It was released in America on 2/7/06 and released in stores on 2/8/06. This FAQ will guide you through the game and through puzzles. I will not spoil any story from the game, only if it is necessary. I also use Manual mode, so when I explain specific battles, they may be harder or easier for you, depending. For the second half of the game, the Character Quests, I will provide figurative information on the endings for each character. I appreciate your patience for reading this and hope you enjoy my guide. I will also try to update regularly, so that the guide may beome complete over time, and will be considered as a full walkthrough. ---------------------------------------------------- 2) Disclaimer ---------------------------------------------------- I am not in association with any of the companies of the development, production, and distribution of this game. When Shirley is kidnapped or gone, he gets completely frustrated and sometimes takes it out on others. He is very reckless when it comes to decision making, and love as well. Senel is a skilled martial artist fighter. He lets his fighting do the talking, most of the time. Shirley Fennes Age: 15 Gender: Female Height: 5'1" Weight: 90 lbs Occupation: None Weapon: Pen Shirley Fennes is the "sister", of Senel Coolidge. She gets very ill when it comes to Seawater or Seawind. She is very sensitive, and is in love with Senel. With her apparent weakness, she also has a power that exceeds those of many Ferines. Will Raynard Age: 28 Gender: Male Height: 6'2" Weight: 168 lbs Occupation: Sheriff Weapon: Hammer When Senel gets ship-wrecked on The Legacy, the first person he meets is, Will Raynard. Although Will looks old, seems old as well, he is actually very young. In his late-twenties, he is like a parent that looks out for Senel and the others. With his wisdom, he also has recklessness, to his daughter, Harriet. Will uses magic, and is very credible to powerful techniques. Chloe Valens Age: 17 Gender: Female Height: 5'6" Weight: 108 lbs Occupation: Knight Weapon: Sword Chloe Valens is the second person to join Senel's party. She is a Knight and has vowed to defeat those that do anything that goes against Justice. Later in the game, she grows an obvious crush to Senel, and apparent to Norma. Chloe is an excelent fighter, and is very fast. She uses sword-slashing techniques to get the job done. Norma Beatty Age: 16 Gender: Female Height: 5'2" Weight: 95 lbs Occupation: Treasure Hunter Weapon: Straw When you first meet Norma, she brings trouble with her, she is also the third person to join Senel's team. Norma is a treasure hunter, not very carefree, although everyone thinks she is. She is in search of the Everlight, and is very knowledgeable with ruins. She's horrible at disarming traps, always to get Moses involved, somehow. She also loves giving people nicknames, and gives everyone she meets, one, except her master. Norma uses magic and healing, and is very useful for battles. Moses Sandor Age: 17 Gender: Male Height: 6'0" Weight: 146 lbs Occupation: Bandit Chief Weapon: Spear Moses is a bandit, that at the beggining, kidnaps Shirley. Because of this, she feels uneasy around him. Moses is not very smart, and is the center of humor and jokes for Jay. He is very reckless, but cares for his fellow bandits more than anything. He uses a spear, or javelines to fight and is a far-distance fighter. Jay Age: 16 Gender: Male Height: 5'1" Weight: 104 lbs Occupation: Information Dealer Weapon: Dagger Jay is a mysterious boy that is first nicknamed, Jay the Unseen. He is an information dealer, and gives top-notch info on what Senel and the others need to know. He doesn't put all his trust on humans, not as much as he does with the Mofu Mofu Family. The Mofu Mofu Family trusts Senel and the others and want to help him and with that, he joins Senel's group as the fifth person. He uses a dagger to fight, but is very fast. He is useful to close-distance fights. Grune Age: Unknown Gender: Female Height: 5'9" Weight: 117 Occupation: Unknown Weapon: Jar Gune is a mysterious woman who knows nothing of her past. She is found by Moses and the others when they look for a crystal. She is very clueless and at times a sense of humor, for the player, not the characters, that is. At serious times, she thinks they are on a picnic. She also agrees with Norma when no one else does, and is very enthusiastic. ---------------------------------------------------- Battle System If you have ever played any of the past Tales games, you can see right away that the battle system is far different from that of Tales of Symphonia or Tales of Eternia. Tales of Legendia's battle system was not made by the official Namco Tales, but more in hype with the Namco Soul Calibur developers. At first, the battle system may be hard to adapt to, but you will get used to it in 3-6 hours into the game. As the story begins to unfold, the battles get longer, but not harder. The only hard battles come rarely, so you will have enough time to adapt before you get to hard battles. The battle rate is also higher than the old Tales, so you might want to grab some Holy Bottles if the battle rate really gets on your nerves. To be honest, when I started this game, I hated the battle system right away. I decided not to stop playing, since I would probably dump it in the corner. I only got used to this kind of battle system is because I put the Battle Mode on Manual. I find Manual more adaptable for me because I just HAVE to jump. When you're on Semi-Automatic, you have to guard, then press up, which is annoying for someone such as me, so when you go through this guide, you do not HAVE to turn it into Manual, it was just for my particular adaptation to the battle system and now that I have adapted to it, it's probably impossible for me to play on Semi-Automatic. Now onto the Walkthrough! ---------------------------------------------------- 4) Walkthrough ---------------------------------------------------- Chapter One: In Pursuit Fallingwater Items: Apple Gel, Apple Gel, Orange Gel, Orange Gel, Life Bottle, 500 Gald. After the event following the kidnapping, you will be left at a place with many waterfalls. Obviously, it's there for it's name, Fallingwater. When you start off, you do not have Will on your team, because he is only guiding you. When you start, you will see a treasure chest and a save point. Save your game and take the Apple Gel. When you move down, you will see a strange figure. When you examine it, you meet the wonderbaker Mimi. She will teach you how to make Toast(isn't just ironic that they don't know how to make TOAST?), anyway when you're done with that, go on ahead where a scene takes place. Once the scene if finished, go on where you'll find a treasue chest. Take the Orange Gel inside. Go on to the next area, where you'll find another treasure chest with an Apple Gel in it. You'll also find a refresher where you can heal your status. Further ahead, there is a treasure chest with 500 gald in it, as well as another one ahead, where there is a chest with an Orange Gel in it. Then, go down the path, to get a chest that has a Life Bottle in it. Go down the path and you will reach Werites Beacon, also the town where you will be returning frequently, along the game. Werites Beacon Items: Holy Bottle, Apple Gel When you get into town, there should be a scene, then Will leaves you alone. You are free to explore the town for now, with Will gone. You have to meet him at the fountain, which is at the middle of town, but you'll have plenty of time to explore, as long as you don't go in that direction. When Will leaves, you will have a save point and a billboard sign near you. Save, then read the billboard sign. It is a world map. The places in color are the shops you can go to, which are the Weapons/Armor shop, the Items Shop, the Bakery, and the Inn. Go down to see a large house. Read the sign and it will state that is Will's house. Go around to the back to grab a Holy Bottle, which will be useful for Battle Rate. When you're done with that, go right, to see the shops. Right near you will be a Bakery shop where you can buy ingredients and cook things in the bakery. I suggest you not spend your money on that, but go down to find an item shop. Stock up for now, and head to the inn to save. When you're done with that, go back up to find the Weapons/Armor shop, and buy stuff if you want. After you're done with that, you can head up to the fountain. After the scene, you will be thrown into Will's jail cel(he is a sherrif, you know). Soon you will be out, and Will, will finally join your party. After the scene, go upstairs and grab the Apple Gel on the bookshelf. When you've got everything you need, go on out of town and you will unlock the duct which will be VERY useful later on. Country Cottage Items: None There is a building near Werites Beacon, which you can learn about battle and things like Climax, but there is also bed and a save point. So you can train in the World Map for a while, then go there and rest and save. You don't have to, though, it's just a suggestion. Misty Moutains Items: Melange Gel, Melange Gel, Syrup Bottle, Hard Leather, Life Bottle, Life Bottle, 500 Gald. Misty Mountains is easy to find, since it is just North and then East of Werites Beacon. Go on and you'll find a dark blue barrier. It is called a Chaotic Zone. They're small barriers in which you run into battles right away unless you have a Holy Bottle equiped. You will see these Chaotic Zones more often since they always have treasures behind them. Go through it to get a treasure chest that has 500 Gald in it. As you go on, there are two more that conceal a Melange Gel and a Syrup Bottle. If you do not want these treasures, you can just take the long way around, in which they both lead the same path. There is a treasure box there, and in it contains a Hard Leather for Senel. Equip it and go on. Go on and there will be a boss fight. You will encounter Chloe. Boss: Chloe Valens HP: ??? This battle isn't even worth your time. Just keep pressing X, and let Will waste his TP's if he wants because the battle will finish. After the scene, go down for a Life Bottle. Head back up and go left. Then go down to find a Chaotic Zone. Go on to the next screen to find another Melange Gel. Go back and go up to find a save point. Save your game and examine the obvious object to find Mimi. You will learn how to make a Ham Sandwich. Go up to find a treasure chest with a Life Bottle in it. When you are done, go up the bridge to the World Map. Go on ahead to the Bandit's Lair, which you will unlock a duct. Go back to town to stock up if you want, and head to the Bandit's Lair. Bandit's Lair Items: Apple Gel, Melange Gel, Life Bottle, Climax Bottle, Leather Boots, 800 Gald After the scene, you realize you're now a one man team again. Since you've already gotten used to the battle system.. hopefully, you're good on your own for a short period of time. Anyway, grab the chest containing an Apple Gel. You then will see a Chaotic Zone. Behind it has a Melange Gel. Behind that one has 800 Gald in it. Go to the next path, and then you'll see an odd, yet humorous scene. After that, you get Will back(that was fast). Now grab the chest containing a Life Bottle and head up stairs. You'll see a skit, then you will get Chloe. Chloe is REALLY useful, and will probably be one of your main party members throughout the whole game, since she was mine. You will see another scene, after that, head for the Chaotic Zone, behind it will be a pair of Leather Boots. Go right and go through the Chaotic Zone guarding a Climax Bottle. Now go upstairs. After the scene, you will see warp. Although it looks like a duct, it's not. The color is green and you will be seeing this alot more often. Warp through and you will be warped into the Puzzle Booth. Push the blocks so that they make a path for you. Once you are done, you will see a scene. After the scene, a save point will appear. Save and be prepared to face a boss. Boss: Moses HP: 2194 Boss: Giet HP: 2852 Alright, take out the stupid dog first. He can be REALLY annoying, and I mean that. Moses can't attack up close which makes him easy, and since Will uses magic, it'd be best if he targeted Moses, since Moses can take off a lot of HP with his long-distance attacks. Senel and Chloe should be enough to take out Giet, and when you're done with Giet, the rest of the battle should be easy. If your Climax Gauge is full, then use it, because it really helps. After the battle, you will get Moses' Key. When you go back to the room Shirley is in, she is kidnapped(it's gonna happen alot, so don't be supprised) and Csaba will show you the back door, so you can get out of there. Go up north, waaay north to Crystal Forest. Activate the duct, and go back to town to re-stock on stuff and bake some stuff. Crystal Forest Items: Orange Gel, Melange Gel, Melange Gel, Panacea Bottle, Misty Robe, Chainmail, Circlet, Restraint Charm. After the scene, go up where the moster came from, and go through the Chaotic Zones. Grab the Melange Gel and the Restraint Charm in the chest. Keep going up, to the next are. Go left and get the Panacea Bottle in the Treasure Chest along with the Misty Robe. Go up and go past the Chaotic Zone. You'll find a save point, and well, it's almost boss time, so save. Go on to the next area to find the girl you ran into before. A scene will occur, and boss time. Boss: Crystaltula HP: 5055 Items: Poison Wrist I suggest you use Climax Mode, do not save it, because you're really going to need it. This monster has alot of HP's, as well as being able to hold you down, so try to make Will cast magic