Basics

Health Meter

Each character's HUD consists of a number of square blocks that represent the character's health meter. Each square is slowly depleted upon attack, more or less depending on the damage of the attack. Fully depleted attacks can only be restored by eating a health tablet, but partially depleted squares will naturally regenerate after a few moments of respite.

Dying State

When a players health is completely drained, that player enters a dying state and a bar will appear. Any enemy attack sustained while in dying state will kill the player, but if the player should live until the bar fills they will automatically return to a standing with no life on their health meter. If the player should be attacked before healing again, they will automatically die instead of entering dying state again. The good news is that while in dying state, the player can still shoot enemies to protect themselves while they wait for their partner to rescue them.

Reviving Allies

Because the player can die instantly after being revived from dying state, due to no health, the reviver has the option to feed them Healing Tablets from their own supply by pressing R2/RB. More than one herb can be fed through this manner until they are fully restored or there are no more tablets.

Mixing Herbs

New to Resident Evil 6 is Health Tablets. While the player still finds herbs throughout the game, they can not be used directly to heal you. Instead, the player must convert them into tablets. Tablets, which are not part of the characters inventory, can then be used one at a time to heal one of the players health blocks. The number of tablets currently available is visible on the HUD and the player can hold up to 12-17.

Advanced

Dashing

In some cases the player may wish to run away or to someplace quickly via dashing. While holding the L stick to run, hold X/A to dash. Besides simply getting somewhere fast, the follow effects are a benefit of dashing:
  • The character will automatically climb over and obstacles
    • The character can perform a dash attack by hitting R1/RT just before impact
    • The character can perform a slide by pressing L1/LT when ready

On Your Back

If a player wishes to drop to their back for any reason, such as crawling through, they can do so several ways.
  • With a weapon out, via L1/LT, press back on the L stick and tap X/A (this will cause the player to jump back onto their butt and is a great way to dodge attacks)
    • Doing the same as above, except pressing forward
    • While Dashing, slide and continue to hold L1/LT to stay on your back

Cover

The player has the ability to take cover on any flat surface, large or short, to avoid fire by holding L1/LT. While in cover, pressing X/A will cause the character to stand or crotch and using the left stick will move the player while staying against the wall. If the player presses the left stick into an open area, the character will duck out of cover and be ready to fire. While this can be great in concept, you may find that you take cover when you least want to.

Fall Recovery

When a character is knocked down due to bulletfire, the player can tap X/A to roll and recover and avoid the delay of actually falling completely.

Game Difficulty

There are a total of four difficulty modes available in RE6. The following is a lost of changes that are made, the harder the difficulty:
  • Increases enemy walk/run speed
    • Decreases time before downed enemies rise
    • Increases frequency of enemy attacks
    • Increases the number of hits in a multi-hit attack
    • Decreases chance of dazing an enemy with shots
    • Decreases time of the dazed effect inflicted by gunshots & Flash Grenades
    • Increased number of accurate shots fired by armed enemies and decreases the time between shots
    • Increases the chance of J'avo mutation
    • Increases the speed of grapple attacks and the number of hits delivered
    • Decreases the time a Rasklapanje stays immobilized after defeat of all body parts

Prelude

Before you can play any of the campaign modes, you will first need to finish the Prelude, which is basically a Tutorial chapter.

After the unknown individuals are blown up and the one individual wakes, look around with the R stick. You will be prompted to tap X/A to pull the unconsious woman to safety where it is revealed that the unknown male is, in fact, Leon S. Kennedy and the woman is Helena Harper.

Continue along the path and when prompted to, hit X/A to check the door and grab the pipe.

The new indicator type, that you may not have encountered in other games, is a circle with highlighted areas around a button prompt. As the indicator reaches the highlighted area, hit the appropriate key to succed. You can skip a highlighted area with no negative effect to take your time when there are multiple highlighted areas.

Break open the door, by using the prompts, and head through the next room to find a bunch of corpses and an area with a crashed jeep.

When you have control, head to the backseat door of the jeep to retreive a Green Herb and follow the instructions to heal Helena.

When the zombie arrives, you will learn more about QTE's (quick time events). The first two prompts will require you to rotate the L stick in a circular motion (direction does not matter and sometimes using your palm is faster than your finger), while the final one is simply hitting R1/RT.

QTE's are often prompted in relation to enemies attacks or event actions. Sometimes failing a QTE will result in death, while others will simply cause damage to you.

As you continue you will notice that most doors require you to press X/A to open them, but others require O/B. The O/B ones usually indicate story progression that both partners (in multiplayer) need to agree on and should usually only be approached once you have cleared an entire area.

As you reach the bridge, hop over the railing and make your way through the mass or zombies, you do not need to kill them all. Make a path until a cutscene and when you have control, do as the game indicates and hold down X/A as you use the L stick to Dash in any direction (in this case away from death and onto a helicopter).

Don't set down the controller since you are going to have some QTE's starting with rotating the L stick stick to kick off a zombie and ending with dodging a falling structure with X/A.

Head through the double doors and watch the ending and get The Longest Night achievement/trophy.

.

Leon & Helena's Campaign

Leon and Helena's Campaign is much closer the the traditional games, with direct homages to previous installments.

Although a great campaign for beginners, many may find it boring for the first chapter or two. If you find you are getting bored of the game due to this, I suggest you go play the more intense campaigns of Jake or Chris and come back to Leon's later.

Chapter 1

.

Campus - Visitor's Area

June 29, 2013 / Tall Oaks, USA

Watch the cutscene, which many may recognize from the game demo. Because you can not run or shoot, there is no reason to look around for much unless you want to hear some extra information and observations. Make your way to the waypoint and open the door to the reception hall and then make your way down the stairs. When you reach the bottom you will get a scene and gain the ability to run and fire. There is nothing to find or do yet, so simply run after the shadow through the kitchen and into a storage cabinet.

After the cutscene, do not follow Robert and head behind the computer to check the open storage cabinet for your first Serpent Emblem.

While emblems do nothing in game, collecting many unlocks new skills and collectibles.

Make your way through the reception hall to a door on the other side and head through. Instead of following Robert, head up the nearby stairs to find a First Aid Spray and then go back downstairs and continue to follow Robert until you find Liz. Now navigate your way back to the elevator.

Elevator: As Leon

  • When the power goes out, Liz will eat her dad and attack Leon. Use the L stick to shake Liz off and when she goes for Helena shoot her.

Elevator: As Helena

  • When Liz attacks Leon, fire at her to force her off and then fend off her attacks by rotating the L stick.

As the elevator doors open you will be swarmed with zombies. Since the handgun isn't useful for crowd control it is best to use the new melee system that allows you to conserve ammo at the risk of taking damage if hit. Knock over the majority of enemies and kill any that do not die and then make your way around the garage. There are enemies gathered in the center that you can avoid, but the car hood also has 9mm Ammo. When you are ready head to the back right corner, from the elevator, and open the door.

Inside the campus building, start by looking on the floor nearby for 9mm Ammo and then make your way up the stairs. Follow the pathway to a door and enter the auditorium where you will draw the attention of some zombies. Dispatch the enemies and check the aisle to the upper level that was blocked for a Green Herb. Take the exit on the lower level to continue.

The hallway ends next to a set of doors that when opened leads to an enemy attack you can't avoid. Quickly rotate the L stick and knock it off before it eats your face and then proceed inside where two more zombies await. Check the desk aisles for 9mm Ammo and the back corner for a Green Herb before moving on.

Run down the staircase and use a stealth attack to kill the unaware zombie, but beware of the one playing perma-dead on the floor. Grab the 9mm Ammo and a Green Herb and head down the hallway into another classroom with two more zombies, Incendiary Grenades x2, Red Herb and 9mm Ammo. As you leave, turn left and kill another hoard of zombies before exiting into the courtyard.

.

Campus - Courtyard

The courtyard is a nice open area where you freely run around killing some lone zombies.

Areas of interest:

  • To the left or where you enter is a zombie behind a counter and 9mm Ammo x2
  • Left of the security gate that you can not open is a Green Herb and Red Herb

Examining the security gate informs you that you will need to head to the staff building. Enter the building and grab the 9mm Ammo x2 and a Green Herb before you examine the door and chaos ensues. The trick in this fight is to keep from getting cornered or having a zombie get you from behind. Keep moving up and down the hall, shooting and melee combating the enemies as they enter. When a crowd forms, hit up on your d-pad to equip an Incendiary Grenade and use it. When Hunnigan manages to hack the security door you will automatically be forced from the hall, so make sure to get the skill points and ammo as it drops. As the door closes you will gain control and have to shoot the zombies holding it open or hold the door close by rotating the left stick.

This area is secure on the way in, so grab the 9mm Ammo on the nearby bench, if you didn't during the event, and head toward the other door. The desk drawers contain items in this area, so make sure to check them for 9mm Ammo x2 and a Serpent Emblem. Enter the back room and find the Campus Keycard, as well as a not so dead zombie. In fact, all the corpses we saw as we entered are now zombies, so be careful as you exit the building.

Back in the hallway of doom, slowly head forward to encounter more zombies. Take them out with grenades or the fire extinguishers to save ammo and then make your way to the security gate.

Continue forward, tripping the metal detector and triggering the alarm. The enemies behind the gate are harmless, but beware of the zombies inside the building. If you have an Incendiary Grenade, feel free to toss it at the gate and gather any items in reach, but do not waste your ammo. When you are ready, head through the doors at the end of the hall and book it to the police car.

As the zombies surround the car, look for the keys (or watch Leon do so) with the L stick and X/A. The correct location, a total movie cliché, is the visor. Grab the keys and start the car Heavy Rain style and make your way out of the college. In true Resident Evil 2/Leon style, you won't get far before crashing the police car and having to take an alternative route.

.

Underground

Head around the corners and break the crates for random items before heading through the door. Hop down and head left, the right leads to electrocution. Stick close to the walls and be prepared for QTE's, Square + X or X + A, that leads to instant death if failed.

When you reach the top of the track you will have to deal with zombie dogs who are fast moving. The best way to handle these is to counter by hitting R1/RT when the prompt comes up or quick shot them.

Gather the random items in crates by the bonfire and move on, watching out for another train. When you reach the end of the tunnel with zombies being electrocuted, enter the nearby doorway to continue.

Take your time heading down the steps and when your light goes out watch out for the zombie in front and behind you. Get the crate next to the sitting zombie and the ones by the door and proceed.

As you open the door, look right and under the train car for a Serpent Emblem. Stick to the right side of the tunnel, since there are two train tracks, and run past the zombie hoard. Switch to the left track, to safetly dodge the right train, and finish off any of the hoard still alive. Now, follow the trains path to a stop and examine the door.

Boost Helena up top and either wait for her to open it (as Leon) or unlock the door, but do not approach the corpses, as Helena.

Make your way through the train cars, watching out for reanimated zombies and when you reach the exit shoot the zombie swinging stupidly out of reach of you. Kill the nearby zombie who has its back to you and make your way up to the platform with some more crates.

You will likely get a few Remote Bombs from the crates, which should be a hint of things to come, so place one in front of the metal door and examine the button. Rescue the hysterical woman who opens the gate and is thankfully eaten as you back up and let the hoard move into your Remote Bomb. Set it off and then finish of whatever doesn't die (watch your back when you advance to the stairs). After another unaware zombie you will be in town.

.

The Town

As you head up the steps and into town you will be attacked by a zombie. Kill it and many others until you reach a man downed by a car. Assist in his release only to have a motorcyclist kill him and unleash all the zombies inside the nearby bus. Kill them and advance toward the hoard at the end of the street, making sure to stay behind the car ahead of you to avoid being shot by the armored police zombies.

Head into the alley to the left and ignore the hoard of zombies as you pass up and over them to the other side. Instead of using bullets, walk up to the unaware zombie and grab his leg for an instant kill and continue.

When you drop down and open the gate, the zombie who was shooting you from the other side will start to shoot again, aided by many other zombies with body armor. The best way to handle these guys is to use melee, since the armor protects most of their body. Hide behind the gate and let them move forward so you are not shot during combat.

Follow the street to another alley with some zombies and head up to push a container over and set off an alarm. Watch your back, as a crew of zombies will be coming up behind you on the ladder, and make your way onto the bus and drop off the other side.

As you make your way through the area you will be forced indoors, as all the crazy drivers are causing wreckages that can't be passed. Make your way through the bar and back alleys until you reach a locked door. You will need to backtrack to the family watching TV and take the Backdoor Key from the mother which will reanimate the son and the zombie in the hall.

Make your way into the alley, getting the Shotgun and ammo from the nearby crates before entering the building. The Shrieker will scream and call all nearby enemies to the party. Take out the zombies and let the Shrieker walk away, for now. When all the normal zombies are taken care of continue to another set of zombies before reaching a door.

Switch to your Shotgun and head through the door to the Shrieker. The weak spot on this guy is his throat, but be careful of his screams even upon death that cause damage.

In the small courtyard you'll need to head up the steps and vault Helena across the gap to unlock the gate.

Town: As Leon

  • After Helena is vaulted across, a hoard of zombies will attack from behind you and the street nearby. Stop the zombie behind you first and then shoot the explosive barrel on the street to take out the zombies neaby. Now, focus on the rest of the zombies as they make their way to your location.

Town: As Helena

  • If you are playing Helena, drop down and unlock the gate and then finish off any zombies.

When the coast is clear, head into the bar for a crate and a Serpent Emblem near the exit on a counter below the billboard.

As you enter the street a bunch of survivors will need your help. Head in and take out the enemies as you go, but when the Shrieker arrives get all the loot and then get out of the gas station area. Take out the enemies and make sure to pick up the loot until an ambulance crashes into the gas station and releases a bunch more armored zombies. Hold out until the game points out the exposed gas and then shoot it to destroy everything left. Now clear out any crates and follow the survivors to the gun shop.

.

Gun Shop

Start by gathering the First Aid Spray, Incendiary Grenade and 9mm Ammo x2 on the shelves throughout the area. Head to the right side of the shop and clear the zombies as they approach the windows or make their way inside the shop. Stop every once in a while to loot and replenish your ammo.

Eventually, one of the survivors will run outside and get himself turned into a Bloodshot zombie. These guys are stronger and have more life, so don't be afraid to switch to your Shotgun to kill it. Grab the 500 Skill Points he drops and you should notice that the cop has moved to the other side of the shop. This is a clue that you will need to start to focus on the other window as the zombies seem to change tactics and come from the other direction.

When the owner finally locks down the shop, kill any left over enemies and grab any loot you missed.

Upstairs, grab the Red Herb, 9mm Ammo, Remote Bomb, and 12-Gauge Shells from the couch, desk drawer, and counters. As the zombies start to pour in from the building next door, cover the windows to prevent them from getting inside.

Eventually, the owner will direct you into the next room where you can grab a Green Herb and 12-Gauge Shells x2 before the super-sized Whooper enters. Use any Remote Bombs or Incendiary Grenades you have and take this guy out and get his 2,500 Skill Points.

