This FAQ will inform you of the realative speeds of each and every land vehicle in San Andreas. I decided to conduct this test to end the continuous speculation on gaming boards about which vehicle was the quickest. I chose a method that would eliminate human error and reaction times as much as possible. When I found the vehicle, I took it to the SF Airport, and lined it up (using first person view) so that the front of the car was in line with the second closest lamp post to the water's edge. I then pressed down X and held it for the entirety of the test. When the vehicle reached the beginning of the runway, I started the stopwatch. I stopped the watch when it reached the end of the runway. I deliberately chose not to use the in-game clock for two(2) reasons: - It does not go up in exact seconds - It does not include fractions of seconds =============================================================================== (7) Vehicles I did not test =============================================================================== I tested all the land vehicles (except bicycles) in SA. So the vehicles I did not test are as follows: - LSPD/LVPD Police Cars - I doubt that they are programmed to perform differently to the SFPD Police Car which I did test. - Planes, Boats and Helicopters - They are not land vehicles. - Bicycles - They do not have engines. =============================================================================== (8) Results =============================================================================== So, after extensive driving up and down the runway, here are the results. Now it is important to consider that, despite my best efforts to eliminate human error and reaction times, the results will not be 100% clear cut. For example, I may have started/stopped the stopwatch a few hundredths of a second too late or early at the end of the test, and as you will see in the results, the middle of the pack is very tight, with several times shared by more than one vehicle. Because of this, you must realize when reading the results that if they were re-tested, they may get slightly different times, and therefore be in slightly different positions. However, don't start thinking that this test is completely inaccurate as I would not have done this FAQ about it.