on him when he binds you. It will take a lot of HP off your party. After the battle, you'll meet Norma. A scene will occur and when it os over, go down and go through the Chaotic Zone for a Melange Gel. Go back up and to the next area, grab the Orange Gel. Go up and you'll find a Chaotic Zone that holds a Chainmail for either Senel or Chloe. The next area, a scene will occur and you will be stuck. But, Norma will help you in exchange for joining, so with a blast, comes an entrance. Norma will join your party. Norma is REALLY useful, probably more than Chloe, for me. Later on, she can heal really well, so she should be in your main party for the rest of the game. Anyway, you now have a full party and your only party for a while: Senel, Chloe, Will, and Norma. With Norma, you also get a Collector's Book, which is really useful, and a title. Go down, and grab the Circlet. Go up and save, and get out of there. Follow the corner in the east to get to the Secret Passage. Secret Passage Items: Apple Gel, Apple Gel, Apple Gel, Apple Gel, Orange Gel, Orange Gel, Orange Gel, Orange Gel, Melange Gel, Life Bottle, Holy Bottle, Shell Bottle, Panacea Bottle, Panacea Bottle, Panacea Bottle, Panacea Bottle, Panacea Bottle, FOE1 Charm, Firebolt, Warhammer, Iron Sallet, Mithril Circlet, Cape, Ringmail. Active the duct, and go back to town and re-stock. When you get here, you should be at least level 6-7, not that it entirely matters. After the scene, go through the door you just opened. Follow the path down and grab the Apple Gel. Go through the Chaotic Zone and get the Galdius for Chloe. Near that should be a chest with an Orange Gel and a save point. Save and go to the next area. Boss: ??? HP: ??? This battle doesn't even matter because it ends quickly. After the scene, you are stuck there, so grab the treasues that contain an Orange Gel, a Shell Bottle, a Panacea Bottle, a Life Bottle, and an FOE1 Charm. Go to the next area and you will see a Chaotic Zone. It holds a Melange Gel. Keep going and go through the duct. Puzzle time. You will get the Sorcerer's Ring, and you use it to hit switches and mirrors. Hit the simple switch in the upper right to activate the duct. Go through the warp. After the scene, you meet the Mofumofu, Pippo. Follow him to the Mofumofu's old village, before that though, save and grab the Panacea Bottle, just right. When you follow him, you will meet Quppo, and they'll tell you how to get back. Go heal and save, and grab some treasures. When you're done, examine the obvious statue for a new recipe, Hamburger. When you're done, leave. Go to the Chaotic Zone where you will find a weapon for Senel, the Firebolt, and a weapon for Will, a Warhammer. Go across the bridge to another Chaotic Zone and grab the Mithril Circlet and the Iron Sallet. Go to the path up ahead to get a Panacea Bottle and a Cape. When you're done, cross the bridge right to get an Apple Gel and a Life Bottle. Go back down to get a Panacea Bottle, a Holy Bottle, and an Apple and Orange Gel. Keep going north to have a long scene occur. When the scene if finished, go to the next area. Go up the ramp and right. Go upstairs and grab the Orange Gel and the Life Bottle, across the bridge. Go down for a save point. Save and go on. You'll see a scene, then boss time. Boss: Dino Worm HP: 6549 Items: Climax Bottle This worm can poison you alot, so watch out. Make Will and Norma use their usual attacks, and try out some new techniques for Senel and Chloe. You really don't have to worry about this battle, just don't get poisoned, but hey, what were all those Panacea Bottles for? After the long scene, you leave the party. Go along the path and grab the Panacea Bottle. Go through the Chaotic Zone to find a Ringmail and an Apple Gel. Head on to find a refresher and a save point. Save and Heal go on ahead. After the scene, you will fight in a battle that you can't win. Boss: Melanie HP: 5038 This battle is pointless. Just keep fighting until Melanie knocks you to the ground. Don't waste your items. After the scene, Senel is alone. He meets a girl named Harriet. You are forced to escort her to town. Down the Cliff Items: Apple Gel, Melange Gel Grab the treasures and save. Leave and you'll see a scene, then back onto the world map as well as the end of Chapter 1! ---------------------------------------------------- Chapter Two: Just Out of Reach Werites Beacon Items: None. If you don't know how to get back to town, just keep heading left, around the mountains blocking your path, to get back. When you get back to town, re-stock and head to the left of the town. You will see a very funny scene and then you will be left alone. When you exit the house, you will be accompanied by Norma. This will be your party through-out one entire dungeon, so be prepared. After the scene, head out and follow the path down to Port-On-Rage. Port-On-Rage Items: Shrimp, Scallop, Squid, Cod. When you arrive, grab the obvious treasures and be prepared for a long scene. The Crags Items: Apple Gel, Orange Gel, Lemon Gel, Pineapple Gel, Scallop Gel, Syrup Bottle, Life Bottle, Flare Bottle, Shell Bottle, Climax Bottle, Freeze Charm, Sage. After the scene, head up and you will find a refresher and a save point. Save and head left to the Chaotic Zone. Behind it holds a treasure with a Freeze Charm. Go back and grab the Panacea Bottle. After you're done, head left and you'll see a number of Chaotic Zones. They contain a Lemon Gel, a Shell Bottle, and a Sage plant. Now go on left and you'll see a scene. After the short scene, you will find another Chaotic Zone. Grab the Pineapple Gel and the Syrup Bottle. Go down and grab the Orange and Apple Gels. Keep going to find another refresher and save point. Save and heal, and head to the Chaotic Zone to get a Flare Bottle and an odd gel, the Scallop Gel. Go up and head left. When you leave, go down and grab the Life Bottle, then head left and grab the Lemon Gel. When you're done, go up and be prepared to fight a boss. Boss: Dino Gordon HP: 7181 Items: Miracle Gel This guy is really easy. All he does is shoot from one spot and doesn't budge an inch. Advantage! You can use Demon Fist with Senel if you don't want to close in on him. But, closing in on him will bring him down faster, so basically this is an easy fight. After the fight, head up through the Chaotic Zone for the Climax Bottle. Then head left. Mofumofu Village Items: None Go up and take the boat. Once the long scene reguarding poor Will is finished, head to the very back of the town, to find a save point. Save and go in where you will see another scene. Once the scene is done, go re-stock and then when you're all prepared, head through the back to the Waterways. Just follow the cliff path to the Waterways, as simple as that. When you get there, activate the duct and head back to town, if you want, although there really isn't a point since you already re-stocked. Waterways Items: Apple Gel, Orange Gel, Orange Gel, Orange Gel, Lemon Gel, Pineapple Gel, Pineapple Gel, Melange Gel, Scallop Gel, Panacea Bottle, Life Bottle, Life Bottle, Syrup Bottle, Flare Bottle, Climax Bottle, Climax Bottle, Nightcap, Rabbit Charm, 3000 Gald. Be prepared for a semi-long dungeon. Frustrating, I know, anyway after the LONG scene, head down the stairs for an Apple Gel. Go around to the next area, where you will AGAIN see another scene(this game is all story, I tell 'ya). After the scene, it seems you're stuck with Chloe for a little while. Grab the Orange Gel right near you, and head up the stairs to reunite with your party. Head up and you'll find a refreshed and a save point that you should have spotted earlier. Save and heal and go around. Grab the Life Bottle, and head down the stairs where you'll see another Chaotic Zone. It guards a Climax Bottle. Head down and right, and grab the Syrup Bottle and Lemon Gel in the Chaotic Zone. Go around and at the first right, go through the Chaotic Zone for a Climax Bottle. Go back and head down. Go through the Chaotic Zone for a Pineapple Gel, and then head down. Go through the next Chaotic Zone for about 3000 Gald, then go up. After the scene, head to the duct. Puzzle time!! Hit the switches, near the duct, and hit the mirror so that it hits the next switch. When you're done, go through the warp. After the Shirley moment, go down and grab the Panacea Bottle. Head right and grab the Melange Gel, then go down through the Chaotic Zone to get a Rabbit Charm. It's great for luck, just so you know. Go down the path for an Orange Gel and then go to the next area. After the scene, head down for a Flare Bottle. Head onwards and you'll encounter a scene. After the scene, head to the refresher and save point. Do your thing, then head west and then down. Go around and grab the Nightcap and the Life Bottle. Keep going to get some more chests containing an Orange and Scallop Gel. Go through the Chaotic Zone for a Pineapple Gel, then head up and save. Boss: Fortress Turtle HP: 7209 Items: Lavender Plant Just keep attacking him with your frontline characters, so he doesn't do his ultimate move where he just knocks the life right out of you, and takes off a lot. Use Climax to get the job done faster. Even if you do get hurt, Will has First Aid and you have plenty of items if you bothered to get the treasures. A scene will occur and you will get Moses. Now you have another party member. This is also the end of Chapter 2. Note: To get to the Ruins of Frozen Light, head down and right, and you'll eventually encounter it. ---------------------------------------------------- Chapter Three: A Fateful Encounter Ruins of Frozen Light Items: None Activate the duct, and you will see a scene. It appears you cannot enter just yet. Your next visit is to the Great Hollow. I admit it is a tough one to find and I actually spent an hour looking for it.. but you should get it there with no problem. You might want to walk back to the Waterways, and head the opposite direction from which you exited. Then from there, you can just head left and go around the Lake, until you reach the Great Hollow. Great Hollow Items: Apple Gel, Orange Gel, Melange Gel, Life Bottle, Panacea Bottle, Panacea Bottle, Syrup Bottle, Flare Bottle, Flare Bottle, Rune Bottle, Magic Lens, Heavy Arms, Leather Cape, Camail, Holy Circlet After the scene, examine the switch and head down. Go left and grab the Apple Gel and keep heading left, through the Chaotic Zone. It's a blue treasure chest! Oh boy! You will get a Poison Sword for Chloe. Return and keep heading up, then go left for a Holy Circlet. Head right and grab the Orange Gel, then head up for the Chaotic Zone and you will obtain Heavy Arms for Senel. Go up and grab the Magic Lens to the left, if you need it. You'll see a save point, so save. Then head for the elevator, grabbing the Life Bottle just below, while you're at it. Head down and left for a Panacea Bottle, then go up and grab the Syrup Bottle. Go down, and right and grab the Flare Bottle. Go down a little more for a Rune Bottle. Head left to get an Orange Gel, then head up for a Panacea Bottle. Go around and grab the Melange Gel + Leather Cape. Head to the next area. After the scene, head left for another scene(Jeez..) Grab the Flare Bottle and Camail near the house, then go inside for yet another scene. After this, you will find a refresher and a save point. Heal and Save and equip what you got from the dungeon. Head back to the left, and well, after the funny scene, boss time! Boss: Ground Gaet HP: 22000 Items: Gaet Armor This guy's easy. If you picked up the weapons for Senel and Chloe, all is well. It gets annoying when he does his spin attack, though, so you might want to use guardian. He's got quite a few HPs, but you have a good chance, so all's well. Ruins of Frozen Light Items: Orange Gel, Melange Gel, Miracle Gel, Life Bottle, Flare Bottle, Climax Bottle, Climax Bottle, Elixir, Rosemary Plant, Belbane After the long, funny scene, head out, and go back to Werites Beacon if you wish. Once you're prepared, go in. First things first, go right and grab the Climax Bottle and pass the Chaotic Zones for an Elixir and a Belbane. Go back and keep heading left until you reach a chest with a Life Bottle in it. Head up and head left to find two treasure chests. Take the Orange and Melange Gels and go back. Go through the Chaotic Zone and grab the Miracle Gel, then go right and up. Grab the Flare Bottles and continue forward. Go through the Chaotic Zones and grab the Climax Bottle and Rosemary Plant. Go down and turn on the switch. Then go up and left and you'll see a save point. Save and head up to see the green duct. Puzzle time! Just hit the mirrors with the Sorcerer's Ring. If you are having a hard time with it, raise the camera so you can place yourself at the right position. Once you hit that switch, move the block, blocking you and shoot the switch. Then use the blocks to make a bridge in which you can get the last switch. The duct will activate and leave. You will see another scene, then... Boss: Giganto HP: 25916 Items: Piyohan Man, this guy sure lives up to his name! You won't even get a chance to attack that much, since he does it even more than you do. Have Norma cast Rally, if she knows it, either that, or use a Flare Bottle if you're having trouble. When the warning comes up, block or use guardian, that's my best solution. With that, you won't have too much to handle. After the scene, another meaningless battle... Boss: Vaclav HP: 7622 Items: None Sure, he doesn't have as much HP's as the last boss, but he sure packs his punches. This battle won't last long, so I suggest you don't waste anything. Just stay alive until the battle is over. Forest of No Return