Disney Infinity: 2.0 Edition - Marvel Super Heroes FAQ/Walkthrough

by oldschool312   Updated to v0.95 on

Introduction

Disney Infinity is a game that can be almost anything you want it to be. There are 3 playsets with this version: Avengers, Spider-Man, and Guardians of the Galaxy. The playsets are mission based game play much like a traditional experience (complete missions, fight enemies, defeat bosses). The game also has a mode called Toy Box. This is the portion of the game that can be anything you want to be. With a little creativity you can make  your own gaming experiences and even share them on line if you like. The goal of this guide is to provide a blueprint for completing the playsets. Additionally, you will find descriptions of the playable characters, information on the tools used in Toy Box, and more. The Playstation 4 version was used to describe all the content detailed below.

Basics

Game Modes

Disney Infinity allows for several types of gameplay. The placement of a character on the game pad is required for each example. The traditional mission based game is achieved by using one of the playset pieces. Playing in the Avengers, Spider-Man, or Guardians of the Galaxy playset is accomplished by placing  the playset piece on the game pad. The characters available for use in each playset is restricted. Captain America can be used in the Avengers playset but not the Spider-Man or Guardians of the Galaxy playset. A save can be active for each of the three playsets. This means that it is possible to play partially through the Spider-Man playset, save progress, then switch to a different playset. The progress in each playset is saved allowing you to pick up where you left off.

The Toy Box mode can be anything you want. This mode allows for the creation of almost anything that can be imagined. Utilizing the provided tools will allow you to create your own world. This can be a simple map to explore. Add enemies, objectives, or competition to spice up your creations. If creating a new experience doesn't sound interesting, the Toy Box can still be worth a look. With internet access user created content can be downloaded and played. All characters (version 1.0 and 2.0) can be used in Toy Box mode.

The starter kits come with special Power Discs. When these discs are placed on the Disney Infinity base, they open up Toy Box games. There are four Toy Box Game Power Discs: Assault on Asgard, Escape from the Kyln, Brave Forest Siege, Stitch's Tropical Rescue. Each disc contains multiple levels of a pre-made game that can be played individually or on-line with up to four others.

Movement

There are multiple methods to move around the playsets and Toy Box of Disney Infinity. Walking is the simplest. While all characters have the ability to walk (well I guess thats true with the exception of the Cars characters), they also have specialized travel abilities. Captain America, Rocket Raccoon, and Aladdin are examples of characters with a Super Jump. This movement allows a character to jump higher and farther than the ordinary character with a simple hold of the jump button. Spider-Man and Venom are able to web swing. These characters have the capability of firing rope like extentions that allow them to lift off the ground and swing through a world. Flight is also possible. Thor, Maleficent, and Nova are all characters that are capable of flight. Characters can also achieve movement that they are not innately able to perform by using special Power Discs or entering a vehicle (car, motorcyle, helicopter etc.)

Combat

The mechanics of combat are the same no matter what character you select or how you choose to upgrade that character's abilities. The appearance and effectiveness of a characters attacks are altered by how you utilize the skill points earned. Attacks are divided between melee (close to enemy) and ranged (at distance from the enemy). Melee combos are achieved with taps of the Triangle button. The skills unlocked will determine the length and strength of the combo. At a distance attacks are performed using the R2 button. Depending on the character, this will cause the firing/throwing of a weapon. It is possible to free fire by tapping the ranged attack button. Alternatively you can make a crosshair appear on screen for manual aiming by holding the L2 button. Each character in Disney Infinity 2.0 also has a Special Move. Once unlocked a purple bar appears below the character's onscreen experience meter. Once one section of the Special Move meter is full, a Special Move can be unleashed by tapping the R1 button. Part of combat is avoiding damage. Damage from enemies can be decreased by pressing Circle. This will place the character in a block animation greatly reducing incoming damage. We also have the ability to avoid damage with a dodge roll. While pressing Circle move the Left Stick in the direction you want to go and the character will perform an evasive maneuver to avoid damage in the desired direction.

Collectibles

There are numerous items to collection in the play sets. Some items help along the mission while others are used to unlock feats or other in game perks.

  • Blue Sparks: These are the currency of the game. They are released by defeated enemies or found in capsules in the play sets. The amount obtained is tracked by the number next to your character's picture at the top left of the screen. They are universal to your account and are not tied to a particular character. Blue sparks will be used to purchase Toy Box toys in the Toy Box store

  • Purple Sparks: This spark will fill the character's Special Move meter. To be useful the character's Special Move needs to be unlocked in their skill tree. Purple sparks are dropped by defeated enemies or found in capsules throughout the play set. Once a section of the meter is filled the character can unleash a powerful Special Move.

  • Green Sparks: Even if you are the best Disney Infinity player, at times you will receive damage from enemies. This damage depletes the health bar. Once the health bar is fully depleted the character is defeated. To prevent this we can replenish the health bar by collecting green sparks. These sparks will be found by defeating enemies or finding capsules in the play set.

  • Crossover Coins: Each play set will have coins with a character's picture on it. Collect 10 coins of the same character and they will be unlocked for use in that play set. There will be 2 characters unlockable for each play set. Once they are unlocked you can use that character for any missions that remain. Completing the collection also unlocks three new Crossover Missions.
    • The Crossover Characters are:
      • Iron Man - Spider-Man and Guardians of the Galaxy play set
      • Hulk - Spider-Man play set
      • Rocket Raccoon - Avengers play set
      • Nova - Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy play set

  • Bonus Boxes: There are 6 types of Bonus Boxes. They are Flight, Tech, Maximum Strength, Web Swing, Super Jump, and Wall Crawl. Each type of Bonus Box requires a particular skill to obtain. For example only characters enabled with flight can acquire a Flight Bonus Box. In fact, only a character with flight can distinctly see a flight box. A single character may be able to pick up multiple types of Bonus Boxes. Iron Man has the ability to fly but he is also a tech character. So Iron Man will be able to see and acquire both Flight and Tech boxes. There are 20 boxes of a type that are to be collected in a playset. Not all categories of Bonus Boxes are located in each play set. Collecting all of a set will unlock a feat.

FAQs

  • Q: Can I use my Disney Infinity Base from version 1.0 with Disney Infinity 2.0?

    • Yes and No. You do not need a new base if you purchase 2.0 for the same console you purchased 1.0. The PS3 base will work with the PS4. The Xbox 360 base will not work with the Xbox One version of 2.0.
  • Q: Will my 1.0 characters be playable in version 2.0?
    • Yes. All 1.0 characters can be used in the Toy Box mode of Version 2.0.
  • Q: Will my 2.0 characters be playable in version 1.0?
    • No. Characters made for version 2.0 (Marvel or Disney Originals) are only able to be used in version 2.0. They are not backwards compatible.
  • Q: What about all the Toy Box toys I worked so hard to unlock in version 1.0, are they gone?
    • No. All the Toy Box unlockables from version 1.0 can be carried over to version 2.0. Simply place the character or play set the unlockable was in on the Disney Infinity base while running version 2.0. A on screen message appears notifying you that all the items are not unlocked for the Toy Box. This will include any items that you did not unlock in the previous version. For instance, lets say in version 1.0 you never unlocked Rapunzel's tower. Place Rapunzel on the base in version 2.0 and you now have it to use in the new Toy Box.
  • Q: Can I play my Play Sets from version 1.0 in version 2.0?
    • No. All play sets are version specific. Avengers, Spider-Man, and Guardians of the Galaxy play sets only work with version 2.0. Monster's University, Incredibles, Pirates of the Caribbean, Lone Ranger, and Toy Story play sets only work in version 1.0.
  • Q: I have a lot of Power Discs collected from version 1.0. Will I be able to use them in version 2.0?
    • Yes. All Power Discs from version 1.0 are compatible with version 2.0. Any power discs you purchase that are specific to version 2.0 will not be usable in version 1.0.
  • Q: When I upgrade my character will I be able to get all the abilities possible?
    • No. Abilities will range from 1 to 6 points. Gaining experience to get you character to level 20 will unlock 75 Skill Points. This is not enough to unlock every ability available for a character. Instead plan ahead for the skills you like or think will be useful. There is a section in the guide dedicated to the character's skills (Characters)
  • Q: I just used both of my Respender skills, but I want to change my character's skill tree. Can I, or am I stuck?
    • A characters skills can be reset after both respender skills are used. Have the character on the Disney Infinity Base. Go to the main menu and select Options. Now select Game Options. Under this menu you will find a Reset Figure option. Select it and you get warned that completing the action will not only reset the skills but remove all experience earned to that point. Specifically the message states: "Resetting this Figure will clear all of the experience and level advancement this Character has acquired and remove your ownership. If there are other owners, they will retain their saved progress. Are you sure you want to continue?"

