Version History (in decreasing order): v1.59b Added NeoSeeker.com to "Where You Can Find This Guide." Submitted to NeoSeeker. v1.59a Implemented QuickFind System. Added 6 more detailed descriptions. v1.51 Added neat little box around top of page. Might add ASCII art later. Added 14 more detailed locations, which is 1 more than the total for last time. It's more, like I promised. Updated Contact Information section in order to repel spam. Resubmitted to GameFAQs. v1.27: Whoo, big update. Well, maybe not. But it took much over an hour to write these 13 more detailed descriptions. I'll try to get more done tomorrow. Added subsection breakers between all subsections in all sections. Just to clarify, the -=-=- breakers seperate sections, while the ----- breakers seperate subsections. v1.07: Added two detailed descriptions to the second bus stop location and one to the third one. v1.03: Rejected from GameFaQs. Small update. Tweaked Special Thanks subsection. Added section dividers. Added two detailed descriptions to the first bus stop location. v1.00: Merged formerly seperated relative and detailed bus stop locations because GameFAQs considered it to be oversaturation. Added the rest of the bus stop locations. Reordered some of the subsections in the Bus Stop Locations section. Added subsection "i" in the Bus Stop Locations section just for the sake of completeness. Added "Other Stuff" subsection in the Other Stuff section. Lots of cool little tricks and stuff. Resubmitted to GameFAQs. v0.53: Rejected from GameFAQs. Added seven more relative bus stop locations. Added "Special Thanks" subsection. Tweaked the Copyright Notice subsection. Tweaked Contact Information section. Filled the entire Other Stuff section with content. v0.31: Setup layout in Notepad. Wrote Table of Contents, Introduction, Legal Stuff, Contact Information, started on the relative bus stop locations, and created "placeholders" for the other sections. Submitted to GameFAQs. v0.01: Began writing known bus stop sign locations on notebook paper. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- II. Introduction: Well...hi. This is my first time submitting a guide. I've attempted to begin guides for other games, such as Metal Gear Solid for PS1, but I never got the gumption to finish them and/or type them up. For some reason, I like stealing a Coach and taking it around acting like a bus driver, stopping at all of the bus stops and picking people up. This guide will attempt to list all of the locations where bus stop signs are...well, located. I hope it's helpful to you guys out there who find fun doing weird things in this game, like me. This guide is written assuming that you know the basics of Vice City, assuming that you know most major landmarks that are not on the pause screen map (hospitals, pizza places, parking garages), assuming that you remember the locations where you started missions with people (Avery Carrington, "Big" Mitch Baker, etc.), and assuming you've beaten the majority of the missions offered in the game. (yes, I know what happens when you assume.) If you haven't, I recommend you do so, because this is basically something to do once you've beaten the game and maybe have gotten 100% completion. If not, I have also now added a detailed bus stop locations guide, so everyone can be included, not just those who have beaten the game. After each location is given, in both the relative and detailed location descriptions, you'll notice the words "facing -direction-". What I mean by facing is the direction you should be going in the Coach when driving on the right-hand side of the road. For example, if you're driving north along some road and there is a bus stop sign on your right, I would consider that sign facing north because you're headed northbound as you approach it driving on the correct side of the road. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- III. Bus Stop Locations Here lies the entire list of relative locations of all bus stop signs in Vice City. By relative, I mean very simple descriptions that experienced players should be able to locate with relative ease. If you're not able to follow these instructions and successfully succeed in finding the bus stop signs, or already know that you won't be able to or that you're not experienced, go ahead and go to the detailed bus stop locations section. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- a. On the straight road out front of the Airport Terminal (with the sloping roof) is the sign, facing west. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- i. Prawn Island/Starfish Island/Leaf Links There are no bus stops on any of these islands. I added this subsection just for the sake of completeness. Well, that's all of them. I will add more detailed descriptions and multiple descriptions/ways of finding the signs. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- IV. Other Stuff a. Coach Locations The Coach, unfortunately, does not have a place where it is parked (didn't they think to include a bus station somewhere in the city?). However, it is usually found parked at a bus stop sign! How convenient! I usually find that if you find a bus stop and there isn't a Coach there, go as far away as you would usually go to make a car disappear, then come back to the same sign and a Coach will usually be there. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- b. Bus Driver Rewards Yes, you get a reward for doing something so pointless! For every passenger which boards your bus, you get a whopping five dollars! You also get the reward of knowing that you've done a good service to the city. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- c. Coach Capacity Limit? I am pretty sure there is a limit to the number of passengers you can pick up (which sucks). I had the "Tommy Groupies" (women follow you) cheat on, and I picked up a bunch of groupies. Then, there were like 5 of them outside my door waiting to get on, and when one of them got on, the others "lost interest" and walked away as if I didn't have the cheat on. I'm going to try it again tonight and try to count how many can fit inside. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- d. Other Stuff When you're in the Coach, if you're moving even the slightest with a wanted level and a policeman tries to bust you, all that will happen is you will lose control of the Coach and it will come to a stop (eventually) and you and the policeman will get off of the Coach just as if you had manually exited. There is no code to spawn a Coach. I wish there was, since there isn't one parked anywhere either. Oh well, no use crying over nonparked Coaches. This thing is great to use as a gas-powered battering ram. Charge down the "freeway" (not the bike, the really long road on the west island) on the west island and when you're at full speed, move over into oncoming traffic and hit a small car (Mananas work best) and watch it fly. Whee! When picking up passengers, having each one open and close the door can get quite annoying. So knock it off! (literally!) When you exit the Coach, all the passengers stay on. If you want to, blow it up with a lot of passengers on it, which will increase your "Pedestrians Killed" stat and your criminal rating. It's also very fun! Go to "8-Balls" (in Vice Port). It's near where a hidden package was and where you went to pick up Mercedes in a Kaufman Cabs mission. Turn your Coach into a bomb and do all sorts of things with it! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- e. How You Can & Can't Use This Guide I'll make this as simple as possible. You can print this guide out for personal use ONLY. You'll probably end up having to because it'll probably be hard to remember all the locations. (I still haven't memorized them all yet, and I probably won't.) You can tell your friends about it or give them [a copy of] it at no charge. This guide may not be distributed for money and you may not place this guide on your webpage without my consent.