Follow the survivors upstairs, stopping in the storage closet for Incendiary Grenades x2, and make your way to the attic where a Remote Bomb awaits. Now, head out the door and prepare for another big fight.

Place that Remote Bomb you just found by the low fence to your right and then switch to a firearm to hold off the normal zombies as the Whooper makes it over the fence. When a crowd and/or the Whopper are over the Remote Bomb, blow it and finish off the rest of the fight with your Shotgun and Incendiary Grenades until the bus arrives.

Follow the old man through the gate and to the bus, where a cutscene occurs. When you have control again, focus on killing the Whopper by throwing grenades and using the Shotgun on his face until he lets go and you finish the chapter.

.

The Bus

When the chapter starts you will be pinned to the floor of the bus as zombies approach. Grab the 9mm Ammo x2 as you lay on your back and kill the zombies coming through the bus toward you. Keep shooting until the cutscene takes over.

.

Forest Cemetery

Make your way through the cemetary, avoiding the mud holes which you can fall into, and kill any zombies as they approach. Start by sticking to the right side of the map as the path goes north and curves right. Continue right, but before going north, find a fenced in tomb that you can open for 5,000 Skill Points. North and a little west is a hidden Serpent Emblem on an obelisk nearby.

Beware of the lightning, as this summons zombies directly on you and blinds/stuns you for a second.

Continue up the path north and hug the fence to the south when you go around a corner to the left. There is another tomb with a Green Herb inside that you should get when it is clear. Now head for the building the west and grab the Incendiary Grenade by the bed before opening the door and releasing the dog.

Follow the path back toward the bus, killing any dogs or zombies you encounter, to kill the dog holding the Cemetery Key. Now, make your way back to the cabin and take the bridge to a gate and open it.

As soon as you enter, you will be split from your ally.

Cathedral Grounds: As Leon

  • Take the first right and equip your Shotgun to take out a Shrieker. Continue around the corner and grab the Green Herb to the north by a locked building. Backtrack a little and take the first left where another Shrieker awaits. Kill it and make sure to watch your back for an incoming hoard before you continue to reach the Cathedral pathway to the north and regroup with Helena.

Cathedral Grounds: As Helena

  • There are no items on Helena's side, so make your way through the area to kill two Shriekers and reunite with Leon.

You might find it useful to know that you can go down the other players path and kill the two Shrikers on their side for more skill points. If you were playing Helena, go get the Green Herb on his side, as well.

When you are ready, head toward the cathedral courtyard and gather the Incendiary Grenades x2 on the benches and the random items from the crates. You may also want to kill any of the zombies that approach the gate to get some items off them, but it's not required. Now approach the cathedral doors and get ready for a fight.

You will now be forced into a battle with multiple enemy types, including Shriekers and Bloodshot zombies. Keep moving and don't be afraid to use your Incendiary Grenades when they are in a group. When the people inside announce the door is unlocked head for it asap.

.

Cathedral

Start by grabbing the Green Herb and First Aid Spray on the pews and then check the rooms nearby for crates. Once you think the first floor is clear, head to the broken ladder to the right of the altar and grab the Madonna of Happiness before tossing Helena up. If you are Helena, kick down the nearby ladder for Leon.

On the second floor, head to the front of the building and look up at the rose window to find a Serpent Emblem. Now check the room nearby for the Madonna of Charity and the other side for some crates and a Green Herb. Head to the far corner and place one of the Madonna's on the stand to automatically read the inscription and then place it at the same time as your partner.

Back downstairs, enter the new room and pull the lever.

Hidden Passage: As Helena

  • When you pull the levers a statue with a laser-sight crossbow will appear. Think of this as the arcade game Whack-a-Mole. As the statue appears, smack the button at its base to send it away.

Hidden Passage: As Leon

  • After Helena clears her statue, a statue will appear on your side as well. Do the same thing.

Enter the next room and pull the lever. You will now be engaged in a much more intense version of Whack-a-Mole, in which multiple statues come out. Dash to avoid being shot and watch out for getting locked on and shot when you are hitting a button. After a few rounds you can move on.

Where is that laser coming from you ask? Well, it is a hint at the next set of puzzle. Both you and your partner must aim your laser sights at the dishes to light it up and continue.

In the next room, follow the stairs all the way to the top and around a corner and look down for the next dish to continue. As you and your partner slowly get closer to each other, look across at your partner and then up to aim at a dish on their side of the room to open the door nearby.

Once again, the dishes are on the opposite side of the area and up in the right corner. Aim at them to unlock the door, reunite with your ally and grab the Madonna of Sorrow before heading upstairs.

The key to the next area is to shoot all five bells, but before you do anything else make sure to grab the Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle from the corpse in the corner. Now head out either side and shoot the 3 large bells with your handgun. The final two bells are spinning around on the weather vane above two of the steeples. The one on the right can probably be shot with the handgun, while the other is best done with the Sniper Rifle. Once all 5 have been shoot, grab the Madonna of Grief and head back down the steps to the cathedrals third floor.

Head to the other side of the area and clear the crates before you and your partner place the Madonna's on the stands and unleash a deadly attack on the civilians below.

Boss: Lepotitsa

This guy is a deadly enemy that goes around infecting the survivors with gas and turning them into zombies. You will need to stay a decent distance from this guy to survive, so use your Sniper Rifle for most of the fight.

Watch your back from turned zombies and when the Lepotitsa kneels you can go in for some unique melee attacks or stay away and switch to the Shotgun. After it takes out the first floor it will go upstairs to do the same. Stay on the first floor and hit it with your rifle whenever it stops.

After it is done upstairs it will drop back down and come after you. Keep moving and getting shots in whenever you can while trying to keep away.

When the Lepotitsa dies, grab the Underground Keycard. If you managed to save at least two women you will also get the achievement/trophy I Prefer Them Alive and also a Red Herb and Green Herb. When you are ready, descend the steps and examine the lighted panel to use the keycard and open a room with barrels and a chest of 4,000 Skill Points.

.

Underground Lab

Head out of the room and kick the blue file cabinets open for some random items and head up to the machine on the upper platform where you can input three numbers to unlock some chambers nearby. Each cell number is made up of ONE of each of the numbers and no number is duplicated.

The rooms are as follows:

  • Room 201: Contains two file cabinets of random items unless you open it after room 102, when it will have a zombie with a liquid nitrogen bottle.
  • Room 012: Contains some zombies and nothing else!
  • Room 102: Contains a Shrieker which will call other zombies to the area.
  • Room 210: Opens the gate to proceed.

When you go into the next room for more file cabinets and more rooms:

  • Room 012: Contains two zombies and the Room 201.
  • Room 201: Contains a Green Herb, 5,000 Skill Points, a First Aid Spray, and some file cabinets.
  • Room 102: Conatins a Shrieker and a Green Herb.
  • Room 120: Contains a zombie that usually turns into a Bloodshot.
  • Room 021: Opens the exit to continue.

Head down the hall and open the door at the end of the hall to reveal a little more about Helena. As you head down the next hall the zombie will reanimate and must be killed. After its death Helena, if you are playing as Leon, runs off ahead with no warning into the lab.

Head past the lab and around the corner and enter the first room on your left and destroy the file cabinets and the poor zombie who died on the toilet. Before leaving make sure to drain the sink and shoot the Serpent Emblem. Continue forward and enter the women's bathroom on the right with a Green Herb and a Shrieker, if you empty the sink.

The Serpent Emblem actually appears in the first sink that you drain, even if this is the girls bathroom. The Shrieker will appear in the second sink.

Continue through the door at the end of the hall and kill the zombies inside before breaking the file cabinets and heading through the door on the left wall. Enter the door directly on front of you and watch the cutscene. Afterwards, hug the right wall to a passcode machine and enter the code: 201.

In the next area there are three levers that you need to pull in order to advance. Start by heading to the left and down into a room with electric generators buzzing on the floor and a lever nearby. Pull it to raise the gate near the entrance and backtrack, killing the zombies, to the room with another lever and some file cabinets. Pulling the lever in this room will separate you from Helena, or Leon, and you will need to jump down into the underpass to exit.

The underpass should have a few zombies and a trapped zombie dog. Dispatch them and make your way to the other side of the passage and climb up the ladder to reunite with your partner.

Head back into the room where a platform has dropped down to reach another lever and some zombies. Kill the hoard however you want, although electrocuting them works pretty well, and pull the second lever.

Head back to the stairs and look up on top of the new platform to shoot some zombies before vaulting Helena on top.

Underground Lab: As Helena

  • Info Coming Soon

Underground Lab: As Leon

  • Switch to your Sniper Rifle and support Helena as she pulls the final lever and releases a Bloodshot zombie, but don't forget to watch your own back. When the lever is pulled a hoard of zombies will arrive on the new platform near the second lever, so make sure to kill the group before heading over to Helena and pulling the twin levers.

Follow the path through a large warehouse and kill the zombies and Shriekers as you approach the door. The zombies will continue to enter, so head to the hatch by the exit and use the Partner Action to escape the area.

.

Primitive Altar Entrance

The location is mostly empty, so smash the nearby urns and make your way quickly through the level. When you reach a section where you must crawl under some beams, head around the corner and look for the Serpent Emblem behind a breakable vase before continuing on until you finally find Deborah and learn more about who she and Helena are.

.

Primitive Altar

Primitive Altar: As Helena

  • Since you are carrying Deborah, you can not access your inventory or hold weapons. You can, however, headbutt and kick enemies and crates. Use this method to protect yourself as you follow Leon through the level.

Primitive Altar: As Leon

  • As Helena carries Deborah Leon will have to handle all of the enemies. Start by heading down the new pathway and grabbing the Green Herb after you jump down.
  • Keep going across the bridges and side areas that are filled with zombies, making sure to break open and urns you find. When your reach the area where you have to push a container, push it and enter the next area and push another container. Make sure to watch your back, as enemies come rushing in from behind.

Continue to the altar where you will be split up again.

  • Head down the path and break the urns before you vault Ada over the gap and receive the ring. Continue to a container that Helena should move once you examine it and the vault Ada again which leads to the Deborah fight.

Boss: Deborah

Keep focusing on Deobrah as you move around to avoid the zombies. When she is on the upper ledge, snipe her glowing tentacles until she drops or jumps down herself. When she is on the lower level, use your Shotgun or the TNT barrels and continue to focus on her glowing tentacles.

If she falls over onto her back and extends one tentacle in the air you can run in for a unique attack where you melee the tentacle. When she sustains enough damage she will collapse the floor.

.

Altar Corridor

Altar Corridor: As Leon

  • Follow the linear path down the structure, killing any zombies and breaking the urns as you do. When you reach the bottom, turn the crank to move the mine cart and hop inside.

Altar Corridor: As Helena

  • Jump in the cart and cover Leon as he makes his way down the ramps. When you reach the bottom, you'll have to wait for Leon to hop in to continue.

The mine cart will roll down the path and pass a bunch of barricades. You can either duck with the QTE's or shoot the barricades with your Shotgun to destroy them before you reach them.

When Deborah hops on boards, continue to focus your attacks on her tentacles while avoiding her attacks by droping to the ground on your back or ducking. The mine cart continues to barrel down the tracks as you approach some TNT. Shoot the TNT before you reach it and continue dodging, shooting until the horrible roller coaster ends.

When you land there are two things going on: Deborah and Helena are trapped on a broken down bridge and Ada is dangling from the ledge.

Altar Corridor: As Leon

  • Run up to Ada and use the Partner Action to rescue her and then use the Shotgun or Sniper Rifle to shoot Deborah's tentacles, before the structure breaks and she and Helena fall to their deaths, to end the level.

Altar Corridor: As Helena

  • Aim for the glowing tentacle and shoot it.

Altar Corridor

Turn around and leave the broken bridges behind to enter a large circular room and scan the upper level to shoot a Serpent Emblem before pulling the levers and entering the Catacombs.

.

Catacombs

Head into the catacombs and break the urns as you go to reach some stairs. Before heading up, open the two tombs on either side for 2,000 Skill Points and a very unhappy snake. Head up the steps and follow the path while looking for the tomb on the left hand side that has the Assault Rifle RN and an urn of ammo nearby.

As you head down the steps you will trigger a trap of spinning blades. You need to Dash (L stick + X or L stick + B) and then hit L1/LT just before your reach the blades. If you don't want to risk death, get on your butt by holding L1/LT and hitting X to get down and then crawl forward. Continue to hold L1/LT, instead of crawling forward, and use the blades as a defense against the incoming enemies. When they are dead, crawl forward and continue along the path until you reach a wall of fire.

Catacombs: As Leon

  • Vault Helena up the broken ladder and while you wait for her to turn off the flames watch your back for zombies. If you want to get a unique medal, you need to kill the zombie off to the right that is turning a crank WITHOUT sending Helena through the tunnel.

Catacombs: As Helena

  • Crawl through the tunnel on your back and be careful of zombies in the tunnel with you. When you exit the other side, drop down and kill the zombie turning the crank.

Once the flame has stopped, cross the bridge and examine the doorway with serpents and when you can, place the ring to start a wave of enemies.

Remember that flame trap, well you can use it too. Head to the right and start the crank to ignite the flame. You will probably only want to crank it three times to kill the approaching zombies before ones behind you start to appear. Switch to an Incendiary Grenade and take them out and switch back to the crank for another 2 goes before you check your back again. Eventually, they should all die and a scene the indicates the door is unlocked will occur.

Follow the path into the water and stick to the right to find a dry area with some urns and a Serpent Emblem inside a tomb. Proceed forward to a gate and vault Helena up by the tomb.

Catacombs: As Leon

  • Rush back to the land area, because zombies in water are hard to see and kill. When you reach the land the zombies should come in behind you. Kill them and wait for Helena to open the gate.
  • Just as you reunite with Helena you will be split up again and she will be in trouble. Pull out your Sniper Rifle and cover her until all three zombies are dead and then use the nearby crank to lift the gate for her.
  • Continue and slide under the spinning blades and you will be stuck between two traps. Shoot the crank operator off to the left and examine the new crank machine, which will begin a wave of enemies behind you for the crank.
  • Once all the enemies are dead and you have the crank, use it to reunite with Helena.

Catacombs: As Helena

  • Crawl through the tunnel on your back and be careful of zombies in the tunnel with you. When you exit the other side, turn the crank and let Leon through.
  • Just as you reunite with leon you will be split up again and surrounded by enemies. Rush to land and turn around to take out the enemies.
  • Once you are clear, turn the crank for Leon. Wait for Leon to turn his crank and then make your way to the tombs, with 5,000 Skill Points and a snake.
  • Wait for Leon to kill the spike turning zombie and then advance. Jump on a container, where you can snipe from to support Leon.
  • When Leon grabs the crank and opens your gate, head through and kill the zombie on your side before opening the final gate.

Before heading to the double levers, you may want to backtrack down Helena's path, if you were not playing her, to grab any loot that dropped, and two tombs that can be opened for 5,000 Skill Points and a snake.

