Email: Gregorio31 (@) gmail (.) com ============================================================================== INTRODUCTIONS ============================================================================== Hey guys, its Bkstunt. Stacking is a download-able title made by Double Fine, the same guys that gave us such stellar titles like Psychonauts and Costume Quest. Since I had so much fun with Costume Quest and Grubbins on Ice, I decided to go ahead and do Stacking as well! Enjoy! ============================================================================== Table of Contents ============================================================================== INTRODUCTIONS Table of Contents CONTROLS Walkthrough: Part I: Royal Train Station .........................................(ST 1.1) Part II: Gilded Steam Ship ..........................................(ST 1.2) Part III: Back to the Train Station .................................(ST 1.3) Part IV: The Zeppelin of Consequence ...............................(ST 1.4) Part V: Back to the Train Station Part Deux ..........................(ST 1.5) Part VI: Triple Decker Tank Engine ...................................(ST 1.6) Part VII: Taking down the Baron ......................................(ST 1.7) Challenges: ........................................................(ST 2.0) Hi-jinks: ..........................................................(ST 3.0) FAQ: ...............................................................(ST 4.0) Trophies ...........................................................(ST 5.0) Credits: ...........................................................(ST 6.0) ============================================================================== CONTROLS ============================================================================== Here are the controls for playing Stacking: _,.--.,_ _,.--.,_ | _____ | | _____ | |-' `'.__________________________,'` `-| ,' __ `. ,' .,. `. / | | \ SONY / (/_\) \ ! __ \/ __ | ! ,-. `-' ,-. | | |__ > < __| !__SELECT START__| ([ ]) ( O ) ! ! /\ ___`-. ,-' `-' ,-. `-' | |\ |__| ,' `. \ / ,' `. Looks like it is Charlie's time to be a hero. You'll also be given your first quest at this time, "The Blackmore Stack". Soon you'll meet your hobo buddy Levi. After some traveling, your cart will break down, putting you in control. Nothing to do right now, so go talk to Levi twice to get him to move. Once he's moved, continue on and up the stairs, where you'll meed a child laborer and recieve another quest, "Coalition of the Unwilling". Head up the stairs and you'll see a scene detailing your surroundings. You'll now learn how to stack dolls, as you'll need to stack your way to the largest doll to proceed. You'll also learn about special abilities as well. Go ahead and use the big doll's "Make Way!" move to exit this area. Now that you're free, you can stack and unstack to find several new abilities. Take note that the abilities are based on the type of doll that you are at the time. Also take note that there are three (3) different types of dolls. Well, four if you count Charlie. Extra Small (Charlie), Small, Medium, and Large. You can take this time to get used to stacking and unstacking. You can also find a whole host of cool abilities to try out. Take note of the strikers to your right and make your way forward. A man by a giant gate will call you over and ask you for help, petitioning you to find the key master so he can unlock the gate. Get into a Medium size doll. You can find the keymaster in the middle of the room with the gate. Seriously, he has a giant key on his head, you can't miss him. You'll also learn about unique dolls, as Key Master Dawson is one of them. There are 18 all together, bringing you up to 1/18 at this point. And yes, we are counting them down. Why? Because I like counting things down... Unlock the gate and you'll learn about your navigation trail. It's like the Dead Space trail for Stacking! Go down the long hall and you'll come across another group of dolls. There's one here in particular, a medium sized doll with a big blue hat and yellow ribbon. This is a unique dool, Luydmila Allendorf (2/18). If you get in her, you'll learn of matching sets (which explains her asking if you've seen a smaller doll in a blue sailor outfit with red hair). Keep her location in mind. This next section is the concourse, and here you can find several unique dolls. For example, up the left stairs towards the coal room area is the unique doll Drummer Percy (3/18). At the section with the bathroom and stairs you can find Hans Allendor (4/18), the smaller brother of Luydmila, Meriwether Malador (5/18), who has BAD gas, and Solicitor Barnabas (6/18), who smokes. Up the stairs are two MORE unique dolls, including the Allendorf mom Ursula (7/18) and the widow Chastity (8/18). There's also a maintenance man up here, Jasper (9/18) who is unique as well. Grab Hans and the mom, then go back and get Luydmila. Stack them all together for a special scene ("The Akzidentale Tourists"). After you collect them all and view the scene, they'll be unstacked and gone. They'll all be at the info counter, where the mom was. Head there now and head towards your objective to find your first challenge. Each challenge has several ways to solve it. As you see, we have three ways we can solve this challenge. You can also use "L1" to view challenge hints. But if you're going to use tips, why keep me around?! ================= Empty the lounge! ================= Solution 1: Fan-tastic Use Jasper to unlock the air vent, and then speak to the host inside. Solution 2: Unauthorized Entry Use the widow Chastity to "seduce" the guard, and draw him away. Then use Jasper to open the front door. Easy! Solution 3: The Fug of War Use Meriwether Malador and fart in the air vent. Do all three methods