This is the first guide I've ever written so please be patient with me. Anyway, you've finished the full game and decided to download the epilogue. I've only played the PS3 version but I'm sure the Xbox 360 version is pretty much the same except for controls. Incase you don't know, the epilogue as the name suggests, is a small expansion pack to Prince of Persia. It continues where the whole game left off. There are a few new things you have to learn to finish the epilogue which I will explain in the below sections. Unlike the whole game, the epilogue is linear so the walkthrough will be presented simply. The game is separated into small sections but it isn't obvious about it. I'll try to divide my guide into these sections but the only way I learn the name of each area is by saving the game and checking the location on the save file. Because of this, I may not be accurate of where each section starts and ends. I'll do my best. In this guide, I will also explain how to get each fresco. I'll make a specific part of the guide for it, but I'll mention when you can get to a fresco as I'm writing the main walkthrough. There will also be a trophy (or achievement) guide and FAQ within this guide. Before I finish this introduction; I just want to say, if you want to contact me, send an email to tryagainlater.sr@gmail.com. You can send constructive criticism, suggestions, questions and corrections and please clearly label it as "Epilogue guide". =============================================================================== 2.0 GAME BASICS =============================================================================== 2.1 CONTROLS ============== These are the controls for the PS3 version. Square | Attack X | Jump X (repeatedly) | Sprint Circle | Use/Lift Triangle | Elika L1/L2 | Talk to Elika RI/R2 | Gripfall/Drop/Block and Deflect Start | Pause Menu Left Stick | Move Prince Right Stick | Move Camera 2.2 GAMEPLAY ============== Platforming ------------- Run: Move the left stick to move the prince Jump: Press x to make the prince jump over gaps, towards and from columns vines, etc. Wall-Run: Press x to jump to a wall and start a wall-run. If you press x while wall running; you jump from the wall. It is possible to jump from wall to wall doing this. You can run up or along a wall. Roof-Run: Press x from the top of a column to run along the roof. Grip-fall: Press R1/R2 from a vine, ledge or the top of a wall to slide down a wall. You can control this using the left stick. Slide: If you land on a slope, the Prince will start sliding. You control this using the left stick. Poles: If you grab onto a pole; you can swing jump from it using x. You can move along this using the left stick Rings: You can prolong a wall-run by grapping rings with circle. There are also ring-switches which you can activate using circle. Ledges/Fissures: You can climb along and up these with the left analog stick. You can also start a wall-run from these with x. Beams: These are thin platforms coming out of a wall. You can walk on this with the left stick and jump off with x. Columns: These are wide poles hanging from a ceiling which you can jump to or from with x. You can climb up, down and around with the left stick. Vines: You can climb on vines on walls and cliffs with the left stick. You can jump off or start a wall-run from them with x. Elika Magic ------------- Compass: Elika shows you the way to your next destination with the triangle button. You can pick a destination on the map screen by clicking on where you want to go with x. Elika/Double Jump: Elika can extend your jump with the triangle button. Saving the Prince: If an enemy delivers the final blow on the Prince or the Prince falls off while platforming, Elika will save you automatically. This is basically game over. Combat -------- Prince of Persia uses the same combat system as the whole game. You only fight one enemy at a time to make it more dramatic. The system is very simple to use. There are four buttons to attack and than one to defend. Pressing these buttons in different orders can create different combinations. There is just one new addition in the epilogue. Square - This lets you hit your enemy with your sword X - This jumps over your opponent or jumps towards them. Pressing X can also make the Prince quickstep back and around the enemy. Circle - This throws your opponent using the Prince's gauntlet. Triangle - This makes Elika help you in combat. This can involve her hitting the opponent or her throwing the Prince towards them. R2 - This blocks an opponent's attack. If it is timed right, it can deflect an attack. Quick Time Events - Quick time event will pop up during battle. If you are knocked to the ground and your enemy goes for the final blow, you'll be prompted to push a button to save yourself from dying, even though you can't die in the game. They can come up to dodge other attacks in the game - they don't have to be final blow attacks. Repeatedly pressing the square button is also a prompt in the game. That's usually used when you or the enemy is pushed up against a wall or the edge of a platform. Sprint - This is exclusive to the epilogue. At full health (that means no red around the screen) press X repeatedly. The Prince will sprint towards the enemy and a quick time event will come up. Hit the right button and the Prince will stun the enemy making it easier to start a combo. The Prince's foes can do the same too however. You can defend by hitting the quick time event that comes up when the enemy sprints at the Prince. Power Plates -------------- There are power plates in this game which you need to get into specific areas. They each give you different powers. Step of Ormazd (Orange): This makes the prince do a massive jump in a certain direction. There is no controlling to this plate. Breath of Ormazd (Green): This makes the Prince do a super wall run. You can move the Prince using the left stick. Hand of Ormazd (Blue): This acts like a grappling hook but it's pretty much like the orange power plate. There's no controlling to this either. Energize (the new power plate): It's purple with a lightning bolt in the centre. It acts the same as the orange plate but it creates magic walls that only stay for a limited amount of time. This plate of course is only in the epilogue. =============================================================================== 3.0 CHARACTERS =============================================================================== THIS SECTION CONTAINS SPOILERS OF THE FULL GAME All this information can be found in the manual of the full game or in the conversations throughout the game. The Prince ------------- The Prince is the person the player will be controlling. He isn't actually a prince of a land - it is just a nickname. When the Prince was just a young boy his parents were killed in a war. He believed they died for reasons that did not concern them and now he lives by the philosophy of never getting involved in other people's problems. This might end up changing throughout the game. Since his tragedy, the Prince never likes to stay in the same place for too long. He is a drifter who travels around seeking riches. He has been close to getting what he wants but every time he thinks his dreams have been achieved, some sort of problem comes up and he's stripped of his prizes. On his way back from another adventure with his donkey carrying quite a large amount of gold, he thinks his luck has finally changed. Unfortunately, he is caught in a sandstorm and finds himself caught up in a mission to imprison the god of darkness, Ahriman. At the end of the whole game, the Prince and Elika seal up Ahriman. Unfortunately, Elika dies afterwards. To save Elika, the Prince releases Ahriman from his prison unleashing darkness on the world again. Elika -------- Elika is the princess of a small state. When her mother died, her father could not deal with the grief and abandoned his duties. Since then Elika had to try and lead the kingdom. She deals a great deal about her people and is dedicated to her duties. Because of this, she has been disconnected from the outside world. She is a well-read person but she has not had the chance to experience certain significant things in her life Her people, the Ahura, have guarded the Tree of Life which imprisons the dark god, Ahriman. Elika finds herself fighting to keep this evil being kept within this prison. She loses her life doing so but is brought back by the Prince freeing Ahriman once more. The King ----------- The King of the Ahura is a mourning man and abandoned his duties after his wife died. He left his kingdom fall into ruins and neglected his people. He has been made weak from his suffering which makes his vulnerable to the promises of Ahriman. The King ends up being corrupted himself and isn't human by the end of the game. The Prince and Elika fight his corrupted unhuman form in the epilogue. Ormazd --------- Ormazd is the God of Light and, therefore, an enemy of Ahriman. He sealed Ahriman into the Tree of Life which still keeps him imprisoned to this day. When the war which resulted in this was over, Ormazd was unable to face the destruction that the war had caused. He fled and no one has seen him for many, many years. Elika has put her faith in Ormazd and still believes he cares about his people. He isn't seen in the game or epilogue but he is talked about. Ahriman ---------- As I said above, Ahriman is the God of Darkness. His goal is to get rid of all the light in the world. After he was sealed into the Tree of Life, he started making plans to someday get out and make his dream come true. He knew he could never do something like this by