Mondo works for Bryan Execution Firm and hunts down dangerous criminals and assassins from around the world. Armed with his trusty sword called "Gekkou" and his cybernetic left arm called "Musselback", Mondo eliminates evil for the right price. This guide has a complete main walkthrough and I will be adding information about the side missions and fixing this guide up extensively within the next week. As always, you can email me at my email address berserker_kev@yahoo.com if you have any questions, suggestions or comments. - Berserker (BK) _______________________________________________________________________________ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ BASICS _______________________________________________________________________________ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ [BA00] Playstation 3 Controls ---------------------- .------------------------------------------------. | Square | Sword attack | | /\ | Guard break | | O | Guard/Dodge | | X | Interact | | R1 | Adrenaline burst/fire (L1 + R1) | | L1 | Aim subweapon | | R2 | Switch subweapon | | L2 | Heal (buy special ability) | | L3 | N/A | | R3 | Reset camera/crouch (L1 + R3) | | Start | Pause menu/Skip cutscene | | Select | Item menu | | Left Analog | Move character | | Right Analog | Rotate camera | | D-pad | Select menu option | '------------------------------------------------' Subweapons ---------- Mondo's left arm (Musselback) can be changed in many different subweapons that can be used for the price of blood. The default weapon is a gun. By holding the aiming button (L1) and then pressing and holding the fire button (R1), Mondo can shoot a long range blast of shots from his left arm. The left arm can morph into the other subweapons by tapping the R2 button. **Subweapons besides the gun are unlocked by completing Gigolo missions.** Bullet Shot ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ Bullet Shot is the standard mode for Musselback. When in Bullet shot mode, tap and hold the R1 button while aiming to shoot bullets rapidly. If Mondo shoots an enemy in the head, he will kill that enemy instantly - this is best used for Gun Wires that actually stand still. The Bullet Shot is the only weapon that can be shot without the need of blood, but it requires blood in order to shoot it rapidly. With no blood, it's only single shot. Drill ŻŻŻŻŻ The Drill is a drill arm that can break through weak walls (that have a crack on them) and it can also break through enemy shields. Aim then press and hold R1 while the drill hand is ready to use this. Freeze Shooter ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ The Freeze Shooter will freeze an enemy slighter to where it's movement speed will be greatly reduced for a few seconds. Charge Cannon ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ The Charge Cannon must be charged by pressing and holding R1. Wait for the indicator to show a full charge (represented by a solid color on the targeting cursor). Once a full charge has been reached, let go of the button to unleash a blast that will stun the enemy and take off a great deal of damage. When this gun mode is at full level, it can take off some major damage, which makes it useful for enemies with more health in later stages. Guard Break ----------- When an enemy guards, that guard can be broken by hitting the enemy multiple times with the melee button (triangle). Mondo will perform a series of punches with his left arm when tapping the button and the final hit will break the enemy's guard. An upgrade can be bought for the melee attack where Mondo can charge the attack. Guard/Dodge ----------- Hold down on the block button to guard an attack with Mondo's left arm. Not all attacks can be guarded against. Mondo can dash to the side by tapping in a direction while holding the block button. If you press the block button just as the enemy attacks, Mondo will perform a parry that where he will grab the enemy and knock the enemy away or to the ground. Burst Rush ---------- A Burst Rush is activated when Mondo dodges an enemy attack at the last possible second. During this period, the screen will turn red and time will stop and only allow Mondo to move and attack. Tap the sword attack button at that time to slash the enemy that Mondo dodged several times. This unique is extremely good for dealing out some massive damage on enemies and bosses. In order to perform this, you really have to know an enemy's attack well... or get lucky by tapping the block button while trying to activate it. Combos ------ The combo is to the right and it will go up per attack that Mondo gets on his enemies. The higher the combo gauge, the more blood that Mondo will get from attacking enemies. Once Mondo reaches max combo level, shown by the bar below the numbers (usually around 25 hits), he will open a "Final Judgment" menu when the current enemy is almost killed off. The menu will display the four face buttons and allow players to decide how to kill off the enemy as well as what type of items the enemy will drop as shown in the table below. .--------------------------------. | Square button | Moon Crystal | | X button | Wire Synapse | | Triangle button | Health Gem | | Circle button | Bloody Rose | '--------------------------------' Adrenaline Burst ---------------- Adrenaline Burst can be activated by pressing and holding the R1 button. By pressing the sword attack button while in this mode, Mondo will attack a nearby enemy that with a slice that will instantly kill most normal enemies. Stronger enemies and boss enemies require that Mondo weaken them greatly until a command prompt appears for them to be finished off with this move. This mode continually drains blood from Mondo and it takes one full meter of blood in order to kill off each enemy. Office ------ Mondo can enter the office at any time from the mission select screen by pressing the Circle button or he can enter the office from the pause menu during an episode. From here he can access many different options including Status & Upgrades, the Gift Shop, Tips, Game Options, any costumes that he has gained and the game leaderboards. **Enter the Office if you ever want to equip or unequip Costumes.** Items ----- After defeating enemies or breaking open breakable objects, Mondo will have a chance to gather items. The items all have various effects and it's a good idea to familiarize yourself with them if you want to know which are the most valuable for certain situations. .-----------------------------------------------------------------------------. | Moon Crystals (yellow) | These crystals give Mondo the ability to upgrade | | | his skills | |-----------------------------------------------------------------------------| | Wire Synapses (spring) | These coiled springs restore Mondo's health | |-----------------------------------------------------------------------------| | Wire Cores (purple ball) | These purple hearts restore Mondo's blood | |-----------------------------------------------------------------------------| | Health Gems (blue gems) | These gems upgrade Mondo's health gauge | |-----------------------------------------------------------------------------| | Bloody Rose (red rose) | These roses upgrade Mondo's blood gauge | '-----------------------------------------------------------------------------' Status & Upgrades ----------------- Mondo's current health and blood gauge can be leveled up by collecting Health Gems and Bloody Rose's respectively. The status of these can be shown by choosing the Status & Upgrades menu from the pause menu or in the Office. Upgrades are on the side tab of the Status & Upgrades display. These show the various upgrades that Mondo can purchase with acquired Moon Crystals. Mondo can buy/upgrade attack skills, Sub-weapon skills and special skills. _______________________________________________________________________________ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ WALKTHROUGH _______________________________________________________________________________ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ [WT00] =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- TIPS o Make sure to stay stocked up on Mika tickets. They can be bought from the gift shop for $100,000. These will allow Mondo to be revived after being knocked out. o Play Gigolo missions early and play them often. If you don't keep in check with the women in the missions (besides Charlotte), they will contact Mondo throughout the missions demanding service. Seriously. o Get the Drill subweapon when the Gigolo missions (Mondo's Girls) first become available. The first Gigolo mission will award Mondo with this weapon for completion of the mission. This weapon will help to unlock hidden areas in episode 3 and other episodes afterwards. o Be sure to get the Charge Shot subweapon by episode 7 since Mondo will have to start fighting many bigger enemies by then. The Charge Shot takes some heavy damage from bigger enemies such as Ogre Wires. At max level, it will often kill them or weaken them to where one more hit will kill them. o Use Adrenaline Burst rush slash (hold R1 then slash) to kill off smaller enemies that block a lot. The slash can instantly kill them and save you the trouble of having to constantly break their block. Keep in mind that the move requires a least one block of blood in the blood gauge. o Some of the best skills to buy from the start are Healing (healing with blood) and Guard Crush (charged guard break). Auto Cure can be a good skill if you have patience. It's best to level up Healing all the way to level 3. At the highest level, it restores health FAST with only a little bit of blood needed. O The Counter Smash upgrade is a great way to knock powerful enemies into the air to where they can be juggled without the ability to block. The Guard Crush is good for instantly breaking a guard on an enemy - this works well for bosses. Also, keep in mind that when an enemy starts to guard, you can simply rush behind that enemy and hit the enemy from behind. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= [WT01] _____________________________________________________________________ Episode 1 ---------------------------------------------------- The Man Who Chose the Moon Target: Tokio This first episode is super easy and you actually can't fail it unless you simply don't move. Mondo will start in an alley with the target up ahead of him. The target will open fire immediately. Notice how Mondo simply deflects every bullet with his sword. Yes, you are invincible basically on this mission. Simply follow the man as he runs through the alley up ahead. Mondo can only walk during the episode. Just follow the target with the usual "I'm the Juggernaut, bitch" slow walk. A cutscene will activate once Mondo reaches a clearing. During the cutscene, prepare to hold the Adrenaline Burst (R1) button when prompted and release it when prompted. KILLER IS DEAD, BITCH! [WT02] _____________________________________________________________________ Episode 2 ---------------------------------------------------------------- KILLER IS DEAD Target: Damon Episode 2 is more of a tutorial episode than anything else. I'll go ahead and humor you and go over everything here. Mondo will start out in a hotel corridor with two black enemies that will dash toward him. These enemies are known as "Wires". These particular Wires carry a glowing mace, so I'll them Mace Wires. Attack the Wires with the sword attack button (square). They will drop some items that Mondo can collect to build up his blood meter or health meter. Once the first set is defeated, three more Wires will bust through a door further ahead. Kill them off the same way. Be sure to use the block button (circle) to both block their attack and dodge their attacks. Tap in a direction along with the block button to dodge. Time a dodge perfectly just before an attack and Mondo will enter a dodge burst (time will slow). During the bust, slash the Wire with the attack button to gain extra hits. Pretty nifty, eh? Press the block button just before an attack and Mondo will counter the attack with a grab. Try to get a combo over 25 slashes as shown by the combo meter on the right side of the screen and Mondo will be able to perform finishing moves. A menu with all face buttons will appear on the screen - press one of the face buttons for a different type of finisher. Basically, the longer you keep up a combo, the more insane the carnage will get! So let's go Berserk here like Guts and paint the whole freaking hallway red. Griffith! Oh, wait, that's another guide... The door at the end of the hall will open once the second group is defeated, so go inside the next corridor. Yep, more Mace Wires! Get to work on tearing their ass up and a cutscene will play. After the cutscene, get ready to mash the hell out of that sword attack button - I actually left the room to answer the phone during this button mash sequence and still won! A cutscene will play after taking all of Damon's health. The next cutscene will end the episode. [WT03] _____________________________________________________________________ Episode 3 --------------------------------------------------------------- A WOMAN OF PAIN Target: Alice This episode truly shows off how strange this game can get. The porcelain cat near the left wall can be broken with a sword slash - be sure to break these open for extra items. Some of them might actually hold Scarlett. Hold on, a what? Yeah, Scarlett is this woman that hides inside of environmental objects and wait for Mondo to find her. Scarlett's first appearance is actually at the top of the stairs, so move up the stairs and talk to her! This is the very first time that Mondo will meet **SCARLETT (01/20)**. Aside from giving Mondo all of his blood back (full blood gauge recharge), finding Scarlett will unlock extra mission the first time she is found in each area. To move along with the mission, go back down the stairs and move through the door down the corridor to the side of the stairs. Walk up to the woman on the chair for a cutscene. Be sure to smash the porcelain cat in the dark room after the cutscene then run into the lit up room through the only open doorway. Jesus, look at all the stairs! Hold the L1 button then shoot with the R1 button to shoot the porcelain cats on the walls of the room. Presents (w/bows) can be sliced open to find extra items also. A door will open to the left of where Mondo starts in the room. It's the only way to go, so run into the room behind the door. Mace Wires are on the ceiling. Defeat the Mace Wires as they fall. One will fall first then they will fall in groups of two for three more waves. A ++CUPCAKE++ will appear on the floor. Pick up the cupcake then the door to the room will reopen. Run back outside and give the Cupcake to Alice's sister in the middle of the room. The room will change around and a new door will open. The open door is up the stairs to the right of Alice's sister. Smash the porcelain cats near the entrance to the room once inside to get some extra powerups. Good god, an outside room, inside? A new enemy that I call a "Claw Wire" will fall from the ceiling and attack. This enemy will actually block unlike the enemies you have faced thus far. To break his guard, hit him with the melee button (triangle) several times in a row. Be sure to block or parry his attacks, since he can actually hit Mondo while Mondo swings with his sword. When the Adrenaline burst icon appears over him, hold the adrenaline burst button (R1) and then slash the Wire with a sword slash to finish it off. Unlike normal Wires, this one must be weakened before it can be killed off with a finishing attack. Collect the items that it drops then collect the ++FLOWERS++ as they bloom from the middle portion of the ground. Run back into the center room and give the flowers to Alice's sister. A new room will open in front of Alice's sister. Run into the new room. Mika-chan!? What the hell are you doing here? There are four lamps on the surrounding walls that are on top of deer head plaques. Aim at them with the aiming button (L1), then shoot each one. This puzzle is timed, so shoot them all quickly. Two are on the wall in front of Mika and two are on the wall behind Mika. Hit the head of the deer - not the actual candle. A hollow portion of the wall will be revealed afterwards. Get up near the opening and press the melee button (Triangle) to punch through the wall. Pick up the ++MUSIC BOX++ in the middle of the room. Run back into the prior room and the door in the room will be unlocked once again. Where the hell did Mika go? Anyway, return to the middle area and give the music box to that twisted sister - I mean, fight off the five Mace Wires that