask about the future: Ben will soon have his darkest hour. Return to the boat. BOAT ---- Talk to the doorway and the fisherman will appear. Talk to the fisherman about the vanishing island: The island is often shrouded in cloud, and there is a legend of a beast on the island. Chart a course to the Island of the Minotaur. ISLAND OF THE MINOTAUR ---------------------- Walk west twice to see an opening. Use the bush to get a yellow flower. Use the suntan lotion on the opening, then use the opening to enter the cave. Get the glint on the nose of the right fresco. Exit the cave. Walk east twice and use the key on the doors. Go through the doorway to enter the labyrinth. Walk north twice and east. Use the rubble to find a cog. Walk north twice and get the horn near the skull. Walk south, west three times and north. Use the cog on the mechanism and the horn on the stone plate: The sound of something opening can be heard. Walk south twice and east. Use the horn on the opening to open the door. Walk through the opening to see a mosaic. Use the notepad on the mosaic to get the map. Walk west, east and south three times to exit the labyrinth. Outside, walk west and south to the beach. Use the dinghy. BOAT ---- Talk to the doorway and the fisherman will appear. Show the map to the fisherman: He knows the island. Chart a course to the lair of the Sea People. LAIR OF THE SEA PEOPLE ---------------------- Ben realises he needs diving equipment to dive down to the lair. The fisherman doesn't have any equipment, so Ben decides to return to Agia Anna. AGIA ANNA --------- Walk east and open the left door to enter the pizza shop. Use the chair to sit and talk to Quincy about all topics. Walk west and north. Walk upstairs to the bungalow. Use the bed. The next morning, talk to Alice about all topics. Simon calls Ben to the beach, where drag marks have appeared in the sand. Walk north to the bungalow and south to the campsite. Get a flower from the plant. Walk west, north and east to the town. Open the middle door to enter the bar. Talk to the woman about herself: She sells flowers. Ask about flowers: She is very knowledgeable on them. Show the pink flower to the woman: It is an iris. Exit the bar. Walk south, west and approach the fisherman's house. Get the mesh from the frame of the box. Knock on the door to enter the fisherman's house. Talk to the fisherman about the sea people: They stole the tentacles from the box outside his house. Ask about underwater: He tells Ben that he should ask the Oracle. Ask about sailing to return to the boat. BOAT ---- Talk to the doorway and the fisherman will appear. Talk to the fisherman and chart a course back to Oracle Island. ORACLE ISLAND ------------- Walk east and enter the cave. Use the fresh water on the statue and the Oracle will appear again. Talk to the Oracle about the Sea People's lair: If the king of the Sea People is destroyed, the other Sea People will die. Ask about underwater: A special potion must be used. Ask about the potion: She needs an iris and the scale of a siren. Exit the cave and return to the boat. BOAT ---- Talk to the doorway and the fisherman will appear. Talk to the fisherman about sirens: He mentions an island to the northeast. Chart a course to Siren Island. SIREN ISLAND ------------ Ben arrives at the island and hears a beautiful voice. Walk north and get the stick. Use the dough in the inventory to make the dough pieces. Use the dough pieces on Ben and he will put them in his ears. Walk west to see the siren. Combine the mesh with the stick to make a net. Use the net on the pond to get a siren scale. Walk south and east. Use the dinghy to return to the boat. BOAT ---- Talk to the doorway and the fisherman will appear. Talk to the fisherman and chart a course back to Agia Anna. AGIA ANNA --------- Walk south and talk to Alice, Simon or Quincy about the sirens: They mention that earplugs should be used. Return to the fisherman's house and knock on the door. Talk to him about sailing to return to the boat. BOAT ---- Talk to the doorway and the fisherman will appear. Talk to the fisherman and chart a course back to Oracle Island. ORACLE ISLAND ------------- Walk east and enter the cave. Use the fresh water on the statue and the Oracle will appear again. Give the iris and the siren scale to the Oracle: She tells Ben to return tomorrow for the potion. Return to the boat. BOAT ---- Talk to the doorway and the fisherman will appear. Talk to the fisherman and chart a course back to Agia Anna. AGIA ANNA --------- Return to the bungalow. Ben talks to Alice and Simon, who agree to go on the boat with Ben to find the lair. The next morning, they return to the boat. BOAT ---- Talk to the doorway and the fisherman will appear. Talk to the fisherman and chart a course back to Oracle Island. ORACLE ISLAND ------------- Walk east and enter the cave. Use the fresh water on the statue and the Oracle will give the potion to Ben. Return to the boat. BOAT ---- Talk to the doorway and the fisherman will appear. Talk to the fisherman and chart a course to the lair of the Sea People. LAIR OF THE SEA PEOPLE ---------------------- Use the potion on Ben to dive down to the seabed. Get the bright plant. Swim east to the next area. Use the net on the octopus at the left side of the area. Swim south to the cave. Use the octopus on the rock with the circle. Swim