Our hero Nathan Drake believed himself to be a descendant of Sir Francis Drake and with possession of an ancient ring, was able to find the coffin through funding from journalist Elena Fisher. As Drake expected, the coffin was empty save for a diary page from Sir Francis Drake. The excitement is short lived as they are attacked by pirates and eventually rescued by Drake's friend and mentor, Victor Sullivan. While Elena called her editor about the find of a century, Drake and Sully quickly made plans to ditch her for fear of attracting any unwanted attention. The journal led them to the Amazon in search of the lost city of gold, El Dorado. After exploring the ruins of the Amazon, they realized there is no city of gold but rather a statue that was removed long ago by the Spaniards. Disappointed, they proceed to leave only to find a German U-boat trapped in the river. After searching the boat, Drake finds another page of Sir Francis Drake's diary that hints that the statue may have been moved to an island to the south. The crew also appeared to have died in an unusual way. As if torn apart... On the way out they are ambushed by Gabriel Roman and his mercenaries led by Atoq Navaroo. Gabriel is another treasure hunter who learned of the destination when Sully, indebted to Gabriel mentioned that he may have found something big. Drake refused to help Gabriel and so he shot Sully and was prepared to take out Drake as well when Drake's well planned bomb explodes inside the U-Boat. Drake used the distraction to escape, and ran into the forgotten Elena and they head south following the page of Sir Francis Drake's journal. The plane they were in was shot down separating the two. Drake ran into his old rival Eddy Raja who happened to be in service of Gabriel Roman. Drake is forced to help explore and eventually escaped with Elena. They learned more about the treasure and how the Germans were looking for it too during World War II. There is a mention of the statue being cursed but no one pays that much mind. Elena is taken hostage; Drake finds Sully - who isn't dead. Everyone meets up in front of the statue of El Dorado. Gabriel opens it and is consumed by the poisonous dust that transforms him into a hideous creature. However, Navarro planned this all along and his men kill the transformed Gabriel. Navarro brings in a helicopter to transport the statue and sell it to the highest bidder. The final battle occurred as Nate, Elena and Sully tried to stop Navarro and eventually succeed when Navarro and the statue fell to the bottom of the ocean. Our heroes escaped with some treasure and Nate promised Elena he's good for the story of the century. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves -------------------------- The second game revolved around the story of Marco Polo. He is not just a name we yell when playing in the water but an actual explorer. The quote we are shown is, "I did not tell half of what I saw, for I knew I would not be believed." The specific incident we are worried about is the fact that he left China with fourteen ships and arrived in Persia with just one. It was never revealed what happened to those ships. I wonder if we will find out... The first scene opened with Nathan Drake dangling off the cliff holding onto a train for dear life. We have no clue how he got here but we can assume it was a crash of some sort. After a brilliant escape job, Nate and his wounds slowly move up the mountain and then we are sent back to the past to see how this all came about. In a tropical paradise Nate is approached by his old friend Harry Flynn. Flynn's girlfriend, Chloe Frazer is also with him and we soon find out that she and Nathan have a history but this is never revealed to Harry. Harry wanted Nate to help steal a Mongolian oil lamp from a heavily guarded museum. Nate agreed when he discovered the lamp contains a map to Polo's lost fleet. After infiltrating the museum and acquiring the lamp, the map showed that the fleet had been carrying the Cintamani Stone to the city of Shambhala. Unfortunately for Drake, Flynn set him up and takes the map for himself. Drake tries to escape but is captured and spends the next three months in jail. He is finally released when Sully and Chloe bail him out. Chloe claims she had no clue that would happen and apparently Sully used the last of his treasure from Drake's Fortune to get Drake out of there. Drake and Sully took off after Flynn to Borneo and found out he is working for Zoran Lazarevic, a dangerous war criminal thought to be dead. Chloe helps them out as she is still pretending to be working with Flynn. In Borneo, they found a letter from Marco Polo that lead them to a temple in Nepal. Flynn and company appeared right after and Drake and Sully escape without the letter. Sully backs out of the hunt so Drake continues on with Chloe. The duo ran into Elena Fisher and cameraman Jeff looking for Lazarevic and joined up to find the temple. The group encountered Lazarevic and his men who kill Jeff. Chloe protects herself by turning on Drake and Chloe but they managed to escape. With help from Elena's driving, Drake boarded Lazarevic's train but eventually got shot by Flynn. Not to be outdone, Drake shot a propane tank derailing the train. Flashback to the beginning of the game. Drake made his way up the mountain, reunited with Elena and met Karl Schafer. Schafer told Drake about the key to finding Shambhala and sent the native Tenzin with him to find the missing expedition. They found the missing members and returned to the village to find Lazarevic and company attacking. Schafer is captured and Drake takes off after him. However, Schafer is wounded and eventually dies but not before telling Drake he needs to destroy the Cintamani Stone. Elena and Drake met up with Chloe again and she decided to help them. They uncover the secret to Shambhala and are confronted by Lazarevic again. However, they managed to escape when the powerful guardian creatures attack. Flynn encountered the group again and kills himself when he detonated a grenade also severely damaging Elena. Drake set off to fight Lazarvic for the last time at the center of Shambhala. After winning, Nate reunited with Chloe and Elena and they escape. Chloe confirmed Drake and Elena's love for each other and leaves. Drake is an American treasure hunter believed to be the descendant of Sir Francis Drake. He loves two things: adventure and Elena. However, one might have priority over the other. And he's terribly afraid of clowns. Victor Sullivan --------------- "Sully" is a longtime buddy of Drake and also an American treasure hunter. He mentored Drake and has been with him in each of the Uncharted games. Elena Fisher ------------ One of Drake's love interests. She is an American journalist and hosts her own TV show. Chloe Frazer ------------ The other ex-love interest of Drake. Chloe is an Australian treasure hunter and previously had a relationship with Drake. She spent the last game as a double agent but eventually settles on the good side and let Elena take Drake. Katherine Marlowe ----------------- The main antagonist in the game. Marlowe is a British spy. She leads a mysterious order that dates back 400 years and claims to have ownership over Drake's Sir Francis Drake's Ring. Charlie Cutter -------------- An enforcer that you do not want to mess with. His history with the gang is unknown but Elena doesn't think much of him. Talbot ------ Talbot is the right-hand man of Katherine Marlowe. He has some sort of magical power... Salim ----- Salim saves Drake in the desert and is the protector of the lands. Rameses ------- Rameses is the leader of a group of pirates. He takes Drake captive. | |ncharted 3: Drake's Deception +-----------------------------------+--------+ |_|------------------------------+ Strategies, Tips, & How to Play | (UC1c) | +-----------------------------------+--------+ Whether it's your first time playing an Uncharted game or your third, there are certain strategies you need to know to be successful. Some are obvious while others you may not think about. If I forget to mention something, be sure to send it to me. Shooting -------- Like most shooting games. The higher you shoot, the more damage you will do. Headshots are tough but can be accomplished with just about every weapon. They are a lot harder with any rapid fire kind of gun. The upper body is what you should always try to hit because the lower body just eats bullets. As the game progresses, enemies will start to have more armor equipped. Naturally, they will be able to take more damage. In some cases, only head shots will damage them until they lose their helmet and they will be wide open. Taking Cover ------------ Using the environment is the surest way to survive in the game especially on the Hard and Crushing difficulties. Enemies will rarely flank you without you seeing it coming. Most of the time they will stand back in their own cover sticking out occasionally for you to pick off. If you start to take a lot of damage, take cover and heal before returning to the action. Health ------ Like the previous games, there is no health bar but instead the screen to gray and blood animations will appear around the screen indicting the direction you are being hit from. Health is restored automatically over time. Hand-to-Hand Combat and Stealth ------------------------------- Anyone without armor can be defeated in hand-to-hand combat. Use square to delivery blows and triangle to counter. You don't need to time counters just mash triangle to counter. If you get into a grapple, mash circle to escape. If an enemy is facing away from you, you can run up behind him and stealth kill him by pressing square. I have incorporated crushing tips in the places I thought were difficult. If you would like more explanation shoot me an email and I can add a tip. You will need to play a lot safer on Crushing and I will try to add that later. Naturally, my strategies will be whatever I came up with at the time. If you did something simpler or easier, let me know! And if something isn't clear enough send me an email and I can clarify. I try to minimize spoilers. I won't discuss the cutscenes that occur except if they relate directly to gameplay. Instead, I'll just note that a cutscene occurred. First things first, choose the difficulty and a new save file if you are starting from scratch. Time for Uncharted 3! CRUSHING TIPS ------------- If you decided to try a crushing run. Good luck! Take a lot of cover and pay attention to enemy's movements because the buttons to counter will NOT appear on crushing. Check the tips for each section for help on difficult parts. | |ncharted 3: Drake's Deception +-----------------------------------+--------+ |_|------------------------------+ Chapter 1 | (UC3a) | +-----------------------------------+--------+ "Another Round" Treasure: Antique Boxing Medallion Brass Vesta Case Drake and Sully attempt to sell Drake's ring and discover the money is fake. As they try to leave, Talbot, Cutter and company turn on them and we get to start playing. Use SQUARE to punch and TRIANGLE to counter whenever it appears on screen. After awhile you will be thrown downstairs where you have to fight some more. This is where the first two treasures are located. Check by the arcade machine for the 'Antique Boxing Medallion'. You can now be grabbed so you will need mash CIRCLE to escape. You can throw people around as well so they do not surround you by pressing CIRCLE and towards them with the stick. Eventually the big guy will come back for you and you will have your first mini-boss fight. Counter his moves and you will eventually finish him off. Leave the bathroom and go into the bar to grab the 'Brass Vesta Case' before leaving. Then head to the next area. Fight the guys and escape out the back. CUTSCENE | |ncharted 3: Drake's Deception +-----------------------------------+--------+ |_|------------------------------+ Chapter 2 | (UC3b) | +-----------------------------------+--------+ "Greatness from Small Beginnings" Treasure: Emerald and Diamond Ring Antique Coin Purse Antique Colombian Soup Ladle Pottery Chimu Vessel Ancient Chupicuaro Figure Shamanistic Jaguar Head Antique Colombian Table Knife Flashback to Colombia Twenty Years Earlier. You are a younger Drake at a Sir Francis Drake exhibit. There are 14 things to look at on the ground floor including. Press UP on the D-Pad to look at all the exhibits for a trophy. There is a treasure here. Search the middle canon for the 'Emerald and Diamond Ring'. Near the back to the right of the stairs is a dark room containing another treasure 'Antique Coin Purse'. There is another thing to examine up the stairs and then about ten more things on the top floor. You do not have to examine everything but you have to get most of them to get the trophy. To advance the game examine the center piece on the second floor. CUTSCENE After being thrown out proceed to follow Sully. Just past the blue car on the right by the door is another treasure 'Antique Colombian Soup Ladle'. You will not be able to get left at the fork so continue right. After spotting Sully take cover by the police car. Learn the basic cover tactics and then keep moving. You cannot go up the street so turn to the right. Just past the blue booth on the right is the 'Pottery Chimu Vessel'. As the street turns left follow it and you will see a white staircase off to the left. At the top is the 'Ancient Chupicuaro Figure'. Head back and to the left to continue following Sully. Hit TRIANGLE at the door to go to the next area. You cannot go very much left or right so following Sully to the door straight ahead. Of course it is locked so press X to climb up the yellow things on the side of the door or run to the left and climb up the water pipe. Climb past the second window and then up to holding above the fencing. You will see Sully acquire a key and put it into his wallet. Swing to the right and follow the path to end to get 'Shamanistic Jaguar Head'. Jump the railing and climb out onto the '24 Hour' sign. Move across the railing, pull yourself up and jump across. Climb onto the roof and jump onto the Hotel sign. Climb to the top to get 'Antique Colombian Table Knife'. You will Sully smooching with someone so keep on their trail. Climb down to the sign to get back on the ground. Continue up the stairs and through the crowd. At the end you will spot the two of them. Walk up to Sully and you will attempt to steal his wallet. CUTSCENE | |ncharted 3: Drake's Deception +-----------------------------------+--------+ |_|------------------------------+ Chapter 3 | (UC3c) | +-----------------------------------+--------+ "Second-Story Work" Treasure: Dog-Shaped Incan Whistle Silver Chimu Pendant Seventeenth Century Coin Jump onto the rope to cross the street. Climb up the roof and run off the ramp to grab onto the bars hanging out. Enter the covered area and proceed to the end to find the 'Dog-Shaped Incan Whistle'. Proceed back to the center green door and open it up. The 'Silver Chimu Pendant' is right out in the open. Return to ship handle by the door to the left to find the, 'Seventeenth Century Coin'. Go to Drake's display and hit TRIANGLE. CUTSCENE Time to make your escape, proceed up the stairs. At the top you will need to make two jumps to get out the top window. If they catch you at any point it is game over so be swift. When you get to the roof dive through the fence and you will have to mash SQUARE to break free. Proceed to escape, the direction is usually pretty simple. Eventually you will have to press X to make a cutscene jump. At the end when a guy appears in front of you jump off to the left and we go to... CUTSCENE | |ncharted 3: Drake's Deception +-----------------------------------+--------+ |_|------------------------------+ Chapter 4 | (UC3d) | +-----------------------------------+--------+ "Run to Ground" Treasure: Diamond-Studded Horse Brooch Coral Cameo Brooch Victorian Locket and Chain Silver Roses Bracelet Strange Relic Fierce Lion Bangle Pearl, Diamond and Ruby Brooch Escape from the police with Sully and Cutter. After fitting through the tight spot turn right, right away to find the 'Diamond-Studded Horse Brooch'. Nothing too hard here, just jump the fences and then you will learn how to move objects to clear high walls. CUTSCENE Do the slow walk with your squad and then climb up the pipe. Run across the roof and climb across the objects. Inside do not fall too fast or you will die. Before climbing through the window climb around the pipe and you will find the 'Coral Cameo Brooch'. Go back and jump the window and move to the left. Reach the ground level and find some boxes in the corner to get the 'Victorian Locket and Chain' at the very top. Then move to the garage door. Hit TRIANGLE and... CUTSCENE Explore the empty room until you find the tire tracks. Look around at them to trigger the secret entrance. We leave Chloe behind as we continue ahead. Follow along until a gate blocks your path. Look to the right for a door. You will need to shoot the lock off. Move through the tight space and you will encounter your first enemies. Shoot them and move in to fight two more. Off to the right is the 'Silver Roses Bracelet'. Proceed up the ladder and then jump across the pit to the pipes on the other side. If you work your way up by moving left and climbing the vertical pipes you can reach the top and grab the 'Strange Relic' for the trophy. A little ways down you can jump across to pick up the 'Fierce Lion Bangle'. Take cover when you land and wait for the enemies to get close before opening fire. Climb up to knock the ladder down in the room up ahead and then boost up Sully. Turn around a climb up yourself. Halfway up to the left is the 'Pearl, Diamond and Ruby Brooch'. Move to the right and work around the air ducts. Find the red and yellow lever and pull. It is stuck so have Drake climb up to open it. On the left is a ladder. Climb that and around and Sully and Cutter will get it open. Drake has to stay up top so cross the rafters and jump to straight and to the left to continue. Shoot the guards down below if you choose and jump to the left to grab the wall. Jump across the hangings and down the wall. Use stealth on the next guard and continue on ahead. There is an opening to the right where you will use a new kind of stealth. Continue around and up the stairs. CUTSCENE Take out the two guards on the ground floor. Right by them is a desk you can climb. At the top is the 'Victorian Copper Penny'. Go the center table and hit TRIANGLE. CUTSCENE Climb back up the pillars and jump across to find the golden head of a deer. If you checked Drake's journal it would have shown that and had it circled. Take out the enemies. If you run out of ammo wait for your guys to finish them off or run around and melee them. Go out the door and head upstairs. Go all the way around to the other side and check by the small table for the 'Victorian Gold Sovereign'. Turn to the railing and jump over it to acquire the trophy "Ride the Crocodile". You can now pick up their guns too. Fight your way out past the plethora of new guards. Keep cover and shoot them one at a time. The laser sighted enemies will run off if you get close so just roll to avoid their fire. You can pick up the KAL-7 here which is perfect for blindfire. On top of one of the first trains is the 'Silver Hunter Pocketwatch'. Shoot it down from above and go pick it up. A little later on after climbing up the ladder there will be another train with the number 126 on it. You will run into the back of it first so move in front and pick up the 'Art Nouveau Flask'. At the end will be a guy with a sawed-off shotgun so do not get too close. Continue forward, using cover and the propane tanks around the level. Head straight either left or right. When you hit the stream, go right into the cave to get the 'Antique Wax Seal Stamp'. Head for the waterfall and then right and jump down. Turn left at the ravine. Climb up left at the statue to get the 'Gold Inlay Cameo Bangle'. You might have to back up a bit but it is over a minor wall. Then go back and climb up past the flute statue and around the cliff. Continue on across the tree bridge and past the orange car. Climb up the Chateau wall but before going into the window, keep climbing and climb up to the next opening for the 'Diamond and Pearl Bracelet'. Return back to the window. Run across to the hole in the floor and jump down. Shoot the lock on the window directly across from you. You cannot proceed just yet so help Sully lift the bookcase so you can access the stairs. Jump across onto the chandelier and crank the lever. Jump back and to the new one. Push the beam out of the way and head down. This part is tricky. Proceed onward until you go up a floor and then jump back down when you can get past the wall. It is easy to see from above. Then head for the staircase. After the short cutscene head to the left and around the second set of stairs to find the 'Louis XVI Louis d'or Coin'. Jump out the window on the middle level. You will come to this room with four knight statues. Before solving, there will be an opening to the left. Shoot the shining object hanging at the top of the curtains on the left to acquire the 'Emerald Cameo Brooch'. The statues can be turned, check Lawrence's notebook for a clue. All four knights are shown and they must be turned to face whatever weapon they are paired next too. 1. Turn the knight with the shield twice to face axe holder. 2. Turn the knight with the axe once to face the shield holder. 3. The knight with the sword is already in the correct position. 