Introduction

Well, looks like I might be going 2-then-2 when it comes to the FAQ Completion Projects this summer: first two for the NES, then now two for the GameBoy... Okay, maybe not, given my current impediment on Sansara Naga. Anyways. Welcome to my second GB FAQ for the summer. This covers the game Bomberman GB 3, part of the Bomberman action-puzzle game series. To be honest, I've no idea why it wasn't already covered. I mean, there's a lot of entries in the Bomberman series, so I can only presume it's popular in Japan (many of them being Japan-only), and it's been translated.... Well, whatever. It's a good game and I hope to FAQ it to give myself something to do. =P

It's been nearly twenty years since this game's launch in 1996 by Hudson Soft. And since then, not a single FAQ has been written for it. Well, there's always a first time for everything, no? Ever since the start of the GB FAQ Completion Project on GameFAQs several years ago - a project designed to get a guide out for every single GB game out there - many people have now been helped because older, rarer, less popular games have gotten guides.

And so, that is how I came upon this game. Thanks for listening to my ramblin'; hope you enjoy!

Basics of the Game

Game Controls

Button Resultant Effects
D-Pad Move around.
A Button Place bomb.
B Button N/A
Start Button Pause/unpause gameplay.
Select Button N/A

Note that these are the most basic of controls. Gaining techniques unlocks additional control systems.

Overview

Bomberman is a simple, but fun, puzzle game. There honestly isn't much to describe about it. The main goal of each level of the game, regardless of the mode, is to place bombs and thereby defeat every enemy. After doing so, you need to make your way to the exit, which will be a flashing tile.

Bombs are placed with the A Button, and their main purpose to destroy the surroundings: this mostly includes the flimsier of the objects in an area and enemies. By "flimsier", it's mostly a personal call on your part as to which that will be. For example, in the Wood stages in Story Mode, the "flimsier" objects would be the flowers, not the mushrooms, as you can gather. Bombs have a range of two "tiles" (one tile being the width of Bomberman or most objects) and will kill or destroy anything within that range horizontally or vertically - even you, so it's best to back off after placing a bomb. Only one bomb can be placed at a time, though, but it is worth noting that only you can walk over the bombs: you can thus trap enemies with them.

Umm.... Anything else? Well, there's lives, which are lost by running out of time or being damaged (by yourself or a foe), and the game is over when all of them are lost. That's about it, though. It's pretty simple. =P

Story Mode Walkthrough

A Quick Note... (MUST READ!)

As it happens, to some extent, most of the levels' structures are randomly generated, mostly in the extent of the destroyable objects within the levels. Thus, a step-by-step walkthrough is not possible, due to this chaotic nature. However, I am willing to place a map of my own experience - mostly because I removed the sprites and took screenshots on my emulator - and give some general info, such as tactics, targets, and other notes as applicable (though this latter thing won't make much of an appearance, since most levels are "search and destroy"). Just saying.

Also, I will assume you're playing the areas in the order named. If it matters, stages flow like so:

  • You first can choose between Wood, City, and Ice
  • After beating all those, you can choose between Sand, Lava, and Aqua
  • Then comes Evil

Technique Shop

When you beat the boss of an area (such as the Wood, City, or Ice areas), you will be able to grab several capsules. (The number will vary.) These can be used as currency in the technique shop you will visit after the fight. There, you can buy various techniques, or leave early and save up the capsules, whichever you prefer. Below is the list of techniques you can buy and their general effects. Be sure to see a demo in the actual shop when you press Select over the tech!

