This one covers the PC game, Mahjongg Master 5. ... What? It's Mahjongg, and I wrote an FAQ for it. You can tell that this has actually more professionalism than the makers of the game. Seriously, just check out the help menus... Enjoy, or try your best. =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~= Section Two: Version History **MMASTER5_2** =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~= Final - First and likely only version of this FAQ completed. 1:29 AM 7/26/20121:29 AM 7/26/2012 =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~= Section Three: Legalities **MMASTER5_3** =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~= This FAQ may not be reproduced under any circumstances except for personal, private use. Once the eGames window is up, click on "GAMES" then opt to play Mahjongg Master 5. Afterwards, a box shall pop up with various settings. Fix them all as you wish, then click the okay button so we can get to the main menu where we'll select a game. Since there is randomization in the massive number of puzzles, I thankfully should only tell you the basics of the varieties in this game. --------- Solitaire --------- The Mahjongg most people are familiar with. Remove tiles by clicking on two identical ones -- except for the Flowers and the Seasons, which you are allowed just use any two Flowers or Seasons. The tiles must be free, however: that is to say, one side must not have a tile (left or right) on it at all, and there cannot be another tile on it. If you opt for the two-player mode, then two humans will exchange the mouse and do this as they clear the puzzle. The one with the lowest time at the end will win. Note that there is a small delay in the timer as you change hands. Some things are disabled in this mode: Pause, Back, Hint, and everything that brings up the Help box. There are two additional online modes. One is DeathMatch, where both players compete on the same board simultaneously, and PointMatch, where both players compete to get points that are based on the pairs removed. ------ Rivers ------ In Rivers, you'll just get a slab of tiles. As before, connect two tiles that are identical. However, there is a twist: if you draw a line between the two tiles, according to the help menu, if you were to go in a direction from the first tile you select, then turn ninety degrees, and be able to arrive at the desired tile, then that is only when it is acceptible. Of course, and I can prove this, you can do this with any two tiles in any two positions, so I do not get it... ------ Memory ------ Not much to say. You'll see a slab of tiles that are face down. You must click on two and have them be matches for them to go away. No Hints or the like are allowed. The positions are set in from the start of the game. Note that a Season must match with its own Season, and the same with Flowers. For example, Winter MUST go with Winter; Winter with Summer, for example, will not work in this game. ------ Clicks ------ This game is akin to the Gravity Tiles of the Hoyle Games series, and is apparently derived from the Japanese "Samegame" name. Basically, you'll have to click on groupings of same-colored tiles to make them disappear, at which point they'll fall down as if gravity affects them. You'll want to remove all of them, or as many as possible. ------ Slider ------ In this game, you'll be able to click on one tile and any empty spot on the board to move it there if all available paths are not blocked if it moved only vertically or horizontally. The goal is to remove all of the tiles by moving them around like that and connecting 5-tile (or more) rows horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. The game will add in three tiles each turn until no moves are possible at all. You can use a "?" tile as a joker for any tile. ------ Kumika ------ Kumika is a word that is derived from the Japanese word "Kumikae", meaning "recombination". In this game, you'll be making three-tile (or more) vertical or horizontal rows by swapping two tiles horizontally or vertically by dragging and dropping them. Once the rows are made, they disappear. You can only make the rows. The tiles will be replaced, and then you continue until no more moves can be made.