attack. Be sure to pain the room as the combo rises to 25 and Mondo is able to perform finishers. Alice's sisters will fall and float down from the top floor after the fight. Nice trick there! Give her the music box. Damn, that monotone "Thank you" gets creepier every time. Piano keys will form a staircase that leads up to a door in front of Alice's sister. Before leaving the room, find the heart on the floor across from the piano keys that form stairs. Stand on that heart for a few seconds and it will rise into the air and take you to a staircase up above. **SCARLETT (02/20)** is at the top of that staircase. This is one of her best hiding spots in the game. Move up the piano stairs then open the door. Ah, so many cats to destroy. Be sure to destroy them all since the last one (fourth on the left) holds **SCARLETT (03/20)**. Open the door at the end of the hall then step inside the next room to trigger a cutscene. BOSS BATTLE: Alice -------------------- From the start of the battle, run up Alice's front half and start slashing with the sword attack button. Dodge to the right or left to avoid her ground pound and arm attacks. If you're lucky enough or have just the right timing, Mondo will dodge her attack and then enter Burst Rush mode where he can slash at her continuously. If you can get a Burst Rush often on this boss, her health bar will drain fast! TIP: Alice's arm attacks can be blocked and her arm will stick into the ground is dodged without a Burst Rush. Eventually Alice will climb one of the nearby walls. She will fire down a purple projectile while on the ceiling. Keep moving to avoid her attacks then wait for her to stop along the wall then aim at her and fire off Mondo's gun rapidly (hold down the button) to make her fall. When she falls, she will be laid out on her back and will be stunned. Run up to her and slash her with sword attacks. She will keep repeating the pattern of ground attacks and wall attacks for her first life bar. When the R1 icon appears on her, hit her with an Adrenaline Burst slash to slice off one of her front arms. Her life gauge will replenish and the fight will carry on while she only has one front arm. The second fight is no different from the first. Try to get a Burst Rush by dodging her arm attack at the last possible second to really bring her health down fast. Shoot her when she stops on a wall to knock her down then slash her. Overall, just slash and dodge the best you can. Perform another Adrenaline Burst slash when the command appears over her to slice off her other arm. Another head will surface once the final arm has been sliced off. The third phase of the battle is much like all the other phases. She will attack from the ground then run up to the ceiling. While she is up on the ceiling, she will use her tails to shoot out small spiders that will attack Mondo. Hit the small spiders two times to kill them off - they can be quite aggressive, so be sure to finish them off quickly. It's really best to shoot Alice while she sends out the small spiders though - Mondo can knock her off the ceiling by shooting her at that time and stun her while she remains on her back. The Adrenaline Burst command will appear once more time once she is low. Use an Adrenaline Burst slash to finish her off at that point and trigger the ending cutscene for this episode. Prepare to hold the Adrenaline Rush button then let go of it during the cutscene. [WT04] _____________________________________________________________________ Episode 4 ---------------------------------------------------- THE MAN WHO STOLE THE MOON NOTE: Be sure to buy some Mika tickets from the gift shop if you don't have at least three of them before starting this mission. The boss for this mission is much harder than Alice from the last mission. Also, if you haven't already, be sure to play the Gigolo side missions and acquire the drill subweapon to access a hidden area for this episode and other episodes that follow. Target: David Wow, some people are lucky enough to have mansions on the moon in this crazy game. Nice. Mondo will start outside the mansion. He can only walk at this point, so through the front doors of the mansion up ahead. The Mace Wires will attack after the front doors close. Try to work up a combo over 25 then start finishing them off with execution slashes. Use sword attacks to break all the big green vases on the first floor and the second floor - the second floor has two near the balcony. The balcony overlooks the main area that Mondo needs to get to - so ironic. Find the open door on the left side of the first floor (under the stairs) then move along the corridor behind it. Two Shield Wires are blocking the door at the end of the corridor. All you have to do is get in the back of them and attack them with sword slashes from the back. They are basically helpless when hitting them from the back since they have a tough time turning. Mondo can counter their attacks and hit them shortly after they attack (while their body is exposed) as well. If you have gotten the Drill subweapon from a Gigolo mission then that subweapon will break their shield. I only recommend breaking their shield when they are in groups of Mace Wires however, since they will be more of an annoyance by not being able to group them into sword attacks well at that time. By themselves, they are not that much of a hassle, so just get in the back of them and wail away with constant slashes! The doors at the end of the hall will open once the two Shield Wires are killed off. Enter the new room. While moving around the room, two Mace Wires will attack. Kill them off and then three Club Wires will fall from the ceiling and attack. The Club Wires are much like the Claw Wire from the last chapter in the way they will guard Mondo's attacks, but they are not as powerful. Use melee attacks (triangle) to knock them out of their guard stances. They are susceptible to an Adrenaline Burst attack instantly, so they can be killed instantly. The painting on the wall will form a scene of a corridor. Break all the vases around the room and collect all the items then stand in front of the painting to get an interact command. Press the button to enter the painting and go to another part of the mansion. Break the two vases that cover the wall off to the left then hit the weak wall with Mondo's drill attack if you have the drill weapon. Enter the space behind the wall to find **SCARLETT (04/20)**. Run to the top of the stairs. Ignore the corridor at the top for the moment and break the green vase to the right. Press the button on the control panel behind the vase to open a door on the floor below. Move back down the stairs then enter the blue room. There are several breakable green vases inside. Break the vase on the far right, closest to the door to find **SCARLETT (05/20)** once again. Return to the room with the stairs then move up the stairs and go through the corridor then into the next room on the top floor. A new enemy will be shown via the camera as it zooms toward it. This is an Eye Wire and these things can be super annoying if Mondo doesn't kill them quickly. They serve as a Bomb Wire spawner. They will constantly spawn Bomb Wires that look like a starfish with a single eye. Bomb Wires can be killed off with several slashes to any part of their body and they can be made to explode by hitting them with melee attack. Bomb Wires will move throughout the room and target Mondo then fire a laser blast at him. The first time you see an Eye Wire in a room, immediately aim at it with the gun arm and shoot it rapidly to kill it off. It will most likely spawn at least one Bomb Wire. Once the Bomb Wire is killed off, a Claw Wire will hop through the painting in the back of the room. The Claw Wire is no different from the one in the third episode. Weaken the creature then kill it off with an Adrenaline Burst slash when the prompt appear. Rush through the back corridor when the door opens after killing off the Claw Wire. Break all the vases in the office room then enter the next corridor. Mondo will reenter the foyer of the mansion. The painting on the left side of the first floor will form a portal and a Sickle Wire will hop through it. Two Club Wires will attack Mondo from the second floor and the Sickle Wire will join them soon enough. All of these enemies can block, so get ready to hit them with melee or move on to another enemy if one ever does try to guard. The Sickle Wires are much like the Club Wires only they are more aggressive and obviously they have a different weapon. Use the portal on the first floor to get to the next area. Three Club Wires will attack on the second floor area that Mondo leaps out to. Kill them off then break all the vases around the corridor and enter the next room. There are a few vases to break in the dining room that Mondo arrives in as well. Run over to the control panel beside the next set of doors and activate it to open the doors and trigger a portal on the painting on the other side of the foyer. Follow the corridor on the other side of the open doors and it will lead Mondo back to the foyer. Run back down to the first floor and enter the new portal on the right side of the bottom portion of the foyer. Two Sickle Wires and a Claw Wire will attack in the piano room on the other side of the painting. This is where the Sickle Wires can get a bit annoying. You will notice while fighting them here that they are pretty aggressive. Pick one enemy and slash that enemy then get ready to hit the block button when any other enemy tries to attack. It's really best to focus on the Sickle Wires first then weaken the Claw Wire and kill it. David will speak to Mondo once again and then the double doors in the back of the room will open and the painting in the top floor painting in the foyer outside of the room will open a portal. There are two vases in the piano room, so be sure to break them. Follow the corridor behind the open door and break all the vases in the sitting room then run into the next corridor. Mondo will be attacked by Bomb Wires as the doors seal off in the next room. Wait for them to shoot their laser then slash them from behind or hit them with a melee attack over and over until they shake then get away from them as they explode. It's best to slash them since they will drop items once they die by killing them off with the blade. The door in the back of the room will open. Follow the next corridor back to the entrance foyer. Notice that when Mondo enters the foyer, the sound of Charlotte appearing can be heard. To find her again, run up the stairs to the second floor and **CHARLOTTE (06/20)** will be in front of the balcony that overlooks the courtyard. Run back down the stairs then use the painting on the right side of the bottom floor to teleport to the courtyard. Three Club Wires will teleport into the courtyard and attack Mondo. Kill them off and two Sickle Wires will teleport into the area along with Bomb Wires. The Bomb Wires can get very annoying during the fight with the Sickle Wires since they will constantly try to hit Mondo with their eyebeams. It's best to NOT constantly slash the Sickle Wires since Mondo runs the risk of getting hit by a Bomb Wire eyebeam. Try to always keep the Bomb Wires in the camera angle so you know which way they are about to shoot an eyebeam. Hit the Bomb Wires with a few melee attacks to make them shake and then explode to quickly kill them off. If the Sickle Wires are near the Bomb Wires, they will get take damage from the explosion. David will speak and then a cutscene will take place after the battle. BOSS BATTLE: David -------------------- David is definitely a harder boss than Alice but you can get used to him after a while. It's good to have Mika tickets on your first time through this battle. The main part hard part about David is that Mondo needs to dodge one of physical attacks at the last second so he can perform a Burst Rush and then slice David multiple times. A Burst Rush is HEAVILY needed during this battle or else Mondo will only take off a small amount of damage and have to constantly dodge David's attacks. There will be a few green vases scattered around the courtyard during this fight, and they are filled with blood and health pickups, so be sure to conserve them and break them open when necessary. --> Phase 1: From long range, David will swing his sword and make an energy wave to hit Mondo from long range. This can be easily avoided by simply moving to the side. From close range, David will try to attack Mondo with a series of blade strike in a combination. The close range attacks should be dodged with the block button to where Mondo enters a Burst Rush. At mid-range, David will gather energy around him and then suddenly charge at Mondo with a sword thrust. This move can be dodged to where Mondo can get a Burst Rush and isn't too hard to Burst Rush off of, so keep this in mind. While in Burst Rush mode, slice David multiple times to really put the hurt on him. If Mondo stays in close and tries to hit David during while trying to dodge his attacks without activating the Burst Rush, he will be taking quite a bit of damage or either dodging so much that he will only be able to attack a few times in between dodges. The ONLY time you should hit David with a sword slash is if Mondo parries him with a grab attack instead of a performing a Burst Rush - David will guard shortly afterwards. Once David's health gauge is lowered all the way, both him and Mondo will start to swing their swords at each other - be ready to rapidly tap the sword attack button at this point. Hit David with an Adrenaline Rush slash as the command appears after the rapid slashes. TIP: Both button mash sequences during this battle can be tough, so you might want to lay down the controller and tap the button with your index finger. It helps a lot! --> Phase 2: David will get up for the second phase of the fight shortly. David will use a more powerful version of wave slash from a distance during the second battle - he will send out three waves instead of one, so move to the side even more to dodge him. He will still do his close range attack that can still be dodged the same. One new attack that he gains is an attack where he will surround himself with a purple glow and then quickly disappear and reappear above Mondo. While in the air above Mondo, David will fall with a downward thrust - this attack is almost instantaneous once David teleports, so it is hard to avoid. Mondo has to dash away THE MOMENT that David is about to fall in order to dodge this. Mondo can gain a Burst Rush off of this attack. The best way to time this move is to dodge to the side right after David laughs or taunts when he charges this teleport attack. The timing is very tricky. Try to gain a Burst Rush off any of David's moves then slash him to weaken him just like in the first phase of the battle. Once again, Mondo will get in a sword battle with David in which the sword attack button must be pressed rapidly. Finish David off with an Adrenaline Rush when the command appears above him once his health has been taken down all the way. [WT05] _____________________________________________________________________ Episode 5 ----------------------------------------------------------- SHE WHO EATS DREAMS Target: Unknown Mondo will start out in a dream sequence in this episode. Follow the narrow path that is stretched out through the water up ahead. Mondo can only walk for the time being. A cutscene will trigger eventually. After the cutscene, continue to follow the path. Pieces of the path will form to help Mondo across the water as he continues to move on ahead. Mondo will eventually reach an island. Walk to the other side of the island and tables and a door will start to form along the extension up ahead past the big rock. Move toward the door for a cutscene. After the cutscene, the objects will disappear. Turn around and walk back onto the island then move toward the purple smoke emanating from the figure off to the right. The figure will shatter into red particles once Mondo gets within range of it. Another path will appear in segments from behind where it was. Once again, follow the path as it appears. The path will disappear behind Mondo as a new path appears this time. Mondo will reach a green island with a tree that has pink leaves on it. There are some figures below the tree. Move toward them to trigger a cutscene. Following the cutscene, walk to the opposite end of the island and follow the new path. The island will disappear behind Mondo. The camera will eventually change to show the next island that Mondo is headed toward. What in the world is up with the moon? A cutscene will activate once Mondo walks further onto the island. BOSS BATTLE: Unknown ---------------------- The woman from the cutscene will attack after the cutscene. Unknown takes the form of four figures in red robes. This enemy can be damaged by hitting any of the robed figures and killing them off - Mondo must hit each robed figure enough to where it falls in order to deal damage to this boss. The robed figures will constantly respawn throughout this battle. This boss has no actual physical attack, so Mondo can't activate a Burst Rush on Unknown. The robed figures will often fly around and show themselves, but they can turn transparent in order to blend in with the background. Try as much as you can to keep ALL robed figures on the screen at one time since they will charge a laser beam and fire out a red laser toward Mondo - this laser reaches full screen! If they ever meet up in the middle of the island and put their powers together they are not about to summon earth's greatest champion. Oh no, they are about to form a triangle with red energy. This triangle will pull Mondo toward it and it will damage him if he touches it. Whenever the figures meet up in the middle of the island, quickly pick one and slash it continuously to stop this attack. To weaken Unknown, pick one figure and slash it. BE SURE to try to keep all figures on the screen or circle the camera constantly to make sure that one isn't about to hit Mondo with a laser beam from a distance - they can SO easily sneak this attack in from off-screen. If you ever see a figure starting to charge its beam attack, run behind it and slash it. If Mondo strikes a figure that isn't doing anything, he sword is likely to phase in and out of it more than actually hit it, so attacking each one while it is performing a beam attack is the best way to finish off this boss. The beam attacks can actually hit other robed figures and damage them - though this is more about luck, it is interesting. Whenever camera shows a first person view of a figure aiming at Mondo, quickly aim at it and blast it rapidly with Mondo's gun arm. Be sure to stop this attack instantly since the figure will constantly shoot fireballs at Mondo and it will be very hard to find all the other figures to tell what they are doing with that first person view. Shooting the figure with the current view will end that attack. The battle is longer than usual since Mondo can't activate a Burst Rush, but once the boss' life has been taken down all the way, all figures will fall and then one will raise back up and have a Adrenaline Burst command on it. Activate an Adrenaline Burst slash on the remaining figure to win the battle. [WT06] _____________________________________________________________________ Episode 6 ---------------------------------------------------- THE MAN WHO STOLE HER EARS Target: Victor Mondo will start outside the Sonic Cloud building entrance. A total of six Mace Wires will attack him. The enemies can be lead toward the circular cylinders and the cylinders can be shot to damage the Wires in the explosion. The cylinders can be shot to possibly get some extra items as well - keep this in mind. Enter the tunnel up ahead. The tunnel will seal off toward the end and a new Heavy Mace Wire will attack Mondo. This type of Mace Wire can block Mondo's attacks and it is more aggressive than the normal Mace Wire enemies that Mondo has fought so far. Heavy Mace Wires also have super armor attacks - meaning that they can continue to attack even while Mondo hits them (basically no stun animation during some attacks). Three Club Wires will attack after the Heavy Mace Wire falls. The tunnel will unseal once all Wires are defeated, so move on ahead afterwards. Two Heavy Mace Wires will spawn in the next room. Be careful about allowing them to group since they both have super armor attacks and they are both just as aggressive as the last Heavy Mace Wire. Enter the next corridor after the battle and the corridor will eventually get sealed off. Wires with guns will move out of the end of the corridor and three Club Wires will attack Mondo from behind. A new type of Drone enemy will hover toward Mondo from the side with the gun Wires. Be sure to immediately fire your gun at the Drone to destroy it quickly. Try to stay near the metal crates near Mondo to shield him from the enemy fire then fight off the Club Wires and try to kill them off quickly. You'll probably take some damage. Don't even try to shoot the Gun Wires just yet since the Club Wires will hit Mondo too much. Once the Club Wires are dead, focus on the Gun Wires. You don't have to hide behind a box then step out and fire at them. In order to crouch hold the aiming button (L1) then press the R3 button (click in on right analog). The gunfire cannot hit Mondo while he ducks! Move the camera toward each Gun Wire then blast it with rapid fire until it is destroyed then go back to ducking. Hiding behind the crates and then stepping out to fire will get Mondo hit more most of the time. Headshots will take a Gun Wire out instantly, but it's pretty hard to aim with how far they are away from Mondo. To get to the other side, look up toward the catwalk on the left side of the tunnel then shoot the glowing lights that help to hold it up. Shoot all eight of them to make the catwalk fall and make a bridge that Mondo can run across. There is a set of stairs on the other side of the catwalk that Mondo can use to get back down to the bottom floor. Several Club Wires, a few Gun Wires and two Drones will spawn on the other side of the tunnel. Vivienne will ride out on the top portion of the catwalk in the back of the tunnel and help out with some gunfire. She has a unique feature that she will show off here. She will blast all the enemies, but it's a good idea to shoot the two Drones yourself - they tend to attack Mondo very aggressively. Before going up the stairs, break open the crates up under the stairs. **SCARLETT (07/20)** is inside one of the crates. Run up the stairs to activate a small cutscene. A Claw Wire and two Drones will attack as the door up ahead opens. Immediately shoot the two Drones before they even have a chance to move much. The Claw Wire is no different than the rest of the Claw Wires that Mondo has faced in other stages. Collect the Claw Wire's head after performing an Adrenaline Burst slash to finish it off then use the head on the control panel scanner to the right of the next door to open it. Mondo is now in a circular tower. There are several control panels in this area that will open up new areas for him. Be sure to shoot all the explosive cylinders on the bottom floor of the new area and the floors above in order to get some extra items. Run around either side of the area and find the stairs in the back then run to the next floor. Two Explosive Drones will fly toward Mondo as he reaches the top of the stairs - quickly shoot the Drones before they have a chance to hit Mondo. Run across the bridge further ahead to get to the middle walkway. Two Shield Wires will attack. The monitors above the central circular area with doors can be shot to make them fall on the Shield Wires as they walk up under them - the enemies are slow enough to lead under them. Be sure to shoot the monitors from now on for possible extra items. Finish off the Shield Wires and then some Gun Wires will spawn around the side walkways and a set of two Mace Wires will move out from the doors in the central area. Kill off the Mace Wires first and two more Mace Wires will appear. Finish off the second set then focus aim on the Gun Wires. It's not too hard to remain moving while fighting the Mace Wires. When fighting the Gun Wires be sure to duck (Hold L1 then tap R3) and shoot at them then go back to ducking. They will move around a lot, so it will take more than one group of shots to finish them off. A Drone will hover toward the middle area and try to shoot Mondo, so be on the lookout for it. After all the enemies are destroyed, the control panel near the yellow gate off to the side will activate. Press the button on the control panel to rotate the middle walkway and make a bridge across to the outer walkway. Run across the bridge then move up the stairs to the right. The first door to the left can be opened via the control panel that is next to it, but there is nothing of interest inside. Run across the bridge off to the right and then use the control panel to the right of the other side of the bridge. The central area will rotate. There is no point to using the control panel on the other side of the bridge to open the door along the outer walkway wall since there is nothing special inside, so activate the control panel near the bridge once again to rotate the central area once again. Run to the other side of the bridge then activate the control panel near the door. Activate the control panel off to the right in the next room. The monitor in the back of the room will explode along with the rest of the wall and **CHARLOTTE (08/20)** will be revealed in a hidden room. Run back outside then move across the bridge once again to get on the center platform then activate the control panel near the bridge once again. The platform will rotate and form a bridge to the next outer edge. Run across the bridge then activate the control panel near the door on the other side to open it. Enter the control room with the big monitors behind the door then activate the console on the terminal to the left. This console will activate the bridges on the outside walkway. Follow the walkway to the exit door with green lights. Step into the stairway area. Before going up the stairs, break the crate in the dark area to the right to reveal **CHARLOTTE (09/20)** once again. Run up the stairs to the next floor then step into the next area. A Heavy Mace Wire will step through the middle set of doors and two Gun Drones will hover out from the two side corners of the room. Immediately destroy the Gun Drones with gunshots as usual then focus on the Heavy Mace Wire. Once the Heavy Mace Wire falls, a Claw Wire will step through the doors. Defeat the Claw Wire and collect its head after delivering the final blow. A scanner will be revealed in a secret area on the right side of the room. Use the head on the scanner to make the wall to the right move downward and reveal another room with... another freaking scanner! Jesus, I am tired of scanners. Anyway, run toward the scanner and activate it to ride up to the next floor. Step out into the room ahead. DON'T SHOOT any of the hanging monitors in the room - they will come in great handy for damaging an enemy in a moment. Step toward the elevator doors on the other side of the room and activate the scanner there to trigger a cutscene. The Ogre Wire will step out of the elevator and Mace Wires will join up with it and attack Mondo. The elevator that needs to be entered to leave this area will seal off for the moment. Run away from the Ogre Wire and concentrate on defeating the Mace Wires. The Mace Wires will attack in waves of two from the side doors. Kill them off until the elevator comes back down to your floor. Once the elevator door opens, Mondo can leave the floor and forget about the Ogre Wire. The Ogre Wire can be defeated and it isn't that hard at all. The handing monitors come in great handy for defeating this enemy. Simply lure the Ogre Wire under a monitor then shoot the monitor to make it drop on him. The explosion will damage him and knock off some of his armor. The Ogre Wire's attacks are very slow, but they are hard to get a Burst Rush off of, which is what you really need in order to defeat him quickly. The monitors can heavily damage the creature to where he isn't much of a problem to take out with normal sword slashes however. Whatever you decide, enter the open elevator to trigger a cutscene. Vivienne will talk to Mondo as the elevator rises. The elevator will go through some tremendous floor numbers before reaching the top. BOSS BATTLE: Victor --------------------- --> Phase 1: Victor is one of the harder bosses in the game because of one thing - Mondo cannot activate Burst Rush on him. Victor is best fought at close range for the first two phases of the boss fight with him. The battle will take longer than the usual boss battle since Mondo must rely on normal sword attacks in order to damage him. Stay close to Victor during the first fight. His basic close range attacks can be blocked, but his attacks that charged with purple aura cannot be blocked. When Victor raises an arm into the air, he will slam his arm to the ground in front of him and try to hit Mondo overhead - this ground pound move can be parried or dodged, but it can't be blocked. The timing for parrying it is not that difficult, so try for a parry. His arm will turn red just before it hits Mondo, so wait until then and parry the attack. If you press the button too early, Mondo will be able to block the attack. After parrying Victor's attack, the parry will stagger him for a few seconds. If you choose to dodge or block his attack, he can be hit during his slow recovery. Constantly hit him with sword attacks while Mondo is next to him. Whenever Victor surrounds himself with a purple aura, immediately dash away from him to avoid his projectile or charged side punch attack - these cannot be guarded from close range. If he holds an arm to the side then dash backwards since he is about to punch to the side and if he holds his head back then dash to the side since he is about to shoot a projectile to the ground in front of him. Victor will eventually block your attacks with both arms. When he does this, break his guard with your melee attacks if you have the charge punch. If Mondo does not have the charge punch, then don't try to break his attack since you can't - just back off. As usual, get ready to activate the Adrenaline Rush once his health is fully drained to enter the second phase of the battle - Mondo will chop off one of his arms. TIP: Victor can be stunned during this first phase. Keep constant pressure on him and he will slump over. Mondo can damage him with gunfire while at long range and this can help toward stunning him faster, so keep this in mind. --> Phase 2: The second part of the battle is quite different since Victor is much faster. During this phase of attack, he will climb up on top of the ceiling and perform a ground pound attack and he will constantly chase after Mondo and perform a punch when he gets close. He will sometimes charge a ram then suddenly dash toward Victor. During this part of the battle, Mondo can activate a Burst Rush during his ground attacks and that is what you should mainly try for her. Wait for him to rush toward Mondo then quickly dodge to the side to hopefully get a Burst Rush then slash him. Victor will sometimes run over to the wall that his decapitated arm is stuck in and try to pull it out. When he does this, follow behind him and attack him. When he stops to pull out the arm, lay into him with sword attacks and he will eventually stop. Do not let him pull out the arm or the battle will go back to the first phase when he had both arms and Mondo will have to cut off one of his arms again. Be sure to block his turning punch as he turns around from the wall after Mondo hits him enough to make him stop trying to fetch his arm. Adrenaline Rush slash him when the command appears over Victor when he is low in health. TIP: If you have problems hitting Victor after his attacks, wait for him to run over to the wall to try to pull his arm out of the wall. Mondo can get some serious damage on him then. --> Phase 3: Victor has no arms for this phase, so he won't be doing any physical attacks. The only attack that he will perform during this phase is a giant explosion attack. He will stand in place and charge the attack. While he charges the attack, run behind one of the surrounding speakers along the outer portion of the room and position Mondo behind it to avoid taking damage from the explosion. After avoiding his explosion attack, run toward him and hit him with sword attacks. Don't slash the speakers with a sword attack or it will destroy them and you'll lose your cover area. When Victor falls, activate Adrenaline Rush and then slash him. During the final cutscene, follow the on- screen QTE to finish off Victor. TIP: To keep Victor from moving while Mondo slashes him, run out from behind a speaker the SECOND that the explosion attack is over and then start to slash him. You have to be really quick. If Mondo has the forward stab move that will make him dash forward, this helps a great deal. [WT07] _____________________________________________________________________ Episode 7 -------------------------------------------- THE TIGER THAT FADED INTO DARKNESS Target: Hamada-Yama Follow the narrow path ahead of Mondo. Some sort of figure will appear in