If you find yourself on this guide then you likely are looking for help to complete a certain task or find a certain item. I spend hundreds of hours writing guides for fun, but my ultimate goal is to help people get through these games with ease. I love it when I receive emails from people saying they were able to complete a game because of my guide or simply have a question, so please feel free to contact me via the email in the Contact Information section of this guide.

My purpose for this guide is to help you complete Tomb Raider with a 100% game experience via a step-by-step walkthrough. It will point out all available Salvage locations and Collectibles on each map to help you purchase skills and upgrade weapons early, as well as detailed and uncomplicated puzzle solutions. I do my best to make these walkthroughs with as few spoilers as possible, so they have limited in-game event descriptions and are designed to guide you, not play the game for you.

Game Features

The following covers the core gameplay features, not including general controls or combat, that make up the most important parts of the game. Mastering these features will help you with the game's difficulty and allow you to traverse the story with little trouble.

Base Camps

As Lara makes her way through the island, she can set up camp in certain areas that are advantageous. Base Camps are the central hubs where Lara must frequently return to upgrade her Survival Skills and Weapons. In order to help the player find the way back to a Base Camp the game designers have created intuitive ways to naturally lead the player around the environment, such as steams or coastlines. Additionally, at most points in the game you can use Base Camps to fast travel to any previous location, allowing you to quickly go back and grab anything you missed.

Survival Skills

Survival Skills help Lara survive on the island, invisibly leveling her up, by gaining a skill point whenever a certain XP threshold is reached. XP is granted through story progression, by defeating enemies, and even hunting animals.

Once you have one or more skill points, return to any camp in the game to choose a skill to unlock the ability. There are three types of survival skills:

  • Survivor, which increases passive skills like finding Salvage or taking more damage.
  • Hunter, which increases your hunting and combat skills.
  • Brawler, which increases your melee combat abilities.

At the start of the game some survival skills are more useful than others, although you'll definitely want to invest into combat skills once you're about one third into the game. Skills that enhance Lara's Survival Instincts are especially useful when you're trying to collect every single collectible in the game.

Salvage & Weapon Upgrades

As Lara searches through the environments she can find crates with "Salvage", which is collected as XP used to upgrade weapons and tools. Find enough salvage and Lara can upgrade all her weapons, each with their own upgrades that can be anything from increasing ammo, adding a silencer, or adding additional weapon abilities like explosive arrows or burst fire.

Salvage can be found in crates on the ground or hanging in netting and require the Pry Axe to pry them open. Additionally, some weapons require Lara to find certain parts in Salvage crates or on enemy bodies to upgrade the weapons to the next level and unlock more abilities.

You'll have to decide for yourself which weapons you prefer to upgrade based on your play style.

Challenges

Most areas of the island have at least one challenge that usually involves finding and destroying an object. The number of objects is dependent on the challenge and the items can only be found in the area where the challenge began. To start a challenge, you must first find and destroy one of the objects and then the challenge will be listed and the number required to finish will appear on screen. Upon completion, Lara will gain a large amount of XP.

Hidden Tombs

Hidden Tombs are located throughout the game and are non-combat areas where Lara will need to solve a puzzle to reach a treasure. While not marked on the map, the game will indicate when Lara is near a tomb through dialogue, so make sure to have your volume on.

Each tomb grants Lara 1250 XP, 250 Salvage, and a Treasure Map.

Collectibles

Tomb Raider has a ton of collectibles on the island: Relics, Documents, GPS Caches, and even Salvage. Lara will gain XP for every collectible she finds and when she completes a sub category, such as all of the Helmet relics, she'll gain a big XP boost. Through relics and documents, Lara can gain a better understanding of history of the island and what has happened there. They can be viewed at any time through the games' menu and some relics can even be rotated to find hidden information in them.

Other unlisted one-time collectibles include Plants and Food Caches that net Lara small amounts of XP.

Movement & Navigation

Lara's adventure can be difficult due to the many obstacles that stand in her way, but with the following basic knowledge you should be able to navigate through the majority of the situations and keep her out of harm's way.

Wall Scramble

Lara has the ability to jump against any flat wall and jump again to scramble up to higher levels. This is a vital ability that you'll use frequently to climb over obstacles and up buildings. Walls that can be scrambled are generally marked with white paint, so keep your eyes open when you seem to have reached a dead end.

Climbing

In order to traverse most of the land Lara will need to climb many obstacles to advance through different environments. In general, Lara can climb almost any obstacle that a normal person would be able to climb, such as ladders and wooden rungs - simply jump onto an object and Lara will grab on if it's an acceptable object.

In some cases you'll find yourself on a ledge where Lara can't pull up, meaning you'll need to shimmy across the ledge to reach a different area. If there is a gap in the ledge you can jump sideways to other ledges or you can move up and down to other ledges to continue to traverse the area. Once again, most ledges that can be climbed are marked with white paint to indicate this.

Once you obtain the Climbing Axe near the beginning of the game you'll gain the ability to traverse craggy walls. In order to climb these, press /to pull out your Climbing Axe and latch on when she is near one. Like ledges, Lara can jump from one craggy wall to another, but make sure to press / again to reattach to the adjacent wall.

Survival Instincts

Survival Instincts is an ability that Lara uses to help her navigate through the environment. When enabled, the screen is desaturated and highlights important objects that are nearby, such as treasures and crafting ingredients. While using Survival Instincts often will ensure you don't miss any items and treasures, it can also be a helpful combat tool.

As you progress in the game, you can buy Survival Skills that add more features to the mode, such as highlighting animals and enemies.

Combat

The inhabitants of the island are vicious and won't hesitate to attack Lara on sight, meaning you'll need to use cunning and stealth to keep her safe. Master the following tips on combat and you'll be able to handle any situation Lara finds herself in.

Cover & Stealth

Lara will automatically crouch and take cover behind any waist-high walls, crates, and boxes when enemies are within range. This gives you some fair warning of when to take it slow and when the area is clear, since she'll automatically stand up when all enemies are defeated. Keep under cover as much as possible and only aim when the enemies are facing away, since Lara will pop up out of cover when she goes to fire.

While firing from cover is sometimes the best option, Lara can sneak up behind and enemy when their back is turned to perform stealth kills. Simply approach them carefully and pressing / to grab them and then tap / to strangle them to death.

Stuns & Finishing Moves

When an enemy takes damage they may fall over and become stunned, usually when shot in the lower portion of the body. When this happens an attack indicator will appear over the enemy's head that allows Lara to perform a finisher. Simply run up to the stunned enemy and press / and Lara will perform a deathly finisher, unique to the type of weapon she has equipped.

Dodge, Roll & Counter

Lara can dodge attacks by pressing / or roll by pressing it twice, allowing her to get further away from attackers. In addition, if you have purchased Lara's counterattack abilities in the Brawler section of her Survival Skills, an attack indicator will show up and allow Lara to defeat the enemy. This works great on shielded enemies who block your attacks, allow you to avoid their attacks and then kill them quickly.

Looting

Lara can loot any dead enemies by pressing / to find ammo and salvage, depending on which Survival Skills you've purchased.

Walkthrough

So it Begins

After the Endurance suffers a crash at the hands of a terrible storm, Lara is washed ashore a dark, stormy beach. While trying desperately to call for help to nearby survivors, who can't hear her over the stormy weather, a mysterious man knocks her out and our story begins.

Once you gain control, swing Lara left and right with the until the hanging cocoon to the right catches fire. Once the beam catches fire you can then swing Lara into it to free her, though she'll plummet onto a metal pipe far below. Quickly tap  [PS3/PS4] or  [Xbox 360/Xbox One] to pull the pipe out and stumble into the sacrificial chamber. Grab the Torch on the right side of the room and continue forward until you reach a dead end with some crates, which can be lit by holding / to reveal a path forward.

Continue through the path relight your torch in the next room, since the waterfall extinguished it, and use Survival Instincts to highlight vital objects in gold. Jump up on the platform to the left and light the cloth pole on fire, which will transfer the fire across the room and explode the debris in your way, and then move forward.

When an enemy jumps down and grabs Lara's ankle wiggle the  right and left to break free before the boulder crashes down, blocking his path. As you continue into the next room the first objective will pop up.

Force of Will

Find a Way Out

Move into the next cavern and light your torch to burn the posts on the right and left of the cage, raising it. This will drop a gate into the water that blocks the debris, allowing you to ignite it. You can now head up the ramp and jump to the cage, raising the gate and dropping the burning debris into the container on the right. This can be pushed by pressing / to release the debris out the other side, clearing the way. [250 XP]

As the place crumbles around you, run through the cavern and jump over the gaps and avoiding falling to your death or being crushed. When another man grabs Lara, wiggle the  to the left and right again to free Lara and prepare to tap / when the indicator is within the circle. Move through the tunnel and leap over the gap, slipping off the ledge. Crawl up the slope by alternating / [PS3], / [PS4], or and slowly, but prepare to move the  to the side when boulders come flying at you. [300 XP]

Signs of Life

Search for Traces of Other Survivors

Head down the cliffside until Lara notices the life boat and then follow the path to reach a log bridge. Slowly make your way across the log bridge and continue around the cliffside until you reach an old World War II bomber.

This is essentially a climbing tutorial, with ledges usually painted white to indicate they can be gripped. As you leap towards the plane, press / to reattach your grip before climbing up the roof by holding the . Jump across any gaps by pressing / and then shimmy across the wing to return to solid ground. [100 XP]

Continue along the path, using wall scramble to reach the ledge and pull yourself up to enter the camp for a scene.

Follow the Survivors' Trail

After getting the Two-Way Radio and a new objective, jump toward the nearby ledge. Although Lara does get a slight grip, you'll be unable to keep her held on and she'll fall into the Coastal Forest.

Take Shelter from the Storm

With the storm becoming more severe inland, you'll need to find shelter for the night. Follow the path to a cliff outcropping to find the Sheltered Ridge Base Camp and watch as Lara reflects on the events before the Endurance crashed via the video camera. [250 XP]

Woman Versus Wild

Search for Food

With the rain abating and Lara probably starving, head down the ridge and into the forest to look for grub to spot a corpse hanging from the tree above.

Find a Weapon to Hunt Deer

To reach the Makeshift Longbow, climb the side of the bunker and jump off the other side to the tree across from the bow. Reach for the bow at the right moment, when it is closest, to make it all yours. [250 XP]

Collect Meat from the Deer

Time to test out your new bow! Using standard aim and fire commands ( [PS3] or [PS4] / to aim and [PS3] or [PS4] / to fire) head out into the forest in search of deer. Move slowly and keep your distance to avoid scaring the animals, making them harder to hit, and when you have an animal in your sights hold down the fire button while aiming at the target's head to focus the fire for a one-hit kill. If the deer doesn't die, follow the wounded creature and take a second shot to kill it and then approach for a scene. [150 XP]

Return to Camp with the Meat

Before returning to the camp you have the opportunity to clear the Coastal Forest of its collectibles and challenge, so feel free to start exploring.

Each area will have a set of hidden objectives, called Challenges, that require you to destroy a number of objects for a major experience boost.

From the bunker look into the tree that the corpse was hanging from to shoot a Totem (1/10) and then run past the tree, following the path to an overturned truck with the Wartime Intelligence - Soldier: Oni Stalkers document. Return to the stream and head upstream a bit and then turn around to spot a wooden walkway that you can scramble up to. Follow the walkway to the end and scramble up another wall to the right to reach a dead end with the GPS Cache 1.

Return to the stream and follow it all the way to the bottom, where you drop down a short waterfall, and turn around to find the GPS Cache 2. Facing the waterfall, turn right to spot a fallen tree across a gap and a Totem (2/10) hanging from the right side of the tree. Head back to the top of the waterfall and check the large rock in the center of the area to find another walkway with the GPS Cache 3.

