But his first big job in Vice City goes bad, leaving him penniless and out to get back his money and get revenge. As a stranger in a strange land, you have to prove yourself, make connections, and get your hands dirty in Vice City. The newest Grand Theft Auto is a huge game in every sense of the word. A huge living city lies before you, boasting an amazing degree of freedom and a wealth of diverse gameplay options. III. Getting Started A. BEFORE YOU BEGIN The eastern half of Vice City spreads out before you, from the scenic Ocean Beach to the swanky Vice Point. But before you begin, there are a few things you should know. • Keep multiple save files. If you really enjoy a mission, save on a different slot when you complete it, and keep your last save for future enjoyment. There are also other reasons you may want to keep multiple save files, which will be addressed in the following points. • Never save or reset with a cheat activated. The only way to disable a cheat is to load a previously saved game. If you get stuck with pink aggressive cars and a riot where the pedestrians are all out for your blood, you may have problems furthering your career. • When you're able to buy properties, do not save your game at the Cherry Popper Ice Cream Factory. There's a reasonable chance that your saved game will be permanently corrupted and will not load. • Play the game the way you want to. Feel free to play the game any way you want to. Anything and everything is completely optional. If you simply want to finish the story, complete the core missions and follow the additional instructions to reach the finale. GETTING AROUND IN THE '80s MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION Each vehicle has its own characteristics: speed, acceleration, handling, weight, center of mass, braking ability, and so on. Helicopters and planes also have unique characteristics. As you spend more time in the game, you'll learn which vehicles you enjoy driving most, which are the most durable, and how to match the right vehicle to the right mission. And remember, let other drivers know what you think of them by pressing L3 (the left analog stick) to sound your horn. Hit select to change the view in any vehicle. Wherever you are, remember that you can check a detailed map simply by pausing the game. You'll see roads, important places, and the exact locations of any destinations or targets. It's a great feature that wasn't in the last Grand Theft Auto, so use it well. B. The Cops One Star--In general, a one-star level is nothing to worry about. Police in the immediate area will give chase to you, but you won't be fired on. If you're beaten down and subdued or pulled out of your car, you'll be busted. Simply run or drive around for a while, avoiding contact with the police, and your wanted level will dissipate in no time. Two Stars--At this point you've either killed an officer or several people, or you've triggered a mission-specific condition. The police will dispatch squad cars to chase you, and more will join in the chase if you encounter them. Police behavior is a bit more aggressive, both in driving and on foot. Escape is still relatively easy. Changing clothes, grabbing a police bribe icon to bring your wanted level back to one, or using a nearby Pay 'n' Spray are simple and viable options. Three Stars--Things are starting to heat up. You'll get a strong reaction from the boys in brown, and undercover cops in the fast and agile Cheetah will join the chase. Police may set up roadblocks, and you can definitely expect them to shoot first and ask questions later. A helicopter may also join the chase. Changing clothes can still help, but hitting a bribe before you do so would be much more effective. The Pay 'n' Spray is a good option, and it shouldn't be too hard to reach. Check your map for the closest location. Four Stars--When the wanted level hits four stars, you know you're officially in trouble. Swarms of patrol cars will pursue you doggedly, joined by the undercover cops and the SWAT team. Expect a hail of gunfire from the air and ground as helicopters and heavily armed law enforcement officers do their best to bring you down. Anything less than the Pay 'n' Spray simply won't be enough. Don't take chances here. Five Star--The intensity you saw on level four increases with the presence of the FBI, who pack MP5s that can take you down in no time. You won't be able to round a corner without running into a law enforcement vehicle, and it will be a real fight to make it to the Pay 'n' Spray. Six Stars--You're the baddest man this city has ever seen, in a bad way. In addition to everything that was thrown at you on the five-star level, military vehicles like the Rhino tank and the massive Barracks OL's will come at you hard. Hijack one of these vehicles if you can, but even still you'll be hard pressed to clear your name. Luckily the Pay 'n' Spray can and will work miracles. C. Getting Around ON FOOT When you begin the game, Tommy is a bit out of shape. You'll be able to sprint only short distances before needing to take a breather. However, if you can stick to a rigorous exercise program, your endurance will improve and you'll be running for blocks before fatigue kicks in. Remember to tap X instead of holding it down. Jump by hitting the square button, and look behind you by pressing down R3 (the right analog stick). Use the circle button to attack with your equipped weapon. CARS Get One To get into a car, simply press the triangle button. If there's nobody inside, you'll slip right in. If there's someone behind the door, you'll toss him out. Very few vehicles in the game will be locked--manned police cars being the most notable exception. You can only jack a vehicle that is stopped or moving slowly, making stoplights a great place to snag a set of wheels. Blocking a car's path with your body or another vehicle will usually stop traffic as well. Violence is another alternative. Bashing on a van with a melee weapon or putting a few bullets into a sedan will often cause drivers to vacate their vehicles, although they may instead opt to speed away. Killing the driver is a surefire option as well, but you should realize that any of these methods can attract police attention if an officer is in the area. Drive One Automobiles are the standard mode of transportation and the way you'll do most of your getting around. There are amazing vehicles out there, but there are also some real lemons. The most important thing to consider is which vehicles you're comfortable driving. A Phoenix may be fast, but if you can't control the vehicle at high speeds, then it's much less useful to you. You immediately have access to the best cars; it's simply a matter of locating and stealing them. The following are a few things to consider. • Drive aggressively but not recklessly. This only applies during missions, since you're free to obey traffic laws or to slam into everything in sight when you've got no reason to get somewhere fast. Reckless driving can ruin your chances of completing a mission or winning a race. If you pull far ahead in a race, drive carefully. One mistake is all it takes to blow your lead. Likewise, you may never take the lead in the first place if you slam into a wall on the first turn. • Make an effort to familiarize yourself with different vehicles. If you do so, not only will you learn which vehicles are best suited to different tasks, but you'll also have less of a problem finding specific cars when and if you purchase Sunshine Autos. • Hit the two-wheel motion. If you hit a ramp with one side of your car or pull a sharp turn on a hill, you can set your car on two wheels. You'll get a bonus and a record of stunt if you can maintain this for two seconds or more, though there's no real practical usage. Techniques Bail--Hit the triangle button when you're traveling at a decent speed, and you'll bail out of the car, sustaining a small amount of damage. The car will continue flying ahead until it hits something. If you're pushing 80mph in a flaming car, this will be your best option. Powerslide--To perform this technique, approach a turn at high speed, then slam on the R1 button until the car skids, and then let up and floor the gas. You can make drastic changes in direction this way, although it's hard to control. Drive-by--L2 will let you look to your left, and R2 will let you look to the right. You can fire from your window with a submachine gun while pressing either of these buttons. MOTORCYCLES Get One Taking a motorcycle is slightly different in that the method depends on your relation to the bike. If you're directly in front of a bike and press triangle, you'll leap onto the bike knocking off anyone who was previously using the machine. If you're anywhere else, you'll need to perform a quick elbow that will send the driver flying. Press triangle again to mount the bike. Just be wary that it's easy for police to do the same to you, and you'll be busted with a swift elbow. Drive One Bikes have a few distinct advantages over cars, but they also carry a few substantial handicaps. With a good bike, you can weave in and out of traffic with deft skill, zips down alleys that cars simply can't fit into, and even perform wheelies and stoppies. The downside is that if you hit something while on a bike, you'll go flying. Depending on the severity of your crash, you'll lose armor and health. Here are a few pointers on bikes: • Not all bikes are created equal. There simply isn't as much variety in bikes as there is in cars. The PCJ600 is definitely the cream of the crop. It's fast, agile, and stylish. The Sanchez is fairly agile, hard to wreck, and good on dirt or sand. The Faggio and Pizza Boy are scooters with medium stats, but they're unable to perform tricks. Lastly, the Freeway and Angel are clunky bikes with a high top speed but unresponsive handling. • Remember to use alleys and ramps. Bikes have a distinct advantage in being able to fit through narrow passages and cut through alleys. This can give you an edge over the police if you don't slam into something inadvertently. Techniques Shifting your weight--Pushing up lightly on the analog stick will make you hug the bike and will increase your speed, and pulling back will slow you down and decrease your speed. Other tricks are possible through shifting your weight. Wheelie--Pull back slightly on the left analog stick and accelerate. When your wheel is off the ground, pump the gas to sustain the wheelie. Keep it up long enough and you'll get a cash bonus and a record of your stunt. Wheelies can also be used to launch your bike over walls Stoppie--The opposite of a wheelie, shifting your weight forward to bring your back wheel off the ground performs a stoppie. Simply press your brake (square) and your emergency brake (R1) at the same time while holding up on the left analog stick. You'll slide forward and can change the direction you're facing. On a fast bike like the PCJ, you can reverse your direction and open fire on your pursuers with a submachine gun. Drive-by--This works just like it does in a car, except that you can also fire ahead of you. Simply press circle to spray lead straight-ahead. You can check behind you by pressing the L2 and R2 buttons simultaneously. Rev up--This trick will allow you to get slightly quicker starts