Of these, the big ones to buy would be the Line Bomb or Full Power and any of the Moto power-ups that you prefer. Also be sure to take note that only one of the Motocycle power-ups can be used in a given level at a time. For example, you can't use all four, just one. Like you could really ride four motocycles at once. =P

Technique Cost Explanation / Execution
K (Kick) 1 Capsule Place a bomb and run into it to kick it, then press B to stop it from moving.
D (Dash) 1 Capsule Use the B Button to move faster than normal.
L (Line-Bomb) 1 Capsule Press A twice to lay four bombs in a horizontal or vertical row, all at once!
F (Full Power) 7 Capsules By default, you always can place up to six bombs, each with a six-tile range!!
M1 (Moto-1) 1 Capsule Essentially allows you to withstand an additional hit.
M2 (Moto-2) 2 Capsules Same as Moto-1, but also lets you go over indestructible obstacles one tile wide.
M3 (Moto-3) 2 Capsules Same as Moto-1. Plus, you can hold B and run into destroyable obstacles to destroy them!
M4 (Moto-4) 4 Capsules Allows you to withstand two additional hits. Plus, holding B lets you move much faster, even more than Dash.

[The game focuses on the Bomber Nebula, Planet 11: "Owen".]

"Wah! Earthquake! Help!" "What's that?" "E... Evil Bomber!"

Trapped in the underground for ages, Evil Bomber has returned!

"Wah! Darn! The energy from the Bomber Capsules has been taken!"

The Bombermen must defend Owen from Evil Bomber's attack!

"Shoot! How do we get the Capsules back? We'll beat you, Evil Bomber!"

Wood - Stage 1

  • Password: 0986400
  • Time: 3 minutes
  • Goal: Defeat all enemies
  • Targets: 3
  • Other Notes: Space here is unusually tight, so be sure to not get caught in your own explosions!

Wood - Stage 2, Part 1

  • Password: 11C4008
  • Time: 3 minutes
  • Goal: Destroy all enemy generators
  • Targets: 3
  • Other Notes: The generators themselves are always in set positions. Look for the bulbous things on the map below or in the demo sequence before the level begins. Also, to cross to the right half of the area, you must explode a bomb at the base of the tree in the northeast corner of the left half.

Wood - Stage 2, Part 2

  • Password: None
  • Time: 3 minutes
  • Goal: Destroy all enemy generators
  • Targets: 3
  • Other Notes: Nothing that should be different from the previous part. However, take note that the wooden springboards allow you to cross the bushy barriers, and you'll need to use them.

Wood - Stage 3, Part 1

  • Password: 19C6408
  • Time: 3 minutes
  • Goal: Defeat every large enemy
  • Targets: 2
  • Other Notes: Each enemy will take two hits to beat. This will be pretty easy if you try to block the enemies from moving by placing bombs in front of them while they're in the corners, but look out since they attack at a distance.

Wood - Stage 4, Part 1

  • Password: 2184010
  • Time: 3 minutes
  • Goal: Make the globular Bari Monster eat all of the mushrooms.
  • Targets: 3
  • Other Notes: The mushrooms in question are those things puffing out gas. Touching them yourself will kill you. There are three in all: one in the northwest corner, just to the south of it, and one in the southeast corner, while the Bari Monster is in the northeastern area. To get that thingy to the mushrooms, you need to hit it with a bomb as you would an enemy. (Careful! That Bari Monster will also kill you!) From there, it will follow you for a while, until it gets a mushroom in its sights. How far away you have to be from a mushroom to be able to escape safely is unknown, but generally getting out of the way as late as possible, letting the Bari run towards the mushrooms, will suffice. Thus, be sure to clear a path between the mushrooms that you plan to use (get rid of the flowers) and then begin luring the Bari.

Wood - Stage 4, Part 2

  • Password: None
  • Time: 3 minutes
  • Goal: Make the globular Bari Monster eat all of the mushrooms.
  • Targets: 3
  • Other Notes: Nothing you shouldn't understand from the previous stage.