above, and as you'll see you will get a message saying unique rewards will be given to you as you fully complete each challenge. In this case, Guard Perry (10/18) will become a unique doll you can use. You'll also notice that the three train guild memebers are out of the lounge. Pick them up and you'll net three essential unique dools (Frederick (11/18), Orville (12/18), and Ulysses (13/18) ). Take them to the strikers for a scene ("The Spice of Life"). Congrats, you have freed your brother Albert! You should get the "Strike Breaker" trophy here as well. After the scene, you will be given the chance to go on or stay behind and find more unique dolls as well as find other solutions to challenges. Move forward and you'll get an owl from Levi telling you he has something to show you. A scene will start where Levi will be in your secret hideout. As you can see, Levi will commemerate each new triumph with statues and pictures in the hideout. Pretty neat! We can find a few more unique dolls. Go back to the main concourse and take the stairs on the right this time. This leads to the top hat lounge, and you can find Engineer Cross (14/18) and Judge Meantal (15/18) in this area. Head to the lounge and you can find the lounge host Demoreeuille (16/18) able to be stacked. Outside by the ticket counter you can also find the ex-strike leader, Chesley (17/18). We can't get the last doll yet, as he's too big to stack (he is that giant doll in the top hat lounge) so we'll have to come back to him. We'll get him in Part III, don't worry. For now, continue on to the gilded steamship (go talk to the engineer out by the train). ============================================================================== Part II: The Gilded Steamship .......................................(ST 1.2) ============================================================================== Watch the scene after you board the train to find out your next objective. Ah, time to stir up a little civil unrest. I like it! Once you start this area, you will learn about hi-jinks. Little pranks you can pull. There's a list of them in the hi-jinks menu that can give you some clues as to what you need to do. Check out the hi-jinks section of the guide if you want to try them out, as the main guide skips them. You'll also notice this section of the game has 27 unique dolls. Wowzers. That's totally a word. Note that you can grab one of the violinists here to get a unique doll down close to where you started by playing music for him. Jump into it to find the Pied Piper (1/27). We'll use him later. Go up to the safari section of the ship (near the front, which I'll call the "North" for further reference) and you'll be presented with your first challenge! ========================= Cause Chaos at the Safari ========================= Solution 1: Misfire! Jump into the unique doll on the cannon (Field Commander Appleyard (2/27) ), and fire the cannon into the steam vent on the FAR left. Solution 2: Wild Animauler Use the big punching doll (the one with the "Proper Uppercut") to punch apart the scenery near the safari. Solution 3: Un-Bear-able Get into a small doll. A bit south of the safari area, some pelicans will occasinally fly down. Get into one of them and fly back to your nest. Drop down below and you'll find a Kodiak Bear (3/27). Use it to scare everyone away from the safari. Solution 4: Penny Lane Use a doll (such as the glove slapper) to get the two dolls holding the zebra to move in the way of the bike path nearby. Once the bike stops, use the bike dolls to crash into the zebra. Well, that was fun! After you've complete all the challenges you can jump into the safety inspector Ludd (4/27). You can also go into the nearby cabins to find Peatrice (5/27), one of the "Illusion Family" set. We may as well go pick up the rest of the family. Walk down the west side of the ship (remember, the safari is "North"). You'll probably see a distinct pirate on your way, so jump into pirate Chuck (6/27). He may be roaming around somewhere else on the deck though. Anyway, on the west side of the ship you'll see an archway that says "The Argyle Ballroom". Standing outside is Ronaldo (7/27), one of the family members. You'll undoubtedly see the exhibit challenge as well. We'll get to that in a bit. Now go upstairs and search the rooms up here for your kid, who is also dressed in purple. You'll see the caviar challenge up here as well no doubt. Like the exhibit, we'll get to that in a bit (we must focus). You can grab your kid here, Gwendola (8/27) as well as Drew (9/27) in the nearby room. Now travel to the south side of the 2nd deck to find a dog dressed in a purple shirt named Prestige (10/27). Grab him and the entire Illusion family to see a scene ("Lord of Confusion"). Good job! For consistency's sake, lets go wreck the exhibit now. ==================== Sabotage the Exhibit ==================== Solution 1: Mummy Dearest Stack up and take over the guard, Walter (11/27). Now move the three little dolls out of the way so you can unstack and get to the mummy (12/27). Now try and leave the exhibit. Solution 2: The fighting Pharoh. Much like the safari solution, grab a boxer and take him to the exhibit. Now you'll see a Pharoh with boxing gloves on. Punch him to dehead him, delaying the exhibit. Solution 3: Queen of Argyle Doesn't the background here look purple to you? That's right, grab Ranaldo and use your illusion trick on the giant statue down in the exhibit to delay it once more. Solution 4: Relic Rustler Stack into the sarcophagus (13/27) and use its shine ability to staci into someone else. Now leave the exhibit to delay it (you theif). Solution 5: Curd of the Ancients Notice the sphinx down here is really cheese? Use the pied piper we freed long ago and lead the rats near the south of the ship down to the sphinx to delay