Hop off the other side of the walkway to drop back to the ground and then turn right and check the trees for another Totem (3/10), easily spotted with Survival Instincts to highlight it. Check the dark outskirts of the forest to the south for a Plant to gain 10 XP. Walk west into a clearing and then north, where two rocks will form a gap, and check the left side of the left rock formation for another Totem (4/10). If you continue west to the wall and then follow the wall back toward the camp you'll find another Plant and can then return to camp.

The final Totem (5/10) for this area is located past the camp, so crawl under the outcropping and when Lara uncrouches look out at the trees to find it hanging from the branches.

You can now freely hunt the deer, rabbits, and crows in this area for extra XP. Note that each area has an XP cap before you only gain 1 XP for each kill.

Return to camp once again and use it to purchase a skill and then back out of the menu for a scene. [150 XP]

There are many different types of Survival Skills and some are more useful than others at this point. Take a look through the menu to see what there is, but at this point you'll want to focus on skills that grant more XP or Salvage, such as Survivalist or Bone Collector.

Just Keep Moving

Find a Way Out of the Forest

Head back down into the forest and you'll notice the door to the bunker is now mysteriously left open. Head indoors for a quick scene [100 XP] and then take the ladder down by pressing /.

Explore the Bunker

Drop off the ladder and take a look at the markings that Lara mentions and then head down the flooded tunnel. There are two boxes in the bunker: one is a Food Cache with some XP and the other contains a Hannya Mask. Since the door is locked you'll need to find something to help you open it, so turn around and find the nearby crates that can be lit. Once the fire settles, head inside to find the Pry Axe. [250 XP]

With your new tool in hand, pry the door by repeatedly pressing / to open it.

You can now return to the bunker's entrance to open the door that closed behind you earlier, leading back to the Coastal Forest. Why would you want to do this? Well, there is a crate of Salvage located on a rock formation near the far northeastern area. Simply follow the river to the small waterfall and then look left to climb a rock, walk across the log bridge, and smash the crate.

Exit the Bunker

To continue, head to the door near the relic to pry it open and follow the linear path to exit the bunker. [100 XP]

Investigate the Strange Voices

As you exit the bunker the objective will change, so follow the voices until you reach the Forest Ruins Base Camp for a scene.

Survive the Wolf Attack

Once you gain control you'll be unable to move as the wolves circle in. Ready your bow and charge a shot, which will remain drawn until you fire, and follow the movement of the wolves. When you hear a growl, prepare to fire and defeat all three wolves. [100 XP]

Catch Up with Whitman

Before going anywhere you should use the camp to spend any skill points, while listening to Lara's Journals: Shipwrecked document.

While your objective is to make your way to Whitman, there's a forest full of goodies you'll want to collect before speaking with him. Start by using the nearby flame to light your torch and then burn the netting hanging nearby to claim the Salvage inside before checking the nearby desk for the Endurance Crew - Sam: Family Story.

Head toward the stairs behind the camp, but instead of taking the stairs you'll want to take the path on the right. Follow the path to the wooden planks and jump down to the rocks below to find the GPS Cache 4 on the left side of the rock. Cross the tree toward the white markings on the far wall to find the Endurance Crew - Sam: Feelings of Unease on the crate and then drop under the bridge to find the Female Noh Mask relic in a box.

Exit from under the bridge toward the eastern wall and head north to encounter some more wolves. These can be shot with the bow or combated with QTE's, but be prepared and use Survival Instinct to highlight them if you are having trouble spotting them. Continue north to find some Salvage to the left of the broken bridge, at the base of a tree, and then take the small ridge to the right of the broken bridge to find more Salvage. Look toward the gap in the bridge to spot a Totem (6/10), using Survival Instincts if needed to highlight it, and then use the arches above the bridge to jump across to a platform in the trees with the Coastal Forest Treasure Map.

Take the zipline to find a Plant near the lantern and then follow the edge of the stream to the right, straight toward some Salvage. Follow the stream west to find more Salvage on the left side of the stream, just past the bridge, and check behind it for even more Salvage against the wall. Cross the stream for another crate with Salvage and then continue up the stone steps to the north. Collect the Endurance Crew - Sam: Filmmaker document off the ground and then shoot the Totem (7/10) hanging from the roofing. Make sure to light your torch via the fire on the other side of the statue and then burn down the Salvage before dropping into the courtyard below for more Salvage.

Follow the wall north to find a small cave with the Oni Noh Mask, but be careful because if you go to far you'll encounter more wolves. Return to the stream and check under the bridge for another Totem (8/10) and then look left to find more Salvage, another set of wolves, and a Plant. The tree on the north side of the bridge has the Totem (9/10), so destroy it and then climb the rocks to the west to find the GPS Cache 5.

Drop off the rocks on the left side and follow the path up to find some Salvage in the bushes and even more Salvage as you turn the corner around the rocks to the right. You can now head to the camp to use your skill points before heading to the gate to catch up with Whitman. [100 XP]

At an Impasse

Find a Camp and Upgrade the Axe

Since the Pry Axe is too weak to move the wheel you'll need to strengthen it, but don't do that just yet. Before upgrading the axe you'll need to talk to Whitman multiple times, until the conversation bubble no longer appears, to make progress on the trophy/achievement Chatterbox. Once you are done speaking with Whitman, check the right side of the gate for the final Totem (10/10) and the left side for the Endurance Officers - Whitman: Don't Leave Me document.

Using the Gate day camp, upgrade the Pry Axe with Strengthen and open the large metal container at the camp for 50 Salvage.

Open the Large Gate

Before you return to Whitman head south through the arches, across the bridge, and straight to the Salvage beneath the tree bridge you crossed earlier. You can now return to the Base Camp to find another metal case with 50 Salvage at the top of the stairs before returning to Whitman to open the gate. [400 XP]

Mountain Rendezvous

Follow Dr. Whitman Up the Mountain

As Lara and Whitman head up the steps toward Roth they'll discuss the mysteries surrounding the island and the goddess.

Avoid Detection While Attempting to Escape

Thanks to some stupidity on the part of the natives, Lara is free to wander around while bound. You'll need to use the environment to avoid detection and since Lara will automatically take cover behind waist-high walls you shouldn't have a problem avoiding detection with a bit of smart maneuvers.

Quickly hide behind the wall straight ahead, then head up the path after the man walks by. Hide behind the wall to the left and wait for the nearest guard to move away and then ignore the men to the right and head straight for the building marked with white boards. Exit the other side of the building and wait for the guard to pass by and head upstairs. Near the top, wait for the guards to move left, then run into the hiding spot across the road.

After a short scene you'll need to prepare for another QTE to avoid death: /, /, aim at the target, wiggle the  right and left, repeatedly tap /, and then fire the gun.

Fight Back Against the Island's Inhabitants

With the Semi-Auto Pistol in hand, follow the path until you trigger a scene. Now that you have ammo and enemies, aim for the targets' head for quick kills and bonus XP. Once both enemies are dead, loot the bodies and pry the nearby door open.

Once inside the building, tap / to break open the boards and escape to the other side of the building. Make sure to grab the Food Cache before taking cover behind the wagon and then guard out will a well placed arrow to the head. Scramble up the wall and jump to the beams, shimmying around and climbing up to take cover behind the crates. Let the guards talk for a while and then headshot the nearest enemy with an arrow, quickly targeting the other and then shooting a third that comes crawling down a ladder. [100 XP]

Continue Up the Mountain to Regroup with Roth

Make sure to grab the Food Cache near the ladder and then climb up while you speak to Roth. At the top, grab the Salvage straight ahead and then jump into the nearby river to move through the crack behind the waterfall to find the Mountain Temple Treasure Map, as well as some salvage that needs some new gear. Return to the ladder and wall scramble up the painted wall to reach the upper level of the building for the GPS Cache 1 and then circle around the building for a Food Cache and the Mountain Temple Base Camp, where you can now use Fast Travel to go back to previous camps and get Lara's Journals: Nightmares.

Enter the cave near the waterfall for Salvage and the Diaries of a Madman: Stranded document and then across the bridge and head up the steps to find two more enemies. You can choose how to take them out, but a useful strategy is to distract one by firing an arrow nearby and then shooting the other in the head before quickly taking out the other guard.

After this, head around the left side of the building to shoot down a Lantern (1/5), starting the Challenge: Pyromaniac, and move over a tree bridge. Scramble up the wall to reach the upper floor of the building for some Salvage and then head east, across the stairs, to find a Plant in the grass. You can now climb over the ledge, marked in white, for a Food Cache and the GPS Cache 2 on the landing behind the building. When you're ready, return to the top of the stairs and scramble up to enter the building via a small opening.

Grab the Food Cache before you shoot the Lantern (2/5) to clear the debris and sneak through once the fire has cleared. The enemy on the other side has his back to you and is perfectly set up for a melee stealth kill, so carefully approach until you're in range and pres / and then quickly tap / to break his neck. You can repeat this on the next enemy, but be careful of the man carrying a flashlight on the bridge above.

While there is a Lantern (3/5) across the way, shooting it will result in a firefight that can make it hectic to get out due to the mass of enemies. We suggest that you at least locate this lantern in case you need to shoot it in a hurry, since it is missable, but try and take out more of the enemies through stealthy means before you shoot it. Once you have defeated the majority of the enemies, shoot the lantern to ignite the building on fire and draw out any remaining enemies. Don't stay too long in one place, as the building will begin to burn, and quickly defeat the remaining guards. After leaping over the gap, take the zipline to escape.

Grab the Confessions of a Solarii: Salvation immediately right of you as you drop from the zipline and then check the water for a Food Cache. Wade through the water and exit out the other side to find a Plant nearby and then return to where you dropped off the zipline.

Light your torch and scramble up the wooden wall to find some Salvage and enter the second floor of the building for the Green Folded Fan. Shoot the fourth Lantern (4/5) hanging from the roof and then drop off the ledge behind the nearby tree to find a gazebo with a Food Cache and the final Lantern (5/5). Return to the previous ledge and follow it around for a Plant and then then jump to the roof of the nearby building, which you can enter to find the Gunbai War Fan on the second floor. You can now return to the zipline and head through the arch to reach a thin crevice that leads to Roth.

Cry For Help

Find Roth's Pack

With Roth and Lara now reunited, Lara will gain access to the Village Plateau Base Camp and have to track down the wolves to retrieve the transmitter to radio for help.

The village is an expansive area with lots to discover and collect, but much of the area is currently inaccessible at this time. Jump into the water and search the base of the large waterfall for the GPS Cache 1 and then return to land. Light the Statue (1/10) at the center of the village to begin the Challenge: Illumination and then check the courtyard for a crate of Salvage before entering the nearest building to find netting with additional Salvage.

Return to the statue and wall scramble the building to the south to reach the roof for the GPS Cache 2. Jump to the roof above the statue and then across the hanging crate to reach the lower floor of the large building. Grab the Salvage and Silver Flask on the first floor and then take the stairs up and check near the barricaded door for the Ancient Scrolls - Ambassador: First Impression document. There is some Salvage in the next room and a netting of Salvage upstairs, which may require you to backtrack a bit to light your torch.

Exit onto the balcony of the building, toward the camp, and climb onto the roof to your right. Hop the gap to the western section of the roof to find a bird nest with some Eggs (1/5) inside to begin the Challenge: Egg Poacher. Hop to solid ground next to the roof to find the GPS Cache 3 and then drop to the ground on the unexplored side of the building. The GPS Cache 4 is next to the tombstones, near the stone lantern.

Climb up the front of the crashed plane and run through the body to reach an island via the plane wing to find some Salvage near the tree trunk with rope around it. Head back up the wing and find a well-hidden Salvage on a small ridge next to the stairs leading up to the tree that got hit by lightning. You can now climb up to cross the body of the plane and jump to the opposite side, climbing up to reach the area near the wolves den. Instead of entering the den, turn right and cross the bridge to find the GPS Cache 5 near the entrance to the cave at the base of the waterfall.

Return to the wolves den and head inside to find the radio. [500 XP].