.

Cavern

The enemies in this cavern continue to jump down from ledges above, so there is no point in sticking in one area too long.

Follow the linear path and lower the drawbridge, when you have a chance, and continue forward. You will eventually come to a fight with a Shrieker and some Bloodshots that you should use any grenades on.

When you start to pass over wooden bridges, look ahead and check if there is a Whooper there. If there is, set a Remote Bomb down at the end of the bridge and snipe him, causing him to barrel down the bridge and into your bomb.

When you finally reach the dead end, vault Helena over the gap.

Cavern: As Leon

  • As soon as Helena is across the gap, the platform collapses and she is attacked by some zombies. Snipe them off her before they drag her down into oblivion and then cover her as she makes her way through the area.
  • When the Whooper appears, take a few shots on him, but watch your back for a few zombies that drop in on you. Once you have dispatched them, cover Helena again until she lowers the bridge and you are reunited.

Cavern: As Helena

  • Crawl up slowly, but only out of reach of the zombies, so that when you reach the top and fall down you are not swarmed by zombie.
  • On the other side, equip a Remote Bomb and set it down in the path of the Whopper that is rushing your way. Kill it and then continue.
  • Zombies will come from behind you, which turn into Bloodshots. Keep moving forward and jump over the gap to the drawbridge and turn the crank when it is clear.

Hop down and cross two narrow bridges and then look in the distance for a Serpent Emblem. Shoot it, kill the enemies that drop in the area, and contune onward. Keep heading down the linear path until your reach a set of twin cranks that will need to be cranked, after you kill a wave of enemies that inturrupts you.

As the bridge lowers, the structure you are on collapses and you land on not-so-solid ground. Dash through the area, avoiding enemies, until you reach a boulder that you and your partner need to push to jump across to solid ground.

.

Underground Water Channel

The ground might be solid, but the water from above comes crashing down and sweeps you off your feet and down a tunnel. When you finally exit the water tunnel, you are stuck underwater with no room for air.

Follow the path and stick close to the ceiling to look for air pockets. As you make your way through the area you will start to pass corpses, some of which spring to life and drain your air supply. Backtrack to a known air pocket, to be safe, or continue forward in the hopes of another air pocket soon. Either way, make your way to the end of the area, using the navigator if needed, and use the partner action to escape.

You are not safe yet though. The Brzak drags your team underwater for a few QTE's.

Boss: Brzak

The Brzak will charge you with its mouth open, exposing its tongue. Shoot the tongue while also picking up 9mm Ammo, when needed, and continue to attack him.

When Leon mentions to watch out, prepare to hit the QTE (Square + X or X + A) to dodge an attack.

Continue to fire until the screen slows down and the camera tilts up to a TNT Barrel. Shoot it to finish the battle and the chapter.

Airplane

June 30, 2013 / Waiyip, China

As soon as the cutscene ends you will be in a fight.

Boss: Lepotitsa

The confined space can make this fight seem deadly, but in fact it is easy to avoid the guy by running in a circle around the area to the right or left of the stairs and around to the other side.

If you get a good distance on the Lepotitsa, head to the right side of the pilot cabin and grab the Lightning Hawk for a great weapon against this guy. If you run out of ammo, grab the .50 Action-Express Magnum Ammo x2 on the right and left side of the area, just before the cockpit.

Keep running in circles while you aim for his head and stay out of arms length until he leaves.

Once you have control again, check the cockpit to learn that there is an issue with the pressure bulkhead and the bottom of the plane.

The shutter blocking the stairs to the lower cabins is now open, so take it and turn right and look under the shutter full of debris for a Serpent Emblem. Navigate your way through the main cabin and when the path splits around a room take the right path to 9mm Ammo before checking inside the room for a Green Herb.

Continue until you reach another room that has a Green Herb and then head out and down the steps to the cargo hold.

Start by getting the 5,000 Skill Points from the metal case and then check the glass cabinet nearby for a Green Herb and Serpent Emblem. To continue, head to the hatch door and follow the prompt to open it and proceed.

Before you do anything else, grab the First Aid Spray next to the red tanks and take note of the red box. When you are ready, head to the red valve and turn it to proeceed.

Boss: Lepotitsa

This time you don't want to shoot at the creature, but eject him from the plane. Start by hitting O/B to bring up the partner action menu and then hit up on the directional pad to set the AI to "Move In". This will cause the AI to be more aggressive and draw the enemy attacks while you pry open that red box and pull the lever to open the door and eject it from the plane.

Unfortunately, you are also almost ejected from the plane as well and need to crawl back into the cargo bay by pressing R1/RT and L1/LT back and forth. The key is to hold down one until the arrow on the next button goes up and then press the other. Doing this too fast will cause you to fall back and eventually die.

About half way up the ramp, watch for the QTE's to dodge a crate that goes flying off the plane and then continue to make your way back onboard.

Make your way back to the cockpit, killing all the turned passangers, and check the controls to continue.

Airplane: As Helena

  • Use grenades, melee combat, and anything else to keep the zombies away from Leon.

Airplane: As Leon

  • Leon takes the controls and you will need to complete a bunch of QTEs.
  • Once Hunnigan finishes explaining what you need to do, look up with the L stick to get a timed Sqaure/X QTE.
  • Following Hunnigan's orders, look right and examine the middle panel to grab the trottle and push Square/X repeatedly to complete the event.
  • The final event is completed by looking forward toward the controls and once again pressing Square/X rapidly to pull the steering wheel back.

In true Leon style, we crash.

.

Airplane Crash Site

Boss: Ustanak

The first round with this guy is straight forward.

Start by hitting the button on the forklift to the left to climb up to some crates and a garbage bin of explosive barrels. Push the bin over to drop the explosives and then lure Ustanak into them. There are more explosive barrels on the container further forward on the left that you will need to use as well.

Stay away from him, using the containers as a good way to keep out of range. If a party member is grabbed at any point, release them with a Partner Assist.

When he finally disappears, follow Jake and Sherry to the gate where you split up with your partner again.

Boss Fight: As Helena

  • Keep moving and don't waste your ammo on him. Also make sure to watch out for Ustanak's grenades that he begins to throw.

Boss Fight: As Leon

  • You and Sherry are split up from Jake and Helena with no way to get back. Check the area for some crates and then check the back of the bus for some prompts.
  • With Sherry's help, press Square/X repeatedly to open the engine panel and examine the engine and start it with a timed Square/X QTE. Don't rush yourself and let it skip over any that are next to each other, if needed.
  • Once the bus is restarted, Sherry will drive it through the gate and open a new area at the far end of the area with more containers full of explosive cansiters.

In the new area, check around for more crates of ammo and then examine the forklift to drop the plank and allow you to get up to even more containers full of explosive canisters. Using these, lure the Ustanak in for more damage until he is defeated. If you need more containers, jump across the gap from the platform to a conatiner near the bus.

.

Market

As you enter the area, stop just before you reach the chickens to turn the corner. Equip your Sniper Rifle and look up, over the nearby palettes to a shiny neon sign and a Serpent Emblem. Continue down the market and take a right down an alley and into a shop that has another Serpent Emblem sitting on the counter. Now make your way to the door at the end of the market for a cutscene.

The enemy that appears is unbeatable, so don't waste your ammo on it unless it corners you and keep moving.

Storage Key A

After the cutscene, head straight toward the seafood shop and in the right corner, behind all the counters, is a room with a Red Herb and 2,000 Skill Points.

Exit the seafood area and continue down the alley until you spot an electrified door. In order to shut off the power, head to the area to the left of the door and pull the lever.

Now head into the room and grab the Storage Key A while another Rasklapanje exits the vent nearby.

Storage Key B

Head to the other side of the market now, to an alley where the Storage Key B lies.

Once you have gotten it, look for the ladder where a dead body fell down and climb it to a gap where you can throw Helena over. If you are Helena, you will need to find and open the door that leads to the markets main street to allow Leon to get into the new area.

Storage Key C

Head to the new area that is opened by Helena and go to the back of the area where another door that requires Partner Action holds the final Storage Key C.

Instead of heading straight for the exit, exit the bathroom and head right to find a ladder that leads to a metal chest with 5,000 Skill Points. Once you have that, head for the exit and use the keys to proceed.

.

Inside the market shop, follow the path until Leon is seized by a Rasklapanje. If you are Helena, there is nothing you can do while Leon struggles. If you are Leon, rotate the L stick until you fill the bar, note that you will have to start over at one point, and then hit R1/RT as soon as the second prompt comes up or you will see what Leon's brains look like as they are spattered on the wall.

.

Medical Research Center

As you enter the building you will run into Ada Wong again, although she seems different. The door ahead is locked, so head down the stairs until you reach the long corridor with specimens on each side.

You will need to Dash through the room and when the laser is activated, slide under the corner and continue to the end of the hall.

If you make it to the elevator before the BSAA soldiers you are taken to room 01 and if you fail, you take the stairs to room 00.

Room 00

  • Break the crates outside the room and then head inside. As you enter the room, break open the crates and take the hint of equipping the Shotgun.
  • As Ada triggers the trap of floor mines, use your Shotgun to bounce them back toward the BSAA members or destroy them while protecting your partner so they can hack the control panel. If you do this before the BSAA members complete their end, you are rewarded with 5,000 Skill Points x2 and 4,000 Skill Points.

Room 01

  • Info Coming Soon

Whether you beat the BSAA members or not, follow Ada and don't let her get too far away or it's Game Over. Eventually, you will get a scene and learn who the BSAA members are before moving on.

After the scene, get the First Aid Spray from the room on the upper level and then break all the crates below for some juicy Magnum Ammo that hints at a boss fight. Now make your way to the double doors at the end of an alley to advance to a cutscene.

.

Train

After the cutscene, head through the train cars and gather the 9mm Ammo x2, 5.56 NATO Ammo, 12-Gauge Shells, and Red Herb and then climb up to encounter Simmons.

Boss: Simmons

Tactic 1:

  • Start with your Lightning Hawk and take a few shots until he turns human and run past. Simmons will change back into mutated form and follow you through the train. Keep at him with the Lightning Hawk and Sniper Rifle until he retreats to the top of the train. This is an indication that his tactics are going to change.

Tactic 2:

  • Simmons will now pursue you from either the top or the bottom of the train. You must use the levels to stay away from him while getting in shots. The best idea is to get on the top of the train and shoot at him as you retreat to one of the ends of the train to jump down when he is too close. Keep going back and forth between the two levels to avoid Simmons and you should be okay. If you are in need of ammo, check the train cars for plenty of supplies. Eventually, Simmons will play dead and use the opportunity to toss Leon to the other train.

Tactic 3:

  • As Leon, Simmons will chase after you on the other train car. Dash your way over the boxes, avoiding the stacks so you are not slowed down, and you will eventually jump back to the other train where you'll need to rapidly press X/A to climb up before Simmons attacks you.

Tactic 4:

  • Simmons will now run alongside the trian car and shoot at your with his tentacle/appendage. Switch to your Shotgun and grab the Green Herb at the front of the car as you shoot across the way at Simmons. When he prepares to shoot, get behind a panel to avoid his fire. Continue this until he moves to the back of the car and hops inside, which leads to a QTE of Square + X / X + A.

Tactic 5:

  • Watch and learn as Simmons derails another train with little effort. Make sure your Assault Rifle has max ammo and when Simmons charges the train, go all out in order to stumble him. If you fail, you will have to restart at the beginning of Tactic 4.

With Simmons down, walk forward as you listen to the BSAA soldiers nearby to end the chapter.

Port Area

After the scene, the streets will begin to fill with the infectious cloud of fog and kill anyone in its path, including you. You will need to follow the soldiers through the buildings to avoid the fog, while gathering items and shooting emblems.

Start by hugging the right wall into a small alley with a gate that you'l' need your partner to help you open. Once it is open, hug the right wall and follow a soldier inside the building before the fog consumes you.

The clothing shop has many valuable items, but your priority should be the Serpent Emblem on the top shelf on the right side of the shop. Once you shoot it, gather the 12-Gauge Shells, Red Herb and crates before running upstairs as zombies and fog make its way through the broken glass windows.

Head to the top of the stairs and break open the nearby crates while the soldier opens the door and then follow him down a corridor where a flood of zombies enters from a doorway nearby. Mow them down as you make your way to the end of the hall to open the door to make your way out of the building.

You will now get a short break as you ride through the town in the jeep. When the soldier stops to let you out, turn around and kill some zombies for the end game ranking and then make your way up and over the stack of vehicles to continue.

.

High-Rise Area

As you catch up the the events of the Prelude you will notice that a few things are different. For one, Helena is not hurt and you can stay in the area and kill the zombies without worry of the helicopter's bullets.

Start by killing the zombies in the open area and then make your way down the alley and through the building. In the back alley, where you healed Helena, kill the two BSAA soldiers with body armor, grab the Green Herb, and shoot the Serpent Emblem in the back of the other truck before you continue.

As you head down the stairs behind the alley a hoard of zombies will come running up. Throw a grenade or set a Remote Bomb to kill the mass and take out whatever is left as you continue forward.

You already know what is coming, so jump over the railing and make your way forward until you get the cutscene with the explosion and run for your life to reach the helicopter and use the L stick to kick the zombie off your leg.

Once again, Leon is behind the wheel so we will definately be crashing.

Helicopter: As Leon

  • Follow the prompts as follows: Tap Square/X, Timed R1/RT to shoot the zombie BSAA soldier, Rotate the L stick, Square + X / X + A to dodge the falling helicopter.

Helicopter: As Helena

  • Info Coming Soon

You should now be safe and sound on the ground floor of the Quad Tower.

.

Quad Tower Entrance

Start by shooting the Serpent Emblem on some shelves on the right side of the lobby and then break open the crates to restock any ammo. Head through the doors and over the railing for more Simmons action.

Boss: Simmons (T-REX Form)

In order to conserve ammo, start by finding the explosive barrels and lure Simmons near one with a few shots to his head. Once he is over the barrel, shoot it and he should turn to human form. Run in and shoot him a few more times until he kneels and then hit R1/RT to engage in a melee fight where you have to tap X/A quickly. Doing this a few times should get your through the first stage of the battle.

When the BSAA jeep shows up with turrets on the back, you automatically board and take position on the guns. Shoot Simmons' weak spots (the eyeball in his mouth, belly and back). When the jeep gets pinned focus on the eyeball in his mouth. Keep firing until the jeep is overturned and you are back on foot.

If there are no more explosive barrels in the arena, use Remote Bombs and Incendiary Grenades to force him into human form and get some damage in. Eventually, Simmons will pop a hole in the oil truck that you have wanted to shoot all battle, causing its contents to spill on the floor. Make sure Simmons is in the liquid before you shoot the oil to cause massive damage and hopefully turn him human again.

If this does not kill him, continue to use your grenades and Remote Bombs until he goes down.

Just when you throught you were safe, the elevator collapses and you are forced to climb the cables. Like the plane climbing, you need to switch between R1/RT and L1/LT slowly in order to climb. If you fail, you will fall to the bottom.