himself so he recruited some followers before he was imprisoned. He was trapped by the Prince and Elika but is freed again, spreading his darkness across the world. He plans to stop Elika and the Prince before they try to stop him, again. The Hunter ------------- The Hunter isn't technically present in the epilogue but I'll put him in here anyway. The Hunter grew up having everything he could ever want. His favourite pastime was to hunt but after he had tracked down and killed every animal he could find, he wanted to hunt the most dangerous creature of all - humans. He went to Ahriman to get what he desired. The Warrior -------------- The Warrior is also technically not present in the epilogue but I'll give him a mention anyway. The Warrior was a king of a peaceful land before violence broke out within in. He knew his kingdom faced destruction so Ahriman offered him a helping hand. He made the Warrior a fearful creature that was capable of killing his enemies. After this, the Warrior realised that he could not go back to his people, so he vowed to spend the rest of his life serving Ahriman. The Shapeshifter ------------------- We don't learn much about this character but we do know he is a disciple of Ahriman who is sent to kill the Prince and Elika. He can transform into the physical forms of the Hunter and the Warrior. He changes in to both during battle to try and kill his targets. =============================================================================== 4.0 WALKTHROUGH =============================================================================== 4.1 Entrance --------------- The game starts with the Prince carrying Elika down some steps and bringing her into a small temple area. He sets her down sealing the door to give himself some time before Ahriman comes after him. Within a few seconds, the Prince Realizes he has barely any time to escape. Elika wakes up, slapping the Prince for bringing her back to life and freeing Ahriman. The Prince tries to reason with her telling her that Ahriman wanted her dead. She runs from him and of course, gets separated from the Prince by a gate. Onwards to adeventure as you can now control the Prince. Run to the beam on the right. Walk out from it and jump to the pole. Swing to the next beam and then jump to another pole. Swing to yet another beam and walk onto the platform. Don't worrying about falling in this part of the game as you can't die. If you fall you can climb back up simply by running up a few walls. You'll see Elika dash ahead of you. Gripfall down the wall below you. Wallrun on the left wall and grab the ring. Continue your wall run jumping to the wall perpendicular to you. Run to the beam and walk out to the end of it. Jump to the ledge and climb to the left. Wallrun, grab the ring and continue to the next ledge. Wallrun safely to the platform. Wallrun on the right wall and jump to the next one, making it to the platform by jumping again from the wall. Wallrun to the ledge on the left and climb onto the beam. Walk to the end and jump to the ledge. Wallrun left to the next ledge and climb down it. Wallrun left to another ledge. Do a final wallrun to the left and jump to the slope. You don't need to control the Prince as he slides down so enjoy the ride before your first fight of the epilogue. Well, the first physical fight on the epilogue. You can't forget the one between the prince and Elika at the moment. You're introduced to the Sprint technique here. Tap X repeatedly to run at the King here. Nail the quick time event when you reach him and he's stunned. Miss it and you're stunned for a few seconds. If you stun him it's easier to start a combo. Elika is temporarily out of action for this battle. If you want her help you can either wait or you can go over to her and she'll get up ready to fight. Her combos are quite helpful so I recommend you go to her while block the King's attacks. He has a few tricks up his corrupted sleeve. He can shoot some short of corrupted, I'll call it slime, onto your screen so you can't see. You can either defend until goes away or smack him with a blind attack to get rid of it. He sometimes does a defensive move where it looks like black tentacles are coming out of him and he stays black then for a while. This means that only Elika can be used to start a combo. If you knock him against a wall you will be prompted to repeatedly press square. If you succeed you will take a significant amount of health from him. If you don't, he'll injure the Prince. He can knock you against a wall too and you'll be prompted to mash square. If you succeed you will defend but you won't take any life from him. If you fail, the Prince of course will be injured. Also, the King can regain health. You'll notice it when it looks like some kind of blue stuff is going into him. I don't really know how to explain it but you'll see his health going up anyway. There isn't much else to say really - use the new Sprint move and use some nice combos. You can take him down quickly. You'll be knocked into another room after the fight. 4.2 Alleyway --------------- The Prince tries to talk with Elika so they can escape but she's still not willing to forgive him. You're going to wallrun on the left wall here. There's four balls of corruption here. The first one comes down while the next three come down. Time it right a start the wallrun just as the last 3 go up. Jump to the pole when you get it right. Swing to the wall when the next four balls are going up and grab the ring. Continue the wall run and jump to the column. Aim at the wall opposite the one you jumped from. There are 2 corruption balls here. When the left one is at the top, jump to the wall. Double jump from here to the pole. When the tentacles of corruption aren't shooting from the wall and the ball on the far wall is at the top, swing and double jump to the wall, and jump to the column. Aim at wall with the next 2 balls and jump when they're at the bottom. Wallrun on this wall and double jump to the parallel wall, and you should wall run over the 2 balls. You'll encounter a soldier here. You can finish him easily by knocking him against a wall or the edge of the platform. Just before I continue, I just want to say one thing. The names I give to the corruption trying to kill you like balls and tentacles. I'm pretty sure they haven't been given official names so I'm just making it up. You should be able to figure out what I'm talking about, hopefully. Continue forward and get ready to wall run to the ring on the right wall. There are 3 balls of corruption here. For a short period of time, all 3 are at the top. Jump then, grab the ring and double jump to the next wall. Continue wallrunning, grabbing 2 rings and jumping to the pole. When the next 2 balls are at the bottom, swing to the next wall and grab the ring. Then double jump to the beam. When the next 3 balls are at the top, wallrun to the ring and jump to the pole. Again, when the next 3 balls are at the top of the wall, swing and wallrun to the ring and double jump to the pole. Just worry about the first 2 balls here. When they are as high as they go. Swing to the wall, grab the ring, jump to the opposite wall and jump to the pole. From here, observe the corruption balls. Swing jump when you see the first one at the top of the wall. Grab the 2 rings while wallrunning and jump to the platform. Finish of the soldier here easily. Continue forward by wallrunning on the wall to your right. Double jump from this wall to the next one and grab the ring. You'll make it to a platform with a soldier. Finish him off and continue. Wallrun on the right and grab the ring to turn the corner. Jump from this wall to the perpendicular one and double jump to the pole. Swing and double jump to the wall ahead of you. Jump from this to the next wall and grab the 2 following rings to turn the corner. From this wall, double jump to the column. Aim at the platform with the soldier and double jump. You know the drill. Finish the soldier off quickly. Turn the camera until you see an opening in the wall. Double jump to the corridor. Jump over the 3 small pools of corruption as you jump forward, dodging the tentacles at the third. Run up the wall on the left, grabbing the ring to get to the ledge. Shimmy all the way around to the end of the ledge. When the tentacles are not attacking, run up the wall and grab the ring. You should be at another ledge. Shimmy all the way around to the left. You should have your back to a gap and ledge at the wall across from you. When there are no tentacles, jump to that ledge. Shimmy to the left and climb up on the platform. 