Items: Orange Gel, Melange Gel, Life Bottle, Syrup Bottle, Shell Bottle, Aifread's Flag, Leather Bottle, War Javelin This sure is one hell of a dungeon, so you don't want to get lost. Moses even offers to help you, but if you don't want the title for Senel, and you want to just get the heck 'outta there, it's up to you. But, I will provide a way out after hours of frustration. Use the refresher. Right Up Left Left(Melange Gel) Left Up(Refresher and Save Point) Right Up Right -Scene- Up(Syrup Bottle) Right(Life Bottle) Right Right(Orange Gel) Fork(Up) Right(Traveling Merchant) Right(Refresher) -Scene- Up Left Left Down Right(Chaotic Zone - Aifread's Flag) Back Down Right Down Right Up Right(War Javelin - Moses) Back Left(Shell Bottle) Up Up(Leather Boots) Down -Butterflies- Right Down Right(Save Point) Right(EXIT) After the LONG dungeon, it's boss time. Boss: Armed Angler HP: 14875 Items: Elixir This guy's easy once you use Senel and Chloe. Make sure they attack at a constant rate, so the enemy won't be able to input too much damage on you. Climax helps, too. After the battle, you will see a scene followed by an anime cutscene. Then you will see another scene. Head to the World Map. All you really need to do is follow the forest. Then head down to an area with water. Activate the Duct. Head back to Werites Beacon to re-stock and cook, and head back. Once you're done, head on in. This ends Chapter Three. ---------------------------------------------------- Chapter Four: The War-Torn Land ---------------------------------------------------- Maurits' Hermitage Items: None After the long scene. Save and head up to sleep and discuss matters. You discover you will have to go to the Man-Eating Ruins. You head off, with Norma uneasy. To get to the Man-Eating Ruins, head right long enough until you see a path you can follow. Follow it to see mountains, then head down, from the mountains. You see a huge round-ish, white thing on your map. That's the Man-Eating ruins. Activate the duct, and head to Werites Beacon to re-stock, if you wish. Man-Eating Ruins Items: Lemon Gel, Panacea Bottle, Syrup Bottle, Climax Bottle, Elixir, Magic Lens, Poison Charm, Stone Charm, Talisman, Saffron Plant, 2000 Gald. Once you are ready, head in. You will see the Man-Eating Ruins are already open. Go inside. Go left for the Panacea Bottle. Go back and head for the first Chaotic Zone. It has a Poison Charm behind it. The other one holds a Lemon Gel. Once you grab those, keep going. Go around to the next area. Head right for Magic Lens, then head through the Chaotic Zone for a Saffron Plant. There is another Chaotic Zone, so head for it, and grab the Climax Bottle. Head right where there are more Chaotic Zones that hold an Elixir. Go up, grab the Syrup Bottle and the 2000 gald in the treasure chest, then go up and left through even more Chaotic Zones for a Stone Charm. Go right where you will find a save point. Save and go past the save point for more Chaotic Zones that holds a Talisman. Go up for a puzzle booth. Hit the middle switch, easily by standing near the warp. Then with a direct angle, shoot westwards to hit the other one. Push the two blocks near the two blocks at the warp. Hit the mirror westwards to hit the switch at the top. Then shoot the other mirror, on the eastern position. After that, go through the warp. Head up where you'll see an odd scene. Boss time!! Boss: Diva HP: 12000 Boss: Mimic Head HP: 15000 Items: Protect Ring Well, you might want to equip the Stone Charm since the Diva can petrify. Hopefully, you restocked and have enough Panacea Bottles, because both of these guys have some Status Effect waiting to throw on you. They should be easy, reguardless. Since it's two of them, I'd reccomend Climax Mode to freeze the Diva and take it out, then the other one should be a piece of cake. After the battle, head up to find the Whisper Crystal and a woman who is... a little messed up in the head. After the long scene, head out of the dungeon for yet another long scene. When that's over, you'll have to head back to Maurits' Hermitage. Maurits' Hermitage Items: None After the scene, Senel and Chloe will have a "private" meeting. It's not like that, they're just going to train. Anyway, head out, and you and Chloe will head out to Hermit Hill, where you will begin training. Hermit Hill Items: None You guys will be doing about 5-10 battles, so it will be good for training. There is also a refresher, and since you have two Frontline characters with you, it won't be too much trouble. After some battles, Senel and Chloe discover Norma and Moses spying on them. Apparently, they were expecting something to happen. After that, you will see a scene, and it's morning time, again. Norma and Moses are beat. You will see Jay again, then you will have your strategy planned out. Now you'll head for the Frontline. Head for 1'o clock, then head right. Follow the mountains up, and you will reach the Frontline. Return to Werites Beacon for supplies and to re-stock and head back to the Frontline. You can't exit once you go, so be prepared. Frontline Items: Pineapple Gel, Lemon Gel, Melange Gel, Miracle Gel, Scallip Gel, Life Bottle, Syrup Bottle, Flare Bottle, Panacea Bottle, Shell Bottle, Dark Bottle, Climax Bottle, Magic Lens, FOE2 Charm, Hunter Beat, Silver Sword, Silver Javelin. After the scene, you are free to wander around until you choose to go forward. On the right of you, there is a merchant, so if you didn't go back to Werites, you can re-stock here. Go forward, but don't charge up. You'll have to sneak your way past the guards to go up. Go up, and head left. Grab the Miracle Gel, then go right and grab the Lemon and Pineapple Gels. There is a soldier up ahead, so when the time is right, go up. Go up, and grab the Life Bottle before advancing. You will see another soldier. Wait for him to come over from the left, and up from the right, then go up left. Go up and wait for the soldier to go up. Once he does, go right and grab the Scallop Gel and the Flare Bottle. Once you're done, go on ahead. Grab the Silver Javelin for Moses, and go up for a Syrup Bottle and a Magic Lens. Go up and right and grab the Melange Gel. Go up for a scene, then go left and grab the FOE2 Charm. Go up and right and grab the Panacea, Dark, and Shell Bottles, then slowly and carefully time your passage through the guards. Grab the Climax bottle, then go left and grab the Hunter Beat for Senel. Go up for a Silver Sword for.. you guessed it, Chloe! Go through the guard when he walks to the small corner, then you will reach a save point. Save and go on. Wait for the guard to move up and follow him slowly. When he goes past the fence, the other guard will be moving down. Run to the side when they reach those certain positions, and go on ahead, for you guessed it again.. a boss! Boss: Pharoh Giganto HP: 37444 Items: Seal Charm Make sure to use Climax as a certain major advantage for you, because this guy is damn hard. He charges at you, hitting the characters in the back. Try to hit him down, and be sure to use ocean attacks with Will, if you have Spread. Other than that, it should be fairly easy. Also, let Norma use Rally on you, unless you have Flare Bottles. After the scene, it's anooooother dungeon. Before you head up, go to the camp to re-stock and refresh. Bridge Plain Items: None From here, you will see a scene, followed by an anime scene. You can go up or right, which ever one you want, because it isn't all that much in comparison. After you see a scene, go down to reach your camp. Refresh then another scene. Boss time. Boss: Dragon HP: 17507 Items: Dragon Mail This guy isn't all that hard, it all matters on timing. His attacks are timed, so it's good to watch at warnings and use guardian. Have Norma cast Ice Wall, since he's weak to Ice, so be sure to also disable her Fire attacks. Other than that, this guy is easy. After a scene, you will get your sixth character, Jay. He is useful in close ranged fighting, and he also does elemental-based attacks, which makes him VERY useful. You still won't have the chance to go back so take's Jay's suggestion in mind, and go to the tent to see a scene with Fenimore. You will also have the chance to buy things and re-stock. When you're ready, leave. Bridge Items: Orange Gel, Orange Gel, Orange Gel, Orange Gel, Lemon Gel, Melange Gel, Melange Gel, Melange Gel, Miracle Gel, Panacea Bottle, Panacea Bottle, Life Bottle, Life Bottle, Life Bottle, Flare Bottle, Flare Bottle, Diheli Bottle, Shell Bottle, Shell Bottle, Holy Bottle, Syrup Bottle, Accucity Bottle, Climax Bottle, Magic Lens, Lavender Plant, Sage Plant. Well, from the looong list of items, you're sure to think this is a looong dungeon. Yep. Anyway, you will see a scene, and then another one, inside. Go around, from the first fork, grab the Lemon Gel, then you will see red flash. Examine it to hit the switch. Go up and go to the first room you see. Grab the Panacea Bottle, then hit the switch. Go up, and right, for another room. Grab the Holy Bottle, and hit the switch. Go to the next area from the door at the end. Check the sides to find an Orange and Melange Gel, as well as a Life Bottle. Go up and right and go to the room, grab the Shell Bottle and hit the switch. Go left and go through the activated door. You will find a save point, so save and head left. Grab the Orange Gel up ahead, then go up. Grab the Diheli Bottle, the Syrup Bottle, and the Flare Bottle. Then go through the green duct. Grab the block that below and push it left and down. Now, grab the blocks in a neat row, and push them left. Grab the other block on the right and add it to your neat row. Now go left and push the block down and then grab the block on the very right, and pull. Go to the other side of it and push. Go through the warp. Boss: Melanie HP: 16000 Boss: Fearful Bear X HP: 8000 Items: Resist Ring Take out the bear, since he does nothing, and is basically an obstacle. Once you take him out, head for Melanie. Have Norma and Jay cast their Ice attacks. Melanie likes to use fire, so ice is a good weakness. Now with that out of the way, defeat Melanie. Save your Climax, unless you're willing to re-charge it in battles. If you cooked, eat after the battle. After the battle, save, then go up. You'll find a closed-up door. You'll see an event, then you're on a chase! Go down, and then you'll see an event. Go again and go down the platform. Go down, and you'll see another scene. Go on some more, and you'll see another scene... or in other words, another one of Cashel's sad attempts. After, it's another boss fight. Boss: Cashel HP: 13861 Items: Doom Charm This guy likes to spam his stupid knives, and it will really tick you off. Use Guardian since just guarding won't work. Use Norma and Jay's fire attacks since his weakness is fire. You can use Climax on him now, although it's better to save it for the next battle. Eventually, you'll beat him down. After the event, you'll get the Card Key. Go through the closed-up door to see another event. Go up and left for a Melange Gel, the right to use the refresher and save point. Save and go up. Along the way, you will get a Panacea Bottle and an Orange Gel. Head up when you're ready. Boss: Stingle HP: 14513 Items: Heal Bracelet Before the battle, put Will on your team. This guy is HARD, and I mean it! When he attacks you, you better block and use Guardian, because it takes off a hell of a lot. Put your party on "Hold Back!" and hopefully, the morons will hold back. Have Will do lightning-based attacks, and make sure you disable earth-based attacks for Norma and Will. Hopefully, you saved Climax because it HELPS. After the scene, grab the Flare and Shell Bottles and take the elevator. Go up and save. Now go through the door. Might as well take Will off your team and put Jay back, since Will's not gonna be of use for the next boss battle. Go right to grab an Orange Gel, then hit the switch. You have to change all the switches the same color as the beam blocking your path, so be aware of that. This floor is red. Go up and right and hit the switch and grab the Life Bottle. Go up and left and hit the switch, as well as grabbing the Magic Lens. The beam should dissappear, so head down and left. The next floor is blue. Go down and left, and then and grab the Sage Plant. Go right and up, hit the other switch, and grab the Lavender Plant. Go up and left and go to hit the switch and grab the Melange Gel. Go left and up and hit the other switch and grab Accucity Bottle. Once you're done, go on ahead. This floor is green. Go right and up and hit the switch. Grab the Miracle Gel, go up and left and hit the other switch. Grab the Climax Bottle. Go through the last part, and you'll finally find a save point. Save and head for the evillll Vaclav! Boss: Vaclav HP: 17415 Items: Emerald Ring Vaclav is pretty easy, but he's strong with lightning. Turn off your lightning attacks for all your Crystal Eres users, and head for him. He's pretty strong, so don't let Chloe charge in and die. Be sure to heal her. Hopefully your Climax charged up, if so, use it against him, and you will win. After that, you will see a long sad scene. It is a major event to Legendia. After the long scene, you end up in the Graveyard. And with that, Chapter 4 ends. ---------------------------------------------------- Chapter Five: Awakening ---------------------------------------------------- Graveyard Items: None You could never enter the Graveyard before so you could say, it's now accesesable. After the scene, you can explore the graveyard if you want, though it's pretty pointless. When you are done, head out to Will's house. You'll have to deliver