the trees to the right and then disappear. Keep following the path and something will jump across the path while moving through the trees. The door at the end of the path is locked. That raccoon ornament in front of the door looks out of place though. Attack the raccoon and... Three Ninja Wires will spawn and attack. These enemies are similar to fighting a Club Wire from close range. They will block and they will sometimes flip backwards while Mondo attacks them. Their guard can be broken like any other Wire. They cannot be instantly killed off with an Adrenaline Rush slash since they will dodge it. The unique part about the Ninja Wires is that they will jump away from Mondo and toss knives at him. The knives can be blocked or dodged. When they are at long range, especially when they are above the gate, fire at them with your gun arm. NOTE: Be sure to break the barrels near the gate and break any barrels you find in the next area since they might contain items. Pick up the scroll that appears in front of the gate after the battle. The scroll offers a challenge to Mondo. He must find five scrolls hidden throughout the area ahead. The doors will open. Vivienne will contact Mondo and tell him that whenever he is close to a scroll, his left arm will vibrate - it will start to glow. Mondo must find and shoot (or attack) raccoon ornaments that are hidden throughout the area to trigger a fight. Defeat the enemies in the fight to get the scroll. Samurai Wires will attack Mondo throughout this area. They are really no different from Club Wires other than they have some heavy defense because of their armor, so they will take more hits. They block very often, so be prepared to break their guard. The first Samurai Wire will spawn at the bridge. Scroll #1 The first scroll is under the bridge where Mondo first fights a Samurai Wire. Rush to the other side of the bridge and then look up under the bridge to see the raccoon ornament in the water below it - shoot the raccoon ornament. A Master Ninja Wire and two Samurai Wires will appear. The Master Ninja Wire in this group is much like a more aggressive Claw Wire. Try to keep all enemies in view while fighting them. The Master Ninja Wire is very aggressive and when he is not up on Mondo, he will eventually flip toward him. It's really a good idea to keep them all together while attacking them enough though some might guard. At least it will keep them getting behind Mondo. Pick up ++SCROLL 1++ after the battle. Scroll #2 While stepping away from the other side of the bridge where Scroll 1 was found, take the right path and follow it up the hill then make a right and run across the bridge. There is a big bush in front of Mondo while on the other side of the bridge and his arm should blink when near it. Attack the bush to reveal a raccoon ornament. A Master Ninja Wire and a Eye Wire will attack. Try to dodge the Ninja Wire as best as possible and focus gunfire on the Eye Wire to keep it from releasing several Bomb Wires throughout the area. Once the Eye Wire is killed off, the Master Ninja Wire shouldn't be too much of a problem. Collect ++SCROLL 2++ after the battle. While in the area where Scroll 2 is found, one of Scarlett's super random locations is nearby. Stand in the middle of the bridge and find the waterfall off to the right. There is a Bomb Wire (eyeball wire) up above that waterfall. Blast the Bomb Wire while standing on the bridge and it will knock over a tree that will stop the flow of water. **CHARLOTTE (10/20)** will be revealed in the cave behind the waterfall. To get over to her, make your way to the rock bridge that is nearby and walk along the stone path that leads to her. Scroll #3 While staring at the two paths across the first bridge, take the left path. Follow the path until it divides then move along the left split in the path. Run across the bridge and onto the little island in between the bridges. There is a path of grass in the water off to the right that is covering a raccoon ornament. Shoot the raccoon ornament through the grass. A Master Ninja Wire and two Ninja Wires will attack. Kill off the two Ninja Wires then go for the Master Ninja. They will leave behind ++SCROLL 3++ Scroll #4 Move across the other bridge on the island where Scroll 3 was obtained and follow the path to the right. Pass by the small bridge off to the right and Mondo will run into a Master Samurai Wire - this is a more powerful version of the Samurai Wires Mondo has fought so far. Follow the path beside the tree with pink leaves and Mondo will arrive at a small building. This raccoon ornament is on the ceiling inside of that building. Shoot it to start an enemy fight. A Master Ninja Wire and two Ogre Wires will spawn outside the building. Keep the two Ogre Wires together and fight them first. The best part about having two of them is that their attacks will hit each other when they are close, so it will help to damage them and knock off their armor. Ogre Wires take damage slowly because of their armor. They can be stunned after they have received enough damage. Constantly slash them from close range, but be ready to block as they attack. Their normal attacks can be guarded against, but any attack where they charge their mace with purple energy must be avoided. Kill off the Master Ninja Wire after finishing off the Ogre Wires and then pick up ++SCROLL 4++. Scroll #5 From the area where Scroll 4 was gained, there is a fenced area past an area with rocks and sand further down the path. Run to that fenced area and then make a left to enter an area with building. While facing the building, move to the left side of the building. The raccoon ornament is on the rooftop of the building, so back away from that side and shoot it. A Master Ninja Wire and two Samurai Wires will spawn and attack. This group shouldn't be much of anything compared to what Mondo has faced so far. Kill them off starting with the Samurai Wires then collect ++SCROLL 5++ from them. The door outside the building will open if all scrolls have been collected so far. While still near the building in the fenced area, move around the backside by stepping around the right side. There is a stone in the back of the building that can be broken with the drill subweapon. Mondo will enter an area with several bamboo trees. Cut down the trees to gain items from each one. Strike down the glowing bamboo tree to find **SCARLETT (11/20)**. THE SECOND YOU STEP PAST THE GATE, DON'T GET ON THE PATH YET. Look to the left past the open door and **SCARLETT (12/20)** is behind the gate door in all her random hiding glory. If you move too far, the camera will not be able to show her well. When ready, run to the other end of the path beyond the open gate and open the door to trigger a cutscene. Mondo will receive calls on the way. BOSS BATTLE: Hamada-Yama -------------------------- The first part of this battle takes place while on Vivienne's motorcycle. Mondo and Vivienne will be riding on a motorcycle right beside Hamada-Yama while he is moving ahead while on his tiger. The controls for this part are as follows: .-----------------------------------. | Left Analog | Lean | | Left Analog + tap X | Change Lane | | Square | Attack | | Circle | Block | '-----------------------------------' Really, the main thing you need to focus on is dodging obstacles along the road. Change lanes whenever there is some type of obstacle (spiked logs) on the current side of the road. Hamada-Yama will attack every now and then with a sword slash, which can be blocked. Keep slashing him with the sword attack as much as possible, but keep an eye on the road at all times. The obstacles along the road will often hit Yama. This part isn't that hard at all. Simply lower his health all the way down to move on to the true battle with him. --> Phase 1 Hit Yama from close range with sword attacks for the first part of this battle. Whenever he does a slash with his sword, guard the attack and then continue to attack him. The main move that you have to watch out for is when he starts to glow purple and then unleashes a shockwave around him - dash away from him when he charges this move to avoid it. His close range attacks cannot be parried and Mondo can't enter Burst Rush while avoiding them, so just block them and hit him while he recovers. The main problem that I have with this battle is getting too aggressive and then failing to block Yama's attack because my Mondo is a current attack animation. Be cautious about attacking him at full force when you know he is about to attack Mondo. Yama has some pretty bad recovery for his close range attacks. He might guard every now and then. If you have the charge melee then hit him with that to break his guard and stun him for a few seconds. If you don't have the charge melee then don't even bother to break his guard since he will push Mondo off with a counter attack while trying. From a distance, Yama will charge with purple aura and then leap into the air then fall and try to stab Mondo. When he does this, block the move and the two characters will lock swords and you will enter a button tap minigame. Mash the sword attack button to win the battle and take a good deal of health from Yama in the process. This can be a good way to damage him if your fingers can hold out on all the mashing. Activate an Adrenaline Slash when the button icon appears. --> Phase 2 Aw, shit! He has his tiger familiar out for this battle. All of his attacks during this part of the battle cannot be blocked. He has some major recovery from every attack that he performs however! Mondo can get a Burst Rush during Yama's tiger slash that he will perform while in close range. His tiger slash is slow enough to where Mondo can hit him after simply dodging also. It's kind of dangerous, but stay in close to Yama during this part of the battle and dodge backwards as he performs his tiger slash. Try to dodge later to get a Burst Rush off the dodge. If you can get many Burst Rushes quickly, you will own him fast. Even dodging to the side during his tiger slash is still good since Mondo will have a chance to hit Yama while he recovers. The main attack that you need to watch out for are all of Yama's other attacks. He has a ground pound attack that he will charge and then hit the ground all around him. He also has a grab where he will toss Mondo forward. The grab seems to be mid-range so stay in close and he won't likely perform it. The ground pound will be done randomly and it's hard to tell when he is about to perform, so always dodge backwards to make sure that Mondo escapes both! When he leans over with the command above him, do the usual Adrenaline Burst slash to finish him. During the cutscene, get ready for the usual QTE with the R1 button. KILLER IS DEAD! YEAH, MORE VIOHLINCE! ROCK! [WT08] _____________________________________________________________________ Episode 8 ------------------------------------------------------ SHE WHO DANCES IN DREAMS Target: Unknown Mondo will start out in a dream sequence once again for this episode. He is on the same island where he fought the Unknown target in the last dream. Notice that Mondo has two human arms at the moment. He can still use melee like normal, but he can't use his gun. Face the wooden bridge that Unknown started out at in the last dream episode. Mondo's destination is the side of the island across from that bridge. Walk over to the big rock on the opposite side and a narrow path will appear. Follow the path and fight off the three Mace Wires that spawn along the path. Move through the door and Mondo will be taken to a hotel corridor like the one from the second episode. Three Mace Wires will attack in the hotel corridor. After finishing them off, enter the corridor on the back right portion of the corridor then run through the door at the end. Mondo will appear on another island. Destroy the three Mace Wires that attack. Walk over to the left side of the island and a narrow path will appear after the battle. Three Mace Wires will spawn while walking along this path as well. After defeating them, enter the gate at the end of the path. Four Mace Wires followed by another group of two Mace Wires will attack Mondo in the area with the light posts. Kill them off then step through the open gate at the end of the path. A path will form way ahead of Mondo as it curves around the background area. Four Mace Wires will spawn further ahead. Battle the Mace Wires along the path then make your way over to the next island. There is another path on the right side of the island. Follow that path and a table, cabinet and door will appear in the water on the other side of it. Move into that area to trigger a cutscene. BOSS BATTLE: Unknown ---------------------- Mondo will enter a fight sequence where he will be presented three figures. Some of the figures will be enemy Wires, some of them will be dream sequence characters, one of them will be the Unknown boss from the last dream sequence episode and one of them will always be David (the one with the crown and king suit). Point toward David's direction with the left analog and make sure the red line on the screen lines up with him then press the sword attack button to hit him before he hits Mondo. Players only have a few seconds to hit him before he hits Mondo - if he hits Mondo, he will take some health from him. If Mondo hits David, the boss health gauge at the bottom of the screen will decrease by one-third health. The figures are all random and you never know what type of sequence that you will have presented to Mondo. Always scope out David and line up the cursor with him then slash him. All you have to do is hit him four times to end the battle. A cutscene will take place after the final hit. Please note that the cutscene will be the exact same one you just got through watching, but it will differ slightly at the end, so don't skip it! [WT09] _____________________________________________________________________ Episode 9 -------------------------------------------------- THE GIANT WHO STOLE A PLANET Target: Giant Head Mondo will start out near the shutter of a warehouse. Move forward and two Gun Wires will step out on an upper walkway and a container then two Mace Wires will run toward Mondo from off to the left. Defeat the Mace Wires in order to gain blood then use that blood to shoot the Gun Wires. Try to keep the battle with the Mace Wires near the container that one Gun Wire is on top of in order to keep from taking damage from the other. Round the corner up ahead then enter the green room through the door off to the right. Two Ninja Wires will hop out from the doorway on the other side of the room. The room will seal off. Defeat the two Ninja Wires to make the door on the other side open then enter the next portion of the warehouse. There is Gun Wire standing behind a turret at the top of the stairs up ahead, so try to go for a headshot on him when Mondo gets him in his viewing. Mondo's main destination is on the other side of the canisters under the stairs, but the canisters block the way. Run to the top of the stairs and use the turret to blast the Sniper Wire along the ledge on the other side of the warehouse then blast the explosive containers that block the way. Run below and break the crate on the right side of the crate further ahead to find **SCARLETT (13/20)**. One of the paths to the right will be sealed off by some falling debris so simply move down the left path. A Mace, a Club and a Sniper Wire will spawn in the area off to the right along with a Gun Drone. Get behind the nearby wall so that the Sniper Wire can't shoot Mondo then fight off the other enemies. When shooting the Sniper Wire, aim for his head to kill him instantly with a headshot. It's much better than wasting tons of blood bullets on his thick armor. A piece of debris will fall from the ceiling and make a path across a container to the left of the walkway where the Sniper Wire was positioned. Move up the piece of debris then down the next the piece. Three Ninja Wires will spawn near some fallen pink test tubes and attack as Mondo continue through the warehouse. Once they are finished, a Master Samurai Wire will move out of the nearby elevator door as it opens. Kill off the Master Samurai Wire and be sure to break the nearby crates then get on the elevator and activate the control panel on the other side. The elevator will rise while Mondo chats with Vivienne. Get off the elevator and enter the lab area once it reaches the floor above. This entire area is timed. You have ten minutes to get out of this area. The doors throughout this area require Mondo to hit control panels to activate them, so you have to hurry. Remember that a blue glow means that a door is unlocked and a red glow means that it is locked. TIP: For the