Boss: Simmons (Chimera Form)

Once your reach the top of the cable you will be on a secluded section of bridge across the way from Ada. Cover her with your Sniper Rifle and check for a zombie behind you once in a while for more ammo.

Eventually, the bridge will collapse and you will be forced to climb the cable again with Simmons on your tail. Keep climbing and watch for prompts if he gets close to avoid being thrown off the building. When you reach the top, Leon will jump to the bridge to aid the unconcious Ada.

The boss battle is now separated into two paths.

Simmons (Chimera Form): As Leon

  • You can easily avoid Simmons by dashing past him on either side. Aim for his neck and keep moving to avoid being hit. As you make your way around, zombies will crowd around and drop more items for you to grab and reload.
  • Eventually, Simmons will throw you off the roof and as you hang on for dear life Ada will save the day.

Quad Tower Roof

Boss: Simmons (Fly Form)

Simmons blocks your path to the rooftop as hoards of zombies come in. Use any Incendiary Grenades you have and then switch to any weapon and deal damage to him.

If you find yourself low on ammo, hide in the alcove off to the side and focus on the zombies to gain items. This is also a great place to go if you need to reload or heal.

Keep this until the zombies decide he is a tasty snack and you are able to pass.

Inside the gate, head under the stairs and look through the bars to shoot a Serpent Emblem. Now grab the crates nearby and make your way through the rooftops, breaking open crates as you go. Open the partner required door and then vault Helena up on the machine.

Boss: Simmons (Fly Form) - Cont.

Simmons (Fly Form): As Helena

  • Info Coming Soon

Simmons (Fly Form): As Leon

  • As Helena helps move the container to the far side, you will need to distract Simmons so he does not kill you.
  • Start by aiming at him in the distance, focusing on the red eyes, and when he lands on the building next to you use your close range weapons.
  • If you fail to keep him occupied, he will knock the container off and you'll have to try again.
  • When you reach the other side you will automatically jump out as the container falls, along with Simmons.

On the other side, kill the zombies and grab any items while you reload your weapons. When you are clear, smash the crates and climb the ladder to advance.

Boss: Simmons (Fly Form) - Cont.

The objective is to shoot off Simmons' legs and get him to grab the lightning rod zombie to regenerate. There are a couple of major difficulties involved in this battle. The first is that you are constantly being swamped with zombies and can not simply focus on the legs. The second is that it is no guarantee that Simmons will use the zombie you want to regenerate.

Once you are stocked up from the crates nearby, focus on damaging the legs to try and get them to break off and force Simmons to regenerate. There are two ways to do damage:

  • Shoot the glowing bulbs on the legs and belly
  • When the camera angles up to a leg, use Sqaure + X/ X + A to dodge the attack and then R1/RT to counter by climbing the leg and planting an Incendiary Grenade in the leg

Stop to clear out the zombies once in a while, since keeping the numbers low will help your chances in Simmons using the correct zombie to regenerate.

When Simmons finally does use the correct zombie, the lightning rod will fall to the ground where you can pick it up and impale another zombie as bait.

Each time Simmons grabs the zombie to regenerate it will do damage to his overall health and eventually he will fall to the ground and Leon will yell to aim for his head. There are two ways to deal with him now, thrust the spike into his head or have him regenerate his head with a spiked zombie. This should finish him...for now.

After Simmons goes down, make your way to the helicopter and try to open the doors. Simmons will reappear and get ready to strike you. Quickly pick up the Rocket Launcher and shoot him in the head to complete the level and Leon's Campaign.

For a unique medal, defeat Simmons without using the Rocket Launcher.

Chris & Piers' Campaign

Chris and Piers' Campaign is much more action packed and intense than Leon & Helena's.

If you are looking for something closer to Call of Duty action, you will want to swap over to this campaign to keep from becoming bored.

.

Chapter 1

June 29, 2013 / Eastern Europe

Enjoy the intro and learn some backstory as to who Chris has become since the last time we saw him and meet his newish partner, Piers Nivans.

.

Main Street

June 30, 2013 / Waiyip China

When you have control, use the O/B command to slide down the rope and join your group. Head through the building, breaking crates as your go, and exit the double doors.

The street is full of press and civilians that you'll need to make your way past to reach the end of the street. The cars nearby blow up, diverting your course and forcing you to go through the buildings nearby.

Head up the stairs and break the crates at the top, which generally are a Red and Green Herb. Head through the room of windows, which are shot through by enemy units, and check the butcher's kitchen for the first Serpent Emblem. Leave the kitchen, getting the nearby crate, and continue through the buildings.

When you see a man kill two civilians, jump down and follow him into the next street. The J'avo regenerates its head when it is shot, but don't be discouraged by this and keep shooting to kill him. Afterward, head down the street for some action and before entering the door at the end check for crates nearby.

.

Back Street

Make your way into the next building and kill all the enemies.

Like all trained soldiers, the group announce an all clear when the enemies are down. This is great for clear times, as you will know you can stop being careful and look for items quickly before moving on.

Continue to make your way through the alley and buildings until you get a cutscene with a mutated J'avo. Clear the room while being careful not to get shot by the J'avo with a machine gun and then make your way upstairs to a door.

Smash through the door and break the nearby crate before heading through the partner required door. Instead of rushing forward, take cover nearby and shoot the enemies as they approach. The machete J'avo like to rush forward, while the gun carrying ones hang back. Take out the advancing ones first, so you are not overrun with enemies, and then focus on the ones in the distance. Afterward, clear the area of crates and enter the next building.

Smash the two crates inside, one of which covers a Serpent Emblem, and continue through the building and across a catwalk of fire. The next building has some more J'avo you'll need to take out before heading upstairs.

As you approach the doorway on the left, be careful of the mutated J'avo that smashes through the door. Continue down the hall for another mutated J'avo and then enter the double doors.

Rooftops

Smash the crates nearby and head up the staircase, with a few J'avo, to the roof for a cutscene.

J'avo will pour in from the area in front of you, so take them out and then search the area for crates. When it is clear, climb the ladder and jump across the gap to climb either ladder to reach the highest point.

Instead of going across the wooden platform, turn left and look at the top of the blue building under construction. At the top is a Serpent Emblem that is easily shot with Piers, but still possible as Chris.

Continue across the rooftops, getting the crates, and climb the tall ladder to reach an area with more J'avo. Kill them and head for the zipline.

Rooftops: As Chris

  • Tap Square/X to move across the area quickly as the J'avo shoot at you. Luckily, the J'avo are a poor shot and Piers has your back.
  • When you are on solid ground again, climb the ladder and shoot the J'avo nearby before you break the crates for items.
  • Make your way through the rooftops, watching for enemies that shoot from a distance or try and ambush you, to reunite with Piers.
  • Don't forget to go down his path for some items in crates.

Rooftops: As Piers

  • Info Coming Soon

Head through the partner required door and jump across the burning structures, which collapse and separate your team for a quick bit before you can regroup. Kill the enemies that advance while using cover to avoid being shot at a distance.

When the coast is clear, head to the next building and climb the ladder.

Hop down to a partner required door and head through to an ambush. As the bright floodlight turns on, you will be ambushed by enemies with the objective to hold out until Bravo Team appears. Use the explosive barrels in the area and keep moving to avoid being pinned down. The J'avo with guns are the deadliest, as they dwindle your health down from a distance, so take them out first.

When Bravo Team appears, your new objective is to take out all the enemies. Do so and then grab any items you missed, including the Flash Grenade x3 on top of the large crate near the doorway to proceed.

.

Tenement

As you enter you are informed of a hostage situation, but first you need to deal with the loads of J'avo on your current floor. Keep moving and watch your back as you make your way through the area and defeat the J'avo. When you are given the all clear, go through the stairwell to floor 7.

Make your way forward, checking the alcoves for crates, and when you enter the last room you will be swarmed with spider-like J'avo. Kill any that get to close, but your objective is the one holding the hostage. Use Flash Grenades when needed to get enemies off the ceilings and stomp on some heads. Avoiding shooting the hostage carrying J'avo, as this can kill the hostage, and stick to melee attacks.

When HQ mentions the hostage on floor 8, head for the stairs and go up a level. Once again, kill any J'avo that are not carrying the hostage and then focus on tracking down and killing the one with the hostage.

Return to the stairwell and down to the 6th floor for crates and a Serpent Emblem inside the bucther shop. Also get the 2,000 Skill Points in a chest behind the butcher shop before you take the elevator to the 1st floor.

Mid-descent the elavtor will stop. Examine the ceiling panel and vault Piers up and to assist Chris. An RPG toting J'avo gets trigger happy and blows the elevator away. Kill him and then gather any crates nearby before using O/B to open the nearby doors and then take cover.

The three machine gun J'avo will cover the elevator entrance and prevent you fom entering, so kill them from cover and enter the room. More J'avo enter nearby, so clear the floor of enemies and crates before moving to the door and head down to floor 2.

Circle the area and grab any items from crates before looking down the big hole in the middle of the area. You will see a J'avo standing over the final hostage that you can shoot. Kill him and drop down into the area to clear it of enemies, including the one that drops down in slow-mo to try and kill the hostage.

As the hostage and the rest of your team clear out, Piers and Chris are left inside the building due to a collapse. Follow the navigation to the 3rd floor and make your way through the collapsing building. If you or your partner falls down, use the L stick or O/B to get up. Head for the opening and jump into the clear.

Chapter 2

Edonian Street

December 24, 2012 / Edonia, Eastern Europe

You have been transported back in time...not really. As Chris remembers the events that brought him to his current position, you will be riding in an APC that is ambushed by J'avo.

Taking cover behind the vehicle or the building, take out the J'avo in front of the barricade to the north. When it is clear, head through the building on the left for a bunch of crates.

As you advance, the J'avo's arms may mutate into shield-like objects. If this happens, aim for the feet or get behind them to cause damage.

From the building, head up the steps and take cover to focus on the snipers and turret using enemies. Once they are down and the military trucks move forward, you can jump over the wall and head up and around the corner into a building with more enemies and crates.

Now, take the bridge and examine the partner required door for a cutscene.

Boss: Ogroman

Focus on the face or the red pouch on its back as it approaches the bridge. Eventually, you will be forced off the bridge and be on the street on the other side.

Head into the building on the right (while facing the bridge) and head up the stairs to be eye level with the monster. Continue to fire on it, but watch out for it punching open the wall. This is actually a good thing, as you can a better view of the monster.

Continue to fire on it until it kneels and then run to its shoulder and press R1/RT, mount it's body and rapidly tap X/A to grab its spiked body part and thrust it into the pouch. This should end the battle.

The BSAA comes in and clears out the area, leaving you to check for any crates you may have missed. Instead of following the truck, go back under the bridge, through the building, and across the bridge to the partner required door that triggered the B.O.W. to get the First Aid Spray, Assault Shotgun, and crate.

Once it is clear, continue down the street and the vehicle will plow through the gate and head down the path. There are two places you need to cover as you head down the alley; one is the street level arched walkway that the vehicle is driving next to and the other is the building across the way, which has enemies shooting down at your troops.

Follow the APC when the area is clear and when it hits a mine and becomes immobile, head into the building on the far side and crawl under the wall to reach a flanking position.

Kill the two J'avo on the street and then rush to the ladder to get up and defeat the snipers. J'avo will likely pour in from your previous location, so cover the ladder as they try and climb up. When the area is clear, head to the fence in the back area to blow the fence.

Finn will head straight for the train blocking your path and tell you to cover him. While enemies are sparce at the beginning, rush into the enemy territory and check the right side of the area to shoot a Serpent Emblem and then rush back. Now cover the area while Finn does what he does best.

.

The Bridge

Head down the stairs and turn around the corner to find a Green Herb on some barrels and smash the crates nearby. Continue onward, getting another crate, and when a scout signals you and thrust Piers across the gap.

The Bridge: As Chris

  • Head across the bridge and when the explosion throwns you on your ass, crawl to Finn by using the L stick and X/A to crawl faster.
  • Head across the bridge, killing any enemies on turrets and advancing to their position so back-up doesn't take over, and when you reach the tank Chris will tell Piers about an explosive barrel behind it.
  • Bait the tank out by heading into the open and falling back a little until Piers can shoot the barrel. Once the tank is down, clear up any snipers that Piers missed and climb the ladder to the top area where you will need to drop a ladder for Piers to ascend to your level.

The Bridge: As Piers

  • After being tossed across the gap, switch your rifle to Thermal Scope and head down the hall, full of J'avo. Once you have clear them out, go to the tower, where two more J'avo run in behind you.
  • Snipe the J'avo on the bridge that block Chris' path and when he radios for help Piers will comment that he can take the tank out if Chris lures it away. Turn off the Thermal Scope and when the tank moves out of the way, shoot the red tanker behind it.
  • The scout opens the door next to you so you can make your way to the bridge, but before you head up the stairs turn your attention to the top of the bridge's first support where a Serpent Emblem lies.
  • You can now make your way up to the bridge, through a train car, and hop down into a walkway to reach the ladder that Chris drops for you.

With Piers and Chris reunited, head to the far side of the bridge and push the dumpster into the ocean to trigger an invasion. Run forward to the container near the downed train car and take cover. As the enemies paradrop into the area, cover yourself from the advancing hoard as Finn makes his way to the upper level.

Shoot a paratrooper down before it hits the ground for a unique medal.

When Finn announces his arrival, continue to fight J'avo until the camera hints that you need to fall back and take cover. Rush back and cover the area until the rail car comes within blasting range and into the river it goes.

.

Outside City Hall

As Chris and Piers reach City Hall they encounter Raccoon City survivor Sherry Birkin and the mercenary Jake Muller. Before they get to pleasantries, the enemies drop in another Ogroman for your killing pleasure.

Boss: Ogroman x2

As soon as the Ogroman is dropped in, run away from it and enter the first building on your right. There are plenty of J'avo and an anti-aircraft gun inside. You need to kill the J'avo and cover Finn as he sets the charges.

Ignore the Ogroman for now, as Sherry and Jake will distract it away from Finn and just cover the doorway to the building where enemies drop down. Once the 1st gun is down, clear the area of crates and head to the building at the far end of the street, which is likely where Sherry and Jake have taken the Ogroman.

Enter the building and head for the turret, but do not man it. Take out the enemy sniper on the buildings nearby (there should be two) and then man the turret and use it on the Ogroman until it is dead. You should easily be able to get it to stagger and then jump on it's back and use the spine to stab the pouch. Don't let it get too close to the turret, as it can destroy it with an attack and it should go down after about 2-4 stabs (depending on difficulty).

Once the first Ogroman is down, enter the building across the way that Finn has been standing at for a while and kill the J'avo inside. On the roof, cover the area oppsite the gun where J'avo come from. You should have no problem with the Ogroman down. Once the charge is set and the anti-aircraft gun down, another Ogroman will appear.

Head downstairs into the basement of the current building to take the underground route through town. Be careful of the many J'avo that line the tunnels and grab all the crates, as well as a Green Herb and Red Herb.