Avengers

Avengers Walkthrough

Cold Opening

Everyone's frozen and when they thaw Hulk trys to smash. The responsible party is Loki of course. Move to the elevator and destroy the ice blocking the door. Jump to the elevator's roof and perform and air attack by jumping then tapping Triangle. The elevator gets stuck again. Repeat an air attack to continue the fall. Jump out into the room once the elevator stops. JARVIS will minimize the threat by sealing doors until neaby frost giants are dealt with. Defeat the three enemies to activate a cinematic. The scene shows lasers in the next hall that will cause damage to those that contact them.  These are easy to avoid. Simply jump the first, walk under the second and jump the third laser. Defeat the 5 frost giants in the next room then exit via the hole in the wall at the top of the ramp. More frost giants are approaching by tunneling through the walls. Defeat all five and a door opens. Its blocked by a force field. Jump up to the platform beside the door and crush the controls to deactive the barrier. The next room must be cleared of 12 frost giants before a door opens on the upper level. Climb the blue pipe and bust through some ice to reach the next area. This hall will have more frost giants to defeat. Four to be exact and JARVIS opens the door to a hall with more lasers. Avoid them but the second set is now mobile (vertically). Wait for it to rise and walk under. Continue pressing forward and you eventually reach the lab. Use the pipes on the wall to reach the platform over looking the central console. Arrive there and JARVIS initates a force field to prevent damage in case we can't stablize the reactor. Defeat the frost giants that attack. After the area is clear move to the console and press square to use it. This stabilizes the power core. Exit via the tunnel to complete the mission.

Sheer Wheel Power

Hop on the motorcyle and drive to the marker where Nick Fury waits to give the next mission.

Reward: 100 Blue Sparks, SHIELD Motorcycle

Energy Crisis

Avengers Tower took a hit during this blast of cold air. Activate power stations to restore security to the tower. Drive to the marker and move to the generator. Before you can hit the IN button several frost giants spawn. Defeat them then hit the button. Move to the next power station and defeat seven more frost giants before activating the device. We catch a break at the final power station, only 4 frost giants spawn. Defeat them and hit the button to see the A light up on Avengers tower

Reward: 150 Blue Sparks, Quck Pace Race Challenge

Street Sweeper

The frost giants are blocking SHIELD transports. Move to the marker and eliminate the impediements. Large blocks of ice are sticking out of the road. Destroy all 15 of the ice blocks that are creating the barricade. About half way through a group of frost giants will attack. Take them out then continue until all the ice is gone.

Reward: 150 Blue Sparks, High Flier Challenge

Bridge May Be Icy

A bus of civilians is being attacked by frost giants on a nearby bridge. Move over to the bridge indicated by the marker. There will be frost giants that we can drive/fly by until we reach the bus. Destroy the ice surrounding/blocking the bus. A piece of the bridge is broken. Push it back into place by performing an Air Attack (X then Triangle). Defeat any nearby enemies and the bus begins to move down the bridge. As we travel the bridge the bus will be stopped by ice and/or enemies a couple times. Destroy all obstacles for the bus before it can proceed. If the bus isn't moving then there is some ice or enemies somewhere that need removed. Once the bus safely reaches the end of the bridge the mission is a success.

Reward: 250 Blue Sparks

Shaking the Wasp's Nest

This mission is active automatically after completion of Bridge May Be Icy. Wasp is stuck in a frozen building. Destroy the ice outside the building to help out a founding Avenger. After taking out some of the ice, frost giants spawn and attack. One of them in each group will be a large armored frost giant. The armored enemy will take a couple extra hits to defeat. Other wise its more of the same. Take out the marked ice around the building and eliminate two waves of enemies.

Reward: 250 Blue Sparks

On the Grid

To begin this mission we have to reach the top of Avengers Tower. Thats easy for a flier like Iron Man or Thor but what about our grounded heroes? Captain America and company can reach the top by utilizing the elevator near where Nick Fury stands when he is providing missions. At the top interact with the JARVIS console to start the mission. The city's power grid is off line. Move to the marked locations to reset the power generators and give some juice back to the city. There is a total of 6 power stations to travel to. A few of them will be guarded by frost giants. These enemies are no more difficult to defeat than those we've encountered thus far. Once the IN button on each of the power stations is pressed the mission is complete.

Reward: 250 Blue Sparks

Make Mine Marvel

SHIELD is transporting a valuable informant. They would like a little super powered protection. Locate the SHIELD vehicle and follow it closely throughout the mission. The goal is to keep it from being destroyed on its voyage. Destroy the first set of ice obstacles and a little farther down the road we will encounter a group of attacking frost giants. If the car is not moving then there is ice or enemies to eliminate. When the vehicle stops be ready for a large fight. All the enemies that spawn will have to be defeated to end the mission. Utilize a Special Move when surrounded to thin the crowd. At the end of the mission we find that Captain Marvel was in the back of the vehicle interrogating a frost giant.

Reward: 250 Blue Sparks, Captain Marvel

Bad Press

Loki has captured the mayor and cast a spell on him. The mayor is not broadcasting Loki's propaganda. Move to the radio towers and stop the broadcast. There are three sites where the information is being transmitted. Each site will be guarded by frost giants. Destroy the radio antennae and defeat any enemies that spawn. The antennae are on the tops of buildings so a flier may be more efficient for travel purposes.

Reward: 250 Blue Sparks, Medium Frost Giant A

Civil Warfare

The frost giants are attacking civilians. In fact six innocents are frozen nearby. Move to the SHIELD outpost and help out the civilians. The goal is to transport the citizens to the safe zone for SHIELD extraction. When you locate one of the marked frozen bodies, hit it to break the ice. Pick up that person and carry them to the safe zone. During this mission frost giants will spawn. They do not have to be defeated. Fight them if you like, but the goal is to help the 6 frozen bodies. The mission is complete once all 6 are safe even if you do not attack a single enemy.

Reward: 250 Sparks, Small Shielded Frost Giant

A Heavy Dilemma

Nick Fury requests our help moving a power source to a SHIELD safe zone. Locate the crate at the designated marker. Pick it up and transport it to the first checkpoint where the path will be blocked by ice walls and frost giants. Destroy the obstacles and defeat the enemies. Carrying the box on down the street we will be bombarded from above by ice walls from above. Just try to walk straight down the yellow line. At the delivery site, we are attacked by a small group of frost giants. Defeat them. As long as the crate is not destroyed it will be loaded into the SHIELD truck for transport. Mission accomplished.

Reward: 250 Blue Sparks, Small Frost Giant

Chasing a Lead

Captain Marvel recommends we follow the herd of frost giants moving through the city. That can't be a bad idea can it? Move to the first location and the herd is gone. In their place is a group of frost giants to defeat. The last of the group will be a shielded giant. Continue to move to each marked location to fight off a group of enemies. After three fights the herd leads us to an abandoned warehouse.

Reward: 250 Blue Sparks

Loki's Swelled Head

Move down the hall toward the area where we see the frost giant in the short cinematic. In the large room we will be attacked. The enemies will include 4 flying security drones and 2 frost giants. The security drones are very annoying, take them out first with ranged attacks. Once the  ground forces are gone move to the console and bust it to deactive the securtiy laser wall blocking the path out.  The next room is full as enemies as well. To even the odds a little destroy the control panel right in front of you. This will deactive the turret on the ceiling. In a large room like this with multiple enemies, I usually jump right to the center and unleash a special move. This helps eliminate a few targets while damaging almost everything nearby. Once the room is clear attack the console next to the door to proceed.

The end of this hall is contains another fight. As you approach the enemies look to the left for a console. Destroy it and the ceiling turret is no longer an issue. Take out the security drone and frost giant and the path to the right will open up. This route will have a moving laser at ground level. Fly/jump over it to avoid damage. Next we find two vertically moving lasers that move closer then farther apart. As the two lasers begin to move away from each other jump through the opening they create. The next hall is guarded by a set of horizontally moving lasers. Jump through the gap between the lasers as it moves toward you then race to the end of the hallway. But watch for the third laser that fills the middile moving at a different speed. The only way it will hit you is if you are jumping. At the end destroy the console to open the path forward.