Wood - Stage 5, Part 1

  • Password: 2986410
  • Time: 3 minutes
  • Goal: Find all of the Lapis Balls (which are in chests you bomb open) and collect lots of crystals. The Lapis Balls are the primary goal.
  • Targets: 3
  • Other Notes: Nothing in particular. Just note that enemies, too, can come out of the chests. The big difficulty will be the bat enemies that fly around. However, their radius is small: if you have a bomb range over 1 (lower-right corner, rightmost number), you should be able to place the bomb within range of where they land/

  • Other Notes: Nothing in particular.

^l9|The stage map I encountered.

Wood - Stage 6

  • Password: 39C6418
  • Time: 3 minutes
  • Goal: Beat the boss!
  • Targets: One, obviously =P
  • Other Notes: Dunno if it has something to do with getting the Bell Panels in the previous level, but at the start of the boss, I usually got some kind of power-up: for example, I've seen 1-Ups and three simultaneous range-boosters. The boss will usually start the fight by moving to the spot where you are, so look out for that. However, if you have an explosion range of four, be sure to place a bomb there ASAP - the range will hit the boss before it can even fly off. From there, it's hard to tell where it lands, but when it does land, it will launch out a worm-like enemy. It's not much of a threat - it mostly stuck to the outer portions of the arena in my fight - but still keep it in mind. The boss will also launch off two shots of spray or something from its wings that'll kill you: you can dodge them by being right between them, but that's risky: only do that if you'd be hit by bombs otherwise. The main strategy would be to lay bombs at intersections and hope the boss lands within range. By placing many bombs at once, you'll be able to cover huge swathes of the area, but keep in mind that, if a bomb explodes and it hits another bomb, then it'll explode immediately, so be careful when placing them. That's about it, though: dodge and set bombs. After winning the fight, be sure to collect the capsules that appear.

City - Stage 1

  • Password: CFBBF44
  • Time: 3 minutes
  • Goal: Defeat all enemies
  • Targets: 3
  • Other Notes: Nothing in particular. Just beware the electric gates!

^l11|The stage map I encountered.

City - Stage 2, Part 1

  • Password: D7F9B4C
  • Time: 3 minutes
  • Goal: Hit all of the switches with bombs
  • Targets: 4
  • Other Notes: The first switch is west of the start, and the remainder are stuck up in the northwest corner. =/

^l12|The stage map I encountered.

City - Stage 2, Part 2

  • Password: None
  • Time: 3 minutes
  • Goal: Defeat all enemies
  • Targets: 4
  • Other Notes: Nothing in particular. The main thing I found a bit irritiating was how you have to leave the platform where you trigger the fourth switch. Approach the gap south of the switch and double-tap Down on the D-Pad to leap down. =/

^l13|The stage map I encountered.

City - Stage 3, Part 1

  • Password: DFFBF4C
  • Time: 3 minutes
  • Goal: Defeat all of the large enemies
  • Targets: 2
  • Other Notes: The warp system in this level is very simple, actually. The left hole will go to the northeast area, and the right hole will go to the southwest area. Just go to whichever, beat the enemy, go back, and use the other hole, then come back for the exit. That's all there is to this one: the enemies are simple as ever.

  • Goal: Destroy all disk-like enemies. Pay attention to the demo to see what they look like, but think "UFO".
  • Targets: 2
  • Other Notes: Nothing in particular.

/===City - Stage 5, Part 1===
  • Password: EFBBF54
  • Time: 3 minutes
  • Goal: Use bombs to hit all of the switches! Also collect lots of crystals, but the switches are the main thing.
  • Targets: 4
  • Other Notes: This level auto-scrolls, so look out for that, but otherwise, nothing of note.

^l18|The stage map I encountered.

City - Stage 5, Part 2

  • Password: None
  • Time: 3 minutes
  • Goal: Use bombs to hit all of the switches! Also collect lots of crystals, but the switches are the main thing.
  • Targets: 4
  • Other Notes: Another auto-scroller.

^l19|The stage map I encountered.