the exhibit one last time. You'll also get to jump into Ferdinand (14/27) once you complete all the challenges. Now let's go check out that caviar line. There's two unique dolls you can jump into and use here, Hornsby (15/27) and Yves (16/27). You can also stack into the caviar chef, Vladimir (17/27) by shouting with Yves. Let's get to work, shall we? ======================= Stop the Caviar Service ======================= Solution 1: Caviar Porridge Get into the waiter and summon the chef out, than jump into Hornsby and go into the kitchen. Pour your gruel thickener into the porridge to stop the line. Solution 2: Sea of Gruel. Even easier than the first option. Just jump into Hornsby and dump gruel into the water that the boats are riding on. There are steps up to the water. Solution 3: Eggs Overboard Get into a BIG doll and go to the south of the ship. Go into the doors to get into the kitchen and push the caviar down the track, putting it into the sea. Solution 4: Rat Eggs As the Pied Piper, lead the rats up into the kitchen. They'll take care of the rest! ;) Solution 5: Summons to Appear The first one I did, summon and jump into Vladimir, then go into the kitchen and dump the caviar fish, stopping the line. Another job well done. With that challenge out of the way, head even FURTHER up the ship to the third level. Here you can find a small path to the captain, which we'll use later, as well as a unique doll scrubbing the ship named Morris (18/27). Hans is up here as well, remember him (19/27). You'll also see an improvised map room nearby. Time for another challenge. =============== Muddle the Maps =============== Solution 1: A Near Mess Use Morris and go into the map room. Scrub the maps. Solution 2: Crumby Maps Use Hans and go into the map room. Spit up cookies all over the maps. Easy. Solution 3: Slapped Clean Go grab one of those slapping dolls and slap the assistant in the map room. Solution 4: Color my World Get a small doll and go visit the artist guy by Drew (on the second floor). He'll transform you and make it so you can "color" things. Go back and color a map to ruin it. With all the solutions found, you can now jump into Gilbert (20/27). Besides Hi-Jinks, that's about all we can do here. Go into the captain crawl space on the third floor. Here you can stack up into all the adventures for the grand adventure's set: Doktor Exakt (21/27), Professor Ramses (22/27), The Hunter Darby (23/27), and Madame Habitant (24/27). Now use Exakt to get past the first guard, who will open a door. Use Ramses to get past the second guard and another door. As you can guess, Darby will get you past the next door, followed by Habitant on the captain. You'll see a good scene, "The Grand Mutiny" which forces the captain to end the never-ending voyage, freeing your sister Agatha. Yea! You should get the "Seasoned Swashbuckler" trophy here as well. Now that we've stopped the cruise, we'll learn about bonus challenges. Cool, lets go do that before leaving. We also have some more dolls to collect, like the Captain, Swing, who is nearby (25/27). Go to the south of the ship and you'll see a scene where the club will be open. There's also the final two dolls here, Bobby and Billy Webb (26/27), and (27/27). There's a bonus challenge here as well. Basically what we need to do is get Billy and Bobby into the club. Being hicks doesn't help though. You'll get the "Doll Fancier" trophy for getting all the ships unique dolls as well. ================== Get the Gits a Gig ================== Solution 1: Fancy Facade Simply Stack into someone fancy looking to get into the club, then unstack and run up on stage. Solution 2: Painted Black and White Go to the artistic makeover guy on the second floor and makeover both the brothers. Now go into the club and get on stage. Solution 3: Polly got a Cracker Talk to the pirate, who will tell you his parrot is hungry. Get Hans to feed the parrot with cookies. Now stack up to the Pirate and yell YAR! at the door man. Lead the band down on stage. After solving this challenge, you'll get the "Ship Solver" trophy. You can continue doing Hi-Jinks or return to the train station for the next section. ============================================================================== Part III: Back to the Train Station .................................(ST 1.3) ============================================================================== View the scene and you'll finally see the baron. Jerk. You'll also see the newest mural that Levi has done, as well as hear about a challenge waiting for you that's stopping you from entering the Zepplin. Take the shortcut that Levi found for you. You'll also notice that Hi-Jinks have opened up in this area, so you can start on those if you wish. You can also now get the last unique doll in this area, Engineer Switch (18/18). This will also net you the "Doll Hobbyist" trophy as well. Go to the main concourse and head to the ticket booth. Here you'll be given your newest challenge. ============== Sort the Lines ============== Solution 1: Line Assembly Production This may be a bit confusing at first, but there are essentially five lines here. Take all the SMALL dolls and put them on the outer lanes. The BIG dolls go in the MIDDLE lane ONLY, and the MEDIUM dolls go in the other two lanes. Solution 2: Gust of Order Use Meriwether to clear out the lines, then use the nearby strike organizer to "Organize" everyone into place. Simple. Solution 3: Uppercut Shuffle Stack into one of those uppercut dolls and punch anyone who's out of place. Or just punch everyone... y'know, because violence is the answer! ;) Now that we are done, get into the judge doll and head to the trains. Take the train on the right to continue on to the Zepplin. ============================================================================== Part IV: The Zeppelin of Consequence ...............................