Here we find another fight. At the end of the room a ceiling turret will fire. Run by the frost giants to eliminate the turret first. The console controlling it is on the left side near the turrets location. Once its gone, hit a Special Move if you have one. Eliminate any remaining enemies and a dooway on the right side of the room opens. Move through two groups of lasers and climb a blue pipe. At the top of the pipe destroy a console to deactivate the lasers blocking forward progress. Priority one, according to Fury, is to find the security room. To do so we must eliminate another room full of enemies. This room has a total of 10 bad guys. Two will be giant frost giants, one is a security drone, and the rest are the normal sized combatants. Eliminate them and a door on the upper level opens. We've found Loki and it appears he is working with MODOK.

In a game that isn't designed to be overly difficult, this is one of the tougher battles. At the start notice the surroundings. On either side of the room there are green and purple canisters for health and Special Move meter. Use these as needed but don't waste them. Also if you have multiple Avengers Play Set characters don't be afraid of losing all your health. You will be given an option to continue from the current progress by placing a new character on the base or continue from checkpoint. This is your call the easier route is to continue with a new character so nothing has to be repeated. Loki's first move is to create a clone. Move to a Loki and attack. It doesn't seem like there is a way to differentiate the clone from the real Loki. I've attacked both and ended up at the same point. Once you connect attack with one of the two, Loki goes into stasis (but can still blast a ranged attack) and a frost giant replaces him. Take out the sole frost giant. Loki reappears and is ready to fight. He will attack at range with a blast from his staff. He also will move in close quickly and melee with his weapon. This fight is one of the few times in the game where the block button (Circle) is useful. Holding circle will negate the majority of damage from Loki's attacks. Also if you happen to have the repel ability it can if timed right cause damage to the boss. After he completes a combo counter with your own. If it connects continue to attack and  his health goes down fast. Using ranged attacks does not seem too useful. For the most part Loki just blocks/deflects these attempts. The fight doesn't seem to get easier with increased level. I've ran through this fight with lower level and fully leveled characters. The fully leveled characters have more health and can take more damage but it doesn't make the fight easier. Having multiple Loki's attack at range while they can not receive damage creates a problem no matter how much health you have.

Next Loki will split into three. This is a time where dodge roll (left stick and Circle) becomes very important. All three versions (the two clones and the real Loki) will attack at range. Dodge roll around the room until you can get close to one and attack. This Loki will transform into a giant frost giant. Defeat it but watch for the other non moving Loki's ranged attacks. Once the frost giant is gone the other two clones are out of stasis. Dodge roll to one and attack. This Loki will transform to a frost giant. Defeat the enemy and we get to face Loki again. Block again is important. Allow Loki to come close then counter with your own combo. Eliminating his health bar causes him to split into four. Its the same strategy as before hit a Loki and defeat a frost giant. Eliminate the three clones and we fight against the real deal. Hold block and counter when possible.

A Change in the Air

Move to the marker and either use the elevator or fly to the top of the building. The next marker indicates the site where we can spot the weather machine. Move to it and destroy it. There will be frost giants that attack but focus on the weather machine. Its destruction ends the mission even if a single frost giant is not attacked.

Reward: 200 Blue Sparks

Chilling Chase

Frost Giants and secuity bots are attacking the city. Move to the two locations that are under siege and clear the enemies. The second site will have a few giant frost giants but other than that there isn't anything to really worry about.

Reward: 250 Blue Sparks

Keeping it Loki

The mayor is a prisoner to some frost giants. Eliminate the four enemies holding the mayor. Pick up the elected official and carry him to a SHIELD safe zone for deprogramming. Upon arrival the safe zone isn't so safe. Defeat the five frost giants that spawn to end the mission.

Reward: 250 Blue Sparks

Air Mail

SHIELD has developed a flying motorcyle and is providing it to the Avengers. Move to the drop point on the docks and get on the Sky-cycle. Press Triangle to tranform it into a flying vehicle. Fly it back to the top of Avengers Tower and its yours to keep. This is great for moving around town with characters that can not fly.

Reward: 150 Blue sparks, Sky-Cycle

A Worldwide Web

Loki is now attacking the leaders of the UN. There are four members of the UN that are frozen solid. Break the ice and transport the thawed diplomats to the SHIELD safe zone for deprogramming. There will be frost giants that attack. Defeat them if you like but it isn't required. As long as all four UN members make it to the safe zone the mission is complete.

Reward: 250 Blue Sparks, AIM Drone

Snow End in Sight

Five weather machines are creating havoc in the city. Move to each of their locations and destroy them along with any frost giants that get in your way.

Reward: 200 Blue Sparks, Super Jump Race

Ice Breaker

SHIELD has developed portable heat generators to combat the frost giants. They have one in the park but it will take some time to power up. Move to its location and protect it from the attacking enemies. The regular assortment of enemies will appear. They will not stop spawning until the 2:00 timer reaches zero or the generator is destroyed. Lets up the timer runs out first. The main concern for this mission is an unruly camera that doesn't allow a full  view of the enemies surrounding the generator. Utilize any Special Moves when swarmed and pick off the others as the approach the generator.

Reward: 250 Blue Sparks

Hasty Retreat

Move to the next SHIELD safe zone. More citizens are being frozen by the frost giants. This time we have 3 minutes to break the ice on 8 people and transport them to the safe zone where a heat generator will protect them. The frost giants won't like the idea of you disturbing their important work. They will attack and not stop spawning until your character is eliminated or all eight citizens are saved. For the most part you can ignore the enemies. Attack them when you need to clear a path or are swarmed. Otherwise free a citizen, pick them up, and toss them to the safe zone. Throwing them is more efficient/quicker than carrying them all the way as long as your aim is good.

Reward: 250 Blue Sparks

Training Ground

Even the subways are not safe from frost giant attacks. Clear the street of the five frost giants. Find the frozen portion of the ground and perform and air attack to bust into the subway track below. The path for the on coming train is blocked by ice. Destroy the beams on either side of the track to bring the road above crashing down. This provides a ramp for the train to ride up preventing a more dangerous crash. There will be frost giants that attack. Eliminate them as needed but the primary focus is on destroying the steel beams. After the cinematic a enemies spawn. Eliminate them to complete the mission.

Reward: 250 Blue Sparks

Pier Pressure

Captain Marvel saw frost giants taking Sif to the docks. Head there to investigate. Defeat the swarm of enemies that spawn. They will include some drones, normal sized enemies, and giant frost giants. Once the last enemy is eliminated the mission ends.

Reward: 250 Blue Sparks

Sif's Ship-Shape

The next mission is extremely close. Its activated as soon as Pier Pressure ends. Move to nearby warehouse and enter. The first room contains more frost giants to bash. A total of 12 will greet you at the door. Deeper into the warehouse another group of frost giants is waiting to attack. Defeat all nine in this group and a cinematic shows a disturbance outside. One of the crates releases a snow mobile. Use it to drive to the next objective, the ice caves. When at the marker exit the vehicle and enter the cave. Upon entry the path out behind you is blocked. In the next large room there will be several frost giants to defeat. Special Moves can help clear the area much faster. Upon the defeat of both waves of enemies a monster frost giant explodes out of the wall. This guy isn't too much to worry about. He can take more hits than his brothers. He also has more variety in his attacks. Dodge roll out of his way and use ranged attacks to decrease his health. Continue the dodge and attack strategy until the big guy shatters. Sif is in the next room. When you reach the marker a cinematic take over.

Reward: 250 Blue Sparks, Snowmobile, Sif

Taking Some Heat

Loki and MODOK's weather machines are not working together to coat the city in a super blizzard. There are three large weather machines on roof tops in the city. These machines are floating above the buildings and will be tethered by generators directly below it. The goal is to destroy the tethers so that the machine explodes. Of course frost giants will be there to attempt to divert you from your goal. Defeat or ignore them and take out the machines.

Rewards: 250 Blue Sparks

Just Say Nano

Fury immediately gives you the next mission. We have to defend Avengers Tower while JARVIS creates a nano-virus. Just outside the tower we will find the gates down on the entrance. We have to protect these against the frost giant attack. They will spawn continuosly until JARVIS has completed the nano-virus. Both doors will be attacked. Be sure to divide your attention between both sides. If one gate is dramatically at lower health than the other then it takes priority. JARVIS will provide updates on the shield strength and his work on the nano virus. This will give you an idea of how much longer you need to hold off the enemies. Remember protecting the tower is more important than defeating enemies. If a frost giant is a way from the gates then he isn't presenting an immediate threat. Be sure to eliminate those that are attacking the tower first then it is possible to spread out and attack the others as they approach the tower.