When you reach the first ladder that goes up, use it and head down the street and back to the 2nd building with the gun turret you used to kill the previous Ogroman. Use the same strategy of shooting and impaling him to kill him before you head back into the tunnels and follow Finn.

Head through the building and drop into the fenced area where you will need to cover Finn from the enemies in the upper floors of the ruined building nearby. Once all three ant-aircraft guns are down you will advance to the next area.

.

City Hall

In the foyer of City Hall, smash all the crates and head behind the main staircase to find a Serpent Emblem. Finn will point out a door that you should head through to spot a woman in blue.

As you walk down the hall, a J'avo bursts out of a room that contains 9mm Ammo, 12-Gauge Shells x2 and a crate. Once you got those, continue down the hall, breaking the crate in the bathroom, and jump down into the new room.

The Napads are not as deadly as you would think and are extremely weak to Hand Grenades at their feet as well as Flash Grenades. Because they have hard shells that block your attacks, using a Flash Grenade to stun them and then melee off their shells is a great tactic.

After their shells are missing use some Shotgun blasts, more melee, and stealth attacks to their back (if you use a Flash Grenade to stun them) are all great tactics. Watch out for their charge and stay out of arms reach to avoid their punches as you'll have no problem.

Once all the Napads are down, clear the room of crates and follow Finn to a door that he blows off the hinges. Head down the hall, getting the crates, and open the door to a large room with more J'avo. Once clear, check the side room for 12-Gauge Shells and a Red Herb and then continue to the partner required door.

After meeting the woman who introduces herself as Ada, check the small alcove inside the room for a Green Herb and Serpent Emblem before follwoing her back to the foyer.

The foyer is filled with Napads that can easily overwhelm you in the open. Make the choice to either leave them be and run upstairs to the exit or take them on. If you decide to take them on, the passage behind the foyer stairs is a great place to bunch them together for Hand Grandes, Flash Grenades, and melee attacks. If you are playing as Piers, his rifle will stun them in one shot and usually pierces through them to stun multiple enemies. When you are clear, head for the 2nd floor door to advance.

As you head into the next room, the chrystalis will pop and Strelats infest the room. Keep moving and focus on melee combat to take these guys out. When all three are dead, head to the door into the warehouse.

More Strelats and Napads pop out of chrystalis coccoon as you make your way through the area. Follow the navigation, but enter the side room with a forklift to a door that leads to two crates on a walkway above the area. Once you are ready, head for the exit and chapter end.

Chapter 3

.

Tenement - Poisawan Entrance

June 30, 2013 / Waiyip, China

Jump down into the building ruins and make your way through the flames until an invisible snake snags one of the officers and drags him away. Follow the linear path to a playground where you can ride a panda (Chris only) and slide down the yellow slide, if you want to stop and play. Once you are done, head through the red gate to an abandoned street.

Instead of heading to the right to continue, go to the upper left corner and shoot the Serpent Emblem. There is also a Green Herb in the bottom right corner and some crates that you should grab before climbing the nearby ladder.

Break through the partner required door and make your way to a group of J'avo waiting around the corner (you can sneak in slowly and take them out one at a time if you want).

Climb the ladder to another ledge and then try and climb a second ladder when two mutated J'avo hop down. Take them out with Shotgun quick shots and melee combat and then continue back up the ladder to some crates.

The next room has a few J'avo that like to mutate their heads into big ugly bugs that spit silk at you. Once the first room is clear, head into the back room with three more J'avo and another room with a First Aid Spray and some crates.

.

Poisawan Courtyard

Jake and Sherry are in the courtyard below you, but you will be unable to reach them. Instead, focus on shooting any enemies that come up to your level and shooting what you can on the lower level.

Eventually, the enemy numbers will dwindle enough that the game marks what is left for you to destroy. The last enemy or two is usually riding on the helicopters wing, so shoot them for a cutscene.

After the area is clear, check around for any crates you may not have gotten and then head to the double doors to proceed. Follow your team through the stairwell and up a ladder to the rooftops where more crates are waiting. Follow the path to another door and then head straight, instead of up the ladder, to a Grenade Launcher, First Aid Spray, and 40mm Explosive Rounds x2. Now, climb the ladder to take on a non-B.O.W. boss.

Boss: Enemy Attack Chooper - L

This battle is not that complex really, shoot the helicopter with the Grenade Laucher, ignore the J'avo, and make every shot count.

It is possible to run out of ammo and screw yourself up in this section, so make sure the helicopter is in a fixed position before hitting the trigger. There is plenty of cover on the roof and a few crates on the other side of the building that may yield ammo.

Keep moving and try to avoid the rockets that the helicopter shoots. The gatling gun fire is more annoying than hurtful, but that doesn't mean you should stand out in the open if you can avoid it. When the chooper takes enough damage you can proceed.

.

Poisawan Inner Area

Head through the corridor into a family room, past the Mahjong table and into the bedroom where a Serpent Emblem lies on a pillow. Continue through the house, getting a crate in a side room, and into the next hall where the snake makes another semi-appearance. Follow the team to a partner required door and enter.

This place can be confusing, so use the navigational beacon to determine which way is the correct path and which leads to dead ends or crates. Once you reach the barber shop, break open the crates and advance for another snake appearance. Follow the path down a rope and push the debris out of the way to head down more ropes for a scene.

No matter who you are, your objective is to get to the 2nd floor. Head through the building, grabbing any crates and proceed to the 2nd floor where your partner rejoins you to open a door. The snake thankfully returns one of your unit alive and slithers away into a hole. Follow it through the door and down the hole into a butcher shop where you get to finally fight the thing.

Boss: Iluzija

The snake is easily avoided if you keep moving around instead of standing in one place. Circle the area as you look for the liquid like snake and when it appears, shoot it with your Shotgun in the body and then the mouth. Continue this tactic until the snake has had enough and slithers away through a vent.

Follow the snake, on your back with your Shotgun at the ready, as you make your way through the vent. When it tries to snack on you, shoot it in the face and proceed.

On the other side, be ready to rotate the L stick to get free of the surprise attack and then continue your onslaught. There are plenty of crates in this room and 12-Gauge Shells in the next room. Keep moving and use the same tactic you did before until it slithers away through some double doors.

Instead of following the snakes, look for another low vent in the sweatshop that leads to some living quarters with Green Herb x2 and 10,000 Skill Points. Now head back and follow the snake up a ladder.

Boss: Iluzija - Cont.

You are knocked down into a sewer-like area and the snake circles the area. You can't shoot it, as the hardened shell protects it, so head for the ladders on the other side of the area. Grab the Green Herbs x2 and then head to the central panel. You have to pull the lever as the snake passes through the puddle below.

The first time, miss or not, the machine will unplug and Marco will get electrocuted pushing it back in. Repeat the process to defeat the snake.

Once the snake is defeated, head to Marco to climb up to his side and grab the Red Herb. Instead of walking into the plug and taking damage, go through the door on your right to a partner required door.

Unfortunately for Marco, Ada appears and turns him into a Gnezdo. This B.O.W. is not overly deadly, but can be a pain to kill. Focus on the swarm of flies that likes to take the form of a human, but when the Queen pops away from the bunch shoot her. Keep this up until the chrystalis is destroyed and you get Marco's C4 Explosive.

Check the room for any crates and then blow the double doors nearby for a quick scene. Head down the stairs and through a partner required door to continue.

.

Stilt Housing Area

Hop down and break open the crates before you jump to the boat and proceed. Enemies come in from the left side, so take cover and focus on taking them out before you continue. Once they are neutralized, go ahead and break open the crates and proceed through the boats.

There are plenty of snipers on this level, so use the cover and shoot what you can before you proceed. If you need to get closer, go ahead and take either path when it splits. Check to make sure you get all the crates in the area before you proceed and continue to the partner action door.

A helicopter appears and proceeds to open fire as you run over the boats. Do not stop and continue to follow Piers past any enemies that appear.

When you reach the building, head left and take cover behind the banister and railing near the ladder. Instead of going up, look to the left above a green building under construction and find the Serpent Emblem. When the helicopter finished a round of fire, pop up and shoot it and then go upstairs.

As your head through the rooms looking for vases of Grenade Laucher ammo, don't be afraid to take out a few J'avo. When the helicopter isn't shooting, pop out and get a few shots off before returning to cover. With the chopper down, jump to the dock and watch the pagoda explode and sink...why? Because they COULD, that's why.

Head through the docks, killing the many J'avo that block your path and grabbing the 4,000 Skill Points from a chest, and then climb the ladder to some crates. When you are all restocked, head through the partner required door.

.

Medical Research Center

Make your way through the warehouse and head through the door into a long hallway filled with specimen.

If you have played Leon's campaign you know what is to come, if not, you will need to Dash through the room under a laser and break the panels on either side of the door to disengage the laser field.

If you make it to the elevator before the other team you are taken to room 01 and if you fail, you take the stairs to room 00.

Room 00

  • Break the crates outside the door and then enter. As you enter the room, break open the crates and take the hint of equipping the Shotgun. As Ada triggers the trap of floor mines, use your Shotgun to bounce them back toward the other team or destroy them.
  • No matter if yo are playing Chris or Piers, you must pry open the wall panel to allow your partner to hotwire the system. Protect your partner until the security is unlocked. If you beat the other team, gather the 5,000 Skill Points x2 and 4,000 Skill Points on the other side.

Room 01

  • Info Coming Soon

Whether you beat the other team or not, follow Ada and don't let her get too far away or it's Game Over. Eventually, you will get a scene with Leon and Helena and be forced to head after Ada.

.

Main Thoroughfare

This is by far the dumbest part of the whole game. You start out driving, if you are Piers, or shooting, if you are Chris. Either way, you must pursue Ada through the streets and you shoot and destroy J'avo jeeps. I am going to leave this all up to you, since the section is linear. My only suggestions are BOOST OFTEN and try to avoid enemy jeeps that slow you down.

There is some good news for this portion of the games:

  • Failing does not count as a death and will not effect your ranking, except for time spent in the chapter.
  • There is a Serpent Emblem in the garage when you lose Ada. When Piers stops the truck, due to a barricade of J'avo jeeps, aim for the back wall above the central jeep to shoot it.

Jake & Sherry's Campaign

Chapter 1

Chapter 2

Chapter 3

Chapter 4

Chapter 5

.

Underwater Facility 1

Jake and Sherry wake in Neo-Umbrella's underwater facility, bound in chains. When you have control, look around the room's ceiling to find a Serpent Emblem near the pipes. You can't shoot it now, but you will want to know where it is so you can quickly get it when you are armed. Examine the glass to the left of the door and then boost Sherry into the identified vent nearby.

If you are playing as Jake, there is nothing you can do except wait. If you are playing as Sherry, crawl through the vent and press X/A to crawl faster until you fall through a weak panel, just before running into the Rasklapanje. Get to your feet and grab the gear and 9mm Ammo x2 and then shoot the button below the red light on the door panel to free Jake.

Immediately head into the room and shoot the Serpent Emblem from earlier and then kill the Rasklapanje to open the far door and exit the room. Break the crate near the elevator control panel and then check the panel. Pull the levers on each side of the control panel to turn on the first reserve battery and cause another Rasklapanje to spawn. Immediately turn around and open the partner required door behind you to access the gear platform that goes up and down a shaft.

You'll need to go through the next few areas pulling similar levers while avoiding Rasklapanje at the same time. Ride the elevator to room E and jump inside to another Rasklapanje. Kill or lure it out of the main room and then rush back to pull the partner levers direcly next to the doors to open room C.

You can't jump back onto the elevator, so head down the hall to a back room with 12-Gauge Shells. Turn around and take a right into the small lab for 9mm Ammo, a Green Herb and a Serpent Emblem in the cabinets and on the desk. Exit the room to thr right, facing the direction of the cabinet that held the emblem, and then jump to the elevator when it passes.

Hop off at room C where there are meat grinders. If you want a unique medal, try and grind a Rasklapanje's hand by standing in front of the grinder and hitting R1/RT with a severed hand nearby. If you don't care, rush in and head right, as Jake, and left, as Sherry, to reach the levers and start up the third reserve battery (there is also a Remote Bomb and 9mm Ammo on the consoles next to the levers that you should grab) Make your way back to the elevator and jump on as it passes.

Underwater Facility 1: as Jake

  • Jump off at room D and grab the items in the crates, .50 Magnum Ammo, and 5,000 Skill Points. Wait for the upper platform, the one with the blue lights, to lower and hop on to reach room G. Grab the 12-Gauge Shells from the nearby console and head down the hall to another room with 9mm Ammo and a lever. Hopefully, Sherry has reached her lever on the other side of the electric field and you can pull them.

Underwater Facility 1: As Sherry

  • From the red lift, head to room F and run through it back to the other side and exit from room E to the blue lift. Jump off at room I and make your way through the area to the partner lever across the electric field from Jake.

Once the final reserve battery is turned on, a Rasklapanje will spawn on Jake's side. The only way to get back together is to have Jake shoot the Rasklapanje into the electric beams and disrupt the power. Unfortunately, this causes the lifts to go haywire due to the surge created. Head through Sherry'section to the other exit and pull the lever nearby to drop the crane and the jump to the lift.

A Rasklapanje will follow you onto the lift, which you must kill, before you can proceed. As the crane breaks and the lifts whirls uncontrolably, Jake and Sherry both fall to the lift below. Use the L stick to climb up between the two lifts and rapidly press X/A to crawl through in true Terminator style. When you reach the end, you'll jump into room B and be back at the elevator, which you should use.

.

Underwater Facility - Lower Levels

After the interesting run in with Chris and Piers, search the area for crates and then approach the console and turn on the lifts. Feel free to ride the lifts with any partner you choose for different dialog and defeat the many J'avo as you ascend. When you reach the top you will be split up from Chris and Piers by Haos.

.

Underwater Facility 2

Head through the long corridor, stocking up from all the crates, and enter the partner required door.

Boss: Ustanak

Fighting Ustanak is pointless on the weak walkways, so immediately turn around and jump down to the next level. Run through the zigzagged area and then push the container out of your way with your partner to jump down again.

This level is where the real battle begins, but first there are a few things to get. Start by heading right and for three crates and continue to a single crate in the distance. If you look behind this crate, on the pillar in the distance, you can find a Serpent Emblem. Now, focus on dodging Ustanak's flail arm while shooting him until you fall to the ground.

Ustanak will now pull lava from the ground, creating lava pockets. Avoid these until the cool as you continue to shoot Ustanak and avoid his charge attack. Now is the time to use your biggest artillary, including Explosive Rounds and Remote Bombs. Once you do enough damage, Ustanak will stagger.

Underwater Facility 2: As Sherry

  • If you are playing as Sherry, approach him and hit R1/RT to wrap around his neck and rapidly hit X/A, while Jake tears off his flail-like arm..
  • When you and Jake are separated, climb the ladder and make your way to the control panel to lauch containers at Ustanak and help Jake.