from a standstill. Hit forward and reverse simultaneously, then let go of reverse. You'll switch gears earlier than normal and thus pick up speed a bit faster. BOATS Get One Boats play a considerable role in Vice City, and at some point you'll find that you need to take one. You'll find them parked at docks, and though you won't usually want to steal another when you're out on open water, it is possible. Jumping from one boat to another will often cause the panicked pilot to plunge himself into the water out of fear, or you can simply target the pilot with a weapon to take him out. Pilot One Sea vessels are simple to operate but difficult to operate with precision. Boats with engines have forward and reverse, while those with sails can only move forward. Unless you're pleasure boating, you'll want a nice speedboat. You'll likely need to spend some time on the sea before you get the hang of things. Here are a few tips for boating: • Go easy on the controls. Because all the power comes from the back of the boat, steering is very sensitive. If you're rough with the controls you'll head straight into a spin instead of a turn. Slow and slight adjustments are the key here. • Stand up and look around. Boats are unique in that when you hit triangle to exit, you'll be standing on the deck of the boat. You can snipe targets on land or sea in this manner or make use of your rocket launcher. Just make sure you don't hit your own craft. Techniques Drive-by--Like in a car, you can fire a submachine gun to the left or right while holding the L2 or R2 button. You can check behind you by pressing the L2 and R2 buttons simultaneously. Helicopters Get One Helicopters are the dominant mode of air transportation, and they can normally be found on top of certain buildings. You won't have access to a plane until much later in the game, after completing the Film Studio missions. There's no way to steal another vehicle in midair, so you'll just have to keep looking on the ground. Pilot a Helicopter While in a helicopter use the X button to ascend and the square button to descend. The left analog stick controls your tilt, and turning the body relative to the blades is accomplished with the L2 and R2 buttons or the right analog stick. Techniques Drive-by--When in first-person view you can use the L2 and R2 buttons together to look straight down. You can fire a submachine gun out of a helicopter with no mounted guns, but only in cinematic view. Its effectiveness is minimal. The Sea Sparrow can fire a machine gun when you press circle. The Hunter fires missiles when you press circle and fires guns when you press R1. Planes Pilot a Plane The Skimmer is the only flyable plane in the game. It must take off from the water, since it has floats for landing gear. Gain speed by climbing and diving alternately, making sure not to touch down in the water again. You'll lose airspeed during turns, so be careful. Overall this vehicle is much less precise than a helicopter. Techniques Drive-by--If you must, you can fire a submachine gun out of your plane window. The application is severely limited though. D. Surviving in Vice City If driving and piloting vehicles is at the heart of the game, the second major component of Vice City would be maiming and killing. Many missions will require you to eliminate a certain individual or group of individuals and Vice City can be quite a dangerous place. Becoming adept at combat is one of the keys to success in this town. The following points will outline the finer points of the combat system: • Learn to use the targeting system. With most weapons you'll press the R1 button to target the highest threat in any situation. This means that if you're up against an unarmed man and a man with a handgun, pressing R1 will target the man with the gun. Hitting the L2 and R2 buttons will target the next available opponent in the respective direction. Releasing the R1 button after dropping a target and pressing it again will target individuals in order of threat. Both methods are useful. Also note that your accuracy is conveyed by the size of the targeting circle. The smaller the better. • Learn to use manual aim. Certain weapons like the Ruger or PSG-1 sniper rifle are aimed from a first-person perspective when the R1 button is pressed. There are several uses for this function. You can target specific regions of a target's body, cripple a car's speed and handling by shooting out the tires, or even kill the driver of a vehicle while he's still behind the wheel. Drivers of cars, boats, and even helicopters and tanks can be dispatched with one well-placed shot. Use this to your advantage. • Crouch and take cover. Your character will crouch down when the L3 button is pressed. This serves two important functions. First, it makes your character harder to hit and steadies your aim. Second, it allows you to duck behind cover such as a barrel, desk, or wall. This can be crucial to certain missions and is invaluable for first person aiming. • Use elevation to your advantage and put a roof over your head. While this applies first and foremost to battling the authorities, it's almost always to your advantage to be at a greater height than your enemies. If you're inside a building, your enemies will have to come into a confined area to get a clean shot, and helicopters will be unable to get a bead on you. • Know when to run. After all, everybody runs. In many cases you'll find that your speed can triumph over the poor accuracy of your enemies. If a mission objective requires you to get somewhere fast, you may want to kill the foes right in front of you and run to the safety of a vehicle. That brings us to our next point. • Make use of vehicles. Unless your opponents are packing serious heat, you'll often be able to soak up a lot of gunfire in a vehicle. Running anyone over with the tires will kill them instantly, but simply hitting them won't always yield the same result. Drive-bys are another valuable technique to utilize. ------------------------------------------------------------- IV. FAQ/Walkthrough A. Ken Rosenburg (L) 1.'The Party'-This will be a combination of driving to the hotel and 'The Party'. Hop into the Admiral and drive to the pink blip, or the Ocean View Hotel. This be your safe house for now. Save you're game and walk into the pink marker. Wait for the cinema to end (save if you want) and proceed to Ken Rosenburg (L). Now for the first mission. Get some new clothes form Rafael's. When you walk out from the store, you'll see a guy get off a Freeway. You don't have to take the motorcycle, but if you do, you'll have a tutorial on how to use a bike. Go to pink blip (PB from here on; YB-yellow blip), watch the cinema if you want, then take Mercedes to the Pole Position Strip Club, which you can buy later. If you want your old clothes back, walk up the stairs, go straight, right, the left at the end of the hallway, and pick up the clothes icon. Reward-$100 2. 'Back Alley Brawl'-This is an easy mission. Just drive to "The Malibu" and talk Kent Paul. He will tell you to go see Leo the Chef. Take a car/mo-ped to the YB. Beat up or run over the chef and take his cell phone. Now you can press L1 and receive calls! Lance arrives and gives you a free gun. More chefs will arrive try to kill you with Knives (a melee weapon which you can acquire later). You don't have to kill the chefs. Just run to Lance's sweet ass Infernus and drive to Ammu-Nation. You'll learn about guns and how to buy them. Now drive back to the hotel. Reward-$200 3. 'Jury Fury'-This is really stupid! How reckless can you be to run someone over isn't even in the road? Anyway, take his hammer and go to the southern YB. Swap out your hammer (if you haven't already) and give the guy ONE good hit. When the truck hits him, walk over to his car and smash the hell out of it. Get in a car and go to the other yellow dot. Drive up the ramp, ram his car with yours, get out, and wreck his car with the hammer. Reward-$400 4. 'Riot'-You'll have to get some hillbilly clothes from Rafael's (clothes blip, not pink). You'll have to cross a short bridge to get to this one. When you get close, you'll see a large group of people with their arms in the air. You can either run them over with your car or hit three people. I prefer to run them over! :) (Beware: If you do, drive into a corner so they can't pull you out and start to beat you up) Shoot the cop on the other side of the gate and take his ammo. Shoot the barrel next to the two vans. The other barrel is to far away to reach the van. You'll have to switch to the hammer and smash the van. Yes, I have tried to move the barrel. It just falls into the ground and disappears. Reward: $1,000 (If people are still fighting, kill them and take the things that they drop. B. Avery Carrington (A) 1. 'Four Iron'-Avery pulls up in a limo and tell you to kill someone at a golf course. You'll first have to pick up some new threads from Jocksport (run if you need the exercise). Now go to the Leaf Links Golf Club. Walk through the metal detector and leave your gun behind. :( Turn right and pick up the golf club. Grab the Caddy and ride over to the driving range. Park and RUN up the LEFT RAMP. If you're lucky, you can get him before he gets in a Caddy. If not, grab one and chase him. I got lucky while chasing him and rammed him into the water. If you can't, just keep ramming him. He might even get out and you'll have a high-speed chase. Reward-$500 2. 'Demolition Man'-This mission can be hard if you can't fly the helicopter. Firstly, run to the TOPFUN van. Then pick up a bomb with the heli (see Controls). The first drop-point is just north of the steps. Go back to get another bomb, then go to the top floor. Turn right, right again, and go between two walls to find the drop point. Go back down for a bomb, up two floors, right and between two more walls for the 3rd point. Go back for the last bomb, up one floor, right, drop, and BOOM!! Mission passed. Reward-$1,000 C. Colonel Cortez (C) 1. 'Treacherous Swine'-CHAINSAW!! Cortez gives you a chainsaw to kill Gonzalez with. Put it away for now because you can't sprint with it. When you arrive at Gonzalez' house, which is behind "The Malibu", he'll run away from you. Just sprint and whip out the blade before you get to him. If he runs and you can't catch him, just wait for the cinema to end and kill him there. Now for the hard part. After you kill him, you'll have a two-star wanted level. So steal a car and cruise over to the local Pay 'N' Spray. It usually costs $100, but this time, it's free. Reward-$250 2. 'Mall Shootout'-If you need any guns before this mission (you will), go to Ammu-Nation right next to Cortez. The only things that they are selling are Colt 45 (pistol), Ingram MAC 10 (sub-machine gun), and body armor. When you arrive at the mall, park and walk inside. Get on the right escalator and wait for it to lift you up. You'll see a man at the top. DON'T SHOOT HIM! Walk up to him and...AHHH!!! Snipers on the roof! Run down after him. You can either get the PCJ 600 or walk out into the street and look for a car (do that one). When he dies, grab the chips (I had to move a car). Now you'll have another two-star wanted level. Take them back to the Colonel. Your wanted level will disappear. Reward-$500 3. 