4. Turn the knight with the morning star once to face the shield holder. The fireplace will release some ash so go check it out. Naturally you go following down again into a cavern. Head to the right to get the 'Art Nouveau Belt Buckle'. Continue ahead through the tight space and... OH MY GOD SPIDERS. Up ahead you will have to swim under a rock then climb up out of the well. And somehow Talbot and company are here already. They must have followed you. Time for a tough battle. Take cover and use propane tanks. Eventually you want to climb up the house to the left and grab some grenades. Jump down and to your left in the corner is the 'Ruby and Diamond Ring' go and take cover by the next grenade case. Aim one up by the two guys and you will blow the whole thing down. Climb through the opening. Sully is pinned down so help him out and he will join you. Take out the guys while staying in cover. Be sure to throw back grenades enemies throw at you. Once they are all cleared, head upstairs. Break through the door and turn right. Climb up the wall and walk across the wooden beam to get the 'Silver Rococo Teapot'. Return and jump down. You will discover one of Talbot's men but it looks as if he has aged a thousand years in a matter of hours... Another puzzle in the next room. Open the journal to find the order or follow my instructions: 1. Step on the tile with the circle and the smiling face. 2. Move up, left, up, right to cover the four 'n' shaped tiles. 3. Move up, up, left to cover the three 'x' shaped tiles. 4. Move down, left, up, up to cover the four 'pitchfork' shaped tiles. 5. Move right, right to cover the two 'x' shaped tiles. 6. Move right, up, left to cover the three 'n' shaped tiles. 7. Move up to the devil thing. Head through the passage into a lab. John Dee's lab! Look up at the ceiling and shoot down the shiny object to collect 'Miniature Portrait Pendant'. Walk around, examine the altar after Sully lights the room and jump down the hole. The next room contains another puzzle. Examine the journal for clues. On the ground are four reflectors that change when you step around them with your torch. You need to surround the symbol with these four (or three) to complete the puzzle. Go to contraption in the center. 1. Press down on the right stick to get to the horse symbol with its front legs in the air. Move it to the column on the far left and one row up from the bottom. 2. Press down on the right stick to get the phoenix. Use the left stick to move it to the bottom row middle column so that the three symbols around it are like they are in the journal. 3. The lion needs to be moved to the left four times. Second row from top, second column from left. 4. The horse on the ground goes on the middle row second column from right. Head up and climb through the opening then be prepared to run. There are two segments and then you are in the clear. Head up and drop down into the building. Run down the hall, out the window and jump across the chandelier. When you climb up, the floor will give creating a path for Sully. Instead of following him, turn around and jump up to the remaining floor. Go into the room and in the corner is the 'Gold and Pearl Stickpin'. You will run into some more enemies, so shoot the gasoline to finish them quickly. Proceed through the Chateau killing off the enemies. You will eventually run into a brute so counter his attacks and finish him off with a gun. Just after you will run up the stairs and get stuck. You have to take out two guys real quick with your pistol so aim for their heads. Shortly after you have a short time to jump across before you die. There are more enemies, more fire and lots of holes collapsing. Once you reach the roof, the tower collapses and you got to do another super run. Jump over and drop down on the arches, grab the 'Silver Sassanid Coin' and return. Climb over the next tower and you will work your way down killing enemies. Let them come to you so stay up top. Let Sully in at the bottom. After lowering the gate with Sully proceed into the courtyard. To the left up above is a shiny object. Shoot it down to collect 'Ancient Metal Elephant'. Shoot the lock off the next gate. Right after entering to your right is the 'Crusader Coin'. The next door is locked so jump onto the water basket and Sully will lower you. Take out the guards that appear. In the back room to the left is the 'Enamel Copper Vessel'. Climb up the wall in the other room, shoot the lock for Sully and jump across behind you to meet up with him. Run across the to courtyard and... CUTSCENE Run up the stairs and a battle begins. You will notice a treasure is on the wall on the opposite side. Shoot it down and you can run back down and grab it off the ground, it is the 'Marble Double Eye Idol'. Head back up and around to their side. The G-MAL helps a lot here. Go into the entry way and up the stairs. Lift the gate and continue. In one of the windowsills on that floor is the 'Medieval Lead Horseman'. Fight the guards and eventually you will blown outside. Swing on the ropes and stay under cover and take out each guard one by one. When you get high up and are moving back left you have to climb the rope a bit to make that final jump. Take out the guys in this room and press TRIANGLE on the door near the center. A brute appears so take him out and go on up. CUTSCENE Run across dodging the rockets and grab the Dragon Sniper. Take out the guys firing RPGs and you will attempt to zipline to safety. You and Cutter do not make it so follow him. You lost all your weapons again so work on your stealth kills so get some. This is the first appearance of guys in armor so aim for their heads. Head up the stairs and to the door. And it is a... storage room? Stand on the symbol to your right and you can use the binoculars. Look down and to the left where its lit up. Then look up at the pillars to find your next destination. Of course, the enemies spot you and it is time to fight again. Stay up top until they dwindle down then head down there. You are trying to make it to another tower where snipers will eventually spawn. Head up while Sully covers you. Sully blows the tower and creates an opening for you, check to the right as you enter for the 'Byzantine Reliquary Cross'. Search the pillars then around back and... Fight him off by countering and punching and eventually he will try to choke you out. Sully and Chloe step in and save you. Follow the circular room to the left to get the 'King Bohemond III Coin'. Head upstairs and light the four statues. There is another doorway on this level that leads to another brazier. The spiders are back. Use L2 and aim your torch to the next one and throw. Then go pick it up. The second one is a lot more difficult. Move to the right of the one you just lit and aim for the one up above. I noticed it is easier to do if you aim lower than you think. After that, turn to the right and jump and grab the chains hanging. Run up around and across the beam to the brazier you just lit. Grab a torch and hit the next one. Again aim lower than you think. Jump across and now you can either throw it to the next one or just jump and light it yourself. You should not die (I didn't on Hard). Then start cranking. Before going across the water, note the shiny object on the wall. Jump into the water and swim so you are under it. Shoot it and quickly get out of first person view and keep hitting triangle to grab the 'Antique Cuff Bracelet' before it sinks to the bottom. Then move across the water and crank the second one. You now need to move the globe so it matches up. Try to match up the big image in the bottom right and it is the easiest to find. Move back upstairs and into the new passage. Right ahead on your left is the 'Crusader Fleur-de-lis'. CUTSCENE Move to the back and hit TRIANGLE. CUTSCENE Do not even try to take cover. Just run and roll. CUTSCENE This is a tough battle. Right away you can do a cool SQUARE kill if you run down the stairs. Stay low and watch out for the guys with the riot shields. Checkpoint if you can get halfway across the map. Use throwback grenades to your advantage. Help Chloe open the door and it is time to fight again! And then more. Just use the same tactics. Continue down the stairs. Turn around and go to the pool of water, grab the 'Silver Jambiya Dagger'. Keep following Elena and you run into cops. Turn left, an Arab will help you through the gate and then you are stuck behind cops again. Against the wall is the 'Golden Yemeni Bracelet'. Climb up the ladder to left and keep heading up. Once inside, head up the stairs. Instead of going right loop back around and grab the 'Traditional Silver Bead'. Go down the long hallway and up. CUTSCENE Follow Talbot and then take out all the guys. There will be a brute so watch out. You can use this time to finish people with a fish to get the trophy. Stand by the fish and press square to use it in your attack, it's a bit tricky. Before leaving, head to where the crowd was watching and to the right. There is the 'Amber and Silver Necklace'. Continue back to the left. Go down the stairs and search for the 'Kahraman Amber Necklace'. If you climb up from here and check behind the boxes you will find the 'Unusual Red Bead Necklace'. Then you can follow the gang again. Drake makes a mark of it on his map. Find the moon symbol and hold the map up to the room. All three of you will pull the levers and a passage opens. After the third room, on the green carpet area there is a treasure just to the left, 'Silver and Leather Dagger'. You become trapped in the room so head up the left entry way. Find the gears on the floor and put them back in. You want to look for gears that are crosses or have four circles on them. Alternate them in and be sure they are big enough to connect. The last one you need is up on a ledge so go the other way and climb up and get it. Before leaving, check by the stairs the right side on the ground floor for the 'Pearl and Emerald Brooch'. Leave the room and go up the right passage. To the left of the stairs is the 'Silver Box Pendant'. Run to the center and hit TRIANGLE. Go to the right and look at the white drawing on the wall. You want to match the one in your journal to what is happening here. Line up the point of the spear with the red jewel on the wall inside the white drawing and get the body parts to create a person. The spot you want to be standing at is toward the right aim the light in the direction of the picture and get the spear guy to line up and hit TRIANGLE. Before leaving return to the center and look to the right of the drawing. On the ceiling is a shining object, aim the light at it to release the 'Silver Filigree Bracelet' to the floor. Return to the main room and continue through the center door. Grab a torch after