Introduction

 About Watch Dogs

Watch Dogs is a 2014 open-world game from Ubisoft, available for the following platforms:

  • PC
  • PlayStation 3
  • PlayStation 4
  • Xbox 360
  • Xbox One
  • Wii U*

*As of this walkthrough's latest publication, the Wii U version of Watch Dogs is scheduled for release in Q4 2014.

Watch Dogs is similar to games like Grand Theft Auto V and Sleeping Dogs in that it takes place in a large city in which you can walk and drive around, accepting missions to progress the game's story. However, it is unique in that the entire city, a fictional version of Chicago, is controlled by a computer network called ctOS. As Aiden Pearce, you will hack the city and its inhabitants with your trusty mobile (cell phone) to pave your own way through the game.

For example, let's say there's an enemy between Aiden and an objective. The enemy is standing next to a junction box that you can explode to take the enemy out. Or, you can hack the enemy, see that the enemy is obsessed with online video game sales, then send the enemy a fake message to distract them while you slip by. Or, you can trigger a area-wide blackout and run past the enemy unseen.

Watch Dogs released to generally positive reviews, with a 77 Metascore (PC). As of this walkthrough's latest publication, Ubisoft continues to update the game with Downloadable Content (DLC).

About This Walkthrough

This walkthrough describes how to complete the main story in Watch Dogs by killing the least number of enemies possible (six by my count). Consequently, the walkthrough describes how to complete parts of the game using stealth to completely bypass would-be enemy combatants.

NOTE  This walkthrough does not describe how to complete any side content or DLC. However, you can still use the strategies outlined in Stealth/Non-Lethal Strategies to complete this content.

Why I Wrote This Walkthrough

I wrote this walkthrough because I was frustrated that, despite offering plenty of opportunities to approach things stealthily and without killing anyone, Watch Dogs often forces the player into situations that all but require them to kill people. I wanted to challenge myself and push the limits of the game to see how few people I would need to kill to complete it, and thought others might benefit from my findings.

Make no mistake: certain parts of the game were designed with lethal combat in mind, making parts of this walkthrough somewhat frustrating to get through. By all means, play the game as you want and feel free to use the guide during the sections that you feel warrant it. For the hardcore among us, I offer you the most merciful Watch Dogs walkthrough yet.

I wrote this walkthrough while playing Watch Dogs for the PC, with an official Microsoft Xbox 360 Controller, on the Realistic (highest) difficulty.

Spoiler Policy

This walkthrough contains NO spoilers with regards to the plot in Watch Dogs. However, certain sections might indirectly reveal parts of the plot based on the objectives or with which you need to interact. Generally, if you don't skip ahead, you won't be at risk of being spoiled.

Stealth/Non-Lethal Strategies

This section outlines some strategies to use when following this walkthrough.

Stealth Strategies

  • Run and hide when possible. Many fights can be evaded by simply running away and hiding from your pursuers. This is obviously preferable to fighting.
  • Use blackouts often. With blackouts, you can run past enemies undetected to get to mission objectives. Remember that blackouts are only effective at night or indoors, and that any electronic equipment you might need to hack is unavailable during a blackout.
  • Use lures to break enemy patrol patterns. If enemies are patrolling in such a way where you cannot progress without getting spotted, you can break an enemy's pattern by tossing a lure nearby and triggering it. Any nearby enemies will walk over to investigate, allowing you time to slip past or take them down stealthily.

Non-Lethal Strategies

  • Shoot enemies in the legs and feet. When you deal the final shot to an enemy in the legs or feet, the game will indicate that you have Neutralized the enemy, which means you incapacitated them without killing them. Most enemies go down after only a few shots to the appendages, but some are armored and take more.
  • Use shotguns at short range, use automatic rifles mid-to-long range. Up close, enemies' legs make great targets for shotgun blasts. Further away, use burst fire with an automatic rifle. Generally, pistols are too weak or slow for anything other than headshots (which we're avoiding), and zooming in with sniper rifles is too disorienting in combat.

General Strategies

  • Stay behind cover at all times. Cover hides you from enemies that haven't seen you, and protects you from those that have. You should only break cover for mere seconds in order to shoot at a target, or to move to another location.
  • Use takedowns while unarmed. If you press the takedown button while unarmed, you'll take them down non-lethally. Take down guards from behind when you're going stealth. Make sure that you're unarmed so that you don't accidentally use a lethal takedown with a weapon.
  • Be careful what you hack. You might think you're raising a barricade, but if your cursor is over a junction box and you press the hack button, the box will explode and kill any nearby enemies.

This section describes recommended skills to buy when following this walkthrough.

This walkthrough recommends when you should buy certain skills. If you follow the walkthrough from beginning to end, without doing any side content, you should use the recommended skill progression. For your convenience, the progression is outlined below:

Hacking Skills

Skills in the Hacking tree let you interact with your environment to create distractions and potentially lethal environmental hazards.

Hacker's Tool Kit

You start with this skill. It's used for hacking camera systems, among other things.

ATM Hack Boost

Not recommended. Cash is never much of an issue, especially for this walkthrough. The only reason to get this would be in order to get the next skill, Profiler Optimization.

Profiler Optimization

Optional. Before you can buy crafted items, you'll have to make them yourself, and the most useful ones require system keys, which you can get from hacking civilians. With this skill, the Profiler will highlight these civilians.

ATM Hack Boost Plus

Not recommended. See ATM Hack Boost.

 

Extra Battery

Not recommended. You will rarely run out of battery juice, so your skill points are best spent elsewhere.

Extra Battery II

Not recommended. See Extra Battery.

Extra Battery III

Not recommended. See Extra Battery.

Utilities

You start with this skill. It's used for exploding junction boxes, which is not something you'll do often.

Disrupt Enemy Comms

Recommended. Although highly situational, this skill lets you temporarily stun some enemies by hacking their headsets. Great for sneaking by or stealthily taking out these enemies.

Disable Reinforcement Calls

Recommended. Instead of using jam coms, you can usee this skill to proactively hack enemies who can call reinforcements to prevent them from doing so.

 
 

L-Train Control

Recommended. You'll need to escape enemies by geting on the train a few times, and you can use this skill to force it to keep moving when it reaches stops.

Transformers

Not recommended. This is a lethal skill with a side effect of causing a blackout, but you have the blackout items for that.

 

Traffic Lights

You start with this skill. It's used for hacking lights, which is actually not that useful as you'll use the Steam Pipes skill to disable vehicles instead.

Gates and Garages

Required. This skill opens gates and garages, which you'll do often.

Disable Helicopter

Optional. You can succesfully evade all the helicopters in the game, but this skill will buy you some temporary distance and protect you from the helicopter snipers.

Improved Disable Helicopter

Optional. Get this skill if you get the Disable Helicopter skill, as it's an improved version with a longer disable duration.

  

Bridges

Recommended. This skill raises bridges on city roads, which is not that useful. The real reason to get it is for the next skill, Steam Pipes.

Steam Pipes

Reccommended. With this skill, you can explode steam pipes under manholes throughout the city roads. This is the best way to disable vehicles.

  

Blockers

Not recommended. There are plenty of other, better ways to stop vehicles that are pursuing you.

Road Spikes

Not reccommended. See Blockers.

Combat Skills

Skills in the Combat tree enhance your survivability, your combat abilities, and (oddly enough) your stealth abilities.

Focus

Recommended. With Focus, you can slow down time and aim at enemies as they move around. You can also more easily hack things as you drive.

Improved Focus

Optional. This increases the maximum Focus duration. Get this skill if you use Focus a lot.

Slowed Focus

Optional. With this skill, time slows down even more in Focus. Get this skill if you have difficulty hitting moving targets while in Focus.

Maximum Focus

REQUIRES 10 CHESS PUZZLES TO UNLOCK

Not recommended. Unless you enjoy playing chess, this skill just isn't worth it for the time it adds to the maximum Focus duration. The previous Focus skills should be more than enough for you.

 

Stealth Sprint

Recommended. This skill is a necessity for stealth gameplay. With it, you can run right behind guards without them hearing your footsteps.

Critical Focus

REQUIRES 1 CRIMINAL CONVOY TO UNLOCK

Optional. This skill gives you a focus boost at critical health. There are occaisions where you'll find yourself at critical health, but if you want Focus, you can always just stay behind cover and wait for it to recharge.

 

Quick Switch

Not recommended. Your default weapon switch speed is good enough.

Pistol Expert

Not recommended. You'll rarely use pistols.

Shotgun Expert

Not recommended. You'll rarely, if ever, use a shotgun to disable a vehicle.

Sniper Rifle Expert

Not recommended. You'll rarely use sniper rifles.

   

Auto Weapons Expert

REQUIRES WAVE 5 IN NVZN TO UNLOCK

Not recommended. The default accuracy on your automatic weapons is perfectly fine if you use burst fire.

Steady Aim

Recommended. This skill reduces your recoil, which is all fine and good, but the real reason to get it is for the skills it unlocks.

Bullet Resistance

Recommended. Enemies hit hard by the middle of the game, and you'll need all the survivability you can get.

Blast Resistance

Recommended. Enemies love tossing grenades, and this skill will make sure you don't die when one explodes next to your feet.

Rapid Reload

REQUIRES 5 GANG HIDEOUTS TO UNLOCK

Not recommended. You'll always want to reload from cover, so a slightly faster reload speed isn't going to matter.

 

Demolitionist

Recommended. Increases the amount of explosives you can carry. This skill is useless, but the Enforcer Combat Takedown skill that it eventually unlocks is very helpful.

Expert Demolitionist

Recommended. See Demolitionist.

Enforcer Combat Takedown

Recommended. Enforcers are the most heavily armored enemy in the game and take a ton of bullets in the legs or arms to neutralize. With this skill, you can take down enforcers with only your trusty stick.

Crafted Items Skills

Skills in the Crafted Items tree allow you to craft both utility and offensive equipment. 

NOTE  When you complete Act II/Mission 4, you'll be able to purchase crafted items from a vendor. However, crafting the items yourself will always be cheaper, so buy the recommended skills and keep the required materials on hand.

Driving Skills

Skills in the Driving tree

Car Unlock

Recommended. With this skill, you can hijack parked cars without triggering alarms or having to unlock the doors, speeding up the process and avoiding any nosey citizens who might otherwise report your activities.

Defensive Driver

Not recommended. This skill reduces damage to your vehicle. You won't find yourself in many car chases, and vehicles are pretty resilient to begin with.

Precision Driver

Not recommended. This skill reduces the chances of your tires blowing out, but as long as you avoid spike traps and helicopter snipers, this will never happen.

Escape Artist

Not recommended. This completely useless skill reduces the radius in which patrols can find you when you're hiding in your car. You should never hide in your car.

  

Off-Road Driver

Not recommended. This skill improves your handling when driving off-road. You will rarely need to drive off road, and your handling is fine without this skill.

Offensive Driver

REQUIRES 5 FIXER CONTRACTS TO UNLOCK

Not recommended. You should never try taking out a vehicle with your own vehicle.

Weapons and Crafted Items

This section describes weapons and crafted items to use when following this walkthrough.

Weapons

You should not need to purchase any weapons or ammo while playing Watch Dogs using this walkthrough.

Pick up weapons and ammo that enemies drop. Stick to shotguns for short range combat and assault rifles for mid-to-long range combat, and always use the gun with the highest star rating.

Crafted Items

You can get crafted items in the following ways:

  • Finding them lying around.
  • Crafting them from components using the necessary skills. You can get components in the following ways:
    • Finding them lying around.
    • Purchasing them from thrift stores.
    • Hacking civilians (system keys only).
  • Purchasing them from a vendor after Act II/Mission 4.