Bring the Transmitter to Roth

As Lara exits the cave the large wolf will attack, triggering another QTE: quickly wiggle the , press / when prompted, and repeatedly tap / and then / to kill the beast. You can now exit the cave and walk right toward the fence, looking down at the wooden rooftop with the flashing GPS Cache 6. This can be reached by jumping over the fence before you return to Roth for a scene, in which you'll obtain the Climbing Axe. [500 XP]

Reach the Top of the Falls

Use the camp to unlock the Lara's Journals: Prepared for the Worst document and make sure to talk to Roth multiple times to progress the trophy/achievement. Survival Instincts will now point out rocky walls that can be climbed with the Climbing Axe, so test it out on the cliff wall directly across from the camp. Make sure to press / when you jump from one rocky wall to another, since Lara will lose her grip.

With the Climbing Axe now in hand, enter the cave behind the waterfall to find the first tomb.

Tomb of the Unworthy

Follow the linear path to reach a day camp and pass the waterfall to reach the actual puzzle room. Hop across the platform with the hanging corpses and quickly jump across again to light your torch. This will allow you to lighten the weight of the platform by burning the corpses, but you'll have to push the cage down on the other side to raise the platform up to the rock wall. Climb up to find the treasure for [250 XP] and then open the chest for another [1250 XP], 250 Salvage, and the Mountain Village Relic Map.

Head back outside and climb the rock wall next to the wolf den, then leap towards the rock wall in between the two waterfalls and climb to the top. Hide behind the crates and wait for the men to finish their conversation to take out out each of the guards silently with headshots and move towards the building of the two guards and turn around to kill the third one in the building across the river.

In the building where the third man was you'll find a crate of Salvage and the Ancient Scrolls - Ambassador: Discoveries document, while the opposite side has the GPS Cache 7. You may also notice the salvage hanging outside the window, but at the moment you don't have a torch. Climb to the balcony of the upper level to find a Food Cache and then scramble up again to find the Yagen relic. You can now scramble up to the roof, where there are some more Eggs (2/5) and from which you can finally reach the top of the waterfall.

Light your torch via the stone lantern near a net of Salvage and then light the Statue (2/10) on the opposite side of the waterfall. You can head back down to get the Salvage hanging from the netting you skipped a bit ago, but return to the stone lantern and jump to the roof of the nearby building for the GPS Cache 8. With all of the items cleared from the area, return to the stone lantern and jump to the rock wall to climb up and reach a bridge. You'll now need to run left quickly, since the bridge begins to break, and attach your axe to the rock wall as you leap towards it. [100 XP]

Find the Bunker

Climb up and listen to the communication with the other survivors and then slide down the zipline into the new area with some enemies that will automatically be aggressive. Focus on taking out the man who throws molotov cocktails at you and then finish off the one with a bow, before a third comes at you when you move forward. You can now light your torch to grab the Salvage in the net and then squeeze through the cavern to reach the Broken Tunnel Base Camp for a scene.

There is a Bronze Chinese Coin next to the tree in the base camp and a GPS Cache 1 hiding in the bushes on the right side of the disabled truck nearby. Once clear, continue forward while checking the left side of the path for a Plant and take cover behind another old truck. There are a large number of enemies ahead and a man attending a searchlight, who also mans a turret if you are discovered. Start by shooting the man on the spotlight and then take out the nearby guard, slowing moving forward and killing more guards further up the road. [100 XP]

Find a Way into the Bunker

Stealth kill the man outside the bunker, if you haven't already, and move to the far right (east) side other the concrete tower to find a Plant before your enter the bunker. Slowly sneak up to the welder and break his next and then head upstairs for a Bronze Japanese Coin behind the staircase entrance.

The guard on the spotlight may be dead, but there is another guard just around the corner that you'll want to carefully kill with a melee stealth kill before you take cover and look across the way to find two more guards. Wait for the pacing guard to move away, or distract him, and then kill the stationary guard. This should give you time to kill the other guard when he returns to investigate his buddy's death. You can now cross to the tower to find a Food Cache and the GPS Cache 2 around the corner before you climb to the top and zipline to a new area. [100 XP]

Find the Communication Console

Wade through the water and exit to find the Confessions of a Solarii: The Best Job document on the desk and then continue down the hall to the greenish gas. The gas is poisonous and will kill Lara is she breaths it in too long, so use the the Pry Axe to turn the valve and shut it off before you head through the area. Collect the Salvage in the next room and then carefully turn the corner to spot two men discussing fuel. If you wait until both men are next to the barrel you can shoot it with and arrow to make it explode, leaving only a third guard to deal with.

The room across from the one you exited has a Food Cache next to the burning barrel and in the adjacent room you can crack open a locker for Salvage. Light your torch at the barrel, then head to the room left of the stairs to Banner (1/5) that can be burned for the Challenge: Non-Believer. Draw your bow as you continue up the stairs to kill the Solarii that jumps down from the ceiling and then head through the small gap the man exited to reach a generator room.

Lara can pick up and throw the lanterns in the room and your first target should be the Banner (2/5) behind you. Climb the green machine and hop through the vent opening to reach a control room and then turn the valve. You'll need to quickly return through the vent, pick up a lantern, and arc it through the vent to explode the leaking gas. To the left of the destroyed control room is a door that has been blown open that leads back to the beginning area. Backtrack to the fire barrel to light your torch and return to the generator room. Check the back wall for another Banner (3/5) and then approach the hurt Solarii to gain the WWII Submachine Gun. [250 XP]

You can choose to kill the Solarii, then enter the next room to find the Wartime Intelligence - Scientist: Secret Project on the desk and GPS Cache 1 in the corner. Equip your assault rifle and prepare for an onslaught as Lara enters the next room into an ambush. Quickly dispatch one or two enemies rushing you and then focus on the Solarii on the upper level. After killing the remaining enemies more will enter from the left, including some with molotov cocktails.

When you've dispatched all enemies, search behind some pipes on the right side of the area for the GPS Cache 2. The back room contains some Salvage and a banner, which you'll have to come back for, and then return to the entrance where you were ambushed. Use the ramp nearby to reach the upper walkway and follow it to the Map Room Base Camp.

Back downstairs, take the hallway with the light above the door and kill the Solarii that drops down. Here you can light your torch to burn the Banner (4/5) in the previous area before entering the control center. The final Banner (5/5) is located on your right, so burn it and then move forward to trigger a scene. [250 XP]

Climb the Radio Tower to Send an SOS

Make sure to check the control center for the Diaries of a Madman: Alone document and some more Salvage before entering the nearby crack. You can't actually get hurt during the part, so crawl through the vent and make your way outside.

Activate the Bridge Overlook Base Camp as you enter this snowy region and then cross the bridge. As soon as you move over the bridge you'll be grabbed by a Solarii, so quickly wiggle the  to the right and left and press / to kick him off the bridge. There are more aggressive enemies further up the road, but first grab the area's only GPS Cache before shooting the Solarii further up the road.

Slowly make your way forward, getting the Plant on the right side of the road, and take out the archer on the building roof. More enemies will spawn in the building to the right and there are two more enemies in the multi-story building with the arches on the northern side of the area. Head for the building straight ahead and walk around the walkway to get your sights on the Solarii in the multi-story building and aim at the red explosive barrels on the first floor to deal with them all quickly. You can then grab the Japanese Dogtags on the ground nearby before approaching the multi-story building to trigger some more Solarii who enter from the left. The area now clear, scramble up the multi-story building to find a Food Cache and the Diaries of a Madman: The Solarii document.

Scramble up the wall to the west of the multi-story building to encounter the next wave of enemies. Don't bother dropping, since this will make the fight much harder, and focus on killing the two molotov cocktail Solarii on the top floor while shooting anyone who ziplines toward you for instant kills. After dispatching all Solarii, drop down for a scene to encounter a shielded Solarii. Dodge with / to avoid his attacks and shoot him when he exposes his body to take him down, along with the Solarii that exits the building after him.

Loot the Solarii to get the first of the gear parts, a Bow part, and clear out the Plant to the south before entering the building> head immediately right to find a locker with Salvage and then head upstairs to find more Salvage at the back of the room, as well as Salvage hanging above the stairs. You can now pry open the door to find a Marksmanship Badge and make your way to the top of the building to find the Radio Tower Base Camp.

Make sure to grab the Diaries of a Madman: Research document lying in the camp area and zipline down to a previous building with a Food Cache and the Mountain Base Treasure Map. You can now return to the camp and use the zipline to reach the tower and climb to the top. In order to broadcast your message you'll need to spin the  until you hear the Emergency Broadcast Channel and then switch to the tuner and spin the  once again until the signal is strong with no static to finally broadcast. [100 XP]

Start a Signal Fire

There's only one way down from the radio tower, so slide down the rope into an area with fuel tanks. Turn the valve to release the gas and then head into the nearby building to gain the Fire Striker. This will allow you to light Lara's torch at any time, so light up and ignite the fuel for a scene. [400 XP]

Lara will find herself falling down a steep cliff with the plane crashing behind her. Navigate around the debris and obstacles to avoid death and when you reach the bottom quickly press / to grip the ledge, pull up, and jump to the adjacent platform. [100 XP]

A Road Less Traveled

Find a Way Back to the Mountain Village

This is a pure platforming section that depends solely on your own reflexes. Simply keep moving forward and jump to banners and adjacent buildings until you finally reach the end. [100 XP] The poor pilot is killed by a shielded Solarii that you'll needs to finish off using the same tactics as you did in the last section. With the area clear, check the house for some Salvage in a net and jump to the upper floor for a metal box full of Salvage. You can now continue toward the camp, stopping to grab a Plant on the left side of the road, and then rest at the camp to hear Lara's Journals: Unnatural Storms. [100 XP]

Regroup with Roth

After the radio from Roth, head up the cliff while checking the left side of the road for Salvage until you are caught in a snare. Quickly fire upside down on the enemies to kill them and then free yourself by shooting the pulley. Lara will gain the ability to use Rope Arrows and you can then shoot the rope wrapped building support to pull the whole structure down, killing the enemies in the process.

If you pull five unaware enemies off ledges with a rope arrow you'll get the trophy/achievement Get Over Here!

Finish off the remaining enemies and look for a ledge with a Food Cache across the water at the back of the area. To continue you'll need to pull the crate with rope around it closer with a rope arrow and then jump to the crate and climb up to reach the building. Turn left as you exit the building and rope arrow the building support to drop a wall that you can scramble up to find some Salvage.

Follow the path northeast to a river and create a rope bridge by standing next to the post and shooting a rope arrow into the banister of the hut in the upper left to crawl across and open the Food Cache inside. Return to ground on the other side of the river and check the left side of the road for a Plant before you destroy the door with a rope arrow to regroup with Roth. [400 XP]

Guilty Conscience

Reach the Smoke Beacon

The first thing you should do is turn around to speak with Roth multiple times to work on the Chatterbox trophy/achievement and then use the Village Overlook Base Camp. Create a rope bridge to return to the Mountain Village and then hide behind the overturned cart while all three Solarii exit the building and take static positions. One of the guards will zipline into the distance, so take out the other two and grab the Salvage at the base of the stairs and some more Salvage inside the building. Make sure to grab the Medicinal Herb Vial from the building before you exit and then head up the staircase to find Statue (3/10) that you can light.

You should obtain the second Bow part and two Rifle parts from salvage crates in this area.

Slide down the rope and search underneath the hut for the GPS Cache 9 before you enter the building to jump across to another ledge with a Statue (4/10). If you turn around you should see a brazier with some salvage hanging in a net. In order to release the Salvage you'll need to jump over to the roof, light the torch and rope arrow the braizer to make the net catch fire.

You can now optionally backtrack to the village for some extra items and collectibles:

Zipline from the hut to the tail of the crashed plane, collecting Salvage from the house you land in, and then make your way toward the Base Camp where you originally left Roth. There is a Food Cache on the slope created by the crash and another Food Cache near the camp. At the camp, collect the Endurance Officers - Reyes: Dear Roth document and then cross the river to the right of the crashed plane. Light and pull another brazier to release some Salvage and then climb the nose of the plane to reach more Salvage and the GPS Cache 10 in the grass.