Reward: 250 Blue Sparks

Chill Out

Captain Marvel has located another frost giant horde. This is simply a fight. You will have to destroy two sets of enemies. Each set will have about 8 frost giants. The two sets are nearby but in separate locations. Once the street is clear the mission is complete.

Reward: 250 Sparks, Ranged Attack Frost Giant, Vs. Mode Docks

I'll Let You Off with a Warming

SHIELD is using the heat generators to take parts of the city out of frost giant control. Move to the drop site and protect the generator while it warms up. A timer will appear. We have to defeat the enemies that appear and last 2:30 to complete the objective. The camera presents the biggest obstacle in this mission. Its difficult to target some of the drones due to the poor view. While defending its more important to eliminate enemies that are close to the generator. Anytime you are over run or there are multiple targets clumped together unleash a Special Move to damage all that nearby. Its likely that the generator will receive some series damage and you may just barely make it to the expiration of the timer.

Reward: 350 Blue Sparks

Hot Spot

We have to protect another heat generator. This one was placed by Captain Marvel at the docks. This is just like the other defend mission but the timer is extended to 3 minutes. Defeat any enemy that approaches the generator. Use the Special Moves wisely when enemies are grouped.

Reward: 250 Blue Sparks, Medium Frost Giant B

Joining the Frozen Legion

The mission sounds like its going to be one where we have to follow someone without being detected. Its not. Instead once we arrive at the marker where the frost giant general is meant to be we end up in a brawl. Clear the street of frost giants to complete the mission.

Reward: 250 Blue Sparks, Tread Dead Challenge

Cold Rush

Sif asks that we continue to chase the frost giant general. This will not be a chase. Arriving at the marker initiates a fight. Defeat two waves of enemies in two locations to end the mission. At the end Sif believes she's located the enemy base.

Reward: 350 Blue Sparks

Take Snow Prisoners

We now know where the general is located. We must infiltrate his fortress. The infilitration process is just smashing some frost giants in the face. Defeat two waves of enemies and the general makes an appearance. The general is not a new enemy. He is one of the large frost giants with extra attacks and health. Avoid his boulder throw, ground quake, and sonic attack that may freeze. With the general and his two minions out of commission we completed the objectives.

Reward: 350 Blue Sparks, Large Frost Giant

Safety First

Loki and MODOK are setting up a device in the center of the park. In order to safely deploy the nano-virus we have to evacuate the civilians. We only have 3:30 to save all the citizens. The goal is to break the people out of their icy prison with an attack. Pick them up and carry them into the SHIELD safe zone where the heat generator is located. Move to the civilians farthest away from the safe zone and beginning freeing them first. Then work your way back to the closer captives. The entire time frost giants will attempt to stop your good deeds. Fighting them just slows you down. Only attack if swarmed. Even then its probably better to run. As you carry a civilian close to the safe zone it is perfectly acceptable to throw them into safety.

Reward: 250 Blue Sparks

Viral Infection

We have to attach the nano-virus to the Casket. When the mission begins pick up the device next to you and begin carrying it to the Casket. Along the way ice walls will appear blocking your path. There will also be attacking frost giants. When progress is being stopped, set the device down and eliminate all obstacles. This is not timed so there is no need to rush. The most important thing is to keep moving forward while keeping the device safe from damage. As soon as the nano-virus is in place a cinematic leads us directly into the final mission.

A Chilling Conclusion

Loki is not very fond of the Avengers meddling in his plans. To prove this point he summons a giant frost beast from below ground. This guys is no joke. His primary attack is his ice cold breath. This frost breath is telegraphed when the beast leans his head back. As he moves forward he will cast his breath from the right side of the screen all the way across. If hit this burst of cold air will freeze our hero in place. After the breath reaches the left side of the screen several boulders emerge from the ground. These will momentarily explode again from the right side of the screen to the left. The exploding ice rocks deal serious damage. Avoid being frozen by dodge rolling right through the ice gust as it moves toward you. Blocking will help limit the damage from the exploding boulders. After the boulders explode the beast will attempt a melee attack with his giant paw. It will come crashing down toward you. This should not connect. A simple dodge roll out of the way will prevent any damage. Fortunately for us though the beast's arm is not stuck to the ground. Move to it and attack. It may not appear to decrease his health meter but thats okay. Damage the arm enough and he will collapse. With the beast's head in range pound on his face. Now you will see the health bar deplete. The beast will retract and curl up in a little (well not really little) ball. At this point, a swarm of frost giants emerge. Use a Special Move to thin them out quick. Then pick off any survivors. The beast may awaken before you eliminate the frost giants. That is not a terrible thing. His attacks will remain the same. The breath followed by explosive ice boulders. These ice boulders will likely eliminate any stray frost giants. The rest of the fight is the same as the first phase. The beast does get an extra attack when down to one-third of his health. After smashing the ground with his hand for you to attack, he will beat the ground with both arms. Stay clear of either arm by staying on outside or in between them. Just don't stand directly under them and get hit. You will need to attack the head a total of three times to obtain victory.

Avengers Challenges

  • Vs. Mode Docks
    • DESC: Challenge a friend at the Docks! The player with the most knockouts wins
    • TIPS: This is a two-player challenge. Five minutes are placed on the clock. When the timer reaches zeroes the person with the most knockouts wins.
  • Vs. Mode Park
    • DESC: Challenge a friend at the Park! The Player with the most knockouts wins
    • TIPS: This is a two-player challenge. Five minutes are placed on the clock. When the timer reaches zeroes the person with the most knockouts wins.
  • Vs Mode Avengers Tower
    • DESC: Challenge a friend on top of Avengers Tower! The player with the most knockouts wins.
    • TIPS: This is a two-player challenge. Five minutes are placed on the clock. When the timer reaches zeroes the person with the most knockouts wins.
  • High Flier
    • DESC: Fly to the finish line as fast as you can! Pass through all the gates in order
    • GOLD: 2:00
    • SLVR: 2:20
    • BRNZ: 2:40
    • TIPS: Only a flier can attempt this challenge. Even a non-flier on a flying vehicle is excluded. So you will have three options Iron Man, Thor, or Nova. Follow the green mist line to fly through green gates. I had the Full Thrusters skill (increases flight speed) on Iron Man and was able to get gold on the first try. The better you can avoid environmental slow downs the easier the challenge is. The first time through I'd missed a gate and ran into a building. Even with these 2 drastic, time consuming errors I was able to get gold with a second to spare.
  • Trills and Chills
    • DESC: Earn a high score doing stunts on the snowmobile
    • GOLD: 7000 (14000)
    • SLVR: 5000 (10000)
    • BRNZ: 2000 (4000)
    • TIPS: This challenge is not in the city. It is at the Ice Park located at one of the docks. You must enter a nearby warehouse to access the park. The challenge is to score points performing tricks on the snowmobile. A trick is achieved by leaving the ground and moving the right stick in a direction. The snowmobile will then flip or spin based on the direction chosen. Points are only scored by landing after a trick is performed. If you crash then the points the trick was worth are not added to your total.
  • Flight Targets
    • DESC: Fly through the rings to earn points
    • GOLD: 1200 (2000)
    • SLVR: 1000 (1750)
    • BRNZ: 800 (1500)
    • TIPS: A flight character is required for this challenge (Iron Man, Thor or Nova).  You are transported to the top of Avenger's tower. From here pick a side and begin to fly through as many rings and orbs as possible. Connecting with rings or orbs grants points toward your overall score. The key is to keep moving and be accurate with your flight pattern. The more time you spend between rings and the more rings missed the less likely a high score is obtained. If given the choice between hitting a ring or a set of orbs, I'd target the red orbs. They seemed to give more points than missing a ring or two.
  • Quick Pace Race
    • DESC: Race the motorcycle to the finish line. Pass through all the gates in order.
    • GOLD: 1:00
    • SLVR: 1:20
    • BRNZ: 1:40
    • TIPS: While on the motorcycle there is no reason to avoid traffic. You will plow right through any vehicles in the way. You do have to avoid environmental obstacles, buildings, subway entrances, etc. Achieving gold on this challenge simply requires becoming familiar with the course. A quick and easy piece of advice is to avoid riding onto the overpass early in the race. The turn coming off of the over pass requires a quick jump that usually leads to a crash or stop in forward movement. Instead as you approach the overpass stay to the open area on the left and you will still be able to follow the green mist. Gold is achievable without worrying about the turbo meter.
  • A Shot at Glory
    • DESC: Earn points by breaking targets. Utilize your Character's special moves!
    • GOLD: 1000 (1400)
    • SLVR: 875 (1150)
    • BRNZ: 725 (900)
    • TIPS: You have 2 minutes to destroy as many orbs as possible. A flier that has a good quick ranged attack is great for this mission. Iron Man has both. Target the red orbs because they will lead to the destruction of the surrounding orbs. Take out the group right below the starting point and to the left quickly. Next fly to the distant higher orbs near the portion of road that rises above the ground and shoot out/fly through the red orb for some quick points. On the back side of the building on the left there will be several spots with red orbs too. After these higher orbs are destroyed move around the ground level firing repulsor shots as much as possible to destroy everything in sight. After a couple times and becoming familiar with orb location a good medal should be in the future.
  • Skyward Score
    • DESC: Fly through the rings to earn points
    • GOLD: 1200 (2000)
    • SLVR: 1000 (1800)
    • BRNZ: 800 (1600)
    • TIPS: Iron Man, Nova, or Thor are the possible heroes for this challenge. It requires flight and they are the only ones in the Avenger's play set with that ability. Rings will be in the air. The goal is to fly through as many of them in 2 minutes as you can. For each ring that you fly through or connect with points are added to your score. Pick a route and follow the rings as best you can. This really tests your ability to control a flying character. The more space you cover without hitting the rings the more difficult it will be to get a medal winning score.