The best practice is to purchase the skills needed to craft the recommended items, then get the components as needed. This, however, can prove time consuming, especially when you need to get system keys, so you might want to save your money for purchasing pre-crafted items from the vendor after Act II/Mission 4.

Regardless of how you get your crafted items, you should always keep a few of the recommended ones on reserve, plus the components needed to make more. This walkthrough notes for each mission section the quantity of crafted items needed to follow the section.

Recommended. Toss lures near an enemy, then trigger them to make a noise that attracts the enemy to where it was dropped. These are great for sneaking past enemies or taking them out stealthily.

Recommended. Enemies will frequently attempt to call for backup. You can prevent backup from coming by using jam coms during the call. You can also use jam coms to block police scans.
Blackout

Recommended. A blackout disables all nearby electronics, including lights. Use them at night time or indoors to breeze through heavily guarded areas undetected. Remember that if you need to hack something in the area, you'll have to wait for the blackout to end before you can do so.
ctOS Scan

Not recommended. A ctOS scan identifies all enemies in the area on your map. You can do this yourself by just tagging the enemies while in a camera, or just getting close enough for an enemy to appear on the map automatically.
Frag Grenade

Not recommended. Frag grenades are almost always lethal, and we don't want that.

IED

Not recommended. IEDs explode when you manually trigger them. You will actually want to use these in one situation, but there you'll be able to pick them up, so no crafting is required. Otherwise, they're lethal.
Proximity IED

Not recommended. Proximity IEDs explode when enemies get near them. You'll never need to use them, and they're lethal.
Focus Boost
  • 1x Meds
Optional. Focus Boost temporarily increases your Focus duration and restores your spent Focus. It's useful in difficult combat situations, but by no means required.

Walkthrough

This section describes how to complete each mission of the game as stealthily/non-lethally as possible.

NOTE  You can start missions at any time of the day and the game will automatically move forward time to a preset time. However, if you restart a mission or checkpoint, the game will restart the mission from the time at which you restarted the mission.

For example, it's day out and you start a sneaking mission that is preset to start at night. The game starts the mission at night. After you spend several minutes sneaking around, you end up getting caught by an enemy and failing the mission, just as the sun rises. The mission will restart at sunrise.

With this in mind, I have made sure to recommend using blackouts outside only for missions that are supposed to occur at night, and even then, only sparingly. If you find yourself needing to use a blackout and it's light outside, either find an alternate means to slip past enemies, or restart the mission as it gets dark.

Prologue 

After the cutscene, "shoot" Maurice and take him down. Hack his phone and listen to the message.

Pick up the cash in the locker behind you, then leave the locker room. Get to the waypoint. Cutscene.

Take cover behind the boxes next to chain-link fence. Wait for the cops to move to the other side of their van, then sneak up the ramp to your left.

Reach the waypoint and hack the camera in front of you. Hck another camera on the other side of the locked door. Hack the next two cameras in order to hack the control box to the door.

With the door open, head inside. Follow the instructions that the game provides to distract the standing guard with a lure. Sneak up the deactivated escalator to the next waypoint.

Sneak past the crowd through the rear of the room to the next waypoint. Wait for the conversation to end, then hack the camera on the other side of the glass. Hack another camera in order to hack the guard with the access code. Then, hack the nearby control console in order to hack the security system.

Use a blackout and sneak past the guards through the rear of the room. You won't get caught as long as you keep moving and don't get too close to the guards. When you get downstairs, sprint to the waypoint.

Walk through the blacked-out bar. When you get outside, head to the car that Jordi has left for you. Once you're in the car, drive north in order to get outside of the police search area. Use alternative routes and alleys to avoid roadblocks and patrols.

After you leave the police search area, turn around and drive to your hide-out. Head upstairs to the waypoint. Cutscene.

After the phone conversation, get the Gates & Garages skill from the Hacking tree (the games forces you to). Then, purchase any skills that you want. Your selection is limited to mostly tier one skills until you complete a later mission. For now, I would recommend getting Car Unlock in the Driving tree, L-Train Control and Bridges from the Hacking tree, Focus from the Combat tree, and Jam Coms from the Crafted Items tree. When you are finished, leave the Skills screen.

Mission Complete.

Act I / Mission 1

Sleep in your bed until morning. Cutscene.

Hack at least person on the second story of the motel to get their bank account information (the game forces you to). Then, head downstairs and into the streets until you find someone to hack for a potential crime (check the playground to the south of your hideout).

Head to the crime scene and wait for the victim to head into the alley. Hide behind the wooden crates next to the garage and watch the crime. As soon as the game tells you to intervene, hack the junction box to blow it up and scare the criminal. Chase after him and take him down.

Head to the waypoint.

Mission Complete.

Act I / Mission 2

Head to Nikki's front porch, then turn right and go around the back to the backyard. Cutscene.

Head inside your sister's house. After talking to her, she gets a phone call. Hack her phone when you get the chance. Cutscene.

After you hack the caller's location, get into the car and chase the caller. If you're fast, you can hack an upcoming traffic light to cause a pile-up that will get the caller out of his car. Otherwise, keep ramming into the car unti the caller gets out. You will have to chase him on foot. He will occaisionally shoot at you, but he's not much of a threat. Take him down, then hack his phone.

Mission Complete.

Act I / Mission 3

RECOMMENDED ITEMS: 2x Lure

If you don't have $1200, get into some nearby cars or hack civilians' bank accounts and head to the ATM. When you have the necessary funds, head to the weapon shop and buy the 416 assault rifle (the game forces you to).

Drive to the western entrance of the marked ctOS center. Hack the camera to the left and above the gate. Keep hacking cameras to get inside building to the south and find the guard with access. Hack that guard.

Hack the side door to the right of the gate and head inside. Head south and carefully sneak around the column next to a guard looking out from the threshold of the building. Either take him out or just head upstairs.

Take down the guard who patrols your aisle. Take cover behind the boxes and toss and use a lure past the guard leaning against the crates to distract both him and his friend. Head east and take out the guard facing the stacked boxes. Then, hack the security router.

Complete the hacking mini-game to get into the server room camera and unlock the control center.

Leave the area the same way you came in. You might need to distract those two guards with a lure again.

After you exit the restricted area, run or drive out of the search radius.

Mission Complete.

Act I / Mission 4

RECOMMENDED ITEMS: 3x Jam Com

Head to the mission marker. The game will tell you you're being hacked by another player. This is actual a scripted event that happens even if you have disabled online mode.

Head to the new mission marker. Open up your Profiler and run around the purple circle on the map until you find the fixer. When you do, the fixer runs away. Pull out your pistol and shoot the fixer in the legs.

If you miss, the fixer gets into a car, making your task more difficult. Get in a car and chase the fixer. You can try ramming into the fixer's car, or hacking traffic lights to cause an accident. Once you get the fixer out of the car, you can either shoot the fixer in the legs or chase and take down the fixer on foot.

After you have taken care of the fixer, Aiden monologues some. When you're instructed to do so, open up the Online Contracts app on your phone, then exit out (not sure why the game makes you do this with online mode disabled).

Make sure you have some system keys and spare parts to make a couple jam coms, then head back to the original mission marker to start the actual mission.

After you speak with your contact, head to the waypoint. When you get close, the police start scanning the area. Avoid the yellow scan circles if possible. If you cross into any circles, use a jam com to stop the police scan from progressing to 100%.

When you reach the waypoint, watch the cutscene. When it ends, you'll see police patrols and helicopters on your map. Wait for the nearby helicopter to fly over the bridge, then make a right into the alleyway. Drive to the very end and pause just before the turn. A patrol car stops in your line of sight for a few seconds, and then leaves.

Follow the patrol car left down the street and then follow its right turn, keeping your distance to avoid detection. On the next street, take an early right into the stairs next to the "Shop" banner. You will reach a courtyard. Turn right. The patrol car that you followed should have turned around by now, but be careful. Turn left onto the street.

Go straight, watching out for the police helicopter. Make a left at the second-to-last street (the one that goes all the way through to the four-way intersection), then make a right. Drive through the waypoint and keep going a bit more until the cops disappear from your map.

With the heat gone, head to the new waypoint to drop off the contact. Cutscene. Monologue. Phone call. Tutorial on Progression.

Mission Complete.

Act I / Mission 5

RECOMMENDED ITEMS: 1x Blackout

If you don't have at least one electronic parts and system key, get them.

Go to the mission marker, then downstairs to the subway station. Cutscene.

Open your skill tree. You now have access to all skills, plus five bonus skill points, bringing your current total to seven. Use four skill points on Stealth Sprint in the Combat tree, one on Blackout in the Crafted Items tree, and save the remaining two.

After the phone call with Clara, head to the waypoint.

Take cover behind the grill of the van parked perpendicular to the entrance of the enemy hideout. Hack the camera on the wall, then the camera on the other side of the open gate, then the camera at the far corner, then the camera around the turn. If you need another system key for a blackout, you can hack the phone on the nearby table. Then, hack the the control console below the camera and to the right. Exit the camera system.

Craft and use a blackout. Run inside the enemy hide-out and head straight for the waypoint. Knock out the guard standing next to the door, as he might see you if try to sneak by him. Run to the waypoint.

Take cover on the black side of the vending machine; there's no need to expose yourself here. Hack the camera above and in front of you, then the camera on the next level and on the opposite side of the area. You should see a guard with a hidden camera patrolling on the left side. Hack his camera and wait for him to go inside the room where your target is. He walks right up to it. Hack it.

Complete the hacking mini-game. When you get to the office camera, hack the laptop behind the man on the phone.

Run back the way you came, into the storage room and back into the outer area of the enemy hide out. Don't worry; the guards that you snuck past in the blackout will be gone. Instead of dealing with them, you'll have to deal with another police scan. Fortunately, Clara sends you some jam coms for free. Get in a car and head out, avoiding the yellow scan circles on the map as before. Use the jam coms as needed. Stopping and trying to avoid the circles entirely might be a better idea than just driving wrecklessly into them.

Once you evade the police, Mission Complete.

Act I / Mission 6

RECOMMENDED ITEMS: 1x Blackout

Get enough parts for another blackout, then head to the mission marker in the alleyway.

Continue down the alleyway until you get to the big area with boxes and a control console you have to hack. Reach the box to find out that the data flow is split to two other consoles.

You can hack the first of the two consoles by turning around and hacking the camera to your right and above you. As the camera, look down and to the right and hack the first console.

To hack the second console, head east down to the ground level and down a "NO PARKING" ramp. When you reach the bottom, look up and to your left and hack the lift to lower it. With the lift lowered, you can hack the camera next to it and then hack the console on the other side of the area.

Go back to the original control consoles. With the other two consoles hacked, you can now hack it. Complete the mini-game and you'll end up looking through a camera inside a messy room. Hack the camera, wait for the message to appear on the display, then hack the phone on the microwave oven in front of you.

After the caller talks to you and you finish monologuing, you'll automatically exit the system and take cover behind a steel sheet attached to the railing. Snipers and a car full of fixers appear. Stay behind cover until you use your blackout, then run down to the ground level, sticking to the right wall. When you drop, make a right into the building and go down the steps. You will probably have to knock out a fixer coming your way.

Keep running down the steps until you reach a parking structure. On the side opposite you is another door. Take it and go up the stairs this time.

When you get outside, make a right to get out of the red circle on the map. When fixer patrols appear on the map, run back inside and keep cover on the stairs until they give up. Head all the way downstairs back into the parking structure and head left up the ramp. Hack the garage door to get back on the streets and away from any lingering patrols.