Underwater Facility 2: As Jake

  • If you are playing as Jake, Sherry will grab Ustanak and you'll need to approach to tear off his arm.
  • With Ustanak and yourself disarmed, you'll enter hand-to-hand combat.
    • Wait for Ustanak to raise his arm for an attack and then unleash a punch combo or palm strike to throw it off balance.
    • Dodge any attacks you don't interupt and take your time, do not wildly throw kicks and punches.
    • Continue until the prompt for X/A appears and tap it repeatedly to finish him off...

When you have control again, rejoin your partner exit the area through the partner required door nearby.

.

Shipping Center

Head down the hall and upon exiting the door look right for a Serpent Emblem that you can kick. Continue through the partner required door nearby and pull both levers to start the high speed platform.

Like all great bosses, Ustanak isn't dead yet and attacks the lift. Using R1/RT and L1/LT, switch slowly between each, not letting go of one until you press the next, and climb the cargo platform. Keep going to the container and hit O/B to release it.

Although it stuns Ustanak, it does not finish him off. Continue climbing to the next partner action to release a pipe with O/B and then rapidly press X/A to release the rest and then continue climbing.

Pissed, Ustanak launches in front of you and breaks open a crate of guns. Crawl to the gun between you and Ustanak and when prompted hit R1/RT to shoot him in the heart and end the level.

Ada's Campaign

Chapter 1

June 27, 2013 / Deep Sea, Northern Atlantic

.

Submarine Interior

The key to Ada's missions are stealth, since she is not capable of dealing with never ending enemy spawns. Open the door and walk down the corridor and take cover on the wall at the intersection and stealth kill the J'avo. Continue straight, ignoring the yellow lasered doorway, and crawl through a short corridor to the other side.

Carefully walk to the corner nearby and take cover to stealth kill another J'avo. There is a J'avo on the other side of the yellow lasers that can see you, so wait until he walks away and enter the doorway to the left of the lasers. Crawl under a gap in the sleeping chambers and stealth kill the J'avo on the other side before slowly advancing to the door, where that pacing J'avo is. Wait for him to walk away and rush in for a stealth kill to proceed.

Continue slowly to the next yellow lasered doorway, peaking around corners to make sure you are not seen. When you reach the doorway you'll notice that a J'avo paced the area behind the lasers and there is no way to get by without being seen. Pull out your Crossbow and take aim at his head when he stops for an instant kill.

The room to the right of the lasered doorway has a J'avo that does not set off the alarm, but he does mutate if you fail to kill him in one hit. Take cover and aim for his head. If you fail, and he mutates, use a Quick Shot to pin him down and finish with a melee attack.

Enter the crawl space on the other side of the room and crawl to the other side of the laser beams, collect any items and jump down to the next level.

Continue forward, using Ada's grappling hook, and peek around the corners for more stealth kills. When you reach the trio of J'avo, you will be forced to become noticed the minute you kill one. Take one out with the Crossbow and then throw an Incendiary Grenade in to finish off the rest. Break the crates nearby for items and then continue.

You'll come to a hall where two J'avo pace back and forth and another hides in a room. Take the one in the room out first and then deal with the two in the hall, killing one when the other is walking away. Break all the crates in the area for items and then continue up the stairs to a small bedroom on the right that has a Serpent Emblem on top of the cabinet.

Continue to the next crawl space and drop into the fancy puzzle room.

Start by examining the button by the door to note that it is locked and then head behind the partition and look through the opening. It is blocked by the horns of the goat on the other side, so go around and examine it to move them. Return to the opening and look through to see an image within the painting (Snake, Fish, or Eagle). You must now go around the room and examine the four consoles to change the image on the doorway's display to match the animal in the painting. Once the image matches, examine the door to proceed (if it is incorrect you will get a light shock).

The next area has turrets that take out the J'avo in your way. Walk down the hall and step on the glowing floor to activate the turret and destroy the J'avo and continue to the projection room.

Grab the Red Herb, Green Herb, and Incendiary Grenades x2 before you watch the projection. When the video finishes, you will be ambushed by some J'avo that can be taken out with a grenade. Finish off any survivors and then exit the room and head right into the newly opened area.

Deal with the J'avos or run back and straight the the glowing red light to lure the J'avos to their death and continue. Run to the end of the hall and kill the two J'avo that drop down and then climb up into the vent.

Drop into the next area and you'll see a glowing white panel for a turret in the area below. Head rown and activate it and then continue forward toward the crates to lure the enemies into the turrets fire. When then start to head over the container, rush back and around the corner to another turret activation. Grab the 9mm Ammo and any items dropped by the crates and enemies and then head around the corner.

A J'avo is controlling the ground turret that prevents you from moving forward. Crawl along the first container and when there is a break in the fire, rush to the other side of the room and grab the Green Herb before hoping over and activating the glowing turret trigger. Once the J'avo is dead, break the crates behind you and move forward to the reactor.

.

Submarine Reactor

Open the door and walk left to the end of the room and turn around to find a Serpent Emblem. Break the two crates in the room and jump down to grab the Assault Shotgun. Turn left at the intersection and quick shot the Glava-Smech with your crossbow and finish it off to grab the crate. Turn around and kill the J'avo that has likely headed your way, if he saw you, or kill him with a headshot. Continue down the hall for another J'avo and make your way to the ladder.

The reactor room has a bunch of J'avo with guns that like to shoot from a distance. Rush in and take them out or take them from cover with your Crossbow, but ignore the two J'avo at the far end of the room that can not reach you. Grab all the items from drops and crates and then shoot one of the J'avo on the far side of the room for a cinematic.

Grapple your way to the upper level from the metal walkway at the back of the reactor room and head through the door. Kill the J'avo and break the crate behind the partition and head through the bulkhead to the next room.

Jump across the catwalks as you make your way forward and grapple to the far side. The walkways become unstable and you'll need to dash through the area to reach the bulkhead on the other side. Follow the linear path and grapple up another level and then take out the two J'avo as you continue.

Grapple up another floor to the bay rush forward as sub starts to pitch and roll. Eventually, Ada will fall to the ground and you'll have to crawl with the L stick while hitting X/A to use stamina to move quicker. When you are nearly to the exit, the sub will turn all the way vertical and Ada will be riding a container down. Hit the X/A button when the prompt pops up.

Head forward and Ada will indicate that you need to go up the shaft as the water starts to rush in behind you. Grapple to the next level and then run to the ladder and climb it. Rush forward and jump across the gap to the left and head to the end of the hall to another ladder on your right. CLimb it and jump across another gap and take the ladder on your left to a hall with a crawl space at the end.

Go under the crawl space and kill the Noga-Trchanje with the Ammo 50 or Assault Shotgun and turn left. Before climbing the ladder, look right and shoot the Serpent Emblem and then continue up the ladder. Head right and examine the valve to shut off the water by rotating the L stick and then return under the crawl space and continue forward and right to another ladder.

Rush forward and hop down and then dash and slide under the crawl space to the left into the next room where you can grapple up a level. Turn around and run across the mesh grate on the right to the ladder and climb up to another floor with two crates. Run around one to jump the gap and then run to the ladder and head up again. Climb the crates and then use the grapple to reach the end.

.

Submarine Torpedo Room

Head straight down the hall and defeat the Gnezdo before jumping the second partition, turning around, and melee attacking the Serpent Emblem. Break the crates and then turn around and head back over the partition to the end of the hall where a ladder is. Crawl up both ladder, head through a crawl space and drop into a control room.

Examine the panel and then jump off and head past the panel across some partitions and into a room with two Gnezdo. Ignore them and head left over a partition and break open the crate before climbing up to another crate and another crawl space.

Crawl through to the other side, where more Gnezdo await, and rush to the end of the hall for a crate before jumping over the nearby partition into a room with a Gnezdo and two water filled bulkhead doors. Jump into the right one and swim down, past the ladder, and then out of another bulkhead door. Climb up the nearby ledge and turn on the power.

Return to the water and go back the way you came, across the ladders in the bottom right of the room, and pop out. Jump into the other water across the way and follow it to the other side where you can kick the doors open. Jump over and climb the crates to enter the crawl space and exit into the torpedo room.

Climb back up the platform and actviate the control panel. As the voice of Ada Wong asks questions, J'avo will attack you and try to prevent you from answering questions quickly. Your goal is to take ake out the enemies with the machine guns first and leave the knife J'avo for later while approaching the panel, from either level, and hitting O/B to answer questions. If you manage to turn an enemy or two into the explosive bugs, leave them alone and stay on the upper platform (they can't jump up). Once all 5 questions are answered, the camera angle will change and you can grapple up and finish the level.

Forest Cemetery

Wait to hear all the dialog before you take a few steps forward and witness Leon and Helena enter the cathedral grounds. Turn around and break open the crates before continuing around a corner to a tomb. Do not jump down and walk behind the tomb marker for a Serpent Emblem and a crate. Now drop into the underground through the crypt's cover.

Follow the path to a chest with a rusty lock and shoot it off to get the Simmons Family Crest Piece A. The doors will close and two corpses will drop down behind you. Kill them and head into the next room for some crates and grapple up into the gap to continue.

Climb the ladder and examine the door across the way twice to place the first puzzle piece and then head right, taking the first left twice to come crates. Return to the path to the right and head straight to a sarcophagus that can be opened for a Green Herb before entering the tomb that was opened.

Follow the path to a red door and enter a chamber with many iron doors. Ignore the doors and take the stairs on your left to a crate and then shoot the lock on the stairs to drop a platform that can be crossed to the Amber Key.

Head back downstairs and open the door on your left with a chest in the middle of the room. As you enter a zombie will drop the crate into a pit and then attack you. Kill him and break open the crates in the room, making sure to also get the Sniper Rifle. If you take a second to look up, you will notice that corpses are held above you by padlocks that you can shoot to drop them. Take a minute to shoot each one down ONCE for items.

Head to the left side of the lever, the side the rifle was on, and push it to be directly below the hanging corpse and shoot him down to hold the lever. You can now jump into the hole and grab the Simmons Family Crest Piece B.

To get out of the room, push the two chaired zombies onto the electric circuits nearby, giving yourself a small shock as well. When a third zombie drops from the ceiling, lure it over the third circuit and melee attack it to finish the puzzle and return to the main room.

With the power restored, pull the lever to the next room and watch as three zombies enter and then jump across and the floor will collapse due to the weight. Gather any items dropped and break open the crates before you crawl through the vent and head back to the main room again where the camera focuses on the pinned zombie on the wall. As you probably guessed, you need to use the crossbow to pin the zombies to the wall so you can jump across and collect the Simmons Family Ring.

Return to the room with the hanging zombies and examine the door at the back to exit the underground and grapple across the area until you find the skull with missing pieces that cloaked zombies seem to be wearing.

Break open the crates on the first floor and then climb the ladder to more crates and a room full of zombies. Kill the zombies and then pursue the cloaked zombie into another room will cells, that will once again release a hoard of zombies. Continue into the final hoard and kill all the enemies, including the cloaked one, and pick up the Skull's Gold Tooth.

Head through the vent back to the main room and place the tooth on the skull.

Switch to your Ammo Box 50 and then grapple up to the other ladder. As you walk into the room you will fall into a trap with a spinning blade. Immediately hold down on your L stick and hit X/A to crawl away. When the path turns to Ada's right, hit L1/LT to arm yourself and crawl forward as you kill two spitting zombies. Once they are dead, continue to crawl forward and take a left when a Whopper blocks your path.

Exit the crawl space and attack the cloacked zombie, ignoring the Whopper. Once you defeat the cloacked zombie, grab the Skull's Red Eye and the skill points dropped by the Whopper, who has probably been killed by the spinning blades. Return to the skull and place the eye to continue and get the Simmons Family Crest Piece C.

Follow the path to the crypt exit and place the final two pieces to drop into another room. Immediately turn around and look up for another Serpent Emblem and then continue to the altar corridor.

.

Altar Corridor

The following section you should know how to play, due to completing Leon's Campaign.

When Deborah first mutates, a single hit on her glowing orbs will drop you into the depths and split you and Leon up from Helena. Follow the path, using the partner actions to get across the gaps, until you reach the first major fight with Deborah.

Focus on her glowing spots and keep moving. Watch out for when she drops down and tries to pounch on you as you lure her to the TNT crates and use them to blow her up. When enough damage is dealt, you will drop below and be with Helena this time.

Jump into the cart and cover Leon as he makes his way down and eventually joins you. Ride it, avoiding the obstacles and shooting the TNT crates that block your path. When you crash at the bottom, wait for Leon to save you and then take out Deborah to save Helena.

When you have control of Ada again, continue forward to break open the pots and ride the elevator to the underground lab.

.

Underground Lab

Break the crates outside the elevator and head through the door where there are two Whoopers you'll want to kill. Use grenades, the generators, and your Shotgun focused on their legs to take them out and get the Laboratory Key.

Once they are dead, clear the area of crates and head to the stairs near the water, where another Whooper will come in for the attack. Kill the beast and then head back to the steps to shoot a Serpent Emblem.

Once the whole area is clear, go to the door on the opposite side of the area and unlock the door to grapple up to another Whooper. Kill the thing and then break the crates as you advance, but be careful of the Napad that burst through the door. Kill it with your Shotgun and get then get the 4,000 Skill Points from the chest that was caged with it.

Continue on to another crate and hallway, where a Napad burst through, and then jump down into the water. Instead of running down the tunnel, turn around to shoot a Serpent Emblem and open some crates. Continue down the tunnel, under the grate, and grapple up to the experiment room.

You know this area from Leon's Campaign and while the chrystalis did not break then, they will break soon enough. Clear the area of crates and then continue to set off the alarm and have all the chrystalis' break and release Napads. Luckily, the Napad's will not all break at the same time, so kill them quickly and you will be much safer. Start by luring each into a generator and shooting it with your handgun and then unload a Shotgun or Sniper Rifle into it until dead. Watch the red arrows to make sure nothing is coming from behind and when all enemies are defeated the doors will open.

Finish breaking all the crates in the area and continue to the room where Leon saw the tape of a chrystalis Ada to watch it as well.

Chapter 3

June 30, 2013 / Waiyip, China

.

Tenement - Bin Street

Follow the soldiers to the playground and take a moment to slide down the yellow slide for a medal. The gate that you went through as Chris is blocked, so head to the left and hop on the box near the other red gate and grapple to an area with two J'avo. Kill them and exit to the street where two Rua-Srp attack.

Make your way up the street, killing two more J'avo that jump down, and check the stalls nearby for 100 Skill Points x2, Normal Arrows, 50 Skills Points, and a Serpent Emblem in the stall on the left by the blockade. Make your way around to the back of the left stalls, by backtracking and entering a gap to go behind them, and continue to two more J'avo.

Head into the stall with the dangling white butterflies in front of you for some Pipe Bomb Arrows on the blue container and then up the street to the stall in the right hand corner for a First Aid Spray. Grab the 9mm Ammo on a table by the door and the bust in on some J'avo. One of these J'avo will always turn into a Strelats, which you can defeat with a melee combo QTE (R1/RT, X/A, R1 or Square / RT or X).