next few areas, Mondo will need to kill off enemies quickly. For bigger enemies, an Adrenaline Burst slash can instantly kill them off and save you the hassle of weakening them slowly. Start off by running toward the blue door off to the right. It will open and then seal off as Mondo enters the room with test tubes behind it. A Heavy Mace Wire and two Mace Wires will bust out of some of the test tubes and attack. Kill off the two normal Mace Wires first then focus on the Heavy Mace Wire. One single door will turn blue (unlock) after finishing off all the enemies. The area around the side corridor only leads to a locked door so it's a waste of time to explore it. A Heavy Mace, Shield, Club and Bull Wire will attack in the next area. Kill off the smaller Wires first then deal with the Bull Wire. A second version of each type of enemy will spawn as the first type of Wire is killed off. The Bull Wire's main attack is to charge a ram then spin forward - this move can be dodged to enter Burst Rush mode. The Bull Wire is overall weak, but he can be annoying in a crowd. A Claw Wire will be the final enemy. Weaken the Claw Wire then perform the usual Adrenaline Burst slash to finish it off. Grab the head of the Claw Wire after the battle then use it on the scanner near the red door on the left side of the back portion of the room to open the door. Hit the control panel in the small room ahead. Hitting this control panel will unlock the door to the room across from the current small room, so run back outside then enter the next room and then the room after that. Mondo will wind up in a room with several stacked crates. Break them all then run back into the past room then the room with the scanner door. Make a left and step back into the outside corridor then turn right and move into the corridor that I told you to skip earlier. The door at the end of that corridor is now unlocked. Run up the stairs and be prepared to open fire on the Eye Wire that spawns at the top of the stairs. After he eats lead, the door at the top of the stairs will unlock. There are some crates on both sides of the next room. Break the crates on the right side of the room then use the drill subweapon to break the cracked wall behind them to find **SCARLETT (14/20)** along with some more crates in a hidden room. Run back outside then enter the next room through the unlocked door. A Heavy Mace Wire and two Club Wires will burst out of the side test tubes. More of each type of Wire will join the fight eventually. All three doors that were previously locked will open after the battle. The two doors on the left wall (while looking down the corridor with crates) are the way to the main destination. The door at the end of the corridor with crates only leads to a room with a locked red door so it's a waste of time. Two Bull Wires and an Ogre Wire along with two Gun Wires will spawn in the bigger room on the other side of the two unlocked doors. Mondo must defeat the Ogre Wire in order to stop the other enemies from respawning. It does no good to attack the smaller enemies while the Ogre Wire is still in the area since they will all respawn. Focus all attacks on the Ogre Wire. Blast it in the head with the gun while moving toward him then slash it from close range and try to enter Burst Rush mode while dodging its attacks to finish it off quickly with rapid slashes. Kill off all the rest of the enemies after the battle and they will not respawn. Eventually the shutter in the back of the room will open. Run onto the elevator and activate the control panel on the left side. While riding the elevator to the top floor, Mondo will have to fight off several Mace Wires - this is a great way to get his blood gauge back up if you've been using Adrenaline Burst slashes often. On the top floor, a Claw Wire and a Sniper Wire will spawn. A Drone will take the Sniper Wire over to the platform across from your current side. Try your best to aim toward the Sniper Wire and shoot it in the head then kill off the Claw Wire. Pick up the head of the Claw Wire after the battle then use it on the scanner to the side. The middle bridge will rotate. Run across the middle bridge and a group of Sniper Wires will step out of the elevator behind Mondo. Run back and start to fight them off. Vivienne will appear eventually and rain down bullets on the Sniper Wire group. They sure can take some hits, so you might want to Adrenaline Burst slash a few of them to kill them off faster - yes, even with Vivienne's help they can be annoying. Move across the bridge. Don't open the locked door across from the other side of the bridge just yet. Enter the room through the other locked door to the left then break open all crates. One of them will have **SCARLETT (15/20)** inside of it. Run back outside and step into the other room. The giant can be seen outside the window but he can't attack for now. Activate the control panel near the window that overlooks the middle room. This control panel will reveal another control panel inside the middle room. Run back into the middle room and activate the new control panel to rotate the bridge once again. Three Shield Wires will attack on the other side of the bridge as the bridge rotates back the other way. After finishing off the Shield Wires, both doors on the current side will unlock. Enter the room to the right and smash the crates inside for some extra pickups then run back outside and step through the other door. Mondo will step outside. The giant is near the walkway to his left. Be ready for the two Gun Drones that will attack shortly after the Club Wires break through the window to the left. The Gun Drones can easily stun Mondo, so destroy them quickly with your gun. Finish off the two Club Wires and then a Heavy Mace Wire and another Club Wire will spawn. Use an Adrenaline Bust slash to easily finish off the Heavy Mace Wire. The giant will smash the debris up ahead which will open the walkway path around the building for Mondo. Follow the walkway up ahead as it stretches around the side of the building. At the top of the ramp on the walkway, three Claw Wires will spawn but the giant will kill them by slamming his fist onto the walkway. Open the door to the left and step back inside. There are two crates across from the entrance door in the next room, so break them. A Bull Wire will enter the room from the other side of the set of doors off to the right and a Gun Drone will fire into the room from the other side of the nearby window. Defeat the Drone first then focus on the Bull Wire. Another Gun Drone will appear eventually. After the battle, use the control panel near the next door to open it. In the next room, the giant will constantly look inside and shower the room with his eyebeams. He will start from the right then his eyebeams will move to the left. Stay behind a pillar constantly to avoid taking damage. Gun Drones will constantly spawn on the right side of the room and they are the annoying kind that will stun Mondo in place so be on the lookout for them and shoot them when they appear. They will likely start shooting at Mondo before you can see them. Work your way around the debris and over to the walkway ramp on the back left side of the room. Once you're on the ramp, Mondo is NOT safe even then. He must open the blue door at the top and step inside the next room to get to safety. A Master Ogre Wire will move out of the area behind the shutter in the next room. The main difference with this type is that it has an arm cannon for when Mondo stands at a distance and it is more aggressive. It must be killed off with an Adrenaline Burst slash once it is weakened. Step into the stairway area after the battle. While standing at the bottom of the stairs, there is a small space to the right where Mondo can move to an area below the stairs. He will have to move by three metal crates. The space under the stairs is VERY dark. There is a wooden crate next to the third metal crate up under the stairs that can be broken open to reveal **SCARLETT (16/20)**. It is to the left after passing by the third metal crate. It really pays to have the chargeable laser subweapon and charge it while entering the area below the stairs in order to light up the area, but you can get it without it if you follow my directions - it's to the left after passing by the third metal crate up under the stairs. NOTE: If the wooden box containing Scarlett is NOT up under the stairs, pause the game and reload your current checkpoint. I have gotten this glitch twice in both my times trying to find the location of this hidden wooden crate. Move up the stairs and run to the highest floor. Activate the control panel near the door on the top floor to trigger a cutscene. BOSS BATTLE: Giant Head ------------------------- Besides a few attack annoyances in the later phases of this battle, this guy is pretty easy. Another problem you might have during this battle is your blood level since Mondo must use his gun arm to shoot this boss in order to damage it. Giant Head has four weak points: 1) the blue bubble to the left of his mouth 2) the blue bubble to the right of hit mouth 3) the blue bubble below his mouth (very small) 4) the blue bubble in the center of his chest Shoot any of Giant Head's weak points to damage the creature. Each weak point will start out blue then it will turn red and then eventually drip blood. Whenever it drips blood, that weak point cannot be shot to damage the creature anymore. Shooting the weak points drains health from this boss VERY quickly in normal mode. This is the way to damage Giant Head during all three phases. TIP: When Giant Head turns his back to Mondo, shoot either side of the three blue bubbles on his back to earn a full blood gauge. Mondo must shoot ALL three blue bubbles on one side of his back in order to get this. Mondo will also gain skill points by doing this. NOTE: If Mondo runs out of blood, you can't do too much about it at times. He will just have to continue the fight with limited shooting. --> Phase 1 During the first battle, Giant Head will not do much in the way of attacking outside of smashing the rooftop with his arms. When he lifts an arm into the air, quickly run or dash away from it. Giant Head will also toss debris onto the rooftop - it auto targets Mondo until it comes into view, so you have to constantly stay moving to avoid it. Mace Wires will attack Mondo every so often - kill them off quickly for extra blood. The first battle will end pretty fast overall. Once Giant Head's health has been drained all the way, run to the VERY back of the area (toward the camera) to avoid getting hit as the creature falls. Use an Adrenaline Burst slash near its head to end this first phase. Mondo will jump to another portion of the rooftop before the second phase of the battle. --> Phase 2 The crates on the side of the building will NOT help out for escaping Giant Head's eyebeam attacks, so don't get behind him when he starts to his eyebeams. Giant Head will eventually look down then fire his eyebeams while turning his head upward. Giant Head will target the center of the rooftop while doing this, so stay away from the center. He will look to the right then fire his eyebeams across the rooftop eventually - run forward to get under him when he does this. Other than the eyebeams, he will do the same rooftop smashes like in the last battle. Shoot him in his weak spots then back away when he falls. Activate an Adrenaline Burst slash on his head after he falls to end this portion of the battle. Once again, Mondo will move to another portion of the roof for the next battle. --> Phase 3 Along with the rooftop smashes, he will plant his hand on the side of the roof then look down and fire his eyebeams then follow Mondo with them. When he does this, run toward him and circle around the eyebeams until he stops. Weaken him just like all the other times and then activate the Adrenaline Burst slash near his head once he falls for the final time to end the boss battle. Perform the usual QTE to finish off Giant Head. [WT10] ____________________________________________________________________ Episode 10 ----------------------------------------------------------- THE CARRIER OF LOVE Target: TM-551 Mondo wills start out on the back cart of the train. Two Sniper Wires will attack him at first. Shield Wires will join in the battle eventually and then three Heavy Mace Wires will spawn into the area. Kill off some of the Heavy Mace Wires with Adrenaline Burst slashes to make the battle a bit easier. Once the enemies are all finished off, the back shutter will open. Enter the next cart up ahead. Those test tubes look like they are going to break any moment, eh? Run around to the back side of the beds and find the control panel then activate it to make **SCARLETT (17/20)** appear. To open the door up ahead, find the two white fuse boxes on both sides of the next door and shoot them. Step out onto the next cart. Look to the left and there is a metal crate that can be broken with the drill subweapon. Use the drill on the crate to get a few extra pickups. There are several breakable wooden crates around the area. Be sure to duck (Hold L1 then tap R3) to avoid the gunfire from the Sniper Wires up ahead. Sniper Wires are on the bottom floor and along the second floor walkways. Try to shoot them in the head with Mondo's gun arm. After defeating most of them, several Sniper Wires will enter the cart through the door in the back of the cart. Adrenaline Burst slashes might help out for the crowd of them. Since they can't block, they aren't too bad, but it's hard to group ever single one of them to keep them from attacking. Break all crates in the surrounding cart then move outside to the next cart. NOTE: Instead of staying back and shooting the Sniper Wires up top in the cart, Mondo can move up either of the ramps on the side of the cart and meet the Sniper Wires at the top. Break open the wooden crate on the left side of the top walkways to find **SCARLETT (18/20)** once again. A cutscene will player outside as several explosive crates bounce toward Mondo. Three Bull Wires will attack after the cutscene. Keep in mind that Bull Wires can die instantly to an Adrenaline Burst slash, and you WILL most likely want to kill them off with that in the battles to come. The train off to the side beside the current cart will start to fire off its cannons at Mondo while he fights the Bull Wires. Bryan will eventually show up and pull out a turret. Turret controls are as follows: .