Drive to the waypoint. You'll want to get on foot to reach the meeting place. Cutscene. Monologue.

Act I / Mission 7

RECOMMENDED ITEMS: 1x Lure, 1x Blackout

NOTE  This next mission ends with a tricky evasion involving a helicopter. However, the method that I describe does not require the Disable Helicopter skill. It does, however, require a blackout and a lure, so make sure you have those or the components for them before starting (you'll find a spare system key while on the mission). I have tried many methods and this is the only one I have found that doesn't involve getting into a car chase.

Get to the mission marker at the graveyard. Cutscene.

After a brief monologue, Jordi calls you and tells you to get to the next waypoint. Do this and it will become nighttime.

Climb up the planter and the Gorman Heights building to reach the next waypoint. Cutscene.

Go back to the ground level and cross the bridge. When you get to the other side, enter the restricted area through an unlocked gate to your right. Make your way down the stairs. When you reach the train tracks at the bottom, head right. Use the boxes and the shadows to make your way up to the gate leading inside on the right wall. Look out for snipers; their red laser sights show where they are looking. Wait for opportunities to change cover.

When you get to the gate leading inside, quickly run up to the guard and take him down with your stick; otherwise, Jordi will snipe him. His shot won't alert the others, but it is an avoidable kill.

Take cover behind the boxes and hack the camera on the wall behind you, then the camera across the railroad. Look through the grated flooring to the floor below and hack the control box to open the gate. Head inside. Cutscene.

Pick up the items, especially the extra system key if you need one for the blackout that you're about to use. Head back outside. You'll automatically take cover behind the boxes.

Turn right and run. You might catch some stray bullets, but the sniper in the chopper cannot shoot you. Jordi will probably take out at least one fixer; those kills are unavoidable.

Keep running until you reach the wall with the illustration of the men with cameras for heads. Use your blackout here; it will spook the upcoming guards so that they don't shoot you when you run past them. Curve left around the jut in the wall and then curve right until you get to an open gate. Run through the gate, up the steps, and turn left to run across some plants. Turn left into the alley.

By now, the chopper should be heading your way. If you're fast enough, you can run inside the covered area to your left and then take cover behind the tall stack of shipping platforms. Now, as the chopper searches the area and backup arrives on the scene, toss a lure behind the rear of the truck parked just outside the covered area.

Wait for the fixers to enter "search" mode. Now, here comes the tricky part. Two to three fixers will patrol around the covered area. If you don't trigger the lure at the right time or in the right place, they'll spot you. What you want to do is trigger the lure as the lead guard turns parallel to the fence that partitions the covered area (that is, right before he would spot you). If everything goes well, the fixers will go around the far side of the truck to investigate the lure, then call off the search shortly after. This might take some retries, as this is a risky move.

Mission Complete. But be sure to wait for the fixers to leave the area before you head out.

Act I / Mission 8

You should have three spare skill points. Use them on the Steam Pipes skill in the Hacking tree.

Go north into the Connelly Square building (the one with many windows). The person who you need to profile is standing on the right side in the back. Hack her, and talk to her. When the call ends, wait for her to call Tucci and hack her to listen to the conversation.

Your map will show the route of Tucci and his two escorts. Go to the final stretch of road, just past the parking lot where Tucci intends to go inside. You will see a small park with two cubes in the middle and a newstand. Take cover behind one of the planters. If there is a steam pipe in the road directly in fron of you, you are in the right position.

Now you need to wait for Tucci and his escorts to drive by. Keep your cursor on the steam pipe. As soon as it flashes blue, hold the hack button. If you hack it early enough, the explosion won't kill anyone; it will just force Tucci out of his vehicle. He should get out right in front of you. Pull out a weapon, preferably an automatic rifle, enter focus mode, and shoot Tucci in the legs until you get the "Neutralized" message.

Run north to the nearby train station, run upstairs, and get into the next available train. You can use your L-Train Control skill to start and stop the trains on command. Once you get moving in the train, Tucci's men lose chase.

Mission Complete.

Act I / Mission 9

Go to the mission marker at the Palin Correctional Center. Cutscene.

Take a moment to admire your new orange uniform, then look outside your window. Watch the two guards hassle the inmate, then hack the hidden camera on the guard that stops in front of your view. When he turns, hack the camera on the guard walking in front of him. When this guard turns the corner, hack the next guard, and wait for him to turn around in his patrol route. A control room with a window should come into his view. Hack the laptop inside to hack the control console to your door.

Get behind cover right away, as guards might be patrolling nearby. You should be able to run down the corridor, then make a right down the steps and into the room where the waypoint is, but be prepared to take cover and move when the guards aren't watching.

Grab the roster on top of the desk. You need to leave the area through the gate on the opposite side of the cells, same floor. There's one guard patrolling on your level and another on the level above who can see you if you are not careful. Stick to the outside edge and move up by taking cover behind the pillars and the laundry carts when the two guards are not looking your way. While you wait, hack the upcoming gate so that you can run through when the coast is clear.

As soon as you leave the cell area, take cover behind the pillar on your left and eavesdrop on the conversation. When the guard outside the room walks away take cover right next to the door and wait for the guard inside the room to walk toward you, pause, then walk back away. When he walks away, quickly sneak inside and knock the guard out. You don't want him to get too far out so that the guard in the room across from you can see you.

Stay low and hack the guard in the room across from you. You might need to wait for him to turn around in order for you to hack the console box that unlocks the doors near where Aiden is. Also hack the server rack and complete the mini-game to hack the cameras to the outside recreation area.

Hack the camera farthest from you. Your profile target is leaning against a wall marked "CAUTION: GUARDS AUTHORIZED TO SHOOT." Watch the guards coerce him into getting "cleaned up." When you exit the camera system, hack the elevator in front of you and wait for it to come to your level. But make sure not to run across until the guard is looking away. When you get into the elevator, hack the panel to change floors.

When you get to the bottom floor, hack the control console in front of you to enter the camera system to the laundry room. Hack the camera on the far wall, then turn right slightly to hack the control box to the room. Exit the camera system and grab the shotgun in the room. Get ready for a firefight. Don't worry; taking down these corrupt cops won't hurt your Vigilante score.

Head to the laundry room. Grab the Focus pills on the table if you think you will need them. As soon as you bust through the double doors, take cover behind the laundry cart. Wait for the guards to show you their legs, then fire one or two carefully aimed shotgun blasts into their legs before going back to cover. Watch your outer flanks, and use Focus as needed.

When you get down to the last guard, sneak to him while he hides behind cover. You should be able to turn corners around the counters to stay covered yourself. When you're behind the wall or counter closest to the guard, holster your weapon, then wait for the right moment to take down the guard.

Your first enforcer appears. Run away from him and take cover behind an outside corner. Wait for him to turn the corner and head towards you. Pop Focus, land some shotgun shots into the heavy's legs, then run away and repeat. Keep your distance, as two shotgun shots on Realistic is enough to kill you, and stop shooting as soon as you take any damage. Stay behind the cover and if he gets too close, move only when he reloads. Be cautious and you will eventually neutralize him.

The fun isn't over just yet. After you neutralize the enforcer, two regular guards appear. Stay behind cover and shoot them in the legs. Once they are down, head to the waypoint and hack the control console. Cutscene.

Move forward and pick-up the bag with your gear in it. You'll end up coming out into the top floor of the building. Take the open door the right, turn the corner in the office and hack the control box on the other side of the gate to open it. Head outside to greet the police.

Quickly get into the nearby parked car and floor it. There is a ramp slightly to the right. You need to hit it at almost full speed to land on the train tracks. Drive on them. At the junction, turn left and keep driving on the tracks. You will eventually lose the police. Stay on the tracks and drive outside of their search radius.

Act Complete.

Act II / Mission 1

RECOMMENDED ITEMS: 1x Jam Com

Go to the mission marker by the river. Answer your phone. As you talk, make your way back to the road, because when you end the call you need to get into a car and drive a distance to the next waypoint. Open the gate to the community and get to the waypoint. Cutscene.

Run outside the house and back to your car. Get in and drive toward the next waypoint. The train station that you need to get to is being guarded by fixers. There's a food and liquor store just to the north of the "U" shaped road that centers into the station. Get to the back of the liquor store, past the ATM, and jump the chain link fence to get into the train tracks. After Aiden assesses the situation, run up closer to the train to hack it.

As soon as the train moves, get back onto the road, into a car, and pursue the fixers. Use a jam com when they try to call backup.

There's a steam pipe just after you pass the baseball stadium. Hack it as soon as the indicator flashes blue to get two Vehicle Take Downs rather than kills. Once you take down the two cars, you can either take cover behind parked vehicles, or run up to the top of the stadium and take cover there. Regardless, stay behind cover and shoot the fixers in the legs when the opportunity presents itself.

With all the fixers neutralized, get into a car and drive to the next waypoint at the train station. Get on board the train. Cutscenes.

Mission Complete.

Act II / Mission 2

If you do not have the maximum number of electronic parts (20), the game forces you to go to the nearby pawn shop and buy some.

When you're done with your shopping, you need to go to the Brandon Docks ctOS system (unless you have already hacked it, in which case you can skip the next four paragraphs).

When you arrive at the docks, walk right past the gate with the guard looking out (don't worry, he won't suspect you) on the west side to get to another, unattended gate that you can hack for entry. Once you get inside, stick to the outer perimeter and take cover in the center row of the hexagonal structures. Look up and hack the camera on the pole. The guard you need to hack should be on the platform with the ctOS logo. Once you hack him, turn the corner and approach the flight of stairs (the ones on the other side of the hexagon).

Make sure there aren't any guards facing you, then run up the stairs and take cover behind the metal sheet slightly to your right. You should see two guards. One will look right in your direction, then turn around to patrol the opposite end of the platform. The other guard will remain leaning againt a box, facing away from you. As soon as the first guard stops looking in your direction, run up to the stationary guard and knock him out with your club, then run to where the first guard was and quickly dispatch him as well. Take cover behind the tall storage container that the first guard walked past on his patrol.

The control console to the ctOS server room camera is in the open room at the center of the platform. If you try to hack it up close, one of the patrolling guards will see you. Instead, you'll want to use the camera on the laptop sitting in the center of the room. Unfortunately, some blue barrels are blocking the camera's view of the control box. Wait for the nearby guard to pass through his patrol on the other side of the room, then run up to the crates at full speed to knock them over. Fortunately, this does not seem to bother guards, so you can safely run back to your cover, hack the laptop, then hack the control console. Complete the hacking mini-game to get into the camera in the server room, hack the camera on the nearby laptop, then hack the ctOS server.

Face north and jump off the platform, then head west, out the way you came, past the gate and to the right in order to get out of the grey circle on the map. Aiden will locate his next target. Unfortunately, the guards in the ctOS center will attack you if they see you, so you can't get back onto the road the way you came. Instead, keep going down the path you used to get out of the area, jump into the water, then get back onto the the land via the ladder on the other side of the channel. Get in a car and drive to the mission marker to start the mission for real.

Go around the Racine building to the left and turn the corner. Walk along the northern edge until you see a lift to your right. Get on the lift and hack it to reach the rooftops. Hack the camera on the corner in front of you, then the camera next to the open garage below, then the camera inside the garage, then the camera on the brick column, then the camera on the notebook behind the glass, then the camera right above the hand symbol. The guard with the access code in hanging out in the rafters. Hack him to get the code, then exit the camera system.

Stay on the roof and turn the corner. There's a white-colored connecting roof that's slightly lower on your left. Get on the connecting roof, then use it to get onto the suspended covered cars until you are aligned with the forklift below. Wait for the guard patrolling perpendicular to your position to look away, then jump down and onto the lift. Quickly trigger the lift to get onto the building, then turn the corner and climb. Run past the corner and enter the building through the broken window on your right. Hack the control console to open the office and hack the computer inside.