City - Stage 6

  • Password: FFFBB5C
  • Time: 3 minutes
  • Goal: Beat the boss!
  • Targets: 1
  • Other Notes: It may be to your advantage to destroy the satellites in the corners of the arena: very occasionally, they'll shoot off energy. This energy can hurt you or the boss, but better to save yourself, IMO. Other than that, the boss is rather slow-moving nad shoots off two energy blasts on occasion. There's not a lot special to see here. Line Bombs are very effective here, though, since they cover a lot of the range that the boss will be soon covering. But, again, nothing special.

^l20|The stage map I encountered.

Ice - Stage 1

  • Password: CFBFF86
  • Time: 3 minutes
  • Goal: Defeat all enemies
  • Targets: 3
  • Other Notes: Since this is your first Ice stage, just keep in mind that the ice tends to increase inertia - a fact not often acknowledged in games of the GB, NES, and SNES eras, although definitely noticed in the good games. (Super Mario Bros. 3, for example.) That means that you'll tend to go farther than normal when you stop, so be aware of that; it could be easy to accidentally wander into an enemy or one of your bomb blasts. Nothing else worth noting, though.

^l21|The stage map I encountered.

Ice - Stage 2, Part 1

  • Password: D7FDB8E
  • Time: 3 minutes
  • Goal: Beat all enemies
  • Targets: 3
  • Other Notes: Be aware of the fact that using too many bombs could start up an avalanche; thus, Line Bombs are discouraged. Otherwise, nothing worth noting.

Ice - Stage 5, Part 1

  • Password: EFBFF96
  • Time: 3 minutes
  • Goal: Grab all of the Lapis Balls (the orbs). Collecting crystals and Bell Panels is also recommended, but not required.
  • Targets: 2
  • Other Notes: In this stage, large snowballs will roll along the level. They do not follow any particular path, though, so dodging them is more about just getting out of the way.

^l28|The stage map I encountered.

Ice - Stage 5, Part 2

  • Password: None

Ice - Stage 6

  • Password: FFFFF9E
  • Time: 3 minutes
  • Goal: Defeat the boss
  • Targets: 1, obviously!
  • Other Notes: For the hardest levels in the game, this boss is actually the easiest of them thus far, I feel. Line Bombs absolutely dominate in this battle: the boss moves too slow to be able to do much about them! After several hits, he splits into several snowmen, so placing Line Bombs makes it easy to hit most of them all at once! Those that survive do tend to follow you, so you can always just place bombs behind you to get them as they follow. You'll end up fighting the big snowman after that, then mo re little ones, then the main snowman lasts for one last hit. Pretty easy.

Sand - Stage 1, Part 1

  • Password: CEB7FE0

  • Other Notes: Look out for the skull-marked bombs - if they get exploded, you will die! Which means those preferring high-range bombs or Line Bombs will need to be especially careful.

Sand - Stage 6

  • Password: FEF7FF8
  • Time: 3 minutes
  • Goal: Beat the boss!
  • Targets: 1
  • Other Notes: This guy is essentially a tougher version of the Woods boss (see [[Woods - Stage 6]]). Essentially, he will, at random, land somewhere and, if no allying enemies are helping him, spawn one, although that enemy is usually negligible. Otherwise, the main threat is him simply shooting out two waves of some kind of easy-to-dodge powder. For the most part, it's just luck on getting where he lands to be correct, so placing lots of Line Bombs along the sides of the level works really well.

Lava - Stage 2, Part 2

  • Password: None
  • Time: 3 minutes
  • Goal: Defeat every enemy
  • Targets: 3
  • Other Notes: Large rocks tend to run rampant in this area in a manner similar to the Ice stages. Due to the huge number of obstacles in this area, it would be best to set up bombs that take out multiple rocks at once, and to do so quickly, so that you can avoid being hurt a lot.