4.3 Water Tank ----------------- Jump to the opposite platform and turn to face the poles. Double jump to all of the 3 poles and at the third one, simply jump to the ledge. Shimmy to the left when the tentacles under the ledge at the centre isn't attacking. At the end of the ledge, wallrun from it, grab the ring, jump to the perpendicular wall and continue to the next ledge. Climb up to the top of the ledge or I guess the fissure as the vertical ledges are called. Dodge the tentacles and wallrun up the wall, grabbing the ring making it to the ledge. Shimmy right to the beam and walk to the end of it. Jump to the platform in front of you. When you run forward here, you'll start to choke in corrupted air. Just get try to get through these areas as quickly as you can. Run ahead anyway, running up the wall, grabbing the ring and making it to the ledge. Shimmy all the wall to the left of the ledge and double jump across to the ring behind you. Grab the ring and then the second one to get to the ledge. Shimmy to the right and wallrun when the tentacles are in the wall. Grab the ring and make it safely to the platform. You'll be introduced to the first fresco of the epilogue here. There are 10 in the game. I'll give more detail on how to get them in a separate section. Run through the doorway to the lever. Push or pull it anticlockwise 90 degrees to bring down the ring. When you're safe from the corruption, wallrun grabbing both rings and the ledge. Shimmy to the end of the ledge and wallrun to the right. Gripfall, staying slightly to the left so you can dodge the tentacles. Once you're on the platform, grab the lever. Push or pull it anticlockwise 90 degrees to set the ring right. Wallrun on the left, grab the ring and the ledge. Climb to the right of the ledge, and wallrun up to grab the ring and grab onto the vines. Climb up the vines to the top and get ready to wallrun and grab the ring. Wait till the tentacles aren't shooting out of the wall to jump up. Once on the vines above, climb to the right and wallrun. Grab all 3 rings and wait for the Prince to gripfall automatically. Push the Prince to the right to dodge the corruption and make it to the platform. Grab the lever here and push or pull it anticlockwise 90 degrees to get the ledge in the right position. Jump to the section you just turned and wallrun up to the ledge. Shimmy right around it and you should have your back to a wall. Jump and wallrun to get to yet another ledge. Climb around it to the edge. Wallrun from here, grabbing 2 rings to turn the corner and then a third ring to continue the wallrun. From that wall, jump to make it to the ledge. Shimmy right around until your back is facing a platform across from you. Double jump to clear the gap. Grab the lever and push or pull it half a rotation to set the wall right. Wallrun on said wall to grab 3 rings and a ledge. From that ledge, continue wallrunning, grabbing another 2 rings and jump to a platform. Grab the lever here and rotate it one and a half time to get the ring right. Wallrun on the left wall to get to the ledge. Shimmy to the end of the ledge and wallrun to a ring and then to a fissure. Climb up to the top of the fissure and wallrun up to a ring and to another fissure. Climb up it to a ledge and wallrun to the right. Jump to the perpendicular wall and continue to the next ledge. Wallrun from here, grabbing the ring and gripfalling to the platform. Turn till you see a series of pillars in front of you. Jump to the beam between two of these pillars. Turn left and jump up to a ledge. Climb around it and drop to a beam. Walk to the end of it and jump to the next beam. Facing the pillar, turn to double jump to the right to get to the another beam. You are now in corrupted air so move quickly. Jump up the ledge, climb around and drop to the beam. Walk out from this beam and jump to the beam to the right. Jump to the beam across from this one and then double jump to the left from that beam. Jump up the pillar to the ring to the ledge escaping the corrupted air. Shimmy around the ledge and drop to the beam. Walk out from the beam and double jump to the big platform ahead of you. I hope you could understand what I was describing. It was a bit difficult to write out. On this platform, you'll encounter the Shapeshifter for the first time. He'll start off as the Warrior, a massive enemy. The Warrior will most likely sprint at you first so be prepared to hit the button prompt to defend. To defeat the Warrior form, you have to knock him to the edge. You can continuously hit him with your sword and Elika and push him to the edge. You can also walk to the edge and lure him in. Once he's close enough to you, roll under his legs with the jump button and attack him with either your sword, Elika or your gauntlet. You can push him a short distance to the edge then. Once he's up against the edge, you will be prompted to hit the square button repeatedly. If you succeed, he will transform into his next body. The Warrior's attacks can be deadly so remember to block. If you defeated the Warrior form, the Shapeshifter will change into the Hunter. The Hunter is an agile enemy who uses a three bladed weapon. He is vicious with it but sometimes he sneakily attacks you with his empty left hand. The quickest way to defeat him is to knock him to the edge and mash the square prompt. You can do this quickly here by sprinting at him and starting a combo that will push him towards the edge. If you don't defeat him quickly enough, the Shapeshifter will change back into the Warrior and the process will continue. You can finish him quickly another way by just using some really long combos and not giving him a chance to transform. Either way, this battle isn't too hard. When he's defeated, you will get a short cutscene before you can move on. Turn the camera until you see a doorway in a wall. Double jump to the doorway and run in. You can get another fresco here by using the ring on the left. Run to the end of the room until you see a hole. Over this gap, there's a ledge on the opposite wall. Jump to it and then gripfall down to the ring. Grab the ring and drop safely to a platform. 4.4 Chimney -------------- On this platform, face to the 2 corruption balls. When they've gone up, wallrun to the ledge. Shimmy over to the end and wallrun to the next ledge. Stay to the left of this ledge for the time being. You'll see a ball beside you and one below you. Climb to the right when the top ball goes to the right. When the bottom ball goes to the left, drop down to the lower ledge and shimmy over quickly. Jump up to the next ledge when the top ball is over to the left. On this ledge, wallrun to the fissure to the right when it's safe to cross from the corruption. Gripfall here and slide left to stay in the middle of the two corruption trails. Don't go left to quickly so you won't drown in the two corruption balls you just dodged. You should land on the platform safely. Wallrun to the next ledge but stay to the left of it. You'll see a ball beside you. When it's going to the right follow it. When it's coming back towards you, jump up to the ledge above and shimmy to the centre of it. Follow the ball to the right of you when it's going to the right. Do the same as last time and jump up to the ledge when it's coming back towards you. Shimmy to the right of this ledge. When the 2 corruption balls are going up here, wallrun and grab the ring to make it to the fissure. Gripfall down this wall, and go to the right between the two slits where corruption goes in or out of. Stay between the corruption trails here until you have to slide left to dodge more corruption. Continue sliding down to the ground where you will have to fight a soldier. Finish him off easily. From this platform, double jump to the ledge across over the corruption. Elika should aim you so you won't be killed. Gripfall between the trails of corruption and slide left between the 2 openings that allow corruption in or out. Continue falling to the ledge and shimmy to the right. Wallrun to the ring and to the ledge. Follow the corruption ball to the right and wallrun up to the ledge when it's coming back. Climb to the right and wallrun when it's safe. Grab the ring to make it to the ledge. Shimmy on the ledge until you over the bit of the wall that isn't over a corruption trail. Gripfall and slide left between two openings. Continue sliding straight until you have to go left to dodge another trail. Shortly after that, you have to slide right to dodge another. When you're just past the last opening letting corruption out, double jump from the wall to land safely on the platform. 4.5 Hammam ------------- Run forward into the next room to be faced by more corruption covered walls and corrupted filled air. You're safe from the air until you start wallrunning. There should be 3 balls on the right ball going away from the Prince and going back to him. Just after they've come back and start going away, start the wallrun. Double jump to the parallel wall just as the balls start coming back again. You should be behind 3 more balls. Grab the ring on this wall and just before the Prince runs into the corruption walls, double jump to the last wall. There should be corruption balls behind and in front of you on this wall. Grab the two rings while wallrunning and just before the Prince runs into the balls of corruption, double jump again to the parallel wall. Grab the ring and jump to the platform ahead. You're out of the corrupted air now. Turn to the corner on the platform and start wallrunning. Jump to the opposite wall and then back again. Then jump to the perpendicular wall and jump again into the next room. There's a big corruption puddle here so you can't move much. There's columns suspended from the roof however. Wallrun up the wall opposite the column closest to you. Jump from the wall to grab the column. Climb up part of the way and double jump to the next column. You should be facing the wall. Jump to the wall and then jump to the column. Slide down to the bottom of this column and jump to the fissure behind you. Climb up it and shimmy around on the ledge. Wallrun and gripfall at the end of the run to dodge the corruption. Push or pull the lever here, 90 degrees to lift the massive door. Walk through dodging all the corruption until you make it to the wall. Run up it and jump back to make it to the column. Turn to the next column and double jump. Face the wall with the ring and jump, grabbing the ring to make it to the ledge. Climb up onto the fissure and make your way to the top. Shimmy left onto a ledge and drop down onto the platform. Run on the platform and a cutscene showing the new plate will be shown. I'm sure you can figure out what you have to do