Spider-Man Walkthrough

Dark Days Ahead

The opening sequence of the mission is simply following Mysterio and jumping when he raises or removes portions of the ground. Eventually Mysterio goes a way and we practice are ability to climb on ledges. After the initial simple platforming we arrive at a room with a large glass wall. We can see Mysterio and our character's reflection. Observe the position of the character in relation to Mysterio in the reflection and attack him (tap Triangle). The wall shatters and a cinematic begins.

Rewards: 75 Blue Sparks

Trapped Like Sardines

White Tiger is going after Mysterio and Goblin. We are to stay in the lab and rescue any trapped scientists. Move into the next room and destroy the power source indicated by the yellow arrow to disable the force field on the exit. Climb up the elevator shaft and exit to the broken walk way. A symbiote exits a containment tank. Defeat it by attacking with Triangle.  The next room has several more symbiotes. Eliminate them then attack the battery. Once its out of place pick it up and carry it in to the next room. Place it in the socket in this room to open the next door. The next room contains a turret. Avoid the missiles by walking at angles toward it or dodging (Circle and left stick). Remove the battery on the right from its socket and place it on the socket to the left. The next room will have two shield turrets and several symbiotes. Defeat the symiotes and dodge the turret's missiles. Move up the ramp to the right side of the room. Follow the path, leaping over gaps until it ends with a glass floor. Jump and smash through it (X then Triangle). Knock the battery out of its socket then exit. The turrets and force field are now gone. Move into the next room. Use the ledges on the wall to the left to move across the gap in the floor. If you fall don't worry there is a pipe below that will allow access to the starting point for another try.

The next room has a simple puzzle. A turret knocks a battery out of its socket. Place this battery on the elevator. Now move to the wall near the elevator and find a battery in a containment unit. Attack the battery to knock it loose. Place this battery in the nearby socket to activate the elevator. Use the elevator to reach the higher platform. The battery on the elevator can be used to open the door to the next room. Here we find more symbiotes and another battery. Defeat the enemies. This battery is surrounded by an electric field that damages if touched. Move into the room to the left to find another battery in a wall containment unit. Place this battery in the other socket in the room. A turret begins to fire. Move to the other side of the protected battery and the turret will help knock the batery out of place. This removes a force field on the exit. We can now deactivate the turret by removing the battery in the other socket. Use one of the two batteries to open the door to the next room by placing it on the socket near the exit. We have found the scientist and they are now safe.

Rewards: 100 Blue Sparks, Swarming Symbiote for the Toy Box

From Tiger to Cage

This mission is quite simple. Just move to the marked location to find Luke Cage. After the quick cinematic the mission is complete.

Reward: 75 Blue Sparks

Unfriendly Neighborhood

Green Goblin is releasing symbiotes throughout the city. Move to the marked location and eliminate the enemies. The first two sites will have average sized symbiotes. The last ones will have a combination of tiny symbiotes and average sized. Take them out one by one to complete the mission.

Reward: 150 Blue Sparks, Symbiote Grunt, SHIELD Hovercar, Hovercar Race Challenge

Track-A-Mole

Enter the hover car and move to the marker. Here we find the target we are to follow. Transform the car into the hover craft and raise a decent distance into the air. Once the thief's car begins to move follow it. Move to close or get too far away and the mission fails leading to a restart from the beginning. The tricky part is quick turns and the run under the elevated tracks. Following while in the air reduces the risk of these obstacles causing you to lose the target. The car you are following eventually stops at the docks.

Now our objective changes. Exit the vehichle and retrieve the stolen SHIELD tech. There are 10 pieces of tech at the docks. They can be found in crates with the SHIELD logo. Destroy the crate to collect the tech. Upon approaching a crate symbiotes will spawn. They should give you little resistance. Four pieces of the stolen tech are located around the base of the building. The other 6 pieces will be found by reaching the 2nd level and roof. There is a jump pad that provides access to the 2nd level at the back of the building near the water. Roof access is easily obtained with the jump pad at the front of the building. There are more crates than pieces of tech but each set of crates will have one piece. Destroy all the crates to find all the tech.

Reward: 250 Blue Sparks

Interrupted Upload

White Tiger has learned that an Oscorp scientist is missing. Move to the marker to enter his computer lab. At the entrance we find 15 symbiotes. Defeat them then move to the door to enter the computer lab. Attack the battery on the right side of the hall. Pick it up and carry it further into the lab. The ground floor of the next room will contain a few symbiotes to fight. Once clear place the battery on the socket on the left side of the rooms. Several doors open. Enter the next room and drop to the ground. Destroy the gate on Lab C43. Defeat the symbiotes inside. The wall at the back of the room has a battery. Destroy the containment field around it. Pick the battery up and return to the previous room. With battery in hand, ride the elevator up a level and place it in the socket. We can now enter Lab 01B. This room is totally optional. There are numerous symbiotes and a variety of canisters with different colored sparks. Entering can give you some XP but it isn't necessary. The battery needs to go in the socket on the side opposite the elevator. This will activate the elevator on the other side of the room. Now pick up the battery on the lower level of this room and exit to the main chamber with it. Place this batter in the socket on the right side of this room.

More doors should open. This room has floor panels that are red. Do not stand on the red floor panels they will cause damage. Depending on your character there are multiple ways to get across the room. If you want a little extra action drop to the small pit an defeat the symbiotes. Use the yellow pipe to climb out. The next room will contain numerous symbiotes. The goal is to reach the observation area to the left half way up the wall. Depending on your character there are multiple ways to get there. Spidey, Venom, Nova can get there through the air (web swing or flight). Iron Fist or Nick Fury can get there by climbing the yellow pipe in the corner on the same side of the room as the entrance. This provides access to the ventilation system near the ceiling. Jumping across it we can grab the ledge of the desired room and shimmy to its opening. Fight through the symbiotes to reach a long corridor with red floor panels and a turret at the end. Again depending on the character there are multiple ways to get across. If you can't fly or web swing look on either side of the room for a spot to climb. This will allow you to traverse the dangers of the floor. Be quick though the turrets are still firing and will hit you. Once across drop down to the ground and jump over the last of the red floor panels. Run right by the turret and wait behind the battery surrounded by a force field. The missiles will hopefully hit the battery and knock it out of its socket. This eliminates the turrets as well. Pick up the battery and move forward. This path leads back to the main chamber.

Position the batteries so that the main central console is powered. The correct sockets will have a blue floor path leading to the central tower. Once all batteries are in place a timer and health bar appears on the screen. You have 2 minutes to stay alive and protect the console from the endless invasion of symbiotes. Once the timer ends and the console is still standing the mission is complete.