a bit and light the center brazier. CUTSCENE Time to ward of these spiders, use SQUARE to get some room. You can run and sweep the torch at the same time and only you need to survive to do not worry about the others. Just go back the way you came. Eventually you have to wait for Elena to open the door so take the shotgun and blast some spiders. Grab Elena's shotgun when you run out of ammo and by the time you run out again she will have it open. CUTSCENE Walk back the way you came but eventually you will get ambushed. Stay behind cover as there are a few armored fellas and one brute. After you win, Sully will boost you up. Jump across to the gate and move around to the left and grab the, 'Silver and Coral Ring'. Then move back to the right and out of there. On the way out, go right and grab the, 'Amazonite and Amber Necklace'. Go up just a bit more and on the right again is the, 'Silver Capsule Pendant'. On the opposite side just past the fountain is the, 'Amazonite and Amber Earring'. CUTSCENE Run after Talbot. He does block a lot of your paths but the camera moves in the direction you need to be going. About halfway through it will stop as you enter a crowd of people. Drake will ask where did he go. Head to the right and then left inside the room to grab the 'Silver Yemeni Bangle'. The chase is long eventually you fight it out and just when you think you won Rameses comes and knocks you out. You will have to fight about fifteen guys hand-to-hand and then a brute before you can leave. As you climb up head to the side with the tires and not the rum to find the 'Seahorse Vesta Case'. Go back to the rum side and climb up and circle around to go through the doorway. On the right is the, 'Silver Figa Amulet'. Once you enter the water. Be careful. There is a turret so stay out of its path. If you make it to the far end you can grab an RPG and take it out. There is another just past it alone so watch out for that too. If you are by the second turret and head along the wall on the platform you will run into the 'Antique Silver Parrot'. Climb up to where the first turret is and then climb the mast. Grab the TAU sniper or the Hammer and take the snipers out that try to get you. Keep climbing and take out the next wave and then push the box so that a path opens up. There is a treasure here you probably see, 'Turquoise and Pearl Bracelet'. It is a tricky one, try jumping around those beams and at the weird one jump to the far end and then jump across quickly. There has to be another way but I finally succeeded on my twentieth try. Move around the huge tanker and up the side. There are plenty of climbing battles so just get cover and take out the guys. When you get close to top and grab onto a rope you actually want to climb up. Turn left and grab the 'Unusual Blue Stone Ring'. Climb back down it and then gain momentum before jumping across. Instead of heading into the next room, drop over the side and move down. At the bottom is the 'Gold Scarab Brooch'. Climb back up and go inside. CUTSCENE Before jumping on the zipline, run to the corner and grab, 'Gold Axumite Coin'. Then fly on down. Fight a few more guys and then bust through the door. If you start shooting all the guards will come after you so choose wisely. Cross the first bridge and then the second and turn right. By some barrels in the corner is the 'Antique Silver Box'. From here turn around and hug the right wall. You will turn right, right and then right again to find the 'Ancient Gold and Coral Bracelet'. Turn around and head straight and left a bit. Cross one bridge and then jump to the next platform. See the yellow container? Inside is the 'Silver Tribal Bangle'. Turn back around and head for the green crane thing. Lower it and run up but a pirate will appear and blow it up. Climb out of the water and get ready to fight another horde. After dispatching the enemies you will notice one guy with flares standing on a ship. That is, unless you already killed him. Head over that direction and up the ramp to get on another ship. You do not make it unfortunately and get hit with a giant wave. When you recover start running and jump onto the ship. Time to take a out a few pirates. Grab a KAL-7 and take cover. After you kill a few and more start to drop in the other boat will pull up along side you. Take a few of them out as they come over. Eventually the boat you are on catches fire and will blow up so jump over to the other boat and take out the remaining pirates. However another boat starts firing rockets over on the one you are one. Run up the right side of the boat and grab the RPG. It takes three hits to sink the other boat and do not worry about ammo because it keeps respawning. After you watch the scene, run over and jump to the ladder on the cruise ship. | |ncharted 3: Drake's Deception +-----------------------------------+--------+ |_|------------------------------+ Chapter 14 | (UC3n) | +-----------------------------------+--------+ "Cruisin' For a Bruisin'" Treasure: Unusual Mask Brooch Rose Cut Diamond Pendant Emerald and Pearl Necklace Antique Minerva Pendant Ruby and Pearl Pendant Georgian English Compass Ruby and Diamond Bracelet Amethyst Cufflink Golden Amethyst Ring Head right and before you get to the stairs go left and grab the 'Unusual Mask Brooch'. Go up the stairs, around the stern and left again which will be a dead end containing the 'Rose Cut Diamond Pendant'. Head back and jump into the life boat on the back. It breaks off so climb up to the next level. Climb up the yellow ladder and go either way. Take out the guard here and climb up on the containers. Head right and then back around. A small cutscene here leaves you exposed with plenty of enemies. After clearing the enemies climb up on third fallen container, it is yellow and then jump over to the stack of containers. At the end of the open space is the 'Emerald and Pearl Necklace'. CRUSHING TIP: ------------- Save your grenades! This next guy is a insanely hard on Crushing. When he drops down, throw two grenades at him to remove his armor and just shoot his exposed leg. He will go down no problem so grab his PAK-80 and finish off the guys. The second battle can be tough. Especially on Hard and Crushing. There is a heavily armored foe who jumps down and your guns will not be strong enough. Lure him back to where you started and then run back where he came from. Kill the other guys that come and when he returns run back another time. When you run back to the other side for the second time a guy shooting the Hammer will die pretty easily so grab it and unload on the armored pirate. Use the gun he dropped to finish off the pirates and then run over to the red sliding door. In this new area, head straight and then to the left by the windows is the 'Antique Minerva Pendant'. Jump into the pool and get Drake to say "Marco?" to acquire the 'Marco Solo' trophy. Enter through the spinning door to the ballroom. There will be another battle here so stay up top. After clearing the first wave head down until the laser sights appear on you. I would recommend running back up so you are out of the sniper's range and can deal with the other guys or you can stay down. There is a Tau Sniper on the stage at the far end that you can dispatch the enemies up top with. Take out the guy with the grenade launcher first and grab it for those armored enemies. If you are having trouble, remember you can blow up this green air tanks by shooting at them. After clearing this wave, a few more will enter from a door to the left or right depending on where you are. Go through there and turn right to grab the 'Ruby and Pearl Pendant'. Head down the side of the ship, stealth the pirate not facing you and keep going down to the end to grab the 'Georgian English Compass'. Go inside where you stealthed the pirate and take on a couple more. Behind the counter of the bar is the 'Ruby and Diamond Bracelet'. Continue through the rooms and down the stairs. Before going through the door check under the stairs for the 'Amethyst Cufflink'. Proceed into the red room and down the hall, turn left as soon as you can for the 'Golden Amethyst Ring'. Jump across by the number 4 and climb down. Run up to Sully... CUTSCENE | |ncharted 3: Drake's Deception +-----------------------------------+--------+ |_|------------------------------+ Chapter 15 | (UC3o) | +-----------------------------------+--------+ "Sink or Swim" Treasure: Silver Rococo Napkin Ring Another huge battle here. Take cover and remove the shotgun guard right away. Enemies will come from all over so get yourself in a corner and keep them to one side. As you kill more the more water flows in and eventually tips the boat ending the fight. Swim over to the right corner and climb up. You have to do a few TRIANGLE mashes when the water comes and you get trapped. Swim over to the bubbles and break open the gate and continue on to get some air. Jump over a few gaps and climb up the red rope and up the passage when you can. Climb up the doors and the second one will swing open. Climb into it and up by jumping to doors. When you get to the second room, go left into the bathroom to grab the 'Silver Rococo Napkin Ring'. Climb up the bookcase and jump across. Run down the ship and jump the gap to the elevator. It kind of work until the fall. Climb down and jump onto the red rope. The game makes it look like you want to jump out but you want to jump toward the ocean and grab onto the yellow circles. Run toward the exit and then escape the water and jump the boat. CUTSCENE | |ncharted 3: Drake's Deception +-----------------------------------+--------+ |_|------------------------------+ Chapter 16 | (UC3p) | +-----------------------------------+--------+ "One Shot at This" Treasure: Mosaic Birds Pendant Song Bird Brooch Enamel Bird Ring After lifting the door climb up the boxes to your right. Climb to the top of the stack on the left for the 'Mosaic Birds Pendant'. Climb over the side and into the next room. Run to the car and push it up to the window. At the top quickly climb on top and jump to the window. Continue along and climb up to the roof. On the second roof you can fall through the open windows and take out the guards or go around the side. Once inside, in the right corner closest to the area you came from is the 'Song Bird Brooch'. You have to climb a box to get it. On the opposite corner of this treasure is the door you have to shoot open to let in Elena. There are three locks on the bottom so shoot them off to open it up. Upon doing so a car pulls up behind you with and you got to fight off a few guards. Push the car, take out the new guards and climb through the window on the left side of this new area. Behind the green car in the corner by the boxes is the 'Enamel Bird Ring'. Continue forward and take out the guards in