next. If not I'll tell you. That is the point of the guide after all. Anyway, you have to use this new plate. Shocker, ay? This plate, by the way, acts like the orange or red if you prefer plate in the main game. It does a super jump but it creates blue magic walls temporarily. Just some information on me, I see the super jump plates as orange. On the internet I've seen them being called red but I want to say orange. I apologize if that annoys you but it just makes sense to me. Some people do agree with me though. This paragraph is seeming awfully pointless now. Back onto the point, use the Energize plate to jump to an orange plate to another and to a platform. You're able to get a fresco from here so see the fresco section for more information. You'll see the magic blue walls pop up. Wallrun to the fissure and climb up to the ledge. Shimmy around it to the end and wallrun over the magic wall to the ring and over the second magic wall and jump to the platform. Turn the lever 90 degrees and you'll see the corruption pool go down. You haven't escaped yet as Elika points out though. Use the orange plate to jump to a wall and land on the platform. Wallrun here, grabbing 2 rings on the way. Jump to the opposite wall and then jump back to the wall you were just on. Continuing the wallrun, jump to another wall opposite the one you're running on now. Jump back again to the last wall and make it to the purple plate. Writing that down sound horribly repetitive. Use the plate and be bounced to a wallrun. Jump from this wall to the magic wall, back to the normal wall, and to another magic wall and to the normal wall again. Still wallrunning, double jump to the perpendicular wall over the corruption. Still running, grab the ring and jump to the platform. Turn the lever 90 degrees to drain more of the corruption pool. Continuing on, wallrun to the next platform using the ring on the way. Use the purple plate here to be rebounded to the newly formed magic wall behind you. Wallrun up this wall (well that will be done automatically from the power plate but I'll say it anyway) and double jump to the wall behind you over the corruption to the fissure. Climb up the fissure and shimmy left on the ledge. Wallrun, grab the ring, jump to the parallel magic wall and jump back to the normal wall to make it to the purple plate. You'll do a super jump to a wall. You'll be wallrunning and jump to the magic wall and back again to use a purple power plate. You'll be bounced to a wallrun on a magic wall. Jump from this wall to an opposite magic wall. Then from this wall, double jump to the next one and then finally jump to a small magic wall to run and use the orange plate. You'll jump to 2 more plates before landing on the platform you want. Turn the lever here to completely drain the corruption pool. Also you can get to a fresco here by jumping to a ledge using one of the pillars here. Use the orange plate here to bounce to another plate and then to a wall. Run on the wall for a second before gripfalling to an orange plate. After bouncing off 2 more plates, you'll land at the bottom of the room, where a short cutscene is shown. The cutscene shows the Shapeshifter in the Hunter form jumping down to start a second battle with you. Once he reaches the ground, he transforms into the Warrior. There isn't anything new here except the battle area is laid out differently. There were no walls the last time so you have to be more strategic in how you push the Warrior as there are only four small drops to push him off. It's probably easier to lure him to one. Go to the edge of these areas and let him come to you. Roll under his legs and hit him with your sword or Elika to get the prompt. He'll then of course, change into the Hunter. He'll most likely sprint at you before you get the chance. Block his attack and then try to push him over the edge as quickly as you can. If not use some good combos or the sprint move to finish him. Again, if you don't kill the Hunter form quick enough, you'll have to go through the Warrior again. Do whatever you can to finish off the Shapeshifter and remember to block his attacks as well. Once you're done with the Shapeshifter, you're going to have to leave using one of the four holes in the walls around you. You obviously use the one that isn't covered in corruption. You'll see a ledge there that you'll have to double jump to. Shimmy to the right of the ledge and gripfall down the wall to a lower ledge, making sure you don't fall into any corruption. Shimmy all the way to the left of this ledge. If you look down, you'll see a corruption ball moving around. It will come up towards the ledge you're clinging onto. When it's starts moving back down, wait a second and follow it down, gripfalling towards the ledge slightly to the left. Wait for the ball to go back up again and wallrun to drop down onto a platform, making sure you miss the corruption. Double jump over the large corruption puddle in front of you and run up the wall ahead to the fissure. Climb up to the top and wallrun up and jump back to grab a pole. Swing to the fissure in front of you and climb up to the top of it. Do the same as last time and run up the wall so you can jump behind you to the pole. Swing to the wall ahead, so you can run up it and double jump behind you to grab a fissure. Climb up to the top of it and watch the corruption ball above you. When it's to the right of left, run up the wall and double jump back to land safely on a platform. 4.6 Avenue ------------- On the left wall here, there will be 2 balls of corruption. Wallrun to the fissure when both of them have gone up. Climb up to the top of it and shimmy out on the ledge. Wallrun to the next ledge when the corruption isn't in your way. Climb right and down to the bottom of the fissure. When you have a clear path from the corruption, wallrun to the next fissure and climb down to the ledge. When the next corruption ball goes up, wallrun to grab the ring. Double jump from this wall to the next one. You'll be chased by a corruption enemy here so move quickly. Double jump again to the next wall and continue wallrunning to grab the ring and turn the corner to the fissure. You'll be in corrupted air so continue to move quickly. Climb up the fissure to the ledge. Wallrun to the next fissure when the ball is out of your way. Climb to the top of it and wallrun up when it's safe. Shimmy to the right and again, when the path is clear, wallrun to the next fissure. Slide down to the bottom of the fissure and when the corruption ball goes up, wallrun to the fissure. You'll be safe from the corrupted air now. Move down the fissure and shimmy all the way right on the ledge. Wallrun to the ring and jump from the wall to the platform. A corrupted soldier will await you here so finish him off quickly and continue forward. On the left wall, you should see quite a few balls of corruption and a ring. When the first two balls go up, start your wallrun and grab the ring. Continue wallrunning and jump to the perpendicular wall. Grab the next ring to turn the corner and make it to the ledge. You'll be faced by corrupted air. Shimmy to the right of the ledge and jump up to the next one when the corruption isn't in your way. Do the same here to make it to the next ledge. Shimmy to the right here and wallrun when the corruption ball isn't in your way. You'll end up gripfalling to a ledge. Climb to the right and up the fissure to escape the corrupted air. At the top of the fissure, wallrun up to a ledge when the ball of corruption isn't blocking you. Wallrun to the right and grab the ring to turn the corner. Jump to the perpendicular wall to continue running to the ledge. Climb over to the right and look down. You'll see a ball moving up and down. When it's moving down, follow it and gripfall slightly to the left to make it safely to another ledge. Wallrun to the right and double jump to the parallel wall and jump to the next platform. There'll be a soldier here so finish him off quickly. There'll be a large door here that you can simply open by grabbing the ring beside it. 4.7 Garden ------------- Walk into the large room and you'll see 2 levers. Before I continue, just be aware that there are 2 paths to frescos here - one to your left and one to your right. Turn the left lever 90 degrees and the right lever 90 degrees. The two big sections should have moved closer together slightly and the column should be turned to face both of them. Jump to the column and climb to the top. Point yourself towards the left section and double jump. Wallrun to the ring and turn the corner. Grab the next ring and jump to the column. You'll be in corrupted air now. Just move as quick as you can and you'll be fine. Double jump to the next column and climb up to the top of it. Jump to the wall and grab the 2 rings. At the top of the wall, double jump back to another column. Make sure you're facing the next wall and double jump to it. Wallrun along it and gripfall when you're over the ring. Grab that ring to swing under the wall and continue roofrunning. Grab the ring in the middle and at the end to make it up onto the platform and out of corrupted air. Just incase you don't know; what you're trying to do here is open the big door by removing all the bars. You should see a ring here which you need to pull to open one bar. Well, pull that ring now and get back to where you started using the orange power plate there which rebounds you to 2 more plates. Back on the platform with the levers, turn the left one anticlockwise 90 degrees. Leave the column as it is and jump to it. You see the 2 red marks on the column? Well, place the Prince just above the first one and face