Your target will appear on the camera. When he gets on the phone, hack his phone to eavesdrop. When the call ends, he gets in his car and books it.

Head out of the office. There's an enforcer waiting for you outside. Don't be tempted to blow up the junction box next to him; you can evade him by running straight for the broken window on the left and climbing out. Drop down to the muscle car that's parked on the grounds just below you. If the enforcer damaged you, wait for your health to get back up or take an alternate route to avoid dying from falling damage. Get in the car and drive forward, through the gate.

Your target is now on the move. Turn left and you should see the target driving by on the street perpendicular to you and parallel to the water. Follow your target and be prepared to hack a steam pipe as soon as the blue light flashes. Once you take the target's vehicle down, quickly get your car on the other side of the steam explosion, then get out and shoot the target in the legs. If you are quick, the backup will have just arrived and you won't need to chase the target.

To lose the backup, run down the road to the nearby train station and hop onto the next train out of there.

Mission Complete.

Act II / Mission 3

RECOMMENDED ITEMS: 1x Blackout

Get to the mission marker at your hotel room to start the mission. Cutscene.

When you resume control, quickly shoot the man holding Clara hostage in the hand in which he is holding his gun. After he drops, follow Clara outside and take cover behind her and to the right. Avoid taking cover behind the wooden planks, as your enemies can shoot those out.

Neutralizing the fixers on your level, as opposed to just killing them, is challenging but doable. Wait for them to break their cover to move up, then pop Focus and shoot them in the legs with an assault rifle.

When you clear the fixers on your level, backup arrives in the parking lot. Use a blackout, then run to the other side of the floor, turn right, run to the end, turn left, and then turn left again onto the stairs going up to the roof. When you reach the roof, take cover behind one of the vents next to the "MOTEL" sign. If you position yourself right, you'll be able to neutralize one of the fixers on the roof by surprise. Be sure to take cover as soon as you do, as his friend can kill you pretty quickly at this short of range. Wait for an opportunity to shoot the other fixer in the legs, then take their position overlooking the parking lot.

The roof is a great place to get legshots, as you can simply run around to different vantage points if the fixers below are behind cover. Keep behind cover yourself, although you shouldn't need to when you're sprinting to another vantage point. Keep an eye on the second floor stairway to make sure that any brave fixers don't get too close to Clara.

While you're fighting, three things happen: two more backup cars arrive, and three snipers take position next to the "MOTEL" sign opposite the one where the first set of snipers were. When the snipers arrive, you need to get to the area with the chairs and tables behind the sign in order to take them out from behind. Wait for them to reload or lose interest in you before you break your cover, then quickly find cover behind them. Pop out, shoot one in the legs, return to cover, rinse and repeat.

Once the snipers and any remaining fixers on the ground are dead, prepare for the final round. Clara will head up to you (if she doesn't get stuck on some geometry), then fixers will arrive from both the parking lot and the area with the chairs and tables. Keep cover and don't let the enemies flank you. You might need to restart a few times because Clara has the tedency to just stand in the open and absorb bullets (sadly, not for long). Once you neutralize them all, head to the area with the chairs and tables, then go down the wooden steps to the second floor, turn left and head down the steps to the first floor, then round the corner to the waypoint.

Don't worry about Clara in the next part. She'll get in her car and drive away. What you need to do is run down the alleyway to your left to avoid the fixers that show up, get in a car of your own, and floor it out of the grey circle on the map.

Once you lose the last, and I mean last, of the fixers, you'll call Clara.

Mission Complete.

Act II / Mission 4

Get to the mission marker at the rotating bridge. Cutscene.

Open your Profiler and connect to the camera HDD on the box to your left. Watch the surveillance footage, then follow Clara to the homeless camp. When she stops, open your Profiler and look left to see a man on the phone you can hack. Hack his phone call to trace your target. Bad news; someone else is too.

When the nearby fixer takes off in his van, run towards where he was parked and get in a vehicle to chase him onto the freeway. Wait for indicator for hacking a steam pipe appears, then hack the pipe as soon as the indicator flashes blue. Drive past the explosion, stop your car where the fixer bails out of his, and shoot him in the legs. Backup arrives rather quickly, so you need to hop back into your car and transfer to the northbound freeway. As long as you go full speed, aren't driving something ridiculously slow, and reach the outside of the grey circle on the map, you'll lose the backup.

Luckily, if you headed north on the freeway, you'll end up near the next waypoint. Make sure you have at least $200, then get to the waypoint; it's behind a house and down the stairs to a basement.

Play some poker at the table. You just need to buy in and place one bet before your target flips the table and makes run for it. Chase him on foot, with your weapon holstered. He'll give you some chase, but eventually you'll get close enough to take him down. Cutscene.

Mission Complete.

Act II / Mission 5

From now on, you can purchase craftable items from Tobias. It's, of course, much more expensive than getting the parts yourself, but that can be time consuming and you should be rolling in the dough by if you've been hacking citizens' bank accounts. Anyway, if you want to stock up, visit Tobias's shop, which is just across the street from the mission marker.

This next mission has no action or stealth sequences, so you can rest easy. Begin by hacking the rotating bridge in front of you, then cross to the other side. Keep running straight down train tracks until you see them split, then hop onto the wooden crate to your right and run to the back of the building.

Hack the lift to your left, get on it, and hack it again to get onto the fire escape. Climb the yellow ladder to get to the roof. Climb the next yellow ladder, then run past the locked gate and look through the fence, facing southwest. You'll see a camera. Hack it, then hack the camera on the wall opposite it to unlock the control box to the gate.

Exit the camera system. Enter through the gate, run back as far as you can, then hack the control console behind the first camera to explode it and a part of the nearby fence. Enter through the gate, then walk down the incline that the fence was previously blocking. Run straight through the next gate and turn the corner to activate the first generator.

As you exit the fenced-in area, get on the lift to your left and hack it to go back down to the ground. Look northeast to see a red freight car you can climb to get back to the main area. Once there, run southeast down the train track and keep going even when the wooden planks on the track disappear, until you can see a hackable stacking crane above you and to the left. Hack it to the lower it, then get in and hack it again to raise it. Exit onto the nearby crates.

Turn left and climb the crate stacked on top of the ones that you are on, then drop down. Climb the next two crates, then run around the fenced-in area all the way to the back until you see a camera next to a lift. Hack the camera to unlock the control box to the gate.

Enter the gate and exit the fenced-in area through the gate on the other side. Get on the lift and hack it to lower it. On the ground, run through the gate holding the next generator control, and use it. One more to go.

Turn around and get onto the forklift leaning against the fence. Hack the forklift to raise it, then drop down into the area below. Turn left and climb up the boxes, then drop down to the main area below. Follow the empty tracks to the right until you get to a large locked gate.

Hack the camera behind the gate, then hack the carrier to your right to reveal another camera. Hack that camera, then the camera to the left and down, hack the carrier again to reveal the control box to the gate. Hack it.

Run through the gate and jump onto the crate to your right. Jump onto the crate being held by the container crane, then hack the crane to move with the crate across the gap. Drop down and run through the inside of the open crate, then climb up and turn into the gate holding the last generator. Activate the generator.

Get back to the ground the same way you came (by hacking the container crane while on it), then run to the waypoint. Open the door on the red "BLUME" crate, then look out the window and enjoy the ride. Exit through the same door you came in, then get the next waypoint in the dark room below. When Clara asks you to help her get the system online, run up the stairs to the next waypoint and activate the power. Cutscene.

Mission Complete.

Act II / Mission 6

RECOMMENDED ITEMS: 2x Lure

To start the mission, you must first hack the Wards ctOS system (if you already have, skip the next four paragaphs).

Drive to the marker and park on the western side of the system facility. Run towards the southwest corner of the facility until you see a stove leaning against the fence. Jump over it and get onto the big blue lift in front of you. Take cover before hacking it and wait for the guard at the nearby gate to lose interest before you get off and onto the roof.

Run forward and turn right around the corner. Move forward until you can hack the camera against the brick wall across from you. Hack it, then hack the guard standing near the garage door to get the server access code. Exit the camera system.

Inch along the eastern edge of the roof and position your camera so that you can see the control box that you need to hack below. If your distance isn't too far and you can see the control box in your sights, you should be prompted to hack it. This can take some fine tuning, but once you see the hack indicator, hack the box, complete the mini game to get inside the server room, then hack the camera against the wall to hack the ctOS system.

Now, exit the way you came, remembering to take cover when you lower the lift so as not to be spotted by the guard. Once you hop the fence, run outside of the grey circle on the map. Now the real mission can begin.

Get to the mission marker. You're going to need to infiltrate the nearby enemy compound, disable three security terminals, then hack the system within. This one is a little difficult, so pay attention.

Begin by running to the northwest corner of the compound, just before the red area on the map ends. Hop the fence to get inside, then hop the fence within to get into the main grounds. To your left is a lowered forklift. Take cover behind it.

Peak around the corner. One guard is standing right next to the security terminal facing you, the other walks by as he patrols out into the center of the grounds. As he approaches your position, toss a lure behind you and trigger it. As soon as he walks past the lift, take him down.

The stationary guard should still be blissfully unaware of your presence. When he's not looking directly at you, sprint to the cement blocks ahead of you and take cover. Prepare another lure and toss it onto the wall next to the terminal. When you trigger it, the guard will face the wall. Run up to him and take him out with your stick. Hack the terminal.

Now, exit the way you came and run south down the road on the west side of the compound. Turn left into the alley just before the block ends. Run straight down the alley until you see some boxes and a rised forklift. Climb them to get inside the compound again.

Take cover behind the nearby steel pipes and wait for the sniper's laser sight to pass by your location. You need to stay behind cover when the laser passes by, otherwise they'll instantly spot you. Keep this in mind as you progress forward.

Get to the platform stacks just before the corner and wait for the nearby patrolling guard on the ground to start walking away from you. Next, turn left around the corner and take cover behind another stack of steel pipes. The other side of Aiden's body should be facing the wall. Peer out to the left and wait for the guard patrolling up and down to stop right in front of a cement block and then turn away from you. Look out for the sniper, then run around the corner to the second terminal and hack it.

Now, turn back and run west to the red brick wall, then turn left take cover behind the low stack of wooden platforms. Make your way to the nearby forklift, then wait there. There is one stationary guard facing away from you, standing next to another cement block. The snipers cannot see you, but you need to wait for a patrolling guard to walk right up to the stationary guard and take up position with him (that is, facing away from you). With the two turned away, run up to the final terminal and hack it, then run back to the low stack of wooden platforms and take cover.

Wait for the patrolling guard (the first one you saw when you entered the grounds this second time) to walk west, then run to the grass, over some blocks, and turn left into a side area. There are no guards nearby, so just run into the building with the waypoint in it and hack the system.

All you need to do now is head back outside, open the gate to your left, and head out of the yellow circle on the map. Phone call.

Mission Complete.

Act II / Mission 7

Get back to the bunker to start the next mission. After the cutscene, use the computer in front of you. You'll end up in the camera system to an enemy structure.

Begin by hacking the only camera in front of you, then hack the control box below the counter and complete the mini-game to get into the restricted area of the structure. Hack the outer elevator door, then the camera inside the elevator in order to ride the elevator up. Hack the camera outside the next floor, then look up and wait for a guard with a hidden camera to patrol by. Hack him and wait for him to turn a corner, then hack the control panel against the left wall and complete the mini-game. You'll end up inside the camera in a video arcade.