Scramble up the wall to find some Salvage in a net and even more Salvage at the top of the stairs and then head back down the stairs and jump into the body of the plane for a Food Cache. Exit the back of the plane to open the metal crate for Salvage and then head up the slope and open another crate on the left side with more Salvage.

Head to the cabin at the back of the area, since the closer one was raided when you arrived, to check the area for a Food Cache and Old Photograph inside the building and some Salvage on the patio. Between the two buildings is a wall you can scramble to find a Statue (5/10) and some Salvage, but the braziers behind you can be a bit tricky. Light the first brazier and then rope arrow the one behind it to light it as well. You can then jump to the roof of the building to get a better angle when shooting a rope arrow into the second brazier to get the Salvage x2. While on the roof you should poach the Eggs (3/5) and then return to the statue after collecting the dropped salvage. Head up the steps to find another Salvage x2 and then check then far corner for the GPS Cache 11 before you return to the plane crash.

Enter the lower part of the village, past the already lit statue, and rope arrow the door to find the Dried Gobo Root and some more Salvage. Now make your way up to the large building above to find another door that you can rope arrow to gain more Salvage. With the village cleared, head back to the zipline near the tail of the crash to return to the upper part of the village.

Follow the path to a post and create a rope bridge to the banister high above and climb up. Carefully climb the rock wall on the other side, since there are two guards at the top that you can melee stealth kill if done quickly. Check the tunnel to the left of the post to light another Statue (6/10) and then return to the post to create another rope bridge, which leads to an optional tomb.

Halls of Ascension

Move through the cave and look for some Salvage near the skeleton with red candles around it. As you enter the tomb you'll notice two valves: one that controls the shutters and another that controls the lift. In order to reach the treasure you'll need to shut the shutters and then raise the lift when the first shutter busts open. This will allow enough time to jump onto the platform before the remaining shutters open and push the lift against the wall. If you raise the lift too early it won't make it to the wall where you need to scramble to reach a ledge that leads to the treasure. [250 XP]

Inside the treasure chest you'll find 1250 XP, 250 Salvage, Mountain Village GPS Cache Map, and a Handgun part.

Shoot an arrow into the banister of the building to the left (east) to create a rope bridge and slide down to light a Statue (7/10). Create another bridge to the building to the east to find the Ancient Scrolls - Hoshi: Answering the Call document on the desk and then shoot another arrow into the rope-wrapped tree. There is a GPS Cache 12 on the ground and if you look north you'll spot a nest with more Eggs (4/5) that can be reached with a long jump. Cross the tree to collect the USMC Dogtags and then turn around and create a bridge to another rope-wrapped tree.

Pop open the Salvage nearby and follow the path to another Statue (8/10) and then create a bridge from the post near the statue to the tree across the way. Slide down the rope and scramble up the wall on the other side to find the Ancient Scrolls - Ambassador: Dark Tidings document on the ground and then drop off the ledge to the right for the final group of Eggs (5/5). You can now create a rope bridge to reach the pilot's blue smoke signal, catching the rock wall with / when you fall. [200 XP]

Locate the Second Pilot

Jessop is not at the smoke, so follow the mountain pass to some Salvage and then continue to start a conversation with Alex. Collect the Plant on the left side of the road and the Salvage straight ahead and move on to a day camp. You'll notice there are two paths, with a Salvage in the middle. Take the left path to find a Food Cache and Salvage around the corner and then move through the cave to collect some Salvage x2 in a well lit cavern. Continue until you trigger a scene and when wiggle the  right and left until Lara plants her feet on the beam and tap / to break free. You can now move towards the cave via the path not covered in corpse and proceed to the end of this tunnel. [100 XP]

Another Fine Mess

Find a Way Out

Follow the path to a corpse with the Trench Shotgun at the end of the walkway and blast through wooden barricades. [250 XP] Jump over the gap and scramble through the window at the end of the hall to reach a large circular tomb for a scene. You'll be ambushed by enemies, so pull out your shotgun and use the tomb as cover while killing the Solarii jumping in through the left. Loot the bodies and then rope arrow the large bell away from the gate to clear the path and follow it to a day camp.

Blast the barricade out of the way, then make your way over the walkway as it crumbles below and then shimmy across the edges. Jump to the remains of the walkway and climb up to find an entrance in the side of the building. Dispatch the enemies, including a shielded Solarii who can be taken out quickly if you have Dodge Counter, and make your way to the upper level.

Head upstairs for a surprise attack as you head up the ramp and then jump to the second floor. There are two sets of shutters on this floor and a rope covered weight at the center of the area. Open one set of shutters and pull the weight in the same direction as the wing to smash the pillars on one side and then close the shutters and repeat this on the other side. At this point some enemies will start ambushing Lara from the stairs, including a heavily armored Solarii that drops a Bow part. Once the enemies are dispatched, open both shutters and pull the weight one last time to bring the bell down. [250 XP]

Run straight ahead as the building crumbles around Lara and jump the first gap in slow-mo. The second gap is too large and you'll need to use the pole on the left to swing across, but the third can be jumped across normally. You'll then need to jump to the wooden bridge, which will break and result in Lara sliding down a slope. Shoot through the barricades while avoiding obstacles to reach the bottom for a scene. [500 XP]

A Friend in Need

Find the Way to the Solarii Base

After speaking to Roth, head to the nearby day camp to hear Lara's Journals: Ancient Guardians and then jump into the water to the left of the bridge to find a Statue (9/10). Wade up the river to find some Salvage in a net and a Salvage crate near more Salvage in a metal crate. Light the brazier next to the wooden platform and then pull the second brazier over to light it. You'll then need to jump over the river and stand beneath the hanging Salvage to pull the second brazier over to light it. Stay on the this side of the river and follow the water to find the GPS Cache 13 and then return toward the camp.

Face the bridge and make a rope bride to the bound tree on the left and follow the path to the end to find the GPS Cache 14. Cross the arch for some Salvage and the final Statue (10/10) and then take out the three Solarii below. Create a rope bridge to the large building and and collect the GPS Cache 15 before blowing through the barricade for a scene. Climb to the upper floor by using the and grabbing the banister above to find a Food Cache and the Ancient Scrolls - Hoshi: At Her Side document. Destroy the other barricade in this building and collect the Plant and Salvage hanging on the porch and then jump the gap to return to the Mountain Village.

Since you previously cleared out this area after the plane crash, provided you've been following this whole guide, so the only things that need to be gained are those that need the shotgun.

Head to the nearby camp and fast travel to the Village Overlook Base Camp and take the zipline. Inside the first building you can shoot through a barricade to find the Ancient Scrolls - General: The Oath document and then return to the lower village. Enter the second floor of the large building near the older plane crash and blast through the barricade to light the brazier and then exit the other side of the building and rope arrow the brazier into the hanging Salvage. Return to the roof of the same building, where you grabbed some eggs, and cross to the ledge and break through another barricade for Salvage x2.

Since you're clearing previous areas, you may remember that at the Mountain Temple we could not get some salvage in a netting because of the waterfall. Fast travel back to the Base Camp and enter the lower waterfall to finally collect the Salvage.

After collecting all these items, return to the Village Plateau Base Camp and create a rope bridge to return to the building across the river.

Descend Down the Mountain to the Solarii Base

There is only one path that hasn't been explored, so leap over the gap and slide down the rope for a scene. You can either wait for the men to check the building and then walk away or take out all three Solarii with some quick headshots. Loot the bodies for a Shotgun part and take the right path to avoid walking into any of the Solarii as you descend. Kill two Solarii working their way up the hill and then cross the arch and jump into the wreck. If you look through the gaps you should be able to deal with the three remaining Solarii.

There's no where else to go now except to try and cross the river, which is too powerful and will take Lara for a ride. Use the controls to stay away from the sharp spikes on the sides of the river, as well as the plane propeller and prepare to fire the Shotgun when the game goes into slow-mo. After a short scene, press /to pull the main chute and then / for the backup. You'll then need to maneuver Lara through the trees until she finally lands. [100 XP]

Open Wounds

Look for First Aid

Lara is badly hurt, leaving her with limited mobility. Walk forward until she falls and slides into a shanty style town and spots a helicopter. [100 XP]

Search the Rescue Helicopter for Medical Supplies

Look to your left to find some Salvage and proceed straight through a sewage tunnel. When you exit, shoot the Solarii on the wall high above and then deal with the remaining Solarii. Approach the salvage to be caught in a snare, shooting the pulley to drop Lara and the Salvage itself. Head up the steps to some Salvage and then turn left and follow the walkway and hop across the gap. More Soalrii attack when you land and there is a sneaky man with an assault rifle around the corner. You can then enter the helicopter to find the Lighter and the ability to create Fire Arrows. [100 XP]

You should obtain the third Rifle part from salvage crates in this area.

Highway to Hell

Reach the Gate Under the Bridge

Lara finds herself ambushed, but her newly acquired fire arrows she can shoot the sewage below to deal with the three Solarii below. Focus your fire on the cloth covered barricades to prevent the enemies from taking cover and then kill the Solarii in the tower across the way. You'll want to move up the steps to the right after the initial wave and watch the stairs to the right, since many of the Solarii will start to approach from here. Use the explosive barrels to take out many of the Solarii and finish off the remainder to clear out the area.

The Shantytown is extremely expansive and complicated, with multiple levels and collectibles. Make sure to follow the instruction carefully, so you won't get lost.

You should obtain the the second Shotgun part and a Rifle part from salvage crates in this area.

Stop at the Helicopter Hill Base Camp to use any skill points or upgrade your weapons and then check the fencing behind the camp to spot a cloth covered statue. Aim a fire arrow on the upper portion of the cloth, since the arrow will travel through the cloth without burning it on the lower portion, and once the cloth is gone you can rope arrow the Effigy (1/5) to pull it down and begin the Challenge: Laid to Rest.

Head south, down the first set of stairs, and cross the walkway to the left and then turn around to spot another Effigy (2/5) beneath the helicopter area. Backtrack across the wooden platform and turn left to reach a tower with a net of Salvage and then circle around the tower to find the GPS Cache 1. Backtrack north to a ramp that can be used to reach the second floor of the tower and search the back side for some Salvage. Hop to the opposite building and climb up to the roof to reach the third floor and disable the Alarm (1/5) to start the Challenge: Silencer.

Make your way back to the camp and head down the first set of stairs to the south and cross the walkway again. Look toward the tower you just climbed to spot another Effigy (3/5) and then scramble up the wall to reach the top of the tower in the center of this area for a Food Cache. Return to the stairs and take them all the way down.

Check the building beneath the stairs to find a room with some Salvage and then head south to a barricade and blast it open to find a Decorative Inro. Shoot through the next barricade, followed by two more barricades to the south, and then check the table for the Endurance Crew - Grim: The Good Old Days document. Open the Salvage and use the blue cloth covered crate on the left to reach the upper floor and open the Food Cache straight ahead. Enter the second floor of the building to read the Confessions of a Solarii: Toil and Distraction document and then open the nearby Salvage.

Drop back down and head south to find another barricade, blocking the GPS Cache 2, and then blast through another barricade. Head toward the building with a painting of a white mountain to the right and blast through the barricade behind it for some Salvage. Follow the side of the building and turn the corner to find another barricade that you can blast through to find the Jade Horse and then scramble up the building across from the white mountain painting.

Turn around and scramble up the planks to find a Food Cache and exit the other side, turning right to spot a Plant near the pillar of the arch. Head down the first set of stairs and enter the first building on the right to find some Salvage and then head all the way down to the area with explosive barrels. There is a snare trap at the entrance to the chapel building that will trigger some enemies, so trigger it and shoot the barrels to defeat the enemies.