the left section. Jump to the wall and then double jump to the parallel wall on the right section. Grab the ring to turn the corner and continue wallrunning. Double jump to the opposite wall and grab another ring to turn another corner. Jump to the perpendicular wall, grabbing the ring and jumping again to the perpendicular wall. You should wallrun to a vine. Climb up as high as you can on the vine and wallrun up. Double back to the wall behind you and wallrun up and then double back to the previous wall. Grab the ring and then double jump backwards to the column. You'll be in corrupted air now. Double jump to the next column and climb up to the top of it. Roofrun and grab the 2 rings here. You'll end up wallrunning up a wall where you will need to double jump to the opposite wall. On this wall, after you wallrun up it double jump back to land on the platform. Pull the ring down to move the second bar. Use the orange plate and then 2 more to get back to the original platform. Turn the left lever anticlockwise 90 degrees again to make the 2 sections touch eachother. Turn the right lever whatever way you can so that the column is facing straight towards the sections - the right one to be exact. Jump to the column and climb up to the top. Double jump to the vines and climb out to the right. Wallrun and gripfall to the ring below. Roofrun to the next ring and grab the ring after to swing out onto a wallrun. At the top of your run, jump back to a wall behind you and then jump back to the previous wall. Continue this until you're on top of the platform. Pull the ring down to finally open the big door. Use the orange plate here and then 2 more to get back to the familiar platform. The way will be open to you now. Jump to the famous column and double jump to the next. Double jump to the recently raised platform and run through the open door. Run to the end and gripfall down the wall. I bet you can guess that some sort of battle is coming up in this room. Well, if you did, you would be right. You'll be facing the King in this battle. You have fought him before so you know what to expect as he doesn't add anything drastic to his move repertoire. Block, counter or evade all his attacks. You can use sprint to help start a combo. The King will most likely start the fight with a sprint attack so be prepared to counter that with a button prompt. Pushing him against a wall or him pushing you against a wall will give you a prompt to mash the square button. It's in your best interests to succeed. You'll only take health from him if you hit the quick time event when you knock him against the wall. He'll do a defensive move where it looks like tentacles are shooting out of him and he goes completely black. This means you have to start the combo with an Elika attack. Also, he shoots corruption onto your face which covers the screen. You can just block until it disappears. Hitting him will make it go quicker though. Use whatever combos you want and defeat him. Fairly simple. Just don't let him replenish his health for too long. 4.8 Tunnel ------------- After the cutscene, continue on through the door that just opened. Run down the hall and jump to the column. Climb up to the top and double jump to the wall. Grab the 2 rings to get to the top. I found this next part the hardest part in the Epilogue. You may find it easy but it took me a few tries. It may take a bit of practice for you too. Run along the right wall here to grab the ring and get to the green plate. Keep running straight and follow the trail going left of the corruption. Go in between to 2 small walls and dodge the corruption. Keep following the trail to go in between 3 more sets of walls. You'll be running slightly to the right as you do this. You'll make it to another green plate. From that plate, follow the trail that verges to the left going past the little walls. You'll be going straight for a few seconds until you'll have to verge left again in between sets of walls. You'll go over a curve in the track and be running towards a wall. Steer quickly to the right to make it to the next green plate. Go straight and steer left to dodge a wall and then steer right immediately to dodge another. Keep going straight and you'll make it safely onto a platform. Run on the wall on the left and jump to the perpendicular wall. Grab the ring to turn the corner and start another green plate run. When you start, there'll a be a curve in the track. You don't need to steer the Prince at all until you see the second curve. You'll be hurtling towards a wall once you cover it so steer left or right to dodge it. Just keep following the trail in the tunnel to dodge the walls. You'll have to keep going left and right past them until you make it to another green plate. From there, verge left to dodge the corruption but don't fall down the holes. Keep going and there will be more walls to dodge. Steer past them and follow the trail if you want. The last wall on this track is on a large wooden beam. You'll have to go far to the left to dodge it and then come back to the right to make it up to the platform. Sorry if I was hard to understand there. It's difficult to explain every part of the tunnel specifically. Anyway, wallrun on the left wall and grab the ring. At the end of the run, double jump over the corruption into the closed in area where there's no chance of an ambush. Okay, I lied. The Shapeshifter is ready to ambush you here. As usual, it will start off as the Warrior who will sprint at you first so be prepared for that. As you know by now, you have to push the Warrior off the platform to beat that form. Unfortunately, the only place to do that is the small little gate at the end of the room. Either push him there or lure him there and then roll under his legs. Be warned that if either forms go blue, you can only start with a sword attack and if they go black you can only start with an Elika attack. If you nail the button prompt to push off the edge, you'll be faced by the Hunter form. When he appears, he'll sprint at you so counter it with the button prompt. The quickest thing to do is push him to the edge using a long combos. If you don't, you can deplete his health using whatever moves you want. Just remember to counter and block his attacks. If you don't finish the Hunter fast enough, the Shapeshifter will change back into the Warrior and you'll have to repeat the whole process. Try to finish the fight quickly. After the battle and the Prince's witty comments, you'll have to do another green power plate run. Double jump to it from the gate and get ready. Steer around this wooden beam to the right away from the corruption and in between 2 walls. Keep going right following the trail. You should eventually see a large section of corruption in front of you so steer again to the right. Continue following the trail and you'll make it onto a platform. 4.9 Tomb ----------- Walk forward to trigger a cutscene to learn about an old king of the Ahura. On this platform, you should see 2 levers and an energize plate on the wall. Turn the left lever anticlockwise 180 degrees to move the walls ahead of you down to where you want them to be. Turn the right lever anticlockwise 180 degrees to tilt the walls flat along with the rest of the wall. Use the energize plate to propell you to the wall you were just working on. Grab the 2 rings and then jump across to the blue wall. Continue wallrunning and double jump forward to the next blue wall. Gripfall down it to the energize plate. You'll be sent to another blue wall. Wallrun on it and jump to a perpendicular magic blue wall. Grab the ring to continue running and double jump to the next platform. You're able to get fresco #7 from this platform. Anyway, turn the left lever 270 degrees to move the left wall down to the right place. Turn the back lever 270 degrees to move the right wall down to the right place. Finally turn the right lever 180 degrees to tilt the walls the right way. Use the energize plate on the wall to start another long wallrun. Grab the ring here and then jump to the parallel blue wall. You have to time the next jump here carefully. If you jump to soon, you'll miss the wall and fall and if you jump too late, you'll be too low on the next wall and you won't be able to grab the ring. Just jump before the Prince starts gripfalling at the end of a wallrun. Jump correctly to the next wall and grab the ring. Then gripfall down to the energize plate. This will send you to a blue wall. Jump to the perpendicular blue wall and then to the next parallel one. From there, just double jump to the next platform. You can get fresco #8 from here. Rotate the left lever 360 degrees to bring the left wall down to the right place. Turn the back lever 270 degrees to position the right wall in the correct place. Turn the right lever 180 degrees to turn the walls correctly. As I'm sure you can guess, use the energize plate on the wall. When you start wallrunning, grab the ring and jump to the blue wall. Then double jump to the parallel wall and grab the ring. From here, jump to the next blue wall and then double jump forward to gripfall down another blue wall. Use the energize plate to be sent to a new set of blue walls. You'll be wallrunning along one so jump to the perpendicular one. Double jump from there to the parallel blue wall and double jump again to a normal wall. Grab the ring and start a gripfall aiming at the blue wall below. Turn the Prince accordingly so you don't fall off and land on the bridge below. On the bridge, jump over the small gap and run into the room. Did you see the ambush coming? I guess it's pretty obvious at this point. One thing I'd like to add is everytime