whatever manner you like to. I would try to stealth as many as possible. Once you are spotted they will send a lot after you including a few armored guys and snipers. Climb up the buildings and get onto the roof. Jump onto the ladder and get down. CUTSCENE Run across and a light will spot and you will be eaten alive by a turret. Climb up the roof to the left and take out the guards up there. It might be tough since the game reset your weapons. Continue on ahead and run after the airplane. It is moving too fast but Elena comes with her jeep. Jump on and direct her to the center as to not hit the side wheels. Jump onto the front wheel and you are off. Take out the guards quickly and then slowly make your way up. When the fire hits do not go any further just wait for the side of the plane to blow and everyone will get sucked out. You can glance at the stars but nothing helps. When you awake, you see Sully! Follow him to the oasis but alas it is just a mirage and you are back at the well. When you awake again head for the rock. After this just keep walking and see Sully again. When you awake next head for the wagon and then you spot a village in the distance. Turn right and go past the gate into the open room. Climb the ladder and jump the low wall. You will fall into a room and just by the wall before the exit is the 'Coin of the Qataban Kingdom'. Walk out and jump down the well. Walk through the slit and attempt to drink the water. It is no good so turn around and climb up the wall where the white lines are. Walk through either opening and check the wall right away for the 'Antique Silver Linked Bracelet'. Continue ahead and break the door down. Time for a fight. Looks like Marlowe's men were sent to check the wreckage. Take cover behind the pillar and wait for a guy to run up to you and hit SQUARE to knock him out and take this M9. This a great gun so conserve ammo. There is an armored guy here so wait until he is about to throw a grenade and shoot him so it drops and blows himself up. Head down and finish the guys off. Grab all the ammo you can and head for the big opening. An enemy will come and shoot out the pillar holding it up and you fall. Head to the left of the only standing red pillar and pick up the 'Antique Agate Wedding Ring'. Shoot out the pillar now so you can climb up the wall. Watch out when you land as a guy starts shooting right away. At the top of the stairs a sniper sets his sights on you. Move left behind the pillar and take him out. Then continue left and right to the corner to pick up the 'Silver and Cornelian Necklace'. There is a Mag 5 there too that should help in the next battle. There are three enemies to watch out for here. If you have the Bolt Action and Mag 5 take out the enemies as fast as you can. There will be a guy with a riot shield that will come right up the middle use a grenade or overpower him and run over him by hitting SQUARE and then SQUARE again after he is stunned. A guy with an RPG comes to your right a bit later and then an armored enemy right after to your left. After clearing everyone head straight down the middle collecting ammo. Before heading into the small room turn left and go into the other small room. This room contains the 'Ancient Sabaean Bust'. Head back around and through the small slit. If you missed the treasure you cannot back out of the slit for some reason so just restart from the checkpoint and you will be rewind a few seconds without having to do the battle again. Jump over the wall and go to the right corner to grab the 'Ancient Kingdom of Sheba Coin'. Turn around and get ready for another fight. Unfortunately there is a turret here. But if you notice it is supported on four breakable pillars. Take out of three of them and it goes down, making this a lot easier. From your starting position, take out the guy to your right and then two of the four pillars. Head to the right and go all the way to the final room and on your right is the 'Antique Bedouin Bracelet'. Head back to the starting location and take out anyone that comes your way. There are a few armored guys at the end and another guy with an RPG so take them out quickly. Grab an RPG off the ground and blow open the wooden gate. Climb the ladder and it is already time for another fight. Well maybe not much. You do not have to much of anything before you are rescued by some Arabs. Climb up on the horse and start shooting at the bad guys. A sniper takes out the rider so steer your horse around while shooting. You need to take out the guy with the RPG on the next pass, grab it and then blow open the gate at the end. CUTSCENE | |ncharted 3: Drake's Deception +-----------------------------------+--------+ |_|------------------------------+ Chapter 20 | (UC3t) | +-----------------------------------+--------+ "Caravan" Treasure: Carved Sabaean Face The Royal Game of Ur Bronze Sabaean Bull Sculpture Follow Salim for a bit and then ride to the left truck. Climb in and kill the guy. Remember there is a trophy for killing ten guys in the trucks with your fists so do that if you wish. From the truck still, shoot the two guys on motorcycles and then jump back on your horse. Ride up to the next truck and do the same. Even if you die the hand-to-hand kills still count. Another motorcycle will come up behind so finish that guy off. For this next part, stay to the right side and jump into the right truck. If you come directly behind both guys shoot you too much. Then just jump across or shoot the guy from the other truck. Get back on the horse and keep going to the left truck with the big box. Kill the guy to the right and the new motorcycle guy and the guy in the truck with you. Head up the next truck, take out the guy and jump in. Grab the RPG and blow up the two trucks with the turret. Now quickly jump back onto your horse before the truck blows. Make your way up still and blow up the three motorcycles. A quick cutscene and Salim picks up and eventually you can jump back to your horse. Continue killing the guy on the back of each truck and recover by staying behind and then keep going. Eventually you will make it to the front and Sully needs help. Ride up the side of the big truck and jump in. Fight the Brute and then jump on your horse when you are hanging and it rides beneath you. CUTSCENE Skip the two roaming guards and go to the right and stealth that one. Grab the Bolt Sniper and start picking off guards. There is a heavily armored foe with the PAK-80. Finish him and you can use that gun to stop anything. Keep moving ahead and killing everyone. The next segment is tough. There are many turrets. There is an RPG with one rocket on the left and right side on top of a house. Use these to take out the turrets. After disposing of the enemies, head to the center door and inside. On the left is the 'Carved Sabaean Face'. Continue ahead and climb the ladder in the next room on the right. Before pulling the lever, jump to the left and shimmy around to grab 'The Royal Game of Ur'. Press the lever and find it to be slightly broken. Let go and Sully takes over. Jump through the moving ones on the right and climb down to nab the 'Bronze Sabaean Bull Sculpture'. Ride the lift up and jump to the platform. Jump across, climb out onto the long ledge and jump to the two chandeliers. Hit the lever. At the end is the 'Bronze Man of Nashqum". Head back up and go down the other set. Halfway down on the left should be a break in the railing. Jump into the tower and grab the 'Sabaean Alabaster Stele'. Continue down and to the right for a... CUTSCENE Time for a fight. But wait, now guys burst into flame and can teleport! This could get tricky. Finish them off and head right into the building. Near the back at the top of the stairs is the 'Akkadian Statue Head'. Finish them off with the RPG and Hammer and run into the center contraption. Run after Talbot and to the right. The chemical is setting in and you are in a new location. Keep running away from the spiders and when you get the chance shoot Sully to wake up from that nightmare. Turn around go grab the 'Sabaean Moon Symbol' at the base of the statue outside the elevator. Head to the gate on the left and you will have to fight off some more of these fire demons. Once you finish them all the gate opens. Run out and fight some more and go through the big open doors. Another huge battle takes place. This one is tough but pick a side. Some of the guys throw fire balls that will kill you on impact. Use your grenades and the RPG right there to finish them off. Head through the door into the empty pool room. On the other side hit TRIANGLE to fill it back up and follow your reflection around in the correct order. Head clockwise and turn the gear. Head around the pool and turn the other one. Jump in and pull whatever that is out. You will wake up in the room and the drug has worn off. Head through the opening and on the left side past the second statue is the 'Statue of Gudea'. | |ncharted 3: Drake's Deception +-----------------------------------+--------+ |_|------------------------------+ Chapter 22 | (UC3v) | +-----------------------------------+--------+ "The Dreamers of the Day" Treasure: Gold Cup from Ur Golden Hittite Goddess As you proceed down the stairs turn around at the bottom and grab the 'Gold Cup from Ur'. Then head up and take cover behind the pillar. Clear the two guards on this path and the armored guy who eventually comes. Then work on the snipers. Go into the next hours and head upstairs via the ladder. Grab the Bolt Sniper and clear everyone from the bridge. Then head to the final building. CUTSCENE Turn the lever and proceed down to the depths of the city. Keep walking and before going up the stairs grab the last treasure over to the right, the 'Golden Hittite Goddess'. Then go up. Kill the two guys down below and jump down. Move your way forward eliminating everyone. When you go down the next set of stairs kill the Hammer user to the left on the bridge and then the armored guy in front of you. Proceed forward, kill the other guy in this room and the two new guys to the left. Stay in the room and take out the sniper and RPG guy up above. Head out and grab the Bolt Sniper. Take out the two new guys and head on from where they came. Watch out for the grenade when you enter the cavern. Take out the two guys here and open the gate. Head left across the bridge. CUTSCENE Take out the guys running toward you. Watch out for the RPG up top about two stories up. Take the Bolt and finish him and the others. Run down the bridge. You do not have to go too far before the next wave hits. Move back to the start and snipe them from there. When done, head to the elevator. Kill these two guys, then climb the ladder to the right and then up onto the gears on the other side. Finish these guys and the guy out on the bridge. Climb