You can find the game on http://go.gameflier.com.my Right now it's in Open Beta, and doesn't have all of the features from other versions of this game, but it is still very entertaining. =========================================================================== ---------------------->Magician Introduction<----------------------- =========================================================================== Why should you choose to play a Magician? Well, it's quiet simple. Mages are fun to play, have awesome variety of skills, and are one of the best pvp classes,if you know how to use them. I can pretty much own anyone that is the same level as me. After you reach level 10, go to Klang Valley 3 and talk to the Magician Job Instructor.(There's a portal in North Sentosa that leads straight to him). The instructor will ask you to do two quests for him. The first is to gather 20 Batu Tigu ropes and 10 scorpion tails for him. Both can be found in Sungai Wang(The rocks drop the ropes, and the purple scorpions drop the tails). After you bring him the material he will ask you to help Mrs. Klang, who can be found in East Sentosa. She will ask you to gather 10 Gua-eh Chiu's bones. Go to the first map of South Sentosa Plains(The red circle with the hands sticking out, drops the bones). After you complete her quest, go back to the instructor and he will make you a Mage. There are two types of weapons Mages use, Fans and Staffs. Fans give more Magic Attack and have fire arrow, and Staffs give more Physical Damage and have ice arrow. It's better to go with Fans, but some people prefer freeze over damage. Keep in mind this faq is written from my personal experiences with being a Magician. =========================================================================== ---------------------->Stats<----------------------- =========================================================================== Stats for a Magicians are pretty simple. Lvl 1-9: All strength. After you become a Magician, stats reset so it's better to go all strength so that you can level faster. Lvl 10-19: All Int. Put all of your points that you got back from the reset and all other points until level 20, into intelligence. Lvl 20-33: 3 int 1 vit. Now you need to start putting 1 point in Vit so that you won't die as fast. Lvl 34+: Now alternate between all int and 3 int 1 vit. That way you will have your vit, half your level. So at lvl 34, you will have 17 vit, and at 36 you will have 18 vit. This build will make you stronger than any Toaist that chose the all int, or the vit=level builds. =========================================================================== ---------------------->Skills<----------------------- =========================================================================== To learn Mage Skills you have to go to the job instructor and do quests for each skill at the appropreate level. Remember it's always good to get ALL of your skills, but only add points to the ones in this guide. Name: Run Type: Both Lvl: 1 Series: Active Explanation: Move quickly. Name: High Jump. It might be a bit tough on the pots, but you'll get a lot of nice drops, and great exp. That's all I got for now, so I'll update when get more information. =========================================================================== ---------------------->Fighting Techniques<----------------------- =========================================================================== There is a simple method of fighting for mages. I'll give you the methods I use in fighting one enemy, mobs, and PvP. These techniques are for lvl 27 and lower. Single Enemy:Cast palm force, then fire arrow, then frozen land, and repeat. It's an easy and effective way of killing single based enemies, and you won't have to move much. Mobs: It gets a little tough here, but you can still pull through with a little backwards moving, and some jumping you should be able to take care of most mobs your level, or even higher. You use the same cast routine of Palm, Arrow, Frozen, but after every Frozen You'll have to move back a few spaces. Sometimes you may want to add in a knockback depending on what you're fighting. PvP: This is pretty much like a harder combination of the two previous methods. You'll have to run a lot in every direction, and jump trying to avoid attacks. If you're fighting a glove sin move back to dodge his star then rush forward and hit him with a Frozen Land and then do the same and hit him with a fire arrow. Also don't forget to use pots if your health or sp starts running low. =========================================================================== ---------------------->Upgrading<----------------------- =========================================================================== Allright now onto upgrading equipment. You shouldn't worry about it until you reach level 20. Level 20: Fuse all of your rings, necklaces, and mirrors with your level 20 weapon, and save the lower stuff for your lvl 30 weapon. If you want you can use your boxes on your lvl 20 armor, but I suggest saving them so that you can transfer the souls from them later. Level 30: Start using all of Mirrors, Beads, and anything else you are willing to risk on your lvl 30 weapon. It shouldn't be hard for you to buy these weapons from people for a much cheaper price than the store. Keep trying until you get the weapon to 21+. If you are poor and have terrible luck, then when you get your lvl 30 weapon use a bead on it, and hope it works. If it does, use necklaces from now on. If it doesn't, sell the weapon and buy another. I failed so many sealed items that I just decided to do the bead/necklace method. It worked for me. =========================================================================== ---------------------->Special Thanks<----------------------- =========================================================================== I would like to thank Gameflier for translating the game content for us to enjoy.
