Donations

While I do write all of my guides for free, it does take a lot of time and effort to put them together. If you're feeling generous and want to show your appreciation, I am gladly accepting donations. I don't know exactly what the donations will be used for, but just know that you would definitely be helping me make more quality FAQs! Even the smallest donation amounts are appreciated, and they are a great way to say how much you appreciate the work I do. Introduction

Welcome to another one of my FAQs. This particular FAQ covers Jeep Jamboree. ... It's a generic racing game; that's all I have to say about it. -_-

It's been over twenty years since this game's initial launch back in 1992 by Gremlin. And since then, not a single FAQ has been written for it. Well, there's always a first time for everything, no? Ever since the start of the GB FAQ Completion Project on GameFAQs several years ago - a project designed to get a guide out for every single GB game out there - many people have now been helped because older, rarer, less popular games have gotten guides.

And so, that is how I came upon this game. Thanks for listening to my ramblin'; hope you enjoy!

Game Controls

Button Resultant Effects
D-Pad Steer left or right; speed up (Up).
A Button Accelerate.
B Button Slow down and brake.
Start Button Pause/unpause gameplay.
Select Button N/A

Before the Race...

There's not a lot, to be honest. First, you'll choose your name in the usual manner for arcade games - Up/Down on the D-Pad shifts through the letters, Right on the D-Pad goes on to the next, and the A Button confirms the whole thing.

Next, you'll deal with some basic settings.

  • Difficulty Level: Goes from Novice (Easy), Intermediate (Medium), and Pro (Hard).
  • Speed: Can be in miles per hour (mph) or kilometers per hour (km/h), whichever you prefer.
  • Steering: Do you go left or right around the track?
  • Track Map: Use it?
  • Chevrons: Use them?
  • Position Flash: Use it?

Next you'll choose how many players to use. Note that a two-player game will require two GameBoys hooked by a link cable. And, after this, you'll choose the obvious stuff.

Tracks

Which Season? (And Other Notes)

There are three different seasons from which you can play in this game. Each have different tracks for you to use, but the general mechanics are the same - the better you do in the race, the better. Below are the tracks, each of which links to a map for the track. In this game, given that each track is linear with no shortcuts or anything of the like, a map should be sufficient.

Short Season Tracks Intermediate Season Tracks Championship Season Tracks
Arch Canyon Adirondack Trails French Lick
Maine Mountains Rubicon Trail Ouachita Jamboree
Hole in the Rock Palo Duro Canyon Great Lakes
Lost Coast Mohawk Trail Ghost Town
Cajun Jamboree Pine Ridge D. Boone Jamboree
Ouray Jamboree Canyon de Chelly
Black Hills Rocky Mountain
Santa Fe Jamboree
Old Smokey Jamboree
Pacific Northwest