(ST 1.4) ============================================================================== Watch the scene and you'll be pulled back to the Kitchen. We have 24 unique dolls to find here and five of them are going to be the ambassador's we need to free. But we gotta get out of the kitchen first! It looks like one of the ambassador's needs our help right from the start! He's stuck on the shelf by two bullies. To the north (what I assume is north) are two prisons. Go into the left one and jump into the pepper girl, Jane (1/24). Shake pepper onto everything and everyone to distract a bully away. Now go into the other jail and jump into Hans (2/24) and shake batter on everyone. Be quick! This is actually listed as a challenge in the menu, but since it has but one solution you don't have much fun with it. With both bullies away, ambassador bon Appetite will be free! Jump into him (3/24) and rally the troops to see a scene ("A Fixed Summit") freeing you of the Kitchen and informing you of all the ambassador's plights. Up here is the dining room. There's also a zip line operator and a giant opera doll, Wilhelmina (4/24). Past that you'll find your friend Meriwether (5/24) with an equally weird gal named Felicity (6/24) who passees... potpourri? Past them is an ambassador stuck behind noxious fumes. ================== Get Rid of the Gas ================== Solution 1: A Blast of Sweet Air Get into Felicity and go into the gass area. Pass potpourri near the gas output and it'll make the area bearable. Solution 2: Opera Sucks Get the Opera doll and go into the gas room. Try and sing and the opera doll will INHALE all of the gas! Poor doll! Solution 3: Override up High Go into the fan service room and use the maintenance men there to open the door. Now stack a SMALL maintenance man and a baloon kid. Float up on the up draft and use the small maintenance man to shut off the fan. Solution 4: Bun in the Oven Stack into a purse smashing doll, than get into the Hazard Suit (7/24) across from the gas area. You can walk through the gas now. Unstack to the purse doll and smash the glass nearby and turn the fan off. With the ambassador freed we can move on. Go down the stairs towards the summit room. You'll soon see a new challenge awaiting you though. ============= Open the Gate ============= Solution 1: Gate Wedgie Stack up into the irish doll and use a "Northern Kiss" on the bell. This will make the strongman, cromwell (8/24) come down. Stack into him and "wedgie" the gate to open it. Solution 2: Shaken Up Use a SMALL maintenance man to maintain near the gate and drop a hand down. Now get into a firm handshake doll (there's one nearby) and shake the hand. Solution 3: Inside Job Stack into a SMALL maintenance man and go up the stairs across from the gate and you should find Portia (9/24) in a peacock outfit. Get into her and go to the dead end and fan yourself. This will draw down a peacock (10/24). Use it to fly up to the nest and drop into the castle. Use the maintenance man here to open the gate from the inside. Once you are done finding all the solutions, you'll be able to stack into the Gate Keeper (11/24) as well. As you continue on you'll see the table where the child labor negotiations are taking place. Past that is a BIG staircase with an emergency exit door. The smaller staircase leads to a hole only Charlie can go through. Go through it and you'll be caught by some of the Baron's guards. They'll throw you in prison, with another ambassador. Note that there are two unique dolls you can stack into here, the recreation officer Chip (12/24) and the fire chief Russel (13/24). ===================== Break out of the Brig ===================== Solution 1: Out of the Frying Pan Stack into the fire chief and spray out the fireplace fire. QUICKLY unstack and use Charlie to run to freedom, letting the ambassador escape. Solution 2: Birdman of Brig Stack up into the big man and knock over the domino's. This will make the pelican fly down. Get into the pelican and fly to the nearby nest, dropping out to freedom and letting the ambassador escape. Solution 3: Slip Up Stack up into the big man again and push the roller skate that's chilling by the door forwards. Now unstack and jump onto the horn by the wall. This calls the guard in and trips him up, getting you out and letting the ambassador escape. Well, now that we're done with that, go up the long staircase here. You'll see a scene called "Wanted Doll" and be told to not let the guards catch you. As you enter this top area, another scene will start showing you another ambassador who is trapped. Before we do that though, let's get the "family" set of dolls in this area. By the stairs you came up (near the track and lights by the wall to the right) is the first and smallest member, Leander (14/24). Now go clockwise around the course. You'll see the biggest member next, the director Cecil (15/24), so keep his spot in mind. Keep going around the track and you'll see Trixie (16/24) near the left hand wall. Grab her. On the other side of the track near the upwards stairs (past the first set of stairs) is the actor Donald (17/24), but he's a bit big. Go past him and go underneath the stairs to find the cameraman Joe (18/24). Stack into him, then stack into Donald. Now go back and stack into the director to view the scene "Bard Appeal". Now that we're done with that, let's do the challenge. ============= Stop that Car ============= Solution 1: Photo Finish Stack up into one of the photographer dolls nearby. As the monkey is driving by, use the photo doll to snap some pictures of it, spinning the cart out of control! Solution 2: Braking for Banana's Use Charlie to jump on the banana dispenser near the group of people by the stairs you came in at. This will make the