'Guardian Angels'- Get the Ruger (awesome gun) from the car garage and wait for Lance to appear. Drive him to the deal. Go to the top of the building and wait for the Haitians (purple). They first come from the direction that Diaz is facing. Another wave comes that way, and another from behind. You don't have to snipe, but it's easier. After you kill them, all jump down and get on the Sanchez (dirtbike). Chase that monkey down and when you get close enough, press Up and Circle to shoot forward and knock him off. (Beware: The Sanchez is terrible at turning, even when you use the handbrake. So remember to slow down before turning) Pick up the money and bring it back to Diaz. Reward-$1,000 D. Ricardo Diaz (D) 1. 'The Chase'-Remember to get body armor before this mission. Park your car in the PB. Get out, walk up the steps, and look into the window. When you turn around, DO NOT SPRINT UP THE STEPS! Save your sprint and walk up. He'll shoot at you and miss. Now sprint after him. Look for the boards connecting the roof-tops together. Jog between the embers, hop down and grab the mo-ped. Follow him onto Prawn Island. Note-To avoid gunshots, stay behind cars or ride on the sidewalk. Reward-$1,000 2. 'Phnom Penh 86'-Lance (Quenton) Vance pilots a helicopter while you have to shoot people from it to get some money. The first set of gunners are on a roof. Aim for the red barrels and then AROUND the people. Lance moves around, so you can never shoot where you want. The next set is in a balcony. Aim for the upper-left corner. Three guys should come out. You should be able to get them all at once. After that is a pool area. Aim for the vehicles and barrels. Next is a roof area. Again, aim for the red barrels. Next is another balcony. You should be able to get 2 or 3 before they even shoot at you. The last three are tough. Just moveyour gun slowly back and forth. You should get them. When Lance drops you off, run inside and get all the people. Walk up the steps and look right. Go through the hole in the wall and kill the guy on the steps. Go onto the roof and collect the money. Reward-$2,000 3. 'The Fastest Boat'-Get over to the boat docks (left to the entrance/exit of Diaz' estate). Take a Securicar (gray/blue van) and drive onto the docks. The bullets don't hurt you because the Securicar is bullet-proof! Turn left into the garage type thing, get out, flip the switch, and run like hell to the right of the boat.Press Triangle and get into the boat. Now it's just an easy cruise over to Diaz. Reward-$4,000 4. 'Supply and Demand'-The first half of this mission is a race. The second half is like the Phnom Penh mission. Once you're in the boat, go straight and turn left. Starfish Island should be on your left. This way is easier because it's not as curvy. Once you arrive at the yacht, you'll have to shoot the boats. The first two come from behind. Aim AROUND them. Once they're gone, people will shoot at you from a dock on the right. Next is a heli. It can't go under the bridge. The last boat is ahead of you. If you can't get him, Lance will run himover. Reward-$10,000 E. Colonel Cortez II 1. 'Sir, Yes Sir!'-This is a very easy mission. Plus, you'll get free body armor andyour health will be restored. Just get in a car, drive over to the tank, and park in front of the tank. When the tank operator gets out, exit your car and get in the tank. The tank blows up any car that it touches. Drive down the road and park in the garage. Reward-$2,000 F. Avery Carrington II 1. 'Two Bit Hit'-Get yourself some Cuban clothes and a durable car(like a Hermes). When the guy gets in his car, chase it. Don't stay right behind it because the caskets it drops will make your car catch on fire. Instead, ram it from the side and do drive-by's. Reward-$2,500 G. Kent Paul 1. 'Death Row'-You have to save Lance at City Scrap. This is the fastest way there. Go north from "The Malibu". Turn at the STRAIGHT left turn. The Leaf Links Golf Club should be on your right. Continue to the end of the bridge. Go around the loop and go up, left, and right. When you get to the end of the road, floor it! Hit the car in the back, then drive right. You should see a garage type thing. By now, your car should be on fire. Get out and go behind the garage for protection. Get out your sub-machine gun and slowly walk out, killing all the people that you can. Turn right and shoot those two people. Walk inside the garage and shoot that guy. Collect the money/ammo and jog over to Lance. Kill any remaining people and get into the Trashmaster (garbage truck). If it isn't there, you'll have to start over because you need it! Leave the scrap yard and just drive to the hospital, like the cars aren't even there. Reward-None H. Colonel Cortez III 1. 'All Hands On Deck'-Cortez is leaving and you have to defend him from the French. The first set of gunmen arrive behind you as soon as you leave the dock. Just shoot them and continue. You'll arrive at an underpass which is blocked by a blockade of boats. Kill the people around your boat and watch out for helicopters. When you get hurt, get the free health and Ruger ammo. After you have decimated all the enemies, aim for the sailboat and blow it up. Reward-$5,000 I. Ricardo Diaz II 1. 'Rub Out'-This is your chance to finally kill Diaz for what he did to Lance. First off, meet Lance outside Diaz' estate. He'll give a kick ass gun. Go through the bushes and kill the first two guys you see. Walk up the stairs on the right. Kill all the people that you see. When the building ends and turns a corner, go down the steps. Turn right and you should see an indoor pool. Walk on the right side and then turn right. Walk up the long staircase, shooting the gunners, until the triangle turns into a square. Exit the staircase. You should continue along into a large room. Shoot the people. Follow Diaz into his 'office'. Get out your fastest shooting gun. Walk in and shoot Diaz until he dies. Watch the last cinema cuz it's cool. Reward-$50,000 and..... Diaz' estate! J. Vercetti Estate (V) 1. 'Shakedown'-The hardest part of this mission is escaping the cops. The first place you'll want to take out is the whole lower level of the North Point Mall. Use your melee weapon to shatter all the window panes. Remember that every time that you get a two-star wanted level, go to Gash's and change your clothes. Break the windows while you're there. Reward-$2,000 2. 'Bar Brawl'-Get in the Sentinel or Infernus and drive over to the Front Page Bar. Run over(it's the easiest way) the two bodyguards. Walk out and walk into the PB. The bar owner tells you to head north to DBP Security. Take out the gunners and get ready to chase two guys on motorcycles. Jump in your car and pursue them. Run them off their bikes and shoot or run them over. Reward-$4,000 3. 'Cop Land'- In this mission, you have to go to the North Point Mall and blow up the coffee shop. But first you'll need to get some cop uniforms. The easiest way to get a wanted level is to try to jack a cop car. When he gets out, shoot him. You will get a two-star wanted level. Get the car and drive into the garage. When the two cops come in, the door will close and you get their uniforms. Sometimes the police park their cars right where the door closes, so you can either move them or start over. If you can't find a police car or it doesn't stay in the garage with you(which sometimes happens), there's one right beside the garage. Drive to the North Point Mall and park you car with the front facing the road. Walk inside, enter the Tarbrush Cafe, and walk into the PB. You have five seconds to get out of the cafe(almost enough to get out of the mall). Get in your car and do a 180 as soon as you get on the road. Pick up the police bribe. Now you'll only have 4 stars! :) Travel south to the pizza place and look between a bush and a tree for another bribe. Now it should be easy to return to Vercetti Estates. Reward-Vercetti Estates makes $5,000 regularly, $10,000, can buy all properties. K. Haitians (Dead Body) 1. 'Juju Scramble'-(Must finish 'Stunt Boat Challenge' with Cubans before this mission is unlocked) Drive over to the ramp and make your car face east. Walk up and collect the briefcase and RUN to your car. Hurry to the second briefcase at the corner of a road. Now go to the third. Get it and go through an alley with a jump and then a police bribe. Now get back to Auntie Poulet's as fast as you can. Remember to use alleys. Reward-$1,000 2. 'Bombs Away'-Get to the TOPFUN van with the remote control planes. Fly over to the docks and try to take out the boats first. If you don't, they'll cruise away. When you blow them up, one of the Cubans will try to escape in a Cuban Hermes. He is easy to take out. Just get behind him and drop a bomb. Reward-$2,000 3. 'Dirty Lickins'-Go behind the building(get the Adrenaline Pill...it helps) and walk up the stairs. Head over to the PB. Get out the sniper rifle that Auntie Poulet gave you and zoom in about 3/4 of the way. Start to shoot the Cubans from the right and work you're way to the left. Sooner or later, another group of Cubans will come in a van. Shoot them and then another group will arrive. Kill the guys will the Katanas first, and then the others. Reward-$5,000 L. Cubans (Blue Circle) 1. 'Stunt Boat Challenge'-You have to prove that you have big 'cojones' by driving a boat through 26 checkpoints in 3 minutes. This mission could take a few tries depending on your boat driving ability. Just remember to slow down before sharp turns. Reward-$1,000 2. 'Cannon Fodder'-I could do this mission in my sleep. At first I thought it was impossible, but then I learned the secret. Get a car that can hold 4 people and head over to the fight. Get out a gun with a lot of ammo and shoot at the car blocking the way. This should take out about 4 or 5 Haitians. Go forward and kill the remaining Haitians. A sniper will shoot the heads off the Cubans that advance. If you don't have a long range gun, get the one that appears because it is better than the sniper rifle, even though it only has 6 bullets. Walk up the stairs, jump across the buildings, and shoot the sniper. Jump back across the buildings and down the stairs. Shoot the other Haitians. Now this is the part that I thought was impossible. When Rico and the other Cubans advance, get out your shotgun and pop a few Haitians. Get in the van and run over the group that runs toward you. Then head back to the cafe. Reward-$2,000 3. 'Naval Engagement'-Get on the interstate and drive over to Rico. Get out your shotgun/Uzi and blow all the Haitians to hell. Get off the boat and shoot all the gunners. Watch out for the guy on the roof. Collect the briefcases and watch out for the guys that blew up Rico's boat. Head to the right of the house(be careful of the guy with the shotgun. It's powerful) and walk into the road. TRY TO FIND A CAR! I couldn't and had to run all the way back to Umbeurto. Reward-$4,000 4. 'Trojan Voodoo'-Head north and get a Voodoo, a red car with a white stripe on the side. An easy way to get one is to head over to Auntie Poulet's and grab the Voodoo in front of her house. Drive over to where the other two Voodoos are, then follow them into the drug factory. Park in the PB and proceed to enter the compound. Kill the first guy on the right, enter, and kill the remaining Haitians. Walk up the stairs and into the first blip. Go down the stairs turn right and set a bomb at the second blip. Head toward the exit and place a bomb on the last blip. Walk out of the facility. You should have about 20 seconds left, enough time to get clear of the drug factory. Reward-$10,000 M. The Greasy Chopper (must finish 'Love Juice' before you can take missions for the Bikers.) (Spade) 1. 