Hack the camera on the other side of the room, then the camera on the laptop next to the talking gang members. Look up and hack the camera through the hole in the next floor. Pay no attention to the people copulating and hack the laptop on the table below, then the camera in the cooridor that the laptop is facing. Now, hack the camera on the other side of the cooridor (the furthest camera), then hack the control box against the wall.

You'll be in a camera inside a shaft with a fan. Look into the room beyond and hack the only camera that you can see. Turn right all the way and hack the camera on the other side of the wall, through the big hole. A paranoid guy will talk to camera, you can ignore him. Look left to hack another camera, then look down and hack the hidden camera on the guard patrolling the dark hallway. He'll walk for a bit down the hallway until he reaches a room with a laptop sitting on a table at the end. Hack that laptop, then the camera through the hole in the wall (you might need to wait for the patrolling guard to move out of the way.)

Look left and hack the last camera, then watch the unpleasant (and unskippable) cutscene through the camera. Clara and Aiden discuss the recent events.

Act II / Mission 8

This mission starts at Bedbug's home. Hack the building security router next to the brick wall with a painting of a man on it. Complete the hacking mini-game to watch Bedbug having a conversation with his grandmother. Hack him to track him, then let the conversation finish.

You now need to tail Bedbug. Wait for him to get into his car and turn the corner, then get to the car that was parked behind and follow from a safe distance behind. There's no rush, as the driver goes at a leisurely pace, obeying the traffic laws. The red alert indicator will fill up if you're getting too close.

Bedbug's driver will drive into a restricted area (the red box on your map). Wait a little behind the stop sign for the driver to pass through, then turn left and take the road that curves around the restricted area, keeping the parallel to the driver. When he gets to the other side, turn right and resume following him from a safe distance.

The driver turns right into another restricted area. This time, Bedbug gets out. Take cover behind the white picket fence and wait for Bedbug to move up before moving up yourself. Take cover next to the stove and look to the left for a camera on the wall. From now on, you'll need to use the cameras to follow Bedbug. There are plenty, so just hack the one in front of you as he progresses through the area.

Bedbug will head into a gated area, close the gate, then talk to a man named Rabbit. When things go sour, hack the nearby pipe to help Rabbit hide.

Turn the camera to the left to see Rabbit hiding behind some crates. Hack his phone to talk to him. You now need to guide him to an escape.

Begin by hacking the camera on the pole to the left and up from Rabbit's position. Target the smaller of the two crates next to the guard, wait for the guard patrolling the sidewalk that Rabbit's on to turn away from Rabbit, then issue Rabbit the order to move. Don't worry; the guard won't spot him.

Hack the camera on the other side of the truck next to Rabbit. Target the refrigerator on the side of the road and order Rabbit to move there when the guard next to him is looking towards the camera (i.e. away from where Rabbit will run). Next, target wall next to the red shack on the other side of the road and wait for the guard overlooking the street to turn away, then order Rabbit to move there.

Hack the camera behind the tree above Rabbit's current position, then the camera on the white shack across the yard. Target one of the wooden platform stacks, then wait for the guard patrolling in Rabbit's area to look away before giving the order to move.

There's just one more guard in between Rabbit and freedom. Use the crates as cover to slip past his patrol. Once you get a little further up, Rabbit takes control and runs to the waypoint.

As soon as Rabbit talks, resume control of Aiden and take cover behind the van you now find yourself in front of. The guards are on alert so you'll need to bolt for the fence behind you (moving diagonally to the right in order to avoid their view) and then hop some more fences to get out of the restricted area. Now just run out of the grey circle on the map.

Mission Complete.

Act II / Mission 9

RECOMMENDED ITEMS: 4x Jam Com

Get to the waypoint next to the ice cream truck. Cutscene. Equip an IED, toss it on the truck, and detonate it. You won't be using these again for a while, so enjoy the explosion.

Now, head to the Sienna Brick Company just across the street. Hack the gate and turn left into a side room with the security computer. Use the computer and watch the footage.

Booby traps do sound fun, but we're going non-lethal, so use these next minute to leisurely make your way to the overhead crane on the other side of the area. Get inside the crane and take cover. Equip a weapon and some jam coms.

When the time is up, two enemy vehicles will come in from opposite sides of the area. Wait for the enemies to get out of the car on your side, then pop focus and try to blast them all (except for the enforcer) in the legs.

Now, hack the crate you're standing on to start moving down the area. If you pop focus at the right time, you can easily pick off all of the regular fixers as you're moving down. You probably won't get them all in your first pass, so just keep going up and down the area in the crate. Make sure to use your jam coms whenever someone calls for reinforcements. However, eventually someone will place an unblockable call for reinforcements and you'll have to repeat the process.

Eventually, you'll be left with only two enforcers. Stay in the crate and keep moving up and down the area, shooting them in the legs when they lose sight of you. They are quite bullet sponges, but eventually you'll neutralize them. If you have happen to have the Enforcer Takedown ability ahead of schedule, you can lure them one at a time into the side room, then take them out there.

With all the enemies taken care of, head to the center of the area and hack the phone on the ground. Phone call.

One lone guard is outside. He gets into his car and books it. Run outside to where he was and get into the van (not the bike) and chase after him. If you're quick, you'll be approaching a steam pipe as soon as you catch up to him. Hack the pipe to get him out of the vehicle, then get out, take cover behind your van, and shoot him in the legs to neutralize him.

Drive to the waypoint to find Bedbug. As you approach, keep your distance and wait for him to get out of his car. As he walks down the promenade, exit your vehicle and trail him from a safe distance, just as before. When he gets to the fountain, give him a call. Cross the street while you're talking to him to avoid getting spotted. When his guards leave him, close in and hack the sign to show Bedbug a message. Cutscene.

Mission Complete.

Act II / Mission 10

Get to the marker. When the mission starts, stand still and watch the transaction at the news stand. When the courier performs the first briefcase swap, walk down the steps (behind the newstand) then move forward up the next set of stairs and continue to follow the next courier. Stop next to the last table with a red umbrella and watch the courier pass the briefcase off to the last man, who drops it into a boat.

Run east, parallel to the speeding boat, until you reach a bike. Hop on it and keep moving east to catch up to the boat. Be careful on the jumps and look out for any civilians who might be in the way. When the boat turns into the docks, take the sidewalk closest to the water and continue to follow the boat.

Eventually, the boat pulls into a garage connected to a compound off the docks. You need to infiltrate the compound and get to the case. Begin by jumping in the water and swimming towards the garage door. Open the door and get inside back on dry land. Head out the the eastern exit and up the short set of stairs. There are three guards on this side. One at the end of the docks who won't bother you, one who stays mostly stationary but occaisionally turns around, and another who patrols the area. You'll want to take out the one patrolling by cover behind the large wall just before the brief case and using a lure to get him to come around the corner. Then, wait for the mostly stationary guard to look away and get to the case.

There's another guard whose patrol route reaches the case area; make sure he's turned away from you before you go out into the open. Take your pictures and then leave the compound the way you came.

Mission Complete.

Act II / Mission 11

RECOMMENDED ITEMS: 2x Lure, 1x Blackout

You'll need to hack the Mad Mile ctOS system before starting this mission (if you already have, skip the next four paragaphs).

On the north side of the boardwalk holding the CTOS center, next to a pizzeria, there's a switch console connected to a gate into the restricted area. Hack the console and enter the restricted area. Take cover behind the first planter on the right that you see, then look slightly left and wait for the guard with the server access code to walk into your view. Hack him to get the code.

Switch to cover behind a planter overlooking the courtyard. In addition to the guard who you just hacked, there's a guard patrolling up the steps in front of you. He'll look right in your direction, so wait for him to turn, and for the guard you hacked to pass you, before running west and taking cover behind another planter just behind and to the left of the guard standing watch over the entrance inside.

Toss a lure at the base of the planter that the guard is facing. You'll need to wait for three guards to be turned away from you: 1) the guard you hacked, 2) the guard patrolling up the steps in front of you, and 3) the guard patrolling up the steps to your right. Timing is important; make sure the second of the three guards is far away enough not to hear the lure. If you do things properly, only the guard standing watch will notice when you set the lure off. As he walks forward, quickly run behind him and turn the corner into the room holding the ctOS security router. Take cover behind a pillar and hack the router from a few meters away. Complete the hacking mini-game to get into the server room, hack the camera in the center of the room, then hack the system.

To exit the area, take cover behind the pillar opposite the router, then toss another lure at the base of the planter, just as before. Wait for the other guards to be far enough away, then trigger the lure. Run behind the guard, again. Instead of exiting through the gate that you hacked, you can leave through the large gate right in front of you. Just make sure to take out the guard standing watch before. Leave the grey circle on the map and drive to the mission marker to the start the mission proper.

Run to the control console at the first waypoint and hack it. You'll have to be quick at the mini-game; if you find yourself running out of time, just exit the system and hack it again. When you're inside the camera system, watch the cutscene, then exit the system.

Run to the southeast corner of the dealership, next to the door. Trigger a blackout, then run through the door and turn left into the office where your target is. Take him down, then hack the phone on his unconscious body. Run out the way you came in and keep running east until you get to the road. Get in a vehicle, then drive south to the next waypoint,a gentlemen's club.

Walk down the steps to the entrace of the club. Cutscene. Follow the host through the club to the next waypoint and another cutscene. Leave the club the way you came in and go up the steps and into Crispin's car.

Mission Complete.

Act II / Mission 12

RECOMMENDED ITEMS: 2x Blackout

Get to the marker. Follow the guide and walk down the hallway into the main auction area. Follow the guide again and then head up the steps to the catwalk where Mr. Quinn is standing. Cutscene. During the cutscene, you'll bump into Mr. Iraq and have to hack his dog tags in a very easy quick-time-event. Finish the cutscene.

When you regain control of Aiden, run down the catwalk to the waypoint at the entrance of the lighted room, then down the steps and around to the next waypoint. Be careful not to be spotted, or it's an automatic mission failure.

You'll drop down into the sewers. There's a guard patrolling up ahead. Wait for him to pass and then run up behind him and take him out. Between you and the next waypoint, there's an anxious guard pacing back and forth. Wait for him to come your way and then turn around. Hit him with your stick and then climb the ladder next to the waypoint.

Up above, take cover behind the steel sheet up against the gate. Wait for the patrolling guard to walk through the gate, then ambush him with your stick. Take cover again and wait for his friend to investigate, then ambush his friend. Now, run along the edge of the warehouse until you see a small boat on top of some crates, to your left. Take cover and look to other side for an open door. Wait for the nearby guard to walk away, then bolt for the door and head up the stairs.

Pick up the bag with your equipment and equip a blackout. Hack the camera on the other side of the locked gate to reach the control box and unlock the gate.

Get to the next waypoint. A short cutscene will play, and you'll end up on the ground with a bunch of enemies shooting at you. You'll take cover behind some wooden planks but you'll need to act fast.

Hack the control box in front of you to cause an explosion, killing the enemy directly in front of it and knocking out the others. As soon as you finish the hack, leave cover behind the wooden planks and move to the cinderblocks directly to your right. The enemies cannot shoot through it, so you'll be safe for the time being.

There should be a guard on the catwalk above. Shoot him in the legs, then look to your right for the control box to the upcoming gate. Hack the box, then run through the gate to the next waypoint. Right before you get to the waypoint, trigger a blackout, hit the waypoint, then sprint to the next waypoint, making sure not to bump into any of the confused guards. Hop over the platform and down into a new area.