Reward: 200 Blue Sparks, Black Cat, Symbiote, Crawl and Collect Challenge

Sweet and Sewer

Black Cat is now giving out missions too. After talking to her head over and see if the SHIELD agents need any help. Before entering the sewers we have to eliminate the 10 symbiotes attacking nearby. In the sewers move forward and eliminate a couple of symbiotes. Pick up the cylinder next to the SHIELD agent in the white suit. Tapping R2 will fire this weapon and damage symbiote material. Use the green pads with the lightning bolt symbol to recharge the cylinder. Continue forward and eliminate the clumps of symbiote material ahead. Especially the clump indicated by the yellow arrow. Now bust open the wall to the right. The SHIELD agents will follow and climb up the red ladder to safety.

Continue forward, leaving the cylinder if you like (there is another one up ahead). Navigate the rising symbiote walls to reach the ramp. Pick up the cylinder and use it to easily dispatch the enemies ahead. Follow the path to the green moving platforms. Jump from one to another to gain access to a walkway above. Travel deeper into the sewer and defeat a couple of groups of symbiotes. We eventually hear that someone needs our help. Move down the path to find another cylinder. Use it to destroy the symbiotes. Continue to navigate around the symbiote walls until you see another clump. Blast it. Now head back to destroy the symbiote wall. Two more SHIELD agents exit via a red ladder. Move deeper into the sewers and we find a slightly raised platform surrounded by sewer water. Defeat all the symbiotes that spawn on the platform to complete the mission. (Using Spidey in this mission works wonders due to his Web Barrage special move hitting numerous targets).

Reward: 200 Blue Sparks, Tendriled Symbiote, Sonic Weaponry Challenge

Agents of Goblin

SHIELD Agents have been transformed by symbiotes. Move to the first marker to begin a quest through a series of red flashing lights. You will pass through a total of 7 on the way to the first agent. Upon arrival defeat the nearby symbiotes. When safe pick up the SHIELD agent and carry them back to the quest giver. Repeat the process with less red flashing lights (6 and 3) twice more. If the agents become covered with symbiote goo, smack them around a little to set them free.

Reward: 250 Blue Sparks

Target the Traitor

After talking to Luke Cage, head over to OSCORP and pick up the scientist. Go to the marker and place the scientist next to the console. Deliver the scientist to two more consoles. The difference now is the 2nd and 3rd tracking arrays will be attacked by symbiotes. Defeat them before they can destroy the array. With the tracking array operational pick up the scientist and swing over to Luke Cage's new location. After the cinematic, you will find yourself in a vehicle. Follow the marked car. I find tapping Triangle to transform to a hover car is really efficient in following vehicles safely.  When the vehicle being followed stops a short cinematic shows us that Black Cat is on the case too. Swing over and be ready for a fight. The first enemy is a large symbiote. Try to stay away from the monster and hit him with ranged attacks. Any time he gets close be sure to dodge roll away to avoid damage. The large symbiote hits really hard. As he is defeated more symbiotes of smaller dimensions spawn. Finally we get a large symbiote joining the fight with the normal sized enemies. Again stick with ranged attacks on the big guy and dodge roll to avoid losing health.

Reward: 150 Blue Sparks, Large Symbiote

Sewer Search

Jump into the sewers via the open man hole nearby. Pick up the blaster and use it to destroy the symbiote wall. Press the IN button to open a passage in the floor. Drop below and travel deeper into the sewers. As you approach another IN button, a swarm of symbiotes attack. Defeat them and press the IN button to drain the water ahead. Drop into the remaining opening and fight off the symbiotes. Locate the blaster and drop it on the wooden plank closest to the symbiote wall. Climb back up to the button and press it again so the area fills with water. Jump across the boards and pick up the blaster. Eliminate the symbiote wall and fight the enemies on the other side. Ahead we find another river of sewer water. Jump on the board and it will act as your raft. Use the blaster to eliminate any symiote walls that will impeede your path. If your raft collides too frequently with the symbiote walls it will be destroyed and you must begin the ride again. Upon exiting our water craft we are witness to a cinematic showing the Green Goblin. At its conclusion be ready for a fight. We face numerous small and normal sized symbiote as well as a couple large ones. A blaster is nearby that will even the odds quickly but use it wisely because there is no charging station in the room. Just as before stay ranged against the large symbiotes and dodge roll when they approach/attack.

Reward: 150 Blue Sparks

Goblin's Lair

After winning the fight the next room will have some minor platforming. Alternatively if you can fly or web swing just skip the platforming and land on the elevated central column. Here we find three colored pressure pads. Standing on a pad and performing a ground pound (X then Triangle) will cause a blast of steam to shoot out the corresponding colored vent. Watch as a Goblin Drone will rotate around the room. When the drone is over the appropriate vent smash the pad to disable it. While the drone is not moving in the center, move toward it and pick it up. Target (press L2) the hovering Goblin and toss the drone at him. Be quick and efficient because after a few seconds the drone detonates even if its in your characters grasp. Before throwing make sure the Goblin is moving slowly or momentarily stationary. The best time to toss the drone is once you are locked on to the Goblin as indicated by the on screen targeting reticule flashing. The drone will also fire a ranged attack. Standing behind the pressure pads practically eliminates the likelihood of being hit. Also watch for random pumpkin bombs thrown by the Goblin. After the first direct drone to Goblin hit, the super villain will unleash a series of pumpkin bombs. Avoid damage by running around the platform and dodge rolling. Another method to avoid damage is to use the vents behind the pressure plates to your advantage. Standing on one will shoot your character in the air thereby avoiding the bombs on the ground. Hit the Goblin with a second drone and symbiotes will spawn as well. Now we have to hit the pressure plate and use the drone to target the Goblin while fending off/avoiding the spawning drones. Don't focus too heavily on the symbiotes because they will just keep coming. The primary concern should be getting that drone. If the situation gets sticky use a special move or if Spidey the symbiotes can be web stunned. In any event once Goblin is hit the third time he is removed from his glider and taken into SHIELD custody.

Reward: 250 Blue Sparks

The Sound of Safety

The city is under attack and SHIELD has some tech to help. Move to the first location and assist the agents in activating sonic weapons to combat the symbiotes. The goal is to protect the two vans from the symbiotes running down the bridge. There are three sonic weapons that can be used to defeat the waves of enemies. They will allow for a total of 15 uses. Fire one shot at a close group and you are likely to eliminate more than one symbiote with a shot. The last enemy will be a large symbiote that will hit the vans for a lot of damage. Save one of the cannons for this guy. For the first waves grab a cannon and use it to defeat as many of the symbiotes as you can. Then once the ammo is depleted for two of the cannons, use your characters arsenal to defeat the symbiotes. As long as the two vans are intact and all the symbiotes are defeated the mission will be a success.

Reward: 150 Blue Sparks, Rat Trap Challenge

Earn Your Wings

After talking to Luke Cage, we receive a Sky-Cycle. Its just what it sounds like, a flying motorcyle. We have to prove that we are skilled in its use before we are allowed to completely run wild with the vehicle. Hop in and fly through or shoot the nine targets ahead. The left stick controls forward momentum. The right stick controls height. R2 and Triangle will allow you to fire the cycle's weapons. Now that we've proven we can manuever the cycle its time to test it in a real world situation. Symbiotes are attacking. Move to each of  the three sites and eliminate the enemies. Its not required that you remain on the cycle but it does prove to be formidable against the enemies. Each site will have a comination of Goblin Bots and symbiotes. The last stop will also have a giant symbiote to fight. Eliminate the drones first then focus fire on the symbiotes on the ground. Staying on the cycle you can fire at the enemies then fly by and quick turn (R1) to fire at them again. Staying ranged on the cycle is the way to go.

Reward: 100 Blue Sparks, Sky-Cycle, Furious Frenzy Challenge

We Interrupt this Broadcast

Mysterio is trying to use the "good" name of J. Jonah Jameison to degrade our super hero friends. Move to the location of each broadcast and destroy the large screens or satellite dishes. The can be destroyed with melee attacks, ranged attacks, or by swinging into them. There are 10 total objects to destroy.

Reward: 250 Blue Sparks

Sky-Cycle Salvo

The agent is losing connection with the SHIELD radars and needs us to investigate. Even if you are using a character with in air abilities, the Sky-Cycle is a very useful (but not a necessary) tool for this mission. It is crucial that we protect the antennae from destruction. The first site is infested with symbiotes defeat them and a giant symbiote appears. The key here is to stay away from the antennae because the giant symbiote mostly focuses on you. Stay ranged and attack while dodge rolling when he approaches. The second site will add some Goblin Drones to the beginning of the fight. This is where the cycle can be very useful. Even with flight and good ranged attacks the drones are annoying. The Sky-Cycle helps us eliminate the drones more efficiently. Once the normal sized symbiotes are defeated two Giant Symbiotes appear. This would be a good time for a special move if you have one. The strategy remains the same stay ranged, attack with melee quickly, and dodge roll when the enemy is about to attack. The difference here is that you will have two coming at you at the same time. The final site will only have Goblin Drones and symbiotes. Again the Sky-Cycle is very useful in taking out the drones.