medals to your buddies. Here are the locations of your team: Chloe - Hospital (Upper Left of town) Norma - Inn Moses - Upper part of town, near the light house. Grune - Fountain Plaza Head back to Will's house to find Jay. Then, a long scene will occur. You will have to head to the Village of the Ferines to visit Shirl (yeah, I call her Shirl. Norma Power!!) Head out and re-stock and cook. Check out the Weapons and Armor, since there are some new stuff there. Now save and head out. Just follow the path right next to town, where there is Shallow Water, and you will find the Village of the Ferines. If you are having trouble, you can use the World Map with R3. Village of the Ferines Items: None Activate the duct, then head in the village. After the scene, check out the merchant that's selling stuff, and grab some equipment and items. Explore the town, then go in the inn to rest. A long scene occurs, and I will explain it. Senel recieves a letter at night, it says that Fenimore wants to meeet him although it's really Shirley. Chloe is obviously worried, well, she does have a crush on Senel, so she wants to spy, and Norma wants to spy as well, just for the hell of it. They get stopped, though. Senel meets Shirley, and they chat a bit, then Shirley tries to confess her love. Senel doesn't want to hear it, and tells him he's only with Stella. Shirley is upset and says that Stella was in love with him ever since they met. She then runs off. Soon, Senel goes to sleep, ignoring his friends. After the scene, you will have to head to the Hidden Fortress. Go back from the way you came there, and cross the Shallow Water. I suggest you check the map since my directions aren't all that clear. Now, when you get there, activate the duct. Hidden Fortress Items: Apple Gel, Apple Gel, Apple Gel, Apple Gel, Apple Gel, Apple Gel, Apple Gel, Orange Gel, Melange Gel, Life Bottle, Climax Bottle, Flame Charm, Panic Charm. After the scene, head on in. Go around the path, then head down through the massive amount of Chaotic Zones. Go back up and head up the stairs. Go around. Grab the Orange Gel and the Life Bottle from the treasures, then head to the Puzzle Booth. Push the block in your way to head up the stairs, then go near the bigger area. Push all the blocks in your way, simple as that. Then head to the lower stairs. Use the block thats there to make a bridge so that you can hit the switch. Then just head through the warp. There'll be a red.. thing when you get out. Just grab the Melange Gel next to it, and head left. Go to the fourth cel for an Apple Gel, then head through the Chaotic Zone and grab the Panic Charm. Go right, and you will see the red things, rotating around the room. Don't go straight toward it, because you will trigger the alarm, and the cels and doors won't be accessable. Remember that red thing? Well if you ever trigger the alarm, you can go back and turn it off. You can use the cels to hide in, when the censors is passing around. The first cel has an Apple Gel, then go to the one next to the Chaotic Zone. Grab the key, then go through the Chaotic Zone and grab the Flame Charm. Go back to the door you saw earlier and go to the next area. Go to the fifth cel and grab the Apple Gel. Then go up and follow the path, go through the Chaotic Zone, then grab the key from the cel right near it. Go though the Chaotic Zone and grab the Climax Bottle, then head right and grab the Apple Gels in the first two cels and the cel before the door. Save. You will see a scene.. Norma and Will are quite knowlegeable, no? Anyway, after the scene, head up for another one. Boss time. Boss: Silver Galf HP: 25991 Boss: Gold Galf HP: 25000 Items: Moon Crystal, Elixir GOD, these guys are annoying! They'll attack and cast these non-stop combos on you, so watch out for Chloe. Your Norma probably knows some good spells, so use them, and have her heal and ressurect, just in case Chloe or Senel dies. Jay 'oughta be a good one for this battle, since all you really need is front- line characters, and a healer/caster(Norma, duh). Anyway, you can also use Climax to take out one, so the other one will be easier. After the battle, head allll the way back. Once you're outta there, you'll see a scene. Head back to Werites Beacon and re-stock, then head up and right. Once you cross the bridge, head up. Keep heading up across two bridges, and stay in the same direction. You'll eventually reach a duct. Activate the duct and head on in. Altar of the Sea Items: Orange Gel, Pineapple Gel, Melange Gel, Life Bottle, Syrup Bottle, FOE3 Charm, Silk Robe, Rune Beret. You'll see a scene as you enter, with Chloe uneasy. Head in and follow the path up and go left. Grab the Orange Gel. Go around and go down for the Life Bottle. Keep going and go through a Chaotic Zone for an FOE3 Charm. Go to the next area. Grab the Silk Robe that's being guarded by a Chaotic Zone. Go around and loop up to grab the Rune Beret. Keep going up. Another scene occurs, this time it is tragic. After the scene, go right. Grab the Melange Gel and go around and grab the Pineapple Gel. Go down and left and go down for a Syrup Bottle. Then head up for a save point. Save and go around. Another scene, sadder, this time. Boss time. Boss: Gust Mammon HP: 21919 Items: Poison Charm He's just an obstacle to keep the party busy. He's really easy, so it should be no trouble. After the battle, go up. You will see a scene. Boss: Walter HP: 18266 Just stay alive until Walter ends the battle himself. After the extremely long scene, head down and save. Now after another scene, head up, all the way up to where Moses' bandits are camped out(top part of town), then head to the lighthouse, up. You'll see a scene. After another darn long scene, you will get Grune on your team. She's not that useful, in my opinion, but it never hurts to try, right? It seems you're stuck here for a while. And so ends Chapter 5. ---------------------------------------------------- Chapter 6: The Fallen Lands ---------------------------------------------------- The Quiet Lands Items: Apple Gel Meh, you'll be stuck here for a while, dungeon-wise, anyway. You can still go back to Werites Beacon to re-stock. There should be a treasure box near you, so grab the Apple Gel, and save. Well, that "vision" you guys had, leads you to the Fire Monument. Head southwest, and you'll find your first destination. Fire Monument Items: Apple Gel, Orange Gel, Life Bottle, Life Bottle, Rune Bottle, Magic Lens, Dragon Tooth, Piyo Charm As you enter, you notice this is the place you saw in your vision. They read the writings on the monument, but nothing comes to mind, so Norma decides to kick the platform, and BAM, the door opens. Remember to turn off all Fire Spells for your party! Once you are ready, head on in. Go up the noticable ramp floors, and eventually you'll reach a chest. It contains a Rune Bottle. Keep going to find a large crystal in which you invision a rectangular thing in the middle of the ocean. Keep going, and then you'll find another large crystal. You will see land coming from the rectangular thing. Keep going and grab the Magic Lens. You'll keep going until you encounter another crystal in which they invision a now, diamond-thing. Keep going, and you'll come to a door, where you'll see a scene. After the scene, save. In each side, for this area, there are chests and switches. Hit each switch and grab the Apple Gel, Orange Gel, Life Bottle, Life Bottle, Dragon Tooth, and Piyo Charm. Then head up. You'll have another vision, then it's boss time. Boss: Volcano Gaet HP: 36048 Items: Flare Mantle Do some nice Ice spells with your party, so make sure you have Norma on your team. He has a huge weak point, since he's really slow. He should be easy to handle, so Senel, Chloe, and Norma should be more than enough to take this big meanie down. After the scene, you'll be in the Coast, where the MofuMofus have set up camp for you. After the long conversationg, you have to head for the Ice Monument. Go the the Mofumofu merchant, and re-stock, and then save. When you leave the coast, head down, and east, all the way east. This should be the easiest to find, disreguarding the Earth Monument. Ice Monument Items: Melange Gel, Life Bottle, Shell Bottle, Syrup Bottle, Panacea Bottle, Rune Bottle, Mithril Hammer, Mithril Spear Turn off all Ice Spells for your party or just Norma, then head in. Norma will kick the platform, and the bridge will open up, so head on in. Watch out for the spikes of icicles that pop out of the ground. You'll get injured if you get caught. Keep going to find a Syrup Bottle, then keep going to see your first vision. You see a white rectangular thing, this time. Keep going, not too far, for your second vision. You will see the platform again, heading out from land. Keep going to encounter the next one in which you'll see the land in trouble. After that, keep going and grab the Rune Bottle. You'll see a funny scene, after that, save. Go in, and grab all the treasures. Then, hit all the switches on the LEFT, so that the cylinders bubble. After that, head for the door for the last vision. Now, another boss. Boss: Glacier Gaet HP: 37745 Items: Freeze Mantle This guy likes to dive into the floor, so watch out for your rear characters. He's easy, and slow, too. So with a little hack-n-slash, he'll be dead. Be sure to use Climax if he constantly dives. After the sene, head back to the Coast, for yet, another scene! They discuss matters, and then Jay says he has a feeling who's giving them those visions and listening to them. After this, save and re-stock and head on out. Go all the way down, and left a little, to find the Thunder Monument, your next destination. Thunder Monument Items: Apple Gel, Orange Gel, Melange Gel, Lemon Gel, Flare Bottle, Accucity Bottle, Rune Bottle, Beat Homing. Disable your Thunder attacks, and enable your Earth ones, then head in. When you go in, thunder will strike and Chloe will grab onto Norma, scared. Norma kicks the platform, and then enter. After the funny scene, go in. You'll see something like, black holes. They're warps that will warp you in the right direction. Go through the first one, and grab the Flare Bottle, then go back and go up. Grab the Accucity Bottle, and go through the warp, you will have another vision. You'll see something like a shooting star. Go through the next warp, and go down. Take the right warp, then head up to see another vision. You'll see a tsunami. Go back and take the other left warp. Follow the path up to the door. Go through, and you'll see another funny scene. After the scene, save, and head up. Only hit the switches on the first row, and on the third row. After this, grab the chests with an Apple Gel, an Orange Gel, a Melange Gel, a Lemon Gel, a Rune Bottle, and a Beat Homing for Senel. After this, head up for another vision. Chloe got to hold onto Senel, yay! Anyway, after the scene, BOSS TIME. Boss: Tempest Gaet HP: 39522 Items: Thunder Mantle He's just like the past two, so have Norma cast some Earth-type spells, and whack away with him, with Senel and Chloe. After the scene, head back to Coast where they'll talk ONCE AGAIN. After the darn long scene, save and re-stock. Then head for the final monument, the Earth. It's fairly easy to find, just go down a little, and head left to the first open area you see. Earth Monument Items: Life Bottle, Rune Bottle, 555, 765, 888, 1000, 1500 Gald. Lots of Gald here. Anyway, disable your Earth attacks, and enable your Thunder attacks. Head on in. No enemies here, yay! Anyway, watch out for the Purple-ish squares moving around on the floor, and if you walk into one, you get sent back to the starting, so watch out. Head up and grab the Life Bottle, then first vision. You'll see a tower in the middle of the sea, with things surrounding it. Keep going for the next vision, which shows the ocean shining. Go up and grab the Rune Bottle, then head for the third vision which shows huge waves surrounding. Next, you'll see a funny scene, and then get titles for Grune and Norma. Save, and head to the next area. Grab all the gald and hit the right switch in the first row and the third row and hit the left switch in the second row. Go up, and you'll see the final vision. After that, you guessed it, boss time. Boss: Earthquake Gaet HP: 41383 Items: Geo Mantle He's the exact same thing, just with more HPs. Cast Thunder attacks on him, which Norma and Will should be good, and just whack away with him, with Senel and Chloe. After this, you'll see another scene, and then you will head back to camp. When you do, you will see another long scene. After that, you should head to the glowing area, you saw. Refresh, re-stock, and save, then head all the way down, and east, to find the opposite of the coast. Geoglyph Area Items: None You have to put the slabs on the right order, and when you put one in the right place, it will make a sound. The order goes from: Third Second First Fourth and then, it will glow. You'll see a scene, where the characters are somewhat, devoted. Each of them makes a devotion, and they will get sacred eres. Each of them, all except Senel. He gets ticked off, and screams at the ocean like a maniac. The party just stares. Soon after, you head back to camp where you will see a scene. Senel shares to Chloe, his past, in which he was ordered to capture Shirley. He of course, found new-found peace, and then he starts complaining again. Chloe slaps some sense into him, literally. After that, Senel discovers his own weakness, which resides deep inside his heart. Nerifes soon accepts him. After that, you find out the Mofumofus discovered a passage. Head out, to the elevator. Elevator Items: None Your final destination in the Quiet Lands, is the Elevator. The Mofumofus seem to have discovered a train. So now, you have your own personal train! Yay! It leads to Mirage Palace. You soon get to name each Nerifes, in which Norma will come up with some whacky names, but they decide to call them the Quiet Nerifes and the Raging Nerifes. You soon will arrive in Mirage Palace. And so ends Chapter Six. The next Chapter, Chapter Seven, the final chapter in the main quest, begins. ------------------------------------------------------------ Chapter Seven: Shining Blue ------------------------------------------------------------ Mirage Palace Items: Apple Gel, Orange Gel, Lemon Gel, Pineapple Gel, Melange Gel, Life Bottle, Life Bottle, Accucity Bottle, Diheli Bottle, Flare Bottle, Elixir, Savory Plant, All-Divide, Climax Bottle, Rune Bottle, Magic Mist, Holy Cloak, Stone Charm, Flare Bottle, Aqua Mantle, Nintou: Chizakura, Rune Mail, Elengi Hat, Nintou: Gyouten, Holy Bottle, Holy Robe, Panic Charm, Bimetal, Belbane Well, from the whole junk of items, you suppose this will be one hell of a dungeon, and well, you're certainly correct. When you're rady, at the entrance go left and grab the Holy Cloak protected by the Chaotic Zone. Go right and then head up and go all the way around. Go down, to the next Chotic Zone and grab the Stone Charm, then go up and head left. Grab all three blocks and push them off. Line those blocks up near thhe mirrors and head up the stairs. Hit the three switches, then go bridge the six blocks to make a bridge. Head through the warp. Grab the Holy Bottle. Now, you have three options. Keep warping left so that you can get out of there. Follow this part to get all the treasures. Or keep warping until Will offers to help you..but it will result in the risk of losing a title for Senel. Warp Left ~ Panic Charm Right Left ~ Lemon Gel Right ~ Life Bottle Down Top Left Left ~ Apple Gel, Orange Gel Once you're done, head left. Go up and left through the Chaotic Zones for a Magic Mist and an Aqua Mantle, then head right past the Chaotic Zone, for a Elixir and another one for a Savory Plant. Go up and left. Go right and grab a Seal Charm from the Chaotic Zone. Go to the left and grab the All-Divide from the Chaotic Zone, then go up the stairs. There's a refresher and a save point. So heal and save, and then you will be stopped by Walter. Boss time, and finally you get to kick Walter where it hurts, for now. Boss: Walter HP: 55270 Items: Force Ring He's not very hard, again, it kinda depends on timing. His attacks hurt, and I don't mean when he does Indignation. Keep Norma or any of your other rear characters safe, or else they're dead. Make sure Norma does Revive, too, or else Chloe WILL DIE. Be sure to use Guardian and Climax. After the long scene, you will be in Werites. Werites Beacon Items: None Of course, before every *final* dungeon, there's always a huge event before it. After the scene, head to the Fountain Plaza. Urgh, now you'll see everyone talking. Norma ~ Writing to her Parents Senel ~ Talking with Chloe Will ~ Talking with Harriet Moses ~ Talking with his fellow bandits Jay ~ Talking with his animal friends(Mofumofus) After the scene, head out and re-stock, and save, obviously, then head for the Lighthouse. It's *final* dungeon time~! Wings of Light Items: Pineapple Gel, Lemon Gel, Life Bottle, Diheli Bottle, Flare Bottle, Climax Bottle, Mistic Symbol, Feet Symbol, Excalibur, Attack Symbol, Longnius, Miracle Gel, Miracle Gel, Miracle Gel, Elixir, Elixir, FOE1 Charm. Let me start off by saying, be prepared for a LONG dungeon, and I mean it! Start off by saving, then go on to the elevator. Follow the path, then keep going up through the Chaotic Zone and grab the Longinus for Moses. Head right and up and keep going. Go left and grab the Miracle Gel, then head up and right through the Chaotic Zone and grab the Elixir. Go left and grab the Climax Bottle, through the Chaotic Zone, then go back. Grab the Flare Bottle, then head left and down. Go right and go up past the Chaotic Zones to grab the Feet Symbol and the Mistic Symbol, then go down and right and grab the Excalibur for Chloe. Now go down and take the duct to the Puzzle Booth. I can't really help you here, since it's all a matter of timing. Go up on the stairs and wait for the mirror to move where you can hit it to hit the switch. If you're having trouble, press start to raise the camera. When you're done, head through the warp. Go up and left, then pass the Chaotic Zone and grab the Attack Symbol. Go all the way right and go up the elevator. Keep going right. Take the elevator and keep following the path. Go all the way down and grab the Miracle Gel, then go back to the elevator and go up the green path. Go up to the next area, and go through the Chaotic Zone for an FOE1 Charm. Go up the red path, then go left. Go through a Chaotic Zone for an Elixir, then go up and right, and then go up the elevator for another one. After the scene, go up the elevator. Now, time for a really, really long path to follow. There isn't really much to say besides grab the Pineapple Hel, the Diheli Bottle, the Lemon Gel, and then you'll encounter a scene. It's boss time. Boss: Automata Royal HP: 41875 Items: Charm Bottle This guy isn't hard, all that's hard is his stupid big blast. Other than that, he's just another obstacle. Finally, Walter gives up and soon dies. After the sad moment, go up and grab the Miracle Gel, then go left and grab the Life Bottle. There's a refresher and a save point. Please note this is the final save point in the main quest. When you're ready, head up. Boss time. Boss: Maurits HP: 31724 Items: None He's not hard, and the battle will end fast. His combos can get annoying, though. He's got a second part, so watch it. Boss: Maurits HP: 33217 Items: Miracle Gel He's really, REALLY hard. I mean wow. Hurry up and knock him down before he casts his huge attacks that will literally KILL your party. Have Norma heal like never before. After the scene, GO BACK AND SAVE. You're automatically fully healed so head on. After the scene, Senel will try to kill Shirley, but he can't. He tries to convince her, and when he eventually does, Maurtis tries to comprehend Nerifes but of course, his mind can't take it, and he's possessed. Time to take out Nerifes! Also, in Tales games, they love fighting godly-like figures, don't they? Boss: Nerifes HP: 83043 Items: Fairy Ring All I suggest you put for Norma is Ressurection and Revive, man you don't have time for her to cast her other spells. This guy loves to beat on you, and I mean DAMN. Watch out for Chloe, because you know she loves to charge in and die, when you revive her, too. When Nerifes goes into his ball-like form, put your party on HOLD BACK, or else THEY WILL DIE. All of them, too. Head to the end of the screen, and guard, or even use guardian. When he crashes to the floor, he'll be stuck, so that'll be a perfect time to use Climax. Also, if you use compound throws, you should have made a special throw for Nerifes, used by Senel. If you're still having problems, use an All-Divide. After this, enjoy your next anime cutscene, because it's actually long! Shirley will ask Senel if he's alright, and he will say yes, but he really isn't. He falls off and drops into the Ocean, while Shirley screams, "Noooo!" Shirley dives in for him, and the surrounding water starts to glow. It seems that the Ocean is blessing their relationship. After that, you'll see the credits, with a horrible American ending. Of course, it isn't the end yet! You'll see black smoke on a shore, and here begins the second half of the game, the Character Quests. ---------------------------------------------------- 5) Character Quests(Chapters 08-15) ---------------------------------------------------- Character Quests: Introduction ---------------------------------------------------- Down the Cliff Items: Life Bottle, Panacea Bottle Thought Shirley was useless, right? Well, you were wrong.. well, slightly wrong, anyway. Anyway, finish the battle, then you will have to fight it again and after you beat it, Shirl and Senel will witness black mist coming from the enemy. Time to head back to Werites and report this to Will. Grab the Life Bottle and Panacea Bottle on your way out, as well as saving. When you're in the world map, just head around the mountains, westward. Then head down to get to Werites Beacon. Werites Beacon Items: None You'll find Harriet quite angry, at Will, of course. You'll find him at M Musette's house, in the upper right part of town. After the conversation, you will be ordered by Will to go to Port-On-Rage, to pick up Chloe!! So head there. Port-On-Rage Items: None As you arrive, everyone is out, so you wait for Chloe. She will quickly join your party. You head back to Werites, while there, you save a girl named Elsa and her father named, Alcott. You escort the family back to Werites. Werites Beacon Items: None Might as well re-stock here, once the scenes are done. You go back to Will's house for a small reunion, and exit to look for the rest of your party when suddenly an old man rams (dunno.. runs?) into Chloe. You must escort him to the graveyard. There, you'll find Norma praying to someone. She reconginzes the old guy, and it turns out to be Zamaran. He calls her a monkey, and every- one else, agrees in their heads, except for Shirl, who thinks out loud. Norma gets angry and grabs Shirley, and heads off. You leave, while you'll find Norma squablling over why Zamaran is there. Senel and Shirl demand an answer from her, where she doesn't want to say, so Chloe tells her, it's okay if she doesn't want to bring up the past. Norma sees that nothing has changed between Chloe and Senel, and blames it on Senel. After this, Curtis will enter, and while squablling over some more terms, you and your party are dragged along to the inn. Norma joins the party. Here, you are dragged into the battle arena. Where suddenly, boss time! Boss: Moses HP: 34781 Funny how his HP jumps up when he's not on your team. Anyway, as you know, he's a long-distanced fighter, so he should be a piece of strawberry cake. After the scene, head to Will's. You'll find Grune.. uh.. planting. After the odd scene, head in. You'll see another scene, followed by a funny one with Norma hugging Grune and the guys blushing, wishing it were them. They discuss the black mist, then they head for Fallingwater!!!! Brings back memories, don't it!? Fallingwater Items: Elixir, Flan, Pineapple, Radish, Radish, Black Ores, Bow Key Follow the obvious one-way path, where near the look of the town, Norma will use the Sorcerer's Scanner, and you get the Bow Key. Again, she'll use it, a few paces up, and it's rare monster time. Nothing real big, he's really weak and shouldn't be anything hard to handle. Head to the save point, and save, then head on... Lumen Spring Items: None Here it is, Lumen Spring. Suddenly, boss time! Boss: Valt HP: 55650 Items: Rune Cape Nothing tough really.. he just does some little damage. Watch for Chloe, and hit stupid huge energy blasts. After the scene, you'll be back at Werites. Save, then you will see a scene with Harriet. She wonders if she can find the flower her mother gave her on the legacy, and here, begins Will: A Flower and A Promise. ---------------------------------------------------- Will: A Flower and A Promise ---------------------------------------------------- So, now you'll be heading back and forth, until finally, you'll wake up to the sound of a baby. Chloe joins up with you, as well as Will, then suddenly, you'll get your whole party back (saves you the trouble of looking, I guess..) Head to the Great Hollow, re-stocking first. Great Hollow Items: Apple Gel, Orange Gel, Life Bottle, Panacea Bottle, Flare Bottle, Syrup Bottle, Diheli Bottle, Accucity Bottle, Climax Bottle, Dark Bottle, Charm Bottle, Aifread's Flag, Black Ores, Blue Talisman, 4000 Gald I found this quite complicated (I have no sense of direction), so this might be a little tougher than last time. As you know, the enemies have grown stronger, as well. There's a Blue Talisman in the first area, behind two Chaotic Zones. You'll do some walking. Go around and grab the treasures, then head down the elevator. You'll be resting here, because of Will's odd sense of caring for his daughter. Anyway, head down, and you'll find a Chaotic Zone. Use the Sorcerer's Scanner behind it for an All-Divide. Go around and grab all the treasures, then head down for the elevator. You'll see the parents being attacked, now it's a fast battle, no chit-chats, here. Boss: Ancient Puppy HP: 59488 Items: Red Lavender Plant This guy is hard for Senel, because he's not exactly on the floor. Chloe should be able to make him come down though, so you might want to use Beast if you have it, or Impact. Then use one of Senel's higher throws. He should go down easily. After the battle, Will, will talk some sense into the parents, and you'll see Harriet a little cheerful now. Will also mentions something about the Thunder Monument, a good cue there. Head for Pippo's workshop and grab the treasures, as well as save, and re-stock here, if you'd like. Head all the way back through the dungeon when you're done. After the scene, Harriet has a solemn urge to go to the Thunder Monument, and get the monster that Will was talking about. It's sort of her way of making up. Anyway, Senel agrees and you gather the party. Head out to the lighthouse. Thunder Monument Items: Lemon Gel, Pineapple Gel, Melange Gel, Scallop, Pineapple, Theif Cape, Thunder Cape, Force Ring Take the first warp you see, and grab the treasure, then head back for another one. Keeps