-------------------------------. | Right Analog | Aim | | R1 | Chain Gun | | R1 (hold) | Maser | | R1 (release) | Missile | | Circle | Get off Turret | '-------------------------------' Make SURE all Bull Wires are way from the turret before getting one. If they continue to stick near it, Adrenaline Burst slash their ass to get rid of them. The controls for the Bryan turret are a bit strange. Holding down the R1 button will activate the chain gun and it will also fire the Maser. Letting go of R1 will stop shooting and launch a missile. Look to the right and fire at each of the four cannons (bubbles with red lights inside) on the train cart to the right. Fire at one until it starts to burn then start to work on gunning down another one. The top cannon is the hardest to hit since it keeps moving by a railing up above. Keep a watch on the meter that moves up while firing and make sure not to overheat - stop shooting if it reaches near the top. While firing at the cannons, you'll also have to keep the constantly respawning Bull Wires away from the turret. Turn to the left to check on them every now and then and try to keep them at least grounded to make sure they stay away from the turret. After destroying the cannons, Bryan will leave Mondo with a basic turret. Get in the turret and turn it to the right. There are still two more cannons on the train beside Mondo's cart. Fire at the turrets and shoot any Gun Drones that come into view. They will be shooting at Mondo, but you'll mainly want to focus on the cannons to get this part over with faster. The current turret will overheat faster than the Bryan turret, so watch the meter carefully. A cutscene will play. Cannons will be revealed on the current cart after the cutscene. Fire at any Gun Drones that are nearby then quickly hop back in the turret. Fire at the four turret up ahead and try to keep the approaching Bull Wires grounded. You have to worry about overheating more here, so try to limit gunfire is possible. The Bull Wires can be quite annoying to get off once they get close to the turret so don't allow them to move too close. Destroy all four cannons while shooting off any enemies that try to get close to the turret. Be sure to zoom in with L1 to easily aim at the top cannons. Along with the Bull Wires, two Ogre Wires will exit from the door near the cannons. The Ogre Wires can be defeated before they get to the turret, but you'll need to bear down on them a lot with gunfire - they are slow enough to where you should be able to take them down. DON'T enter the red room in the back cart just yet after defeating all the Wires and cannons. While standing in front of the red room, look off to the right to spot a crate with a ladder on it. Climb the ladder and break the wooden crate at the top to find **SCARLETT (19/20)**. Climb back down then run into the back cart when finished. There are breakable crates in the test tube area that can be broken. Step into the next portion of the cart and then shoot the two white fuse boxes on the wall near the door to open it. Climb the ladder off to the right on the outside walkway. The train will start to go through a tunnel as Mondo climbs up to the top. The train will pass by overhangs that can hit Mondo if he is in the path of one. There is a maze of iron crates and breakable crates up ahead and there is a single Sniper Wire on the other side. Aim for the Sniper Wire's head and then shoot him to kill him instantly. Sniper Wires will constantly respawn and shoot at Mondo throughout this part. Break all the crates on top of the train on the way across. Don't worry too much about the overhangs. Yeah, they take off health if they hit, but just look at all the crates that have possible healing item in them! Stay on the right side of the train and break the crates and **CHARLOTTE (20/20)** will be inside one of the first few. Run toward the ladder on the other side of the train to activate a cutscene. BOSS BATTLE: TM-551 --------------------- --> Phase 1 This boss looks hard from the start, but it's actually not that bad at all. The tentacles with eyes at the end of them are its weak point, but in order to hit them, Mondo must make the boss attack. The tentacles only have two types of attacks - either they will lift up into the air and fall down flat for a ground smash or they will lower then strike to the side. Whenever they fall to the floor, dash out of the way of the falling tentacle to avoid it then turn around and attack with the sword. It's best to wait for both tentacles to perform an attack then hit the last one that attacks. They often attack one right after the other and if the first one is hit, the second tentacle runs a greater chance to hit Mondo. Dash diagonally away from the tentacles just in case they strike to the side. TIP: After each ground smash is avoided, you can aim straight at a tentacle's eye (Mondo will do so as he locks on) then fire at the eye and this will stun the tentacle for a few seconds. Obviously, this will consume blood from Mondo though. It's possible to go into Burst Rush mode while avoiding a tentacle ground smash with a dash, but it really isn't needed for this part of the battle. Every now and then, the back mouth of the train will open and fire will shoot out of its mouth. It will try to suck Mondo toward the furnace in its mouth. Run toward the camera when it opens its mouth and try to dash to the side to avoid the tentacles since they will continue to attack at that time. Each tentacle has it's own health gauge so Mondo must weaken both. Once one of them is weakened, it will stretch forward and then Mondo can cut off the tentacle with an Adrenaline Burst slash as the button icon appears above it. As a tentacle is cut off, it will fire out purple projectiles while the other attacks - this can get highly annoying, so it's really best to try to cut off both at about the same time (weaken both equally). --> Phase 2 Once both tentacles are cut off, the furnace will open and a tentacle with a head and face on it will move out. It reminds me of Jason's spawn from Jason Goes Hell. This head tentacle has all the same moves of the small tentacles. It's main attack is to stay in the back of the train cart and fire out purple projectiles. The way it stands back and fires out projectiles is also a downfall for it since all Mondo has to do is run to the back of it and slash it from the side to avoid it's projectile attacks. The head tentacle will perform its other attacks shortly after Mondo tries to get near it though, so prepare to dash away from it. The battle is mainly about getting in a few hits and then dashing away to avoid its attacks. It's not hard, but it takes a while. The head tentacle will stretch toward Mondo once it is weakened all the way and then Mondo can finish it off with an Adrenaline Burst flash as usual. Get ready for the usual QTE during the cutscene afterwards. [WT11] ____________________________________________________________________ Episode 11 ------------------------------------------------------- SHE WHO LIVES IN DREAMS Target: Dolly Hey, this looks familiar! Where is the little ass that was shooting at Mondo in vain though? Oh well, walk forward and follow the alley up ahead. Mondo will eventually gain the ability to run instead of walk! Step around to the right side of the open area to trigger a cutscene. BOSS BATTLE: Dolly -------------------- --> Phase 1 This boss right here can be a total ass with projectile attacks. Dolly is freely available to hit at all times, so Mondo can really lay into her with sword attacks at any time. The problem with the boss is its attacks. This boss only uses laser beams to attacks and many of these attacks cover the screen or they are super annoying to where they basically shield the boss. Dolly will create lightning bolts from her hands that stretch around her at times. When she does this, don't try to hit her since the electricity will hit Mondo. She will sometimes shoot red projectiles out of her hands toward Mondo - dash to the side to get away from those. She will sometimes send out a two light sphere into the air that will fire out laser beams that will circle the area. The laser are super annoying since you'll have to pay attention to the way they go and run around the area to avoid them. She will sometimes send out light circles all around a certain area and the circles will all fire out projectiles toward the center area. The one attack that she does that isn't too bad is when she fire out a huge laser beam from one side of her. When she does this, get behind her as she turns then slash her from the backside. To make matters worse with this boss battle, Dolly will start to send out a shield that will stay near her and absorb Mondo's attacks. The only way to break the shield is to hit it several times. None of the hits will do damage to the boss. You've nearly got to get hit by this boss in order to damage her quickly. When she is low in life, hit her with an Adrenaline Burst slash as usual. Mondo will cut off her bottom portion. --> Phase 2 This part of the battle is a bit easier. Dolly will move around and spray out purple liquid on the ground in a certain area - this liquid will hurt Mondo, so stay away from it. Dolly will still perform all the projectile attacks from the last battle, but she needs to be above Mondo first. She will eventually leap up onto a demon seal that is up in the air. Two more demon seals are next to her when she does this. While she is up in the air, she will perform laser attacks from the last phase. To get her down, shoot the demon seals in the air. Shoot the one that she is currently on to make her leap to another one. Shoot all of them and she will fall and be stunned for a VERY LONG time. Mondo can literally take half of her life with sword attacks before she can even recover. Perform the Adrenaline Burst slash to finish her off once she is weakened again. Do the usual holding of R1 and releasing of R1 during the cutscene that follows. THEY ARE ALL LIES! LIEZ! [WT12] ____________________________________________________________________ Episode 12 ------------------------------------------------------------ CHOSEN BY THE MOON Target: David Mondo will start out on the moon in David's mansion at the beginning of this episode. Enter the foyer through the doors up ahead. Three Ninja Wires and two Sickle Wires will spawn and attack. Don't use any Adrenaline Burst slashes during this battle - build up your blood by fighting off these enemies normally. An explosion of Dark Matter in the middle of the room will create a Dark Matter pillar. This pillar will appear and then reappear throughout the room for the remainder of the battle. Whenever it is about to appear near Mondo it wills start with an explosion below, so be sure to watch for this and move out of the way since the pillar will take health if it hits him. Five Heavy Mace Wires will spawn in the Foyer once the first wave of enemies is defeated. This is a good time to start using some Adrenaline Burst slashes to instantly kill some of the enemies. Mondo's blood should be built up enough to where he can kill off the majority of the Heavy Mace Wires with an Adrenaline Burst slash. The pillar will still be in the area after the battle. Be sure to break all the vases on the bottom floor then enter the corridor through the open door on the back right portion of the foyer. Two Heavy Mace Wires and a Club Wire will break through the windows on the left side of the next room. That pillar of Dark Matter from the last room, will be in this room as well so avoid it. The picture that hangs on the wall will form a portal to another room after the battle, so enter the portal once all the enemies are defeated. A Master Samurai Wire will attack in the pool room on the other side of the portal. Weaken it then Adrenaline Burst slash it to finish off the creature. The Dark Matter pillar will be in this room as well, but if you stay near the pool tables, it won't be able to move there. Run through the corridor behind the door that opens and then step into the next room. Dash down the stairs. There is a painting with a portal in it at the bottom of the stairs, but ignore that for now. Break the vases off to the right then use the drill subweapon to break the weak wall below the stairs. There are some extra breakable objects behind the wall. An Eye Wire will spawn back in the room with the stairs so kill it off quickly before it starts releasing Bomb Wires. Break the vase near the door in front of the bottom portion of the stairs and then use the control panel inside of it to open the nearby door. The blue room up ahead has some breakable objects in it. Return to the painting when ready and hop into the portal. A Heavy Mace Wire and two Shield Wires are on the second floor walkway ahead. Defeat the Shield Wires without breaking their shield since they both have a Heavy Mace and will not guard so long as they have a shield! Enter the corridor behind the open door after the battle continue to the dining room ahead. Four Shield Wires will break out of the vases in the back of the dining room. Just like before, don't break their shields - get in the back of them and slash them since they won't block once Mondo starts hitting them. A portal will form in the painting on the side of the room once they are all defeated, so hop through the painting to reach the next room. A Master Samurai Wire, Ogre Wire and two Sickle Wires will attack. Defeat the two Sickle Wires first to build up blood. You might want to get at a distance from the Ogre Wire and shoot it with gun arm to weaken it. Either way, it will take a while to weaken the Ogre Wire. Finish off the Master Samurai Wire with an Adrenaline Burst slash as usual once it is weakened. The door on the side of the room will open after the battle. Rush through the corridor and pass by the sitting room. There is a Sniper Wire in the corridor before the next room, so defeat it then continue into the next room and finally follow the corridor back to the foyer. Three Sickle Wires and two Eye Wires will spawn in the foyer. Defeat the two Eye Wires with your gun arm immediately before they start spawning too many Bomb Wires or this fight could get ugly. Watch out for the annoying Dark Matter pillar once again. Defeat the Sickle Wires and the painting in the middle of the room will form a portal that will take Mondo to the courtyard. A Master Ogre Wire and a Master Samurai Wire are in the courtyard along with the Dark Matter pillar. Focus on the Master Ogre Wire and try to keep both enemies together and the Ogre Wire might hit the Master Samurai Wire. Dodge to the side a lot to avoid the Master Ogre Wire's attacks and he should go down fast if you constantly attack him. Once the Master Ogre Wire is killed off another Master Ogre Wire will spawn in the courtyard. A cutscene will play after the battle. BOSS BATTLE: David -------------------- --> Phase 1 The first part of this battle is the exact same as the second phase of the original battle with David in Episode 4, so I'll just copy and paste what I had for that battle last time - there are some minor edits in the information however. David will use a more powerful version of his wave slash from a distance from the start of the battle - he will send out three waves instead of one, so move to the side even more to dodge him. He will still do his close range attack that can still be dodged by dodging to the side. Try to get a Burst Rush off of these to slash him faster and take damage quicker. He will sometimes surround himself with a purple glow and then quickly disappear and reappear above Mondo. Try to gain a Burst Rush off any of David's moves then slash him to weaken him. When he is fully weakened, Mondo will get in a sword battle with David in which the sword attack button must be pressed rapidly. Finish David off with an Adrenaline Rush when the command appears above him once his health has been taken down all the way. --> Phase 2 Both David and Mondo change forms to a more uber version of their self for this part of the battle. Mondo has no blood at the start of this battle and he will gain no blood throughout this battle - this will make it hard to finish off David toward the end. David will attack with sword swings from close range as usual. From long range, he will charge a dash and then ram toward Mondo. David cannot be hit with normal sword attacks anymore for this battle. He must be hit with Burst Rush attacks, which means that you HAVE to gain a Burst Rush off one of his attacks in order to take damage from him. The easiest attack to Burst Rush off of is his ram attack that he does from long range. The startup animation is him charging and then a slight bit of music plays before he dashes forward (kind of like Final Fantasy Sephiroth stuff). When he is about to hit Mondo during the dash, dodge to the side with the block button for a good chance to activate a Burst Rush. Slash him while in that Burst Rush to damage him. The most annoying part about this battle is when David stops and forms a light sphere up above him. He will send Dark Matter spheres out in front of him and these spheres will fall slowly and then explode after David finishes the move. The spheres will damage Mondo if they hit him. David is free to attack Mondo while the spheres fall as well. They sphere's targeting area will be displayed by circles that are on the ground, so just avoid the circles. If Mondo gets hit by the sphere's explosion often, he will eventually get knocked to another platform. This does nothing really, but it can get annoying. It takes quite a few hits even after taking down all of David's health in order to make the Adrenaline Burst slash command appear over David, so just keep activating Burst Rush and slashing him until it does. Once it appears, he will kneel down. There is a problem with this part though - Mondo has no blood by default at the start of this battle. Quickly slash David while he is down in order to get one meter of blood then activate Adrenaline Burst slash. --> Phase 3 All right, this is it. This battle is basically like fighting Mondo really. These two are brothers but I had no idea what twins they actually were. David can be hit with normal slashes this time, but you sure don't want to rely on those since he will tear up Mondo with combo slashes if he tries to defeat him with only normal slashes. David only has close range attacks for this battle. The problem with his attacks is that he will chain them just like Mondo can. Run toward him and get ready to dodge to the side IMMEDIATELY after David starts to slash to get a Burst Rush on him then slash him violently like usual. The main problem with the battle is the delayed charged swing that David will use - this will mess up dodge timing. All you really have to do is figure out the dodge speed for dodging his quick close attacks and this battle is not that hard at all. Basically, just run into him and prepare to dodge nearly instantly then hit him while in Burst Rush mode. Activate Adrenaline Rush when the command appears above David. Mondo should have plenty of blood to do it this time. Prepare to do the usual QTE during the cutscene that follows. For the last time... In order to play a Gigolo Mission, purchase at least one gift from the Gift Shop at the Office. You really need about 3-4 gifts to successfully complete a Gigolo Mission. The amount needed depends on the gift and the beauty that Mondo gives the gift to. Some beauties like a certain gift more than others. The controls for the Gigolo Mission are as follows .