IMPORTANT NOTE [FE!]: First off this is my second Fire Emblem FAQ. In my previous one, Path of Radiance, I started by writing the walkthrough for easy mode, then proceeded on to normal and hard modes. For this walkthrough, I will do the same. Thus, right now I am only working on easy mode. If you are playing on a harder mode then note that there will be differences for each chapter and right now this walkthrough may not be incredibly useful to you. However, I will eventually get to the other difficulties and, in the end, I think this walkthrough will turn out just as nice as my last one. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\| |////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////| ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- @. Before We Begin [FE*]: If you email me please make sure that the question hasn't been answered on this FAQ and also please do not ask me questions about parts I haven't gotten to yet. I have plenty of things that I am working on but I will try and complete this FAQ as soon as possible. Anyways, this FAQ is not to be redistributed/sold or any other crap like that. This is just to help you beat whatever level it is that you're stuck on. Also note that I will not go step by step in each chapter as different people like different characters. It's up to you to decide which characters to use but I will offer some general advice on that matter. PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL ME SAYING THAT THE CHARACTERS I LIKE ARE BAD. YOU ARE ENTITLED TO YOUR OPINIONS ON CHARACTERS AS I AM ENTITLED TO MY OPINIONS. IF YOU THINK THERE ARE BETTER CHARACTERS THAN THE ONES I USE THEN GO AHEAD AND USE THEM.THE CHARACTERS I'M USING ARE NOT NECESSARILY THE BEST. One last note, though I will not discuss what happens in cut scenes there will probably be some spoilers in this FAQ. If that bothers you then beat the game on your own without the help of a FAQ. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\| |////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////| ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- #. Hidden Items Note [FEHIN]: Throughout the game you will be able to find items hidden on various spaces on maps. I will mark them down by number on my maps, list them, and try to describe their locations. An important thing to note is that it may take several turns for the item to show up. To find the item just keep having a character wait on the specific space. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\| |////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////| ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ^. Data Transferring [FEDT]: Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn is the sequel to Path of Radiance, and as such, it allows you to transfer data to it. However, as of now, only normal and hard mode epilogue save files can be used. Also, you must not even have any form of an easy mode save on your Path of Radiance file or the game will freeze up. Now onto what actually transfers: First, you can get stat bonuses for your characters. If a character reached level 20 of their final class and capped a stat (or more) then they will receive a fixed bonus to that stat (or stats) in Radiant Dawn. The Health stat bonus is +5 while Strength, Magic, Skill, Speed, Defense, Resistance, and Luck get +2. Some special cases, however, are Danved, Calill, and Sothe. Danved will get all of the bonuses from Devdan since they are actually the same person. Calill will receive her own bonuses and any bonuses that Largo would have received since he is not playable in Radiant Dawn. Sothe will receive his exact stats from Path of Radiance if he reached level 20 even if the Path of Radiance stat is lower than the base stat in Radiant Dawn. Also, since his resistance cap is lower in Radiant Dawn, if his resistance in Path of Radiance is 15-20, it will be 15 in Radiant Dawn. Next are the weapon rank bonuses. If a character's weapon type reached C to S rank then there will be a weapon experience bonus given in Radiant Dawn. The bonuses are 40 for C rank, 80 for B, 120 for A, and 160 for S. Now onto Supports. Support conversations on a Path of Radiance epilogue file can be viewed in the support library once you create a new Radiant Dawn file using the Path of Radiance data. Also, 'A' level supports in Path of Radiance will become bond supports between the characters giving a +5 to critical and dodge. Last, we have Coins which were previously thought to be useless. Now any coins from the Path of Radiance epilogue file will transfer to Ike's convoy at the beginning of Part 3. They now can give bonuses to forged weapons. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\| |////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////| ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- I. On turn 3 Leonardo, a level 4 archer, will join your group at the top left of the screen. Overview: The town is being attacked by some bandits. So it's your job to get rid of the losers. There are only 4 of them so this should be a very simple task. They all only carry axes so Edward will have the advantage against them all. Also, Micaiah and Leonardo can hit them from a distance without fear of being hit in return. Suggestions: I would suggest mainly using Micaiah and Edward, as Leonardo isn't the best of the archers. The bandit in the middle will drop the herb and he can be easily picked off from a distance by Micaiah, if you want to off him quickly then let Leonardo injure him first. Be careful of the bandit on the right because he will move once you are in range. The boss remains stationary and will only attack if you are right next to him. Thus, you can take him out with whichever character you want. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\| |////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////| ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. He's a bit higher in level than the others right now so I wouldn't overuse him too much. However, he is a good unit so overall you will probably want to use him throughout the game. Overview: The enemies now have a variety of weapons, but that's just fine since you now have a larger variety in weapons. To start you'll want to visit the house on your left to pick up the vulnerary. Move north so that Nolan can take on the lance user to the left and Edward can take on the axe user to the right. Keep Micaiah right behind them so that she can attack from a distance. Just keep moving forward, making use of the bottleneck that's a few spaces below the boss. Suggestions: Unless you plan on using Leonardo, just leave visiting the houses to him. When you get the hand axe, make sure to pass it on to Nolan. Send Nolan and Edward up front and make use of their weapon advantages. Let Micaiah stay right behind those two to get some experience from hitting/killing enemies. The two enemies on the bottom left don't seem to move at all so you can easily take them out. Remember that if you are right next to an archer, they can't hit you back. The boss, Isaiya, has a steel sword that he will drop when he dies. He won't move at all so you can hit him from a distance and basically kill him however you want. You may also want to trade items between characters before finishing this chapter. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\| |////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////| ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. She can only heal so make sure to keep her in the back and have her heal your characters as necessary. On turn 3, Sothe, a level 1 Rogue, will also join your party. He will enter at the top left of the map as I have marked. Overview: On this map there are ledges that you can go up and down. The enemies can also use these ledges so be careful. All of the enemies will attack you when you are in range. When Sothe appears, you can use him to open chests. He is level one but he has already been promoted. Thus, he can pretty much take care of himself. However, you should let your unpromoted units get the majority of experience for a while longer. Be aware that the enemies with ranged weapons can attack you even if they are on another level, however, you can also hit them with ranged attacks. Also note that Micaiah and Sothe have an A level support with each other. So, you can keep them close together to give them both better evasion, accuracy, and strength. Suggestions: I would suggest that you start off by having Nolan block the doorway to your right. Position the rest of your party at the bottom except for Edward so that he can attract the enemy directly above you. The two closest enemies will attack you and on your second turn you can take them out and have Laura heal if necessary. I would suggest moving Sothe down when he arrives, so that he can join up with the rest of your group and not gain too much experience just yet. The boss is the one character who won't move so when you get up to him you can take your time and make sure to distribute your items to the right people. Then you could have Sothe get the contents of the chest and have Micaiah use the Thani tome to take out the boss. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\| |////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////| ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3. Unlike Aran, this guy is just another enemy for you to kill. Units: Ilyana, a level 12 Thunder Mage, joins your party. However, there are better magic users in the game so I can't really recommend using her much. You also have two partner units, Kurth and Aimee. They can't fight and you can't move them directly. However, after you move Micaiah you can have her direct these partner units. I would suggest that you just use the direct -> target command and select a square at the top of the map. On turn 2, Aran, a level 7 soldier, will come out right at the top where you start. You must have Laura talk to him in order to recruit him and use him. Overview: The goal is to defeat the boss who is at the bottom of the map. Take note now that he has a Discipline Scroll which you should have Sothe steal. Also, make note of the thickets and healhedges which will add to the evasion of whoever is standing on them. Healhedges will also heal a little health each turn for whoever is standing on one. Be careful of the archers because they can attack from across walls and one of them has a longbow. You can of course hit them back with ranged attacks if you don't want to wait until you get around the walls. An enemy drops a door key, but door keys aren't really even necessary because Sothe can open doors without them, and any of your characters can attack doors to destroy them. Suggestions: First off, you could open the door on the right but I find that it may be easier to just send your whole party down the left side. You can take your time with the two knights because they won't move. The other enemies will move so don't let anyone get too far ahead. Heal as needed and proceed cautiously making use of the thickets. You can let Sothe steal some items including either a hand axe or iron axe depending on which you want. You just have to get the enemy with these axes to equip the one you don't want to steal. Stealing is also a nice way to give Sothe a little more experience. The boss, Burton, will not move but his weapon has range so be careful of that. Let Sothe steal the scroll and then Micaiah should be able to easily kill him with her Thani tome. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\| |////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////| ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4. Chapter 4 - A Distant Voice [FE4]: Note: From now on at the beginning of each chapter you will start out at your base. Here you can move around items and put them in storage if you need/want to. You can also make use of bonus experience in the manage section. Bonus experience is given after each chapter depending on how well you met certain conditions. In example how fast you beat the chapter. So if you want you can give experience to your characters to level them up. I'd suggest using exp on low level characters to help them become usable. You can also give characters new skills if you have any such as the discipline skill you should have just acquired. An important thing to note is the info conversations you can read in your base. 1 star means that the conversation is merely interesting/funny. 2 stars means that it will usually give you advice on how to handle the next chapter. 3 stars means that you will probably either get a new item or new character. Another thing to do at your base is to buy, sell, or forge items. To do this just go into the Shop menu. Your base is the only place to buy items so make sure you have what you need before you leave. Forging items can be useful yet costly. I'd advise making weapons for weaker characters that you want to help level up. You can change weight, atk, critical rate, and even the color of the weapon. By going to the Library section you can see the bonus exp you've received in previous chapters and see info on characters and terms. By going into the Support section you can create and work on supports between characters. Each character can have a support with any one, and only one, other character. You can get this support up to A rank and you can also erase it if you want to start a different one. One last thing to do at your base is to save the game if you need to. Another note is that this is the first chapter in which you get to choose which units you want to take into battle and where you want them positioned. Of course, some characters must go into battles and you can only position your characters on certain spaces. ______________ | C C| | X+ X X+| | | -----|X | | | | | | h |------| h | |1 | O 2|X | |- -| OMS |- -| |X OO OO | | O | | | | X h h | | X 3 | |C | |______________| Player Dawn Brigade 9 Enemy Laguz Bandits 3 Laguz Bandits 5 Dropped Items: 1 Chest Key Stealable Items: 1 Chest Key Items in Chests: Bottom Left Chest: 1 Pure Water Top Left Chest: 3,000 gold Top Right Chest: 1 Seraph Robe Items that can be found: 1. 1 Beastfoe by standing on the space one left and one down from where the top left healing jar is. 2. 1 coin by standing on the treasure in the northeast corner of your starting area. 3. 1 Master seal by standing on the space one left and one down from where the bottom right healing jar is. Units: Meg, a level 3 Armor Sword, will join you if you simply read the info conversation entitled "In Town" at your base. Overview: This is our first fight against Laguz. One key thing to remember is that they are only dangerous while transformed. Thus, it is easiest to take them out when they have a human form. Another thing to notice is the holes scattered around the map. You and your opponents will have to go around these obstacles. Note that some of the walls can be broken and the one laguz above you will try to break a wall down to get to you. The healing jars will heal a little health of whoever is near them. Sothe and Micaiah can have a couple little conversations in this chapter if you put them next to each other and select "Converse". Suggestions: I suggest you start off by playing defensively. Block off the south and let the two laguz down there come to you. While the laguz up top is trying to break down the wall, hit him with some ranged attacks to take him out. When you go get the coin you can hit the laguz to the right with some ranged attacks to take him down. Make your way around the map with your stronger units out front to protect your weaker ones. The two bosses Agony and Pain will not move so you can safely hit them with ranged attacks. Just don't forget to get all of the chests before killing everyone. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\| |////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////| ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5. Units: Volug, a level 15 Wolf, will join your group if you read the info conversation entitled "Nailah" at your base. Overview: Your goal here is to defeat every enemy but first you'll want to go up and help out Jill, Tauroneo, and Zihark. Some of the enemies will move towards your group and will make use of the ledges. Tauroneo's group will get attacked but they should be able to take care of themselves for a while. The only problem is that they're stealing experience from you! So get up there, protect them, and keep them from hogging the experience. You can have Sothe talk to each of them but they won't join you in this chapter so the only point in it is to see the conversations themselves. Note that the sand will hurt your movement a little so be careful of that. This is also the first map with enemy magic users. If you've been leveling up Micaiah decently like you should be doing, then she should have no problem with them. Suggestions: The enemy with the master seal will start moving toward you from the bottom right. So I would have Sothe around there to steal it from him when he gets close. Get up around Tauroneo's group and defend there for a bit while being careful of the soldiers that appear at the top left. Once you've gotten rid of most of the enemies, you can easily go over and take out the boss. He won't move but does have a ranged attack so be careful. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\| |////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////| ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6. Chapter 6 - Raise the Standard [FE6]: Note: This chapter has two parts to it. The second part will start right after the first and you will not be able to go to your base in between. You will, however, be able to switch items around between your characters at the start of part two. 6.1 Stage One [FE6.1]: __________________________ | | + | | | | | XX | | | | | X X | | | | | | | X | | | X | ---- | /--| | | | | X \ | | | | \ | / X --- | | | | || 1 | | | | -- | | | | XX | | | | 2X X | | | | --X - \ | | | || /| O O \| | |-----|| | | VOO | | | -----| |TSM | | | | OOO | | | | O O | |____|______________|______| Player Liberators 13 Enemy Occupying Army 13 Base Conversation Items: You can get 1,000 gold by reading the conversation entitled "Outside the Village" at your base. You can get the Renewal skill by reading the conversation entitled "Kurth" at your base. Dropped Items: 1 Steel Sword 1 Hammer 1 Steel Lance Items that can be found: 1. 1 coin can be found as marked on the map, there is a tree 2 spaces to the right of it. 2. 1 Arms Scroll can be found as marked on the map, there is an enemy 1 space to the right of it. Reinforcements: 2 Armor Sword and 1 Armor Axe appear at the top right, 1 Pegasus Knight appears at the top middle, and 1 Thunder Mage appears near the boss at the end of turn 1. 1 Pegasus Knight appears at the far left at the end of turn 4. 2 Soldiers appear near where the boss was when he is killed. Units: Tauroneo, a level 14 Lance General, Jill, a level 14 Dracoknight, and Zihark, a level 3 Swordmaster will join your party as soon as you get to your base assuming they survived the previous chapter. Out of the three, Jill is a good unit to use. Zihark is already promoted and you should already be using Edward instead so you may not want to use Zihark much. Tauroneo is also already promoted and not very useful except maybe to be a decoy and take hits. Overview: At the beginning this chapter looks quite simple. You and the enemy have the same number of units. However, the enemy will be getting a few reinforcements. In particular, watch out for the Pegasus Knights because they have very good movement. In general, you'll want to advance slowly as a group, making use out of the thickets. Also, pay attention to the enemy weapons since they have a decent variety. Defeat every enemy to win. Suggestions: By this point if there is a character or two who you've been completely ignoring, like I've been doing, then you may want to just start leaving them out of chapters even if you could bring them. Let the enemies come towards you so that you can hit them first. Some won't move until you're in range so you'll want to put someone with the advantage just in range of them. The two Armor knights by the boss won't move at all so they're easy kills. The boss, on the other hand, will attack you when you get in range. Therefore, put someone like Tauroneo just in his range so that they can take the hit and not die from any possible criticals. Then you can let someone else finish off the boss. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\| |////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////| ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6.2 Stage Two [FE6.2]: ____________________________ | XX G G | | X GGG | | X+ G G | | X G | | | X X | | | b X X | | --X | | |--- --------X X-| | X / ~ | | ~| | X 1 /~ ------| |--| | X -----/ / | | /~ / | | / / X | | --- b | | X X | | X X | | X --- | | --| | | | | ~ | | | | ---- TSO | | - | OOMVO | | | ~ | OOOOO | |____________________________| Player Liberators 13 Enemy Maradan Army 8 Occupying Army 21 Dropped Items: 1 Red Gem 1 Paragon Skill Stealable Items: 1 Steel Lance or 1 Javelin, whichever the boss doesn't have equipped Items that can be found: 1. 1 Master Seal, 3 spaces down from the mage to the left of the top ballista. Reinforcements: 2 Axe Knights appear at the top right corner at the end of turn 5. Overview: This map is pretty big, so just take it one step at a time. First you should quickly go up and take out the enemies around the ballista. At the end of the first turn, Fiona's group, the Marado Knights, will become your allies. They'll move towards the right and most of them will be carrying villagers. Thus, they'll need to be protected. If Fiona survives, she'll join your group in the next chapter. You'll now want to move towards Fiona's group to protect them but mounted units will be coming at you from the left so keep some good units at the bridge to take them down. Defeat every enemy or just kill the boss to win this battle. Suggestions: After you take out the cavalry at the left bridge, I would move everyone up to the top right to block off that bridge and protect Fiona's group. Once you've handled the majority of enemies there, you can then proceed to go after the ones around the second ballista and boss. Be careful, because the boss will attack when you get in his range. Thus, I suggest you move slowly into the other enemies' attack ranges so that you can kill them without the boss moving. Once the other enemies are gone, you can easily take out the boss. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\| |////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////| ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7. Tormod, a level 5 Fire Sage, Muarim, a level 19 Tiger, and Vika, a level 13 Raven appear at the bottom right at the end of turn 1. 2 Soldiers appear at the bottom left and 1 Soldier and 1 Fighter appear at the bottom center at the end of turn 6. 1 Wind Mage and 1 Fire Mage appear around the boss at the end of turn 8. Units: Fiona, a level 9 Lance Knight, will join your group if she survived the previous chapter. Have Sothe talk to Tormod in this chapter to instantly recruit Tormod, Muarim, and Vika. Overview: To start off you'll want to send Sothe towards the right so that he can quickly talk to Tormod when Tormod and his group appear. Other than that you should make your way up the left side, possibly splitting into two groups. There are 5 prisoners that you should release in order to get some extra bonus experience. However, before opening their cell doors, make sure that you first kill the enemies in the top left because that is where the prisoners will escape to. Also, make sure to wipe out the enemies near the cells before opening them to clear a nice path for the prisoners. After you let all of the prisoners escape at the top left, you can proceed to finish off the enemies and have Micaiah seize the square the boss is on to win. Suggestions: This chapter is pretty straightforward, just slowly make your way through the map, while freeing prisoners and recruiting Tormod's group. Watch out for the couple reinforcements that appear at the bottom and try to attack you from behind. Note that the boss and the two archers by him will not move. The boss is pretty powerful and the square he is on will heal 3 health each turn. A good weapon to take him out might be the hammer you should have. Also, if you want to try and squeeze some extra experience out of the boss you could stand units by him that you know won't kill him and that won't die themselves. You can let the boss attack you so you gain experience. Then he can heal himself with vulneraries to have this continue for a while. It's kind of a cheesy way to get some extra experience but use it if you want to. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\| |////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////| ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 8. Units: Rafiel, a level 12 Heron and Nailah, a level 33 Wolf will join you at the beginning of the chapter and they must be used this chapter. Note that for any chapter you have a character such as Rafiel who can make another character move again and there's no turn limit, you could potentially take as many turns as you want just having one character move and then use vigor to let them move again. Thus, the user of vigor can get as much cheap experience as you want at the cost of your turn amount. Overview: First off, the mud throughout this map will seriously hinder your movement. You'll want to try and move as fast as possible to protect all of the prisoners. What makes things especially difficult is the Dracoknight that appears because its movement is not hindered. Once you've gotten rid of the enemies that try to take out the prisoners, you can move in to get rid of the boss and the enemies around him. Suggestions: You can leave the left side to the wolves and the bottom to Tormod's group if you want. Your main group will want to fend off the enemies at the top but also try and move quickly to the right. The boss won't move but the enemies around him will when you get in range. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\| |////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////| ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 9. Overview: It looks like you only have Micaiah but once you start the chapter, the Black Knight will appear in front of you to help you. Also, the map will change to fog of war and more enemies will come in to hide in the fog. All you have to do is make your way to the boss and kill him to win. Just be a little cautious because enemies will come at you from all sides. Suggestions: This is a good chapter to finish leveling Micaiah up to level 20. Just use the Black Knight as a shield and let Micaiah get the kills. If you get Micaiah up to level 20 then you can pretty much just let the Black Knight handle everything. You may want to try and stay in a corner and let the enemies come to you. Then move counter-clockwise to pick up the items. After that just finish off the boss. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\| |////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////| ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- E1. Overview: You now have two very powerful units that you can use, Nailah and the Black Knight. However, you should want to level up the rest of your party so try and use these two only when necessary. Your goal is to get to the top and seize the square Jarod is on. You'll want to split into two groups in order to move up quickly and efficiently. Also, you'll need to move fast to take out the thieves that come in so that they don't get all the items from the chests. Kill the boss and have Micaiah seize the space to beat the first part of this game! Suggestions: You should definitely split up since most of the stairways can only be traversed single file. Just try to move up quickly and make use of weapon advantages. Rafiel can also come in very handy since he can allow units to move again and he can heal a little health each turn for whoever is standing next to him. Jarod and the couple enemies around him don't move so they should be easy enough to handle. Since Jarod can heal, you could try to get some extra experience like in chapter 7. Most of the chest items are pretty good so don't forget to get them all. As for the reinforcements that appear at the very bottom, you could let them come up to you so that you can easily handle them as they try to get up the ledges/stairs. Note: At the end of this chapter, Micaiah will change classes automatically. Elincia, a level 1 Queen, will be the main character for this part but don't use her too much yet since she is already fully promoted. Marcia, a level 5 Falconknight, Nealuchi, a level 22 Raven, and Leanne, a level 5 Heron, will also be a part of your group at the start of this chapter. Haar, a level 11 Dragonmaster, will join your group if you have Marcia talk to him. He appears at the top left at the end of turn 1. Overview: Your goal is to survive and protect Leanne for 8 turns. The map is very straightforward, just kill all the enemies or last turn limit and this chapter is done. Suggestions: You'll want to quickly take out the enemy that's right about Nealuchi then have Leanne move towards the top left corner to keep her safe. You should also make use of her ability to let units move again. Don't move Marcia too far away from the top left area until you recruit Haar. Then send your units downward to take on the enemies. All the enemies, including the boss, will attack when you're in range so be careful. Haar will probably be your best bet for taking out the boss and getting his short axe. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\| |////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////| ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 11. Units: In this chapter you once again start off with new units. Brom, a level 2 Axe General, and Nephenee, a level 1 Halberdier will be your only units to start with. Heather, a level 7 Rogue, will appear at the bottom right at the end of turn 2 and can be recruited by having Brom or Nephenee talk to her. Overview: Your goal here is to defeat the boss but you'll want to go around getting the items and recruiting Heather first. Also, be careful of the bandits that come in because you don't want them to stop you from getting the house items. The boss will move once you attack him so be careful of who you keep in his range. Suggestions: Leave the enemies that are directly to your right alone at first so that you can get to Heather more quickly and you'll then have her to steal the coin off of the one enemy. You'll want to quickly off the two enemies above you and make your way down using the ledge directly below you. You don't really have to worry about the houses just yet, you just have to make sure you get back up there by turn 8. By moving quickly down you can recruit Heather as soon as she appears and then off the enemies around the bottom. Visit the houses and get back up to where you started. Once you've gotten everything it shouldn't be too hard to off the enemies at the right since none move until attacked. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\| |////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////| ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 12. Units: Lucia, a level 14 Swordmaster, Lethe, a level 21 Cat, and Mordecai, a level 16 Tiger will join your party at your base screen. Nealuchi and Leanne will rejoin your party at the start of the chapter. Overview: This is another fog of war map, so you'll have to be cautious while you move forward. You can use the lanterns scattered around the map to aid your vision. Leanne will die from basically anything and if she dies it is game over, so be very careful with her. The enemies lower down will move except for the one in the right corner. The top enemies, including the boss, will not move except for a couple that are a little lower down on the right. Be careful when you reach the cluster of enemies at the top right, one of the lower ones has a killer lance and another has a ranged attack. The boss has two armor enemies right in front of him. The boss has Elwind so be careful when attacking the knight directly in front of him. Defeat the boss to win. Suggestions: I would suggest first forming a wall with Nephenee and Brom to take on the lower enemies. Then you can move up and pick off the ones up top since they won't move. Since several reinforcements appear at the lower left corner, you'll want to be prepared to take them out when they show up. Once you get rid of the enemy at the right with the killer lance you should have no problem with rest. Just be careful of the boss since he has ranged magic and you first have to take out an enemy directly in front of him. Also, be sure to steal the secret book off of him before killing him. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\| |////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////| ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 13. Units: Another chapter with all new units to start off with. This time you get Geoffrey, a level 15 Lance Paladin, Kieran, a level 11 Axe Paladin, Astrid, a level 2 Bow Paladin, and Makalov, a level 7 Blade Paladin. Marcia will also be joining you again to start this chapter. Danved, a level 9 Halberdier, will join you if you read the conversation entitled "Calill's Shop" at your base. Overview: To start off you definitely want to take a look at the map, since it's pretty long. The first half is pretty straightforward though, so you can pretty much just march forward up until you get to the castle walls. Once there it gets a little more annoying since the catapults will be hitting you from a distance. Also, keep Marcia away from all the bow users up top since they can kill her pretty easily. If you want her to get a lot of experience then you can let her handle the lower left enemy reinforcements. The enemies up top won't move except for the reinforcements so they should be fairly easy to pick off. Have Geoffrey seize the square the boss is on to win. Suggestions: For the first half of this chapter you can just march along easily enough. You can let your friendly units help out some to make things run smoother. However, once you get inside the castle walls you should just have them target some area to be a catapult distraction and nothing more since you can take on the rest of the enemies easily and get more experience. You'll want to split into two groups to handle the left and right sides. Also, you should leave a couple units back to deal with the lower reinforcements and I feel that one of them should be Marcia since she'll have a rough time with the bow users. The boss is a Swordmaster with a sword that adds to his critical hit chance and he drops it when he dies. Thus, you don't want him to use it even once so hit him with ranged attacks to take him down. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\| |////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////| ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- E2. Units: Calill, a level 6 Fire Sage, will join you if you read the conversation entitled "Calill" at your base. Marcia will appear above the top left sandbag as soon as you start the chapter. Geoffrey, Kieran, Makalov, Astrid, Danved and a couple friendly units will appear at the top right at the end of turn 7. Overview: Another large map but this time your goal is to either simply defend for 15 turns or kill the boss. If you're just going to defend then just block off the sides and chip away slowly at the enemies. If you want to go for the boss, then move down both sides and meet up in the middle area. Once you've gotten rid of the enemies there you can send a couple units down the left path and the majority of your forces down the right path. Geoffrey's group will arrive after turn 7 ends and you can rush them down to help take on the main group of enemies around the boss. Be careful once you get around the middle area because some enemies have longbows and these can really hurt your flyers. The boss and the enemies around him will move when you get in range. Thus, it'll be tricky to get the dracoshield off of the one enemy left of the boss. You're going to want to lure the boss and the other enemies in and when you get Heather to steal the dracoshield, you'll want to finish off the boss on that turn. Suggestions: Make your way down both paths and gather in the middle area. You should let your friendly units help out since there are so many enemies. Calill has a meteor tome so you can have her stand up top and provide support for your other units. You can also let your friendly units distract the longbow users to help you out. A couple units such as Brom, Marcia and Nealuchi should be sufficient to handle the lower left so you can send the majority of your units in towards the boss. Carefully lure the boss and the enemies around him to you and steal the dracoshield if possible before finishing off the boss to end the second part. Are Roy and Marth in this game? NO. 2. What controllers can I use for this game? You can use the Wiimote, the classic controller or the Gamecube controller. 3. Is good? Possibly, and hopefully I'll add in a character section later on to discuss my opinions for characters. Stat increases are random, however, so it is hard to say that a particular character will always be good or bad. 4. Is it necessary to play Path of Radiance in order to understand this game? No, you can enjoy this game without having played its prequel. However, I thought Path of Radiance was fun and would suggest that you play it. 5. How does transferring data from Path of Radiance to this game work? If you have a Gamecube memory card inserted that has a Path of Radiance save file and this file contains an epilogue save, then you can use this when you start a new game. Some people have reported problems with this and I believe the problem is that it won't work if you have an easy mode Path of Radiance save. When I tried this I was able to use my Hard mode save only after I deleted off my easy mode save. This still may not work so if you are having problems I suggest you contact Nintendo. 6. Are all of the Path of Radiance characters in this game? Everyone from Path of Radiance will join your group except for Largo who will just make a very small appearance. Also, for some reason Devdan calls himself Danved now o_0. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\| |////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////| ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Legal [FELEG]: This FAQ/Walkthrough is copyright 2007 Ask_B_007.