the ladder and watch out for the grenade on the next one. Kill the guy from the ground floor and climb up. Watch out for the guy on the top of the stairs. Go out the opening and... CUTSCENE Keep running and jumping from platform to platform. You will eventually engage Talbot in a knife fight. But you do not have one. Keep punching and mash TRIANGLE whenever it appears to counter. There will be a few events where you have to mash CIRCLE to keep from dying. When you get hit to the edge and survive, Sully intervenes but you go falling with the gun. Climb up and when you get the chance finish Talbot off with the gun. Congrats. You beat the game. In Uncharted 2 you had no choice over your starting weapon. That's all changed. Now you have four different loadouts that can store a complete set of weapons, boosters and kickbacks. You can even give it a name! Be sure to set a loadout to default if you wish to use it. You can even switch during a match. KICKBACKS: - What is it? A special ability available after obtaining the set number of medals during a match. There are many to choose from each with a number of medals required based on how good the kickback is. Once you reach the number required, press up on the directional pad to activate it. Remember that medals do not carry over to the next one so use it as soon as you can. BOOSTERS: - What is it? Boosters are special bonuses. You can equip two at a time and they work in all modes except 'Hardcore'. All the boosters can gain levels as you achieve the specific mission for each. When they gain levels the boosters increase in their abilities gained. EMBLEMS: - What is it? A unique design to show off your awesomeness to everyone. You get four layers and several shapes to work with. When you're the leader in a game, your emblem is plastered all over the level. If you have the emblem shirt, you can run around with your emblem as well. MISSIONS: - Yet another thing seen in Call of Duty games. Missions add a fun little challenge to the game. Before the match starts you can choose to bet some money that you'll be able to accomplish a task within the 30 minute time limit. If you do you'll get a money bonus. But work fast, the timer starts even while you're searching for a match! BUDDY SYSTEM: - In every gamemode you'll be paired with a buddy. Unless you're the Lone Wolf in which case you can hold down on the directional pad and someone can slap hands to switch buddies. There is a point to this buddy system. You can spawn to your buddy if they're not in combat, dead or near a grenade. Helps to keep the team together. Any treasure they find goes to you as well. There are a couple boosters that let you leech of their wealth too. And if you both happen to kill an enemy you can run over and high five your buddy for a medal. POWER PLAYS: - Only occur during Team Deathmatch. Whenever a team goes up by six or more kills, there's a chance a Power Play could occur. There are three stages that occur in order as a way to even the odds. The first stage is the Marked Man. One of the players on the winning team becomes the Marked Man. If he dies, the opposing team scores two points instead of the usual one. He is instantly revived as the Marked Man and the Power Play continues until the score is tied or the timer runs out. The second stage is Exposed. All members of the winning team are exposed. Everyone's name is displayed on the map to the opposing team no matter how far away they are. Like stage one, it disappears when the score is tied. Lastly, the third stage is the most unforgiving. Double Damage is implemented and the winning team now dies insanely fast. The power play ends when the score is tied. | |ncharted 3: Drake's Deception +-----------------------------------+--------+ |_|------------------------------+ Strategies, Tips, & How to Play | (UC5b) | +-----------------------------------+--------+ Shooting From Cover: -------------------- The campaign experience and many other third person action games teach you to press up against a wall and lean out to shoot. This is a terrible idea in the multiplayer games. For one, it creates a huge target for the opposing team. Instead you should stand in front of the wall or pillar and make it so your crosshairs are just to the right or left of the edge. This makes your body target a lot smaller and still provides the same amount of room for shooting. Plus you are not confined to the wall and can see all around for enemies trying to flank you. The one time you actually want to shoot while you are pressed against cover is when you are using blindifre. Say you're getting shot at and you take cover behind something that makes you crouch to be fully covered. Instead of popping out using L1 or standing straight up. It is best to use blindfire and shoot at the enemy who will most likely be running toward you. The may be able to kill you if they have the high ground but on a flat surface, there is no way they survive. Pull Downs/Kick Offs: --------------------- Both of these are instant kills and are executed by hitting square. If you are hanging from a ledge, you can pull someone down if they are in reach. This works on ANY platform no matter the height. That means those boxes that are just above the height of the player. If you can hang from a surface you can pull someone down. Be cautious though because they can also kick you off and the kick takes precedence over the pull down. There is one exception and one strategy to combat this. The exception is if you jump to a ledge and pull someone down as soon as you grab on. Make sure they are right there or they can quickly counter with a kick off. A great strategy is to come to a ledge and wait for someone to run over and kick you off. Drop down and wait for them to miss with a melee attack now. Quickly climb back up and pull them down. Rolling, Jumping, Shifting Back & Forth: ---------------------------------------- There are multiple ways to avoid fire in this game. Rolling decreases your height but if you roll toward or directly away from fire it actually increases the amount of bullets you will take. Jumping typically causes your shooter to adjust his movements and lose a bead on your character. Moving back and forth also helps as well to avoid fire. Using a RPG: ------------ The RPG is one of the strongest weapons in the game. It can kill anyone at any distance with one shot. Normally, it is better to aim at the enemy's feet rather than their body as there is a good chance it could miss. If you shoot too far away from them when aiming at the ground they will at least stumble and you can run up and knock them down. Most levels have a RPG somewhere, these come with two rounds. You can also spawn a RPG as a kickback and these arrive with just one round. If you kill someone with a kickback RPG they will not drop it. Throwing a Grenade: ------------------- Grenades have plenty of uses but are unfortunately a bit random in terms of blast radius. They can be thrown four different ways: while aiming (L1), thrown back (Triangle), steady aim (hold L2), and quick drop (tap L2). When you aim down the sights you can throw a grenade the farthest. Just aim high and let it rip. If you hold L2 you will see where the grenade will land and can pinpoint your tosses. This is especially helpful when you are in cover and you have time to be accurate. To quick drop a grenade just tap L2 and it will drop a short distance away. Alternatively you can roll and tap L2 to drop one in your roll. This is especially helpful when someone is shooting you from behind. A new tactic in the game is the ability to throwback grenades. This can be slightly tricky but with a little practice can be mastered. First things first, you cannot throwback your own grenades, your teammates grenades or a grenade that was already thrown back. The next part requires some practice. There will be a meter next to the grenade and you must press triangle while the red line is in the white area. If you miss the white area you do not get another chance so do not mash triangle. There are different meters depending on if the grenade came off the wall or is a revenge grenade. Also, if quick boom is activated thrown back grenades become quick boom grenades. Meleeing and Stealth: --------------------- Melee tactics are the same as they were in Uncharted 2. It takes two hits to kill someone or you can soften them up with bullets before finishing them off. It takes a bit more than it did in Uncharted 2 so make sure to get the timing down and everything will work out. Stealth is relatively the same. This time a blue ninja icon will appear when you can stealth an enemy. Sometimes it is hard when they are just standing still but just look for the blue icon. Respawning, Respawn on Buddy: ----------------------------- Respawns are generally placed a good distance from the action but there are the rare occasions where you will spawn in the middle of a firefight. A new feature is the ability to spawn next to your buddy. There are some restrictions if there is a grenade near your partner, an enemy or they are shooting you cannot spawn with them. There are occasionally hiccups in these restrictions and sometimes you can sneak in a spawn. Grenade, Treasure Box and Weapon Locations and Respawn Times: ------------------------------------------------------------- One of the most important things to learn is the location of all the power weapons, grenades and treasure boxes. These tend to be higher traffic areas where you can find enemies to kill or snag a powerful weapon. It is also help to know when they will respawn. The general time limit is just over two minutes so check the timer and be sure to know when they were first picked up and how soon they will respawn. Treasure boxes are not set to any specific timer and will open randomly. Teammate and Enemy Icons: ------------------------- Icons are quite helpful in the game. When your teammate's icon changes from green to yellow, that means that they are engaged in a battle. If you see an X by their name that means they just died and there is an enemy in the vicinity of their icon so watch out. Powerplays: ----------- Powerplays are granted to a team losing by six or more kills in team deathmatch. Powerplays go Marked Man, Exposed, and Double Damage. In Marked Man you want to kill the Marked Man. If you are the marked man, find a good secluded spot with more than one escape route. If you are exposed, do not cut corners be sure to stay in the open more so you can see people coming. Lastly, double damage is ridiculous so you should really just hide. Most levels have a good spot no one ever goes, just wait it out. Kickbacks: ---------- Kickbacks are very useful in doing well in Uncharted. Some are clearly better than others and you should experiment with them all to find