through the opening and get a rock from the pile of rocks. Swim west to find the city. Swim into the temple. Combine the glowing weed with the rock, then use the glowing rock on the skeleton on the throne: One of the Sea People tells Ben that a monster has been taking people from the surface, and the Sea People were not to blame. Get the trident to return to Agia Anna. AGIA ANNA --------- After the monster appears, ask Alice to distract the monster: The monster will walk over to her. Quickly use the trident on the monster to complete the game. =============================================================================== 3. Item List =============================================================================== BROKEN SNOUT Made by combining the sawfish snout with the metal bar. It is not used. CAMERA Found by telling the tourist to move into the restricted zone while taking his picture at the airport. It is given to the woman in the airport. CHAIN Found on the boat. It is used on the device on Oracle Island. The chain is then used on the boulder. COG Found by using the rubble in the labyrinth on the Island of the Minotaur. It is used on the mechanism in the labyrinth. CUP Found on the table in the fisherman's house after the ouzo has been given to the fisherman. It is used on the sea while on the boat to get salt water. CUT BAR Made by combining the sawfish snout with the metal bar. It is used on the device on Oracle Island. DOUGH Found by talking to the woman in the pizza shop about pizza. It is used in the inventory to make the dough pieces. DOUGH PIECES Found by using the dough in the inventory. They are used on Ben on Siren Island. FLOWER Found near the boulder on Oracle Island. It is not used. FLOWER Found on the bush outside the opening on the Island the Minotaur. It is not used. FLOWER Found outside the campsite on Agia Anna. It is shown to the flower seller in the bar at Agia Anna to identify the flower as an iris. FRESH WATER After getting the note, the fresh water is found by using the salt water on the still on the boat. It is used on the statue on Oracle Island to summon the Oracle. GLOWING ROCK Made by combining the glowing weed with the rock. It is used on the skeleton in the temple at the lair of the Sea People. GLOWING WEED Found underwater at the lair of the Sea People. It is combined with the rock to make the glowing rock. HOOK Found on the boat. After the chain has been used on the device on Oracle Island, the hook is used on the chain. HORN Found in the labyrinth on the Island of the Minotaur. It is used on the stone plate and the opening in the labyrinth. IRIS Found by showing the flower from Agia Anna to the flower seller in the bar. It is given to the Oracle. KEY Found by getting the glint from the fresco in the cave on the Island of the Minotaur. It is used on the labyrinth doors on the Island of the Minotaur. MAP Found by using the notepad on the mosaic in the labyrinth on the Island of the Minotaur. It is shown to the fisherman on the boat. MESH After Ben has talked to Quincy in the pizza shop, the mesh is found outside the fisherman's house. It is combined with the stick to make the net. METAL BAR Found on the beach near the fisherman's house. It is used on the saw trophy above the door on the boat to get the sawfish snout. The sawfish snout is combined with the metal bar to get the cut bar and the broken snout. MIRROR Found by entering the bathroom in the bungalow. It is used on the nail on the wall in the bar. NET Made by combining the mesh with the stick. It is used on the pond on Siren Island to get the siren scale. It is used on the octopus while underwater at the lair of the Sea People. NOTE Found by using the notepad on the inscription below the statue in the cave on Oracle Island. It is shown to the fisherman on the boat. NOTEPAD Available at the start of the game. It is used on the inscription below the statue in the cave on Oracle Island. It is used on the mosaic in the labyrinth on the Island of the Minotaur to get the map. OCTOPUS Found by using the net on the octopus while underwater at the lair of the Sea People. It is used on the rock with the circle in the underwater cave. OUZO Found by winning the drinking contest in the bar. It is given to the fisherman. POTION The day after the Oracle has been given the iris and the siren scale, the potion is found by talking to the Oracle. It is used on Ben while on the boat at the lair of the Sea People. ROCK Found in the underwater cave at the lair of the Sea People. It is combined with the glowing weed to make the glowing rock. SALT WATER Found by using the cup on the sea while on the boat. After getting the note, the salt water is used on the still on the boat to get fresh water. SAWFISH SNOUT Found by using the metal bar on the saw trophy above the door on the boat. It is combined with the metal bar to get the cut bar and the broken snout. SIREN SCALE Found by using the net on the pond on Siren Island. It is given to the Oracle. STICK Found on the grass at the side of the path on Siren Island. It is combined with the mesh to make the net. It is given to the Oracle. SUNTAN LOTION Found in the dresser in the bungalow. It is used on the opening on the Island of the Minotaur. TRIDENT Found in the temple at the lair of the sea people after the glowing rock has been used on the skeleton.