following aound, then take the left warp to the next door. Simple as that. You'll have a little chit-chat convo here, where there's a funny scene, as well as a sad one. After that, save and head up. Harriet will see the Lesser Pup, and goes after it, but there's another one, looks like it's Mom. Boss: Fafnir HP: 69475 Items: Purple Ores This guy has quite a few HPs. Watch out for his combo's, and be sure to use guardian to avoid guard breaks. Other than that, he's the same as any other dragon, only more HPs. After the battle, Harriet gets the Lesser Puppy, but the Fafnir isn't dead, and Shirley saves Harriet. Shirley gets hit, and the party rushes in, Norma healing her. Harriet's hair-piece is broken, as well as her heart. After the scene, grab the treasures containing a Lemon Gel, Pineapple Gel, Melange Gel, Theif Cape, Thunder Cape, and a Force Ring. After this, head back to Werites Beacon. It's Nightime, now. Will grabs Harriet, really angry, and drags her home, to scold her. Senel and Shirl decide to drop by Will's house, to explain. He finds them arguing. Harriet doesn't say anything, but Will continues to scold. He then notices Shirl's wound, and blames it on Harriet, saying she put his friends in danger, then she says his friends are more precious. She ends it with yelling at him, why couldn't he have died instead of mom. OUCH. Then she runs out the house, dropping her hair-piece. Senel and Shirl decide to go to Harriet's, but she's too angry and ingorant. You then have to head back to Will's, where you'll see a room, just for Harriet. Even though his daughter had never accepted him, he still dreamed of having a family. He can't seem to bring himself together to say what he means. He took care of it, all by himself. He said it hurt so much when she said, in front of Amelia's Grave, why couldn't he die instead of mom. He couldn't possibly face her, after hearing that. He was exiled to the Legacy, never to set foot on main land, or else abided with a death sentence. After that, Senel and Shirley go back to Harriet. They want to show her the room that Will had made for her. Harriet is shocked when she sees the room, and keeps screaming that it's not fair, but she'll try, because she wants to accept him. Next, Will is in the meadow. He sees the black mist, and that same shadowy figure appears. He wonders what was that, but then he remembers, he has to keep the promise to Amelia... he has to protect the flowers. You'll see a flashback where Amelia asks Will to promise to protect the flowers, even if she dies. He also had one day to choose a name for their baby.. Afterwards, Will asks Senel to come with him to the Waterways, it's urgent. After this, you'll have everyone. Save and re-stock, then head out. Waterways Items: Orange Gel, Melane Gel, Syrup Bottle, Syrup Bottle, Flare Bottle, Toast, Diheli Bottle, Climax Bottle, Climax Bottle, Accucity Bottle, Elixir, All-Divide, All-Divide, Lavender Plant, Elven Cape, Angel Tear, Holy Ring, Quill, Purple Ores, 2000 Gald, 3000 Gald, Radish Remember this!? OH, THE HORROR!! Go up and all the way easy to grab some treasures, if you need 'em bad. Anyway, head down and grab the Syrup Bottle, then go through the Chaotic Zones and grab the Elixir. Head up more and grab the 2000 Gald and the Orange Gel. Then go back and save. Head back where you were, and go through the next Chaotic Zone for an All-Divide and a Climax Bottke, then head up some more and grab the Angel Tear for Chloe, and the Elven Cape. Go back and take the path going to the bottom right, go all the way around and keep going. You'll see a scene, where they see a shining monster, but Will's not interested!?!? Follow Will, andhead down through the Chaotic Zones to go back. Grab a Climax Bottle, then head through the next few Chaotic Zones. Grab the Holy Ring and the All-Divide. Then go back. Go up and go around. You'll find a refresher and a save point. Save and heal, then head back down and around. Grab the Accuicty Bottle. Go down and left, then up. Go around again, and grab the Melange Gel. Then head right, and grab the Purple Ores, go back and go left and grab the Diheli Bottle, then go back up. Puzzle Time! Use the mirror right next to the switch, to hit it. Then go right next to the exit, and hit the next two mirrors. It will hit that switch, then go right, fire and you'll hit the last one. Now, head down for a Quill for Shirl. Go right and then head up, then head right some more. Grab the 3000 gald, then head back and head there for a Lavender Plant and a Flare Bottle, right behind that Chaotic Zone. Go down and go through the Chaotic Zone for Toast. Go ahead and grab the Melange Gel up ahead, then go down to find a refresher and a save point. Save and heal, then head down. You'll find mist, mist, and more mist. The mist forms into Will, and can you guess what's next? Friends conversing? YOU'RE WRONG! Boss time!! Boss: Dark Will HP: 43776 Items: Lure Well, Will's dark form isn't anything near hard, just don't let him do Freeze Lancer, or his specialty spam attack, Indignation! He probably won't even get to cast, anyway, because you'll be knocking the crap out of him. The mist gets worse, and the party flees (scared!!), while Senel and Shirl stay behind, because Will won't budge. He says he must keep his promise. He uses his Eres, but the black mist contains him. He sees the shadowy-like figure, and it asks him why he is persuading himself to continue. He wants to keep his promise, and the woman says he will fufill it, if he gives up himself. He agrees, but then Senel yells saying if he wants to leave Harriet alone, already without her mother, but not her father, too. Will realizes what he's doing and then he says he will continue, even if it means he must contain pain for a long time to come.. he releases his Eres with a bright, bright light. Then, Grune begins talking to a ball of light, called Ifrit. Everyone thinks she's crazy, but she talks to him, and he turns into a seed until she regains her power and memory. Ending Will says he has to do something, and heads back to town. When they arrive, Musette says that Harriet is missing. Will thinks he knows where she's gone, and heads there, while the party follows. As he thought, he find Harriet in the field of flowers where Amelia used to hang out all the time. He said she used to go there, if she was happy, sad, angry, frustrated, she loved this place. Even their fights, where Will would hate her cooking, and she would get angry. Harriet said she liked when her mom was cooking, because she always had a smile on her face. Suddenly, Will tells Harriet to come live with him, and she says it would be a waste to let the room go, which is her probably her way of saying yes. Will sees the full moon and tells Harriet something special is about to happen. He says there's only a flower that blooms at full moon, and he wants her to see it. He told her, he and Amelia were the ones that named the flower, and Harriet is amazed. He tells her she might cry. Cutscene time. A flower is budding, and Amelia asks Will what name did he think of for the baby. She says on three they'll say the name. Meanwhile the flowers are all budding and glowing, and Harriet is amazed. He then says, "Harriet." and Harriet starts crying. After that, Will picks a flower and puts in on her head. He tells her that she probably thought it was fake, since it's made out of glass, but it's actually a real flower. Now they head home. Harriet tells him to wait outside, and she heads in first. When she tells him to enter, she says, "Welcome Home, Dad!" Senel finally gets a house, and the boys are helping him move in. It seems they're going to have lunch. Back at Will's, Chloe and Shirley are cooking, while making glances at each other, both shy. Grune suddenly enters and says something smells good, then she notices Norma sleeping on Will's couch. Chloe says she wondered why it got so quiet. Shirley then goes to wake Norma up. And she says in her sleep, he'll always be your brother, causing Shirley to pinch her. She wakes up and tells them that she hasn't been getting any sleep lately, and they tell her she should help. She then says she doesn't really have anyone to cook for, making them both blush. They head back, and they begin eating lunch, with everyone enjoying Shirl's and Chloe's cooking, just not Harriet's. Will tells her it's awful, making her sad, and then he said, he has to eat it all, because it's a parent's responsibility. Giet is afraid of it, and runs away, while Harriet says it's Moses' owner, so he has to eat it. He says why me, and then charges out the door (toilet?) Grune tries it, and seems to enjoy it, she's mad I tell you! Anyway, Moses comes back in, saying that was a close one, while Will gets angry and whacks him. Finally, Elsa comes in and tells them there is commotion going on in front of town. It's Thyra, Fenimore's twin sister. They were seperated earlier, but when she found out Fenimore was alive, she was rejoiced, and she blames Shirley for Fenimore's death. Thyra hates the Orerines for letting them live and walk all over them, as she calls it, but Shirley disagrees and tries to convince her, but she leaves. Later, Senel sees Shirley in the graveyard, in front of Stella's grave. She says that it's going to be hard, but she'll achieve it. After this, when Senel and Shirley are heading out, they notice Norma praying at someone's grave again. She says she will definitely find it, and Senel pops in, and asks her what is she going to find, but Norma is shocked, and leaves quickly. Shirley thinks that Norma didn't want to be seen and they read the person's gravestone, his name is "Sven." In the morning, Moses waks Senel up and tells him that Norma has a favor. So head over to the fountain. As you arrive, Norma is arguing with Zamaran. He tells her to stop chasing her stupid dream and she'll end up just like that idiot, Sven. Norma gets really bad, and tells him to stop talking about Sven badly, then he tells her to not waste her life. He then leaves. As he leaves, Norma explains what the favor is, and that's - she wants to find the Everlight. She says it's probably in the Man-Eating Ruins, and after some complicated reasoning, you're heading there! This begins Norma's Character Quest, Norma: Chasing a Dream. ------------------------------------------------------------ Norma: Chasing a Dream ------------------------------------------------------------ As you leave, you will see a flashback. Sven tells her about the Everlight and Norma thinks he's stupid. He was kicked out of Zamaran's school, and Norma asks if he's proud of that. He was kicked out because he argued with Zamaran about the Everlight's existance. Now, we can see where Norma gets her energy, or cheerful-ness. Man-Eating Ruins Items: Flare Bottle, Climax Bottle, Life Bottle, Shell Bottle, Lure, Flag, All-Divide, Purple Ores, Red Ores, Love-Love Straw This dungeon isn't really hard, since there really isn't a path. Just head forward, and grab the All-Divide, the Flare Bottle, and the Climax Bottle. In the next place, Norma says there's a trap, and while she tries to disarm it, it only goes off on Moses, calling him to fall down the path. Moses comes up again, almost to fall, yet again. Anyway, head on, and you'll find some treasures here, as well as Norma's weapon, the Love-Love Straw. When you get to the save point, save and head up for a Puzzle Booth. With the two blocks provided, make a bridge with the other two, so that you can knock down the other two. Push them down and make a straight bridge of six blocks in the middle of the staircases. Push the block in the way, and head for the exit. In the next area, Norma hits a switch accidentially, causing a boss to appear. Boss: Bloody Bed HP: 11459 Boss: Mind Flare HP: 40315 Items: Elixir Get the Bloody Bed out of the way first, since it's only an obstacle. Now, take out the Mind Flare.. he's no biggie, all are his spells to worry about, really. After the battle, it turns out there was no Everlight there, afterall. Head all the way back, to head back to Werites. When you enter, you'll find Zamaran. He tells Norma she didn't find anything, but she's happy anyway, he tells her, she's just wasting her life. Norma has another flashback. She asks Sven if she has no talent, and he tells her that she's studying the anicent language and that it's not fun if you know everything from the start. She wonders why he keeps searching for the Everlight, even though he's failed at finding it, countless times. He says that because he believes, and he'll find it. She wonders if he's paying attention, and he tells her he's looking at her uh.. underwear. She then gets embarressed and talks about an incident she had at school because he told her to do something stupid. He calls her stupid, even though he's stupider. In the morning, Chloe wakes Senel. Go to Will's where Norma tells them that the next place they'll be searching, will be the Ice Monument. Senel wants to know why she's searching for it, and that it involves Zamaran, and the guy named Sven. Norma then tells everyone about Sven, happily. She calls him the stupidest person in the world, but he was fun. Her parents were fighting, so she ran away a lot, because she disliked it. She met Sven then, and when he found out her ablities, he quickly made her his student. He assigned her to a special accademy, and paid for it, and it cost him almost everything he had, since he didn't make a lot. She then says she needs to carry out his dream, and it's become hers. Then Norma turns around and tells them she made half of it up, and runs ahead. Chloe and Moses get angry, but they say she looked happy when she was talking about Sven, and Senel wonders if she really did make that up. They all head for Ice Monument. Now re-stock and head for the lighthouse. Ice Monument Items: Lemon Gel, Miracle Gel, Syrup Bottle, Flare Bottle, Freeze Mantle, Blue Ores, Aifread's Flag This dungeon is the same as before, just avoid the spikes. Grab the treasures, and head on until you reach the next room. Norma thinks there is a trap in this room and carefully looks around, where she goes to a wall and kicks it. A spike comes out and hits Moses right in the butt... a lot. After the funny scene, save, and head on. Grab the chest here, and well, boss time. Black mist again as well, and Grune thinks she's seen it before..