---------------------------------------. | Right Analog | Change viewing angle | | L1 (hold) | Gigolo Vision | | R1 | Present (Guts required | '---------------------------------------' A Gigolo mission is nearly like taking shots of a woman. For missions 1 & 3, Mondo will be seated next to a "beauty" and will talk to her. While talking to her, wait for her to move her eyes to the side and stare away from Mondo then look at her bottom half and activate Gigolo Vision (L1). Basically, stare at her breasts and bottom half while she looks away and perve your heart away to fill Mondo's guts gauge on the left hand side of the screen. Don't let the beauty see Mondo staring at her bottom half or this will decrease the mood gauge to the right side of the screen and eventually the mission will end if she spots Mondo looking at her vital parts for too long. The controller will vibrate if a beauty sees Mondo staring at her bottom half, so quickly look back at her face at that point. Once Mondo gets a full guts gauge, he can hand over a gift by pressing R1 (while will display ONLY when he has a full guts gauge). The gift will fill up the attraction gauge displayed in hearts at the bottom of the screen. Fill that gauge up entirely to win over the beauty. Keep in mind that certain gifts will increase the attraction gauge more than others on certain beauties. Don't just play a Gigolo mission once and then stop after you get a sub-weapon - yes, sub-weapons are won as prizes from completing a mission. Be sure to keep playing the Gigolo mission in between episodes to keep the beauties satisfied. If you don't satisfy them from time to time, they will start to contact Mondo during main story episodes and delay him. ---------------- Gigolo Mission 2 ---------------- Gigolo mission 2 has Scarlett in it and she will offer Mondo to choose between Challenge missions that she has provided for him through meeting up with her in story episodes. All of the challenge missions that he has unlocked will be available during this Gigolo mission in order to play. To unlock more Challenge missions, find Scarlett throughout the story episodes to unlock one per finding. ________________________________ SUB-MISSIONS _________________________________ -------------------- A Damsel in Distress -------------------- Objective: Protect the beauty from the enemy invasion. Use the turret. This mission requires that Mondo use a turret to kill off five waves of enemies so they don't reach the woman in the back of him. The mission is pretty straightforward. - just shoot the Wires as they spawn. They will spawn from the middle section, up above the two side stairways and from the area beside each of the two stairways. The enemies will vary in where they spawn as the waves get higher. The main tips for this mission is to only use the zoom when necessary since the turret turns too slow while zoomed and be sure to watch gauge to the left of the targeting cursor and make sure it doesn't fill all the way to where the turret overheats. If the gauge ever starts to get too high, let up on shooting for a few seconds to make it drop. Wave 1 - 6 Wires The first wave is basically just target practice. All Wires will spawn from the middle area. They are all extremely slow. Wave 2 - 10 Wires The second wave is where it can get a bit hard, but it's still really nothing. Wires spawn from the middle area then a Wire will drop from each railing beside the stairways. The ones that drop from near the stairs will run, so they are the biggest priority. Wave 3 - 20 Wires This wave steps it up just a bit more from the second wave. The major difference is that Wires will start to move down the stairways. Focus on the Wires that drop from the railings near the stairways then focus on the ones that spawn from the middle area and finally the Wires that move down the stairs. The Wires that drop from the railings are still the priority targets since they are the closest. Wave 4 - 10 Wires This is the hardest wave to me mainly because the Wires now take more shots to kill off. The middle area will spawn Heavy Mace Wires. Make sure to finish each one before moving on to the next. For this wave, Wires spawn in the middle and they move down the stairs. They are all pretty slow, but the high defense of the Wires from the middle area is what makes this wave a bit harder than the rest. Just shooting one directly will only cause it to fall usually, so bear down on it from a distance and shoot it while it is grounded to finish it off. Don't even turn the shoot the Wires that come down the stairways too much since they are weak and don't require as many hits - they can be killed off quickly once they reach the bottom. Wave 5 - 10 Wires The final wave is, surprisingly, super easy. All Wires spawn from the top of the first set and second set of stairs (VERY high up) on both sides. The only annoying part about this wave is how distant the enemies are, which also means that you have more time to shoot them, so that is a plus as well. All the Wires in the final wave are all weak and go down in just a few shots. Easy stuff. ------ Bonsai ------ Objective: Secure the Moon Bonsai before it reaches the black market Mondo has around 7 minutes and 30 seconds to reach the Moon Bonsai in order to complete this mission. The mission is fairly easy but there are some areas where it is a little hard to tell what to do. That's what I'll mainly focus on. After slashing through spiked logs along the path, Mondo will have to fight off a two Samurai Wires and a Mace Wire. Use the Mace Wire to build up blood. Gun Wires will spawn at the top of the gate up ahead and a Shield Wire will attack shortly as well. Once they are defeated, the gate up ahead will open. There is a weak wall off to the right that can be knocked down with the drill subweapon - this is useful for destroying the breakable barrels behind it (one of them holds a full blood refill). Chop through the spiked logs up ahead. There is a window along the wall off to the right. Break the two barrels in front of it then aim with the gun arm and look through it then shoot the sake barrel through the window to make a pole fall on the wall and break it down then make an entrance to the next area for Mondo. Shield Wires and a Master Samurai Wire will attack in beside the next building. Use an Adrenaline Burst slash to kill off the Samurai Wire quickly. There is a breakable fence off to the right with more breakable objects behind it. Continue ahead and slash through the fence and spiked logs on the path behind it. Slash through the next fence and a window will be in the wall to the left. Slash the sake barrel then move next to the window and shoot the sake barrel beside the window on the other side. Mondo must fight off several Wires including a Claw Wire that must be finished off with an Adrenaline Burst slash. Kill off the Wires quickly and try to find the Gun Wires that are on the ground level and finish them off. Once all Wires are finished off, a Master Ogre Wire will bust through the gate to the side. If you have the charge arm gun, shoot the Ogre Wire from a distance with charge shots to easily finish it off. Ninja Wires will join the battle eventually. Once all enemies are killed off, a nearby gate will open. Run across the bridge to reach the Moon Bonsai. -------- Bug Hunt -------- Objective: Exterminate all the bugs in the building. Mondo must find a total of 25 bugs hidden around the area and kill them in order to complete this mission. The bugs can be hidden inside of a breakable object or they might be hidden behind some type of obstacle. They are sometimes directly in view, but Mondo must have to shoot them. I can't fully tell you how many you'll find in each room since it is random. Here is a breakdown of where they hide: Middle Room - (6 to 7 bugs usually) The porcelain cats and the gift boxes in the middle room can contain some of the bugs. The bugs are randomly positioned each mission, so I can't tell you exactly where each bug is. The hardest breakable objects to find are the porcelain cat under the stairway to the left of where Mondo starts and there is also a gift box up under the stairs behind and to the left of where Mondo starts. Gift Boxes and porcelain cats are on top of stairways, tables and even high up on the suspended tables and stairways. Look up while aiming Mondo's gun and shoot down the porcelain cats and gift boxes up above. Each breakable object will have a red icon that appears over it whenever Mondo aims in the direction, so they aren't that hard to find. Once you can look around the room with the gun arm and NOT see any red icons, all breakable objects have been destroyed. Outside Room - (8 bugs) Hit the gift box in the middle of the circular room and bugs will scatter. Kill off the few on the ground floor then shoot the bugs that crawl along the walls. Upside-Down Room - (2 bugs) One bug will appear to the left as Mondo enters this room. The second bug can be found inside the dresser that hangs from the ceiling. Shoot the bottom portion of the dresser, near the lamp, to make a bug fall out. The dresser bug the most hidden bug in this mission. Living Room (1 bug) There is a bug in the gift box on the table between the sofas. Playroom (3-4 bugs usually) Shoot all four deer head plaques on the surrounding walls then hit the nearby glowing wall with a melee attack. Some bugs will be inside the green room behind the wall. ---------------- Gift of the Moon ---------------- Objective: Wires plan to blow the up laboratory. Defuse 5 time bombs. Mondo only has three minutes to find a total of five bombs for this mission. The bombs are often hidden behind breakable objects or in some obscure room. To defuse a bomb, approach it and interact with it then Mondo will instantly collect it. Bombs are small white devices that are attached to the walls in the surrounding area. Bomb #1 The first bomb is to the left of the first unlocked door. It's extremely easy to see. Bomb #2 Open the first door and shoot the Gun Drones in the next room. Ignore the first unlocked door and move further down the corridor. There will be a Gun Drone around the corner. Off to the left are some cables next to some test tubes. Destroy the wooden crates behind the cables and this bomb will be on the wall behind them. Bomb #3 Shatter the crates on the right side of the room with Mace Wires and Gun Drones to find this bomb attached to the wall behind them. Bomb #4 Enter the room that has a scanner in front of the door and break the crates near the left wall in the back to find this bomb on the wall behind them. Bomb #5 Break all the crates that blocked the door in the room across from the door with the scanner and then step into the next room. There are several breakable crates inside. Break the crates on the right side of the room and this bomb will be on the back wall. ------------- High Fidelity ------------- Objective: Infiltrate the headquarters and collect the headphones. Mondo will start out on a high walkway. There are some Gun Drones further ahead on the same walkway. It would come natural to shoot them, but run up to them and slash them to get started on collecting blood. Run below and defeat the Wires that spawn in the area - shoot the Gun Drone first. There are some breakable wooden crates up under the stairs. Move up the stairs. The stairs will seal off behind Mondo and an Ogre Wire and two Gun Drones will move out from behind the door up ahead. Quickly kill off the Gun Drones then focus on the Ogre Wire. More Gun Drones will attack throughout the battle with the Ogre Wire, so keep an eye out for them so Mondo doesn't suddenly get blasted while attacking. The door will open up after the battle. Run inside and collect the ++HEADPHONE SET++ from the rack. Now, it's time to exit. Move back down the stairs and a timer will start - Mondo has six minutes to leave this area. Two Club Wires and a Gun Wire will spawn. Kill them off and the seal up ahead will disappear. There is a Wire on the top walkway and one on the ground floor. Kill both of them and a Claw Wire will spawn below. Defeat the Claw Wire and collect his head then use it on the scanner on the bottom floor to get rid of the force field and connect the walkway. Get on either escalator and the paths will seal off and Mondo will be shot at by three Gun Wires in the middle of the area. Go for headshots and defeat them with the gun arm. Enter the next are once the seals are broken. Mondo must destroy each of the red terminals in this room. The terminals can be shot or hit with a close range attack in order to weaken them. They will explode, so Mondo will get hit if he uses close range attacks. Wires will spawn and attack throughout the time that Mondo tries to destroy the terminals. Once the terminals are all destroyed, finish off the remaining Wires and then a nearby door will open. Step outside to end this mission. -------------------- Man's Little Passion -------------------- Objective: Find the toy train and prevent mass production of the TM551mass production plan Alright, for this mission, Mondo has to find a toy train object and escape the train. Enter the red room to the right and be ready to fight several Heavy Mace Wires that will constantly burst out of the surrounding test tubes. Try to build up blood by defeating them and kill them off until they stop spawning. The door will open once the battle is over so move onto the next cart. Get on the turret on the next cart. Do not get off the turret until the door opens in the back. The beginning waves only have Gun Drones that spawn from above the back doors, but many more enemies will appear soon. Gun Drones will move up from the sides of the cart and Eye Wires will move up from the right side of the cart. Kill off each enemy type with turret shots. Try not to let the Eye Wires spawn any Bomb Wires. Defeat every enemy and the doors in the back will open. The room with the crates is the room that contains that toy train that Mondo must find. Move up the first ramp to the right when first entering the cargo room then run all the way forward to find the ++TOY TRAIN++ on the crate up ahead. Once it is taken, Gun Wires will enter the cart from the doors below. Move back to the bottom floor and defeat them then enter the room with the test tubes where they came from. The dumb-looking train from another mission is up ahead. Hop into the turret and destroy both of the cannons on the top sides of it. There are only two cannons - shoot them until they catch on fire. Gun Drones will fly beside it and shoot at Mondo. Defeat the Gun Drones to keep them from firing, but focus on the cannons for the most part. Once the cannons are destroyed, the train will crash and the mission will end. ----------------- Pain on the Train ----------------- Objective: Shoot down 50 power cells and drive away from Tommy's comrade, Ted Mondo will have to use the turret on the cart he is on to shoot down power cells that the train up ahead will launch at him. The power cells come in three different colors - yellow (single explosion), blue (replenish Mondo's health when shot) and red (multiple explosion. The power cells will start out being launched one at a time, but at times, they will be launched in groups. The single power cells are often yellow and there is always a red power cell in a group. Be sure to shoot the red power cells in the groups in order to destroy the entire group by just hitting that one power cell. If a power cell hits the cart Mondo is on, it will take health away from Mondo. Shoot blue power cells to replenish health. There isn't that much strategy or any difficulty in this battle really. Just aim and shoot at the power cells with the turret. The only complication that I find is that the sights for the turret seem very off at long range. I don't know how many time I would waist TONS of shot on a single power cell from long range only to finally hit it with it flew to close range. As usual, don't overheat the turret. One major tip that I can offer is to avoid staying zoomed in on power cells. The turret cannot turn near as fast when zoomed and Mondo is shooting moving targets so you'll be turning the targeting cursor often. --------------- Reckless Riding --------------- Objective: Crash into at least 25 Wires in the four laps The controls for this mission are the same as the campaign episode where Mondo was on a motorcycle: .