Lava - Stage 3, Part 1

  • Password: DEFBC6C
  • Time: 3 minutes
  • Goal: Defeat all of the large enemies
  • Targets: 4 (2 enemies total)
  • Other Notes: These large enemies are bit unique in that they will split into enemies when hit the first time. They also tend to use long-range attacks. In any case, you're dealing with one large enemy per portion of the area. Line Bombs are best to hit wide areas, especially after the division.

Lava - Stage 6

  • Password: FEFB87C
  • Time: 3 minutes
  • Goal: Beat the boss!
  • Targets: 1
  • Other Notes: ... I'm not even sure if this should be considered a boss level. Placing lots of Line Bombs around the arena for wanton, widespread destruction usually hit the boss most of the time. He rarely countered except with several fireballs that were easy to dodge. Basically, place lots of Line Bombs along the center of the arena and hope you'll hit him, and then just keep going with it.

  • Targets: 4
  • Other Notes: Nothing, really - just note that the level autoscrolls. Timing Line Bomb placements will be key to a quick completion: simply place them down when there is an empty space between it and the enemies it spews out; most of the generators can be dealt with that way.

Aqua - Stage 2, Part 1

  • Password: D6FD8CE
  • Time: 3 minutes
  • Goal: Defeat every enemy
  • Targets: 3
  • Other Notes: The whirlpools in this level are the primary obstacle to overcome. Look near where you start, just to the right, and you'll see a conical object. That thing can be triggered with a bomb and move the whirlpool to the north out of your way so you can continue on. Once the whirlpool has stopped, set a bomb within range of the switch and run to the small alcove that the whirlpool passed: the bomb will explode, retrigger the switch, and move the whirlpool back. Use that to your advantage. Same goes for the open conch shells that do some warping (top-left/bottom-right). Remember that, in this instance, when you warp, you need to place a bomb and warp back so you don't get hurt, and you need to repeat that several times to destroy all of the coral so you can hit that jellyfish thingy.

Aqua - Stage 6

  • Password: FEFF8DE
  • Time: 3 minutes
  • Goal: Beat the boss!
  • Targets: 1
  • Other Notes: Another unusually easy boss. This boss's offense mostly consists of single, long-range projectiles, but he can also summon things at the corners to shoot bullets at you: these can be destroyed pretty easily with some bombs. Otherwise, this fight mostly devolves into a spam-a-thon with the Line Bombs and covering large tracts of area.

Evil - Stage 1, Part 1

  • Password: CF37D40
  • Time: 3 minutes
  • Goal: Destroy all of the enemy generators
  • Targets: 4
  • Other Notes: In this area, you'll need to use bombs on the towers to light up the area and be able to see, but that's the main thing. You'll have to light up the towers again on occasion, so sticking close to them may be best if the darkness troubles you, but you can just as easily figure out what's what there. Evil - Stage 3, Part 1

  • Password: DEFFCCE
  • Time: 3 minutes
  • Goal: Beat the clone of Evil Bomber!
  • Targets: 1
  • Other Notes: Nothing too difficult. The clone will mostly fly around, and, when it lands, launch four rocks (two to the north, two to the south). They're easy enough to dodge, but the only time you can hurt him is when he lands. That said, he also won't turn in mid-air, just flying in one direction until he lands: use that to your advantage to determine the general area where he lands - always a four-way intersection - and place some bombs near there. Line Bomb is great for wide tracts. As usual.

^l68|The stage map I encountered.

Evil - Stage 3, Part 2

  • Password: None
  • Time: 3 minutes
  • Goal: Beat the clone of Evil Bomber!
  • Targets: 1
  • Other Notes: Not much different from the previous fight. However, take note of those skull bombs at the corners. This can hugely restrict you if you got the Full Power technique. See, those, when blown up, kill you immediately. That means that high-range bombs near the edge can be a VERY bad idea, so keep that in mind.