(duh?) Boss: Bear Valt HP: 80406 Items: FOE2 Charm This guy is easy, all he is really dangerous for, is his huge ball attack and his dash attacks, but other than that, he's really easy. Remember to use guardian!! Norma looks at the ground where the monster was and finds a button, she presses it, but it looks like another trap. She is hurt by it, and Shirley and Will rush to heal her, but she's still not well. She's poisoned. Senel pulls a piece of the ice spike with posion from her arm, with a cloth, saving it for the indentification of the poision. After this, head back to town. Werites Beacon Items: None You look for Alcot and ask him to look at Norma's wound. They ask Alcot if he can make an antidote for Norma, he says he has to look at it. Head for the hospital with Senel and Chloe. The others are putting Norma to lie down for a while. Alcot says he can made an antidote, so he says visit later, and have Norma drink it. After a while, he gives Senel the antidote. He says the poison can come back, and if it does, drink some more. So head for the inn. Shirley said Norma is not so critical now, and then they discuss issues reguarding the Everlight. Will and Jay suppose they should give up, since they don't even know if it exists or not, but Chloe says it's important to her, and Senel says yes, and goes to check up on her with Shirley. When they get there, Norma is gone, she's gone through the window. Shirley finds Norma's notebook, and shows it to everyone. She tells them mostly all of the antient language there is correct, and that only the Ferines were supposed to know that language. She has studied it hard. Will says that researchers in the Mainland couldn't even get it right, but Norma knows it all. Those also were her reasons for heading to the Man-Eating Ruins and the Ice Monument. They say they're the only people who can help her, and they begin to look for her. Meanwhile, Norma's in the graveyard, in front of Sven's grave, very injured from the poison. She says she was never good at disabling traps, and she remembers Sven telling her to be more cautious while disarming traps. She runs off though, ignoring him, and getting Sven injured as well, she also ends up hurting herself all the time. She says she hasn't changed or improved since then. Now she starts wondering if the Everlight exists. She asks him if it's ok to stop believing, and then the black mist appears, and persuades Norma by saying it's okay to give up, and no one will take it against her or blame her. She also says that Sven will forgive her. Norma says she wants that, and falls. The party hasn't found Norma yet, but they run into Zamaran. He says she's probably at Sven's grave. When you go there, you will see Norma covered in the black mist. It fades away when they come near, and so they give her more medicine. As you head out, Norma says she's given up on the Everlight, and everyone is shocked. Senel tells her that they've seen her notes and that why would she give up. She tells them she never gets anything right, she said she could have just had Shirley translate it, and there was no point in studying so hard. She said she was afraid of finding out the answer, and she was afraid that it was all a lie. They ask her if she's going to throw that all away, and she says yes. Senel says if she can give with regret all her life, then it's fine for her. She then screams and tells them to leave her alone, she's not an idiot. Zamaran then appears and tells her that she's opened her eyes unlike Sven, who wasted his life. She gets angry and tells him to stop talking about Sven like that, he then says she has no right to talk about Sven if she gave up her dream. Norma gets angry and says she'll prove the Everlight exists, and leaves. They ask Zamaran if he really cares for Norma, and he says yes. He said he doesn't want what happened to Sven to happen to her, and he doesn't want her to get hurt. He said he's come to the Legacy to take Norma back. The team comes back, and tells them that Norma's left town already. Zamaran tells them she probably headed for the Crystal Forest, where Sven last searched. They then realized that's what she was doing when they first met her, she was looking for the Everlight. Anyway, re-stock and head for the Crystal Forest. Crystal Forest Items: Life Bottle, Flare Bottle, Holy Bottle, Blue Ores, Red Saffron Plant, Technical Ring, Speed Bracers The layout is basically the same as before. Head around and grab some treasures. Grab the first treasure, then head up. Giet will pick up Norma's smell, and it seems she's way farther. You'll see a scene, where Norma's found something, don't know what it is yet, though. Go left and grab the Speed Bracers, through the Chaotic Zone. Keep heading up, and you'll find a crack in a crystal as well as a save point. Save and head in. You'll see Norma on the floor, and Chloe gives her medicine. She says it tastes horrible, and she was dreaming there was gold across from her, which means she was near death. She looks at the platform ahead of her and activates it. Glowing strange writings appear, and Norma is nervous and scared. She's afraid to find out the answer. Suddenly the Black Mist surrounds her again, and she runs around crazily. The mist turns into a Norma look alike and Norma is pretty angry at it. Before the battle, you can switch Norma, so I reccomend you do so. Boss: Dark Norma HP: 52619 Items: Red Ores It sucks to say that Norma's actually easy. All she does is cast, which brings her at great disadvantage.. all she does is Blizzard, which is nothing compared to your current Norma. After the battle, Grune gets Shadow, and says he will sleep, turning into a seed. They still think Grune's crazy. Ending Anyway, after that, Norma says she must do it, but is doubtful. The Black Mist appears again, and Dark Norma appears again. Grune tells her to remember why's she there, and Senel tells her to accept her feelings. Norma gets engulfed by the black mist, but she said she lost sight of her dreams, and she asks Sven for his power. Her Eres begins to glow, and she says she will believe. The mist disappears. Norma heads for the writings. Head in the warp. She goes through all the warps, and she arrives to a place, where a blue-ish gem ins floating. They look on the walls, and Norma reads it. She begins crying for the first time. Crying too much, she tells him she finally understands, she's finally reached it. Shirley reads the writings, and it says that Sven has considered Norma to be his best student, and that he will meet her again one day, in this very place. He said he was able to find it because Norma believed in him.. so he now believes in her, and he leaves her one final thanks. Norma cheers up, now that she understands his feelings. She decides to go back and drag Zamaran. So she literally drags him there.. and Norma brings him to the Everlight. She said this was Sven's wish, but Zamaran doesn't understand. Cutscene time Norma tells the Everlight to grant her wish and she tells it to restore his sight. When Zamaran opens his eyes, he sees the writings, and Norma, and she says, along with Sven's voice, I told you! After that, the Everlight crumbles and they head back to town. Zamaran decides to stay on the Legacy longer, and Norma shows them a fragment of the Everlight. She tells them she's going to show Sven, so she heads off. An earthquake shakes Senel, but Grune wakes him up. She asks him if she can sleep too, and he says ok, and sits on the bed, then Grune gets in the bed. Shirley soon comes in and takes it the wrong way of course. Anyway, after a little explaining, you're told to head for Will's. So ends Norma's Character Quest, and the Interlude begins. ------------------------------------------------------------ Character Quests: Interlude ------------------------------------------------------------ As you head out, an old blonde dude will ask you for directions to the graveyard. After that event, head to Will's house, where you'll see Moses and Csaba discussing recent attacks on their fellow bandits. They're suspecting Giet, but Moses denies it has anything to do with him. Everyone is at Will's now, except for Norma. Head to the Inn, where you'll find Zamaran trying to bribe the Inn-keeper, as well. After that, Norma will join your party. Now head to Will's. He said Maurits wants to see them, so they'll have to head for the Village of the Ferines. Take the duct there. Village of the Ferines Items: None You'll find Thyra as soon as you enter, and she tells Shirley she doesn't want to listen to her, but Maurtis comes out, and says he is the one who invited them. Thyra soon leaves, and then head for Maurtis' tent. Maurtis tells them the village is hard to convince, and he also tells them about the Black Mist reports. Suddenly, Thyra bursts in, telling them to leave. Then she argues with Shirley, but they tell her that Fenimore accepted them. She doesn't want to believe them, and runs off with Shirley chasing. You'll find Shirley at Fenimore's grave and she tells Fenimore she's sorry for not coming earlier. She then tells Fenimore, Thyra was a lot like her when they first met, but they became friends. As you head out, rest and save, then go get Shirley. There will be another earthquake, and you will hear Thyra yell. There's more mist and it forms with the Galf, creating another monster. Boss: Galf Valt HP: 84191 Items: Sephira This guy's easy. He just seems like the others you've fought earlier, so should be a piece of cake. After the battle, Thyra thanks them, uncomfortably, while Grune plants Shadow's seed. They talk some more, then head back to town. Shirley talks to Thyra more, and tells her that hatred only brings more, and there was no point in that, and that she will make a world where the Ferines and Orenies will get along. When you head back to town, Chloe seems dull. Senel notices it, but she says it is nothing. She remembers what Shirley said, and thinks about her past. She starts remembering when her family died, and the man who killed them, Stingle. Chloe wonders when she will get over it, and starts to go back to sleep. Elsa tells Chloe that her father has been gone to search for herbs, but it's been too long, and she's worried. It turns out that Alcot went to Vaclav's Hidden Fortress, and you have to head there next. Elsa wants to come too, but Chloe says no, and stay for her. In the morning, Harriet wakes Senel and tells him that Chloe has a favor. She tells them what has happened and where Alcot has gone, but Elsa has run off as well, and she needs their help to find them. They agree, and so begins Chloe's Character Quest, Chloe: A Place to Call Home. ------------------------------------------------------------ Chloe: A Place to Call Home ------------------------------------------------------------ Hidden Fortress Items: Lemon Gel, Pineapple Gel, Melange Gel, Red Savory Plant, Belbane, Water Ores, Purple Ores, Mental Ring Like many other dungeons, the layout is exactly the same, and I'm pretty sure you remember this. As you enter, you'll find Elsa. She's very sick from her illness, and Chloe scolds her. After some convincing from Senel, she tags along. Anyway, if you remember the path, then head through the alarms and make your way through the Chaotic Zones. Further, you will find a Puzzle Booth. Push the first block to the right. Now if you can see, the very top block will not be movable. Grab the block on the upper left, and pull it up. Then, grab the block on the upper right, and push it down, while pushing the one in the middle of those two left. Then for the blocks in the middle row, grab the one on the very left and push it down, then grab the middle one, and do the same. Then go back and grab the middle top one, and pull it down, and then grab the one on the upper left and push it up more. Now grab the top row, and push it all toward the stairs near you, then grab the very right block in the middle row, and push it to the stairs, as well. When you are done, move the rest of the blocks, and push them so you can hit the switches, and then go through the warp. After this, you will see a scene. They decide to rest, since Elsa is struggling. Some of the party goes up ahead to look around, and Elsa falls asleep on Chloe's lap. She begins talking about Chloe, telling her not to leave. She soon wakes up, and asks if she said anything weird. Norma tells her she was talking about Chloe, making her blush. She admits that she likes Chloe and wants to be strong like her, because she's always been weak. Chloe tries to convince her, that she's not all great, but Elsa won't listen, while Norma's teasing. Jay, Moses, and Grune come back, saying they haven't seen Alcot. After the scene, save. Go up and grab the Melange Gel, then head up. Go past the Chaotic Zone and grab the Red Savory. Go up some more. Grab the Purple Ores, then head up past the Chaotic Zone. After this, you'll find Alcot on the floor. He's