'Alloy Wheel's Of Steel'-Get on one of the Angel's outside of the Greasy Chopper. When you walk out, throw a grenade in the middle. Later, the cops will arrive. Shoot them and there cars. Finally, a chopper will come and shoot you. There is some body armor around the back of The Greasy Chopper. When the Chaosmeter is filled, go to the Skumole Shack and save! Your wanted level will not go down. Reward-$2,000 3. 'Hog Tied'-Some gang has stole Mitch Baker's Angel, and you have to get it back if you want security for Love Fist. Get on another bike cuz you'll need it to get to the back of Ammu-Nation. Go to the PB, which is a set of stairs. Go pretty far and launch of the staircase. You'll get $100 for the unique stunt. Get off your bike and kill the guy running across the rooftop. If you don't he'll pull an alarm and gang members will flood the area. Head down the stairs (or jump down with your bike) and kill all the people. Get the bike from the garage and find another white staircase that leads to the road. As soon as you land, vans will fly at you. Just try not to get your tires blown out and you'll be okay. Reward-$4,000 N. Love Fist (Skull) 1. 'Love Juice'-Get a fast car and drive over to the blip. Make your car face the road. Chase the dealer down and run him over with his car. DO NOT GET OUT OF YOUR CAR! He has a very powerful shotgun. Kill him and take his drugs/money. You'll get a call saying that Love Fist want some 'company'. Go to Hyman Condo (buy it if you haven't already) and get in the helicopter on the roof. Fly over to Mercedes' apartment. Pick her up in the heli. Now you have 1:30 to get Mercedes back to Love Fist before they go an stage. Fly back over to the recording studio. Park in the road if you can't fit it anywhere else. Reward-$1,000 2.'Psycho Killer'-Get in the Love Fist Limo and drive to the PB. Watch the cross dresser shoot the police officer. He'll get in his car and speed away. The Manana/Sentinel has better acceleration than yours, but he can't turn for crap. When you catch up to him, do drive-by's and try to pop his tires. Just don't lose sight of him because he doesn't show up on your radar. Reward-$4,000 3. 'Publicity Tour'- (Must finish Biker missions before this mission is unlocked). It turns out that the killer still isn't dead. He has planted a bomb in the Love Fist Limo and has set it to blow up if you slow down, just like the movie Speed. Get in the limo, turn around, and find a place where there is no traffic. The stadium is a perfect place. I had to drive around it about 2 or 3 times. Reward-$8,000 O. Final Missions (Print Works and Vercetti Estates) 1. 'Cap The Collector'-Mr. Kelly calls and tells you to come to the Print Works immediately. When you get there, you find that he has been beaten up and wants you to get revenge for him. He tells you that Sonny Forelli is in town and has come to tax your businesses! Get in a fast car and head to the first capper. He will try to get to Sunshine Autos, but you should be able to stop him before he gets there. Once he is dead, head north to take out the others. This time, they try to take Cherry Popper's. Kill him and another capper will arrive in the same place. Kill him. Reward-$30,000 2. 'Keep Your Friends Close...'-Lance calls and tells you to head over to the mansion. Once you arrive, Kent Paul tells you that Sonny is arriving and wants $20 mil. Tommy uses the fake money that they print. Once Sonny arrives, Lance turns on you! Ah, it's so sad. Anyway, switch out either your shotgun/Uzi. The best place to defend the money is the top of the staircase right in front of the office. By the way, there is a Colt Python in there. Shoot all the guys that try to steal your money. Sooner or later, Lance arrives. Chase him, pressing R1 to aim at him around every corner. Once you are on the roof, shoot the guys closest to you. Then duck down behind the barrels and shoot the guys on the right. Once they are dead, wait until Lance reloads and pop Lance a few times. You might have to go downstairs to get health/armor. Once he is dead, head back downstairs and in front of the office. Sonny gets out his gun and tries to kill you. Head up the staircase and down a flight. Head out of the doorway, using the big pillar as a shield. Pop out and shoot Sonny until he dies. When you run out of ammo, he will shoot you until you die/run out of ammo, but when you shoot him, he can't shoot! Congratulations! You are in control of Vice City! Reward-$50,000 P. Phil Cassidy (P) 1. 'Gun Runner'-Get in a fast car for this mission. Leave Phil's Place and head north to the YB. Take out him first because they Uzi he has sucks! Bump the trucks until the guns fall out and pick them up. Then head south to the other guy. Bump his truck and then get the guns again. Now destroy all the trucks/people. Reward:$2,000 2. 'Boomshine Saigon'-Phil got his arm blown off in the Boomshine explosion and you have to take him the hospital. Unfortunately, you are drunk and can't see very well. The trick is not to turn to sharp. You should arrive rather quickly, but Phil says that there are too many cops around. So drive him to his friends house. Now you should be able to better. Just remember that when you pass a cop, you will get a wanted level for drunk driving. Reward-$4,000. Congratulations! You have beaten all the main missions! ------------------------------------------------------------- V. Telephone Missions/Property Missions A. Telephone Missions 1. 'Road Kill'-Get a fast car (Banshee, Infernus, Cheetah, etc) before this mission. You have to chase down a pizza guy. Follow the YB around and run in to him. He'll fall off his Pizza Boy (the name of the Mo-Ped). From here, you can either run him over or beat him up. Reward-$500 2. 'Waste The Wife'-We're gonna do a few things before this mission, shut down a business and collect a hidden package, which I will describe later. From the phone (north should be on the right), go straight and turn right. Walk into the Jewelry Store and collect the hidden package. Then pull out a gun and wait until you have enough wanted stars to make you feel uncomfortable. Shoot him, collect the money, then get as fast as you can to the nearest safehouse. Save, load, and come back to the phone. You should get a fast car before this mission. There's not really a strategy for this mission. Just keep ramming her from behind. When her car catches fire, turn around and floor it! (I have tried to block the roads. The cars disappear.) Reward-$2000 3. 'Autocide'-If you don't have a sniper rifle, then go to the blue dot and get it. If you do, just go straight and right. Switch out your rifle and shoot him. When you arrive at the next YB, get in the alley in front of it. Walk up the stairs on the right and shoot him IN THE HEAD. If you try to shoot him anywhere else, he'll zoom away. Next is someone in a truck and someone else with a very powerful shotgun. Get at the intersection left of them. Shoot the guy in the (in the head) and then go over and get the other one. Next go to Washington Beach. Go off-rod just as you get off the bridge. Stand back and shoot him. The final guy is on a PCG 600. Get a fast car and run him down. Reward-$2,000 4. Get his briefcase and walk out of the terminal. Collect your weapons and grab the fastest/most durable car that you can find. Head to the Pay 'N' Spray close to the airport, get your car re-sprayed and go to Ammu-Nation. Reward-$2,000 5. 'Loose Ends'-Walk through the gates and shoot the two guys behind the car.Enter the compound, watching out for snipers. Head downstairs and walk into the PB. You'll give Cam Jones a gun. Head up the stairs and shoot the cop. Go up the other stairs and run outside. Shoot a few cops and hop into your car. Drive as fast as you can to the PB, which is Pay 'N' Spray. Then take Cam back to his house. Reward-$1,000 b. 'The Shootist'-Drive to the Rifle Range in Downtown (its inside an Ammu-nation). When the mission starts, aim for the back target as much as possible, trying not to miss any shots. After that move onto the next section, trying to hit as many targets as you can. If you are good number below 60, the start over because the next section is very hard. Just try to hit targets. Reward-$2,000 c. 'The Driver'-This is by far the most f*cked up mission in the game! I had to try it about 50 times. But I finally found a strategy that worked. TRY NOT TO GET RAN OFF THE ROAD! This is the best one that I could come up with. But once you get near Ken Rosenburg's office, two cop cars come screaming down the road. Hopefully Hilary is in front and his Sabre should get schooled! Now it's just an easy ride back to The Malibu. Reward-$4,000 d. 'The Job'-Get in the Taxi outside and drive to the PB. Exit the Taxi and walk to the other PB. This will make you put on scary costumes. Got Jason? Walk into the bank and head up the stairs to the right of the wall the people are standing against, killing anyone that gets in your way. You may notice some body armor. Save it for later. Head up the next staircase, watching out for guards with extremely powerful MP5s. Walk into the elevator and then into the safe area. Next head back down stairs to find the manager. He is in an office behind a table. Go back up stairs, and the go check on Phil. When you get off the elevator, he will shout at you saying that someone has pulled the alarm. Go downstairs and go to the PB behind the table. When you can walk again, head back up to the balcony. This has a better vantage-point than that gay table! Once all the agents are dead, head back outside. Get in the Taxi that Hilary left and head to the Pay 'N' Spray. Then go to Cam's house. . Reward-$50,000, 'The Malibu' generates $10,000 regularly. 2. He'll tell you to go to the docks and talk to the boatmaster. Get the body armor across the street if you need it. Walk up the ramp. Make sure to have an Uzi that shoots while you run. When you get to the top of the ramp, turn left and walk up the stairs at the end of the boat. The important thing to remember here is KEEP MOVING! When you get the information, get back to the Print Works fast cuz the cops will be on you. Reward-$1,000 b. 'Hit The Courier'-You have to go get the plates from the plate carrier. Drive over to the docks, making the ocean on your left. Do not go the way where people shoot at you. When the courier gets out of the heli, shoot her and take the plates. Now just hop in one of the cars that are in the way and make an easy route bake to the Print Works. Reward-$5,000 3. Interglobal Films (Cost to buy $60,000) a. 'Recruitment Drive'-You have to recruit some 'stars' for your new movie. Drive near the PB and get out your car. Walk into the PB. Candy Suxxx pulls up in a limousine with Alex Shrub in it. Get to the Skimmer at the dock. You should start at the northern most checkpoint When you go through it, a red one will appear. You'll have to fly through it. 