what fits your style of play. Also keep in mind how many medals are required for each kickback. Medals do not stack so you should use your kickback as soon as you can but not as soon as you get it if there is no reason to use it. Taunting: --------- The only real benefit to taunting is to get the In Your Face medal for taunting over people you kill. Of course there is not much more satisfying than taunting after you kill someone that should have killed you. It is one of the few maps with two locations. Originally one team started in trucks outside the plane and the other inside. However, it was quickly realized that the team inside had a huge advantage. Now, both teams start on opposite sides of the plane. It is certainly advantageous to get inside the plane as soon as possible. This first section lasts just under two minutes. At this time, a warning message will be displayed. Unfortunately the truck directly behind the airplane will blow up before the message is displayed. Be sure you are not in the truck when the time is less than 18:30 or you will be in danger. If your team is winning when the plane takes off, you will receive the "Drake's on a Plane" medal. The most popular Power Weapon people usually go after here is the M32-Hammer. It's inside the big warehouse in the center on the upper level. Heroes should quickly climb up into the second story and run to the center as they have a slight advantage. The villains still have a great line of site from the opposite end to defend the weapon. There are two changes to the second part of the level. Randomly, the wooden building will blow up on top of the roof. If you're near it or inside you will die. The RPG also drops from the roof and is available for use. In the far corner is another turret. This also becomes available at random times. You will see things crash around it that you can climb when it is ready. Occasionally airplanes will fly over and shoot at anyone out in the open. Your character will slow down and take damage and will not die unless you are severely injured already. The turret that is always open is both dangerous and dangerous to the user. The range covers the entire roof and plenty of ground area. Luckily, there is an enormous wall behind the turret and virtually any grenade tossed at the wall will drop and eliminate the turret user. The map below is oriented so the top is the hanger area. There are three doors that can be closed inside the main building. Press triangle near the button to close them and protect yourself from flank attacks. The level is flat and open. Perfect for snipers and the G-MAL. Inside the warehouse crowds up and range is limited but still available for the long range guns. There a few differences to the map this time around. First, you will notice it is nighttime. This makes things harder to see. A few things have been removed as well. The sniper rifle on the villain's side has been replaced with the T-Bolt but the one on the water tower for the heroes has been replaced with the shotgun. The billboard on the hero's side has also been removed so that cover will no longer help snipers. The bigger red explosives are missing as well. Lastly, the helicopter does not come and bomb random sections of the map. One thing to note is that three ziplines have been implemented as well. There is one from the top of the water tower to the construction site on the left. There is one by the Bolt Action Sniper that goes down a level inside the center building. Teams max out at 5 vs 5 but can start early if there are not enough players. In Uncharted 3, players can join the game at any time to fill the game back to 5 vs 5. In some maps, there will be an additional location prior to the actual map. Airstrip has the plane battle and London Underground has the train battle. These sections are only available during Team Deathmatch and last a couple minutes. Power plays are another addition to Uncharted 3 and exclusive to Team Deathmatch. When a team goes up by six or more kills there is a chance a power play can be triggered. Power plays are never activated during the intro battles on Airstip or London Underground but will trigger instantly as soon the the players arrive in the actual level. Power plays end instantly when the score is tied again or they will only last for a minute. The three power plays are: Marked Man - Kill the marked man to score two points. Exposed - All players on the winning team are revealed on the map. Double Damage - All players on the winning team take double damage. [Overtime] ---------- If the score is 49-49, the game goes into overtime when one team hits 50 kills. Overtime will kick in and the game continues without stopping. [Sudden Death] -------------- If the score is tied when time expires, the game goes to sudden death. Everyone is revived with one life and all the names are exposed. The last team left is declared the winner. Plunder: [20 Minutes - Score Limit: 5 - 5 vs 5] ----------------------------------------------- Plunder returns from Uncharted 2 and it works essentially the same. The starting spots are the same as they are in Team Deathmatch and that is also the location of each team's treasure chest. The Idol will spawn randomly and each team must try to pick it up and return it to their chest. If you pick up the Idol, your speed will decrease tremendously. While carrying the Idol, you can melee kill an opponent in one hit if they are close enough and place the Idol in the chest. However, you can throw the Idol and move it faster than carrying it but you cannot throw the Idol into the chest. If you are carrying the Idol and fall off a ledge you will drop the Idol. When a player places the Idol in their team's chest they will score a point and everyone gets the Captured! medal. The Idol will spawn again randomly in a couple seconds. The first team to capture 5 or the team with the most captures at the end of twenty minutes is declared the winner. There is no overtime in Plunder. Also remember that kills and deaths do not count toward the overall leaderboard of kills but they are still counted in your profile statistics. Three Team Deathmatch: [20 Minutes - Score Limit: 20 - 2 vs 2 vs 2] ------------------------------------------------------------------- Three Team Deathmatch is a new mode in Uncharted 3. There are three pairs playing against each other. The first team to score 15 wins. Team strategy is very important and you will constantly run into two players if you do not stick with your partner. Many of the weapons are moved or removed from the map to even the playing field. Check the map section for changes. [Overtime] ---------- Similar to Team Deathmatch if two or all three of the teams have 14 kills the game will go into overtime. All three teams compete in overtime even if one team has less than 14 kills. The team with the most kills at the end of the overtime is the winner. [Sudden Death] -------------- If two teams tie again the game goes into sudden death. Unless all three teams are tied, the team with the least kills is removed and the other two compete. Each player has one life and everyone is exposed. The last team left is the winner. Team Objective: [5 vs 5] ------------------------ In Uncharted 3, all the objective modes have been combined into one where teams play a best-of-5 series to crown the winner. The order is random but the game type is displayed a few seconds before the start so you can prepare. There are two ways to end a round, either the time limit expires or the score limit is reached. If the score is tied, no team will be given the win and the game continues. Chain Reaction: [4 minutes - Score Limit: 5] -------------------------------------------- There are a total of five zones. Each zone must be captured in order. Generally both teams will capture their first two zones and then battle it out for the third in the center of the map. Once zone three is captured, the winning team moves on to zone four which is the losing team's zone two. When a zone is captured, the next zone in line returns to its neutral state. The round is over when one team captures all five or the time limit runs out. In that case, the team with the most zones captured wins or it will end in a tie. To capture a zone, a member of the team must be standing in the glowing area. A green circle will begin filling up until it is complete. The number of people in the zone DOES NOT speed up the capturing time. If someone leaves the zone before the circle is complete and they were the only person in the zone, the timer will reset. If both teams are present inside the zone, the timer will reset. Whenever you are standing in the zone when it completes, you gain one capture good towards the Expansionist medal. King of the Hill: [4 minutes - Score Limit: 200] ------------------------------------------------ There are two different locations the Hill can appear in each map. After two minutes have gone by, the Hill will change locations. King of the Hill is special in its own way. The amount of players in the Hill does not speed up the capture time but it DOES affect the amount of points given. A point is given every second for every player in the captured Hill. So a maximum of five a second and a minimum of one. Staying in the zone does have its advantages. However, there must always be at least one player on your team in the zone or it will begin to reset. There is a buffer zone for a few seconds. As soon as an enemy runs in, it will reset. Treasure Hunter: [4 minutes - Score Limit: 150] ----------------------------------------------- This is a new mode to the Uncharted series. A treasure idol will randomly appear and your team scores points for every second the idol is in possession of someone on your team. The person holding the idol will have his or her location displayed via the idol icon. Remember that the idol can one hit kill anyone near you. Use that to your advantage. Deathmatch: [1 minute - Score Limit: 15] ---------------------------------------- This deathmatch has a short time limit. Kills are very important so be careful. Remember that kills do not count until the round starts. Multi-Marked Man: [4 minutes - Score Limit: 5] ---------------------------------------------- Similar to the Marked Man powerplay in Team Deathmatch but doubled. Each team has a Marked Man that must be killed. The first team to kill five of the other team's Man wins. Normally it will rotate through all five players when one dies but it is possible to be the Marked Man again after you die. Both players locations are marked on the map. Turf War: [4 minutes - Score Limit: 300] ---------------------------------------- In Turf War, there are three zones that are always in the same location in each map. Having multiple teammates in the zone does not speed up the capture time. Once