Some heavies and regular enemies will come out of a garage to patrol this area. Just pop another blackout and sprint towards the next waypoint. You can open the first garage door in your way during the blackout, but for the second door, you'll need to take cover behind the boxes next to it and wait for the blackout to end before you can hack it. Don't just run out; wait for the enforcer on the other side to turn away from you, then hop onto the nearby bike and gun it out of the grey area on your map.

After Aiden places a phone call, Mission Complete.

Act II / Mission 13

RECOMMENDED ITEMS: 2x Lure

Buy the Enforcer Combat Takedown skill from the Combat tree.

Once Aiden tracks his nephew's location, get over there to the marker to start the mission.

Run up the sidewalk and turn right into the parking lot. Run behind the trees and take cover against the Racine van. Wait for the guard to walk by and sneak up on him and hit him with your stick. Then turn around and sneak up to the guard standing next to the car and take him down as well.

Carefully, go up the stairs on the right and wait for the guard patrolling on the second floor to walk away from you. Sneak up to him and take him down. Run all the way around the second floor, past the stairs leading to the third floor, and creep to the other end where another guard is patrolling. As always, take him down stealthily.

Get back down to the first level, either from the stairs in the middle of the structure, or from the way you came. Take cover behind one of the planters under the open part of the structure and watch the guard patrolling in the area with the flag pole in front of you. Toss a lure on the planter behind you, then wait for him to pass close to you and trigger the planter. Ambush him as he walks past you.

Make sure the coast is clear, then head out into the area where the guard was patrolling and take cover behind the planter to your right, so that you're facing a junction box you can hack to explode. Toss a lure on the wall (not too close to the box in case you accidentally trigger it instead of the lure), and wait for a guard to turn the corner before triggering it. As he inspects it, take him down.

Take cover behind the last pillar leading into the eastern section of the area, facing that area. There's a guard patrolling in a rectangular shape. He'll notice his unconscious friend and walk over to investigate. As he passes through, take him down.

There's just one more guard in the eastern section, and he's stationary, looking away from you. Sneak up to him and take him down.

Turn around and run to the western section of the area. There are two stationary guards here. One leaning against a planter facing south, the other facing west. Hack the alarm on the car that the second guard is facing. Both guards will turn towards the car to investigate. Approach the first guard from behind, take him down, then run up to and take down the second and last guard.

When backup arrives, don't be tempted to kill them using the steam pipe. Instead, run upstairs and hide until the backup spreads out enough for you to safely take out guards in small groups. If possible, use a silenced weapon to shoot them in the legs, or simply sneak up to them. If you have to reveal yourself, be quick about it and watch out for the enforcer. Try to take out all the other fixers before him, then lure him upstairs and use your new Enforcer Combat Takedown ability to get him as he turns a blind corner.

With all enemies down, head up to the third floor,hack the control console, and go inside. Cutscene.

Mission Complete.

Act II / Mission 14

RECOMMENDED ITEMS: 1x Lure

Get to the bar and start the mission. After dropping a wire in the trash, head to the next waypoint a few blocks away. As you approach, the area should look familiar; it's the same place where you had to disable the three security terminals. Now you'll need to head into the final area where you hacked the security system; it's restricted and guarded by stationary enemies. Run into the area from the west side, then quickly take cover behind the stack of wood before you're spotted.

Look to your left and hack the control box to unlock the door. Then toss a lure onto the stack of steel pipes behind the guard who is facing the next waypoint. He'll turn around and investigate. Sprint to the waypoint; if you're fast enough you'll avoid being detected by the other guards.

Once you get to the waypoint, you'll call Bedbug and watch him through the building's camera system. Just like with Rabbit, you'll need to direct him where to go and keep him concealed. Begin by hacking the camera at the end of the hallway. Wait for the guard to walk down the hallway perpendicular to this one, then command Bedbug to take cover behind the boxes just before the doorway.

Hack the nearby laptop, then hack the camera on the other side of the doorway. Order Bedbug to take up position behind the partially destroyed wall. Hack the camera in front of you, then rotate the camera right and hack the camera on the windows.

This next manuever will take some timing. Wait for the guard nearest Bedbug to do his patrol up towards the doorway, and then turn around. Then, rotate the camera left and hack the smart phone on the table next to the stationary guard at the end of the room. Next, order Bedbug to run through the room to the ceramic tile corner in the next room. He'll slip past both guards.

Hack the camera in the room to which Bedbug is. Rotate right and target the cardboard box next to the control box. Order Bedbug to move once the guard at the end of the hallway walks away. Wait for the guard to come back and leave again, then order Bedbug to move right up against the wall beneath the glass. Bedbug will stay crouched so the guard won't spot him even if he's just a few meters away.

Hack the camera that Bedbug passes, then hack the camera in the room with the guard. Look down and to your right to see a laptop. Hack it, then hack the camera in the next (dark) room. Hack the phone on the table next to the guard. When he turns around to investigate it, order Bedbug to move into the hallway in the next room (the coast is clear, don't worry).

Hack the camera over Bedbug's shoulders, then hack the switch console. Hack Bedbug's camera. As he moves through the room, hack the console that he comes up against to unlock the door. When he gets to the server room, hack the server and complete the hacking mini-game. Once you get into the server camera system, hack the switch console to your left. Cutscene.

When you regain control of Aiden, run through the double doors outside, then turn right and run through urban ruins, to the northwest corner. Hop the fence and run north onto the street to a parked car you can hijack. You might need to take cover against the concrete divider holding up the fence until the roads are clear. As soon as you can get a vehicle, drive the hell out of the vicinity, making sure to turn down sidestreets if it looks like a patrol car is about to intercept you. Drive away from the area to escape your pursuers.

Mission Complete.

Act II / Mission 15

RECOMMENDED ITEMS: 1x Lure, 3x Jam Com

Get to the bunker to start the mission. Cutscene. Leave the bunker and head to the next waypoint. You'll reach a restricted area. Approach it from the low fence on the west side. Wait behind the fence for a guard to walk outside from the doorway to the right, then hop the fence, rush to the guard and take him down. Head inside from where he came.

Take cover behind the piece of wood leaned up against the shelving. When the coast is clear, move to the stack of steel pipes. There's a guard who moves up and down the stairs to your left. There will be an opportunity when he's heading back up and the other guards are looking away. Take that opportunity and take the guard down on the second floor. When you're clear, run back downstairs and head out the way you came in.

Once outside, move north and take cover at the corner of the building. There's a single guard on the other side. Wait for your opportunity, then run up to him and take him down. Keep moving east and take cover behind the against the wall with the ivy, just before the next corner of the building. Wait for the guard patrolling up ahead to reach you and turn around. Run after him and take him down.

Two guards left, and they're both in the building. Take cover against the same wall with ivy and toss a lure on the other side of the doorway. Wait for the guard who patrols this end of the room to walk by, then trigger the lure. Take him down when he investigates.

The final guard you can take down by going back through the first doorway you used (near the guard who patrols the stairs). Keep behind cover and get closer to him when he looks away. When you're close enough, run up to him and take him down.

Use the computer that the guard was guarding. You'll start the hacking process, but reinforcements will arive. You need to stay close to the computer, so take cover behind either of the two pillars flanking the computer and switch to the other one when an enemy tosses a grenade your way. Shoot legs when you can. When the hack completes, you'll need to neutralize anyone who remains. Keep behind cover and wait for the enemies to break cover so that you can shoot them in the legs. If you feel overwhelmed or they aren't budging, run upstairs for a better vantage point.

With all the enemies down, go back to the computer and wipe the hard drive. A fixer gets the information anyway, and takes off in a fire truck. Run outside through the first doorway you took (to the left), then keep going forward until you get to a car. Get in and chase the firetruck onto the freeway.

The police will attempt to scan you while you're on the freeway. Either speed out of the scan radius, or pop a jam com to stall the scanning. You might need up to three jam coms. Once the firetruck exits the freeway, the police lose you. Continue to chase the firetruck as it gets back on the freeway. You'll come up to a steam pipe that you can hack, but for some reason it doesn't take the truck down, so hack the traffic light that follows to get the fixers out of their vehicle.

Park your vehicle in the road, take cover behind it, and shoot the fixers in the legs.

Act Complete.

Act III / Mission 1

Get to the Pawnee ctOS control center. Approach by swimming from the west. When you get onto the dock, run to the small tree on the right side of the main trail and hack the camera through it. The guard with the access code patrols all over this area. When you see him, hack him to get the code, then exit the camera system.

Run back into the water and swim around the island clockwise (facing north) towards the ctOS system access point. Swim under the large downed tree being help up by the rocks, down a ways, then turn right towards a smooth rock face that you can climb on. Climb on to the rocks, but inch up and stay concealed. Make sure that there isn't a guard on your left looking in your direction. When the coast is clear, hope the fence and then turn right into the gated area holding the access point. Take cover behind the fence with the wood plank propped up against it, then hack the server from a few meters away.

Complete the mini-game to get into the camera in the server room. Hack the camera on the opposite end of the room, then hack the server.

Jump off the rocks and swim out of the grey area on the map. Keep swimming towards the mission marker, then get on land and run to it to start the mission proper.

Run south over the picket fence. Look into the window of the small room and hack the computer inside. You now need to hack a nearby marina employee to get the reset password. Begin by heading down the right side of the docks and hacking the employee hanging out below. No match. Head to the gazebo in the center and hack the next employee. Match. Go back to the computer and hack it with the proper password this time.

Get to the waypoint at the ctOS center in the northwest corner of the map. Stop at the locked gate and look through the chain-linked fence for a camera. Hack it, then hack the camera on the satellite dish to your right. Hack the control console below, then exit the camera system and head inside the area.

Head downstairs into the basement. Hack the camera beyond the locked chain-link gate, then hack the security router in the same room. You'll end up in a camera on the other side of the vent. Hack the control console to your left and exit the camera system and the basement.

Once outside, run northwest to the last dish, then climb the steps and hack the satellite antenna in the center of the area so that the dish rotates and you can get on it. Hack the camera on the tower to your right, then the camera on the dish furthest to your right. Hack the control console below to open another gate.

Hack the antenna again and walk down the steps into the grassy area with the now unlocked gate. Climb up the ladder and move forward onto the next dish. Hack the antenna again to rotate the dish you're on. Once rotated, cross over the bridge formed by the two connecting dishes, then hack the antenna one more time.

Below you is a blue lift. Hack it, get on it, then hack it again to lower it and get to the ground. Go down the stairs to the basement and through the gate that you unlocked earlier. Look left to see a box that you can hack to explode. Hack it, then run back through the open gate to avoid taking damage from the explosions. When all is clear, head through the area with the exploded gate, hack the switch console, then run up the rocks back outside.

Go down into the basement the first way you came. This time, the gate will be open. Walk through and hack the ctOS tower. Listen to the message.

Leave the ctOS center and head to the next waypoint. Head inside the bar. Cutscene. Drinking mini-game. More cutscenes.

After all the excitment, you'll end up at T-Bone's hideout. Follow him through his tour. Hack one of his traps when he asks you to. When the tour ends, run up the hill to the north and hop on the bike. Drive to the next waypoint, which is a restricted area holding T-Bone's van. Approach from the east side and look for the yellow ladder on the garage, just around the corner from the garage door. Climb the ladder and make sure the sniper up above is looking away, then get onto the roof and run up to the sniper and take him out.

Vault over the roof to the lower slanted roof, then wait for the guard patrolling below to face the desk with a paint can and a tire on it. Drop down and take him down, then take cover against the desk. Wait for the guard up ahead, the sniper above him, and the guard on the your right all to look away, then get into the van and floor it. The game forces a chase on your hands, so turn south onto the road and head to the waypoint as soon as it appears.