'Martha's Mug Shot'-You have to take some blackmail pictures of Candy with Congressman Shrub. Get in the Sparrow (which I like more than the Maverick) and follow Candy's Stretch to the hotel. Park the heli anywhere but the down-slope thing. If you do, the blades will scrape the top of the grass. Head left of the hotel and go through the door. Go up 8 flights of stairs (yes, I counted! I was bored!) And turn right to a balcony. Get out the camera and zoom in. The sad thing is that it can zoom more any of the sniper rifles! Pop three shots of them and get the f*ck out of there! You will have a five-star wanted level. There will be cops on the stairs as you walk down. They have very powerful guns. Shoot them and get in your helicopter. Head back to the Porn Studio as fast as you can. Reward-$4,000 E-mail from Kevin Ochall: Take the sparrow and follow the limo, when you get to the building in front of Shrub's rooftop, you will see a little ledge sticking out from the building. Land on that, the ledge is high enough too take the pics. from and that way you are only a few feet away from the chopper and you don't have to deal with the guys in the stairwell. Then just avoid the police chopper and fly back to the studio. d. 'G-spotlight'-You need to pull a big stunt to promote your adult movie. Get the PCJ 600 and ride over to the PB. Try not to hit anything on your way over cuz you'll need as much vehicle health that you can get. Once you arrive, drive up the stairs and into the elevator. I wonder what that lady is thinking? "What a nice ride!" Once you get out, you can either shoot the guy blocking the way or just ride by him. Get a lot of speed before this jump and try to land as flat as possible. From this jump, go to the next one and so on. Just try not to over-shoot the landings. On some jumps, you'll have to get more speed and on others you won't. After going halfway, a set of stairs will drop, allowing you to get back up if you fall off one of the buildings. Once you arrive at the spotlight, Tommy shines it toward a building and puts in his own cartridge thing. Hmmm...look kinda good, don't they? Reward-$8,000, Interglobal Films generates a regular $7,000 E-mail from jrain401: After you get the checkpoints in the first building you enter, you can use a helicopter to go through the others. This makes the mission go a lot faster. 3. Kaufman Cabs (Cost to buy-$40,000) a. 'VIP'-Get in the cab and head south. Get on the interstate and go over the bridge to Starfish Island. Honk your horn...and nothing happens. Suddenly 6 (yes SIX!) Vice City cabs pull up. They'll try to ram you into the sea. Just drive around the borders, trying not to get to close to the ocean. After 60 seconds, the leader of the cabs, the Zebra Taxi, will appear. This is the coolest looking vehicle I have ever seen! Now you can either try to push over the edge into the ocean or ram it or shoot at him. Reward-$5,000, Kaufman Cabs generates $6,000 E-mail for AlanStory: Avoid the 6 cabs as usual by driving around the outside of the parking lot (only requires very gentle braking) and although the cabs get close behind you on the turns they don't actually hit you. Once the Zebra Taxi appears, wait until the car is starting to ram you and jump out, then simply nick the zebra cab for yourself, quickly drive a little way off so that the driver can't jump back in and steal it back, turn round and run him over. 4. Sunshine Autos a. List One- 5. Cherry Popper's Ice Cream a. 'Distribution'-This is the only mission for the Ice Cream Company. To get people to buy ice cream, turn on the jingle by quickly tapping L3. Stop near a large group of people for best results. I've found the docks on the second island the best place to sell. There are a lot of people around and it's near a Pay 'N' Spray. To complete this mission, you have to sell 50 ice creams in a row. Just watch out for cops! To complete this mission, you have to fly through a series of 20 checkpoints. Beware: This RC Heli is EXTREMELY difficult to pilot. Go forward too far, do a front flip. Pull back too far, and do a back flip. Turn side-ways too far, do a barrel roll. So just try to not get mad (easier said than done) and get all the checkpoints. C. Hidden Packages-There is 100 hidden packages in GTA: Vice City. Some are easy to find others are very difficult. <<>> #1 -Under the Southern Bridge, go in the hospital parking lot and jump on the walkway and you'll find it under the bridge. #2 -Go south from where you got #1, it is on the ledge behind the Ocean View Hospital. #3 -Go south from #2 inside Colonel Cortez's parking lot (across from the yacht) and you can find #3 in one of the corners in the parking lot. #4 -South from Cortez's yacht is a house, go in the backyard (facing the water) and find #4 next to the steps. #5 -On the southeastern part of the island is a lighthouse, go there and you'll find #5 on the steps outside of the lighthouse. #6 -This one is on the rocks near the hut in the south in the water. There is a pink building nearby, and behind that building is a pool, find the 9th hidden package next to the Body Armor. #10 -Look behind one of your hideouts near Ken Rosenberg's place, its on the walkway around the house. #11 -North from #11 is a small bridge, look on the right side of it and you'll find #11 #12 -Go north across the bridge a little bit until you see Bunch of Tools, to the west of that is a compound area. Behind the hotel is a pool, find the 30th package in one of the corners behind the hotel. #31 -A little bit to the north of the Pizza place is a Jewelry Store, the 31st package is hidden behind the counter. #32 -At one point in the game, you were suppose to drop Mercedes off next to the Jewelry store, find the 32nd package on the right side of the house in front of the Exit door. #33 -Remember "The Chase"? Where you were suppose to chase down a guy on the rooftop? this place is across from Mercedes' place, find it on the rooftop where you 1st drop down on, just look behind you when you drop down. #34 -Across from Links View Heights is a little path between the houses, take the 2nd backyard on the left and find the 34th package behind the tree in one of the corners. #35 -To the south of the bridge that connects Vice Point and Prawn Island is a large hotel, behind it has a swimming pool. Use sloped stairs of the northern building behind it to access the correct ramp's rooftop. G. Rampages-Remember before doing a rampage to have the weapon slot that the weapon you use is in. If not, you will lose that weapon! So make sure to read this before you pick up the Rampage!! 1. Kill 30 Gang Members in 2 Minutes with Molotov Cocktails Location - From the Ocean View Hotel, head south. Keep an eye out on the left side for a driveway leading towards the lighthouse. Go down that driveway, and the rampage should be near some bushes. Molotov Cocktail rampages are tricky, because you can easily set yourself on fire. The best thing to do for this rampage is to keep your distance. Throw the molotovs at packs of gangs, and throw it further by holding circle down longer. If the gang members come after you, run away so you have enough distance to throw a molotov at them. If it looks like you threw it too close, quickly hit square and jump away before it explodes. For this rampage, if you get it in location one, try going up the steps on the lighthouse and throwing it from there. It makes it safer for you. 2. Runover and Kill 30 Gang Members in 2 Minutes Location - Head down to Ocean Beach. Right before that bay of water between the main beach and the lighthouse area is the Rampage icon, down by the shore. Get a car before you pick this one up. You don't want to waste any time walking back to the sidewalk area. Drive down, pick up the icon, and quickly drive to the sidewalks by the beginning of the beach. Get some good speed, and run over all of the gang members that appear on the sidewalks. If you are having trouble finding them, try looking backwards and then forwards again. A BF Injection works great for this rampage, because you can also run over the gang members on the beach. You need a lot of speed for it to count as a kill. Just because you run over the guy doesn't mean he is dead, so run over them quickly. Go for the large groups, and don't slow down so they can pull you out of your car. Good luck! 3. Destroy 10 Vehicles in 2 Minutes with the Rocket Launcher Location - On a hut in the water. You'll need either a helicopter or a boat to get to this one. Try a boat first, and if you think it is too hard using a boat, you can use a helicopter to make it easier. These directions are for the boat. First, go down to the docks, where you did the Cortez missions. Go to the second gate, since the first one was locked. Grab any boat, and drive out of the dock area. As soon as you exit the dock area, head south. You should soon see some huts ahead. The rampage is on the only one of the three that isn't completed. It looks like crap, it doesn't have the roofs like the others, and the icon should be pretty obvious. Once you get the Rocket Launcher, you have to destroy 10 vehicles. Since you are all the way out here, the only vehicles you can destroy are boats. They move rather quickly, so always aim a bit in front of the boat before you fire. If no boats are appearing, then try walking around and looking back. If you can't seem to destroy ten boats in the given time, then try the helicopter approach. Fly the helicopter to the hut thing, land it, and quickly pick up the rampage icon and get back in the helicopter. Fly to the mainland, so you can blow up cars. Cars are more frequent then boats, so it makes it much easier. 4. Kill 25 Gang Members in 2 Minutes with the Shotgun Location - On top of the Washington Mall. If you don't know where this is, just kill yourself, and when you start at the hospital, it will be right in front of you. Walk around the outside of the mall until you see the spiral parking lot with neon lining. Walk up the parking lot, all the way to the roof. The rampage is on the other end of the roof, by that blocked off staircase. The tricky thing about the shotgun is that most of the time; it doesn't kill in one shot. So when you target a gang member, once he hits the ground, shoot him a few times until you see your kill count go up. You can shoot the gang members in the mall from the roof, but if that isn't working for you, just jump down into the mall and fight them. If you want one-shot kills, try walking really close to the gang members. Close-range shots usually do kill in one shot, but the longer distance shots take a few hits to kill. This one shouldn't be much of a problem. 5. Kill 10 Gang Members in 2 Minutes with a Katana Location - From the hospital in Washington, head south down the road in front of it. After the first left turn, there should be a bunch of houses, with small sidewalks behind bush-fences. The rampage is in the second set of houses in that area, between two houses and behind a tree. If you look on your radar, there will be a gray L shaped road, apart from the main black ones. It is inside that L area. The Katana is pretty simple to use. Just walk up to a pack of gang members, and rapidly tap circle. He will make random slashes and kicks at them. It takes a few slashes to kill a gang member. The key is to wait for them to fall down, then kick them and stab them while they are on the ground. You should only have to do this to a few groups to get ten kills. 