Reward: 350 Blue Sparks

Escapee Escort

A group of OSCORP scientist are trying to cut ties with the company. Here we have to protect the SHIELD transport. Move to the first vehicle and eliminate any attacking symbiotes. Then focus on the large pipes pouring out symbiote goo. Keep an eye on the vehicle because if its destroyed the mission is failed. Once this vehicle is safe a cinematic shows some Goblin Drones flying to the 2nd site. Move there and eliminate the drones first. Now just as before eliminate the attacking symbiotes and destroy some goo pipes. If this get troublesome unleash a special and watch the pipes and enemies go down fast. This vehicle will then move to the site of the first transport. A second cinematic shows more Goblin Drones heading to the third site. Eliminate the drones then fight of the symbiotes and goo pipes as before. This vehicle also move to the original battle site. Along the way though, the third vehicle's progress is impeded by Giant Symbiote and goo pipes. Destroy the targets to allow the vehicle to continue to its destination.

When all three vehicles converge we get a symbiote mess of a fight. The goal is to protect all three vehicles by destroying the enemies and the pipes. Several normal sized symbiotes spawn, as well as two goo pipes and a giant symbiote. If you have one, stand between the two goo pipes and un leash a Special Attack. This will damage the pipes and the giant. If you have more than one use them until the pipes and/or giant symbiote are destroyed. Again keeping the vehicles safe is the priority. Move between each of the three transports and eliminate the symbiotes. While rotating around take few shots at the giant and the pipes if they are still standing. Once the cars are safe move to the nearby roof. A SHIELD helicopter is about to take off. Defeat the few symbiotes that are nearby and it reaches the air. The scene shifts and you are on the Sky-Cycle behind the helicopter. Don't worry about forward movement or steering around the city, both of those task are automatic. The only concern is getting the attacking Goblin Drones in the cross-hairs and firing. At first only one or two drones appear at slow intervals. As the escape proceeds, multiple drones (up to four) can appear at one time and with higher frequency. Be sure to eliminate them as quick as possible to protect the helicopter. Once you arrive at the Statue of Liberty the mission is complete.

Reward: 250 Blue Sparks

The Cat's Out of the Bag

The Black Cat is in trouble. Move to the marker and defeat the eight symbiotes (one is a giant). Enter the sewers to look for Black Cat. If you can swing or fly the first room is a breeze. Simply fly or swing to the platform above the sybmiote wall blocked door. Otherwise you have to use the ledges to platform your way around the room to the same location. Once through to the next room climb the yellow pipe and grab the sonic cannons. Drop below and defeat the symbiotes. Destroy the symbiote wall and proceed down the sewers defeating enemies as you go. In the pump room move up the ramp to the left to grab the sonic cannon. Drop off the platform near the entry point. Move to the lower pump and get on using it as an elevator. Repeat this for the other higher nearby pump. Drop down near the cannon charger and destroy the symbiote wall ahead. Continue deeper into the sewers and we find Black Cat in another pump room.

She is being suspended in air with symbiote material. Look to the left side and take note of the symbiote wall. Move to its other side (flight, web swing, or platforming) and grab the sonic cannon. Destroy the symbiote wall. Now destroy the first symbiote goo pile that is holding Black Cat. Use the pump near where the cannon was located to reach the upper level. Here we find some symbiotes to fight and a second cannon. Defeat the enemies then break down the boards blocking access to the next corridor. Inside there are several charging stations and some enemies to defeat. Continue through the corridor and destroy another boarded door way. We've found the second tether holding Black Cat. Destroy it. Finally drop all the way to the bottom and ride the pump on the right up one level. Exit then wait for the pump to lower and ride the top of it up another level. Walk straight across this platform and drop down to find the last of the three tethers holding Black Cat up. The cinematic reveal that it was all an illusion. That wasn't Black Cat at all.

Reward: 100 Blue Sparks

Oscorp Escort

Another Oscorp scientist has defected and needs some protection. We find ourselves on the Sky-Cycle protecting another helicopter. Just as in the mission before do not worry about navigation around the city forward movement and making turns are automatic. The goal is to destroy the Goblin Drones before they destroy the helicopter. They will come in waves. Destroy them in order of appearance. There is a delay when one appears before it fires. This gives you time to destroy it before it hits the helicopter. Destroying them out of order is fine but the helicopter may take more damage.

Reward: 350 Blue Sparks

Rooftop Rendezvous

Scientists are under attack. Move to the marker and help out. This is just a brawl. Eliminate all the symbiotes and Goblin Drones on the nearby rooftops. Once the area is clear a scientist comes out of hiding. Move to his location and some mini-symbiotes attack. Defeat them or just grab the scientist and leave. Either way drop off the victim at the safe zone to complete the mission.

Reward: 250 Blue Sparks

Symbiote Ambush

This mission is just a fight against two swarms of enemies located in to spots. A total of more than 80 symbiotes will be dispatched by the end of the mission. The last wave in each set will contain a Giant.

Reward: 250 Blue Sparks, Police Horse

Mysterio's Hideaway

Helping all those scientists has paid off. They've given us the location of Mysterio's lair. Its not that simple though. They need to activate some radar stations to get the exact location. Pick up one of the white coats and take him to the first location. Protect the radar station by defeating the symbiotes. Once its active pick up the scientist and move to location 2. Here two scientists are working. Again protection is the key. Defeat the enemies and the third location appears. This time we have to make two trips to transport two scientists. The third location is split between two levels. The lower roof will be the first one to protect then it will move to the raised portion. Continue to alternate between the lower and upper levels until al all the symbiotes and goo tubes are gone.

Reward: 350 Blue Sparks,

Illusions of Grandeur

We have Mysterio's location now. Move over to the marker and eliminate the 10 Goblin Drones on the roof. Now enter Oscorp chemical. Mysterio has locked the way out of the first room. Great!!! The mission just started and we're stuck. Not really, simply watch the cube rotate towards you. When the shape on the door appears punch the cube and the door opens. It says punch but with Spidey, at least, it seems the web shooters work better. The next room has two batteries on distant platforms. The batteries are blocked by a invisible door with a Red block and one with a Blue block. Again a large cube will move around the platform. Hit the blue side of the cube and a platform appears on the side with the open red door. Grab  the battery and place it in the center of the room to give Mysterio a shock. Defeat the symbiotes. Now attack the red side of the cube to create a platform to retrieve the other battery. Place it in the center and Mysterio gets another shock. We find ourselves back in Oscorp chemical.

The upper level has a new door with a puple icon. Allow the cube to rotate and attack the purple icon. Fly/web up to the upper level and move through the door for another puzzle. If you don't have a flyer attack the cube's blue side to create a set of stairs out of the platforms then hit the purple one to open the door.  We have two sides connected to a central platform again. This time hit the purple triangle and then the red. This will open the door on the left and create the necessary platforms to reach the battery. Place the battery in the central socket to hit Mysterio. Defeat the symbiotes that appear. Now we have to get through to the battery on the right side. Attack the purple circle icon and then the blue one to remove both doors. Now we need a path of platforms. Hit the purple circle and the green to finish out the platforms so we can get the battery. Mysterio is zapped again, returning us to the same initial room.

This time we need to hit the green and purple circle to open the door. But now one of the steps in the platform stairs is missing. Hit the red target to complete the steps and move through the door. Now take note of each side this time and locate the floating platforms that do not have a color. These are stationary and will not change by hitting the cube. To retrieve the battery on the left, hit the red cube. This appears to be wrong because a red door appears blocking our path. The trick is the side platforms allow us to move around the red door and reach the battery. Carry the battery to the red door then drop it. Move around to the central platform and hit red again to open the door. Now the battery can be placed in its socket. Defeat the symbiotes (including some Giants). Now to the right side battery. Hit the green portion of the cube and use the side platforms to move around the closed door to the batteries location. Carry the battery all the way back to the green platform closest to the central area with the socket. Return to the central area and hit the purple circle and the blue. This opens the door and creates platforms to carry the battery back to the socket.