Once you've released yourself from the pulley you can loot the Solarii and collect the Salvage in the metal fence, which was dropped from a net when the barrels exploded, and then head inside the building again and collect the Salvage crate and large Salvage box. Use a rope arrow on the floor to find a hidden path and drop down to find the GPS Cache 3. You can then follow this cave to enter the hidden tomb.

Well of Tears

Follow the linear path down the well while collecting the Salvage x2 on the ground and then shoot the Salvage x2 in nets over the next two ledge with fire arrows.

When you enter the tomb you'll notice a cage above and some yellow cans. You'll need to toss three cans on the cage to lower it to the ground and then stand on the cage and toss one can off. Once you step off the cage it will begin to raise, so rush up to the camp and jump on the cage before quickly jumping off to the ledge on the left. Proceed to raid the tomb for 1250 XP, 250 Salvage, and the Shantytown Relic Map.

To explore the other side of the shantytown, return to the camp in the northwest for a fresh start. Move down the stairs again and head east to reach a barricade, but before you blast it look left to spot a Plant.

Blast through the barricade and take cover from the three Solarii, dispatching them easily, and then head up the stairs and take the left path to encounter three more Solarii. Use the explosive barrels to kill the Solarii quickly and then jump up to the second floor. Collect the Metal Inro inside the building before you scramble up to the third floor to find the Confessions of a Solarii: Survival of the Fittest.

Make your way down to the base floor and use the walkway on top of the wall to shoot the barricade on the south side of the building to find some Salvage. Drop down to the ground and shoot the barricade to the left to find the GPS Cache 4. Move west and jump onto the walkway to the south, turning right and turning the corner to find a barricade with the GPS Cache 5. Jump to the second floor of the building to find the Jade Water Buffalo behind a barricade and then scramble up to the top floor for a Food Cache. On the south side of the building, look east to spot an Effigy (4/5) and then look into the southwest to spot another Effigy (5/5) - you can actually reach the effigy from the roof if you stand as close to the edge as possible.

When you're ready to proceed, head south to the large gate for a scene. The first wave will mostly be by Solarii heading straight down the alley with explosive barrels. Shoot the barrels to take out the men as they approach while shooting the enemies on the rooftops. After the first wave and explosion will occur to the right, which allows more enemies to sneak in from the side. Focus your fire on the men as they flow through the new walkway and finish off any remaining enemies.

Find a Way through the Gate

With the area now clear, turn toward the gate and burn the cloth surrounded post and then turn the handle to open the gate. [100 XP]

Liberator

Infiltrate the Palace

Move down the stairs for a short scene and then cross over the water pipe, avoiding the watery slope. Drop to the right to find a walkway with a barricade and blast through to find the Diaries of a Madman: Belief. You can now drop to the ground for some Salvage in the east courtyard and look up to the south to spot a net with more Salvage. Cross the sludge and enter the building, but instead of crossing the bridge you can turn around to spot Salvage in the nose of the helicopter. On the other side of the bridge, drop off to the left to find a walkway that goes beneath the bridge to find the GPS Cache 6.

As soon as you climb the ladder a scene will occur and a shootout commences. At the top of the building is an alarm that the enemies will use to call reinforcements, meaning you'll want to kill anyone who tries to use it to limit the number of enemies you have to deal with. In the first phase the enemies will stay at a distance, throwing dynamite and shooting arrows. You'll need to keep moving to avoid the dynamite or try and get them to drop it by shooting them right before they toss it. At the start of the second wave an archer will create a zipline to the bridge, allowing enemies to come closer. Keep an eye on the rope while you finish of the remaining enemies.

This area is great for two specific trophies: Deadeye - shoot men off ziplines and Boom Goes the Dynamite - shoot dynamite out of the air with the Shotgun.

Find Your Way to Grim

Climb the rope created by the enemy to reach the upper floor of the building for some Salvage. Circle around the back to find a Food Cache and then scramble up to the top of the building for an Alarm (2/4). Blast through the barricade to the west and head straight into the building for the Commander's Inro and then drop from the middle of the bridge to the south to find the GPS Cache 7. Return to the building and scramble up the wall, or take the stairs, to reach the second floor.

Open the metal Salvage crate on the level above and then blast through the barricade to the north to find the GPS Cache 8. Scramble up to the next level to find a Food Cache and then scramble up another floor and turn around to spot a Salvage net (make sure to drop down to collect it). Some enemies to the northeast will fire at you from a distance, so finish them off and then circle to the west side of the building where you can climb up for another Alarm (3/4). Drop back down and head toward the windmill, looking for a gap in the fence on the right for a Food Cache. Continue toward the windmill, grabbing the GPS Cache 9 on the right and the Scribe's Inro behind a barricade to the left before your scramble the up the wall. Move enemies will attack from across the windmill blades, so take out the group and then jump across and finish them off.

Cross the cargo area and check behind the white planked wall for a Food Cache and then scramble up to spot an Alarm (4/4) to the left. This can be reach by dropping back to the cargo area and scrambling up the wall to complete the challenge. Climb up to the top of the windmill and turn left to spot a GPS Cache 10 sparking among some trash and then use the zipline on the other side.

Enter the mine and notice the salvage in some nets, surrounded by metal mesh. In order to drop these you'll need to shoot fire arrows through the provided holes to drop the salvage to the bottom floor. Start by heading left and using the holes to drop Salvage x3 and then circle counterclockwise around the area. Hop down to the next level and open the metal Salvage crate and then collect the Food Cache near another Salvage x2. Cross the beam for the GPS Cache 11 on the ground to the right and then shoot down another Salvage from the mesh in the middle. Continue down the steps to open all the salvage you've dropped and then aim up through the lowest hole to release the final Salvage net.

Move through the tunnel to the right of the stairs and head straight toward the fire barrels, checking under the walkway to find the Jade Drinking Vessel. Turn around and pass under the staircase and check behind the metal panels straight ahead to find the GPS Cache 12 and then turn around again to spot a barricade that you can blast through to find a Plant and the GPS Cache 13. Return through the barricade and enter an opening on the left where you can drop to find the GPS Cache 14 and another barricade, which creates a shortcut to the large gate and a Food Cache.

Backtrack and climb up the ledge and then head for the stairs, but don't head up the stairs and instead look to the left to find the Diary of a Madman: Obsession. You can now head up the stairs to burn down a Salvage net on the left before walking to the Windmill Base Camp. Check behind the tree to the south for a crate of Salvage and then enter the tomb.

Chamber of Judgement

As you make your way into the tomb, hug the left wall to find the GPS Cache 15 and then continue through the tomb until you slip down slope. Grab onto the ledge and shimmy right until you can climb up to find some Salvage and then continue right to enter the heart of the tomb.

Note the circular structure with a ramp on top of it that acts as a seesaw when you step on it and then grab the yellow can nearby and drop it on the side nearest to the camp. Use the ramp next to the seesaw to jump to platform in front of the statue, dropping another can, and then drop the yellow can on the seesaw. Use a rope arrow on the tire hanging from the ceiling to swing it into the platform high in the corner to drop a third can and then drop it on the seesaw as well.

With three of the four cans, use the seesaw as a ramp to reach the rocky wall and attach yourself to the wall to reach the treasure. Inside the treasure chest you'll find 1250 XP, 250 Salvage, the Shantytown GPS Cache Map, and a Handgun part.

Return to the cargo area to climb one of the boxes and use it to reach a tower for a quick scene. Use your assault rifle in this fight to allow you to quickly fire on the enemies that zipline across to you and only use your bow for precision shots. Keep moving from cover to cover, as there are enemies throwing molotov cocktails and dynamite, and shoot explosive barrels when enemies are near. This is a difficult fight, especially on higher difficulties, so back up and take cover if you need time to heal. Once all the enemies are defeated you'll trigger a scene to complete this section. [400 XP]

No One Left Behind

Find a Way into the Solarii Stronghold

Use the rope to reach the opposite tower and climb up to the next level. Use the rope at the back to continue to the south and after a scene make sure to grab the rocky wall, while Roth saves your ass. [100 XP]

Scramble up to reach a day camp and then continue across the first bridge to a tower. This will lead to the underbelly of the bridge, where you'll need to follow the linear path while you listen to Roth's instructions. After a scene in which Lara falls, climb up and jump across the platforms to escape enemy fire. [100 XP]

Speak with Roth as you enter the tunnel [100 XP] and then head through the water to reach the deeper part of the cave. [100 XP] Check the dead end to the left for a Plant and then continue for a scene.

Rescue the Captured Endurance Crew

Wade through the river of blood and head up the path until you find some arrows on a corpse. Use a burning arrow shoot the gas up ahead, clearing the debris, and then shoot it again to rid the tunnel of the deadly gas and allow Lara to crawl through. Stop at the camp to listen to Lara's Journals: No Escape and then collect the Salvage and Confessions of a Solarii: In Her Honor document from the room.

Move through the crack up ahead to trigger a scene, but don't waste your arrows trying to save the man. Instead, head to the right and check the second "window" to shoot a fire arrow into the gas behind the monsters to kill the majority of them. Continue down the tunnel until you reach a light and then use Survival Instincts to find a Sack (1/6) on the ceiling, which can be burned with a fire arrow to start the Challenge: Firestarter.

Enter the cavern and circle the outside of the area to the left to find some Salvage and then enter the tunnel further down to find more Salvage x2. As you exit, kill the enemy that drops down and then head toward the gas. Ignore the valve for now and head left towards the cages to find a Sack (2/6) on the ceiling near the first captive. Walk toward the next light bulb to find the GPS Cache 1 a few steps further and then look back toward the light bulb to spot a ledge to the left, which you can climb for a metal Salvage crate. Drop into the tunnel and continue to return to the main room and head into the tunnel on the right with some gas. Kill the enemy on the other side and then hop up on the ledge to collect some Salvage and the GPS Cache 2. As you make your way to the main room, look up at the ceiling to spot another Sack (3/6). Climb the ledges in the center of the room to find a Funeral Fan and then head toward the valve and spin it to break the pipe, allowing you to blow it up with a fire arrow to clear the gate.

As you head up the steps some Solarii will come down to check on the noise, so quickly run to the right and take cover behind then wooden wall. Wait for the two men to split up and then take out the one in the room with you before you go after the other. You can now check the back of the area for a Plant, Food Cache, and the GPS Cache 3.

Carefully move forward to a wooden fence and spy on the two men playing checkers until the light breaks and one goes to investigate. Headshot both men with an arrow and then check near the game table for the Endurance Officers - Reyes: Dear Alisha document. Grab the Food Cache on the other side of the room and start your way up the steps, jumping to the top of the wooden structure about halfway up the steps to find the Geothermal Caverns Treasure Map. You can now head up to the Catacombs Base Camp to find some Salvage and a Wedding Fan. Walk toward the valve and look left to spot a netted Salvage and then use the valve to release some gas.

Shoot the gas with a fire arrow to push the cage from its position and then head down the steps to climb up into a new area. Hide behind the cages while you wait for the three men below to finish walking all the way to the left and then move deeper into the room and turn around to shoot the gas and kill all three men. Collect the Food Cache near the cages and then look up at the ceiling to spot another Sack (4/6) before you drop down and shoot another Sack (5/6) near the dead men. Check the other side of the area for another Food Cache and the GPS Cache 4 and then return to the walkway above and collect the Plant near the rocky wall.

Climb the wall and continue down a tunnel to dispatch the unaware Solarii guard and then head right to get a look at the room below, shooting the gas to finish the remainder of the men. Shoot the final Sack (6/6) above your head and then head down to loot the bodies in the room below, as well as Plant x2. You can now collect the Diaries of a Madman: Lost document from the altar and then check behind it for some Salvage and the Inscribed Silk Fan.

Head up the steps to find a Food Cache and the GPS Cache 5 and then pop the valve open. In order to proceed you'll need to use the rope arrow to pull the cage closer to the gate and then shoot a fire arrow into the gas to force the cage into the gate, allowing you to pass. Run through the tunnel as the area collapses around you until Lara slides down a gap and then continue running forward to escape the deadly gas.