6. Kill 20 Gang Members in 2 Minutes with a Chainsaw Location - This is in the same block as the last rampage. Go around the other side of this area, and you should see a wall with an open gate. It has a sign on it that says "TO LET". Just walk inside the area, and the rampage should be directly on your left. Note - another way to get here is to go to Rafael's. It is across the street from the clothes shop. The chainsaw is easy to kill people with. Just one slash in the right area and they are dead. What I did for this one was just find a pack of gang members, and run into them while holding circle. I get multiple kills doing this. You don't have to continue to hold circle while he lifts up the chainsaw and jabs it into their mangled corpse, which is just for entertainment. 20 kills should be no problem for this one. 7. Kill 25 Gang Members in 2 Minutes with a PSG-1 Location - From the Ocean View Hotel, head south and take the first right. At the end of this road, you should see a parking garage with green vines growing all over it. Go inside the garage and drive up to the roof. There should be a double-ramp in one of the corners. Walk up to the ramp and walk off, landing on a roof below. The rampage icon is at the corner of the roof you are now on. The PSG-1 is semi-automatic. This means that every time you press circle, a shot will be fired, unlike that other cheap rifle. So fire as fast as you want! I just aim at a bunch of gang members in a circle, and then I fire rapidly. If you see a red dot ANYWHERE on the gang member, he is dead once you press circle. Any shots, even foot shots kill. If you can't find any gangsters walking around, just zoom out and zoom in again and you should see some. By the way, don't make the mistake of walking off the roof. 8. Kill 25 Gang Members in 2 Minutes with the M4 Location - From the hospital, head south and take the first right. As you head down that road, you should see two buildings with steps leading up to them on the right side. Head up the stairs of the second building, and the rampage icon is on a wall to your right. To get up on the wall, either park a car there and jump on the car, then to the wall, or get a running start and jump real quick. If you are really bad at getting it, just use a helicopter. The M4 is an assault rifle, so you have to use manual aim to kill people. I just aim at packs of gang members and let it fire until they are all dead. You may find that the recoil with the M4 is a problem. That is when your aim gets moved every time you fire. To solve this, simply crouch down and it lessens the movement of your crosshairs. The best spot for this rampage is on the corner of the ledge where you just found the icon, crouching down and picking off gang members on the street. 9. Kill 25 Gang Members in 2 Minutes with an MP5 Location - Start at Starfish Island, and take the bridge that leads to the large east island. As soon as you get off the bridge, go up the stairs that are on your right. You should be in an area with a pool and some hotels. Drive around to the rectangular building with a moat-like pool surrounding it. On the front steps of the east side is the rampage icon. Just because the MP5 is a submachine gun doesn't mean that you can kill people in a vehicle with it. You have to shoot the gang members on foot for the kill to count. Just walk around the hotel area and groups of gang members should appear. Target one, shoot, target another, shoot, and so on. Once the group is dead, go find another group of gangs. The MP5 has a long range of accuracy, so you can keep your distance while shooting. 10. Kill 30 Gang Members in 2 Minutes with the SPAS-12 Location - From the Ocean View Hotel, head north along that main road until it comes to an end (when it sharply turns west). When it stops heading north, go around back of the big hotel in front of you. There are two rampages back here. The one I am talking about right now is between some bushes and the hotel wall. This is on the side of the hotel that is facing the beach. I call this gun "the overkill gun". It can kill in one shot, yet you are able to fire 8 shots into the body before you have to reload. This racks up the kill count really fast. Just target a group of gang members, fire a few shots, and the whole group should be dead. Remember, this an automatic shotgun. I find the most gang members just hanging out on the beach, in the sand, and some are on the sidewalk right near the beach. You have plenty of time to complete this one. If you don't do this rampage on the first try, it won't reappear. So make sure to do it the first time. 11. Kill 10 Gang Members in 2 Minutes with the PSG-1 Location - This one is located behind the same hotel. Walk further back, and you should see a small fence. Jump over it or walk around it, and you will be in an area with a drained pool, some picnic tables, people walking around, and a glass dome structure. The rampage icon is on top of the diving board by the pool. Just walk up all of the steps to get to the top. Once you have the icon, don't jump off! This is a great vantage point. This is one of the easiest rampages in the game. 10 kills, with a semi- automatic rifle, from a great vantage point. Just aim below, and you should see a few groups of gang members. Rapidly fire at them, and just kill off a few groups. You should be able to get 10 kills during the first minute. As I said before, if you don't see any more gang members, zoom out, look around, and then zoom back in. 12. Drive-by and Waste 35 Gang Members in 2 Minutes with an Uzi Location - From the bridge on Starfish Island, head east until you get off the bridge. Once you get off the bridge, take the first left you see, heading north. Follow that road all the way to the end; don't get off at any turns. You should end up at a cul-de-sac. The rampage will be pretty obvious once you get there, it is right near the water. I find it easiest to use a motorcycle for this one. Keep at a decent rate of speed while shooting, so the gang members can't pull you off the bike. The good thing about the bike is that you can shoot forward while driving. Just drive around the cul-de-sac in circles, while shooting. Remember, it has to be a drive-by for the kill to count. 13. Kill 20 Gang Members in 2 Minutes with a Chainsaw Location - Get to the bridge that leads from the east island to Leaf Links. Before you get on the bridge, you should see an opening in the wall on your right, and there will be some docks by the water. Head down there, and the rampage should be by the docks, somewhat close to the bridge. This is what I said for the other chainsaw rampage - The chainsaw is easy to kill people with. 14. Kill 30 Gang Members in 2 Minutes with a Rocket Launcher Location - This one is in the North Point Mall. If you don't know where the North Point Mall is, look on the map that came with the game. It is pretty obvious. Once inside the mall, get to the second floor. Near Countdown Vinyl, the store with the windows you can break right above the food court, there is a planter area with some trees. The rampage is in there. Always make sure you keep a good distance when firing the rocket launcher. If you fire it too close, you may end up inflicting harm on yourself. My best advice is to climb up on a ledge, and fire rockets down below at gang members. They are in packs, as always, so it should only take a few well-placed rockets to get 30 kills. Watch out for the police, though, they can get in your way right as you go to fire a rocket. 15. Kill 35 Gang Members in 2 Minutes with an M4 Location - Get to the east entrance of the North Point Mall. Right outside of the doors, behind a small wall, is the rampage icon. There may be more than one east entrance, so check both. The M4 is for manual aim, as I said before. To control your aim, crouch down so it won't go out of control when you fire. I find it easiest to walk up to packs of gangs and just open fire at point blank. If the gang members don't show up after you kill a bunch, try walking in the mall to find more. Just walk around a lot and more groups of gangs will appear. I once turned around, and then turned around again and there were 15 gang members just standing there 16. Kill 25 Gang Members in 2 Minutes with a Python Location - Between the North Point Mall and the beach, there is a row of buildings. Look for a short white and orange building with a lot of stairs in the front. Go around back of the building (by the beach) to find the rampage icon. This is my favorite pistol - it can kill in one shot, and it is damn accurate. It fires six shots before you can reload. Walk around the streets near the North Point Mall. When you see a group of gang members, hit R1 to target, then circle to shoot. Keep doing this rapidly, and you can take down six gang members in less than 2 seconds. You have to be quick, and you can fire off a lot of rounds. The python has the longest range of the pistols, so take advantage of that. 17. Drive-by and Waste 30 Gang Members in 2 Minutes with an Uzi Location - On the very north of the first island, even past the north point mall, the rampage is here. It is behind the building that is across from the north side of the parking lot near the North Point Mall. There is a ramp on the right side of the building. Just walk up the ramp, and the rampage is right behind the building. Motorcycles work best for drive-by rampages, because you can shoot forward while driving. The easiest thing to do is drive down sidewalks while shooting forward, killing gang members. Be sure to watch out for anyone getting close, so they don't pull you off the bike. If you are bad at driving motorcycles, just use a fast sports car. But watch out for gang members coming up on the driver-side door to pull you out. They can shoot back, and often pop the tires, making it hard to drive. 30 kills should be easy though. Congratulations, this was the last rampage on the first island! 18. Run over and Kill 35 Gang Members in 2 Minutes Location - This is the only rampage on Starfish Island. If you are heading west on the main road in Starfish Island, the rampage is in the yard of the house on the last right turn before the bridge. It is on the left side of the road you turn onto. You need to jump over the fence to get it, so park a car, jump on the car, and jump over the fence. The rampage is right by the driveway near the house. If there is a car near the rampage, good, get in it, and drive over a ramp lined up against the wall to get out of the closed area. If there isn't a car, jump over the ramp, then steal a car. Drive down the sidewalks at a high speed and run over every pack of gang members you see. Doing this on the main street works well. Remember, you can't shoot them, you must run over them. You have to hit them at a high rate of speed so they die. 19. Destroy 15 Vehicles in 2 Minutes with an RPG Location - It is on a ship near the docks. To get there, start at the bridge leading west from Starfish Island. Once you get off the bridge, turn south and follow the road. Before some buildings split the road up, the boat should be there. It is blue with cargo boxes and has ramps leading up to it. Walk up one of the ramps to get on the boat. It is in that maze of cargo boxes. You shouldn't have much of a problem finding it. The best spot to do this is standing on the ship, looking down at the road. Destroy the passing cars, and try to get a wanted level so some police cars show up that you can destroy. If you can't find enough vehicles in time, try parking a bunch of cars near the boat before you start the rampage. Or, for the cheaters, you could always do the blow up all cars cheat. 