-----------------------------------. | Left Analog | Lean | | Left Analog + tap X | Change Lane | | Square | Attack | | Circle | Block | '-----------------------------------' Mondo must hit a total of 25 Wires while riding a motorcycle along the roads in a total of 4 laps in order to complete this mission. Health can be a big issue in this mission since you will most likely have to take some damage in order to hit a total of 25 Wires. The tracks have several spiked log traps along the sides and there are sometimes some red cars that pop out of alley while riding past one - all of these will damage the motorcycle, so try to stay in a lane far away from them. Each lap has a total of 7 Wires standing on it that can be hit. Mondo must run over a Wire that is on the track in order to defeat it. He can slash a Wire, but that takes some good timing. I'd highly advise you to constantly hold the Block button in order to avoid taking damage from the gunfire of Gun Wires. Whenever Gun Wires first see Mondo, they will open fire almost immediately as he drives toward them. This will help to take some damage and it all adds up quickly, so be ready to block at all times. Mondo will come upon Heavy Mace Wires and Gun Wires, so not all of them will shoot at his motorcycle. In order to hit some Wires, it is a good idea to lean the motorcycle toward them while staying in the same lane as them. Try to hit all seven wires in the first three tracks and you'll only need to hit 4 more Wires in the final track. TIP: There are some health replenishers at the start of each track. Be sure to pick these up to help out. A good way to tell which lane they will be on at the start of each lap is to pause the game as the lap begins and then take a careful look at which lane to get into in order to collect them. ----------- Time Cursed ----------- Objective: Sneak through the Wires area and light all the lanterns and take back the Japanese doll Mondo must find each lantern in the stage and light them all then make his way back to seal of the star where he starts to collect a Japanese doll. Mondo has to find a total of NINE lanterns and light them. Each lantern is shown by a red light pillar that moves down from the sky and onto the lantern - the locations are not that hard to spot. Mondo must interact with each lantern and he will use his lighter to light the lantern. While doing all of this, Mondo's health will constantly drain. He can refill it with the Healing special skill if that has been bought and if he has the blood to do so. It's important to break all breakable objects that Mondo runs into during this sub-mission. The breakable objects are few in number (often hidden and in obscure areas) and the replenishers in them are Mondo's LIFELINE in this mission. Try to avoid fights as much as possible. Mondo will have to pass by Gun Drones that have searchlights. Either shoot them or avoid them. The Bomb Wires (eyeball Wires) can be defeated for extra blood pickups, but they are often standing out in the water to where Mondo can't get to the pickups, so it's basically useless to shoot them. There is a new tentacle enemy that will appear at two of the lantern locations - run up to the four tentacles and slash them with the sword to knock them out of the way. Once all lanterns are lit, run back to the star seal and collect the Japanese doll from it. Even on the trip back, Mondo will still continue to lose health, so heal when necessary. ------------ Weight Limit ------------ Objective: Eliminate Wires lurking in the underground elevator and successfully reach the top floor. Capacity: 2 Wires For this sub-mission, Mondo will must ride an elevator to the top floor and defeat Wires while the elevator rises. The elevator can only hold two Wires at a time and any more than that will cause the elevator to start to lower. The Adrenaline Burst slash is ever so useful here. Activate Adrenaline instantly whenever two or more Wires are present and slash one to kill it. Since the Andrenaline Burst auto-targets the closest Wire, this is a great way to simply find a Wire that is on the elevator since you can't always move the camera quick enough to find your next target. Making a strong beginning is VERY beneficial to completing this sub-mission. Mondo starts with no blood at all in his blood gauge, so start slicing the beginning enemies and try to kill them off as quickly as possible. Allow for two Wires to start on the elevator at a time from the start and only activate Adrenaline Burst whenever a third hops onto the elevator. Try to work up somewhere over a 50 combo to gain a bunch of blood then start killing with finishers. Enemies cycle between Club Wires, Unarmed Wires and Gun Wires. It's very easy to AAA-rank this mission because of Adrenaline Burst slashes. The only problem you might have is when Mondo starts to run low in blood, but if you make a strong beginning, he won't run low until the last few Wires, so at that time, you don't have to be as aggressive. _______________________________________________________________________________ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ SCARLETT LOCATIONS _______________________________________________________________________________ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ [SL00] --------------------------------------------------------------------- Episode 1 NONE --------------------------------------------------------------------- Episode 2 NONE --------------------------------------------------------------------- Episode 3 _ |_| Scarlett (01/20) - In the first room of episode 3, move up the stairs and Scarlett will be off to the right once Mondo reaches the top. _ |_| Scarlett (02/20) - While in the room with the objects (stairs, etc) on the surrounding ceilings and walls, find the pink heart pattern on the floor and stand on it for a few seconds. After a while of standing on it, it will rise up to higher walkway and Scarlett will be at the end of that walkway. _ |_| Scarlett (03/20) - On the way to the stage boss, Mondo will have to run down a long hall with breakable porcelain cats along the sides of it. Break all the cats and Scarlett will be inside of one of them. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Episode 4 _ |_| Scarlett (04/20) - After stepping one of the many paintings, Mondo will be in a room near a set of stairs. Run down to the room that opened and enter the blue room. Scarlett is inside the vase that is off to the right and closet to the door so break it. _ |_| Scarlett (06/20) - Once Mondo reenters the Foyer and is prepared to enter the painting that will take him to the courtyard, the sound that signifies Scarlett's appearance can be heard as soon as he enters the Foyer. Run to the top of the stairs in the Foyer and Scarlett will be in front of the balcony that overlooks the courtyard. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Episode 5 NONE --------------------------------------------------------------------- Episode 6 _ |_| Scarlett (07/20) - In the area where Vivienne helps Mondo by blasting the Wires, be sure to break the crates up underneath the stairs before leaving since Scarlett is inside one of them. _ |_| Scarlett (08/20) - While on the platform that can be rotated, use the control panel to rotate it toward one of the rooms and then enter it. There will be a control panel off to the right in one of the rooms. Activate that control panel then the monitor in the back of the room will explode along with the rest of the wall and Scarlett will be revealed in the hidden room that is revealed. _ |_| Scarlett (09/20) Eventually Mondo will enter a stairway area where there is a space to the right that has a crate in it. Scarlett is in the crate. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Episode 7 _ |_| Scarlett (10/20) While retrieving the scroll that is across a bridge and an arch near the bridge, stand in the middle of the bridge and find the waterfall off to the right. There is a Bomb Wire (eyeball wire) up above that waterfall. Blast the Bomb Wire while standing on the bridge and it will knock over a tree that will stop the flow of water. Scarlett will be revealed in the cave behind the waterfall. To get over to her, make your way to the rock bridge that is nearby and walk along the stone path that leads to her. _ |_| Scarlett (11/20) Near the exit door to the area where Mondo must collect the scrolls, there is a raccoon on top of the roof of the building off to the right of the door. Move behind the building to find a stone that can be broken with Mondo's drill weapon. Break it and slash the glowing bamboo tree in the forest of bamboo trees to find Scarlett. (REQUIRES DRILL WEAPON) _ |_| Scarlett (12/20) After finding all scrolls, the exit gate will open. Step through the exit gate, and IMMEDIATELY look to the left to see Scarlett off to the left behind the gate. Don't walk too far or the camera will remain fixed directly ahead. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Episode 8 NONE --------------------------------------------------------------------- Episode 9 _ |_| Scarlett (13/20) After using the turret to defeat the sniper and destroy the explosive canisters, shoot the crates behind the area where the explosive canisters were to reveal Scarlett. _ |_| Scarlett (14/20) This Scarlett location must be found during the timed portion in Episode 9. After exiting the stairway where Mondo must deal with an Eye Wire, the next room will have a stack of crates on the right side of the room. Break them and then use the drill arm to break the weak wall behind them to find Scarlett in the hidden room behind the wall (REQUIRES DRILL WEAPON). _ |_| Scarlett (15/20) In the room where Vivienne helps Mondo once again, cross the bridge and break all the crates in the room off to the left to find Scarlett. _ |_| Scarlett (16/20) After finishing off a Master Ogre Wire, Mondo will enter a room with a staircase. While standing at the bottom of the stairs, there is a small space to the right where Mondo can move to an area below the stairs. He will have to move by three metal crates. The space under the stairs is VERY dark. There is a wooden crate next to the third metal crate up under the stairs that can be broken open to reveal Scarlett. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Episode 10 _ |_| Scarlett (17/20) In the train cart room with the test tubes, move to the back of the left set of test tubes to find a control panel. Activate the control panel to make Scarlett appear. _ |_| Scarlett (18/20) In the train cart room that has several snipers, some of which are on high walkways, move up one of the side ramps to reach the top and find the crate that is on the right side of the walkways (right side when first entering) and break it to reveal Charlotte. _ |_| Scarlett (19/20) After blasting all of the train cannons and Wires with the turret that Bryan leaves Mondo with, a door in the back of the train cart will open and reveal a red room. On the way to that room, look off to the right and climb the ladder on one of the crates and then break open the wooden crate at the top to reveal Scarlett. _ |_| Scarlett (20/20) After climbing the ladder to reach the top of the train, Mondo will be in a maze of metal crates and breakable crates and a Sniper Wire will keep respawning in the back of the area to attack him. Stay on the right side and break the wooden crates on that side and Scarlett will be inside of one of them. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Episode 11 NONE -------------------------------------------------------------------- Episode 12 NONE _______________________________________________________________________________ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ TROPHIES _______________________________________________________________________________ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ [TR00] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- 9 to 1 on Goliath Completed Episode 4. More to come later! -- September 3, 2013 Finished adding all Scarlett locations and added a trophy section. Added some better formatting for boss fights and a better ASCII header. I'll add in the side missions soon. Probably not going to go into detail for AAA-ranks for those wondering. -- September 4, 2013 All Side Mission are now up in the Side Missions section (Gigolo missions and Sub-Missions). Some of the Trophy descriptions have some extra details with them. The Basics section has some added info. I won't be adding much more to this guide. Killer is Dead just isn't good enough for me to go way in-depth with it like I usually do with a game that I write for. =\ I might add the Scarlett locations in their own section eventually. -- September 26, 2013 Added all Scarlett locations in their own separate section. I'll try to make this a formatted guide in the next few days - mainly, I want to have practice with a formatted guide for my upcoming Arkham Origins guide! I assure you, it will be much better than this craptastic and extremely rushed guide! :) ******************************************************************************* CONTACT INFO [CI00] ******************************************************************************* I can be reached at my email address, which is berserker_kev(at)yahoo.com, so please contact me if you have any questions, comments, etc. Replace the (at) with @. I don't mind receiving emails at all. Don't add me to your Yahoo Messenger though; I use Yahoo Messenger only for close friends. You can contact me through Xbox or PSN. I'm online nearly all the time. Don't send a friend request though. Xbox LIVE Gamertag: Berserker Kev PSN: Berserker_Kev I do have a few guidelines however: 1) Give me a subject in the email, preferably one including the name of the game. An actual subject looks damn sexy in my inbox compared to an unattractive blank subject line. 2) Read the guide over and make sure that your question is not already answered. 3) Please speak in English and attempt to use some correct grammar. This is in no way meant to offend those that cannot speak English well. I have spoken with some readers that claim they cannot speak English when, in fact, they speak better English then some Americans. So basically if you "try" to talk to me then that is good enough. :) And last, but not least, if you found this walkthrough helpful, an email would be most appreciated. It is very true that I write these guides as a hobby, but just that little email that lets me know that I have helped someone always makes me feel special for about five minutes. Don't worry, I won't tell anyone on the gaming boards that you used a guide. ;) If you have a youtube account, you could also give me a subscription on youtube. I promise to keep you entertained with plenty of Chris Redfield action! www.youtube.com/BerserkerSTARS ******************************************************************************* ABOUT ME [AM00] ******************************************************************************* My name is Kevin Hall. I'm 33 years old and live in the US, in a small town in Mississippi. Ever since I was really young, I have been a huge fan of video games since I was first introduced to them via the Atari 2600 and NES 8-bit. My favorite gaming series is the Resident Evil series followed closely by the Castlevania series. I'm a complete horror gaming junkie - survival horrors are my main cup of tea. Capcom is my favorite video game company. They hardly ever let me down when it comes to games with plenty of replay value. "Want intense detail? Go Berserk(er)!" I try my best to put as much detail as I can in all my guides. I have had remarks that I get ridiculously detailed or come across as long-winded, but that's just the way I write. When I write, I type out what I would want if I was looking for an online strategy guide or FAQ/Walkthrough - I would want a guide that gave all the details for a game. I would want an encyclopedia... or a wiki in my guide! My known aliases are Berserker or Berserker Kev. Many people call me "Kev" and I've also gained the nickname "Kevo" from the RE Mercs community. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --> My Youtube page: Videos with RE5 Mercs Chris Redfield gameplay and videos for plenty of other games that I have worked on can be found on my youtube page. www.youtube.com/BerserkerSTARS ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --> Berserker: Tear Through the Game (My Gaming Blog) My own site with game reviews, discussions of my guides (some), and random thoughts about video games.