banana dolls gather them up. Stack up into one of the banana dolls and throw a banana on the tracks. Solution 3: Call to Arms Stack up into a horn player and go up the stairs. In the middle area is the announcer and the flag waver. Stack into a maintenance man (who is nearby the archway) and maintain the box by the announcer. Unstack to the horn blower and blow your horn into the unguarded amplifying device. Solution 4: Rabbit Takes Chimp Get into the narrow ramp by the track (only Charlie can do this). As the race dogs come around, quickly stack into one. Use its run ability to catch up to the rabbit. Stack into the rabbit, then the chimp, then the next chimp. Apply the brakes as the final chimp. Solution 5: Action Flag Stack up into the Director (the troupe can be found on the stage across from the race track). With the director, go up the stairs to the flag waver and use your "Action!" skill on him to stop the race. Note that doing even one of these solutions starts the next scene, "The Fish Contingency". What you need to do here is stack up into all of the ambassador's and follow your sister Abigail. This will net you some dolls you haven't gotten yet, including Osman (19/24), Log (20/24), Chaka (21/24), and Wroll (22/24). Follow your sister up the stairs and out the door (using the ambassador's special key). Cross the walkway filled with fish and open the key to the bellows room. Here, jump onto the large bellow and unstack, which puts all the dolls on bellows. As Charlie, go down the ramp and jump on the last bellow to save the zeppelin. You'll get a scene here as well as the "Airship Adventurer" trophy. Choose to stay on the zeppelin now for a bonus challenge! Also note that you can go back to the race track and complete the challenge there. In fact, completing all the solutions there is the only way to get the unique doll "Goff" (23/24) as he is the flag waver. The bonus challenge can be found nearby the exit. It seems a bunch of bullies are picking on a little kid. Those cads! ================ Get Mr. Ruffles! ================ Solution 1: Needle in a Doll Stack Talk to one of the bullies. This will start a game where they put the bear into one of them and mix themselves up. PAY ATTENTION to where the bear is, as you can pick it out and get the bear back. Note that on subsequent tries the bullies go much faster. Solution 2: Peek-a-Bully Stack into the banana doll and throw bananas at the bullies. They'll open up as you do so, letting you see which one has the bear. Talk to the right one to get the bear back. Solution 3: Marked Men Stack into ambassador Osman and go stamp one of the bullies with his special skill. This will "mark" the bully with the bear, making it super easy to win the bear back. After you do all the solutions, you will not only earn the "Blimp Buster" trophy, but you can also jump into Thad (24/24) and earn the "Doll Connoisseur" trophy as well! There's nothing left to do here but Hi-jinks now, so stay and do those or exit the zeppelin to move on. ============================================================================== Part V: Back to the Train Station Part Deux ..........................(ST 1.5) ============================================================================== As you leave for the train station, you'll see a couple of scenes ("The Diabolical Four" and "Crippling Clock Condition"). Looks like the grown-ups need your help yet again. You'll also get to see what Levi did while you told him about your zeppelin adventure. Once you're ready to continue, head to the train station part. Near the trains is the master clock, which is no longer running and in need of winding. Time for another challenge. ============== Wind the Clock ============== Solution 1: A Clockwork Pelican In the middle area near the left hand side (if you came from the trains) is a pelican just chilling. Stack into him and move close to the archway, trying to fly up. You'll find his next in that general area that you can fly up to. Once you are up on the catwalk, unstack to Charlie and jump on the winding machine. Solution 2: A Gentleman's Solution On the right hand side of the middle area is a small hole Charlie can fit through. Go through it to the clock winding area. Unlock the giant door with the switch nearby. Now stack into one of those "firm handshake" dolls (there is one nearby). Now go handshake the winding device hand through the big door. Solution 3: Wind Under Your Wings This one's a little bit trickier. Stack into the balloon kid by the giant door I mentioned earlier. Now go to the far right train platform (if you're looking at the trains head on) and find and stack into Engineer CROSS. CROSS, not the giant engineer SWITCH. Cross is the one with the "Blow your Stack" ability. Take him to the big door. Notice the fans above the hole Charlie can go through. Step AWAY FROM THE WALL a bit and blow your stack. Quickly unstack to the balloon kid and float upwards to the walkway. Now unstack to Charlie and wind the clock. If it isn't working, be SURE you have CROSS and you aren't too CLOSE to the wall. With the challenge done, go talk to the clown by the train to be taken to the next level. You'll also get the "Solution Sleuth" trophy for doing all the challenges at the Royal Train Station. ============================================================================== Part VI: Triple Decker Tank Engine ...................................