I run into that room, a gate comes down and traps Elika outside. A cutscene starts playing then and she's suddenly in the room. I just thought it was amusing. Anyway you're fighting the King. You know what to expect. He can shoot corruption on your screen blocking you view so block until it's gone or just blindly attack. He can use that defensive move where he becomes completely black with corruption and you have to start the combo with an Elika attack. There's also the one where he goes blue and you have to start a combo with a sword attack. Pushing him against a wall and mashing square is good for taking health from him but he can do the same to you. Use sprint to start a combo easily. He can do it too and he will probably start the battle with it. One thing I have noticed in this fight is that he blocks a bit more than he usually does. I suggest you use long combos but try to avoid using the sword attack which is the one he blocks, unless you have to use them. Of course, he can't block attacks when he is thrown into the air so it won't matter then. Just be prepared to block or deflect his own counter attacks. Don't forget that he can regenerate his health. Just keep attacking. Other than that, you won't be troubled by anything new. After the slightly amusing cutscene, run through the open gate and double jump over the small gap in the bridge. Go into the next area and wallrun on the left wall when the corruption tentacles are in the wall. You should reach a ledge. Shimmy over to the right of the ledge when the corruption ball is moving away from you and wallrun up to the higher ledge. Climb all the way to the right and gripfall down to the lower ledge. From there, wallrun to the fissure on the right, avoiding the tentacle along the way. Climb up to the top onto a ledge. When the corruption ball is moving away from you, follow it and gripfall to the lower ledge. Go to the far right of the ledge and when the corruption ball above you is going to the left jump back up to the ledge you were just on Shimmy to the right and wallrun to the next ledge avoiding the tentacle. Gripfall down to the beam below you and double jump to the next room. Here comes the Shapeshifter. There are 2 gates in this room. When one closes, the other one opens. Keep that in mind when you're fighting the Warrior form. You can only push him off the edge on the open gate. I suggest using the sprint move as quickly as possible as the gate should be open behind him at the start of the fight. Attach him with your sword or Elika to push him towards it and then you'll be prompted to hit the square button repeatedly. If the gate closes, just turn around and try to push him out the opposite one. Remember you can lure him by going to where you want him to be and staying there until he comes to you. Get behind him then by rolling under his legs and then you can continue pushing him. Succeeding in pushing him off the platform will result in the Hunter form coming out to play. Block his sword attacks and his sneaky left hand attacks. Deflect then as well so you can start a combo. Usually pushing him over the edge is quicker but the closest gate to him will most likely close when his form appears. Just use really long combos and don't give him a chance to transform back into the Warrior form. Using sprint bewteen combos can be really helpful in doing this. Also be aware of their defensive moves where you can only start a combo with Elika or with your sword. The Hunter also spits corruption on the screen so either block until it goes or attack blindly to make it go faster. 4.10 Promenade ----------------- When the fight is over, both gates will be open. Exit using the one where you have to jump to a pole and not a beam. Jump to that pole and double jump to the wall ahead of you to run up to a ledge. Wallrun up to the ring when the ball of corruptio isn't in your way to make it to a higher ledge. Shimmy to the left of the ledge and prepare the wallrun. When the corruption ball is moving down away from the next ledge and the tentacles aren't shooting out of the wall, start the run. When you're on the next ledge, you'll be in corrupted air so just try to move as fast as possible. Wallrun to the left again to the next ledge as quickly as possible when all the corruption is out of your way. Do the same to get to the next ledge. This ledge should be very close to the edge of the wall. Look down and when the three corruption balls are all moving to either side, start gripfalling. Hopefully you'll make it down to the beam where you'll be safe from the corrupted air. Jump across to the next platform. Run up the wall and grab the ring to make it to the ledge. Wallrun to the right when the 2 corruption balls are out of your way. Unfortunately, you'll be in another fresh batch of corrupted air so again, move quickly. Gripfall down to a lower ledge when the tentacle is in the wall. Wallrun right to the next ledge avoiding another tentacle. Shimmy to the right of this ledge and when the corruption ball isn't above you, wallrun up. Grab the 2 rings to get to the ledge. Wallrun to the right, avoiding yet another tentacle, and grab the 2 rings. At the end of the wallrun, simply gripfall down to solid ground. Continue forward following the small patch of red carpet. Gripfall down the wall to trigger a cutscene. I always laugh when I see it for some reason. The King makes another appearance but there's no Elika. Don't worry. You can't die. Basically, you have to push the King towards the edge. The quickest thing you can do is sprint and then start slashing at him. Throwing him can be effective too. He blocks and counters a lot as well so it may get frustrating. Whatever you do, once you push him to the edge, you'll be prompted to hit square repeatedly. Mash it to continue on. The Prince will push him down to a lower level. Elika will join the fight here. You'll have to push the King over the edge of this area as well. I found this one easier then the last because of Elika. Push him to the end and mash square to continue the fight below. You have to push the King to the throne at the end of the room. There is a long stretch between the throne and where you start the fight. This bit can be very annoying as his blocks and counters constantly and it can be a bit hard to start or continue a combo. You may also notice the King enjoys to do a move where he unleashes a set of quick attacks and you have to repeatedly press square to defend against it. He does it a lot. There are also other moves he does where you'll have to press other buttons to evade so be prepared for them. The best thing to do is lure him to the throne. Get behind him and keep dashing backwards until you reach the throne. He'll more than likely sprint at you a few times while he does this so be ready to hit the button prompt to block it. All his other attacks will be present here as well. When you're at the throne or very close to it, get around him and start a combo to push him towards it. Make it as long as possible so you don't have to suffer through him blocking it and keep sword attacks to a minimum so he can't block those either. Once he's against the throne, you'll be faced with the button prompt you get when you knock him against a wall. Hit square repeatedly to trigger a cutscene. The Prince will struggle with the King and punch him into the throne impaling him onto a few spikes. This will kill him, once and for all. 4.11 Ballroom ---------------- Now that the king is taken care off, wallrun up to the ring to the right of the throne. Use the plate above it and run around the wall to the energize plate. This will send you flying around the room. You'll land on a blue wall that you'll be running on. Run to the green plate to start a super run. Verge to the right to run on the blue walls and go in between the corruption. Follow the trail on the wall to go around the corruption. Eventually, you'll be on the other side of the room. Continue the run, aiming for the blue walls. Go in between the corruption after the four blue walls on this side and use the next energize plate. You'll be sent to normal wall. Grab the ring here to turn the corner. Grab the next ring and jump to the perpndicular blue wall. Double jump from here to the green power plate. Run around the curve and aim for the blue walls so you don't fall. After these four, there'll be an energize plate. This will propell you to another blue wall. Run along it and grab the ring at the end to get to the next energize plate. You'll land on a blue wall which you'll be running along. Jump to the parallel wall and then to another parallel blue wall. Just after you run from that blue wall to a normal wall, double jump to land on a platform. This will trigger a cutscene where you'll see the King reassemble. He wasn't dead after all. Continue down the path. Don't worry though. The King can never get to you, no matter how long you wait. If you go forward, you should see a ledge to the left. There's a fresco to the left here. Walk out on the ledge and double jump to the pole. Double jump to the vine and climb as quick as you can to the light at the top. This will save you from the corruption shooting up. When the corruption goes down, wallrun right to the power plate. You'll start wallrunning on a magic wall. Jump to the parallel one and double jump to the perpendicular wall. Grab the ring to make it to the vines. Climb to the light plate again to dodge the rising corruption. When it's safe, climb left and wallrun to the ring and then to the energize plate. You'll land on a blue wall. Double jump to the parallel blue wall and then double jump to the perpendicular wall. From this