20. Kill 35 Gang Members in 2 Minutes with Grenades Location - I am going to use the south bridge that connects the two main islands to tell you how to get to this rampage. This bridge is the one with two booths on each side of the road; it is nonstop from one island to the other. Take that bridge west, and when you get off, turn south. Take the first right turn you see, so you are heading west. On your left up ahead should be a pinkish-orange hotel building. Walk under that hole in the building, and go past the pool. Near the grass beyond the pool is the rampage icon. It is actually to the left of the pool, on the grass if you are just entering the hotel area. If you walk a little further after picking up the rampage, there is a ledge. Don't walk off it, just stay above it and drop grenades below. You should take out plenty of gang members by doing this. Be warned - they can climb over the ledge and start attacking you. Just keep throwing the grenades near groups of gangs you see, and keep your distance. 21. Destroy 12 Vehicles in 2 Minutes with the RPG Location - On top of the Escobar International Airport, the accessible one. You will need a helicopter to get to this one. Once you have it, land on the roof of the airport, and walk around. You should see the rampage on one of the hills towards the edge of the roof. Alternate way - It has been brought to my attention that there is a Unique Jump that will allow you to get to the roof. As you are entering the airport, you should see a blue billboard with a surfer on it. It is three-dimensional. There is a ramp leading up the billboard, so get a car with a decent rate of speed, get some distance, and drive up the ramp. You should land on the roof. Stay on the roof; it is easier to hit cars from up here. There should be a lot of cars driving through the area below you, so fire away. If you have trouble finding cars, get a wanted level to attract police, or park a bunch of vehicles before you start the rampage, so you will have a lot to destroy. If you flew the helicopter here, blow that up! You don't need it for anything else. Another strategy - Jump on the roof so more cars will appear. More cars will show up if you are on the ground then the roof, but you may expose yourself to attack from the police and gang members. 22. Kill 25 Gang Members in 2 Minutes with the SPAS-12 Location - inside Escobar International Airport, behind a wall towards the back. It is on the first floor, between a wall and some windows. If you don't know where Escobar International Airport is, look on the map that came with your game. The only thing difficult about this is that you cannot run with the shotgun in your hands. This is automatic, so just target and let off a few shots, and you should take down anyone in the area of your shots. The easiest thing to do is target, shoot, and then target again quickly. If you can't find any gang members to kill, try walking up the escalators and back down again to make some new gang members appear. 23. Destroy 15 Vehicles in 2 Minutes with the Minigun Location - This is outside of Baxter Air Force Base, behind Escobar International Airport. Just follow those roads that are somewhat underground, and you should end up near the air force base. Before you get near the walls surrounding the base, the rampage is on the grass next to it, near some trees and bushes. The Minigun is very powerful due to its high rate of fire. You can destroy a car in less than a second if you are firing directly at it. Just shoot at passing traffic, get a wanted level to attract police cars, and just destroy any vehicle you see. If it comes to this, use the blow up all cars cheat to gain some kills, if you are the cheating type of person. Alternate way - There is a tank inside the military base if you have unlocked it. You can use that to destroy the vehicles, also. 24. Kill 20 Gang Members in 2 Minutes with a Ruger Location - Take the bridge heading west from Starfish Island. Once off the bridge, turn south down the road. Take the first right turn you see, and follow that road west until it ends. When it ends, there should be a building with a red awning on it, and stairs that lead up to the top. Go up the stairs, and the rampage icon is on the roof of the building. The Ruger is just like the M4, it is an assault rifle, and you can make your aim better by crouching. Just crouch on the roof where you found the rampage, and pick people off on the streets below. They can't reach you from the roof, so try not to fall. If you feel that you aren't getting enough kills, just jump down and start shooting all the gang members below you. They seem to spawn more often when you are walking on the street. 25. Gun Down 20 Gang Members in 2 Minutes with a Sniper Rifle Location - You need a helicopter to get this one. Once you get it, fly to the bridge connecting Starfish Island to the large West Island. Directly across the street from the bridge is the building with the rampage on the roof. Look at the roofs; it should be easy to spot the purple icon. Land the helicopter on the roof and get it. This is the crappy sniper rifle. You have to reload after every shot, unlike the PSG-1. Stay on the roof, and aim at the gang members below you. There are a lot of groups on the sidewalk, but once you kill a few, the rest of the group starts running in fear. If you run out of gang members to kill, zoom out then zoom in again and you should see some more. 26. Kill 10 Gang Members in 2 Minutes with a Katana Location - Just a few buildings away from the last rampage is the next one. If you know where the El Corrupto Banko Grande is, it is right behind that bank, just go down an alley and you should see it near a loading bay. It is in a large open area, so if you still have your helicopter, just fly a bit north and you should see a large open area behind the next few buildings. It is in that area. 27. Kill 25 Gang Members in 2 Minutes with the Shotgun Location - Right in the center of Little Havana is a large area of pink houses. They are in a rectangle, and in the inside of the rectangle of houses are 3 basketball courts. If you have trouble finding it, just look from a helicopter over Little Havana. It is easy to spot. In the basketball courts is the rampage. Most of the time, the shotgun doesn't kill in one shot. You will need to shoot your target a few times to make sure he is dead. You will know when you see your kill counter change. To get one shot kills with the shotgun, just walk up really close to your target and shoot. That should kill him instantly. 28. Kill 30 Gang Members in 2 Minutes with the Tec-9 Location - In Little Haiti, right around the area of the Print Shop, is a long wooden fence. There is also a billboard that says "Life is a Bitch". Behind that fence is a long yard behind those little houses. At the north end of the yard, behind a house, is the rampage icon. The Tec-9 is a really crappy submachine gun. It is inaccurate, and the rate of fire is terrible. Your best bet is getting really close to your target, and then opening fire. It takes a lot of shots to bring someone down with this gun. 29. Kill 35 Gang Members in 2 Minutes with a SPAS-12 Location - Also in Little Haiti, take the road that is west of the Print Works, and take it north. Right as it curves, you should see a billboard that says, "Welcome to hell". Before that billboard, there is an alley that leads out to the ocean, and some docks. Follow that, and behind some buildings at the end of the alley is the rampage icon. The SPAS-12 makes any rampage easy. Simply find a pack of gang members, aim, fire. It should take down the whole pack in one or two shots. Repeat for every pack of gang members you see. 30. Kill 30 Gang Members in 2 Minutes with the M60 Location - Take the west bridge heading from Starfish Island. Once you get off, head north up that road with all the palm trees. Stay on it for a while, until you see a building with a large pool in front, with a sign that says Moist Palms Hotel. Turn in the road by the hotel and head towards the parking lot. Once you get in the parking lot, turn right real quick, and right again, to find the rampage right next to the hotel. The M60 is a very powerful weapon, it kills in one shot, plus it is automatic. How much better can heavy artillery get? Just crouch down, and aim at a pack of gang members. Pick them off one by one. You can mow down whole pack of members in less than 3 seconds with this thing. 31. Drive-by and Waste 35 Gang Members in 2 Minutes with an Uzi Location - Get to the Well Stacked Pizza shop in Downtown. It can be found on your map that came with the game. To the left of the Well Stacked Pizza place is an alley. Follow it, and take a left at the end of the alley. The rampage is right there, out in the open behind some buildings. 32. Kill 25 Gang Members in 2 Minutes with a Python Location - Across from the Ammu-nation in Downtown is a large set of steps leading up the side of a building. This is also a unique jump. On the top of the steps is the rampage icon. I recommend staying up there for a good vantage point when shooting the gang members. This pistol is fast, powerful, and it is accurate. Find a lot of gang members, and then quickly hold R1 and circle, release R1 and quickly hit it again and fire, and keep doing this. You will take down 25 members in no time if you fire this fast. 33. Kill 40 Gang Members in 2 Minutes with Molotov Cocktails Location - Take the bridge heading west from Prawn Island. As soon as you get off the bridge, start looking to your right. When you see a building with stairs leading up to a door, that is the right place. Walk up the stairs, and the rampage icon is right there. 34. Kill 30 Gang Members in 2 Minutes with a Minigun Location - Just a bit further down from that open area where you found the last rampage, the next one is there. It is in front of a doorway where that weird looking sculpture is. Get a vehicle near this one so you don't waste any time walking to where there are people. Drive to where there are people, get out of your car, and spray them down with Minigun bullets. As long as you don't let any gang member get close enough to throw a punch at you, you'll do fine. Just spin around and shoot, that is what I did. 35. Kill 30 Gang Members in 2 Minutes with a Flame-thrower Right next to the Hyman Memorial Stadium are two helipads (to the north of the stadium). Before you get on the helipads, the rampage is located next to the steps leading to the walkway. Keep your distance when shooting flames at the gang members. Go for the large packs of members, and run away if they come running at you while they are on fire. This flame-thrower has much better distance then the one in GTA III. Take advantage of that. Congratulations, you completed all the rampages! H. Hyman Stadium-Go to the second island. From the alley from Hyman Stadium, go straight. Walk up the stairs and go through the doors. On the main road you should see a sing telling which event is on tonight at 20:00. 