(ST 1.6) ============================================================================== Never trust the Baron! Dumb kids. As you'll see, this tank engine seems to be nothing more than a giant trap for child labor. We have 26 unique dolls to collect here, including our family. From the start go down the ramp and continue to the next train car where they are holding all the kids. Go down the next ramp as well and you'll be shown more kids. There's a "challenge" here as well, but there's only one solution. Basically, just jump up onto the dog food dispenser, which brings the dog over. Stack up into the dog, biscuits (1/26) and use his ability on the cage to free everyone, solve the "challenge" and see your bigger brother. You'll now be tasked with stopping the train and saving your family. After the scene you can jump into the nearby Jane (2/26) and Thad (3/26) for some unique dolls (even though you've seen them both before). Move on a bit and you'll see another family member trapped by Sickle the Sly. Looks like we got to rescue her. ===================== Defeat Sickle the Sly ===================== Solution 1: Fire and Ice Go up to the second level. Here you'll see a small scene with the fire chief and Hans. Stack into both of them (4/26, 5/26) and go down to Sickle. Now spreay Sickle with water, then quickly unstack to Hans and freeze him, making him leave. Solution 2: Sneezing Wild Fire Also on the second level is a unique sick doll named Sully (6/26). Take him down and sneeze on a small doll (since he's to big to sneeze on Sickle). Now take the small doll and stand near Sickle to infect him. Solution 3: Pigeon Bisque Up on the second level you'll find small soup kids. Grab one and take him up to the third level, which houses a bunch of pigeons. Walk around up here and a pigeon will come down and 'flavor' the soup. Now go down to Sickle and serve it to him. Sick! Solution 4: Snot Soup Much like the solution above, stack into Sully the sick doll ans sneeze on a soup boy. Now stack into the soup boy and serve the infected soup to Sickle. With the challenge done, you will free yet another family member. Now let us move on pat the pigeon coop. As you do so, you'll see a tiny doll dressed in a wig named Gustav (7/26). He is part of a six doll set that we need to collect, so let's focus on that for now. In fact, this third floor has three more dolls that look exactly like him! Explore a bit and you'll find the next size up, Sergei (8/26) by the downward ramp. You'll find the next size after him, Ludwig (9/26) up here too, as well as Wolfgang (10/26). Pretty easy so far, no? There's also two unique dolls up here on the third floor. One is Gilliam (11/26) who is by the table where you entered from. The other you need to stack up into one of the lady whistle dolls and wake up from his nap on the chair near the downwards ramp. His name is Wickens (12/26). With the four musician dolls stacked together, stack into a big lady doll and go down the ramp. This second area is barred up and being guarded by lady dolls. They'll only let other lady dolls in and out. You can find Chastity (13/26) here as well though. Note that you can also stack into the two lady "guards" who are guarding the "ladies only" area. You need to take Wickens down there and measure them, then stack into them. You can get both Rosie (14/26) and Gertie (15/26) this way. Get past the lady doll area and you'll find another musician sleeping in the nearby chair. Thankfully there's a whistle doll nearby, so wake him up and get Franz (16/26). Now go down the next ramp. Down here you'll see another family member trapped by Tiberius, and another challenge for us. We're not done with the musicians yet though, so ignore the cries for help for now and take the walkway into the piano bar in the next train section. Here you'll find the biggest musician doll and you can stack into him (Frederic 17/26) to see a scene ("Perfect Time") and open up the piano bar door. Ok, now let's go rescue our family member. ============================ Tickle Tiberius the Terrible ============================ Solution 1: Tickle Duster Stack into one of the feather duster maids and go tickle the top of Tiberius's head to make him luagh. Solution 2: Feather Face Another easy one, go stack into the nearby soup boy and attract the pigeon on the right side of the room down (go stand over there). Now stack into the pigeon and fly up to Tiberius's head. Solution 3: Hairy A'mor The hardest one. Go on the third floor and stack into the hairy hugging guy (remember Gilliam) as well as the tailor Wickens. Now stack into a lady so you can get through the ladies-only second floor. Now head to Tiberius. Examine him with Wickens, which removes his armor, then hug him with Gillian. With all of that out of the way, lets head to the piano bar. Take not of all the dolls in here. There's no unique one's, but it's good to know what the dolls can do. That said, continue on to the next car and you'll not only meed our old friend Meriwether (18/26) but also run straight into the next challenge. ============================= Illuminate the Shadow General ============================= Solution 1: Flarewell This one is entertaining. Stack up to one of the flare dolls (there's one in the piano bar) and make sure to have Meriwether under him. Now go stand by the general and light up your flare. Make sure it's fully lit, then unstack to Meriwether and fart on the fire. Solution 2: Cookin' With Gas Go up to the second floor (be careful of the guard) and stack into Jasper the Maintenance man (19/26). At the back of this room is a gear you can maintain. It will turn the gas on. Now go stack into a flare doll and go back to the back of the room again. Stand under the "pilot light" portion and turn the flame up to get rid of the general. Solution 3: Money Generator Probably the easiest one. Stack into a money throwing boy. See the weird looking device by the entrance near the general? It has a small cup on it. You can throw money into that and a device saying "jump start" will drop down. Now go stack into the giant "carbon footprint" lady doll nearby and jump on the button to turn the light on. With that done you will have rescued another family