wall, jump to the parallel wall and then back again. Double jump to the next perpendicular wall and then jump or double jump if need be to the platform. You can get fresco #10 from this platform. Use the blue plate on the wall to continue. Just as Elika throws you at the end of the power, double jump to the pole. Swing to the vines and climb up quickly to the light plate. Climb to the left and wallrun to the ring. From there, jump to the perpendicular wall and grab the ring to turn the corner. Use the energize plate on the wall to be sent to a magic wall where you'll wallrun up to a blue plate. There is an annoying glitch with this plate. You are supposed to be sent to a blue wall that you automatically wallrun on as usual. A lot of the time, you'll end up gripfalling down the wall. Just keep trying until you get it. Hopefully, you'll be wallrunning along. Jump to the parallel blue wall and then back to the a normal wall. Grab the 2 rings to turn the corner. From this wall, double jump and you'll jump to the wall ahead of you with a blue plate. At the end of the power, Elika will throw you. Double jump at the throw to make it to the magic walls ahead. I always forget the double jump there myself. Jump from the blue wall to the parllel blue wall and then again to the next one. Double jump from there to another blue wall and then double jump to a parallel normal wall. Grab the 2 rings as the wall curves to turn a corner. Use the blue plate and at the throw, double jump to the wall. Use the blue plate here and double jump at the throw to land on the last platform of the Epilogue. Enjoy the final cutscene. I hope you enjoyed this ending more than the one in the whole game. I personally didn't mind the original ending but this one sets up the sequel better. Watch the credits and await any achievements/trophies that you earned throughout the game. Most come up when you achieve them but a few only come up during the credits. You might get a laugh at the last credit. We don't want any animal cruelty in these games now, do we? Congratulations on finishing the Epilogue. I hope you enjoyed my guide. I enjoyed writing it. I might see you all when the next Prince of Persia game comes out. =============================================================================== 5.0 FRESCOS =============================================================================== There are 10 frescos scattered throughout the epilogue. The only reward for discovering them all is a trophy/achievement but they can be quite fun to find. In the main guide, I point out the areas where you can get each fresco and here I give you detail on how to actually discover it. 1. This one is pointed out to you. It's just after the first area of corrupted air and before room where you fight the Shapeshifter for the first time. It's on top of the wall with 2 ledges around it. Facing it, go to the right wall. Wallrun up and grab the two rings to get to the ledge. Shimmy to the left and wallrun to another ledge. Shimmy again to the left and wallrun over the fresco to get it. You can simply wallrun from the next ledge and gripfall to escape. 2. This is in the room right after your first encounter with the Shapeshifter. Looking into the room for the doorway, there is a ring on the left wall. Run up the wall to the ring and then jump backwards to grab the column behind you. Turn to face the fresco on the ceiling and climb up to the top of the column. Roofrun, grabbing 2 rings to get the fresco. 3. On the platform you land on just after using the first energize plate, wallrun to the fissure to the left. Gripfall from here but slide right straight away so you can make it to the ledge. shimmy over to the right and when you see the corruption ball going up over the ring, wallrun grabbing that ring to make it to the ledge. Again on this ledge, when it is safe and the corruption has gone up, wallrun grabbing to rings to make it to the ledge beside the fresco. Wallrun over to discover it and escape using the power plate. You'll bounce to another plate before landing on the platform with the first energize plate. 4. This is in the room where you use the levers to drain the pool of corruption. It's on the top level with the third lever. Facing out to where the pool would be, go to the right pillar. Wallrun up it and double jump back to get to a ledge. Shimmy left on the ledge as far you can go. When the two corruption balls as I like to call them are as far away from eachother as possible, jump up to get to the ledge. Shimmy over to the left and look up. When there is a path clear of corruption, jump up to the higher ledge. Shimmy left and jump up to the fissure when there is a path clear of corruption. Climb up the fissure to the ledge and be careful of the corruption ball that gets close to the ledge. Climb to the left and wallrun to the next ledge when the 3 balls of corruption are out of the way (when the middle one is at the bottom is probably the best time). Climb to the left of the ledge and gripfall to the purple plate. You'll super jump to a magic wall. Double jump to the parallel wall and continue running, grabbing the 2 rings. After the second ring, jump to the next wall and then to another magic wall and then back to the normal wall. On this wall, gripfall between the 2 puddles of corruption to get to an orange plate. You'll bounce to the fresco and you'll escape by using the plate just above it. 5. This is in the room with the 2 levers that turn the column and the 2 big sections. When you enter this room, turn to the left. You should see a small fence attached to a wall with a ring on it. Hop on the fence and wallrun up to the ring. Jump back from that wall to another behind you and grab the 2 rings to get to the orange power plate. Rebound from that plate to a second to a wallrun. Grab the ring to turn a corner and grab the next 3. You would have turned to more corners at this stage and just gripfall down to the fresco. Use the plate to get back to the platform you started on. 6. This is in the same room as number 5 but to the right. Wallrun up the wall to the ring and jump back to the wall behind. Grab 2 more rings and rebound from the orange plate. You will rebound off a second plate before getting thrown to a wallrun. Continue along the wall and grab the ring to turn the corner. Continue wallrunning and jump to the opposite wall. Jump to the perpendicular wall and grab the ring to turn the corner. Gripfall down this wall making sure you go over the fresco. Use the orange plate to get back to the original platform. 7. This is in the tomb area. You'll be able to get it from the first platform with 3 levers and an energize plate in this area. Facing out into the tomb, go to the right and you'll see a ledge to shimmy along. At the end of the ledge, wallrun to the orange plate. You will be sent to a wall which you will be running along. Grab the 2 rings to turn the corner. On this wall, gripfall when you're above the ring. You'll be roofrunning so grab the next 2 rings to be sent running up another wall, discovering the fresco. Use the plate above the fresco to get back where you started. 8. It's just like the last fresco except it's on the next platform. That being the second platform with 3 levers and an energize plate. Shimmy out on the ledge and wallrun to the orange plate. You'll be sent to a wall. let the Prince wallrun for as long as possible before gripfalling. Grab the ring at the bottom to start a roofrun. Grab the following 2 rings to wallrun up another wall. Grab the ring on this wall to continue running up and double jump back to a wall behind you. Grab the ring to continue running up this wall and discover the fresco. Use the orange plate above the fresco to get back to the platform where you started. 9. This fresco is in the Ballroom, after the King comes back to life from getting impaled on a throne. You should be running under an archway and see a small fence in front off you with a ledge to the left. Go to the right and get up on the fence. Face the wall and run up and grab the ring to get onto the vines. Climb all the way up and to the left. Wallrun from here and jump to the perpendicular wall. Grab the ring and jump to the parallel wall. Just before you hit the corruption on this wall, gripfall down and grab the ring at the bottom. Swing under to a roofrun and grab the next run to wallrun on the next wall. You'll discover the fresco here. Use the orange plate to get back to where you started. 