captured you do not have to stay inside. You receive one point every second for each zone under your control. When an opponent enters the zone, there is a quick uncapture process and then they can begin capturing the zone. Hardcore: [20 Minutes - Score Limit: 50 - 5 vs 5] ------------------------------------------------- Hardcore is the stripped down version of the game. Kickbacks, boosters, and powerplays are removed and the game plays like a normal Team Deathmatch. Free For All: [15 Minutes - Score Limit: 15 - 8 Players] -------------------------------------------------------- Another new mode added to the game. All eight people are against each other and the fight is intense. The spawn points are close to each other so fights start right away. Many of the weapons have been moved as well, check the map section for changes. There is no overtime. A great strategy is to wait until two people start attacking each other, join in and try to steal the kills. Co-op Hunter: ------------- See Co-op section for complete information. Two on two matches where one team tries to plant as many treasures as possible and the other team hunts them. The hunting team gets a few CPU units to help and then they switch sides every round. Videos are saved automatically when you play a game. However, only 20 are stored and will be erased when 20 new ones arrive. You can archive videos by pressing triangle. This still counts to the limit of 20. To upload a video to YouTube, Facebook, or save it to your PS3: 1. Highlight a video, choose 'START CINEMA' - Note that they say UNEDITED at the end 2. Go to 'RECORD' and continue 'PLAYING' - You will notice the time bar gets shorter when RECORD is selected. 3. When done recording. Pause and 'LEAVE CINEMA' - A new video will pop up displaying 'EDITED' instead of 'UNEDITED' 4. Highlight EDITED video, choose "CONVERT TO VIDEO' - You will watch the video again while it converts 5. You can save an entire match if you Save it to XMB 7. Press the PS button and go to Video to save the video to a USB Drive/HDD If you are getting a "8002D001" Error, this is common. Since the whole YouTube/Google merger everything is messed up. Try logging in with your Gmail account username and password. Leaderboard : ------------- The leaderboard is pretty self-explanatory. There are four screens: kills, money, wins and Co-op points. Kills track all the kills, deaths and kill/death ratio a player has obtained through Team Deathmatch, Free For All, Hardcore and Three Team Deathmatch game modes. Kills from Plunder and Team Objective do not count toward this total but are kept track under the profile statistics. The money tab keeps track of all the money a player has acquired. This total is not deducted when spent. The win's tab tracks wins across all game modes and has the same ratio of wins to losses as the kill tab does. Lastly, the Co-op tab calculates all the points acquired in Co-op game modes. All tabs show the time played and if you press Triangle you can filter out all the names to just your PSN friends and see how you compare. Rolling Ammo Master (Silver) "20 times in a row, pick up ammo while rolling" You can pick up ammo quicker while rolling, roll over guns lying on the ground and you will automatically pick it up. Propane tanks can be picked up and thrown and all you have to do is hit the shoot button for it to explode. 33. Dyno-Might Master (Silver) "Defeat 5 enemies with one explosion" This is tough: grenades, hammer or RPG all work for this. 34. Grenade Hangman (Bronze) "Defeat 10 enemies with grenades while hanging" Simply hang from any ledge, aim and throw a grenade. 35. Drop the Bomb Headshot (Bronze) "Make 5 enemies drop their grenades by shooting them" Wait until an enemy stops to pull out a grenade and fire anywhere. 36. Throwback (Bronze) "Kill 10 enemies with thrown-back grenades" Press Triangle when the grenade is near you and try to aim it back. 37. Throwback Master (Bronze) "Throw back a grenade and defeat two enemies at once" A little tricky but if you don't get it go to Chapter 22 and clear out the first couple of guys on the stairs and inside the house. Leave the guys on the bridge alive. Take cover by the door and wait for one to throw a grenade. Press triangle at the right time and you should get it because they stay close together and don't come any closer. 38. Bare-knuckle Brawler (Bronze) "Defeat 20 enemies with hand-to-hand combat" Don't forget you can soften them with guns before finishing them. 39. Bare-knuckle Slugger (Bronze) "Defeat 50 enemies with hand to hand combat" Same as the previous one. 40. Master Ninja (Bronze) "Defeat 50 enemies with stealth attacks" Sneak up behind an enemy without making noise and stealth kill them. 41. Expert Ninja (Silver) "Defeat 5 enemies in a row using stealth attacks" There are a couple of good spots for this. In Syria when you are with Cutter and you are trying to make it to the tower. With Elena at the Airport after clearing the first few hangars. 42. Riot Rocker (Bronze) "Defeat 5 Riot Shield enemies by running over their shield" To do this you must continuously shoot an enemy with a riot shield until they lift it up to the sky. Run over to them and press square. After jumping over them you ahve to press square again to get the kill. At the start of Chapter 16, there is a shield user. Take out the first two guys and the armored fella on the right then you have all the time in the world. After finishing the kill, restart the checkpoint and do it again. 43. Brute Beater (Bronze) "Successfully counter all of a Brute's damage-giving attacks" You have multiple opportunities to do this. Press triangle to counter. 44. Quick Study (Bronze) "Inspect every display case in the Cartagena Museum" Easy, just interact with most of the cases in Chapter 2 45. Ride the Crocodile (Bronze) "Stand on the crocodile in the Secret Library" The Secret Library is during Chapter 5, after you jump on the golden deer head and leave through the door. Go back up the stairs and around the other side then jump over the railing where the crocodile is stationed. 46. Co-op Adventure: ---------------- Chapter 1 - Borneo Part 1 Have one guy run straight and stealth the guy there. Another player should run around to the right and get that guy. The third player should stealth the guy to the left. After this, everyone should have a gun so proceed ahead and take out everyone. When the option to open the container is available, grab all the guns you need and start hitting it for a second to trigger the next set of guys. Run back to the starting spot and wait for them to come to you. There will be a couple guys after you and then a few more up above. After clearing the enemies head up the ladder and fight a few more. An armored will come up behind you so finish him and clear the guys across the bridge. For this next section do not jump down into the pit. Toss a grenade or two in and then work on the armored guys. For the most part, they won't climb up so you will be safe but watch out. Part 2 The next area will look familiar. Stay in the back area for most of this fight. There is a Tau Sniper on the roof above you that you can climb up the ladder and get. There are a few snipers across from you as well you can grab when the enemies die down. One of the mini-bosses will come at this time and he has the ability to throw three grenades at once. Keep working at his head, blow up propane tanks and stay covered in that first area. If you need to, you can run all the way back as far as you can and as far as I know, enemies do not come back that far. Watch out for snipers across the map. Once you cleared the area start to open the container and then get back to one of the corners. There will be snipers again and some closer to where you started. After finishing these guys off, finish opening the container and proceed onward. There will be a couple more guys across the gap. You can run to the right and come back to trigger them. Past that is a couple ledges you need to climb. There are four more guys here you can get by killing from below them. Collect their ammo and continue to the last area. Part 3 This one is long but easy if you know what to do. Have everyone jump to the right and stealth the guy there. Take out the lone guy to your right and then all the guys that start coming from in front of you. There is a M32-Hammer to your left if you drop down and try to run through the jungle. Have on guy start working on opening the container and have one guy clibm to the top of the tower on the far end away from the house. This spot is amazing. No one will climb up or be able to hit you if you are in cover. There are two things to watch out for. A lot of guys will throw grenades up there especially if your teammates aren't killing them fast enough. About 80% of them won't reach you or stay insdie the tower. But if they do you need to throw them back because grenade deaths are instant deaths with no chance of revival. If you aren't given the option to throw it back it didn't make it up there so don't worry. Your job is to scout the area and let your teammates know where guys are coming from. Eventually RPG guys will come from two spots on your left. It is crucial to finish these guys quickly before they take you out because they can. Unless there aren't many enemies, you should stay inside the tower at all times and let your teammates die. The reason being, you won't have to start over if only they die. Eventually Lt. Draza emerges and will hunt you down. He is absolutely deadly with the sniper and can get two quick shots off. These are almost always an instant kill so take cover. The best way to finish him is to snipe him from the tower and when he takes cover. I don't recommend keeping two guys in the tower because too much attention will be drawn to the tower and you will die a lot easier. Just keep at it. If you run out of ammo in the tower, head back to the house while someone else hangs out in the tower. Another good spot for someone to hide is right below the tower to the right by the box. If you are looking for treasures for the Skeleton skins you will get the drops from the armored guy with the three greandes, the armored guy after that across the pit and from Lt. Draza. Chapter 2 - Chapter 3 - Chapter 4 - Syria Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Grab a Tau Sniper and head out the window. Quickly find cover behind a stone sticking out from the wall and wait for enemies to stick their head's over the side and take them out. After they are all gone you will reach a checkpoint. Get ready for a tough fight. Two choppers swoop around the tower shooting bullets and rockets. There will also be random guys popping out of the center of the tower. Use the RPGs to your advantage and keep cover around center tower to survive.