1. Hot Ring (Race Derby)-You have to complete 12 laps, finishing either 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. Seems easy? Try doing this with about 12 other people trying to kill you! I always go up on the bank at the beginning of the race, then shoot the other racers with your Uzi. A couple good hits with an MP5 should make them go BOOM! My first try I finished fourth, and got first on my second try. Just remember that the races get harder as you enter more races. 2. Blood Ring (Destruction Derby)-This is so friggin' awesome! Since everyone else drives into the center of the ring, just stay around the edge and swoop in near the checkpoint. Remember to shoot people with your Uzi! 3. Dirt Ring (Obstacle Course)-You have to go through a series of checkpoints. The good thing is that you have an infinite amount of time. :) Just go around the track to collect those checkpoints, and then go on the obstacle course to collect the rest. The most difficult to collect for me where the ones that are on the thin wall-type thing. The first time I tried this, it took me 15 minutes! ------------------------------------------------------------- VII. R3 Missions-These aren't really missions, just easy ways to get money. I will tell you what to do and how much money you get until level 12 (if you can go to level 12, that is). That's the level when you get a surprise! Level 1-$50 Level 2-$200 Level 3-$450 Level 4-$800 Level 5- Level 6- Level 7- Level 8- Level 9- Level 10- Level 11- Level 12- Total-$64,000! A. Vigilante (Police Car)-In this vehicle, you take the job as a cop and chase down criminals. To make cars get out of your way, press L3 fast and the siren should come on. Reward-Max armor becomes 150. B. Brown Thunder (Hunter)-You do not have to collect 100 hidden packages to get this, only beat 'Keep Your Friends Close...' To get this, get in the cop uniform at the police station south of the Malibu. Then get in another helicopter and fly to the back of Fort Baxter Air Base. To see it, you have to get pretty close. Get out of your chopper and get in the Hunter. Press R1 to fire the Gatling gun and O to fire missiles. The Gatling aims when you get close enough. Keep this in mind when doing 'Brown Thunder'. C. Fire Fighter? (Fire Truck)-You'll have to hunt down cars that are on fire and put them out. To move the fire hose, use the 'R' analog stick. After some cars are put out, people will get out and run away. Don't ask why they are running when they are fire! Just chase 'em down and spray 'em with water. Reward-Fireproof (Very useful, especially if you use the Flame-thrower or Molotov Cocktails) D. Paramedic (Ambulance)-You take the roll of an Ambulance driver, darting around the city trying to save people and take them to the hospital that you got the Ambulance at. Every bump/car you ram hurts the passenger. You don't get as much time as the other missions, so try to hurry. Be careful not to flip the ambulance and not to run over the injured! I was on mission 12 and had 2 people left to deliver and this faggot just ran right into the damn truck! Reward-Infinite Run (You can run forever, for those of you word-ily challenged) E. Taxi Driver (Kaufman Cab, Cabbie, and Taxi)-Pick up people and drive them to their location. If you don't run in to anything while taking them there, you will receive a speed bonus. The cash you get is determined by how far away the location is. Reward-Dropping off 100 passengers gives the Taxi's hydraulics! F. Pizza Boy (Pizza Boy)-Hop on a Pizza Boy mo-ped and go around town delivering pizzas to different people. To throw a pizza, push L2/R2 and press O (like doing a drive-by). You get $10 for every successful pizza delivered. You have 5 minutes to deliver every pizza and get back to the restaurant. Seems easy, but you have to get to level 10 to get the reward. Reward-Health becomes 150 (Thanks to jrain401) G. Ice Cream Deliveryman (Mr. Whoopee!)-Get in an ice cream truck and turn on the jingle. The 'Distribution' mission should start. The best place to sell 'ice cream' is the Boatyard. Turn on the happy music and stop around a large group of people. Someone should come running up, demanding some coke! I once had about 8 people at once. I think you get $10 an ice cream. ------------------------------------------------------------- VIII. Properties/Weapons/Vehicles A. Weapons Melee Weapons Screwdriver ($10)--You can stab and stab again with the trusty screwdriver. It's more of a harassment tool than a serious weapon. Hammer ($20)--Other than giving you the perverse satisfaction of beating someone in the skull with a hammer, this tool doesn't offer much in the way of offense. It's good for putting dings in cars though. Nightstick (N/A)--Carried around by cops, it's more effective than using your fists and looks great with the cop uniform. Meat Cleaver ($50)--Used by chefs everywhere to chop through flesh and bone, the meat cleaver does solid damage in a close-up fight. Baseball Bat ($80)--Not only is it great for hitting baseballs, but it makes a solid melee weapon. Knife ($90)--This weapon is more refined than a meat cleaver and a bit quicker. It's great for street fights. Machete ($100)--As some may say, this is a knife--only bigger and better. Katana ($300)--The katana is arguably the best melee weapon. You can quickly dispatch and decapitate enemies with it, plus it has a fairly good range. You can also run with it, unlike the chainsaw. Chainsaw ($500)--This is definitely a case of style over substance. The chainsaw is powerful and very bloody when you deliver a final blow to someone on the ground, but it will slow you down when you carry it. Remote Explosive/Incendiary Weapons Grenades ($300)--Point a grenade in the desired direction (using the right analog stick to free-look can be useful), and hold the circle button down to throw--holding it down longer to throw farther. The explosion is very powerful, taking out vehicles with ease. Just make sure you don't get near it. Tear Gas (N/A)--Tear gas immobilizes humans and does no damage to vehicles. You can pick up a few canisters by the Washington Beach police station. You may want to experiment to see if you can squeeze some fun out of this weapon. Molotov Cocktail (N/A)--A Molotov cocktail sets things on fire and is an incredibly destructive weapon that's great for taking out-groups of enemies. Be warned though, if you set yourself on fire, you'll take a lot of unavoidable damage. Remote Grenades ($8000)--These are just like regular grenades, only you control when they explode with the tap of the circle button. Car Bomb ($500)--Have your car rigged with a bomb at 8-Ball's bomb shop by the docks. The bomb will go off when you trigger the detonator using the circle button. Try to think of clever ways to integrate a car bomb into your mission. Pistols Colt .45 ($100)--You can kill a man with a few shots from this weapon, although it's really the most basic of firearms. The Python is infinitely preferable. You can run while firing this weapon. Colt Python ($2000)--The range of this weapon is inferior to some weapons, but you can't beat its knockdown power. One shot, one kill. The python is great for close-range gunfights, though you have to plant your feet when you squeeze off a round. Shotguns Shotgun ($500)--This shotgun has a low spread and high power. You can easily take a man out with one shot up close or from a medium distance, but the low spread makes it weaker for close combat than the other shotguns. As with all shotguns, you must stand still while firing. Stubby ($600)--An extremely wide spread makes the stubby a great close-combat gun, but it's weak at medium range. Spaz ($4000)--This shotgun has a medium spread and a seven-shot rapid-fire magazine. This makes its extreme long-range and close-range deficiencies disappear. You will have to reload the weapon, but its offensive power is still amazing. Submachine Guns Tec-9 (N/A)--Found only on the streets, the Tec-9 is an automatic pistol with a higher rate of fire than the pistol, and you can run while shooting it. Its effectiveness against multiple opponents is questionable. Ingram ($300)--The Ingram Mac-10, as the name implies, is one step up from the Tec-9. This gun is slightly more effective overall. Uzi ($400)--This is a reliable and effective firearm. It boasts an excellent rate of fire and good overall stopping power. MP5 ($3000)--The MP5 is a military-grade weapon that excels in all categories. Without question it's the best submachine gun in any situation. Assault Rifles Ruger ($1000)--The main draw of an assault rifle is the ability to aim it from a first-person perspective, which allows you to shoot out tires and windshields. The other draw is its power. Although your aim will be thrown off quite a bit when you use this gun, you can go for headshots and mow down several men at once. M4 ($5000)--The Colt M4 is like the Ruger, but it's superior in every way. Even with its considerable firepower it can't easily take out a helicopter. But it's still the best gun for the category. Remember that crouching will increase your accuracy with these types of weapons. Heavy Weapons Note: All heavy weapons must be purchased from Phil or found around the city. Minigun ($10,000)--With the highest rate of fire in the game, the Minigun chews up cars, people, or anything in front of it. The only catch is that you can't target a specific individual with the R1 button. The gun fires at a slightly upward angle, so it's best used against enemies that are standing on the same ground you are. Rocket Launcher ($8000)--For many players in many games, the rocket launcher is the ultimate weapon. Even from a great distance you can create a large explosion that destroys people and vehicles with great accuracy. This weapon is aimed from a first-person perspective. M60 ($8000)--The heavy machine-gun is probably the most reliable weapon in this category. It has a high rate of fire and manual aim, and, unlike with the rocket launcher, you can't hurt yourself with it. This gun is great for shooting down helicopters, shooting up land vehicles, or taking out particularly tough people. Flame-thrower (N/A)--Wantonly tossing flame around is fun but risky. If a flaming individual makes contact with you, you'll start to burn as well. Still, because it has a decent range and instantly nullifies threats, the flame-thrower can be a useful weapon. Sniper Rifles Sniper Rifle ($1500)--This is a single-shot rifle with a traditional sight. While it fires only one round at a time, the zoom capability is just as good as that of the PSG-1, and the sight is more reliable at extreme distances. One shot will kill. PSG-1 ($6000)--The PSG-1 is a powerful semiautomatic rifle that can be used to kill people or destroy vehicles from a distance. It holds seven rounds, each capable of taking a man down in one hit. A car can be destroyed with one clip. The minor drawback to this weapon is that at great distances the laser sight indicator is hard or impossible to see. Take this into consideration when choosing between the two. VIX. Legal Stuff/Contact Info/Thanks A. Legal Stuff-This FAQ/Walkthrough is copyrighted (c) to KingLeo (RJ Smith) 2002.