There are three guards around the Endurance teams cage that you should be able to easily kill and then pop the valve and fire an arrow to release some of the hanging debris. Climb up the steps and hop on the new platform to reach the Endurance team and then look for the cage near two natural gas pockets. To release the Endurance team you'll need to shoot the left gas pocket, followed quickly by the right one, to trigger a scene and then climb the outside of the cage to return to the top. Once there, hop to the ledge with two valves, release both valves, and then shoot one to move the cage across the room. [100 XP]

Escape the Cavern

With the crew safe you can now hop across the yellow cages to escape the cavern as it falls apart. [400 XP]

Find a Way into the Temple

Continue through the tunnel until you reach the underbelly of the temple and open the doors. [100 XP]

Into the Fire

Find Sam

Open the double doors with your Pry Axe and then continue down the halls and outside on the roofing to work your way around the outside of the building and up a rocky wall. Shimmy across the windows and up to a walkway and then follow the men across a bridge and into the next hall for a scene. Continue across the roof and take a zipline to an adjacent building and then kill the men on the opposite roof. You can now jump across and climb up the rocky wall and head into the next hall to meet an old friend. [100 XP]

Survive the Ambush

Fire will burn through this area as enemies attack from the back doors on the right and left. Most enemies can be dispatched with the assault rifle, but keep moving between the two sides of the area so you don't become flanked by enemies from one side. Keep to the back of the area to avoid the fire damaging floor and when the short scene shows two armored units, switch to your shotgun and finish them off. [100 XP]

Escape the Inferno

Once they are all dead, try and loot as many corpses as possible for a Shotgun part off one of the armored units and then exit via the back right room with a bright white light. [100 XP]

Fight Your Way Out of the Palace

Move around the corners carefully to avoid being caught off guard by the Solarii and then turn another corner to fight off more men, including one with a riot shield.

As you exit the building, Nikolai will take the turret and blast his way through the ancient walls and tear through Lara if you don't get a move on. Move from one wall to the next until you reach the rocky wall and then climb up to zipline into Nikolai. Lara will grab the Grenade Launcher after a short scene, so aim a bit above Nikolai to finish him off. [250 XP]

This alternative fire method for the assault rifle will allow you to blow through metal barricades that the Shotgun can't break through, so use it on the doorway straight ahead. There are more Solarii on the other side of the door, but you have a grenades now and they won't stand a chance. Don't be shy with using your new weapon, as there are plenty of ammo crates in this area, and move forward until the area is clear.

Drop by the camp in this area to use any new points or salvage and then climb the rocky wall and follow the hall to another barricade. Blast through for a short scene and then use the zipline to reach the ground. [100 XP]

Regroup with Sam

Blast through another barricade and turn the corner to encounter more Solarii in the alley. Enemies will swarm you from the lower level, while enemies on the upper balconies will fire upon you. Use Survival Instincts to help you spot enemies in the harsh weather and don't be afraid to go out of the street or into a buildings to take a second to heal.

As Lara passes the temple-like structure at the end of the street, another spotlight will light her up and a Solarii will man another turret. Bob and weave from cover to cover and climb the building on the left to reach higher ground and quickly cross the zipline to take out the two enemies. Head into the room and take cover behind the boarded up window and wait for the turret to destroy the boards before you lop a grenade across the way to destroy the turret. [100 XP]

Escape the Solarii Compound

Crossing the river will only take you back to where you came from, so scramble up the wall to the right of the gate and cross the zipline. Climb the rocky wall and when a Solarii tosses a molotov cocktail inside at Lara you'll need to quickly exit by climbing the surrounding platforms. [400 XP]

Get to the Chopper

Cross the Bridges

Take the zipline and Mathias will make it clear that he's not happy with your attempt to escape. After running from the Solarii and making a desperate jump across the bridge, wiggle the  and press / to kick off last man. You now need to run across the bridge will hoping over the gaps create by the cannonballs to reach the tower. [100 XP]

Climb the Tower

As the tower crumbles, make your way through the linear platforming section while preparing to hit / a lot to grab ledges and climb rocky walls. When you reach the top and think you're finished the floor will crumble, but after a slow-mo run and jump to the helicopter you'll complete the chapter. [100 XP]

Some Time Alone

Find a Way Out of the Forest

After a scene in which you gain the Tactical Pistol, check the rock near the pyre for the Endurance Officers - Roth: An Apology document and then rest at the camp for Lara's Journals: Don't Think, Don't Feel.

Enter the forest to the east and take the right path, instead of walking through the arch, and pick up the Mushroom (1/10) near the wall to begin the Challenge: Red Cap Roundup. Use Survival Instinct to spot the Chou Dynasty Dagger by some trees and then circle the back of the helicopter crash for Salvage and another Mushroom (2/10) near the wall. Cross the clearing to the north to find some Salvage in the water and a GPS Cache 1 against the north wall and then follow the path east. When Lara pulls out her bow, look along the north wall to find a Mushroom (3/10) and then wait for the three Solarii to separate.

Headshot the man who stays at the entrance with an arrow and then make your way to the right side to kill one of the other men. You can now backtrack to the entrance and head left to find the final man near a bridge, killing him with a headshot. From the bridge, head west to find a Mushroom (4/10) and some Salvage along the north wall and then head southeast toward the river to find another Mushroom (5/10) across the water from the lodge.

Head directly west and use Survival Instincts to spot a rocky wall and then use the broken tree to reach the wall and climb up. Hop to an adjacent platform and look east to spot some salvage hanging from another platform and then climb the rope to reach the Jade Ceremonial Dagger. From this platform you can face the lodge and use Survival Instinct to spot multiple Solarii that can be killed (up to four). You can now drop to the ground to collect the Salvage you shot down earlier and then head southwest to find a high ledge that crosses the center of the area.

Follow the high ledge to the right (west) and shoot the man to the south and then head up the ledge and jump up the west wall to find a Mushroom (6/10). Drop to the ground and follow the wall south to rope dart a building support and then continue along the wall to the south to find another Mushroom (7/10). Backtrack and scramble up the wall that was dropped when you pulled the building's support and turn around to spot the GPS Cache 2 on a ledge that can be jumped to before returning to the building. Head out the other side of the building to swing to a platform with and then create a rope bridge to the tree across the way. Climb the rope, dropping onto the other rope, and climb up to collect some Salvage and then shoot the Solarii roaming the forest nearby. Look south to spot a shiny spot on a ledge, so make the long leap to the ledge to collect the GPS Cache 3 and then check the waterfall for a GPS Cache 4.

Exit the water and check the nearby crash from some Salvage and then look up to find more Salvage in a net that can be shot down. Follow the east wall to a dead end with a Mushroom (8/10) and then backtrack and head north to shoot another Solarii. Circle around the ledge and use the rope to the south to reach a tree platform and then jump to a nearby ledge with the Japanese Ceremonial Dagger. You can now head to the Hunting Lodge Base Camp and check the lodge itself for some Salvage and the Ancient Scrolls - General: The Conquerors document.

Head north toward the bridge and check around the right side for a Mushroom (9/10) and then pass the tomb entrance for some Salvage before you enter.

Stormguard Sanctum

Head inside until you reach the camp and then look up to spot two unlit brazier that can be lit with a fire arrow to help light the room. In order to clear a path above you'll need to shoot the natural gas to clear the debris and then light another brazier above the gas. You can now shoot the gas again and quickly scramble up the wall, turn left, and climb up another ledge. Light another brazier near the platform and use Survival Instinct to spot another brazier and some crates across the way. Shoot the clothed crates with a fire arrow to clear the debris and then jump across and grab the rocky wall to reach the treasure for 1250 XP, 250 Salvage, and the Summit Forest Relic Map.

Exit the tomb and follow the wall east to a hut and rope arrow the door to find a metal crate of Salvage before you deal with the three men and two wolves. You can now head up the steps to find the final Mushroom (10/10) and enter the cave. [50 XP]

Exit the Forest Through the Wolf Cave

Rope arrow the door and follow the path to some caged wolves, which you can kill for XP despite being able to loot them, and then climb up the ladder. You'll need to rope arrow the deer corpse to push the bar into place, allowing you to swing across to the rocky wall. Collect the Salvage x4 in the next room and check the ground near the table for the GPS Cache 5 before you follow the path, grabbing the ledge when Lara slips. You can now climb back up and follow the path outdoors, sliding down the rope to speak with Alex. [900 XP]

The Fast Way Down

Find a Way Down to the Beach

Hop onto the zipline to reach the tower in Shantytown, where Grim was lost, and then cross another zipline to the gondolas. Wait for one of the gondola to pass by and hop on for a scene. [100 XP]

Travel to the Survivors' Camp

When the gondola stops, shoot a rope arrow into the nearby tower and circle it to find a ladder. Climb up and then zipline to the suspended shipwreck. A major fight commences, with Solarii ziplining in from the right and left, so if you haven't gained the trophy/achievement for shooting men off zipline then this is a great place for it. As the fight goes on you'll likely want to loot the bodies, since you won't have a chance to at the end of the fight, and blow through the remaining enemies with the Grenade Launcher. After a short scene, climb the yellow rungs to the other side of the ship and leap across the gap for another scene.

Lara finds herself sliding down rope into a dead end, but luckily there is another rope beneath her. Drop from one zipline to another with / twice and then shoot through the barricade. Drop from a zipline onto another again and then drop into the water, blasting through the barricade to reach the beach.

You should obtain two Rifle parts, a Shotgun part and a Bow part from salvage crates in this area.

Squeeze through the crack and follow the path to a broken section of the bridge and then hop across and check the rocks to the left for a GPS Cache 1. Cross to the other side of the walkway to crack open some Salvage and then follow the sandy path down. When the path branches off downhill or back uphill, take the right path to some Salvage and then hop into the water. On the north side of the column is a rocky wall, but in order to reach it you'll need to move the buoy next to the column and then jump on top to climb up. Dismantle the Cairn (1/5) to begin the Challenge: Cairn Raider and then return to where the road branches.

Take the left (east) rock path that circles a rock formation to collect a Food Cache and another Cairn (2/5) and then drop to the ground for some Salvage. Shoot the Mine (1/10) to the east to start the Challenge: Mine Sweeper and then walk over and collect the GPS Cache 2 where it was.

Head northwest toward the main path, passing a hidden tomb that you can't access at the moment, and then head back up the path a few feet to an overturned truck. Check the front of the truck for some Salvage and then dismantle the Cairn (3/5) on the rocks. Head toward the water to the northwest for some Salvage and then pass the rusted tank, heading toward the objective, to find a net of Salvage hanging from a cement arch near the water. You can now climb up to the building to the south for some Salvage before stopping at the Survivors' Base Camp.

Enter the nearby building for the Endurance Officers - Reyes: About Lara and then scramble to the top of the building for the GPS Cache 3 near the crumbled wall. Drop down between the two buildings and pry open the door to the other building to find the Endurance Crew - Jonah: Recognizing the Truth document inside.

Drop onto the beach to the south and check near the anchor for the GPS Cache 4 and then turn around to spot a Mine (2/10) in the water. Note the boat tied to the pier to the west and the blue cargo container to the east. Move the boat with the rope arrow so that it sits between the rocks and the blue container, allowing you to jump on top to collect a Food Cache. Continue down the coast to shoot another Mine (3/10) and then enter the crumbled building to the north for some Salvage. You can now check under the pier behind you for the GPS Cache 5 before returning to the camp, where you can approach the boat for a scene. [400 XP]

A Pirate's Life

Reach the Galleon

There are now crabs on the beach, which can be killed for the Crab Cakes trophy/achievement.