hurt badly. Will and Senel look at his wound, and Senel sees a tatoo. Chloe notices it too and draws her weapon. Before she can do anything, they hear a roar from a monster up ahead. Boss time. Boss: Chariot Gaet HP: 124610 Items: Red Savory Plant This guy is easy, he's just got a lot of HPs. Beware of his spinning attack, but other that that, he's a piece of cake. Elsa asks Chloe if she's ok, but then Alcot kills the Gaet when it gets up again. Norma asks Alcot if he's got what he was looking for, and then he tells them it's in a locker in the back. Norma tries to open it, but it's no use. Alcot opens it easily. He thanks the party and every heads back. Chloe stays where she is, though, and says she saw the tatoo. She's found that man. Once you're done, head back. When you get back, Alcot thanks them, and is about to head back when Chloe tells him she has to ask him something. Elsa is ill, though, and Alcot says it will have to wait. They leave, and Norma sees that Chloe is acting different. Head to Will's. They talk about Alcot, and wonder why he went to the Hidden Fortress. Jay mentions that he knew there were herbs there, and he knew just where to go. He also knew where it was, and how to get it. Senel also mentions that Alcot's technique is familiar, and he asks Chloe. She's not paying attention though, and Norma tries to get her attention with her usual stuff. Jay says that says that Alcot most likely was associated with Vaclav, and Norma says she owes him, so she doesn't want to accuse him with anything unatural. Moses also says he doesn't seem bad, and Shirley says that he cares about Elsa, a lot. Jay says they should be careful, then Jay, Norma, Moses, Grune, and Chloe leave. Shirley wonders whats wrong with Chloe and Senel mentions Alcot's tattoo. Will says that if it is the guy that Chloe has been looking for, then it's bound to be Stingle. They agree to help Chloe. Meanwhile, Chloe is in town. She says she thought her hatred and revenge overtime, but she hasn't forgotten what she's gone through. Flashback time. You hear people talking about what's happened to the Valens Family, that they were killed by a bandit, leaving their only daughter behind, and she's only 12. They are awed, and they begin to wonder what will happen to the House of Valens. While they are excitied to see what happens, Chloe vows she'll carry on her name. After the Flashback, Shirley comes into Senel's house and tells him that Chloe hasn't gone home. Go to the grabeyad, and you'll see Chloe. She says she her urge for revenge had dissappeared, but he had to come. She says if she hadn't have found out, then she would have lived on solemnly. She also says she can't contain her hatred. Suddenly, a bandit appears and tells her that she shouldn't be out alone, and he wants her valuables. She then remembers the bandit who killed her parents, and he said the "same" thing. She tells him if he values his life he should leave, but he tries to attack her. Chloe hits him down and he starts to beg her to sprae him, but Chloe draws her sword and black mist covers her, while he's terrified. Senel stops her, and the mist disappears. The bandit runs away. Chloe screams at him for stopping her, and Senel says that there was no reason to take his life. Chloe then tells him she has no patience for bandits. And then Senel mentions her latest change of behavior. He knows about Alcot and the tatoo, and Chloe said she knew that the day would come, and leaves. Senel and Shirley discuss Chloe's matter. The next day, Norma wakes you the hell up. Literally. You hurry up to the Hospital, and you see Elsa has grown worse. Chloe says she will get the ingredients that you need in order to heal her. Alcot heads for the Forest of No Return, as you head for the Earth Monument. Earth Monument Items: Syrup Bottle, Panacea Bottle, Red Sage Plant, Aloewood, Aifread's Flag, Fabric, Gaes Mantle, Yellow Ores As you enter, Will, will tell you what the monster is and what it looks like. Jay adds that Norma and Moses not cause a fiasco, since it's a peaceful breed. As you know, there aren't any enemies, and the layout is the same as before. But, why the heck wouldn't you know that, right? Grab the Panacea and Syrup Bottles and then keep going, until you reach the exit. Go on, and then they said they will have to go further, while Norma suggests using Giet. Moses knew she was going to do something like that, so he didn't bring him. Anyway, Grune of all people, says that Alcot is probably at the Forest of No Return by now. Chloe has another flashback... then head up. Boss time.. Boss: Tula Vault HP: 96649 Items: FOE1 Charm Since Will has water-based attacks, it'd be best to put him on your team, well mainly for Spread, but yeah. Anyway, he does a status effect, so put on your charm that prevents Panic, I forgot which. Anyway, they get what they need. Now leave and head to town. Werites Beacon Items: None Let me tell you right now, if you haven't used Senel at all, or not often, and used Chloe or Jay insead, you are SCREWED. :( Either that, or need some kind of friggin miracle. Of course, I used Senel, so yeah. Anyway, when they get back, Will recieves and letter and Chloe recieves one, from Harriet. They are both from Alcot. Chloe crumples hers, and everyone decides to wait for Alcot to return in the morning. Chloe goes off to the graveyard, and talks to herself... she knows the letter was a challenge, and she is unsure if she wants to go. Soon you'll be controling Senel. Head for the graveyard. It has started to rain, and Senel begins talking to Chloe. He asks her what was in the letter, (he's so damn nosy. :P) She tells him it doesn't reguard him, so don't ask. She said she has to get revenge, but she slowly forgot about it. Senel and Chloe discuss other stuff, and then Chloe draws her sword, she tells him she can't stand his kindness. (it's just love :( ) Then, well now you have to fight Chloe. Boss: Chloe HP: 60405 Thank god for your items. You're on your own here, that means no Norma to heal and no Chloe to help you, which is pretty damn ironic, since you're fighting her. She's hard, and I mean really hard. Make sure you have the right items equipped. Her stupid Sword Rain Alpha will piss you off, so block 'em, with Guardian. She won't be too much if you do that, she's still damn hard. After the battle, Senel tells Chloe to stop, but she stabs him. OMIGOD, BY THE WAY. Sure is a shocker. She tells him she has no place to return, after doing that to Senel. Senel begs her not to leave, but he faints. Later Shirley comes. After a whole bunch of disscussion, it's time to head for the... GASP.. FOREST OF NO RETURN. Better be prepared, :P Forest of No Return Items: Lure, Aloewood, Aloewood, Water Ores, Water Ores, Purple Ores, Yellow Ores, Yellow Ores After the scene, follow these directions. Left ~ Save Point Up ~ Yellow Ores Down Right ~ Yellow Ores Right Right ~ Aloewood Back Down Left Up Left Up Right ! Chaotic Zone Back Up ~ Butterflies Up - skip the first detour Right Right Up Left Down -Scene- Left Left ~ Refresher Left ~ Merchant Down ~ Purple Ores Right ~ Water Ores Right Right ~ Aloewood and Lure Back Down Left Down Left ~ Butterflies Down ~ Save Point and Refresher Down Left ~ Water Ores Back Down Left After disscussion, Chloe is about to kill Alcot, when Elsa picks the sword on the floor up, and draws it to Chloe. She will protect her father. Chloe is surrounded by black mist, when it turns into her old self. When she rejects her, the current Chloe turns into black mist, and well, you'll get Chloe back, so better add her in, then it's boss time. Boss: Dark Chloe HP: 66226 Items: Water Ores Why does Chloe get to be hard? :( She's impossible to hit down, which would give you a chance to throw her. DO NOT LET HER GET NEAR YOUR REAR CHARACTERS, MAINLY NORMA, or else they will die. She's very annoying so only let Norma do Revive and Ressurection. If you want attack up, don't waste your time making Norma do Rally; use a Flare Bottle. Ending Senel tells Chloe she's done enough, that she can rest and be happy. He tells her it's ok, and Chloe says if anyone else told her that, she would drop into their arms and cry, but not Senel. Cutscene time Chloe asks Senel if she can lean on his back, and she does. She cries while Senel tells her the rain feels good. Everyone ponders what will happen to Chloe, and when she arrives, she tells them she's leavin ang she causes to much trouble. Shirley comes up. SLAP. Anyway, she slaps Chloe, and explains that how everyone would feel, and everything. Chloe asks if it's ok, and Norma says its the wrong thing to say. Chloe says she wants to say, and Norma says yes, then Chloe starts crying. Norma gets amused, and Chloe gets a little ticked, since Norma's never seen Chloe cry before. Chloe says she's finally found her place. A place she can call home. Awww, how sweet. Anyway, you'll save. Ugh.. I'll stop descriptions from here, but let me just sum it up: Chloe and Shirley meet at the fountain where they discuss their relationship with Senel. When they head to the hospital, they see that stupid old dude again. Grune gets Volt. Then, Csaba arrives. He tells Moses that they've been attacked at the Misty Mountains, and everyone thinks Giet may have gone wild.. (that's sounds pretty lame).. anyway.. so begins, Moses: Of Man and Beast. ------------------------------------------------------------ Moses: Of Man and Beast ------------------------------------------------------------ Make sure that you've restocked, then head out. After the scene, head in the Misty Mountains. Misty Mountains Items: Charm Bottle, Flan, Lure, Reflect Ring, Aloewood, Black Ores, Yellow Ores After the scene, head up and around, and keep going until you get to the save point. There's nothing really new here, just a bunch of treasures that you can find quite easily. It seems Csaba and the rest think that Giet's becoming wild, but Moses will do what it takes to prove they're wrong. He doesn't want them to believe that, since he got along so well with Giet. In the last area, you'll be attacked, and it's boss time. Boss: Sphinx HP: 90000 Items: Elven Boots This guy's in the air, so he's gonna be annoying as hell for Senel. Use Senel's air-type attacks, like Dragon Blast. Anyway, this guy is pretty easy with your casters and stuff. ****MORE TO COME SOON**** ---------------------------------------------------- 6) Extras ---------------------------------------------------- In the game, there are actually many extras, before you beat it and after you beat it. ---------------------------------------------------- Grade ---------------------------------------------------- At the ending of the game, you will have options from the grade you've collected or gained over time with many battles. It's REALLY getting annoying, as of now, so I shall answer them before you go on and ask these questions. Q: Is this game 2 players? A: No, sorry. Q: WHY!? A: Considering that Tales of Legendia was made by the creators of Soul Calibur, unlike past Tales games, such as Eternia and Symphonia, this one has no multiplayer. :( Q: What are the characters you always use? A: Senel, Norma, Chloe, and Jay. In that order. Q: Why isn't this game for the Gamecube!? A: Because, Tales wasn't even originally FOR the Gamecube in the first place. Q: But Tales of Symphonia was for the Gamecube!! A: Yes, but it is also for the Playstation 2. The Gamecube version in Japan sold horribly, so they re-did it, with more features and better graphics, ect. Q: But it sold great in America!! A: Yes, but that's America. Namco takes more in count sales of Japan, not America. Q: Is this game like Tales of Symphonia? A: This is the question I see pop-up all the time. No, it isn't. Even the battle system is different, and the characters aren't the same, so don't even bother asking. Q: I can't throw!! How do I throw with Senel!? A: You have to knock down the enemy with an attack, or let one of your party members knock it down. It also depends on the weight, since the throws you have involve the weight of the monster. Q: How do you find out the weight? A: Use a Magic Lens. Q: How do I knock down an enemy? A: Well, it solely depends on your party members' attacks. Senel himself can knock the enemy down with Impact, Beast, Beast Impact, Phoenix Strike, Dragon Strike. That's all I have listed. Q: What's the song for the original Japanese Intro? A: Tao by Do As Infinity. Q: Are the Intro scenes any different from the American version of ToL? A: No. Q: Are the Character Quests, sidequests? A: No, they are the SECOND HALF, of the game. They ARE part of the main story. If you have anymore questions email me, or if I find any questions worth talking about, I will add them here. Q: Do Chloe and Senel ever get together? I hate Shirley!! A: Frankly, I don't give a damn about couples in this game. My favorite character is Norma, and I don't care about Chloe, and I don't even like Senel that much, so I don't care about pairings in this game. Senel and Chloe have a closer relationship than most of other characters, with each other. Both seem to be connected, in combat as well as understanding, so it wouldn't be suprising if they kiss or something. But, no, they do not get together in the game. Oh, and I don't care if you hate Shirley, I don't like her either, but it seems Senel decided to -be- with her, and they DID get blessings, but it isn't official, for Senel, anyway. ---------------------------------------------------- 7) Credits ---------------------------------------------------- These are the people I thank for inspiring or helped me make this FAQ, as well as publish it into a firm guide.