Exit into the alley and break the crates before advancing and killing another J'avo. Afterwards, hug the right wall to enter a gap that takes you behind the burning vehicles to a Serpent Emblem. Continue forward and check the stalls for Normal Arrows, 300 Skill Points, 12-Gauge Shells, and 9mm Ammo while a Strelats runs around intimidating you. Once you have the items, head to the back area to take out a J'avo and any Strelats that are alive and then jump the fence and grapple over the bus.

.

Shopping District

As you enter a chrystlis will break open to reveal Ubistvo, but now is not the time to fight. Instead, run for your lift across the bamboo walkways, across gaps, and over or under obstacles until you escape.

Before dropping into the area, snipe as many zombies as you can (a total of 9) and then gather all the drops, crates, Green Herb, and 2,000 Skill Points before you grab the Back Street Key from the corpse and reanimate the zombie.

When you try to open the nearby door the Ubistvo will reappear and steal the key.

Ubistvo

Use the ladders to climb up and shoot Ubistvo from a distance as much as possible. When he jumps up, get in a few shots before you jump down to lure him off the awning.

The main thing to watch out for is the zombies crawling around that can hold you until Ubistvo comes over and kills you. Shoot them with a quick shot or simply avoid them as you use the levels to defeat Ubistvo.

After you retreive the Back Street Key again, kill any remaining zombies and head for the exit. Collect the items from the crate and then automatically board a moving bus.

Ubistvo - Cont.

You don't want to fight Ubistvo this time, simply run to the end of the bus and hit X/A to grapple to the other side. Do this until a low hanging sign knocks him off, while avoiding it yourself by grappling away.

When the bus stops, look toward the bamboo walkway and shoot the Serpent Emblem in back quickly before the bus is underway again. As the bus reverses, continue the tactic of grappling to avoid him until you reach a railway and automatically grapple up.

Ubistvo is much slower and attacks in a straight line. Use your Pipe Bomb Arrows and quick shot him to cause massive damage to his body as you break the crates open and gather items. Keep moving and melee him when he is stunned.

Eventually, a train will come down the track for a section of QTE's (Square/X, R1/RT, and, X/A). You will once again find yourself on the tracks in a new area with new crates. Continue the same strategy as before until the BSAA get on the radio and another train comes by. This time, rotate the L stick to prevent Ubistvo's attack and you will escape via the train.

.

Train

Run through the train and grapple up to view Leon and Helena crash, magnificently, and then you'll automatically grapple into an apartment building. Head inside and break the crates and look in to bottom right corner of the stairs as you walk down to find a Serpent Emblem hiding behind the crates, barely visible. Enter the house, break some crates, and leave through the other side of the area.

.

Stilt Housing Area

Don't worry about Jake and Sherry too much, as they are undefeatable, and head across the girders to gather plenty of Sniper Rifle ammo from the crates and vases. Continue all the way to the end, and jump down on the hanging girders for a bunch of crates and then shoot Ubistvo until it plows into the neon sign.

Grapple across the gap in front of you and continue along the path for more crates and vases until you land high above the area on a crane. Watch as Jake and Sherry avoid the Ubitsvo and then battle it until the camera changes and then hit X/A to shoot the girders down and save the day.

The platform will change locations now, allowing you to jump off onto a rooftop. Wait there for a prompt and then hit X/A to grapple-save Sherry as the Ubistvo is destroyed in the helicopter blades.

When you have control again, follow the linear path and hop on the jetski to finish the level.

Chapter 4

.

Aircraft Carrier - Forward Hanger

You will enter the hanger where Chris and Piers exit after gathering the three passcodes. Head forward and kill the unaware J'avo and the head left to break open a crate before turning around and going the other way.

Continue forward slowly, stealth killing any J'avo you come across, and then examine the door opposite the one Chris and Piers open to activate the passcode locations.

Passcode A

Turn around and take cover on the oppsoite wall, where you enter Chris' passcodes, and wait for the J'avo to enter the area and turn around for a quick stealth kill. You can now gather the Passcode A via your device, leaving it for Chris and Piers to get later, and then back away as a Rasklapanje drops down from above.

Defeat the Rasklapanje and J'avo that enter the area before you advance.

Passcode B

Head through the door, down the hall, and take the left into the mess hall. By now, the Rasklapanje may have revived and need to be killed again. Enter the door on the other side of the mess hall and follow the path to the next closest passcode inside the room with the one-way door.

The J'avo will likely see you, so kill it and try to collect the Passcode when a Rasklapanje eats it and runs off. Rather than go after it, wait for it to return to reclaim Passcode B.

Passcode C

From the room with Passcode B, take a left and then hug the right wall to a room with 5,000 Skill Points, the Bear Commander, and a First Aid Spray in the bathroom. Exit the area and take a right and follow the path until a pipe ruptures and quickly hit X/A when prompted and then defeat the other Rasklapanje that drops down behind you while the fire is put out.

Head down the path and be ready for an ambush of J'avo and Rasklapanje. Take out most of the enemies with the Bear Commander's Explosive Round and then finish up any stragglers before entering the room with the machine-gun J'avo and killing him for Passcode C.

.

Leave the room and head right down the hall, back to the stairwell, and take it up to the beginning where you can input the codes. Two Rasklapanje wait on the other side, so use the Bear Commander's explosive rounds to take them out and then head up the stairs for a crate and grapple upstairs. Wait for the dialog to finish and then examine the elevator button.

.

Aircraft Carrier - Bridge

Grapple up and enter the bulkhead door, just as Chris and Piers arrive, and then slide under the closing door. Grab the Green Herb in front of you and head up the stairs. You should see a bunch of J'avo hanging out in a room; this is the indicator for the start of an area that stealth = trophy/achievement.

Head through the open doorway nearby and quickly dash around the central object and grapple to the upper level from the back side of the area. If you get caught in the light, you will be detected and surrounded.

On the upper level, shoot the Serpent Emblem and head inside to a vent, where you get to watch Chris and Piers fight it out below. Exit the duct and follow the path down the corridors, ignoring the side rooms as you can easily get seen by the J'avo inside. Keep moving, carefully, until you reach the control room.

Wait for the Gnezdo to start walking by the far side of the room and then rush in to hit the button and jump outside. The open hatch leads to another area with spotlights, so be ready to run. Hop over the first obstacle and then make sure you are as close to the far wall as possible and crawl into the vent when prompted (if you are sighted you'll have to quit to the main menu and restart the whole section, since a checkpoint won't work).

Hide behind the metal sheeting until the light passes and then move forward to the next metal sheeting and wait again. When the light passes, get out and dash around the other side to grapple upstairs.

Head right and break open the crates and then be careful walking left. Take cover on the left wall and peek out quickly to get aim on his head and then let yourself go back into cover. When you are ready, peek out to headshot the bastard and then go around the side. Duck under the windows to avoid being spotted by the J'avo and move to the ladder.

Inside the room, there is a vent and two spider-like Noga-Trchanje. Hop onto your back and wait for them to stop moving before shooting them with your Crossbow and then crawl across the battle below to the objective and continue to a cutscene.

When you have control again, head downstairs and jump into a hatch where a J'avo patrols. Wait for it to walk away from you and then rush in for a stealth kill. CHeak the area for a crate and Serpent Emblem and then take the elevator to 5.56mm Ammo x2 and head for Carla's corpse.

.

Aircraft Carrier Interior

Start by breaking the crate and shooting the Serpent Emblem near the hatch before you jump down. As you head forward, Carla will start goo her way through the ship's interior. Dash forward and take a right all the way down the stairs and open the hatch below.

The next room will likely have a Carla Spore, which is slow and deadly. Break open the crate and then shoot the glowing bulbs on the door to advance. Head down the hall, turn right, and enter a room with a Green Herb. Take a right again and you will be grabbed by the wall and have to rotate the L stick to get free. Do this twice and then open two bulkhead doors.

The face in the upper left corner of this room will lunge forward to attack you, so stay away. Shoot it with the Bear Commander and when it stops attack rush under it into the doorway and then turn around to shoot a Serpent Emblem.

Shoot the Carla face in the wall to run past and then hit the blue canisters on the floor with a quick shot to prevent a Carla face from eating you as you turn the valve to exit the room.

Kick open the crate and turn the corner and be prepared to dash. Start by holding up on the L stick as you dash and the quickly rotate the L stick when the wall grabs you. Now hold down on the L stick and continue to dash over obstacles. If you are unlucky, a second wall will grab you and likely cause death. When Ada grapples out and the slow-mo activates, shoot the blue canisters to prevent death.

The glowing bulbs nearby drop ammo again, so take a second to destroy them and then continue.

Carla Spore

Equip your Bear Commander and use any of the rounds you have left to take out the eyes of the Carla Spore and it's main attack.

The object is to create a hole and then shoot an explosive arrow through the gap before she regenerates it to explode the massive amount of nitrogen canisters behind her.

As Carla Spores walk around the room trying to prevent you from attacking, switch to your Pipe Bomb arrows and toss them into the same spot on Carla's face to create a hole.

Hopefully, you have a large amount of ammo left, but if you find you're running low, shoot the glowing bulbs throughout the room to get more ammo. When you do manage to explode the canisters, head forward and hop on the elevator.

Chapter 5

.

High-Rise Area

July 1, 2013 / Tatchi, China

So not are vehicles suck in RE6, and Ada gets the first cool one with her stolen helicopter. As you arrive to save Leon and Helena, you can only move the helicopter around in limited acces, but holding L1/LT allows you to fire away from center. Start by holding L1/LT and aim into the back of the yellow truck on the left to shoot a Serpent Emblem and then cover Leon.

When Leon and Helena move on, you will be flying down a street and come across two helicopters that you can shoot down. Focus on avoding fire, particularly the rocket launchers from the second helicopter, and then be confronted with a two-on-one scenario. Focus on taking out the machine gun helicopter, the closest, while weaving back and forth to avoid the rocket launchers.

When you come into contact with the attack helicopter, drop below the building and look to the right to shoot a Serpent Emblem. When the attack helicopter finishes a barrage of fire, pop up and do some damage with your main guns. You can bob and weave around to avoid fire, but ducking back behind the building is the best cover. Continue your assault until the chooper goes down.

.

Quad Tower Entrance

Simmons (T-Rex Form)

Fire on Simmons and keep up the assault as you move around the arena. Make sure you don't stay in one place too much, as Simmons will do a flip and hit the helicopter to cause some massive damage. Don't forget that although you are in a helicopter, the red explosive barrels in the arena are just as useful to you now as they were when you fought as Leon or Helena.

When the BSAA jeep shows up, Ada will automatically take over flying. Keep your sights on Simmons and keep up the fire until the jeep crashes.

After the crash, continue your assualt on Simmons, using rockets as needed since you won't have need of them later. When he finally goes down, Ada will fly off and leave Leon and Helena on their own.

.

Quad Tower Roof

Ada will spot some human survivors by green smoke about to be eaten by a hoard of zombies. Move the chopper around to get a good angle on the zombies and then fire upon them until dead.

When you move on to the second roof, move the helicopter to the left and look at the area below the main roof to find a Serpent Emblem. Quickly deal with the emblem and then shoot the zombies, causing the lightning rod to impale a zombie below and allowing Leon and Helena to defeat Simmons.

The third and final roof in the helicopter consists of armored BSAA members and some Whoopers. Take them out so you can land and then grab all their drops, while leaving a present for Leon in the form of a kiss on a Rocket Launcher.

Head down the stairs nearby and break open the many crates for random items and then make sure to grab the First Aid Spray and Pipe Bomb Arrows from the chest before you head back up top and grapple to a girder via the opposite side of the helipad.

When you land on the girder, look at the clothed building on the right and in the bottom left corner is the last Serpent Emblem in the game. You can now run to the end of the girder to grapple to a rooftop where a Green Herb, a door, and your final battle with Simmons awaits.

Simmons (Chimera)

As you ride the elevator, avoid Simmons fire until the elevator collapses and you grapple to the same platform as the man himself. You have fought half this battle before, if you played Leon, so not much should surprise you.

The first round with Simmons is more of a dodging game, as you can not inflict much damage. There are a few major attacks that Simmons can perform:

  • Shoots a gatling gun like tail at you, which can be avoiding by moving to the right or left
  • Charges in your direction, which can be avoiding by dash and sliding on one side or simply dodging
  • Sweeps his tail in a vertical or horizontal path, which can be avoiding by staying your distance or ducking/falling to your back

With these main attacks in mind, avoid Simmons until the bridge collapses.

When you arrive on land, you will now have to attack Simmons, with Leon and Helena's help. Let them dish out the damage as you avoid his attacks and when he turns human and kneels, rush in to hit R1/RT and rapidly hit X/A for a melee attack (the same you perform as Leon or Helena in your fights with Simmons).

Eventually, the bridge will collapse again and this time Leon and Helena are in trouble. Take out the zombies nearby and then focus on shooting Simmons as he chasing after your two allies on the elevator cable. Keep him from getting up close to Leon, while watching yourself for any zombies, until he crashes into you and Leon comes to the rescue.

The battle with Leon and Ada requires the same strategy as when you were fighting him alone. Keep moving to avoid his attacks and melee him when he goes into human form. When you have dealt enough damage, Leon will be in trouble. Rush up to Simmons and hit O/B to partner assist Leon and defeat Simmons.

Agent Hunt

Agent Hunt allows the player to assume the rule of RE6 monsters and gives them the opportunity to take out other players in online play. It's creature has their own attacks and abilities, and strengths and weaknesses. In general, defeating an Agent in this mode can be very difficult alone and takes strategic use of each creature's abilities.

The Mercenaries

Returning from Resident Evil 5, Mercenaries Mode will support cooperative play.

Allowing you to select your favorite character and take on hoards of enemies until time runs out, it will include new features such as:

  • Traps
  • Counter Attacks
  • Unique kills based on weapons

.

Mercenaries Basics

After selecting a character and map, the player will be dropped into a location with 2 minutes to get as many points as possible by defeating enemies. Although your time is limited, you can increase it by killing enemies in unique ways and finding Hourglasses and breaking them with melee attacks.

There are also green hourglasses that, when broken, give you 30 seconds of Combo Time where you gain 1000 extra points for each additional combo you perform as long as it is active.

.

Time Bonuses

Time Bonus Condition Time Granted
Yellow Hourglass 30, 60 or 90 seconds
Melee Weapon/Attack Kills 5 seconds
Coup de Graces 7 seconds
Counter Kill 10 seconds

Yellow Hourglasses appear in the same location each round with a fixed amount of time on it. Learn these locations, per level, to increase your time within the level.

Melee Weapons include:

  • Combat Knife
  • Survival Knife
  • Stun Rod
  • Hand-to-Hand

.