Speak with the Endurance crew to progress the Chatterbox trophy/achievement and then head south across the broken pier. Before climbing up the ladder, head south and check the ocean for a Mine (4/10) and then climb up to collect some Salvage. Slide down the rope and check the ocean to the left for another Mine (5/10) and then swing to across the the rocky wall to reach the Galleon. [100 XP]

Collect the Block and Tackle

Wait for the two Solarii to finish their conversation and then rope arrow the first man off the ledge before finishing off his companion. Make sure to loot the Salvage in a net and then cross the gap and head upstairs, scrambling the wall to shimmy up to the deck. You can now shoot the pulley to drop the Block and Tackle and drop the mast. [100 XP]

Return to Jonah with the Block and Tackle

Cross the mast and kill the two Solarii on the other side and then turn the corner to enter the cabin for the Brown Jade Ink Box. You can now use the ziplines to reach the beach and return to the camp for a scene, gaining the Compound Bow from Jonah. [400 XP]

Gone Missing

Reach the Endurance Wreck

Speak with four Endurance crew members to progress the Chatterbox trophy/achievement, again, and then head to the eastern end of the breach. On the destroyed pier, shoot a rope arrow into the rocky wall to the left and then cross to the metal beam. Follow the path to the right and scramble up a wall and then hop to the nearby ledge to find a GPS Cache 6. You can now backtrack to the platform and continue toward the hanging crate, scrambling up the wall to reach the deck of an old shipwreck.

Pry open the metal Salvage crate and then check the water below for a Mine (6/10), which may be hiding behind the crate depending on where you're standing. Turn around and shoot down the salvage from the netting behind you and then drop down to the lowest level to collect the Salvage and a Stained Jade Head Rest. Climb the metal beam to reach the next level and check the room on the right for a Stuffed Bunny and then scramble back up to the deck. You can now climb the mast to find the GPS Cache 7 before heading down the zipline.

Continue down the beach until two Solarii exit the building tower, dispatching them, and then open the Salvage on the beach before shooting down some additional Salvage from a net to the right. Circle the back of the tower to dismantle a Cairn (4/5) and then use Survival Instinct to spot another Mine (7/10) near the wreckage in the ocean. Continue around the tower into the water and head toward the waterfall, looking right to spot another Mine (8/10), and then enter the cave to the right of the waterfall for some ammo and the GPS Cache 8.

As you exit the cave you'll spot the end of a pier peaking out from behind some rocks. Make your way to the top of the pier by jumping onto the rocks and then use the supports to collect the Food Cache and GPS Cache 9. You can now head east to the water's edge to find another Mine (9/10) floating above the waves before following the beach east for some Salvage on the ground, Salvage in a net, a Mine (10/10), and the GPS Cache 10.

Return the area where you dropped from the zipline and use the ramp to reach a broken pillar and then scramble up the white boards to reach a bridge. There are two paths you can jump to: the one straight ahead via a beam or the doorway to the right. Cross the beam and jump straight ahead to climb the white boards and then turn around to spot some Salvage. Return to the bridge and head through the other path and then climb the ladder. Before scrambling up the wall you'll need to shoot the barricade high above and then climb up to collect the Toy Train and a Food Cache. Climb to the top of the tower and slide down the rope and immediately take cover from the two Solarii nearby before you dispatch them.

Instead of climbing up to their location, drop off to the ledge on the left to collect the GPS Cache 11 near the edge before circling around the other side for some Salvage. Turn around and pass through the water to encounter two more Solarii and then check above the barrel for the GPS Cache 12 before collecting the Salvage outside. You can now backtrack up the rocky wall to reach the ledge where you defeated the men and pry open the door to a bunker.

Enter the bunker to collect the Shaped Jade Head Rest on a desk and then climb up the ladder and enter the room on the left to find a Salvage locker. Turn around and cross the gap and then follow the path through a tunnel to the heart of the bunker. You can now collect the Salvage in a net, Salvage in a locker, a Food Cache, and the Worn Wallet before you enter the tomb.

The Flooded Vault

Head up the steps and use the panel to drop a light into the water below, electrify the water and powering the room. Return downstairs and open the double doors via the panel and then enter the room on the right to blast through the barricade. Shoot a fire arrow across the water to burn the clothed pole, releasing the raft, and then pull it multiple times until it is close enough to jump on and use to reach the other side of the wall.

Face the other stairs and look up to spot a roped metal beam, which raises the light and de-electifies the water, and cross the water when you get a chance. Turn around and pull the raft close to the light and then raise it and pull the raft underneath, preventing the light from entering the water again. You can now wade through the water to the staircase in the back corner to collect the 1250 XP, 250 Salvage, and the Shipwreck Beach Relic Map.

Make your way out of the bunker and turn left to cross the bridge, killing the single Solarii, and then drop off to the right at the end. Swing across the pole and dismantle the final Cairn (5/5) and then backtrack and jump to the beam. You can now create a rope bridge to the rocky wall and climb up, checking the crumbling building for the Ancient Scrolls - Hoshi: In Her Image document inside and some Salvage on top.

Make your way through the tunnel to a camp and then collect the Plant, GPS Cache 1, and Salvage. Create a rope bridge to the rocky wall across the way and shimmy along the outside of the area to enter the bunker. Collect the Salvage at the back of the room and then check the wall near the roped doorway for a Flag (1/4) with an octagram (eight-pointed star) and burn it to begin the Challenge: Previous Inhabitants.

Crawl through the tunnel and carefully exit the other side to stealth kill a Solarii and then take cover behind the bundled pipes. Take care of the two welders to the right and left with an arrow to the head and then move forward and wait for a Solarii to roll an explosive barrel toward the group of men. Shoot the barrel to take care of the four men and then back up and prepare for reinforcements. The majority of the new enemies will have armor protecting their head, so pull out your assault rifle and/or shotgun to take care of the remaining enemies.

Once the area is clear, check the corner near the entrance for a GPS Cache 2 and the northeast corner of the courtyard for a Plant and then head to the back of the area to find the Wartime Intelligence - Scientist: In Search of the Star document.

Enter the hall in the northwest corner and rush around the corner with a weapon drawn to shoot the explosive barrel, hopefully killing the man that pushes it, and then finish off the rest of the Solarii while watching out behind you for a sneak attack. Head upstairs and check the room on the right for Salvage x2 and then carefully head back into the main area, peeking around the corner to encounter more Solarii. Focus on the men throwing dynamite from across the courtyard and then focus on the men on the level above.

Cross the gap and check the room for some Salvage and then swing across the pole and climb up to the next level, immediately turning right to shoot an explosive barrel on the top floor to dispatch the Solarii. Jump across the gap behind you to collect some Salvage and a Food Cache and then cross the pipe for another Food Cache and a metal Salvage crate.

Backtrack across the gap and check the other side of the building to spot another Flag (2/4), which you can burn with a fire arrow, and then use the ramp to reach the top level. Circle the outside of the area to burn another Flag (3/4), collect a Food Cache, and then check the northeast corner of the roof for the GPS Cache 3. You can now head toward the object surrounded in rope, but don't drop just yet and instead look up to spot a Flag (4/4) on the power cable tower.

Drop down to the camp and head toward the truck to collect a Plant and then check behind it for a Japanese 2 Sen Coin. Head back toward the camp and collect the Plant near the stacked boxes in front of the truck and then circle it to find the GPS Cache 4. Grab the Endurance Crew - Alex: Over His Head document near the camp and then create a zipline to the nearby island and slide down, collecting the GPS Cache 5 behind some rocks. You can now take the zipline to reach the Endurance. [100 XP]

Find Alex

There are two normal Solarii and a giant one in the next area, but wait for the giant to help pull over a section of the Endurance and return to the left before quickly taking out the two normal sized men. The easiest way to defeat this mini-boss is to use Dodge Counter to stab him with an arrow and then shoot him in the head with the shotgun. Do this a few times to cause enough damage to stun him, indicated with a prompt, and then approach him and attack with /multiple times.

Using the Rope Ascender, pull the Endurance part by shooting a rope arrow and holding / to drop it through the floor. Drop to the floor below and follow the hall for a scene and then check the floor of Sam's cabin for the Endurance Crew - Sam: Adventures with Lara. [150 XP] Continue down the hall to encounter two Solarii men conversing across the wreck about Alex and then take them both out. You can now slide down the rope and follow the path to the flooded part of the ship. [250 XP]

Recover Reyes' Tools

Alex is trapped behind a blocked doorway, so turn around and rope arrow the hooked pulley toward the door. The path is blocked with a pipe the needs to be cleared, so check both sides of the pulley to notice a short ladder on one side and a broken ladder on the other. Jump on the side with the broken ladder, causing the pulley to move, and then rope arrow it away from Alex's position. You can now jump on the short ladder twice to move it all the way to the other side of the room, connecting it to the rest of the ladder that leads to the pipe.

Kick the pipe out of the way and then jump on the broken ladder to move it in front of Alex's position. You can now rope arrow the pulley toward Alex to hook the wires and then pull it away to reach Alex. [100 XP]

Return to the Military Bunker

As you might have guessed, you'll need to run for your life as the Endurance sinks into the ocean. Keep running and jump when the game slow-mo's to grab the rope and hold / to ascend quickly. You can now climb the crates on the ships' deck to return to the bunker. [100 XP]

Return to the Survivor Camp on the Beach

Back at the camp, use the rope ascender to pull down the block from the top of the bunker and break through the cracked ground. Drop down to collect the Wartime Intelligence - Scientist: Secret of the Island document and then Pry Axe through the door. Turn right to spot a roped doorway and then use the rope ascender to break through the doors. Collect the 100 Mon Coin and Salvage and then backtrack through the tunnel at the other end of the courtyard to return to the large gun room via the tunnel.

Rope arrow the door to the right to exit the bunker to find the Portuguese Tin Coin, a Plant, and the Cliffside Bunker Treasure Map and then jump to the zipline to return to the other camp. You can now pass back through the tunnel and rope arrow another door for a Food Cache. Ascend the rope and immediately take cover from the three Solarii and then wait for the conversation to end before dispatching the three men. You can now drop to the ledge next to the waterfall for some Salvage, also gaining a Bow part, and then follow the ledge around to the GPS Cache 13 on the other side. You can now climb back up and slide down the ropes to return to camp. [400 XP]

Storm Chaser

Start the Climb Up to the Research Base

We are off to save the day, but first let's finish some stuff. Firstly, talk to everyone at camp again until you can't anymore, making sure you talk to Jonah who is north of the camp, to complete the Chatterbox trophy/achievement. Rest at the camp to hear Lara's Journals: The Promise document and then enter the hidden tomb to the east.

Temple of the Handmaidens

Follow the long path to the heart of the tomb, where you'll find a buoy and a wheel that can be turned with your Pry Axe. This tomb is very easy and fast, but the timing requirement and lack of knowledge can make it seem more difficult than it actually is. The basics of the puzzle is that once the wheel is turned and the buoy is released, it will follow the river and push two bars that create paths for Lara.

Start by raising the platform with the wheel and then follow the path left, waiting for the buoy to create a path. On the next platform, quickly rope arrow the structure in the water before the buoy reaches it. This will move the post halfway toward Lara, allowing the buoy to push it the rest of the way to reach the treasure room. This will unlock 1250 XP, 250 Salvage, the Shipwreck Beach GPS Cache Map, a Handgun part, and the Intellectually Superior trophy/achievement.

Make your way to the northwest edge of the beach to find a roped door that can finally be removed with the rope ascender and then pull the lever to drop the elevator. Climb the back of the elevator shaft and then scramble up the wall to grab the rocky wall. You can now hop over the wires, climb up to the left and drop on the other side of the shaft to find some Salvage before reaching the top. [100 XP]

Enter the Research Base

Open the metal Salvage crate to the left and then face the elevator shaft. The pillar to the left of the shaft can be scrambled up to reach the top of the elevator shaft to find a GPS Cache 14 and then create a rope arrow to the rocky wall below the water tower across the way.

Check behind the wall for the Endurance Officers - Whitman: My Great Discovery document and then head between the water tower and the other tower for the GPS Cache 15. You can now scramble up the wall to jump to the water tower circling around it to climb up. Jump to the ladder and climb up to reach a platform where you can rope arrow the gondola closer and then jump across and pull the second gondola closer to continue. You can now slide down the rope to reach the research base.