You'll have to avoid some roadblocks and belligerent pursuers, but the van can take a beating. Once you drop it off at the waypoint, ditch the van, run off the cliff into the water and hang out in the tall grassy swampy area until your pursuers give up looking for you.

Mission Complete.

Act III / Mission 2

RECOMMENDED ITEMS: 2x Lure

Get to the mission marker. When the helicopter flies overhead, get on the bike and follow it along the dirt road, then onto the main road. You'll need to turn right eventually, then cross a bridge. The chopper will end up over a camp. Hack it from the road and put the cursor over the lone man standing in the partially fenced off area at the top of the campsite and over the man standing guard between two mobile homes in front of an emptied out swimming pool.

Jump the fence at the northeast corner, then left onto the trail and hike upwards to the picnic area. Turn right and run down the trail. You might need to take cover behind something if the chopper is nearby. Just as the trail declines, get onto the rocks and hug the shrubs behind the mobile home that's to the left of your first target. Cross over to the other side, behind some more shrubs. Toss one lure on the steps of the mobile home to your right, then another lure on the ground a few meters in front of you (behind the shrubs). Trigger the first lure to get your target to the door, the trigger the second lure to get him to investigate behind the shrubs. When he's behind the shrubs, run up behind him and take him down. Hack his phone.

Now, run back and around to the southeast corner of the area, keeping a look out for the patrolling guard. Take cover behind the shed that the guard leans up against. Make sure the chopper and the sniper on the nearby rooftop aren't looking your way. As long as the guard leaning against the shed is facing forward (i.e. not to the side), you can safely run up to the electronic sign then cut across the trail to a dumpster on outside the corner of the white picket fence. Take cover there and wait for the chopper to go away and for the two enforcers to start patrolling down their paths (away from you). When the coast is clear, run into the partially fenced area and sneak up to the second target. Take him down and hack his phone.

Take cover behind the car and wait for the enforcer on your right to get back to the area. He'll notice the unconscious body of the second target. Stay hidden behind the front of the car and ambush the enforcer as soon as he gets near enough. This conveniently opens up your path to escape. Run back out the way you came, again, making sure that the sniper and the chopper aren't looking in your direction and that the guard leaning against the shed is facing forward. Once you get behind the shed, just keep running along the outside boundary of the restricted area and eventually you'll exit it. Then, exit the grey area on the map.

Act III / Mission 3

RECOMMENDED ITEMS: 3x Jam Com

When the mission starts, get into a car and drive onto the convoy's path, move ahead of them on the winding road until you see a trailer with a parked car next to a hiking sign on the left, and a parked motorcycle next to some steps to the right. Get out of your car (make sure not to block the road) and wait at the top of the steps for the convoy to pass. Look to the right and hack the steam pipe as soon as you are prompted to get the enforcer out of the armored vehicle. Then run down the steps and take cover behind either of the two small houses on the docks. Use a jam com if they try to call reinforcements.

Wait in ambush for enemies to come by and take them out as soon as they turn the corner. Eventually, the enforcer will come and you can take him out the same way. Then, just run west along the docks to evade the remaining fixers. Again, use a jam com if they try calling for help.

Mission Complete.

Act III / Mission 4

RECOMMENDED ITEMS: 1x Lure, 3x Jam Com

You should have a plethora of skill points accrued. Use some on Bullet Resistance in the Combat tree for extra survivability. You might also want to use some on Disrupt Enemy Comms/Disrupt Reinforcement Calls in the Hacking tree, as you'll find yourself eating through jam coms to prevent reinforcements during the fight. Make sure you keep some spare jam coms, though, as you cannot always hack enemies when they call for reinforcements.

Get to the mission marker, then head up the hill to the Blume HQ compound.

Get to the west side of the compound and take cover behind the locked door. Hack the camera on the other side of the window, then hack the nearby guard's camera and wait for him to turn to the control console. Hack the console to unlock the door. Exit the camera system.

Wait for the guard whose camera you hacked to walk up to the planter, then walk away. Run through the door and up to the guard and take him out while he's under the ceiling (i.e. in the room with the control console).

Sneak over to the large "BLUME" plaque/fountain and toss a lure on the wall. When the guard up ahead gets near, trigger the lure, then take him out as he rounds the corner. Wait for the other guard to notice and run around the fountain to get him from behind as he investigates the body.

Now, use the computer outside in the center of the compound, then run left and creep up the stairs. There are two guards facing opposite directions. If you straight up to the closer guard, whose facing away from you, the guard that's further away won't be able to see you. Take down the closer guard, then sneak up to the other guard and take him down. Go into the office and hack the control console.

Go down the stairs and head to thecafeteria where the waypoint is. Run north through the cafeteria and take cover at the corner leading outside. Wait for a guard to lean up against the wall next to you, then take him out. Next, go around from the inside to the opposite corner, make sure the guard patrolling to the south isn't looking, and take out the stationary guard there. Then run into the fenced in area to in front of you and to your right, and hack the control console there.

Get back to the waypoint and hack the security router. Complete the hacking mini-game to get into the camera in the server room. Hack the server. Once the server hack completes, hack the camera on the patrolling guard who appears. He'll walk through a door up to a window where a meeting is taking place. Hack the camera on the other side of the window and listen in on the meeting.

The compound will go on alert. Run outside and take cover behind the planters to stay hidden from the guards. Keep right and exit the way you came, through the onced locked door.

Get onto the road to the next waypoint. Hop on a bike and drive to Kenny's hideout on the other side of Pawnee. Take the northernmost entrance, through the "FUCK OFF" sign. Get off your bike and enter the restricted area. Take cover behind one of the cars. The guard up ahead facing east is your first target. Wait for the others to spread out away from him, then run up to him, take him down, then take cover against the sheet of metal he was standing against.

Look to your right for a patrolling fixer. Wait for him to move away from the stairs, then get out of cover and run up the stairs. Take cover behind a metal sheet before ascending the next set of stairs; there's a sniper up ahead and a guard who patrols this area. Wait for the patrolling guard to walk by, then take out the sniper when he's looking away.

Take cover behind the tires and wait a minute or so for the patrolling guard to return. For some reason, he didn't notice the downed sniper when he walked by again. At any rate, take him down as he passes through.

There's a guard patrolling on the center area who will probably notice the guard you just took down. If he doesn't notice the body, very briefly pop out from behind cover so that you get his attention. Wait for him to come up the steps, them ambush him.

Three guards should remain. Wait for two of them to cluster in the eastern part of the area, then drop down and take out the one guard remaining in the western part. Next head to the road to the north and wait for one of the guards to patrol towards you. He should stop to investigate one of Kenny's traps. With his back turned to you, run up to him and take him out. Take the last guard out by staying behind cover and waiting for an opportunity to get behind him. Regroup with Kenny.

NOTE  From now on, some enemies will have armor on their legs, taking more hits to neutralize them by shooting them in the legs.

Take cover against the junk with Kenny, pull out a gun, wait three enemies to come, then shoot them in the legs when they leave cover. You might need to flank them if they aren't budging.

Move up to the raised platform in the center of the area, but don't follow Kenny up there. Instead, hack the two barriers to raise them, then head north along the path to an abandoned school bus. Take cover inside the school bus and wait for the enemy vehicles to pull in. An enforcer will get out on your side and begin shooting you. Just stay behind cover and wait until the enforcer shifts his attention to T-Bone. Then, run out and take down the enforcer.

With the enforcer down, head up the ramp next to the school bus and take cover in the area above. Shoot the enemies in the arms and legs. You might need to change positions eventually if they aren't budging from cover. Have your jam coms ready for when they call reinforcements, or hack them as they call for them (if you bought the skill to do so).

When the enemies are all neutralized, regroup with Kenny at the southwest corner of the area. Take cover behind one of the metal sheets and shoot the next wave of enemies in the legs. When they're down, follow Kenny through the gate, down the steps.

Take cover. There's a sniper at the end of the area, on top of a platform, and several enemies on the ground. Neutralize the enemies on the ground, then sprint to the sniper's platform, climb it, and take down the sniper.

Cutscene. Follow T-Bone do his boat and get in the driver's seat. Drive the boat through the river out into Chicago. Cutscene.

Mission Complete.

Act III / Mission 5

RECOMMENDED ITEMS: 1x Blackout

Stand at the western entrance of Iraq's compound, trigger a blackout, then run all the way to the other end, towards the waypoint. Take cover behind one of the nearby cement blocks, then trigger another blockout when the game prompts you to. Run through the door.

Run through the next door and take cover against the tile to the left. Quickly shoot the legs of the two enemies up top; try not to pop Focus just yet.

Three enemies will come out of the elevator. Pop a focus now and blast one of them in the legs with a shotgun. With two enemies remaining, leave cover out sparingly and wittle down on their legs. You might need to change cover.

With all enemies in the area neutralized, head into the elevator and ride it upwards. As soon as you get to the next floor, take cover against the tile to the left and wait for one of the armored enemies to run past you. Take him out as they round the corner. Two enemies remain. Keep behind cover, move around, and take them out from around the corner if they try to rush you (if the other one isn't shooting at you).

With the floor cleared, run up the ramp and immediately take cover. Move to the left and take care of the two enemies on this floor, either by neutralizing them or taking them down. Move down and turn left into a hallway, then turn left into the doorway and get to the waypoint.

Move forward and hack the control console to unlock the door. Walk through the door. Take cover next to the either side of the opening in the wall, and neutralize the enemies in the arcade area beyond. You will need to hide and wait for enforcer to come to you for a take down. That same strategy will also work for the other enemies, but be wary of their backup.

With the arcade area cleared, run through the area, around the corner, and climb the ladder to get to the next waypoint. Head through the doorway on the left into a hallway. Get the enemies in this area to notice you, then run back into the previous room and take cover behind corner of the broken down piece of wall (the part that's a little taller than the rest). Lure the enemies inside and take them down one by one as they round the corner. The only reason I suggest this is because the enemies will flank you if you try to take them on in the room ahead, and there's an Enforcer among them.

With this floor cleared, go to the next waypoint through the hallway. Navigate to the south end of the room to find a ladder. Climb it, then climb the ladder after it.

As soon as you get off the ladder, take cover behind the destroyed wall, then move along the cover to the right and run through the doorway, avoiding the enemies in the area, temporarily. Run down the hallway and take cover behind something, a box or a desk. Enemies will start searching down this hallway. Ambush them from behind cover and lie in wait for those takedowns. Continue to lure the enemies down here until the floor is clear. For the last couple guards, you might need to move into the main room and take them out from there.

Get to the waypoint, then run forward to the next waypoint, unlocking the door along the way. Unlock two more doors to get into Iraq's server room. Go forward and turn left into the door housing the servers you need to hack. Hack the servers. When the hacking completes, run out of the room and to the next waypoint. Cutscene.

Buy the Blast Resistance skill from the Combat tree for this next fight. It's a real challenge, especially when going non-lethal.

Run through the broken out wall to the outside. Drop down to the waypoint, grab the IEDs in the area, then run northeast and take cover behind the stack of red, white, and blue sacks, facing south. Let Iraq finish monologue. As soon as he says "Kill that motherfucker," get ready.

You'll be up against three armored enemies. You don't have a lot of room to maneuver, and they will try to flank you. Shoot their arms and legs when they pop cover, and stay behind cover yourself. As long as you're behind cover and have the Blast Resistance skill, the grenades shouldn't hurt you, so don't be intimidated.