Evil - Stage 6, Part 1

  • Password: F775958
  • Time: 3 minutes
  • Goal: Beat the final boss, Evil Bomber!
  • Targets: 1
  • Other Notes: It's not a lot difficult from fighting a bulkier version of the clone you fought in Stage 3. Here, though, Evil Bomber will alternate between shooting needles at you (which can be dodged by being right between two of the pillars at the same time: he'll only shoot along the completely-open vertical columns) and a four-directional rock attack. In the latter, he will land, so try to predict, as before, where he'll land so you can hit him with a bomb. He has an innate tendency to home in on where you were the moment he ended his needle attack so look for that to be a good strategy.

^l74|The stage map I encountered.

Evil - Stage 6, Part 2

  • Password: None
  • Time: 3 minutes
  • Goal: Beat the final boss, Evil Bomber!
  • Targets: 1
  • Other Notes: This fight is much more difficult than the previous one. Here, you will have two hands at the sides of the field, slamming on the center every five seconds or so to try and hit you. They, of course, will adjust their vertical position as needed in order to do so. Meanwhile, at the top, you'll find a brain. Hit that five times and Evil Bomber will pop out of it and start moving around, and you need to hit him an additional five times to finish him off. This latter task shouldn't be too hard so long as you stay away from the hands and sweep wide parts of the area with Line Bombs, though, since he loves to follow you.

After this, you will be given a secret password - DEB1F7F. Press Start to return to the title screen and feel free to input it: it initiates a boss rush mode in which you are essentially ranked based on your ability to win the bosses!

Challenge Mode

The Basics

Challenge Mode plays a bit differently from the Story Mode. When you start, you have two different modes from which you can choose: there is a Field Stage and a Panic Stage. This is essentially an "Easy" or "Hard" mode setting in that instance, since the goal remains the same, but the Panic Stage is noticably more difficult. After that, you will get to choose whether your clock will count down from two or five minutes. For the record, two minutes is about as long as it'll take to run through the stage in a speed-runner fashion, so it's actually very difficult.

After that, you will choose the character with whom you'll play. There are three in all, and they differ in the techs that they have, the techs themselves also being derived from Story Mode. Further details and tactics regarding these will be found in the Character Selection section.

After completing the main level (the map you'll see in the following sections regarding Field/Panic), you will end up fighting a boss.

After that, your score will be totaled on the following bases:

  • Score Before Finishing: Basically, points achieved during the level. This won't be shown on the Record screen.
    • Crystals: 50 points each - only found in the Panic Stage
    • Enemies: 100 points per kill
    • Large Enemies: 2,000 points per kill
    • Lapis Balls: 400 points each - they're found in chests, so bomb 'em open
    • Boss: 5,000 points

  • Time: 50 points per second

  • Blocks: 30 points per destroyable object destroyed

  • Enemies: An additional 80 points per kill

After, you will get a ranking based on your performance.

Character Selection

^sr78|Character selection.

Character Tech(s) Tech Explanation and Execution
Top K (Kick) Place a bomb and run into it to kick it, then press B to stop it from moving.
D (Dash) Use the B Button to move faster than normal.
L (Line-Bomb) Press A twice to lay four bombs in a horizontal or vertical row, all at once!
Middle M3 (Moto-3) You can withstand one more hit, and you can hold B to run into destroyable objects and get rid of them
D (Dash) Use the B Button to move faster than normal.
Bottom M4 (Moto-4) Allows you to withstand two additional hits. Plus, holding B lets you move much faster, even more than Dash.

Each character has their own particular advantage, too, when you think about it.

  • Top Character (K/D/L): This character is best designed for those looking to get high points, and is thus best suited with Field/5 Minute plays of the game. The added range due to Kick and the sweeping nature of Line Bomb make it much easier to get multiple enemies in one hit. From a different angle, this character is also good for sweeping away multiple obstacles and moving quickly towards the goal. Personally, I feel this character to be the best of them all.

