I hope this guide will be able to assist all of you gamers out there! If you see any errors, have a tip or an alternate strategy for a section of the guide please head to the contact section and flick me an email to let me know! If you like what you see here, be sure to check out more of my guides, reviews and podcasts at www.consoledomination.com and consider donating to my Paypal if you are feeling a little generous! Finally, I have also started a facebook group for readers to keep track of the latest updates to my guides, you can find it here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Sokkus/356910437737253 It took a lot of time and effort to get it done, so I hope you enjoy! =============================================================================== Donations =============================================================================== After a few generous emails and suggestions from readers and because donations seems to be a growing trend among other contemporary guide writers, I have decided to put in the option to allow you to donate some money to me for helping you out if you wish to do so. Although I make these guides for free in my spare time, I probably don’t need to point out to gamers that purchasing games is an extremely expensive hobby (games in Australia cost on average $90 - $120) and writing guides for them can be a very long, incredibly difficult and thankless task at the best of times, but one that is very challenging and occasionally rewarding. Considering you could be paying upwards of $20+ for guides in a game shop, these free and easily available guides make a cost-effective substitute. Whilst most are happy to use and move on without a word I would move that a simple donation is a great, easy way to say thanks if you feel that my guide has saved you some time, money and frustration in some small way. By no means feel obligated to donate just for viewing my guide, but if you are feeling a little generous I certainly won’t object! Any amount is appreciated whether it be 10 cents or $10. Thankyou for all that read this far, if you are interested in donating, my Paypal address is listed below, if not, skip down to the table of contents below and get stuck into the island adventures that await in Far Cry 3! I refer to them by the names below, so be sure to read up to avoid confusion! There are several types of enemies that you will encounter in Farcry 3 and by looking through Jason's camera, you will be able to tag them so that you can track their movements. The different tags symbolise different enemy types, which is important as each enemy variety behaves in slightly different ways. Heres the basic rundown of the different enemies you are likely to encounter during your time on the island: ------------------ Regular: ------------------ Camera tagging symbol: Skull Regulars are pretty much your standard fodder enemy. You will see these more than any other type of enemy. They are usually armed with SMG or Assault Rifles and will run to cover when you are detected. They also toss the occasional grenade. In general regulars do not have much armor and as such only take a few bullets to kill, with head shots downing them instantly. On the north island, these guys are the stock standard pirates with the red shirts, on the south island they are the privateers, sporting a bit of body armor in a black and yellow color. Note the privateers take a few more body shots to kill than the pirates do however their behaviour is essentially the same. ------------------ Charger: ------------------ Camera tagging symbol: Lightning bolt Chargers are annoying. And crazy. And occasionally drunk. As with the regulars, chargers have very little armor so do not take too many bullets to take out. The problem is that as soon as you alert any enemies, if there is one in the area they will usually disregard cover and run directly at you to attack and in many instances, there are more than one. As with the regulars a single head shot will finish them off. Weapon-wise, chargers are usually armed with machetes, shotguns and molotov cocktails. They are not shy about throwing the molotovs, even in close and are not afraid to continue getting up close and personal to attack you, even whilst being on fire. ------------------ Sniper/RPG: ------------------ Camera tagging symbol: Crosshair Snipers are usually armed with a sniper rifle, and often a secondary weapons usch as an SMG to attack you if you get too close, the RPG guys are the same. These guys usually hang out in guard towers or on therooves and balconies of buildings. The laser from the sniper's rifle will be visible to you, so you should always be able to tell where the sniper is looking. Unfortunately, the RPG guys do not have a laser attachment. Once they are alert that you are about, they will fire at you from a distance with a great degree of accuracy, the sniper shots are instantaneous, but the RPG rockets, whilst damaging can be seen coming and move fairly slowly which gives you a chance to change position if necessary. As with the regulars and the chargers, snipers and RPG soldiers do not have all that much armor, although like the regulars the privateer versions on the southern island do take a few more body shots to kill. ------------------ Heavy: ------------------ Camera tagging symbol: Shield The heavies are the juggernaughts of the Farcry 3 experience. They are heavily armored and can absorb a lot of bullets before going down. Their helmets mean that multiple headshots are required to eliminate them (although if you can sneak up on them and shoot them in the back of the head where they are unarmored, you can still one shot them). Heavies carry a large machine gun or a flamethrower and due to their durability they have no qualms in leisurely strolling over to your location and unleashing their weapon of choice on you. Their one weakness? Explosions. Try to save your contingent of mines and C4 to try and take these guys out as quickly as possible. ------------------ Predator Animals: ------------------ Camera tagging symbol: Fangs Wilst roaming around the island, you will undoubtedly come across predator animals in the wilderness. These include: dogs, dingoes, wild boars, komodo dragons, cassowaries, leopards, tigers, bears, crocodiles and sharks. Some of the animals such as dogs, dingoes and cassowaries travel in packs and these are usually somewhat weaker than the solitary hunters such as bears and tigers. Until you start to get a few better weapons (and if you are not hunting them for their pelts) it is best to sprint away from them. They will usually lose interest in you fairly quickly. Addiitionally, when attacking enemy positions, you will occassionally see some of these aggressive animals in cages. Shooting the cages will free the animals and they will track down and kill any enemy soldiers they can. Very useful when trying to get into enemy controlled areas undetected! =============================================================================== =============================================================================== =============================================================================== ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ******************************** *********************************** *** GENERAL CAMPAIGN HINTS & TIPS *** [HNTTP] *********************************** ******************************** Before beginning the campaign, here are a few tips and tricks that may help first-time Far Cry fans adjust to the game and get through a few sticky situations with ease. > Always use your camera to tag enemies before starting a mission or assaulting an outpost. Being able to track your opposition is a major advantage. > Learn to use rocks! Throwing rocks to distract guards can save you a LOT of time, effort and grief. > When spending skills, focus on unlocking additional health and takedown moves such as: Chained Takedown, Takedown Drag and Knife Throw Takedown before focusing on other abilities. > When an enemy spots you, you will see a white semicircular indicator on screen, if this fills all the way up, the enemy has spotted you and will attack along with any nearby hostiles. If you see it show up, quickly duck back behind cover or into the grass to let it disappear. > Disabling all of the scramblers on the radio towers will give you access to free weapons from the shops. As such, try and disable as many as you can as fast as you can to build your arsenal early. > Caged animals near enemy forces are your best weapon for causing mass distraction. Additionally, some of the tougher predators such as leopards and tigers can take out an entire group of enemy soldiers quite efficiently. > wild predators such as bears and tigers can kill you very quickly and usually have a large amount of health. If you are not trying to hunt them, your best bet is to run away. After a few moments they usually lose interest. > Begin hunting as soon as you can to create items allowing for bigger storage space and wallet room. If you don't, you will find that you can't go long without filling them up! > Experiment with different syringes that you can craft, there are some very useful ones for very specific purposes that can really give you an advantage if used correctly. > Liberating enemy outposts will give you a new fast-travel point, so if you are not the kind of person who likes trudging everywhere, it is probably best to liberate a few of these to help you move around the islands a little quicker. > Learn to use the map! The map has the co-ordinates listed at the top of the screen and I will be referring to these quite frequently to point out locations. Using the map to create custom waypoints at the co-ordinates I specify is also a great way to track down the games many collectibles and find entrances to caves described in the guide. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Got a hint or tip? Send me an email and let me know, if I like it I will include it in the guide and credit you for your contribution. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now that you have some idea as to the enemies that you are going to be facing and have some general hints and tips under your belt, its time to get stuck into the walkthrough! =============================================================================== =============================================================================== =============================================================================== ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ******************* *********************** *** WALKTHROUGH *** [WLKTH] *********************** ******************* Welcome to my walkthrough for Ubisoft's latest entry in the Far Cry series - Far Cry 3. This guide will help you play through this massive game from start to finish, helping you to complete all of those campaign missions. Note that I have written the walkthrough from a majority stealth perspective this is because whilst you can approach just about every situation the game throws at you with guns blazing, it is not easy and on the harder difficulties you will not survive. So keep that in mind as you go through and don't let me limit you to stealth only! Additionally, due to the open nature of the game there are multiple ways to approach each situation. I have provided a walkthrough for the solutions I found to work best for each mission. If you find a better way to approach a specific mission or area, send me an email and let me know! To fast travel to a chapter, go to the table of contents above and copy the code next to the section of interest. Press CTRL +F and paste the code in there to jump down to where you want to go in a flash. Below the main guide you'll find walkthroughs for all of the game's optional content including the story side missions, Wanted Dead quests, Supply Drops, Outpost liberations, Trials of the Rakyat and Hunting missions. Here you will also find a complete locations guide for all of the games hidden Memory Cards, Relics and Letters of the Lost. This guide took a lot of time and effort to get it done, so I hope you enjoy! Lets get on with it. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Chapter 1: Life on Rook Island =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Make a Break For It [ACT01] =============================================================================== After the short scene to introduce you to the island and bad guy, you will find yourself outside the cage with Grant leading the way. This first part of the game acts as a short tutorial to show you the ropes and should not be too taxing as Grant will walk you through everything. Good stuff! From the cage, follow Grant down the short dirt path next to the building in front. Crouch when he tells you to and continue to follow. As you make your way through the building, crouch behind the low wall to avoid being detected by the guards. Continue until you reach a small passage beneath a wooden structure. Work your way through to the other side and follow grant into the house on the left. Grab your gear from the table when prompted and then head outside. Take cover behind the well here and when asked to do so, toss a rock over the other side of the area to distract the guard. When he has left his post, follow Grant over to the wall to enter the window. After the short scene, exit the door and climb up the stack of wood opposite to get into the next building. Duck out the door to the right and enter the row of plants nearby to hide. Again, throw a rock where directed to get rid of the guard and follow grant through the opening. Follow Grant though the next structure and down in the trench to crawl beneath the platforms and out of the camp. During the next scene, press the button prompt. Afterwards, we need to sprint along the set path towards the yellow objective marker. After hopping the log at the end and sliding down to a lower area, you’ll have to run again! So keep on going along the path, making jumps where necessary and crossing the fallen tree trunk (note that if you fall down the gap here, there is a second tree trunk that will allow you to climb back up). Climb the vines on the cliff at the end of the path. Continue forward and crouch to enter the passage below the rocks in the path. During the scene upon exiting the other end, hit the buttons that appear on screen. Once the scene is done, continue to sprint along the path and make your way across the rope bridge for a scene. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- >>Note: After a short time, you will earn the achievement/trophy “First Blood”. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Down In Amanaki Town [ACT02] =============================================================================== After the intro you will find yourself in a bed and a short scene will play to introduce your new buddy Dennis and your current surrounds - Amanaki Town. Once you regain control, head into the nearby shop and buy the 1911 handgun from the vendor. Return outside and follow Dennis. As you work your way out of town, Dennis will give you a brief rundown on the radio towers you will find scattered across the game world. Disabling radio towers has a couple of functions, firstly you will be able to receive weapons for free from the in-game shops, additionally disabling them acts kind of like the viewpoints in Assassin’s Creed games in that they will reveal the surrounding area on your map. Handy! Once Dennis stops walking, it’s time to go. Cruise across the street and follow the dirt path up to the objective marker above. As you arrive at the radio tower, work your way around the fence and head for the stairs. Watch out for wildlife! At this point a couple of times I encountered a snake. So kill it before proceeding up the stairs. Climb to the very top of the tower and interact with the yellow box here. After the short scene, use the nearby zip line to get back down to ground level quickly and return to Dennis for a scene. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Harvest the Jungle [ACT03] =============================================================================== During the scene, Dennis will now give you a quick primer on how to use the in-game map, hunting and making medicines. When prompted, select the hunting ground on the map. This will create a custom waypoint marker in the real world for you to follow to reach the area. Put the map away and make your way over to the hunting ground. At this point, you are pretty much given free rein to wander about. You will need to find and collect 1x Red leaf, 2 x Green leaf, 1 x Blue leaf and 2 x boar skins to progress. They can be found in the following general locations: > Blue Leaf - In the river underwater. > Green Leaf - Scattered around the area. > Red Leaf - Along the river bank and hillside. > Boar skin - Kill the boars and interact with them to harvest their skins. Once you have gathered the required items, the game will prompt you to fast travel back to Amanaki Village. Do so and then work your way over to the objective marker for a scene. At this point, follow the on-screen instructions to learn how to craft healing syringes, and additional leather goods to expand your inventory. You will also be directed to the skills menu in which you can select and purchase additional moves and abilities as you unlock skill points by performing in-game actions. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Secure the Outpost [ACT04] =============================================================================== After the tutorial hop into the car with your new buddy Dennis. He will give you a bit of a spiel about the outposts in the game. If you look at the map you will see outposts listed on it and around them is a red haze. This indicates enemy activity and as such you are more likely to run into trouble in red areas. Outposts are essentially, small enemy held positions that you can attack and clear of hostiles in order to unlock fast travel points on the map. Once the car stops, head over to the yellow mission area marked on the mini-map to find the outpost. Stay in a crouched position and continue through the grass to approach silently and undetected. When you reach the camp, pull out your camera and tag all of the enemies in the camp by hovering the camera’s centre reticule over them for a second. Doing this will allow you to track enemy movements, which is extremely useful for stealth minded folk when it comes time to attack. It should be noted that there are 34 outposts on the islands and they can be identified by the plumes of smoke and red flags. Each outpost is slightly different, has different enemy make ups and will allow you to approach it in a variety of ways. Liberating an outpost will give you a chunk of XP (500XP) and you will get additional bonus XP for clearing it without setting off an alarm (550XP) or doing it undetected (1500XP). Freeing outposts will also unlock side-missions from the bulletin boards at each outpost. Fortunately this initial outpost does not have an alarm to worry about! At this outpost I counted five regular enemies and a dog. This particular outpost for gives you the options of running straight in to start attacking the enemies (although it will likely get you killed on higher difficulties). Alternatively you can approach in the grass from the west or south and head through a small hole in the fence in either location if you feel like being sneaky with takedowns. You could also sneak around to the far end of the camp and fire a shot from cover so that your re-enforcements will run in to attack so you can flank the bad guys. Either way you decide to go about it, once the outpost is clear a short scene will play. Afterwards enter the red door on the main building for another story sequence. Note the glowing laptop on the table – this is has a memory card on it – one of the collectibles that appear in Far Cry 3. Once the scene is over, head back inside to pick it up. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Mushrooms in the Deep [ACT05] =============================================================================== Now if you look at your map you’ll see our objective marker is a fair distance and as such we’ll need to make our way over to the Western side of the map. You can trek on over there which gives you a good opportunity to activate some additional towers to uncover the map and free an outpost or two if you are keen to do so. When you reach the objective marker you will be at a large house on a cliff, we need to head into the small greenhouse nearby for a story scene. Once the scene is over, enter the house to your right and head upstairs for another story sequence. Afterwards, return outside and work your way down the cliffs here to the objective marker. There is a zip line near the house that will get you down very quickly. Unfortunately the cave we are after is under water. When I was playing, a shark was swimming around nearby, so if you have a similar situation, either kill it from the safety of the shore or wait for it to swim away before jumping into the water and diving under and into the cave. Note that the sprint button will allow you to swim faster as well. Once you reach the end of the tunnel, surface and climb out of the water. Climb the vine wall to the raised ledge above and dive down into the water below. Swim over to the objective marker and use the vine wall here to climb up to the next area. Follow the passage around and jump over to the vine wall to climb up to the next platform. Follow it back out to the open area and find the vines nearby to climb up to another level. After arriving here, things will get a little bit trippy. Follow the objective marker until you reach the vines. Climb them and then continue. After a brief sequence, continue forward along the dirt path and enter the doorway at the end. Exit through the door on the left and walk forward to the end of the rocky outcrop. After a short scene, walk forward and grab the mushrooms off the rock in front. Next follow the passage to the right to exit the cave. Fast travel back to Dr Earnhardt’s house and give him the mushroom. Head into the house, and back upstairs for another cut-scene to finish up the mission. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: For completing this mission, you will earn the achievement/trophy ‘Magic Mushrooms’. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Chapter 2: Down the Rabbit Hole =============================================================================== =============================================================================== The Medusa's Call [ACT06] =============================================================================== For this mission, we need to head over to the objective marker on the map where we will find a washed up ship called the Medusa. The first part of this mission tasks us with identifying the important pirate leaders that are mingled in with the other pirates guarding the wreck. To do this, you’ll need to pull out your camera and scan the bad guys. Whilst your regular goons will the orange markers over their heads, the special targets will receive a bright yellow star to differentiate them. If you approach from the south, you’ll have a nice vantage point over the wreck and you should be able to identify a number of targets on both sides to the east and west of the ship. There are two regular pirates (one in the open, one beneath the hull of the ship) and a radio operator to the west of the Medusa. There are three regular pirates and two radio operators to the east. Be sure to tag as many as possible to track their movements and when it comes time to attack, I recommend approaching from the south west. Note that you will need to collect the three pieces of intelligence from the radio controllers without getting detected otherwise you will fail the mission. You should be able to sneak up and take down the first pirate in the open west of the ship without anyone noticing. Afterwards get into the grass on the hill just to the southwest of the medusa. From here you can see the radio operator and another pirate welding at the base of the ship. Wait for the radio operator to walk towards you and drop down to take him out. Loot his body. Walk over to the ship using the crates as cover and use a rock to distract the welding guard before taking him out. Make your way through the hole in the Medusa’s hull and follow the path here until you reach the hole to the east. Here you will be able to see the second radio operator (who patrols between the some crates nearby and another, smaller wreck just to the east) and another patrolling guard who patrols from east to west along the beach. Wait for the radio operator to go over to the smaller wreck and then follow the other guard along the beach so that you can take him down out of sight. Return and kill the radio operator in the small wreckage – loot the body. Proceed north up the stairs in the smaller wreckage here to get up on deck. From here walk to the north end of the deck and look down to find the final radio operator and another pirate; tag them if you haven’t already. Drop down the hole here and wait for the radio operator to patrol away from his friend and then use rocks to lure him over to your location. Take him down when he arrives. Once you have looted the three radio operators, you’ll now need to head over to the Medusa’s control room. If you killed all of the pirates, you can climb up the wooden makeshift ramp from the south east to the deck of the Medusa. Alternatively, if you still have a few enemies running around, you can climb up to the top of the smaller wreckage we killed the two eastern radio operators in and use a zip line to access the Medusa’s deck. Once here, make your way up to the door marked by the objective marker. Interact with the radio in here. Great, re-enforcements! Grab some med supplies and some ammo from the far side of the room before heading back outside. Around 10 – 12 enemies, as well as any enemies you left outside earlier will now be approaching the Medusa from the east. From the deck try to shoot as many as possible before they get too close and be sure to keep an eye out on deck for any enemies that you miss. Once you have killed all of the pirates you will receive a call from Dennis to signify completion of the mission. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Playing the Spoiler [ACT07] =============================================================================== Return to Amanaki Village and speak with Dennis. You will need to head out and attack another enemy base set up. Work your way over towards the objective marker and you’ll find that the base sits on a river bank. As such, I found it best to ignore the objective marker for a few minutes and to approach the base from the opposite side of the river to the west. There is a dirt path here leading up to the mountain behind which will give you a perfect vantage point overlooking the base to tag all of those pesky pirates. From this vantage point, you can tag the enemies in the following locations. Note that they are all regular pirates: ___________________ [ Enemy Locations: \_______________________________________________________ |___________________________________________________________________________| [ ] | 1. As long as you do not let the pirates activate the alarm, you can take them down however you like. If the alarm is sounded however, the mission woill fail. Personally, I preferred the stealth option. To do this, once everything is marked, head over the river and approach the objective marker. It will ask you to tag the enemies, but we’ve already accomplished that! We’ll now have to enter the base and disable the alarm. To begin, we’ll want to kill the guard patrolling on the street in front. Once he is out of the way, use rocks to lure the other, closer enemies (the one close to the gate near the water and the one to the north of the main building) out of the gate so that you can take them down as well. Once those guys are out of commission, enter the gate closest to the river, swim over to the dock and take out the enemy here. Proceed up the dock into the base and ensure that you avoid being detected by using the boxes as cover. Wait for the guy who patrols around the centre building to walk away and then sneak up and take down the guy chilling out in the boxes just to the south of the main building. From here, you should have easy access to the alarm. Disable it and then if you want to track down and kill any remaining enemies (although this is not necessary). Once the alarm has been cut, head for the objective marker, open the door and plant the explosives inside. Once they are set, the guards outside will be aware of your presence. As a time limit pops up, I would encourage you to ignore the bad guys and make a run for the river and hop in and swim to the opposite side to complete the mission. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Prison Break-In [ACT08] =============================================================================== Now that we have a new location to attack, it’s time to head for the objective marker on the map. This is Sunset Cove and it is now the home to a pirate base. The cove is a semi-circular stretch of beach and our goal is a small cave leading into the cliff in the centre of the cove. Your best approach is from the South, where you can find a pair of sniper inhabited structures overlooking the cove and a dirt path leading down to the beach. From here, head up into the sniper tower (the westernmost of the two structures) and kill the sniper. You have a nice view overlooking the entire cove, allowing you to tag all of the enemies before proceeding. We first need to scan all the guards to locate the captain who is carrying a key, remember that by scanning, special targets will be marked with a yellow star. There are ten pirates and a camp operator currently residing in the cove. They can be tagged patrolling around in the following areas: ___________________ [ Enemy Locations: \_______________________________________________________ |___________________________________________________________________________| [ ] | 1.Regular - Patrolling up and down the dirt path near your vantage point.| | | | 2.Operator- The camp operator is hanging out by the open structure | | covered by red tarpaulins in the centre of the cove. It is at| | the base of the dirt road leading down from the cliffs at the| | north of the cove. | | | | 3.Regular - Hanging out on the beach in front of the camp operator’s | | position. | | | | 4.Regular - Patrolling around near the shipping containers by the | | buildings and red tarpaulins in the centre of the cove. | | | | 5.Regular - Further along the beach to the east of the dirt path leading | | down from the cliffs to the north. On the northern side of | | the cove. | | | | 6.Regular - Further along the beach to the east of the dirt path leading | | down from the cliffs to the north. On the northern side of | | the cove. Close to 5. | | | | 7.Regular - In amongst the buildings on the southern side of the cove. | | | | 8.Regular - Along the beach to the east on the southern end of the cove. | | | | 9.Regular - Along the beach to the east on the southern end of the cove. | | He is slightly further out from enemy 8. | | | | 10.Sniper - In a sniper tower on the southern side of the cove. | | | | 11.Sniper - In a sniper nest on the southern side of the cove (we killed | | him just before!). | [___________________________________________________________________________] Note that there are two alarms in this area, but as usual you only need to disable one to knock out both. For the easiest way to disable this camp’s alarm, look in the tower next to you for the alarm panel and interact with the box. Exit the tower and you should be able to spot a couple of rocky ledges below. Drop down to the first one and wait for the guy patrolling around the buildings to walk away. Drop down into the bushes and head to the right. Wait for the guard patrolling near the shipping containers to walk away and then use a rock to lure him out of sight for a take down. Next use a rock to lure the guard on the beach below the operator to your position to take him down as well. Now check out the operator’s platform, you should be able to see an ammo crate making a makeshift ramp up to the platform from the south. Sneak up this and kill him. Loot his corpse for the key… And that is all that you need to kill! You can go and clear out the rest of the cove if you really want to, but that is not necessary. Once those guys have been dealt with, the sneaky part is over so head into the cave. Kill the first enemy here and then the two hiding behind crates around the corner. Enter the door and then kill the three baddies in the room below. Drop down and kill one more enemy that runs in from the tunnel at the far end of the room. Enter the tunnel and kill two more enemies before entering the door on the left hand side. As soon as you enter, you will be able to pick up a relic from the floor to the left. There are 120 of these hidden throughout the game and picking them up will give you an experience boost. Continue through the cave and enter the room behind the caged tiger at the far end of the area for a scene to complete the mission. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Island Port Hotel [ACT09] =============================================================================== Once you regain control of Jason, run up the stairs in front. Turn right at the top and follow the platform. A water valve will burst, putting out the fire below. Continue around the corner and then shoot the valve on the next pipe to the left. Enter the door that blows out and climb the ladder to the next floor. Use the wooden platforms here to cross the room and use melee to break down the door at the end. Enter and turn right. Follow the on-screen button prompt until you exit into the next room. Climb the fallen beam in the centre of the room until a scene plays. Enter the hallway in front and shoot the valve on the ceiling to the right. Continue through the next door and use the button prompts to cross the room. Walk across the beam here and climb the wooden pallets on the right of the area. Jump up to the next platform above. Enter the door on the left for a story sequence. Mash the button that appears on-screen during the scene to continue. You’ll now be in the back of a jeep flying along the dirt roads. Note that you will also have in your possession a grenade launcher. As you drive along, a number of enemy vehicles will chase you and you need to use the grenade launcher to take them out. After a while, the vehicle will stop and you will get in front. Use the pistol to kill any infantry that get in your way. After another brief drive the mission will be complete. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: For completing this mission, you will earn the achievement/trophy ‘Worst Date Ever’. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Chapter 3: The Man in White =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Keeping Busy [ACT10] =============================================================================== When you regain control, you will find yourself at Dr Earnhardt’s mansion. Head over to the nearby gazebo and drop down to the dirt path below. Enter the cave here for a story scene. Enter the water and swim over to the objective marker. Find the sunken ship wreck in the water and dive down just to the left of it to find a shining object in the water. Pick it up. Return to Daisy. Following the scene, go over and chat with Liza to complete the mission. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Meet Citra [ACT11] =============================================================================== Upon exiting the cave, you will receive a phone call from Dennis. After the following conversation a new waypoint will appear on your map. Walk over to the new point of interest to find an old style jungle-themed stone temple. As you approach the objective marker a scene will play. Follow Dennis up the stairs until you reach the next objective marker for a conversation. After the scene, you will be in a hallucinatory state. When you are able to move again, follow the man in the white suit. Enter the building and follow the bridge to the far side. Climb the stairs and interact with the knife on the pedestal for a scene. Once you have finished, exit the temple to complete the mission. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: For completing this mission, you will earn the achievement/trophy ‘One of Us’. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Bad Side of Town [ACT12] =============================================================================== Once outside the temple, open the map and use fast travel to reach Bad Town. Make your way over to the door marked with the objective marker and head inside. Sit down in the glowing chair to play poker with the guys around the table. Once the game is over, exit the bar and follow the man in white. He will walk fairly slowly and stop frequently to have a look around. You need to stay out of his line of sight or you will fail the mission, so use the low walls, buildings and other obstacles as cover as you trail him. Follow him across town and watch which building he enters. This should complete the mission. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Kick the Hornet's Nest [ACT13] =============================================================================== Enter the building that the man in white went into. After the conversation, head through the secret passage and down the stairs for a scene. Afterwards, grab the flame thrower from the table and head back outside. Drive over to the objective marker and approach it on foot. Our goal in this area is to burn all of the drug crops in the region. This first area features two drug crops guarded by a pair of guards and a pair of dogs. You can either sneak up and kill them or just torch the place and kill them as you please. Turn your flame thrower on the crops, it only takes a couple of sprays and the fire will spread by itself. When the crops are burning, avoid going near the plastic tarps on either side of the field. Beneath these are explosive barrels which WILL detonate. After the two fields have burnt out, you’ll receive a checkpoint and the objective marker will shift. We now have to follow the road out of the burnt fields to the north and around the corner to the right. Climb up the hill to the right of the road and you should have a nice view over some new crops below. Now we can drop down, kill the enemies and burn the fields with the flamethrower here, or alternatively if you have a second weapon, you can shoot the explosive barrels placed near some of the fields to start a fire that will spread to consume the entire crop. The latter option is much easier as it allows you to burn the crops without approaching enemies and you can do the majority without being detected at all if you are careful. From the hilltop, you can shoot the yellow barrels beneath the red tarp below you to destroy the closest crop. Leave the furthest field to the north alone for now (unfortunately when I tried, blowing up the barrels did not work for this one). Continue along the ridge to the south and look across at the field across from the one we just set alight, you can see a dirt path going up a hill behind this and on that path is a yellow barrel you can shoot to set the second patch ablaze. Look down to the open area to the right (further south) to see an additional two fields. Both of these have explosive barrels nearby that can be detonated to destroy the crops. Once all of the explosives have been blown up, unless you were lucky, there are probably one or two fields that have not been destroyed. You’ll probably also have a few pissed of pirates running around. Try and tag all of the enemy forces from the vantage point and then use the grass to sneak up to each of the remaining fields and spray it with flames for a couple of seconds before running off. You can kill the pirates if you like, but you can also just sprint away and lose their attention. Once all of the fields have been burned, you will receive a new objective to reach the fishing village nearby. Luckily all the enemies are now out looking for you in the burnt out fields so if you give them a wide berth, and get as far as you can away from the fields you can approach the village from along the coastline easily and undetected. Once you arrive, you will need to destroy the boat moored to the large pontoon in the centre of the village. Swim over to the pontoon, climb up and kill the enemy guarding the boat and the boat will take off. Pick up an RPG from the end of the dock and hit the boat with the RPG to complete the mission. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Chapter 4: A New Enemy =============================================================================== =============================================================================== A Man Named Hoyt [ACT14] =============================================================================== When you are ready, fast travel back to Badtown and head back to Willis’s bunker for a chat. Afterwards, return outside and make your way to the objective marker to the north. Willis wants you to get down to a shack near the shore without being detected. For an easy way down, you can find a zip line (at X726.4, Y796) on top of a hill overlooking the town to the south. Enter the shack for a scene. Once the scene has finished, exit the building and run down the hill. Sneak up on the two pirates shooting into the rice field and kill them both. You will now have to enter the minefield. To get across safely, you should listen out for the sound that the mines make (a repetitive pinging noise which will get louder as you get closer) and take it slowly so that once you hear them; you should be able to see them as well. From where the two soldiers were, run straight forward until you reach the blue barrels. Go around the left side of the barrels and head directly for the next set of barrels that you should be able to make out further to the left. When you arrive here, again go around the left hand side and then walk in a straight line towards the man with the objective marker above his head. Interact with him for a scene. You now have the added burden of keeping your new pal Rongo alive. As the story scene ends, a group of pirates will appear on the end of the rice field closest to the village and come at you. Defend yourself and follow Rongo as he works his way towards the village, he knows where the mines are so follow him to get through safely. Take cover where he does and help him eliminate the enemies on the land ahead and continue to follow him through the village and up the hill, stopping and killing where necessary until you reach his house. Once you arrive, he will need to look for the documents you require and as he does this more pirates will show up to attack. You need to defend the house for a few minutes until Rongo has found what he is looking for. To do this, grab some ammo off the table (there are also mines on the far side of the room) and exit the door. If you wish, you can run down to the road and plant mines to the west and north, but from this veranda area, there is plenty of cover and a bit of a height advantage so you should be able to fend off all of the attacks without too much trouble. Four waves will occur in roughly the following order: ___________________ [ Wave Formations: \_______________________________________________________ |___________________________________________________________________________| | | | 1. Two enemies will approach from the hill to the west. | | | | 2. Four enemies will run into the area, coming around either side of the | | house to the north. | | | | 3. Two enemies will attack from from the house to the north and an | | aditional two will approach from the east. | | | | 4. A pair of pirates will climb the the hill to the south, two more will | | emerge from or around the house to the north. | [___________________________________________________________________________] Killing all of these enemies will allow the story to progress again. Once Rongo has found the documents (conveniently once you cap the last bad guy), head back into the house and walk up to him. A scene will ensue and the level will be complete. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Saving Oliver [ACT15] =============================================================================== Fast travel to a liberated outpost close to the objective marker and grab a vehicle to drive on out there. I would highly recommend that, if you haven’t already, activate the radio tower in this region to reveal the map. This will make the next part a lot easier if you know where to go! Once you reach the objective marker, you will be given a time limit. You need to get into the vehicle and drive to the new marker before time runs out. If you don’t have the map, from where the vehicle is facing drive straight along the road until you reach a fork. Take the right hand road. Continue to follow this straight, ignoring the fork to the right, and eventually you will end up on a main road. Turn right here and follow it all the way to the marker. Get out of the car when you reach your objective and kill the two enemies here. Proceed to the rocky ledge marked with the objective circle for a scene. With the camera out, mark all of the enemies in the jeeps as they approach the base. You’ll notice that our buddy over on the far side of the river has a blue marker above his head and if you hadn’t guessed already, we need to use the sniper rifle to help him to escape. Once Jason pulls out the sniper rifle, shoot the guy pushing your mate towards the helicopter. Next focus on eliminating the rest of the pirates (good thing we marked them hey!). After the original bad guys are down, our friend will run to the left. Each time he does, more enemies will appear at the back of the area to attack him. They will come mainly from the large building on the left hand side of the upper level of the dock and from an open door on the right at ground level. Keep scanning back and forward and ensure you kill them all to allow the hostage to progress. Once your friend has stolen the boat, leap down into the water and climb on board. Jason will hop on the gun. Now all you need to do is keep an eye on the screen and shoot everything that threatens you. Destroy barrels where you can to destroy emplacements on the shore and be sure to focus on the vehicles when they appear. Once the helicopter shows up, destroy any other boats in the region before focusing your fire on the flying hostile. Once the helicopter is down and there are no other enemies in the vicinity, the mission will be complete. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: For completing this mission, you will earn the achievement/trophy ‘Hands off my Stoner!’. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Chapter 5: That Which Was Lost =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Piece of the Past [ACT16] =============================================================================== After the reunion, exit the cave. You will receive a phone call informing you as to where you need to go. Fast travel to Badtown and make your way over to the bar. Enter and go and chat with the man marked with the objective marker for a scene. Once you are done here, it’s time to go and find what Buck wants. Head for the coast and jump into the water. Swim (or take a boat if you can find one) all the way out to the ship to the west that is being highlighted with an objective marker. Now, I was unable to find a stealthy way into the cabin as no matter what I did either Jason or a body was spotted due to the large number of enemies on the deck. Climb up the ladder on the east side of the ship. Turn left and climb the stairs. Take down the sniper at the top. Silently take down the remaining two enemies on the upper area. At the back of the deck, shoot the three guys here. By this time, you will have been detected either from the gunshots or from someone seeing a body. Drop down to the back of the ship and head to the eastern side. The enemies will have to run in a straight line at you here over a lot of open ground, making them easy targets. Kill them all as they come and when no more make themselves known, make your way to the back of the ship. Here you are liable to encounter your first heavy. These guys are well armoured and have a very deadly machine gun. Additionally they wear helmets so that a single headshot will not kill them (unless you have a powerful sniper rifle, or if you can do it from behind). Just stay in cover and focus fire on his head until he drops. Continue around the front of the boat and enter the marked door. As soon as you enter, perform a takedown on the guard in front, and then enter the door to the left. In the next room, check out the door to the right to see a pirate in the corner. Stay here for a few moments and a second will come into view. Wait for the second to continue patrolling towards your location and when he is close, toss a rock into the corner of your current room to lure him up the stairs for another takedown. The other pirate in the next room will still have his back to you so take him down as well. Interact with the red box on the wall nearby to disable the alarms. Head down the stairs and go through the door. Crouch behind the shelf in front and wait for the guard nearby to move away. Sneak after him and perform a takedown on him. You will find a second enemy working in a corner to the right. Take him down as well before heading through the next door. There are three enemies in here. Eliminate them as you see fit and then interact with the door at the back of the room. Inside you will find another heavy pirate (although if you were too noisy in the last room he may come out to meet you). If you have some C4, grenades or some other explosive, toss one into the room and then retreat. Wait for the heavy to emerge from the door and take him out from cover. When he is dead, enter the room and inspect the laptop. A scene will play. When you regain control, you will be under water. Throughout this section, you will see glowing oxygen tanks in the water. Interacting with these will reset your breath, allowing you to continue without drowning. Form the start, swim forward and use the oxygen tank ahead. Enter the hallway behind and turn left. Find the door along the right hand wall and swim through. Surface. Head to the far side of the room and enter the door. Continue through the set passageway here and open the door at the end. Go through h the door and swim down the stairs. A short scene will occur, so mash the button prompts that appear on screen. Follow the objective marker into the next hallway and use the oxygen mask to the left as you enter the next room. Swim over to the corner lit up by the red light and enter the door here. Follow the passage to the left and enter the door at the end. Use the oxygen tank. Interact with the flashing window here for a scene to complete the mission. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Down in the Docks [ACT17] =============================================================================== Head over to the next objective marker to talk with Buck again. After the conversation, head through the door nearby. Head around the first corner and climb up the wall above the crates. Follow the floor around to the right and jump the gap into the next room. Go down the stairs and drop down to the pool below. Turn right and swim through the open pipe here and exit into the large room. There is a pirate on the boat in the centre of the room as well as five baddies on the platforms along the far side of the area as well. Swim over the far side of the room and eliminate the guy on the lowest level (this is a great place to do a death from below takedown if you have unlocked the ability). Wait for the enemy on the platform above to turn await and then climb the stairs to eliminate him too. Tag the three enemies in front – two on the same level and one above. Stay in cover and wait for the two pirates on your level to separate. Use a rock to lure one to a safe place to perform a take down and then stalk the other and kill him when you get the chance. Kill the other two guys in the room if you want, and then head into the doorway marked with the objective marker to progress. Follow the set path around until you drop down into another cave area. There are six enemies around the corner. One is on the upper platform, three more are in the lower area and two are located at the back of the room (with one on a turret). Sneak up to the balcony and kill the bad guy here. Then toss a rock when the two guards closest to the entrance separate. Kill the enemy that has been lured away and then move in to take out his partner as well. Hit the glowing box on the crates here to explode the door at the back of the room. Mop up any survivors and then proceed through the newly formed hole in the wall. Head through the half open door and continue along the passage. Before dropping into the water at the end, move your reticule around until it turns red and fire a few rounds. There is a crocodile in here and you don’t want it scaring the crap out of you! Swim down and through the tunnel and surface on the other side. Climb up onto the ledge and go and inspect the door in the next room for a scene. Once the door opens, drop into the water and swim down into the tunnel. Swim into the entrance on the left, surface and climb out onto dry land. Continue along the pathway until you reach the large open room. Jump across to the next platform. You’ll end up in the water below. Swim forward and surface in the next room. You can see the objective marker on the raised ledge in front, but we can’t get up there yet. To do this, note the two circular switches, one on either side of the room. We need to open both of these, swim inside and then shoot the wooden beams at the end of the short passage (don’t worry; they glow so you’ll know what to shoot!). You’ll have to do the right hand door first so that you can raise the water level and swim over the left hand gate. Once all of the beams have been destroyed, return to the main room (you’ll have to swim to the top of the left hand room to escape) and swim over to the objective marker to climb out. Proceed through the open door at the end and head up the short stairs. Interact with the object on the pedestal for a short scene. Run over to the left hand wall along the cliffs edge and Jason will shimmy across. Press the requisite button prompts to cross to the next platform. Climb through the tunnel to the left to complete the mission. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== The Motherlode [ACT18] =============================================================================== Make your way over to the next objective marker and speak with Buck to start the mission. After the conversation, head into the mine. Head around the first corner to the right and take the lift down. When you arrive in the mine, interact with the cart in front. Crouch behind it and wait for the patrolling enemy in front to turn his back. Sneak up and take him down. Continue around the corner and do the same thing to his friend. Follow the passage here and kill the three enemies in the next room. Follow the passage at the far side of the area and kill the 6-8 enemies in the tunnel here and in the room at the end. Go through the tunnel here and you’ll exit into a large open area. You will be on a set of mine cart tracks and at the far end is a raised platform with a pair of snipers on it (at times a Molotov thrower as well). To your left is a cliff and on the far side are additional enemies patrolling. Interact with the first mine cart and follow it, using it as mobile cover until it stops. From this position, you should be able to peek out and cap the two snipers. If not, get over to the next mine cart and follow that forward until you have a clear shot. Once the enemies on the raised platform are dead, focus on eliminating the pirates across the gap. Continue across the rope bridge when you are ready. As you cross, a heavy gunner and a Molotov pirate will descend from the dirt ramp to your right, use the building at the opposite end of the bridge and the crates outside as cover to eliminate the pair of them. Proceed up the ramp and enter the tunnel at the top. As you approach the first corner a pair of Molotov pirates will run around to attack you. Kill them, head around the corner and take cover behind the first rocks here. There are 5-6 bad guys in this next room who all know that you are here. Additionally there is a sniper and a Molotov pirate on a raised platform at the back left of the room. Using the rock as cover, eliminate the rest of the enemies, noting that there are a few wooden supports around that you can destroy for an easy kill or two. Once the room falls silent, enter the tunnel at the back of the room and interact with the door at the bottom of the slope. Kill the Komodo dragon in the hallway and then drop down to the room on the right. Run to the centre of the circular seal on the floor and interact with the object here. After the scene, enter the passageway leading downwards. Kill the Komodo dragon at the bottom of the stairs and then jump across the gap to the next platform and jump again over to the right. Climb the slope here, kill another komodo dragon up top and then follow the passage down to an old elevator.Step inside. Once you reach the bottom, continue down the ramp. Follow the wooden platforms and jump across to the stone pillars and over to the temple platform. Climb the stairs and kill the komodo dragon on the other side. Head around the back of the fallen bell and interact with the object on the altar here for a scene. Run up the now unobstructed stairs and follow the linear path at a sprint. You’ll need to jump across to the other side of the room at one point and when you do continue to sprint in the same direction towards the exit until a scene plays to end the mission. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Lin Cong I Presume [ACT19] =============================================================================== Fast travel to the Amankai Outpost and head north to the big circular water source on your map (it’s a cenote). Speak with Buck to find out where to go next… right down into that deep pool of water below. Note that there is an achievement/trophy for diving more than 100 metres and you can do that here, to do it head around to the north side of the cenote to the highest piece of rock overlooking the water. From here sprint and jump over the edge. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: For diving more than 100 metres you will earn the achievement/trophy ‘Free fall’. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Swim over to the north-western side of the pool and climb out. Scale the vines here to reach the platform above. Go into the cave before you and you’ll see the door with the objective marker to the left. Note you can ignore this and continue a short distance further into the cave for a relic if you wish. When you are ready to continue, enter the marked door. Run forward and climb the vine on the far wall. Drop down the hole here and you can get a death from above takedown (if you have unlocked that skill). Peek out the door here; note the two pirates in front and a pair of dogs along the path to the right. When the pair of enemies are not looking in your general direction, head out and kill them both. The draw bridge just in front of your position should now lower and a heavy gunner will approach. Try to hit him with some explody stuff and then kill the dogs as they come to investigate, once they are dead refocus on the heavy until he is dead. Head across the drawbridge and through the next door, there will be 5-6 pirates expecting you. Take cover and eliminate all of them before running over and using the zip line to slide down to the next area. As soon as you land, you’ll be attacked by three pirates who are on the same platform that you land on. Once they are dead, pop your head over the cliff to look down below. Kill as many of the enemies that you can see on the lower platforms as possible to make things easier! When you are happy that it is safe to do so, drop down to the platform below and then from here zip line down to the next level. Follow the platforms to the right and after going through the door, kill the two enemies in the distance and then zip line down to the stone building across the gap. Exit the building and use the wooden platforms to get down to ground level.Note the bubbling death fluid – DO NOT touch it! Kill the two enemies patrolling the ground floor and then follow the objective marked down the next couple of ramps and drop off onto the rocks on the river bank. Hop across to the other side and run up to the rock in front. There are a number of enemies on the higher platform ahead and one of them has a rocket launcher. Lean out and kill them before hopping the gap to the opposite bank and making your way across the rocks here to the far side of the room. As you reach the raised rocks beneath the platform we killed the enemies on, take cover behind them. On the far side of the next area on the raised ledge at the back are another three enemies. Kill them all from here or move across the rocky path to the large rock in the centre of the room and take them out from cover here. Once it is clear to do so, run to the opposite side of the room and climb the view all to reach the platform above. Turn left and cruise up the stairs killing any remaining enemies as you go. At the top, interact with the door on the right. Follow the path to the end and climb up to the platform above. Drop down the other side and turn right. Use the walkways here to descend to the pool below. Wait for the acid to stop bubbling up and run across the rocks and below the first stone archway. Stand on the raised area just to the left. When the acid recedes again hop down to the rocks and run through the next stone arch. Climb the ramp to the right. Follow the path around the corner and climb the vine here. At the top hop up to the next platform and enter the large doorway. Climb to the top of the stairs and interact with the statue. Head down the stairs that appear and kill the Komodo dragon at the bottom. Continue down until you reach a drop off point above a larger room below. Before dropping down, kill the two komodo dragons in here. Drop down and interact with the sarcophagus on the left for a scene. Afterwards sprint for the open door at the opposing end of the room and slide beneath the lowering roof. Follow the button prompts that appear on screen and as you reach the far end you will complete the mission. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Unhappy Reunion [ACT20] =============================================================================== Fast travel to Badtown and follow the objective marker to reach Buck’s place – he’s up on a ridge to the south of town. Enter the front door for a story sequence. Follow the button prompts to complete the mission. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: For completing this mission, you will earn the achievement/trophy ‘Retake Wall Street’. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- =============================================================================== =============================================================================== This Knife's For You [ACT21] =============================================================================== When you regain control of Jason, exit the cave. Now you want to fast travel back to the Temple Gateway travel point. Make your way over to Citra’s temple and head on inside. Return to the central courtyard and go over to speak with Dennis on the right. A scene will ensue. After the scene, exit the temple to complete the mission. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Chapter 7: Definition of Insanity =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Ambush [ACT22] =============================================================================== After exiting Citra’s temple, the new mission will pop up for you. To begin you’ll want to head on over to Church Town, which is marked by the objective marker on your map. Here enter the large church on the east side of town to speak with the Rakyat leader. Exit the church and plant explosives on the truck indicated on the north side of town. Next turn around and head for the water tower to the south of the area. Climb to the top of this before the timer runs out. Grab the sniper rifle from against the wall here. Watch the convoy be ambushed below and use your sniper rifle to clear out the enemies that exit from the vehicles. Several more 4-wheel drives will enter the town from the road to the south and more troops will pour in from either side of the church on the east side of the village. Your goal is to snipe as many of these enemies as possible. After a minute or so, the armoured vehicle will take off and you are going to need to track it down. Jump down from the water tower and head over to the vehicle on the west side of town that has the objective marker on it and kill anyone that tries to impede your progress. Once you are in the marked truck, turn right to find the ambush site and then head left at the main road behind the smoking truck and follow it out of town. When you reach the first road block, smash it with your truck and then turn to the right. Follow the road up the hill a short distance and you will see that the vehicle of your interest has stopped. Kill the two privateers on the ground guarding it and when it is safe to do so, approach the door on the back of the armoured vehicle for a scene. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: For completing this mission, you will earn the achievement/trophy ‘Have I told You?’. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Warrior Rescue Service [ACT23] =============================================================================== During the scene, mash the button indicated to continue and then once you regain full control swim up to the surface before you drown. Swim through the tunnel nearby and hop out from behind the waterfall, sneak up and take down the enemy in front of you. If you move towards the objective marker, you will see another two enemies just nearby to the west, they are separated, so take them down separately. Continue to the west and hop up on the raised rocky area next to where we killed the two previous pirates. From the top of this, you have a nice vantage point over the first half of the base below. You can tag the enemies in the following locations: ___________________ [ Enemy Locations: \_______________________________________________________ |___________________________________________________________________________| | | | 1.Sniper - There is a sniper on the roof of the building to the left; it | | can be identified by the green tarps. | | | | 2.Regular- A pirate is patrolling along the river on the north side of | | the camp, behind the building with the green tarps on the | | roof. | | | | 3.Regular- A pirate is in the main open area below in front of the ‘Fish | | and fish’ sign. | | | | 4.Regular- Another pirate patrols the base of the cliff below you from | | North to South and back. | | | | 5.Sniper - There is another sniper on a rooftop on the south side of the | | camp. | | | | 6.Sniper - Across the river on the south side of the camp, you can make | | out an additional enemy in a watch tower. | [___________________________________________________________________________] Our goal is to get across to the chopper which is on the rocky outcrop above the base in front of us. We need to deal with this base in front stealthily; at least until we take down the alarm otherwise you’ll have a time limit imposed on you for the next part of the mission which will make things a little more difficult. To do this quickly and easily, drop down and kill the guard patrolling at the base of the cliff. Wait for the enemies in the middle area to look away and make your way over to the sniper building on the north side of the area. There is a spot to climb up here on the eastern side of the building so get on up and eliminate the sniper. Drop back down and use the grass at the base of the cliff to approach the other sniper position. Wait until he looks away and climb up and deal with him. Use the zip line here to cross to the main building in the area and drop down to the south when you arrive to disable the alarm. Kill the remaining enemies in the area, Now that the alarm has been disabled, there is no reason for stealth. Cross the river on the north side of the camp and work your way up the dirt slope here. Peek around the corner to tag the sniper atop the building to the west of the helicopter and any ground forces that are visible. Kill the sniper and then move in to eliminate the rest of the infantry. There are around 4-5 regular pirates and a heavy gunner here so use the sniper building as cover to take them out as they come around the chopper. Once the area is clear, enter the helicopter. During the scene, follow the on-screen button prompts. Afterwards, you need to retrieve your equipment from a nearby pirate camp. Approach the objective marker and in the first area you should see four enemies – two in the middle, one at the back of the area and one sitting in a chair on the left. Track and take down the two in the opening first and then kill the guy at the back of the area near the trees finally kill the guy in the chair. Loot the shacks here (one of them contains C4 which will be handy in a moment!). Note the shack ahead to the northwest. There is a heavy gunner inside. Cross the road to the west and approach the building from the tall grass. Lure the two guard dogs patrolling the structure out to you so you can knife them and then when the heavy comes to investigate toss the c4 at him and detonate it. Run in and knife him to finish him off if the explosion was insufficient. Enter the building and examine the glowing cupboard at the back of the room to recover your gear. Upon doing this you will have completed the mission. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== New Rite of Passage [ACT24] =============================================================================== Use fast travel to return back to the Temple Gateway travel point. Make your way over to Citra’s temple and head on inside. Continue through the central courtyard, through the mural room and exit to the courtyard beyond. Speak with Citra here and a scene will ensue. Once you are back in control, climb the stairs a short way and watch the events unfold in front of you and after a short while you’ll see a giant ink monster appear behind the temple in front. Thankfully we will now pull out a bow with an infinite number of explosive arrows – how fortuitous, as the ink monster’s weakness is being shot in the face with explosive arrows! During the first part of the fight with the ink monster he will lean down and stick his head close to you and spit a stream of ink on the ground and will try to hit you with it. It is corrosive and will damage you if it touches. To counteract this when the ink monster comes in close sprint either to the left or right until you are out of the range of his attack and nail him a few times with an explosive arrow or two. Once the monster has had enough, he will disappear and a number of smaller, human sized versions of himself will spawn around the courtyard and charge in to machete you. Use the bow to kill them as they approach. After killing a few of these guys, the ink monster will rematerialize behind the temple again. This time, the monster will throw four blobs of the ink at you and then pause for a second. Here you will need to strafe left or right to avoid the balls of death fluid and then pop him once or twice in the face with arrows when he sits still for a moment. After taking enough damage, the ink monster will lean in close to shoot a stream of ink at you once more, at this point, sprint to the side and shoot him and he’ll collapse. Run up to the arm closest to you and hop on, run up the arm and a scene will play, press the button prompts as required. Once the scene ends, the mission will be complete. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Payback [ACT25] =============================================================================== When the last mission finishes, you will regain control of Jason on an island facing our next target. Across the water you will see Vaas’s island, jump down and swim across to the far side. Approach the doc from under water to avoid detection and kill the solitary pirate on top when you get the chance. Follow the path around the corner and kill the two pirates harassing the woman here. Go around the corner and turn left, climb the slope here to reach a higher ridge overlooking the area in front of the compound. There are two dogs, three regular baddies and a sniper in the tower to the right of the compound. Eliminate them before heading to the objective marker and climbing up onto the wall. Open the door here and climb the stairs into the next room. After a short scene run through the open doorway until you reach the marker. After dropping down to the lower area, jump through the window and locate the ladder around the corner to the left. Climb up to the roof and immediately move forward into cover. When you have taken out a few enemies, drop down to the balcony of the building to your left. Enter the door to the left and proceed through to the next room. Kill the sniper on the balcony here. From this point if you look towards the main base, you will see a cage shoot this to release a tiger; there is another directly south across the courtyard. Two tigers on the loose will definitely help you to take out Vaas’s men more efficiently. Once there are no enemies left outside, go downstairs and run over towards the main building. As you approach the door will open and a heavy gunner and two regular pirates will emerge. Immediately retreat back up to that sniper position. This will give you an opportunity to pick them off before they get close! Once they have been killed return to the ground level and head up and through the now open door to the main compound. Enter the door on the left for a short scene. When you are back in control, continue forward until another scene plays out. Hit the button prompt when required. After the flash occurs, move forward. As you do enemies with machetes will spawn from the darkness on either side of the path and run at you. As they will continue to spawn indefinitely, you will need to walk to the far end of the room. You will need to do this slowly, continue to move forward killing all the enemies that approach and stopping in your tracks to reload when you have a safe moment. When you reach the stairs at the end, climb to the top and hit the button prompts as required to complete the mission. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: For completing this mission, you will earn the achievement/trophy ‘Taken for Granted’. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Citra's Favor [ACT26] =============================================================================== After the scene, run back towards the main temple and head for the exit. Just before you reach it, duck into the side passage to have a chat with Dennis. Afterwards exit from the temple. When you are able, fast travel to Dr Earnheardt’s mansion and then return to the cave below to have a chat with your rescued friends to complete the mission. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Chapter 8: Poker Face =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Fly South [ACT27] =============================================================================== After exiting the cave, check your map. You will notice that the mission start point is in the Amanaki Outpost. Cruise on over here using fast travel and go to the objective marker to call Willis. We now have to drive over to the runway nearby, you have 5 minutes to get there so as long as you have your map uncovered and you keep track of where you are, you should have no difficulty getting there. As you approach Willis will be under attack, so get out of the vehicle and help him to kill the attackers. Once they are dead, you will have to protect Willis whilst he fixes the plane. Unfortunately we are going to be set upon by a number of waves of enemies. To keep on top of things, monitor your mini map for those red dots indicating enemies. Note that there are some mines near where Willis is working on the plane and a fixed turret nearby that looks down the runway. I’d recommend placing one of your mines near the concrete barricades to the east for now. The waves play out as such: ___________________ [ Wave Formations : \_______________________________________________________ |___________________________________________________________________________| [ ] | 1. The first wave of enemies will attack from the runway and from the | | jungle area off to the left. | | | | 2. The next wave will spawn to the east and north, and consists of four | | pirates from the east and one to the north. | | | | 3. A heavy gunner will approach from the east. | | | | 4. The next wave comes from the north and east again with vehicles. 5-6 | | enemies will be on the ground and a gunner will stay on the vehicles | | turret. Most of these guys will come from the north. | | | | 5. The final wave will come from the east and the runway. Try to kill the| | two pirates and the heavy gunner off in the woods to the left (the | | turret makes short work of these guys) before turning east and taking | | out the heavy gunner here. Kill any other pirates nearby before | | jumping back on the turret and killing the final heavy gunner as he | | approaches from the runway. | [___________________________________________________________________________] After all of the enemies are dead, a scene will play to complete the mission. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: For completing this mission, you will earn the achievement/trophy ‘Higher than a Kite’. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Three Blind Mice [ACT28] =============================================================================== After hopping out of the plane, hit the button to deploy the wing suit and aim it towards the objective marker on the island in the distance. Use the parachute and land on the beach. Once you are back on solid ground, head up the grassy hill in front. From the hill here, you should be able to make out the group of enemies we need to kill. There are 3 regular pirates and 3 snipers. There is also a tiger in a cage. Shoot the cage to unleash the tiger. Once the tiger has been killed, mop up any remaining pirates before commandeering their truck. Drive over to the objective marker and hop out once you see the sheet metal wall. Enter the town and turn right as soon as you are in the gate. Head over to the Crazy Cock bar and go inside. Chat with the bar tender for a conversation. Afterwards, head over to the guy marked with the objective marker for another scene. Go down the stairs and walk up to the table. Play a couple of hands of poker until one of the players at the table leaves. Follow him outside for a scene. Afterwards the mission will be complete. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Doppelganger [ACT29] =============================================================================== Work your way over to the far side of Thurston Town and head for the objective marker to find Sam for a scene highlighting what we need to do for this mission. Afterwards head outside. Now it’s time to head over to the objective waypoint marker. During this mission, you will have no weapons and you cannot be detected at all or you will fail the mission. To begin, I suggest approaching the cenote from the north. Use the shrubs as cover to work your way around the outside of the cenote without being detected. Use a rock to distract the privateer guarding the stairs leading down. When the guard heads off to investigate, make your way down the stairs. When you reach the cave, take cover behind the crate tag the guard ahead. Wait for him to walk off and then follow him. As soon as you enter the larger room, take cover behind the stalagmite to the right and tag the second guard. Wait for the second guard to turn away and then sneak over to the next stalagmite continue behind the stalactites to the right here until you find a ramp leading down to a lower area of the room. Peek around the corner when you reach the end. A guard will go and stand right at the entrance to a ramp leading down to the next area. Toss a rock into the room behind him and whilst he is distracted, head down the ramp. Follow the objective markers until you are back outside. There will be a guard with his back to you. Go back into the cave and hide in the bushes, he will patrol back into this room and sit in a chair. Once he has passed, sneak outside and follow the platform to the left. Make your way behind the seated privateer ahead and continue along the metal walkway until you re-enter the cave. Follow this into the next open room and take cover in the bushes indicated by the objective marker. Peek through the opening here and tag all of the enemies in the room below. Afterwards, look back to where you entered. To the right of the entrance to the room you should be able to spy additional shrubs. Wait for the guards here to split up and then sneak over and into the shrubs. Follow the path here down to the lower section of the area. Hug the right hand wall to make your way across this room. The guy at the top of the ramp will spot you if you go all the way, so be sure to throw a rock to distract him before slipping out of the door. Go down to the dock here and jump in. Swim out to the objective marker. Climb the ladder here and perform a takedown on the privateer behind the crates on the left. After a short scene, work your way to the objective marker at the front of the ship for a couple of scenes. Once all the talking is done, hop into the water and swim over to the boat.Hop in and drive it out of the cenote to complete the mission. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Triple Decker [ACT30] =============================================================================== After the previous mission, you’ll receive a phone call from Sam who will point out the next target to you. Make your way to the mission area on the north west side of the island. The mission area consists as a ruin at the base of a cliff with a scaffolding leading up to a mine in a cave near the top of the cliff. There are three VIPs in the area and you will need to kill them all and loot their bodies. The good thing is that now that we have a privateer outfit, we can mingle amongst them without them attacking. Its possible to run through this area shooting all the enemies up without any real consequences (other than a big firefight). If you want to do this, work your way up the platforms killing as you go and looting the VIPs when they are downed. On the other hand, you could do what I prefer to do - a stealth attack! Let’s start from the bottom. Tag all the enemies around here, there will be three regulars and a VIP, there also a pair of snipers up the ramp at the far end of the camp. Head over to the east of the area and wait for the guard to wander alone through the grass to take him down (try to do this with a rock between the building with the VIP and the body so he doesn’t see it).Run over to the small structure to the right of the ramp and kill the enemy crouched down here. Next wait on the west side of the ruins near the toilet, one of the guards will wander in. Take him out. Now it’s just a matter of waiting for the VIP to patrol into some grass, so that you can take him down without alerting the snipers. Once you kill the VIP, loot his body and continue up the ramp at the back. At the top of the ramp, wait for the snipers to separate and take them both down. Turn right and climb up the crates and onto the metal slid leading to the top of the cliff. Run up this to get there as quickly as possible. At the top turn to the right and tag the enemies here. There is a VIP on a platform overlooking the lower areas, a dude on a turret and another two regular guards patrolling in and around in front of the mine entrances. Note the building near the exit to the right most mine entrance. DO NOT kill anyone in here! Every time that I did, another enemy spawned into existence in the room with me immediately and started shooting. Instead, we’ll leave these guys alone for now and head over to the left most mine entrance. Once inside tag all the enemies and use rocks to lure the enemies over to a secluded corner (the bushes between the left hand and middle entrances are good enough) one at a time and take them down. Kill the VIP and loot him. Exit here and do the same thing. Lure enemies away – avoiding that shack I told you to avoid earlier – and kill them one by one. Loot the final VIP. There is a zip line close to the rightmost entrance to the mine so that you can get back to ground level. Exit the ruin and follow the road to the left until you reach the next objective marker to complete the mission. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Defusing the Situation [ACT31] =============================================================================== Make your way over to the objective marker and speak with Sam. After a short conversation, he will run off. Follow him until he goes inside for the first time. At this point, he is going to disarm a bomb, so you will need to defend the house from incoming enemy forces. They will approach from the east, south and west. So continue to monitor your map to spot where the enemies are coming from and use the windows or head outside to deal with the threats as they appear. Once the bomb has been disarmed, exit the house and follow Sam up the nearby stairs. Kill the two pirates guarding the next shack ahead. Inside Sam will start work on the second bomb. Again, the building has windows giving you a pretty good view of the east, which happens to be where all of the enemies will be coming from (although if they get too close, you can still shoot them using the window to the north). Once you have killed a few standard pirates, a technical will show up with a gunner on the back. Pop the gunner ASAP and then return to killing the vanilla bad guys. Once Sam has finished, follow him outside and mop up any remaining bad guys. Follow him down the road and kill the sniper in the windmill acting as a sniper tower on the road. At the windmill, hang a left and approach the green house. Cap the guy manning the fixed turret and kill his buddy inside. The third and final bomb is also in the greenhouse here. As such, jump on the turret and get ready to defend. A large number of enemies will stream up the slope towards the green house. Attack the ones closest to you and continue to monitor your mini map to keep track of where the enemies are coming to attack from. After wiping out the infantry, an attack helicopter will show up. Use the turret to take the helicopter down. Upon the destruction of the helicopter, a scene will play to signify successful completion of the mission. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Deepthroat [ACT32] =============================================================================== When you are ready to continue with the story, go to the objective marker to begin the next mission. Follow the dirt path down the hill and up around the corner to the right until you reach the mine cart tracks. Climb the ladder on the structure on the left and use the zip line to cross the chasm to the platform on the other side. Climb the ladder on your right and use the zip line to zoom back over to the other side of the valley. Move forwards and use the stairs to ascend to the top of the tower ahead. From here you have a nice vantage point over the meeting. Take out your camera and zoom in on the bridge in the distance. Take a photo of the bad guys when prompted to do so. You’ll now have a time limit imposed on you. Quickly exit from the camera and use the zip line to the right to get down to the platform across the gap ahead. Run through the tunnel and sprint up to the objective marker. Pick up an RPG from the box here and destroy the two vehicles on the bridge with it. Unfortunately, blowing up the bridge will have blown your cover, so switch weapons and kill the bad guy immediately in front and then duck into the mine entrance on the right. Peek out and clear any enemies that are on your platform and those that insist on shooting at you from across the valley. Once the landing area opposite is clear of bad guys, use the zip line up the nearby ramp to cross to the other side of the valley again. Turn left when you land and follow the passage to the end. As you approach a group of enemies will emerge from the mine entrance here. Take cover and eliminate them. You can head inside for some ammo if you like. Note that some additional enemies have spawned on the upper level, so when you exit the mine and climb up the ramp nearby, be careful to avoid getting shot as you take the new baddies down. Follow the walkway all the way to the top of this area and before using the zip line up top, take cover behind some nearby crates and eliminate the pair of enemies opposite who are taking pot shots at you. When it’s clear, zip line over to the other side yet again! As you land, four privateers will run out of the mine shaft to your left. Kill them as they emerge and then head inside for some body armour and some ammo if you require either. Exit the mine and follow the wooden platforms to the right. Kill the three enemies that emerge from the building at the far end of the walkway and then use one final zip line to cross the gap here. After reaching the other side, climb up the dirt slope here and turn right at the top. Clear out the 5-6 privateers in and around the small building here before proceeding to the bridge and looting the body marked with the objective marker. As soon as you pick up the item a truck with soldiers will rock up to attack, so jump off the bridge in the direction of the next objective marker and use the wing suit to fly over there. Deploy the parachute to land near the marked vehicle to complete the mission. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Chapter 9: Sabotaging the Operation =============================================================================== =============================================================================== All In [ACT33] =============================================================================== When you are ready to begin, make your way over to the objective marker to find Hoyt’s compound. Speak with Sam out in front for a scene. After you regain control, head down the stairs and turn right at the bottom. Go through the open door here. Enter the stairwell on the left and go all the way down to the basement and speak with Sam. During the ensuing scene, press the buttons that pop up on screen. After the scene the mission will be complete. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: For completing this mission, you will earn the achievement/trophy ‘Deep Cover’. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Paint It Black [ACT34] =============================================================================== Head over to the objective marker and approach the base. You’ll notice that it is a restricted area. These enemies will attack you on sight. As such, hang out in the circular WW2 relic structure on the hilltop near our objective marker and mark your targets from here. There are two snipers, two heavy gunners and seven regular enemies to deal with. ___________________ [ Enemy Locations: \_______________________________________________________ |___________________________________________________________________________| [ | | 1.Regular- Standing in some sandbags at the front of the base on the | | right hand side. | | | | 2.Regular- Patrolling back and forward near a truck on the right hand | | side of the base. | | | | 3.Heavy – Standing guard in front of the door marked with the objective | | marker. | | | | 4.Heavy – Patrolling at the back of the base from left to right. | | | | 5.Sniper – In the snipers nest just above the door marked with the | | objective marker. | | | | 6.Regular– Patrolling around the centre of the area and the base of the | | central sniper tower. | | | | 7.Regular– Patrolling from the sniper tower in the centre of the base and| | out to the left hand side of the base. | | | | 8.Sniper – in the sniper tower in the centre of the base. | | | | 9.Regular– Patrolling aback and forward along the front of the left side | | of the base. | | | | 10.Regular– Patrolling along the top of the cliff on the left side of the | | base.Standing in a circle of sand bags. | | | | 11.Regular– patrolling along the top of the cliff on the left side of the | | base. | [___________________________________________________________________________] If sneakiness isn’t your thing, once you have tagged all the enemies you can do whatever you want to go and take them down! Alternatively, if you want to go through this camp all sneaky like, once you have marked all of the enemies, I would advise using a silenced sniper rifle to kill the two snipers. Approach the base from the east. From the structure we used as a viewpoint, down the hill in front is a man-made trench (entrance at X224.2, Y497.7). Enter the trench and turn right and then take the next left. Go beneath the bridge and look up to the right. Wait for the enemy to look away and continue past the bridge. As soon as you are past it, go up the slope and look right. Climb the wooden ramp here and take the guy in the centre of the sand bag wall down. Go to the truck nearby and hide in the grass to the right of it. Wait for the guard to patrol back to the right so that he is behind the truck in the grass and take him down. You will now be very close to the two heavy gunners guarding the door. Back up into the grass and look to the right of the objective marker for the small structure nearby with the tarp on top. Sneak around the back of this and you will be behind the heavies. Throw some rocks into the tent in front of them to distract them and as they walk away, run up to the objective marker and plant explosives on the door. Retreat back to the grass again. Detonate the explosives and the heavies should run off towards where you threw the rock just before. Take this opportunity to go and sneak into the bunker. Unfortunately, no matter how stealthy you were in entering the base, that explosion that you set off will alert all the enemies in the next room. Here there are 5-6 regular privateers and a Flamethrower heavy. Quickly kill the enemies in the room in front; this will bring the flamethrower heavy in. Grab the mines off the ground just inside the door. Lay a few of these down and then retreat back through the doorway. Alternatively, if you have some C4 you can just lob one at him and detonate it for a quick kill. Enter either the left or right doorways (it doesn’t matter, they both end up in the same room) and kill the enemies in here. Pull out your C4 or mines again and approach the door on the northwest side of the room. Just to the right in the hallway is another flamethrower heavy so use your explosives on him and then take out the rest of his posse. At the end of the hallway, enter the door to the right. Fight your way through the room here and the next hallway. When you reach the wire fence, enter the door to the right and then quickly run back out again as a flamethrower heavy will kick some lit explosive barrels down the stairs at you. If you still have some explosives left, you know what to do with them! If you don’t, backtrack and kite the flamethrower through the bunker using grenades and headshots to damage him until he dies. Return to the stairs and climb the ladder at the top of them. In front you will see a bunch of ammo. DO NOT approach it. Look to your right and peek around the edge to see the satellite dish. There are two snipers guarding it. There is a dog with them and a third sniper just to the left of the door behind the ammo I mentioned. Kill these enemies in any way you choose and then loot the room. When you are ready, interact with the glowing marker on the satellite dish to plant the explosives. This will trigger a number of waves of enemies to attack. The waves will play out roughly like this (Note that depending on how long it takes, you can finish the mission between the 2nd and 3rd waves - see the note below the table): ___________________ [ Wave Formations : \_______________________________________________________ |___________________________________________________________________________| [ | | 1. A combination of regulars and chargers will appear with three bad guys | | emerging from the bunker and a further two approaching from around the | | right side of the bunker. | | | | 2. A combination of regulars and chargers (five in total) will come out of| | the bunker, they will soon be followed by a heavy gunner. | | | | 3. The last wave sees another five enemies consisting of chargers and | | regulars and a further heavy come from the bunker and from the left | | side of the bunker. | [___________________________________________________________________________] During the 2nd and 3rd waves you will hear a helicopter. Keep your eye out to the right and as soon as it touches the ground, even if there are enemies still about, you’ll want to sprint over and get in. Detonate the explosives when the trigger appears on screen. When you hop out of the chopper ensure that you activate your wing suit and parachute down to the ground safely. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Black Gold [ACT35] =============================================================================== Once you are back on the ground, fast travel to Delta camp and then head over to the objective marker nearby to find Sam sitting on the hood of a car. After a scene you will be in charge of the vehicle whilst Sam will use the turret to cover you. Drive to the first objective marker. Bust through the gate and take the first path to the right. Pull up outside the building at the bottom of the hill with the objective marker on it. Hop out of the vehicle. Follow the fence to the left of the building and go around the corner to find a flamethrower heavy. Lure him into the open and let Sam help you out with the turret in taking him down. Return back behind the fence and plant the explosives in the designated area. Sprint back and get into the truck. Drive along the road to the west and take the first left. Again hop out when you reach the building with the marker on it. As you approach, a few soldiers will spawn outside and a technical or two will also show up. Help Sam to eliminate the hostiles before entering the building and planting the charge. Return to the vehicle. From here you should be able to make out the next point of interest to the north with the giant blue vats in front of it. Head over here and clear out the enemies lining up on the left side of the building. Enter the door and kill the regular enemies (there are 4-5) there is also a heavy gunner present. Lure him outside where Sam can assist in killing him. Return back inside once he is dead and mop up any other enemies that are still kicking about. Climb down the stairs at the back of the room and plant the explosive here.Backtrack in a hurry to the car. Now drive over to the final building to the east. Once you arrive, exit the vehicle and eliminate all the hostiles in the immediate area. When it is clear, enter the building. As you do a new group of enemies will spawn at the back of the room. As with the previous objective, kill the regulars and kite the heavy gunner outside where you have turret assistance. Again, once he is dead, enter the building, kill any remaining enemies and plant the bomb. Return to the vehicle. As the fourth reservoir blows up, another objective will appear so drive over to this one and park the vehicle where the game shows you to. At this point, you will need to get onto the machine gun whilst Sam does his own thing. This is not easy. You need to defend against a large number of enemies that will come from all directions. A few tips: 1.Use your map to see where they are coming from. 2.Use the explosive barrels lying around everywhere to take out multiple enemies at a time. 3.Focus on killing the gunners on the back of technical when they appear. 4.When the helicopter shows up at the end, pop it to complete the defend task. Once Sam hops back in the vehicle, use the turret to shoot anything in the path as he drives you to the end of the mission. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Chapter 10: Point of No Return =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Aced in the Hole [ACT36] =============================================================================== ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Note: This mission is Far Cry 3’s point of no return. Once you start the mission proper, you will be unable to free roam until after the credits have rolled. That means no quests, hunting or outpost/tower liberations until you are done. Once the game is complete, free roam will once again be available. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ When you are ready to commence, head over to the gate to Hoyt’s compound and speak to Sam. He’ll also tell you that this is the point of no return and a warning will pop up on the screen. When you are ready to continue hit the accept button for a scene. Play poker as you normally would. During the second and third hands, press the button that appears on screen to continue. After the poker game, follow the on-screen button prompts to complete the mission. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: For completing this mission, you will earn the achievement/trophy ‘Poker Night’. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Betting Against the House [ACT37] =============================================================================== When you regain control of Jason, you will be given a time limit. Exit the room and go for the stairs, you’ll notice a flamethrower heavy coming up to investigate. Kill him and the two regular enemies on the ground floor. As you approach the exit, kill the enemy on the steps outside and take care of the guys who drive up in the jeep ensuring to get rid of the machine gunner ASAP. Clear out any additional enemies in the immediate area and then run over to the red gate opposite the building exit. Turn left and head into the grass here. Crouch and follow the wall all the way along, hopping over obstacles when required. You’ll reach a sheet metal wall with the gate beyond it. Looking at your map, you’ll notice a number of enemies on the other side. Toss a few rocks over to the distance and when you see those red dots walking away, move around the wall and sprint out the gate to the vehicle parked on the side of the road ahead. Follow the road you are on, ignoring the enemies in the way and shooting at you. As you reach the bridge it will start to rise. Drive as fast as you can over this to launch to the other side. Follow the road to the left and when you reach the fork, take the left path and continue onto the bridge. A helicopter will appear. Quickly jump into the turret and shoot it down. Continue across to the other side of the bridge to reach the airport. Kill the 5-6 enemies that come to greet you and then head over to the right hand side of the area. Head into the grass and work your way to the opposite end of the runway sticking to the outside of the buildings as you go (to avoid the enemies populating the centre). When you reach the last major building, kill the sniper up in the tower in front. From here, kill the enemies on the tarmac. This will cause the enemies that we skipped earlier to converge on your position as well. At this point though, they will run in lines making them much easier to eliminate. Once the runway is clear, you will want to head over to the building on the north side of the runway. Behind a wire fence on the side of this building is a flamethrower heavy. Fortunately he is stupid and will stay there if you stay just outside his range so shoot him to death. Afterwards head inside and open the locked door. The scene here will cause another flamethrower heavy and three regular soldiers to spawn outside. Deal with them and then run over to the helicopter marked with the objective marker…And cue the music! You’ll hop on a turret and have to defend the helicopter until it is able to lift off. A bunch of guys will rock up on the runway, conveniently in the turret’s field of view. Use it to kill the infantry and pair of vehicles that appear. Once the chopper takes off, you are going to go on a brief tour of the air strip and surrounding area. Use the turret to eliminate the vehicles and enemies that you can see on the ground/water below. After leaving the runway, you will fly up a river. Destroy the technical and gunboats here and then focus on the structures on the bank of the river. There are a bunch of RPG enemies on the rooftops here who will do some serious damage to the helicopter if you are unable to kill them in a timely manner. Next, destroy the vehicles on the bridge. At this point, the helicopter heads back to the runway again. This time there are numerous RPG enemies on the tarmac. They are easy enough to spot and all stand out in the open. Try not to get hit too many times! Upon leaving the airport a second time, destroy the trucks on the bridge and any surviving infantry before focusing on the gun boat and then shooting down the three enemy helicopters that come to attack you. Upon destroying the third and final helicopter a scene will play to indicate your success. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== The Doctor Is Out [ACT38] =============================================================================== After the scene, run up to the house and enter it. Continue through and out the other side. Head over to the gazebo marked with the objective marker for a scene. Afterwards return back to the helicopter to complete the mission. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Hard Choices [ACT39] =============================================================================== Once you have landed, enter Citra’s temple and make your way to the courtyard for a scene. Once the scene is over, enter the door with the red smoke in front. Walk along the fiery path here until you reach the end. Take the knife from Citra here. You will now have two choices. Press either of the buttons on the screen for a different ending. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: For completing this mission, you will earn the achievement/trophy ‘What a Trip’. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Congratulations! You’ve just completed far Cry 3. Huzzah! =============================================================================== =============================================================================== =============================================================================== ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ********************** ************************** *** CRAFTING & RECIPES *** [CRFTG] ************************** ********************** To supplement the game's gunplay, players can now craft items to assist them in a number of facets of gameplay. We need to liberate all of the 34 outposts from pirate control, track down and complete the Path of the Hunter missions, complete all of those Wanted Dead quests, uncover the map by scaling all of the Radio Towers, finish off all of the suppy drop checkpoint races, smash through all of the story side-missions and finally having a crack at the Trials of the Rakyat score challenges. ...Thats a lot of content, so we had better get started! =============================================================================== =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Story Side-Missions [SDQTA] =============================================================================== There are 14 story side-quests appearing in a number of places across the two islands that make up the world of FarCry 3. You can locate these by looking at your map. These missions will appear on the map as a blue exclamation mark icon. To begin the quest, make your way over to the marker and speak with the person of interest. For each quest you complete, you will earn $500. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Wherefore Art Thou Juliet [SDQSA] =============================================================================== Fast travel to Amanaki Town and head over to the blue exclamation mark nearby to interact with the people here. After a short conversation, you’ll begin the side-quest. Once you have received the quest, head out of town and make your way over to the objective marker to the south of town. As you reach the river, the marker will move to the rock above the water on the south side of the river. Swim to the other side and you’ll receive an objective to clear all of the aggressive animals from the area. Climb the dirt slope next to the rock here and turn right at the top to see a group of five Komodo dragons hanging around a body at the base of the rock. Kill them all (land mines, C4 and grenades work wonders on this group!). Once they are all dead, climb up onto the rock and chat with the woman to complete the mission. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Tagging the Past [SDQSB] =============================================================================== This quest is started by chatting with the man at the mountain top shack at X395.6, Y774.7. It’s about halfway between the Valsa Docks and Amanaki Town outposts on the map. After the conversation, three objective markers will appear on the screen. These represent the dog tags that we need to collect and return to the quest giver. They can be found at the following locations: > X382.9, Y769.7 – Head over to the mountain at the location indicated by the co-ordinates. Here you will find a WW2 style artillery gun. Make your way to the gun and find the tunnel behind it to find the corpse. Loot the body for the tags. Alternatively, you can enter the tunnel via a ladder in the ruins on top of the hill (entrance at X380.3, Y774.1). > X374.5, Y784.6 – As with the last objective, head over to the hill at the location indicated by the co-ordinates. Here you will find a WW2 style artillery gun. The corpse we need to loot is slumped against a wall nearby. > X396.6, Y788.0 – At a third artillery gun at the co-ordinates listed. The body here is propped up against the gun itself. Once you have all three tags, return to the quest giver to complete the mission. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Love Eternal [SDQSc] =============================================================================== Fast travel to the Northview Gas outpost and travel out to the blue exclamation mark to the south west at X438.6, Y621.0. Speak with the crying woman in the small cabin on the beach. After the mission briefing, climb up to the top of the nearby hill to the objective marker. Speak with the man hanging around near the grave. He’s the unarmed fellow with the beige shirt and blue jeans. After the chat, shoot the ground at his feet a few times to scare him and the objective will update. Return to the woman on the beach to complete the mission. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== A Connection to the Past [SDQSD] =============================================================================== This quest is started by chatting with the man in the ancient ruins at X564.9, Y642.6. The location is about halfway between the Temple Gateway and Hubris Farm outposts on the map. After the conversation, three objective markers will appear on the screen. These represent the tablets that we need to collect and return to the quest giver. They can be found at the following locations: > X571.3, Y649.3 – Enter the temple to the north east (entrance at X567.6, Y645.9). Go down the stairs inside. In the first room, find the tunnel to the left of the shrine. At the end, dive into the water to find the tablet on the floor underwater. > X560.9, Y644.4 – Sitting against the wall inside the building at the co-ordinates listed. > X561.5, Y625.7 - In the top area of a ruin to the east of Citra's Temple. At the ruins at the co-ordinates, destroy the door (at X559.9, Y626.6). Climb up and head around the corner to the left. Ignore the ladder and walk around the ledge to the left to find a door into the room on the right. The tablet is on the floor here. Once you have all three tablets, return to the quest giver to complete the mission. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Once More with Dignity [SDQSE] =============================================================================== Fast travel to the neck’s Diner outpost and travel out of town to the north until you reach the blue exclamation mark at X693.5, Y625.8. Enter the building and chat with the man inside. Afterwards, return outside and harvest the three plants just near the exit – Golden Beehives. Return inside and speak with the quest giver again. Exit the building and climb the nearby hill to the mission area highlighted on your mini-map. Harvest three heliconia plants from this region and then return to the man in the house again. Again, exit the house and this time, make your way over to the gully to the north east. Here we need to harvest three screw pines. Watch out though as sometimes there is a bear hanging out down here. Kill the bear and harvest the plants before returning to the man in the house. Speak to him one last time to complete the mission. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Cargo Dump [SDQSF] =============================================================================== Look at your map and head over to the blue exclamation mark at X704.7, Y678.0. Enter the building at these co-ordinates and chat with the man inside. After the conversation, pick up the tracker from the crate to the right of the man. Exit the house and follow the objective marker to the southwest. Once you arrive at the accident site, Jason will pull out the tracker. You need to find and take photos of five barcodes. Looking at the scanner, you will see a small light blinking away. This light will blink with a yellow color when you are not looking at one of the crates but are close. It will remain lit in a solid white color whilst you are facing a barcode. Additionally the device will beep, the faster the beeps, the closer you are to the objective! The barcodes are at the following locations: > X691.1, Y655.6 – Beneath/next to a number of cardboard boxes at these co-ordinates. > X687.0, Y648.4 – In the tree just to the left of the overturned truck on the bank of the river. Warning, there is often a bear wandering around here! > X686.3, Y646.7 - From the previous barcode, head for the cargo container across the river. Note the lock on the door facing the water. Shoot the lock and go inside to find the barcode. > X686.8, Y637.0 – Further down the river to the south of the previous barcode, on the ground next to some cargo boxes. > X678.0, Y636.0 – Jump down the waterfall at the co-ordinates indicated. Climb out to the north and use the ledges here to climb up and behind the waterfall. Here you’ll find the final barcode. Once you have taken pictures of all five barcodes, the mission will be complete. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Dog Soldier [SDQSG] =============================================================================== Look at your map and head over to the blue exclamation mark at X772.3, Y657.2; it’s along the beach about halfway between the Nat’s Repairs and Kell’s Boat Repairs outposts. Enter the building at these co-ordinates and chat with the man inside. Exit the house and cruise over to the objective marker on the beach nearby. You will see a large group of dogs here. We need to kill the alpha dog. Enter the mission area specified on the mini-map. As you approach, the objective marker should shift to a dog. This is the one you need to kill. Toss a grenade into the pack to frighten them. This will disperse the group. Once they are disbanded, focus on shooting the marked dog. Once the dog is dead, return to the quest giver to complete the mission. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Faces of Death [SDQSH] =============================================================================== Fast travel to Badtown and follow the blue exclamation mark to the north side of town. Speak to the man marked with the icon to begin the quest. After the conversation, three objective markers will appear on your map. These represent the bodies that we need to go and photograph for the quest giver. They can be found at the following locations: > X781.5, Y744.4 – You’ll find the body lying on the side of the road at these co-ordinates. Watch out as occasionally there is a tiger wandering around this area. > X762.8, Y735.1 – The body is on the ground beneath a tree at the top of the small hill here. Note there are 2-3 pirates roaming around this area that you will probably have to kill before you can get some alone time with the body for a photo. > X754.4, Y740.4 – The final body is propped up against a rock on the side of the road at the co-ordinates specified. Once you have taken all three photos, return to the quest giver to complete the mission. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Pinned to Earth [SDQSI] =============================================================================== Look at your map and head over to the blue exclamation mark to the southwest of the AM12 outpost at X670.0, Y773.6. Crouch down outside the window and listen to the conversation inside the building. After the conversation ends, you are given two options: > 1. Return to the quest giver. > 2. Confront her husband. Both options are highlighted with an objective marker. As such, go over and speak to either person to complete the mission. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Father's Burden [SDQSK] =============================================================================== Fast travel to Thurston Town and follow the blue exclamation mark to the eastern side of the area. Speak to the man leaning against the house here who is marked with the icon to begin the quest. After the conversation, head back over to the western side of town and speak with the man indicated by the objective marker. He’ll ask you to go over to the Crazy Cock Bar and play poker. To continue with the quest you need to play enough poker so that all the other players are at the table are eliminated. Once this has happened, return to the guy outside to complete the first part of the quest. Next, exit the gate and head to the small shack to the southwest of town. Sneak up and take down the guard indicated. Loot his body for the second item. For the final item, you need to head over to the east. Here you will find a group of four enemies hanging out in the middle of the road by a broken down car. Kill these enemies and loot the body indicated by the objective marker for the final item. Return all three items to the quest giver to complete the mission. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Home Delivered [SDQSL] =============================================================================== Look at your map and head over to the blue exclamation mark at X426.0, Y387.2. Again clear the enemies (three regulars, one sniper) before entering the shack marked with the objective marker and looting the diamonds. Once you have looted the two stashes of diamonds, return to the quest giver. After the short scene, kill the man that has appeared to complete the mission. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Trials of the Rakyat [SDQTB] =============================================================================== There are 12 Trials of the Rakyat throughout the two islands and they can be identified on the map by the red star icon on a white background. These are short score challenges that are linked with your friends, creating a local leaderboard. The challenges themselves can be begun by approaching a rock indicated by the star marker and interacting with it. Note that the rock itself will always display the name of your friend with the highest score on that particular challenge. Each of these trials has its own score thresholds and beating each of the different score benchmarks that the game sets will give you XP. Essentially the better you do, the more XP that you earn! The challenges are fairly self-explanatory so you should be able to figure them out without any issues and trying for that high score is just as easy as returning to the rock and interactcing with it once again. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: For beating a score on one of these trials, you will earn the achievement /trophy ‘Let the Trials Begin’. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here is a list of all of the trials and their the locations: > Hide and Seek (X425.6, Y769.3) > Dashing Assault (X474.9, Y693.1) > Transport Destruction (X756.5, Y746.0) > Point Blank (X759.8, Y698.9) > Overheat (X471.0, Y458.5) > Hostile Swamp (X465.7, Y359.2) > Bull's Eye (X632.0, Y594.7) > Frag Me Up (X647.2, Y763.9) > Furious Gun (X366.6, Y421.9) > Decimation Barrage (X360.8, Y324.8) > Bone Crusher (X582.8, Y752.8) > Lord of Firepower (X554.5, Y432.5) =============================================================================== =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Wanted Dead Quests [SDQTC] =============================================================================== There are 24 Wanted Dead quests scattered across the two islands of FarCry 3. The supply drops have you in a vehicle which you need to need to race to a specified location within a strict time limit. Flares will show you where to go the entire way, so as long as you follow these and don't crash too much, you should be able to conquer the lot of them without any real issues. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: For completing your first supply drop quest, you will earn the achievement/trophy ‘Road Trip’. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There are 19 supply drops in the game. Fortunately there are ways to alleviate this kind of feeling. We can do that by unlocking fast travel points by capturing enemy outposts and we can also go about activating all of the radio towers to reveal the map to make navigation much easier. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Radio Towers [FTVMA] =============================================================================== Across the two islands that comprise the world of Farcry 3 you will come across 18 radio towers. Disabling the jamming devices atop each radio tower performs a couple of functions, firstly you will be able to receive weapons for free from the in-game shops, additionally disabling them acts kind of like the viewpoints in Assassin’s Creed games in that they will reveal the surrounding area on your map, finally revealing the map will also unlock and reval nearby supply drop side-quests. Handy! The towers themselves are easy enough to climb up. If you ever get stuck, look for hanging ropes from the level above indicating a ledge you can climb up. Heres a list of the weapons that become free once you liberate the specified number of towers. Note that the Bushman (Signature Weapon) is only unlocked for purchse when you get all 18 towers so you will still need ot buy it if you want it. > 01 Tower - 6P9 (Pistol), STG90 (Assault Rifle) > 02 Towers - Skorpion (SMG), AK47 (Assault Rifle), Repair Tool (Special) > 03 Towers - SVD (Sniper Rifle), Recursive Bow > 04 Towers - 1887 (Shotgun), PKM (LMG) > 05 Towers - A2000 (SMG), M133 (Shotgun), Flamethrower (Special) > 06 Towers - M700 (Sniper Rifle) > 07 Towers - U100 (LMG), Flare Gun (Special) > 08 Towers - F1 (Assault Rifle), GL94 (Launcher) > 09 Towers - MP5 (SMG) > 10 Towers - MS16 (Assault Rifle) > 11 Towers - 44 Magnum (Pistol) > 12 Towers - D50 (Sniper Rifle), Vector 45 ACP (SMG), > 13 Towers - SPAS 12 (Shotgun), ACE (Assault rifle) > 14 Towers - BZ19 (SMG), MKG (LMG) > 15 Towers - P416 (Assault rifle), Z93 (Sniper Rifle) > 18 Towers - Bushman (Signature Weapon) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: For activating 9 Radio Towers, you will earn the achievement/trophy ‘Full Bars’. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- =============================================================================== =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Outposts [FTVMB] =============================================================================== Throughout your adventures in Far Cry 3 you will encounter enemy outposts. These are essentially small enemy bases occupied by a number of bad guys. By eliminating the enemies in each camp, you will be able to unlock a new fast travel point to help you get around the map quicker. Additionally, capturing these outposts will also give you access to new side-missions, hunter quests, supply drops and Wanted: Dead quests. You can easily locate outposts in a couple of ways. Firstly, when in enemy hands the outposts will have a column of smoke above it which you can spot from a mile away. Additionally they will have a red/yellow flag floating above them. Note that if you approach the outposts recklessly, the enemies will set off alarms which will bring in re-enforcements which will make capturing the base a little tricker so its best to take out those alarms or remain undetected! Capturing these outposts will give you a base reward of 500XP. If you can take over the base without the alarm being activated, the base XP reward will jump up to 550XP and if you can capture the outpost without being detected at all, you can earn a massive 1500XP. I found the easiest way to capture these outposts without being detected is to purchase a sniper rifle and head to a vantage point and pick off all the enemies whilst breaking line of sight when enemies look your way. You can still head into bases and take out eneemies one by one if you feel like a bit of a challenge, its just needlessly complicated to do so! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: For capturing all 34 outposts, you will earn the achievement/trophy ‘Island Liberator’. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Below I have listed each of the outposts, the enemy forces you will encounter and a vantage point from which you should be able to tag all of the hostiles in the area. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== North Island Outposts [FTVNI] =============================================================================== Amanaki Outpost ------------------------- This outpost is taken over during the main campaign storyline mission 'Secure the Outpost'. There are 20 of these and fortunately, they are quite easy to find and are all essentially tied into capturing outposts from enemey forces. Once an outpost has been captured, you are able to enter the outpost's safe room. In here you will find a automatic weapon shop and in some of the outposts on a table or bench nearby you will find a flashing laptop. Interacting with these will have Jason acquire a memory card. The memory cards can be found in the following safe houses once they have been liberated: > Amanaki Outpost > Orphan Point > Northview Gas > Welshore Wrecker's Home > Cliffside Overlook > Rust Yard > Broken Neck Home > Hubert Shore Power > Old Mines > AM 12 > Kell's Boat Repairs > Camp Murder > Nat's Repairs > Satellite Communication Hub > Lazy Shore Marina > Longshore View > Maw Docks & Repairs > North Krige Crest > Spine Ridge Site > Bridge control ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: For collecting all 20 memory cards, you will earn the achievement/trophy ‘Memory To Spare’. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- =============================================================================== =============================================================================== =============================================================================== ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ************************************** ****************************************** *** FAR CRY 3 CO-OPERATIVE MODE GUIDE *** [MPCOP] ****************************************** ************************************** =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Ready or Not [MPCOA] =============================================================================== ----------------------- Part 1: The chase begins ----------------------- Follow the beach around the corner and kill the two pirates hanging out here. This is going to alert their friends in the distance. Work your way up to the next objective marker using the rocks provided as cover. Eliminate all of the enemies around the base of the raised wooden platform and on the ridge to the left. Continue pressing forward, killing enemies as you go until you take a dirt path left up and off the beach. As you move along the path, you will find a pirate village. Eliminate the 4-5 enemies hanging around here and as you approach the objective marker on the far side of the village another group of enemies will run down the path from the objective marker to attack. Defend yourself using the village buildings as cover and when it is safe to do so proceed down the path to the next area. You’ll now need to eliminate the enemy presence in the camp here (there are 10-12 of them running around). Once the complete message pops up, run over and open the door marked by the objective marker. ----------------------- Part 2: Friends in Small Places ----------------------- As you start, head over and grab the syringes inside the small hut. After you have them, pull out your repair tool and help restore the boat. Once the boat has been restored to full health, jump back to the dock it is moored to and you will need to now defend it against several waves of attackers They will essentially come from every angle on the land, so be sure to stay in cover and eliminate them as they approach using the mini-map as a guide to determine which enemies need to be dealt with first. Do not allow enemies a direct line of fire on the boat for too long or they will destroy it! After a few minutes, an enemy boat will show up, so quickly dispatch the driver and machine gunner before mopping up any remaining pirates on the land. Once they are all dead, this part of the chapter will be complete. ----------------------- Part 3: Cat and Mouse ----------------------- Once the boat has left, cruise over to the objective marker and continue through the path here. As you reach the far end, kill the enemies here and continue down the hill for a short way before taking cover. There is a pair of snipers in the distance on the opposite side of the lake here. Use the rocks and debris to the left of the buildings on your side of the river as cover to safely cross to the other side. Clear out the enemy forces that come to greet you and slowly work your way towards the village marked with the objective marker clearing enemies as you go. When you reach the far end, mop up any remaining baddies. ----------------------- Part 4: Follow that Car ----------------------- At this point you will run into your first competition section. Here each player is given a vehicle and needs to race around the area, picking up bombs and then driving them over to the objective marker. Points are given for bomb delivery, jumps and for collecting the sparkling yellow dust around the place. Once 5 bombs have been delivered to the target, the competition segment will be complete. The player with the most points at the end wins and gets a tidy XP bonus as a reward. ----------------------- Part 5: The Best Defense ----------------------- Follow the road around to the left. Clear the buildings here and then continue onto the bridge. Work your way across to the far side of the river. Note that in this area you will encounter dogs and chargers who will attack you with machetes – these are 1 shot downs in co-op so be sure to kill them as soon as you see them coming! Once you reach the far side of the river, eliminate the enemies in the immediate area. We’ll now have to blow up the bridge we just crossed. Have one player go and pick up the explosive and carry it over to the objective marker on the bridge whilst the remaining players escort the explosive carrier, focusing fire on the bridge and eliminate enemy reinforcements as they arrive. Once the first bomb is planted, retreat to the far side of the river and repeat the process. Note that a heavy will appear during the second planting section. Once both bombs are planted, run over to the detonator for a short scene. ----------------------- Part 6: To Catch a Captain ----------------------- Follow the road to the north and continue forward until you reach another small pirate village. Eliminate the hostile presence here. Continue along the road a little further to find a guard tower and a number of enemies at the entrance to a larger enemy base. Watch out for the dog here. Work your way to the right, using cover to take out the enemies on machine guns turrets in the windows. When you reach the water, work your way over to the dock, killing enemies as you go and attempt to take out the RPG gunner and the ground infantry here. Cross the dock to the fuel depot, mop up any remaining enemies and kill the flamethrower heavy that shows up. We’ll now have to go and defend the nearby generator until your boat arrives. Note that whilst defending, you are able to repair any damage done with the repair tool. Watch out for boats with machine gunners and a heavy that shows up towards the end of the wave. Other than that it’s just a few waves of regulars that shouldn’t give a good team any trouble at all. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: For completing this mission, you will earn the achievement/trophy ‘Here we come’. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Sidetracked [MPCOB] =============================================================================== Coming soon! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: For completing this mission, you will earn the achievement/trophy ‘Return to Sender’. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Overboard [MPCOC] =============================================================================== Coming soon! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: For completing this mission, you will earn the achievement/trophy ‘Rocking the Boat’. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Lights Out [MPCOD] =============================================================================== Coming soon! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: For completing this mission, you will earn the achievement/trophy ‘Hide and seek’. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Rush Hour [MPCOE] =============================================================================== Coming soon! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: For completing this mission, you will earn the achievement/trophy ‘Late Night Pick-up’. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Payback [MPCOF] =============================================================================== Coming soon! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: For completing this mission, you will earn the achievement/trophy ‘Getting Even’. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- =============================================================================== =============================================================================== =============================================================================== ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ************************************ **************************************** *** FAR CRY 3 ACHIEVEMENT/TROPHY GUIDE *** [ACHMT] **************************************** ************************************ =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Story Achievements/Trophies =============================================================================== The following 26 achievements/trophies will all come with story progression, so as long as you finish the game these should be pretty much un-missable. Thankyou far all that read this far, if you are interested in donating, my Paypal address is listed below, if not, why not send me an email or join my Facebook page and give me a shout out!