member. Proceed to the next section where you will find many child laborers at the kid workshop. Past them you will see another car full of greedy industrialists with the unique Corporate Spy (20/26) doll near the exit ramp. Go down the ramp and you'll see a scene with your mother being held captive by Simpleton. ========================== Scare Simpleton the Strong ========================== Solution 1: Masked Mirage Get into the spy and use the "Costume" ability on a very large doll (like the ones that punch people). This puts a mask on it, like the normal guards wear. Now stack up into that doll and go down to Simpleton, who will think he's being replaced at guard duty. Solution 2: Sheet Spirit Grab one of the cloth-folding dolls from the workhouse and use them to put a cloth over a smaller doll (like the toilet scrubbing ones nearby). Get into the small doll and go see Simpleton, who will think you're a ghost. Solution 3: Clownfoolery In the second floor, use one of the "hammer time" kid dolls to annoy the corporate adults. This will make the man by the jack-in-a-box let a clown loose. Stack up into the clown, whose name is Peck (21/26) and use him to scare Simpleton. Once you're done with the challenges here you'll get the "Loco Motivated" trophy (if you've done ALL the challenges). Go outside now and walk around the car to see a scene with your family. Now stack into your family, earning quite a few unique dolls along the way. (You will get Albert, Agatha, Abigail, Archibald, and Agnes 22-26/26). Use Agnes's ability on the door to unlock it. Once inside, unstack to Archibald and use his ability to climb between the wall in front of you. You should also get the "Doll Antiquarian" trophy now as well. At the top, unstack to Abigail and use her ability to put out the fire in front of you. Now unstack to Agatha and go out to the catwalk. Use her parasol spin to get past the coals dropping down. Now unstack to Albert and use his shovel ability to clear the way for Charlie. As Charlie, go down the ramp to discover you dad and see a scene, moving us on to the next section. ============================================================================== Part VII: Taking down the Baron ......................................(ST 1.7) ============================================================================== After the scene, it'll be up to us to take down the Baron. He's high up on the building in front of you. Each of these "knockdowns" has a challenge name on it, so lets sort them by that! "Stack of Evil" Stack up into your entire family and use your dad to make the fire hotter. The baron will comment on how that little fire isn't enough to bother him. Unstack now and stack into Meriwether, who is nearby to your left (I'm sure you noticed there are a LOT of dolls in the area). Use him to make the fire even hotter. "High Cleanout" Go stack into Jasper, the Maintenance man, who is off to the left hand side. Use him to open the vent with the wrench icon to the right of the furnace you just used. Now stack up into your mom and "Clean Out" the vent. "Climb Hither" Stack into the Chastity doll (remember she can seduce men?) and than into your brother who can climb up the chimney section. Use him to do so and once you're at the top use Chastity to lure the Baron off the ledge. "Lift for Dead" Use your sister's ability to "snuff out" the flames blocking the gate. Now go and stack into the strong-man doll and lift up the gate, hurting the Baron in the process. "Unleash the Cracking" Use your sister's ability to spin the parasol to put an umbrella by the coal that is falling down to your right. Now stack into Hans's mom (who can scream for help) and go next to the pipe beyond the coal. Scream in it to take the Baron down a notch. "Charcoal Rain" Stack into your smallest family member and then go stack into the pelican standing near the coal shute. Use the pelican to fly up to the next and then unstack into your brother. Use your brother's ability to fling coal onto the Baron and let Mr. Ruffles do the rest. After you've taken him down, you'll see another scene. Looks like he doesn't give up easy, huh? You'll now be in a small area, so stack all the dolls together here. Use the flare doll's ability near the wooden gate, than unstack into Meriwether and fart on the flare doll. This will lead to an awesome explosion scene. You'll then see the Baron run away and stack into a "Scissor" doll. What we need to do here is stack into rock, paper, or scissor dolls. This is basically just "Rock, Paper, Scissor's". Wait until the Baron is close, stack into the opposite winning doll, and hit him with the "X" attack. You need to do this with EACH kind of doll though. Once you do, you'll see the ending scene. Congrats on beating Stacking! After the credits roll, you'll be put back the game and you can complete any Hi-Jinks, finding Dolls, or Challenge Solutions that you never did. ============================================================================== Challenges (ST 2.0) ============================================================================== Here's all the challenges in the game and their solutions. This section is divided by area. I'm sure you can quickly find which challenge you need that way. =================== Royal Train Station =================== Challenges first encountered in "Royal Train Station": ================= Empty the lounge! Or just punch everyone... y'know, because violence is the answer! ;) ============== Wind the Clock ============== Solution 1: A Clockwork Pelican In the middle area near the left hand side (if you came from the trains) is a pelican just chilling. ==================== The Gilded Steamship ==================== Challenges first encountered in "The Gilded Steamship": ========================= Cause Chaos at the Safari ========================= Solution 1: Misfire! ======================= Zeppelin of Consequence ======================= Challenges first encountered in "Zeppelin of Consequence": ================== Get Rid of the Gas ================== Solution 1: A Blast of Sweet Air Get into Felicity and go into the gass area. ======================= Triple Deck Tank Engine ======================= Challenges first encountered in "Triple Deck Tank Engine": ===================== Defeat Sickle the Sly ===================== Solution 1: Fire and Ice Go up to the second level. ============================================================================== Hi-Jinks (ST 3.0) ============================================================================== Here I'll label all the game's Hi-Jinks and how to do them. =================== Royal Train Station =================== Soliciting: Use the Solicitor Doll to talk to 10 adult women dolls. Nesting Instinct: Use the Pelicans to fly to all nests. There's one by the front, by the back, in the caviar place, and on the third deck. Animal Stack: Stack the Illusion dog, a Pelican, then the Bear. Broadsides!: Use the Pirate's YAR! to make dolls faint. A Mass Effect: Use Ronaldo to perform the illusion spell on dolls. Anchor of Love: Use Drew (the anchor guy by the artistic shop) and drop your anchor near female dolls. Steward Season: This one is fun. Use the hunter and shoot ten stewards. Stewards are those smaller dolls dressed in white. All Wraped Up: Use Professor Ramses to mummify dolls. Lil' Stinky: Use a small doll to "toot" on others. Slap Happy: Use a slapping doll to slap other dolls. Doing all these Hi-Jinks will net you the "Maritime Merriement" trophy. ======================= Zeppelin of Consequence ======================= Terrible Melvin: Use the weight-lifter to give 10 dolls wedgies. Scribbled On: Use the Ambassador who has the "Pen is Mightier..." ability to scribble on 5 dolls. Flower Power: Use Felicity to pass potpourri on 10 dolls. Zippity Do-Da: Use the zip line 3 times. Shattered: Use the large Opera Singer doll to sing at tables with wine glasses and break them 5 times. This requires some moving but there's pleny of glasses at the tables nearby. Steward Stack: Stack up four stewards (workers on the ship). Personally I used three maintenance men by the brig and one banana worker to do it. Say Cheese: Use one of the photo dolls and snap pictures of 10 other dolls. Girls on Film: Use Joe the camera man to film 10 adult women. Remember that the film crew is across from the dog track putting on a show together. Floating High: Stack into the balloon workers on the second level of the dining area and float upwards. There are three small air platforms on the second level. Use the far left and right ones. Mime Abuse: Stack into the large irishman doll and headbutt 5 mimes. There are four that I know of in the dining room area and another at the dog track. Doing all of the zeppelin Hi-Jinks will net you the "Dirgible Daredevil" trophy. ======================= Triple Deck Tank Engine ======================= The Warm Embrace: Hug 5 female dolls with Gilliam. Hallowed Sheets: Cover 5 dolls with sheets. Use the laundry doll in the Kids Workshop. Clocked Out: Knock down 5 dolls with the punch clock ability. The large industrial doll has this ability, he's pretty much all over the train. Soup for the Sick: Use a soup doll and serve soup to another doll when Sully sneezes on them. Tickle Gas: Get into a dusting doll and "Dust" Meriwether. Clownaclysm: Get into the giant clown doll, peck, and scream at 5 child dolls. You meanie! Belly Bumper: Get into the bully doll and belly bump 5 child dolls. There's a bully near the women's only cage. The Artful Dodger: The only hi-jink that really gave me trouble. Escape four guards. One guard is in the pigeon coop. One is before the piano bar, but my game was glitchy and he wasn't there (I had to restart the level). Another is in the gas room and the last one is in the kid's workshop. Evil Stack: Stack any three evil industrialists together. Pretty easy to do, as they are often in groups all over the train. Masked Missus: Use the corporate spy and disguise 5 female dolls. ============================================================================== FAQ (ST 4.0) ============================================================================== Q: How long is this game? A: Good question. I've heard anywhere from 5-10 hours. Using the hint system will make the time go down, no doubt. Q: How much is this game? A: $15. It's actually free for PSN PLUS subscribers. Something to take note of for sure. Q: Is this game "worth it"? A: Well, it isn't awfully long, but it is very humorous and well-made! I think it is, but you should decide for yourself. Watch videos online or read a review to help you decide! Q: Help! I'm missing a doll in the train station! A: Someone hasn't been reading the walkthrough! You can get every doll but one on your first time through. You have to wait until after the Steamship level to stack into the last doll there. I point that out in section 1.3! Q: Where is (insert unique doll) at?! A: Well, I count them down in each section. Go through the section that you're missing a doll in and find out where it is. I was originally going to do an extra section for this, but since the walkthrough portions are pretty short, you should be able to narrow down your search easily. (If you want to see a dedicated section to unique dolls, let me know! With enough "Do it!" emails, you may see it an updated version! ) [Send in your questions!] ============================================================================== Trophies (ST 5.0) ============================================================================== Here's a list of all the trophies in the game, their value, and how to nab them.