Iraq's Monologue, Part 2. Take cover behind the same sacks in the corner as before. When the monologue ends, an enforcer comes out. Lure him to the explosive panel, turning the corner around the sacks until he's on top of the panel (don't break cover). Hack the panel to explode it and damage the enforcer. Now, you can toss IEDs onto a neighboring corners of the sack by leaning and target that corner before you throw them. Do this and lure the elite into two IED explosions (hack the IEDs to explode them). Make sure to place the second IED on the side facing west (i.e. out towards the open space).

After hitting the enforcer with the second IED blast, Iraq will show up and try to double-team you. With any luck, the enforcer will still be down from the blast, giving you time to shotgun Iraq in the legs, neutralizing him. If the enforcer gets up while Iraq is still up, don't panic and whatever you do do not break cover. Keep turning the corner and try to isolate Iraq from the enforcer so that when you blow your cover to shoot him the enforcer doesn't get you.

With Iraq down, you just need to to stay behind cover, peak out very quickly, shot the enforcer in the legs, then rinse and repeat until he's dead. Be conservative; you don't want to blow this fight now on a reckless decision to move.

With that challenging fight over, wait for the game to teleport you outside the building.

Act IV / Mission 1

Head to the bunker to start the mission. Cutscene.

You'll face a series of hacking mini-games, with the hacker on the other end distracting you. He's mostly harmless, but at the end he will trigger some alerts so you need to finish quickly. After you get inside his computer, you'll have a couple more cutscenes to watch.

Mission Complete.

Act IV / Mission 2

RECOMMENDED ITEMS: 5x Jam Com, 

You'll start the mission with the entire city on alert. Start running south the blue road on the map, hop on a bike, and avoid getting too close to pedestrians (use a jam com if they call the police). Soon, a waypoint will appear. Drive to it and chase the van. Depending on the van's random placement, you'll either be able to take it out with a steam pipe, or you'll have to chase it for a bit. If you end up having to chase it, have your jam coms ready, because the police will start scanning the area.

Whenever you manage to take down the van, quickly get off your bike and shoot the driver in the legs when he emerges. Then, run or drive to the nearest train station, and keep hacking the police scans if you still have jam coms left.

Right before you're about to board the train, purposefully get caught on the scanners, then ride the train to evade the police. You'll either ride the alert out, or ride out of their patrol area.

Mission Complete.

Act IV / Mission 3

Get to the coffee shop to start the mission. Head north into the tunnel and hack the router to the right. Hacking mini-game. Watch T-Bone on the other end.

When the feed to the camera system ends, run up the steps and hack the camera when you see it. Then, hack the camera all the way across and look down to find T-Bone. Order him to take cover behind the blocky structure to his left, making sure to wait for the nearby guard to look the other way.

Now, wait for the nearby guard to walk to the right, and for the guard patrolling near the car to to walk parallel to the first guard (that is, away from the car). With both guards walking away from T-Bone, order him to take cover next to the car. He'll probably be spotted, but he'll escape in the car.

Exit the camera system and run south to the water. Jump in and hang out until the fixers lose you.

Mission Complete.

Act IV / Mission 4

Get to the Ambrose dance club to start the mission. Cross the street and hack the control console on the right side of the building. When inside the camera system, hack the control console that opens the side door. Exit the camera system.

Walk right past the bouncer, but don't get too close, then turn past the banner into the side door. Head inside the club.

Watch Defalt's little video show, then walk through the main doors to the dancefloor. Hack the two people on the dancefloor, then the one on the balcony above, then the camera on the north pillar in order to hack Defalt's server. You'll be inside the camera in a small room. Hack the laptop. Complete some unusual hacking mini-games to get into the camera system where the club DJ is. Hack the DJ's laptop.

Run to the east end of the dancefloor, up the stairs. Climb the boxes, then run to the yellow ladder and climb it to the rafters. Run forward, jumping over obstacles, up a flight of stairs, then out a door to the roof of the building.

A squad of fixers are in between you and the next waypoint, but you don't have to take out all of them, or even any of them (although that might prove difficult). You can stay behind cover and wait for them to scatter a bit (thinning their numbers by shooting some in the legs) before making a run for the brick wall on the left side of the roof. Be wary of the snipers to your right on the neighboring building. Once against the brick wall, take some fixers out, neutralize some, or just run for the next waypoint.

As you approach the waypoint, drop down into the alley. At the end is a vehicle. Get in and chase Defalt. As soon as possible, switch out to a bike, as you'll need to stay close to him in order to complete the hack.

When the hack completes, keep chasing Defalt until you can hack a steam pipe to get him out of his vehicle, then shoot him in the legs to neutralize him. Phone call.

Mission Complete.

Act IV / Mission 5

Wait for T-Bone to call you with the location of the next mission marker, then get over there.

Once the mission starts, head northeast into the building, then hack the control console in the next room. You'll be in the camera inside the room where the fixers are keeping Nikki. Hack the laptop. Hack the junction box to kill Nikki's guard. Then hack his phone to have a conversation with Nikki.

Hack the laptop outside the doorway to your left, then the camera above against the wall. You'll now need to guide Nikki out of the area, just like Rabbit and T-Bone.

Hack the forklift to distract the enforcer outside the door, then order Nikki to run all the way across the bridge to the open door on the large red cargo container. Then hack the camera above her and to the left.

Wait for the two guards up ahead to get near each other, than hack the guard that's further away to cause his comm system to go haywire. The other guard will walk over to help him out. Order Nikki to move to the base of the large yellow structure meant for housing an overhead crane, to the right. Then hack the camera to Nikki's left.

Only one guard stands between Nikki and the getaway car. Hack the lift beyond the guard to distract him, then order Nikki to the car.

As soon as Nikki escapes, exit the camera system and run north, outside, to the river. Jump in and hang out in the water until you lose the fixers.

Mission Complete.

Act IV / Mission 6

Pick up Nikki and Jackson. Cutscene.

You need to get north to Pawnee without being caught by the police. Drive along the eastern edge of the island. As you turn the corner left, you'll see a dock area. Head through there and keep driving north off-road. Take the path under the bridge to avoid the police blockades, then keep going on the off road trail.

Eventually, you'll leave the police's search radius. Keep following the trail back onto the street, then get to the waypoint. Cutscene.

Mission Complete.

Act IV / Missions 7 & 8

RECOMMENDED ITEMS: 2x Blackout

Get to the mission marker, then run to the next waypoint. Hack the router to get into the camera system at the hotel. As the speech goes on, hack the camera behind the speaker, then the camera to the right on the corner of the building, then the camera to the right of that. When the speech ends, hack the security router in front of you to watch a conversation.

Hack the camera on the wall, then the camera behind the glass to the right. Turn right and hack the router inside the meeting room. Hacking mini-game. You'll be in the room with the control desk. Hack the desk.

Exit the camera system and run along the south side of the restricted area. Hack the switch console mid-way and walk through the door into the hotel. Run up the steps through the next door. As soon as you get into the hotel lobby, pop a blackout and run down the hallway to the left, turn right, right again, then left. Run past the elevator you need to hack (which you can't while there's a black-out, and hide inside the room housing the control desk that you hacked earlier.

When the blackout ends, hack the elevator and wait for it to arrive. When it does, make sure the coast is clear, get ready for a take-down, then run into the elevator. Take down the guard inside as soon as you see him, then quickly hack the elevator to ride it up. Cutscene.

Press the take down button when prompted to automatically club one of your captors and shoot the other one in the head. You'll have to shoot the guard in front of you in the head with your pistol as well.

Head outside and immediately pop a blackout. Run across the outside courtyard area, turn right, then right again inside. Be careful of the sniper right before you turn inside, as he can probably see you even in the dark.

Go inside into the office area, then turn left into the open office. On the front of the desk is surveillance equipment you can hack. Hack it to get into the camera inside the room where Quinn is hiding. Hack the shutters behind Quinn and have a chat with him. Hack him when prompted. Cutscene. Hack him again. Finally, hack his laptop.

Run out of the office, turn left, then run through the "EXIT" door, through another door, then down some stairs to the roof of the building. Immediately pop a blackout, and drop down to the ground on the north side (if you're full health, you'll survive the fall). Run to the docks, get in a boat, and drive out of the police's search radius.

Once you evade the police, get back on dry land and get into a car. Drive to the next waypoint. Cutscene.

You'll exit the cutscene in slow-mo. Shoot the legs off any exposed enemies. When the slo-mo ends, you'll be behind cover and have to neutralize the remaining enemies normally. Keep moving when they try to flank you, and stay behind cover when a grenade goes off (unless you're at less than full health, in which case you need to run away as these grenades will kill you).

With all the enemies taken care of, reach Clara. Listen to her message. Fade out.

Act Complete.

Act V

Get back to the bunker to start the final mission. Cutscene. After some phone calls, you'll be directed to a ctOS center. Drive there. As you drive, Damien will hack the traffic lights, steam pipes, and bridges that you cross, so be careful.

Get inside the center and hack the security router. Start the hacking mini-game. You'll end up having to call T-Bone for help.

After T-Bone gives you three waypoints, open up your map and memorize them. Soon, Damien will scramble your map with dummy waypoints, so you need to make sure you get to the right ones. For the record, the waypoints are:

  1. Southwest corner of the small, circular island in between the main north and west islands (a CTOS center is in the opposite corner of the island).
  2. Just to the northwest of the southernmost train station on the east side of the loop in the center of the main center island (one block directly north of a restaurant).
  3. Eastern side of the northern island, on the dock with the rounded structure facing the ocean.

Begin with the waypoint #1. Along the way, you'll have to contend with Damien's hack. You'll also probably be scanned by the police. Just let them scan you and hack the first console.

You'll need to hang around in the area for the hack to complete. Face west and turn the corner, then run around the back of the building until you get to two connecting lifts. Get on the first one, hack it, then hack the second one, get on it, and hack it again to get back to the street. Get in a car and drive to waypoint #2.

Fortunately, Damien's hacks work well to keep the police off of you. If you're using the map's GPS to get to waypoint #2, you'll pass through a tunnel and lose the police. Don't get too excited, because Damien will just send more scans your way. Just let the police scan you, and just keep driving to the waypoint.

The waypoint is at a ctOS center. Enter from the western side, hack the control console to open the gate, then run to the lift on your right and hack it once you're on it. Move forward through the inside area to the console you need to hack.

Take cover behind some boxes and wait for the hack to complete. If there are police officers on your floor when the hack finishes, pop a black out. Regardless, jump off to the ground from the north and exit the center the way you came. Hop into a vehicle and drive to waypoint #3.

When you get to the boardwalk, drive along it until you see an unlockable gate to the right. Hack it, get through, and hack the final control console. Run south and hide behind some planters as you leave this area, making sure to stay within range for the hack to complete.

When the hack finishes, stay hidden until you evade the police, then sneak out of the area, get in a car, and drive back the CTOS center you failed to hack at the beginning of the mission. Fortunately, you won't have to deal with the police or with Damien's hacks.

When you get inside the building, let Deadsec have their little chat with you, then hack the system. Complete the hacking mini game to get inside the server room. Hack the camera to the left, then hack the router. Complete the easiest hacking mini game by far, then hack CTOS from the satellite.

With CTOS down, a blackout triggers. Run out the building south to a nearby dock housing two boats. Hop in one, then drive to the next and final waypoint.

Park the boat on the docks on the north side of the lighthouse island, then head upstairs. As you walk through the gate, hop on the lift to your left and hack it. Get off when it reaches the top and walk inside the lighthouse. Climb the spiral staircase, then the ladder, then head outside and round the corner to another ladder. Climb it. Cutscene.

Use your phone when prompted. Shoot Damien in the legs.

Cutscene. End credits. Sit tight.

Epilogue

Make the obvious choice. More credits.

Congratulations! Game complete.

You can now freely roam around the city, completing any additional content that you might want to.