  • Middle Character (M3/D): This character is best designed for those looking for pure speed: you're able to rush through obstacles without anally placing bombs everywhere. You can have problems in the boss, but, if you know his strategy, you'll be more than okay. Thus, this is oriented for those having completed Story Mode, knowing how the boss works.

  • Bottom (M4): This is actually the least advantageous of the three characters, as he is dedicated towards bulk and speed. However, you still have to set up bombs to remove obstacles, so that speed is wasted ... on Field Stages. However, since there are fewer obstacles in the Panic Stage, you'll find him working well there, especially if you have trouble with the boss and need the extra two hits to be able to survive. Tbus, I recommend this guy for 5 minute playthroughs for the unexperienced or for Panic Stages.

Field Stage

  • Recommended Character: The top (K/D/L techs) or middle (M3/D techs) character; moreso the middle for speed-runs
  • Personal Bests: 58 seconds for time, 19,330 for score
  • Notes: In this stage, your goal is simply to go through the gate in the southeast corner before defeating the boss, and there is little else to it. Betting points in this level is mostly reliant on a combination of luck, speed, and your ability to destroy the flowers in the level. Thus, it would be best to place as many bombs as possible around enemies and objects to destroy - even though they may not be an impediment - while also speeding to the goal. Additionally, as you near the goal, be sure to explode the chests to the north of it: one or more will have a Lapis Ball.

^l76|Field Stage map.

Panic Stage

  • Recommended Character: The bottom character (M4 tech)
  • Personal Bests: 50 seconds for time, 25,150 for score
  • Notes:
  • First Part: This level takes place in two parts: the second part will be determined by which stump you use in the first to head to the second. The first area is filled with crystals, so speed along collecting most of them. As you go along south and east across the springboards, those looking for fast times will want to use the southeastern of the stumps to head to a different area. Those aiming for score will want to finish the path via the northeast or central exits, whichever you prefer. The central exit does have a better score in my experience, but to each their own.
    • Second Part - Southeast: Here, you will find the exit in the southeast corner: it's easy to destroy the impeding objects and dodge around the enemies in the holes to get through fast enough.
    • Second Part - Northeast: This is another crystal-filled area: though the exit happens to be to the east of you, be sure to actually scour the level and open all of the northeastern chests, since there's a lot of points to be earned here, especially if you get lucky on the Lapis Balls.
    • Second Part - Central: This area is mostly focused on battling: grab the range-boosting power-up to the east of you, then go north and place bombs in the enemies' paths. Each enemy will die in two hits, yielding 2,000 points each. Speed-runners can skip the battling via the southeastern exit, if they prefer.

^l77|Panic Stage map: Part 1 ^l79|Panic Stage map: Part 2 - southeast exit from Part 1 ^l80|Panic Stage map: Part 2 - northeast exit from Part 1 ^l81|Panic Stage map: Part 2 - central exit from Part 1

Boss Stage

The boss stage will come after finishing the main area of the Field Stage or the second area of the Panic Stage, and, for both, it is the same. In fact, it is the same as fighting of the Evil Bomber clones.

The clone will end up moving around the field, stopping, and then releasing four rocks to the northeast, northwest, southeast, and southwest: they travel shortly before going due north or due south. Dodging those isn't hard, since you just need to get far out of the way. The clone, however, will land near wherever you were just as he ended the attack, essentially homing in on your location. As he gets near, place a bomb down and leave the spot and he'll be hurt as he lands: if you time it right, you can get in another bomb attack by passing near him and placing it down quickly and then zooming off.

It's pretty easy, especially if you've already cleared Story Mode. Three hits will kill the boss, netting you 5,000 points. You will then get your score totaled and a rank shall be given.

Passwords

Note that these passwords will assume the progress I made in the game whilst making the walkthrough. Thus, that means these will work in the order of going through the Wood, City, Ice, Sand, Lava, Aqua, and Evil areas, in that order. As expected, these will only work for the start of the stages as well: there are no passwords for the "second part" of a stage.

But, first, the secret password.