10. This is in the ballroom where the corruption is rising up after you. You can get it from the platform where there is a blue power plate on the wall. Facing that wall, wallrun to the right and double jump to the parallel wall. Grab the ring to get to the pole. Move out to the centre of the pole and double jump to the wall. Grab the 2 rings and at the top of your wallrun, double jump backwards to the wall behind. At the top of your wallrun here, double jump back again. This was to give you more time to move while gripfalling. Now that your back at the proper wall, gripfall and slide the Prince to the right to make it past the small section. As you gripfall, you'll discover the fresco. Use the orange plate to get back where you started. =============================================================================== 6.0 TROPHY/ACHIEVEMENT GUIDE =============================================================================== Title: All the Frescos Grade/Points: Bronze/20g Details: Reach all Ormazd's Fresco in the Epilogue. Title: Change Once, Then Die Grade/Points: Bronze/20g Details: In the Epilogue, defeat the Shapeshifter with only one shape change. Here's some more detail on how to get each trophy or achievement. All the Frescos ------------------ You need to discover all 10 frescos in the game. Note that the game doesn't tell you how many frecos you have found so keep count yourself. Follow my guide to get all the frescos above the trophy guide. You need to get all the frescos in one playthrough just incase you weren't sure. A Fresco of Light -------------------- This is very simple. All you need is to discover one fresco. The first one is pointed out to you before the room where you fight the Shapeshifter for the first time. You can check out my fresco guide if for some reason you weren't able to get one by yourself. Born Dead ------------ This, in my opinion, is the most annoying trophy to get. You have to speed kill every soldier in the game. The soldiers are the generic enemies in the game that aren't bosses. There is 7 in the game. Check out the main guide to see where each one is. When I get the full version of this guide done, I'll add in more detail on these soldiers. There isn't much to say about each one except move as fast as you can when you see a soldier forming. Save before each one so you can load it if you fail. Each soldier could take a few tries. You get this during the credits of the game. There is one where I can give you advice. It's the fifth soldier in the chimney area. It's at the bottom of the wall you gripfall down dodging all the corruption. There's a fissure at the top of the wall that most people wallrun to and then gripfall down the wall. To get to the soldier quickly enough to speed kill it, you have to press the gripfall button (R1/R2 on the PS3) just before you reach the fissure. This should work but may take a few tries. What Once was There ---------------------- You have to use Energize which is the new power plate for this first time. If you just play through the Epilogue, you will have to get this trophy or achievement. There's a cutscene before you can use it showing the plate being activated. Bouncing From Here to There ------------------------------ You have to complete the puzzle with the orange power plate that is shortly after the room with the big door opened with the 3 levers. You'll get it by simply playing through the Epilogue. Leaving the Storm -------------------- You just have to complete the Epilogue and you'll get the trophy/achievement during the credits. I Only Need a Hand or Twenty ------------------------------- You can only let Elika save you less than twenty times. It's not as hard as it sounds. Take your time and be careful and don't make any silly mistakes like jumping right into corruption. Save often so if you think, you needed Elika to save you too many times you can simply load it and try again. The times you may need to practice a few times are with the green power plate. It's very easy to miss a turn or something while doing a super run. One point that may also annoy you is near the end with the glitch. This is where you're supposed to do a wallrun after using a blue plate but you gripfall. Make sure you save before this. No Time to Waste ------------------- You have to complete the game in under 2 hours. Again, it's not as hard as it sounds. Many people, myself included, did this without trying. If you need to save time, make sure you learn each puzzle and finish off bosses quickly. You can kill the Shapeshifter easily by knocking the Hunter form off the edge just after he transforms from the Warrior. The Best Offence is Good Defense ----------------------------------- The details you are given is basically all the advice you can get. Keep deflecting any attack against you and only counter-attack.It isn't too hard unless you aren't used to deflecting. You may take a bit of practice if that's the case. The best place to get this is with the last fight the King when you're pushing his towards the throne. Only the attack that pushes him against the throne to start the quick time event, counts. When you're about to push him against it, deflect him and counter attack. This will get you the achievement or trophy. Thank you chucknasty for that detail. Change Once, Then Die ------------------------ When you're fighting the Shapeshifter, he starts off in the form of the Warrior and once you knock him to the edge, he transforms into the Hunter. If you don't kill this form quick enough, the Shapeshifter turns back into the Warrior and the process is continued. To get the trophy/achievement, you can only let the Shapeshifter change into the Hunter once before you kill him. You have to be quick to get it. It isn't too difficult though. The best thing to do is to push the Hunter form to the edge of the battle area. Mash the square button when you are prompted and knock him off the platform. It's much quicker than whittling down his health until he dies. =============================================================================== 7.0 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS =============================================================================== Q1) What is the Prince of Persia Epilogue? A1) The Epilogue is DLC (Downloadable Content) that starts where Prince of Persia left off. It is a small game that is used to continue on the story of the full game. It adds a new move and a new power plate and shows what the Prince and Elika could possibly be doing in the sequel. It lasts between 2-3 hours. Q2) How do you get the Epilogue? A2) It's DLC so link your PS3 or 360 up with your internet and download it off PSN or Xbox Live marketplace. As far as I know, it costs $10 in America and 10 Euro in Europe. I'm not sure about the other regions. Q3) Do you need the main game to play the Epilogue? A3) You need the disc of the main game to be able to play the Epilogue. Q4) Do I need to finish the main game to play the Epilogue? Q4) No but you should finish the game so you don't ruin the story for yourself. Q5) I'm stuck in a certain area. What do I do? A5) I've tried my best to describe everything as best I can but if you're not sure where to go use the Compass. It will point you in the right direction. Q6) Do you need the Epilogue trophies to get platinum? A6) No. You just need the main game trophies to get platinum. Q7) In the Ballroom, when you jump from a certain blue plate and you're supposed to wallrun on a blue wall, the Prince just gripfalls down the wall. What's wrong? A7) This is an annoying glitch in the epilogue. You will eventually wallrun along the blue wall but I'm fairly sure it's just luck. Just keep trying. This may just be a coincidence but the few times I got stuck here, I quit to the main menu and started up the Epilogue again and it worked. I wouldn't count on that though. Q8) I keep hearing a high-pitched sound when I'm playing the Epilogue. Is this a bug? A8) Yes, this is just a bug. It doesn't happen everytime you play. If it's really annoying you, quit to main menu and start it up again. It doesn't work everytime however. =============================================================================== 8.0 Version History =============================================================================== Version 0.35 - 15/3/09 ------------------------- Well the first version is up. I worked a lot quicker than I thought I would. I only had 3 of the sections in the Epilogue covered but all the trophies or achievements are done and I've got a decent FAQ. I'm planning on getting the walkthrough section covered as quickly as possible. Version 0.50 - 17/3/09 ------------------------- Since I'm Irish, you'd think I'd be out there celebrating St. Patrick's Day. I was happy to stay at home and add a bit more to this guide. When you think about it, the physics engine used in the Prince of persia is Havok and they are an Irish company so in a way I'm celebrating my nationality. Anyway, I wrote up the walkthrough for the Chimney and the Hammam. Both were kind of annoying to explain, especially the Hammam since it's so long. I added the 2 frescos that come with those sections as well. Version 0.70 - 5/5/09 -------------------------- Wow! I haven't updated in quite a while. There's been a lot going on these days and there have been other games to play. Chinatown Wars and Madworld have taken up a bit of my time even though they aren't paticularly long games. Anyway, I've added the Avenue, the Garden and the Tunnel. They may not look that long written down but they did take me a bit of time. I also added the frescos that go along with those sections. It is only the main walkthrough and frescos that I can update at this point. I guess I could add more FAQs if I get more questions. I'll try not to wait too long before I update next. Version 1.00 - 9/6/09 ------------------------- I finally have the full version of the guide done. I really should have finished this guide sooner but I didn't get that much opportunities. I had everything I needed written except a small bit at the end of the Ballroom since soon after my last update but I just couldn't get time to finish it until now. It doesn't matter much now that it's complete. In this update, I added the Tomb, Promenade and Ballroom. A lot of writing there. I finished off the fresco guide now that the main walkthrough is complete. There won't be much updates now if any. I still might make one if I have made a mistake or left a hint out. Please feel free to inform me of any of these things. =============================================================================== 9.0 ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS =============================================================================== GameFAQs for hosting this guide and for their help section that gives great advice on writing a guide.