Scramble up the wall and shimmy around the outside of the base and then climb up the ladder and rocky wall to find some Salvage. Jump the gap and scramble the wall to the right to hide behind a crate while you wait for the two Solarii guards to finish their conversation and then dispatch them. Spot the rocky wall on the side of the base and use the pipe to reach it and then follow the linear path, creating a rope bridge to another rocky wall. Collect the Salvage and pull open the heavy barricade with the rope ascender and follow the path to enter the base. [100 XP]

Discover the Ancient Tomb

Carefully climb down the rocky wall to reach the water below and collect the GPS Cache 1 on the rocky nearby. Turn around and shoot a grenade into the metal wall to find some Salvage and then shoot another grenade into another metal wall within this room to find the Chou Dynasty Helmet. Follow the water to a rocky wall to find a Plant and then shoot a fire arrow into the Salvage hanging from the ceiling. You can now climb the wall and squeeze through the gap, using Survival Instincts to spot the Sun Totem (1/5) on the other side of the room to begin the Challenge: Sun Killer.

Drop down and shoot an arrow into the pipes on the far wall, luring over a Solarii guard that you can headshot, and then move forward and sneak around the corner to kill his buddy. You can now grab the Wartime Intelligence - Soldier: Awakening document on the desk near the Research Lab Base Camp. Instead of heading around the corner, pry open the door near the camp and then shoot a Sun Totem (2/5) to the left and another Sun Totem (3/5) in the window across the way. You can now jump to the window and climb inside to find a Food Cache and GPS Cache 2.

Hop back into the water and continue along the path to an elevator shaft and call the elevator. When the elevator gets stuck, climb the nearby boxes to pry off one of the wheels and then enter the elevator and hop through the hole on the other side of the shaft. Take the stairs up to the third floor to find the GPS Secrets - Unknown: Mysterious Orders and then call the elevator. You can now take the stairs back down, stopping about half way to jump to a platform with some Salvage (likely getting a Shotgun part) and another wheel that can be removed.

Head up toward the fourth floor, shooting down some Salvage hanging from the underside of the stairs, and then look high up the shaft near the call button to spot some more Salvage. Look down into the shaft to spot a barricade that can be removed with the Shotgun and then call the elevator, quickly dropping into the shaft and jumping to the rocky wall. Climb around the outside of the shaft to a platform with some Salvage and another wheel and then drop back onto the stairs and head to the third floor, jumping up to the ladder to reach the final wheel. This will drop the elevator through the floor, allowing you to reach the first floor. [100 XP]

Drop to the first floor and stop at the "1" on the floor to spot another Sun Totem (4/5) to the right and then collect the Food Cache. You can now enter the next room, shooting some salvage through the rubble straight ahead, and then open the Salvage locker to the left.

Sneak into the hall and kill the two Solarii and then look through the mesh on the right to find the final Sun Totem (5/5). This should trigger the Inconceivable! trophy/achievement and you can now grab the Salvage crate on the floor before grabbing the Ceremonial Helmet on this end of the hall. Head down the hall to collect a Salvage crate and then enter the hall on the right for a Food Cache and another Salvage locker. Across from the locker is a pile of crates, which you can climb to reach the GPS Cache 3 and gain the GPS Secrets - Unknown: Failed Mission.

Return to the hall and cross to the other side of the main hall to climb more crates for the Research Base Treasure Map. You can now continue down the path for a scene, gaining the Ancient Scrolls - General: Failure of Duty document, and then try to leave. [100 XP]

Exit the Research Base

The Solarii will attack from the scaffolding to the south, mostly staying on the upper level. Use the explosive barrels to take out some of the enemies and then finish off any of the men that rope in from the ceiling until you get a small scene. The enemies will now drop down from the scaffolding, where the rocks created a path, and swarm the area. The area beneath the stairs offers great cover and allows you to move back, out of fire, when you need to recover. Watch your back in case any of the men circle around the stairs to attack you, but for the most part they should come straight for you.

Climb the scaffolding and follow the path until Lara slips and then jump and grab the rocky wall on the other side. Continue along the path to some Salvage and and a call from the Endurance crew. [100 XP]

Return to the Survivor Camp on the Beach

Create a rope to the nearby building and slide over and then kill the two men to the right. You can now follow the path and ascend one rope before sliding down another to reach the beach. [100 XP]

Going Back In

Take the PT Boat up the River to the Monastery

When you're ready to continue, head to the boat on the beach. [100 XP]

Enter the Monastery

Turn around and create a rope bridge to the rocky wall and then follow the linear path to find Mathius, Sam, and Whitman. After the scene, which is rather satisfying if you dislike Whitman, head to the post to the right of the bridge and shoot an arrow into the rocky wall. From here you can climb up to enter the monastery. [100 XP]

Search the Monastery for Sam

Follow the hall and wait for the Stormguard to leave before you shoot a fire arrow into the debris across the way and then follow the tunnel. On the other side, stay low and close to the wall to avoid being spotted by the marching guard and make your way up the stairs. Collect the Food Cache before you cross the beam to the other side of the stairs and jump up to the ledge on the right. Shimmy along the ledge, watching the scene above and below, and then jump to the gap for a scene. Hold the  toward the camera to run as the Stormguard fires on Lara until she falls down a shaft and escapes. [100 XP]

The crate of ammo is a good indication that you should equip a weapon, so move forward to trigger the appearance of three Stormguard members. Dispatch them quickly and continue forward to a camp with a Food Cache nearby and then make sure to sit down to hear Lara's Journals: The Monastery. You can now continue down the tunnel for another Food Cache before prying open the doors to spot Sam. [100 XP]

Rescue Sam From Mathias

Follow the path until your get a small scene in which the whole Stormguard seems to converge on Lara. Luckily, the whole area is full of explosive barrels that can be used to kill any Stormguard that is silly enough to stand next to one and the environment offers plenty of cover. Focus on standing next to the corners of building, allowing you to take out the aggressive ground units while avoiding fire from the archers. Keep moving toward the monastery, using the Dodge Counter to easily take out the heavily armored units, until the wind reveals a roped barricade. Pull the barricade down and continue for a scene and then enter the shrine.

At the Sacred Hall Base Camp you can finish off any weapon or skill upgrades needed to complete them and earn the attached trophy/achievements. Collect the Kansu Burial Urn relic from the nearby table and the Wartime Intelligence - Soldier: Last Stand document near the large doors. You can now shoot the Salvage hanging from the ceiling before prying open the doors to a large puzzle room.

Drop to the floor and check beneath the walkway to find a Ban Chiang Vase and then face the center of the room. There is a lever on each side of the room, one of which opens a grate in the floor while the other raises a cage. Use the lever on the right side of the room to open the grate and then cross the room and raise the cage. Grab the Endurance Officers - Whitman: Crossing the Line document near the second lever and then turn around and use the ramp to reach the upper level.

Follow the walkway to the end to collect the Chasm Shrine Treasure Map and a metal crate of Salvage and then return to the center of the platform and face the cage. Rope arrow the cage to break through the opposite wall and then drop down to the main level again. You'll need to close the grate and then drop the cage, which will land on the grate instead of disappearing down the hole, before returning to the upper level. You can now pull the cage once more and use it to reach the cracked wall to continue.

After the scene in the room of the Sun Queens, head to the room on the right for the Ancient Scrolls - Hoshi: An End document and then follow the path to find Salvage x2. At the end, collect the Satsuma Vase near the Sacred Passage Base Camp and then finish up any areas.

WARNING: This is the point of no return, meaning you'll be unable to Fast Travel to previous areas until you complete the game. Once completed, load up the file to backtrack to any previous areas you have not completed.

End the Storms by Stopping the Ascension Ritual

& Pry open the doors to enter the Chasm Ziggurat and then cross the bridge for a scene. You won't be able to follow Mathius and Sam directly, so head left to find a Food Cache and then create a rope bridge to the rocky wall above. Climb around the inside of the wall to reach a walkway and then hop on the icy wall and circle the outside of the tower. In the next area, pull the bell sideways into the path of the wind to bust through the doorway and continue. Climb the wooden beams and create a rope bridge from the post to the bell across the way and then climb up, jumping when the game goes into slo-mo. Keep moving around the outskirts of the icy tower, climbing the remains of the buildings and walls until you reach the top.

After spotting Sam and the Sun Queen, hop down and make your way forward as waves of Solarii make their presence known. Use the cover areas to your advantage and don't get locked in on one target, as Solarii have a habit of popping up from the other side when you are focused on a single side. Once the ground units are gone, focus on the enemies in the building to the right and then move forward for a short scene.

The wind will knock over the tower and remove the boards, creating a path for Lara. Scramble up the wall and head down the other side for another scene and then dispatch more Solarii. Use the explosive barrels on the roof of the building to finish off the men throwing dynamite and continue forward. After a scene, jump across to the pillar and then to the rocky wall to enter the icy clearing.

An Oni Stalker will enter and engage Lara in a one-on-one fight. This fight is all about using the Shotgun on the back of the Oni by dodging into his attacks, which have a slow recovery, and then turn around to fire on him. Do this multiple times until the Oni staggers and a melee prompt appears over his head and then quickly rush in for a QTE attack. Each time you get this prompt the Stormguard archers will show up and attack, so make sure to take them out with your firearms before continuing to attack the Oni. Attack him three times with the melee prompt and then you'll be able to spam /, followed by /, to defeat the Oni. [100 XP]

Approach the ritual for a scene [100 XP] and then follow the QTE prompts to finish off Mathius:

Hidden Tombs

The following is a list of the hidden tombs and the solutions for each. Tombs are found throughout the areas of the game and are non-combat puzzle areas that always lead to 1250 XP, 250 Salvage, and a treasure map.

Tomb of the Unworthy

Reward: Mountain Village Relic Map

Follow the linear path to reach a day camp and pass the waterfall to reach the actual puzzle room. Hop across the platform with the hanging corpses and quickly jump across again to light your torch. This will allow you to lighten the weight of the platform by burning the corpses, but you'll have to push the cage down on the other side to raise the platform up to the rock wall.

Halls of Ascension

Reward: Mountain Village GPS Cache Map

Move through the cave and look for some Salvage near the skeleton with red candles around it. As you enter the tomb you'll notice two valves: one that controls the shutters and another that controls the lift. In order to reach the treasure you'll need to shut the shutters and then raise the lift when the first shutter busts open. This will allow enough time to jump onto the platform before the remaining shutters open and push the lift against the wall. If you raise the lift too early it won't make it to the wall where you need to scramble to reach a ledge that leads to the treasure.

Well of Tears

Reward: Shantytown Relic Map

Follow the linear path down the well while collecting the Salvage x2 on the ground and then shoot the Salvage x2 in nets over the next two ledge with fire arrows. When you enter the tomb you'll notice a cage above and some yellow cans. You'll need to toss three cans on the cage to lower it to the ground and then stand on the cage and toss one can off. Once you step off the cage it will begin to raise, so rush up to the camp and jump on the cage before quickly jumping off to the ledge on the left.

Chamber of Judgement

Reward: Shantytown GPS Cache Map

Stormguard Sanctum

Reward: Summit Forest Relic Map

Head inside until you reach the camp and then look up to spot two unlit brazier that can be lit with a fire arrow to help light the room. In order to clear a path above you'll need to shoot the natural gas to clear the debris and then light another brazier above the gas. You can now shoot the gas again and quickly scramble up the wall, turn left, and climb up another ledge. Light another brazier near the platform and use Survival Instinct to spot another brazier and some crates across the way. Shoot the clothed crates with a fire arrow to clear the debris and then jump across and grab the rocky wall to reach the treasure.

The Flooded Vault

Reward: Shipwreck Beach Relic Map

You can now wade through the water to the staircase in the back corner for the treasure.

Temple of the Handmaidens

Reward: Shipwreck Beach GPS Cache Map