Scoring

No matter how you kill an enemy they will increase the combo bonus, which grants you a certain amount of points. If you manage to kill the secret boss of each level within that chain, you will gain a bonus dependant on where in the chain it is killed.

Combo Amount Bonus Points Boss Bonus Combo Amount Bonus Points Boss Bonus

Enemy Points

Each enemy has it's own amount of points gained, no matter how it is killed. While some enemies are not worth very much in points themselves, they do increase the Combo and are usually worth the quick kill to keep the chain going.

Enemy Type Points Rewarded
Zombies 300
J'avo 300
Zombie Dog 100
J'avo w/ 1 mutation 500
Bloodshot 600
Shrieker 800
Whooper 1,000
Napad 1,500
Strelats 1,500
Gnezdo 3,000

If you manage to kill 150 enemies before time runs out, you gain another 200 points for every second left on the clock.

.

Ranking

Ranking is dependant on the number of points you earn. Note that multiplayer not only requires more points, but the enemies are also more difficult to kill.

Points Required
Rank Single Player Multiplayer
E 0 - 39,999 0 - 59,999

Characters and Load-Outs

Leon S. Kennedy

Default
Wing Shooter x18
Shotgun x8
Remote Bomb x4
9mm Ammo x50
12-Gauge Shells x8
Health Tabelts x8

Leon's default load-out is extremely weak, in comparison to many other characters. His Wing Shooter is not powerful and the Shotgun has a long delay. Focus on using the Wing Shooter and melee attacks and saving the Shotgun and Remote Bombs for stronger enemies.

Overall, it is a mediocre load-out.

Pirate
Assault Rifle RN x30
Sniper Rifle x6
Grenade Laucher x5
5.56mm Ammo x60
7.62mm Ammo x30
Health Tablets x4

Unlike his default load-out, this one has powerful weapons that can help you take on many levels with ease.

The Assault Rifle RN is not only a powerful default weapon, it is useful for stunning enemies and taking them out with melee attacks. The Sniper Rifle is also powerful and great for sniping long range enemies and keeping your chain up. If your inventory starts to get full, drop the 7.62mm rounds or use your other weapons more often. Save the Grenade Laucher for the strongest enemies, since the Assault Rifle RN can take most normal strong enemies out with ease.

.

Helena Harper

Default
Picador x16
Hydra x3
Grenade Launcher x6
9mm Ammo x50
10-Gauge Shells x30
Health Tablets x6

Helena's default load-out is filled with weapons for all kinds of occassions.

Stick to using the Picador for any ranged shots and use the Hydra to stun enemies for melee finishers. When you run out of Hydra ammo, do the same with the Picador. Make sure to save the Grenade Launcher to take down large and difficult enemies.

Bad Cop
Ammo Box 50 x50
Sniper Rifle x6
Herb (Red) x1
Incendiary Grenade x3
9mm Ammo x50
7.62mm Ammo x20

Helena's alternate load-out is difficult to work with due to the Ammo Box 50 being a rather weak firearm and the lack of Healing Tablets.

Start by using the Ammo Box 50 to stun and melee finish enemies is usually your best bet. Keep moving and shoot any ranged enemies with the Sniper Rifle.

For harder enemies, either keep on the move and shoot them from a distance with the Sniper Rifle or utilize the Quick Shot to avoid the delay from the scope. This is a great technique for armor enemies, as the rifle will lay them on their ass and allow you to stomp their heads.

.

Chris Redfield

Default
Assault Rifle for Special Tactis x30
Lightning Hawk x7
Combat Knife -
Hand Grenade x3
5.56mm Ammo x60
.50 Action-Express Magnum Ammo x7

Chris's default load-out is fairly powerful and should not be underestimated.

Using the Combat Knife for weak enemies can be beneficial in conserving ammo, but runs the risk of becoming overwhelmed or damaged.

Stick to the Assault Rifle for groups and only use the Lightning Hawk on stronger enemies.

Samurai
Nine-Oh-Nine x15
Shotgun x8
Rocket Launcher x1
9mm Ammo x50
12-Gauge Shells x20
Healing Tablets x6

Chris's alternate load-out is probably the weakest character load-out in Mercenaries due to a weak handgun and the basic Shotgun, which is extremely slow.

Although it has the extremely powerful Rocket Launcher, save this for a huge group of enemies, rather than a single strong one.

Stick to the tactic of shooting an enemy to stun and finishing with a melee attack.

.

Piers Nivans

Default
MP-AF x30
Anti-Materiel Rifle x10
First-Aid Spray x1
Remote Bomb x3
9mm Ammo x50
AM Rifle Ammo x20
Healing Tablet x1

Piers' default load-out is extremely powerful due to the MP-AF and Anti-Materiel Rifle.

The MP-AF works dual function as a pistol and assault rifle, depending on which firing method you turn it to. It is best to use its single shot function and use finishers.

The Anti-Materiel Rifle is a great single-shot destroyer for most enemies. Save the ammo for harder enemies and don't be afraid to use its Quick Shot to destroy any enemy that gets too close.

Race Car Driver
Ammo Box 50 x50
Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle x5
Assault Shotgun x7
9mm Ammo x30
7.62mm Ammo x15
12-Gauge Shells x10
Healing Tablets x4

Piers' alternate load-out is powerful, but weak compared to the default loadout, primarily due to the lack of the Anti-Materiel Rifle. Switch between weapons as needed, using the Ammo Box 50 w/ finishers for weak enemies. Once again, the Sniper Rifle can be used for distance shots or Quick Shots for close range enemies.

.

Jake Muller

Default
Nine-Oh-Nine x15
Elephant Killer x5
Hand-to-Hand -
Flash Grenade x2
9mm Ammo x50
.500 Magnum Ammo x10
Healing Tablets x10

Jake's default load-out is built for melee against normal enemies and the magnum for heavy duty enemy ones.

Due to melee combat increasing time more than firearms, stick to the Hand-to-Hand weapon, which doesn't use your combat gauge.

Switch to the 909 when swarmed and save the Elephant Killer ammo for boss enemies. If you get it a pinch, throw a Flash Grenade.

Gangster
Survival Knife -
Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle x5
Grenade Launcher x6
First-Aid Spray x1
7.62mm Ammo x20
40mm Explosive Rounds x12
Healing Tablets x8

Jake's alternate load-out swaps the Hand-to-Hand for the Survival Knife.

Overall, this loadout is dangerous due to its need for clase quarters combat and lack of a handgun.

.

Sherry Birkin

'Default
Triple Shot x20
Lightning Hawk x7
Stun Rod -
Herb (Red) x2
First-Aid Spray x1
9mm Ammo x30
.50 Action Express Magnum Ammo x10
Healing Tablet x1

Sherrys's default load-out is built to keep you alive. With a First-Aid Spray for a full heal and Red Herbs to quickly fill your case with.

Since the herbs are taking up space, causing a lack of ammo, it is important to quickly find a Green Herb to free up space.

Use the Triple Shot in single fire mode, to conserve ammo, and don't be afraid to use your Stun Rod to gain melee finishers. Watch out for the enemies fying from the charged Stun Rod's fire, as this does not net you extra time.

Save the Lightning Hawk for major enemies like Bloodshots and Napad.

School Girl
Bear Commander x30
Assault Shotgun x7
Herb (Red) x2
First-Aid Spray x1
Flash Grenade x2
5.56mm Ammo x60
12-Gauge Shells x20
40mm Explosive Rounds x3
Healing Tablet x1

Sherry's alternate load-out is powerful, but limits the enemy to only 2 weapons. That being said, these are two powerful weapons.

Once again, find Green Herbs asap to make inventory space.

Stick to using the Bear Commander in normal fire mode to damage enemies and then use melee finishers.

Save the Shotgun for bigger, more defensive enemies, to save Bear Commander ammo and only use the explosive rounds on bosses.

.

Ada Wong

'Default
Ammo Box 50 x50
Crossbow x1
Incendiary Grenade x3
9mm Ammo x30
Arrow (Normal) x60
Arrow (Pipe Bomb) x30
Healing Tablets x8

Ada's default load-out is all about her Crossbow, as the Ammo Box 50 is rather weak.

Although the Crossbow is super powerful, it requires you to hit the enemy in its weak spot to be greatly effective. That being said, it has the ability to kill even the strongest enemies in one shot. If not, the enemy will be pinned down and can be dispatched through melee.

Save the Pipe Bomb arrows for tough enemies like Whoppers and Napads or very large groups.

'Chinese
MP-AF x30
Sniper Rifle x6
Herb (Red) x2
Hand Grenade x3
Flash Grenade x2
9mm Ammo x30
7.62mm Ammo x6
Healing Tablet x1

Ada's alternate load-out drops the powerful, but accuracy required, Crossbow for multiple other guns.

Similar to Piers' default load-out, you'll want to use the MP-AF for damage and melee finishers and the Sniper Rifle for ranged fire or Quick Shots.

Like Sherry, the Red Herbs take up inventory space and should be combined and cased asap.

Save the grenades for large groups or tough enemies.

.

Carla Radames

'Default
Picador x16
Grenade Launcher x6
9mm Ammo x50
40mm Acid Rounds x12
40mm Nitrogen Rounds x6
Healing Tablets x6

Carla's default load-out lacking, considering how annoying she is throughout the campaigns. It is limited to a handgun and Grenade Launcher, which is a pain to switch between ammo if you do not know the icons.

Since enemies don't drop Grenade Launcher ammo, you will need to save it for the perfect moment. The Explosive Rounds should only be used on bosses, while the Acid and Nitrogen rounds should only be used on groups.

The upside of only one ammo drop is that you will have a ton of it. Use it as needed and use coup de grace finishers to get bonus time.

Overall, it is a difficult character to work with.

.

Equipment & Items

Health Items

Unlike previous Resident Evil games, healing herbs do not directly heal your life, but are used to gain Health Tablets. While the player still finds herbs throughout the game, they can not be used directly to heal you. Instead, the player must convert them into tablets.

Tablets, which are not part of the characters inventory, can then be used one at a time to heal one of the players health blocks. The number of tablets currently available is visible on the HUD and the player can hold up to 12/17.

Herb Combination # of Tablets Created
Green Herb 1
Herb (G + G) 3
Herb (G+ G+ G) 6
Herb (R+G) 6

Unlike herbs, First Aid Sprays are stackable and are not stored in your case to gain Health Tablets. Equipped like a Grenade, by pressing up or down on the D-pad, the spray restores your health to full no matter how depleted it is. An added bonus is that these can be used on the move while avoiding enemy attacks.

Chess Pieces

Chess Pieces are items dropped by enemies as loot and are actually skill points used to gain Skills to aid in your campaign. Sometimes they can also be found in chests.

In general, the harder the enemy the bigger piece they will drop and the more skill points you recieve. The only exception to this rule is when you are playing Mercenaries Mode in which the higher value pieces are often dropped when you achieve a higher combo chain.

Piece Name Skill Point Value Known Enemy Drops
Pawn 50
Knight 100
Bishop 300
Rook (Bronze) 500
Rook (Silver) 1,500
Rook (Gold) 3,000
Queen (Bronze) 1,000
Queen (Silver) 2,500
Queen (Gold) 5,000
King (Bronze) 2,000
King (Silver) 4,000
King (Gold) 10,000

Weapons

Handguns

Nine-Oh-Nine (909)

Both Chris and Jake start with this weapon as their standard handgun. The decent sized clip and fast firing rate make it useful in a pinch, but unremarkable in any other way. The only real advantage, ammo stacking which allows you to save inventory space.

Chris / Jake
Ammo Type 9mm Ammo
Clip Size 15
Power 150
Critical Chance 12.5
Reload Speed A
Firing Speed A

Wing Shooter

Leon's default weapon, it has a larger clip than most handguns and can be dual-wielded. As a result of this increase, the player can unload large amount of bullets without needing to reload. Check out the unique Quick Shots and reload animations when using.

Picador

Similar to the Nine-Oh-Nine as a standard handgun, but with an additional bullet per clip. It is only useful until stronger weapons are found or as a backup. Keep some ammo on hand for this gun, as it takes very little inventory space.

Shotguns

Shotgun

This classic Resident Evil weapon is designed to shoot a large spread into a crowd. Although the damage is best at close range, it is also effective at a distance and can be used in almost any circumstance. The Quick Shot is also great for fast moving targets that are hard to target with your handgun.

Leon & Helena / Jake & Sherry
Ammo Type 12-Gauge Shells
Clip Size 8
Power Far - 140 x 7
Close - 180 x 7
Reload Speed C
Firing Speed C

Assault Shotgun

A new twist on the classic Resident Evil weapon, it is designed to shoot a large spread into a crowd. The advantage it has over the normal Shotgun is the firing speed, but lacks the additional bullet. Although the damage is best at close range, it is also effective at a distance and can be used in almost any circumstance. The Quick Shot is also great for fast moving targets that are hard to target with your handgun.

Chris & Piers / Ada
Ammo Type 12-Gauge Shells
Clip Size 7
Power Far - 150 x 7
Close - 170 x 7
Reload Speed C
Firing Speed B

Hydra

Resident Evil 5's strongest Shotgun returns, but lacks the power of its predecessor. Ineffective at long ranges, at close range it is deadly due to its power and ability to shoot as fast as you can pull the trigger. The three shot limit before reloading and the unique ammo makes it more of a hassle than a benefit.

Magnums

Elephant Killer

This gun is similar to the Lightning Hawk, but with additional damage, firing delay, and a smaller clip size. As expected, this is your go to gun for powerful or strong enemies that pose a challenge with the less powerful weapons.

Leon & Helena
Ammo Type .50 Action Express Magnum Ammo
Clip Size 5
Power 1,600
Critical Chance 12.5
Reload Speed C

Lightning Hawk

At first glance this gun looks like a normal handgun, but actually is a powerful magnum and can mow down any enemy in your path. Ammo for this gun is rare, but it stacks well and allows you to build up a supply in between boss fights.

Ammo Type .50 Action Express Magnum Ammo

Sniper Rifles

Sniper Rifle

Like all Sniper Rifles, this one allows you to zoom in and support your partner from a distance when you are separated. Due to it's slow firing speed and reload speed, shots should be precise to make your shots count.

Jake & Sherry / Ada
Ammo Type 7.62mm Ammo
Clip Size 6
Power 700
Critical Chance 100
Reload Speed C
Firing Speed C-

Semi-Automatic Sniper Rifle

The Semi-Automatic Sniper Rifle is much faster than the standard Sniper Rifle and allows you to shoot multiple targets from long distances quickly. Although it has a smaller clip, you stay scoped in between each shot and can lock in on a target and use the clip quickly and effectively.

Leon & Helena / Chris & Piers
Ammo Type 7.62mm Ammo
Clip Size 5
Power 600
Critical Chance 75

Firing Speed B+

Anti-Materiel Rifle

Like all the other rifles, this one also allows you to zoom in on your target, but with the additional bonus of a Thermal Scope, which lets you find living enemies from a distance. The rifle is incredibly powerful, but the long delay between shots can leave the player vulnerable if a shot is missed.