Reward: 350 Blue Sparks, White Tiger,

Green Goblin's Grim Gauntlet

Luke Cage is outside to provide the last mission. Goblin is gliding through the city and we give chase on the Sky-Cycle. Goblin is protected by four drones that encircle him with a shield. Target the drones to remove the shield. With no protection Goblin is vulnerable to the Sky-Cycle's weapons. Hit him with all you have until the shield returns then take out the drones again. As you proceed watch out for when Goblin says dodge my Goblin bombs if you can. Large purple orbs will appear in your path. Dodge roll (left stick and X) to avoid them. They will inflict tremendous damage if you glide through them. Watch the drones themselves as well. They will fire a single beam at you that also does damage. As you fly over the water if any of the drones are present  Goblin will also fire a green cross at you. Be sure to be in one of the open areas because the green beams of the cross also do damage. Continue to attack the drones to eliminate the shield to inflict damage on Goblin. Avoiding his attacks are paramount but in case your evasive maneuvers are insufficent be on the look out for green capsules scattered about. Move through one of them will replinish some health. Once the Goblin is damaged enough a cinematic shows him crashing into the water and the mission is accomplished. We've saved the day.

Reward: 750 Blue Sparks, Luke Cage

Spider-Man Crossover

Crossover Missions are only playable by collecting the 10 crossover coins for a character and having that character to place on the Disney Infinity base. The crossover characters for the Spider-Man play set are Hulk and Iron Man.

Captured Captain (HULK)

Captain Marvel was attempting to help with the symbiote problem, but she got captured. Hulk is here to save the day. Head over to the bridge indicated by the marker. Locate the sonic cannon and carry it to the symbiote wall blocking Captain Marvel in. Blast the wall away and defeat the 30 symbiotes nearby. There is a charge station next to the room that holds Captain Marvel. Use the sonic cannon to defeat the symbiotes or HULK SMASH!!!

Traffic Trouble (Hulk)

Escort the SHIELD vehicle through the city. It will make several stops and at each one we need to SMASH some symbiotes.

Tower Assault (Hulk)

Move to the indicated roof top and protect the antennae from the symbiote attack. The fun part is at the end a giant symbiote spawns. Pick him up for a street spike with Hulk...the Strongest one there is.

Vile and Invisible (Iron Man)

Green Goblin has stolen some Stark Tech and has provided it to an army of symbiotes. Some of the symbiotes are mostly invisible. Move to each of three locations and defeat all the enemies. The invisible symbiotes actually can be seen but they only have a faint out line until you hit them.

Bomb's Away (Iron Man)

During this escort mission eliminate all the Goblin Drones before they destroy the SHIELD vehichle

Glider Getaway (Iron Man)

It just seems odd for Iron Man to write the Sky-Cycle. Anyway, follow the unmanned glider throughout the city. Watch for the drones and attack or dodge them as you follow. The chase leads to the Statue of Liberty where we have to eliminate a few more drones and finally the glider itself.

Spider-Man Challenges

  • Vs. Mode Statue of Liberty
    • DESC: Challenge a friend at the Statue of Liberty! The player with the most knockouts wins
    • TIPS: This is a two-player challenge. Five minutes are placed on the clock. When the timer reaches zeroes the person with the most knockouts wins.
  • Vs. Mode Waterfront
    • DESC: Challene a friend on the waterfront! The player with the most knockouts wins
    • TIPS: This is a two-player challenge. Five minutes are placed on the clock. When the timer reaches zeroes the person with the most knockouts wins.
  • Right on Target
    • DESC: Earn points by breaking targets. Utilize your character's special moves!
    • GOLD: 1200 (1500)
    • SLVR: 950 (1300)
    • BRNZ: 800 (900)
    • TIPS: Due to his ability to fly and good, fast ranged attacks, Nova is an excellent character for this challenge. The goal is to achieve points by destroying orbs. The red orbs will explode destroying nearby orbs. Hit them when you see them with Energy Blasts. To get the gold you will most undoubtedly have to take out the orbs under the bridge near the arrow design created by the orbs. Another important set are the ones behind the starting point haning over the water. Use the first few attempts to become familiar with the location of the orbs then begin the real attempts to get good scores
  • Rat Trap
    • DESC: Defeat all the rats as quickly as possible
    • GOLD: 0:30 (0:25)
    • SLVR: 1:00 (0:30)
    • BRNZ: 1:30 (0:45)
    • TIPS: Rats infest a small closed off area. Destroy them all to complete the challenge. The faster they are exterminated the better chance of getting a Gold. Nova's Special Move is nice in this closed in area. It will elevate and defeat the mice. Plus his rapid fire energy blasts will take them out too. Move to a large group and hit the Special Move then start firing non stop. When you have another Special use it. The toughest part is just seeing the rats to know where to attack
  • Furious Frenzy
    • DESC: Gain Points destroying all you can before time runs out
    • GOLD: 1600 (2500)
    • SLVR: 800 (1500)
    • BRNZ: 400 (700)
    • TIPS: The goal of this challenge is to destroy everything in site. What better character to destroy things than HULK. Hulk's Rampaing Rush will make getting gold in this mission easy. Holding down R2 Hulk will run into, over, and through anything in his path.
  • Sonic Weaponry
    • DESC: Earn points by destroying symbiotes with the Sonic Weapon
    • GOLD: 500 (1000)
    • SLVR: 300 (600)
    • BRNZ: 100 (200)
    • TIPS: Once the mission starts you are moved to a roof top. Pick up the Sonic Weapon and begin firing at the symbiotes. Be sure not to fall off the roof or the Challenge ends. After the weapon has lost its charge move to the charging station to continue the attacks. Once the roof is cleared move to the green pad on the side and your character will leap to another roof. Again move toward the charging station and fire the Sonic Weapon to destroy the symbiotes. As enemies are defeated the size of the symbiote increases. That doesn't matter the Sonic Weapon will eliminate the big guys just as easy as the little ones.
  • Crawl and Collect
    • DESC: Jump onto the wall and collect Orbs for points. The formations are always changing.
    • GOLD: 1000 (1500)
    • SLVR: 900 (1300)
    • BRNZ: 500 (800)
    • TIPS: The view changes and a timer with 1:20 appears. Orbs will be placed on the wall. You must crawl around the wall contacting the orbs to collect them. The yellow orbs are worth the most points, followed by blue then green. The pattern they are displayed will change every few seconds. Stay moving constantly and focus on  getting the orbs of most value as much as possible.
  • Combo Crawl
    • DESC: Jump onto the wall and collect Orbs for points. The formations are always changing
    • GOLD: 2500 (3400)
    • SLVR: 2250 (3000)
    • BRNZ: 2000 (2500)
    • TIPS: A wall crawling character is required for this challenge. Orbs will appear on the wall and the goal is to collect as many as possible in the 1:20 time limit. This time there will be red orbs that will help add points by destroying all nearby orbs. Try to focus on them and as the pattern changes take note of where they are located. This is basically a pattern recognition exercise. The more you attempt the challenge the more likely your are to remember the general location of the best chance to obtain the most orbs.
  • Wallopin' Wall Crawlers
    • DESC: Prepare for the onslaught! Collect Orbs and avoid attacks
    • GOLD: 2000 (3400)
    • SLVR: 1600 (3000)
    • BRNZ: 1100 (2000)
    • TIPS: This challenge requires a wall crawler. Orbs are placed on a wall. Its our job to collect them for points. There is a hazard with his job. A drone is firing at us the entire time. If hit your character will fall off the wall. Staying in constant motion will likely avoid this problem. Again focus on trying to constantly be moving through the orbs. Always try to hit the red explosive ones for quick points.
  • Nova Saves the Day
    • DESC: Save the citizens as quickly as possible! Deliver them to the safe zone near the vehicles
    • GOLD: 1:40 (1:15)
    • SLVR: 2:00 (1:30)
    • BRNZ: 2:20 (2:00)
    • TIPS: Defeat all the symbiotes attacking the citizens. A Special Move or two is great for eliminating the enemies fast. Target any remaining with Energy Blasts. Once the symbiotes are gone, pick up the citizens and throw them into the safe zone at the trucks.
  • City Web Race
    • DESC: Web Swing to the finish line as quickly as possible! Pass through all the gates in order
    • GOLD: 1:30
    • SLVR: 1:45
    • BRNZ: 2:00
    • TIPS: For me this was one of the more frustrating challenges. Swing through the city is fun but I'd frequently miss the green gates. I started this challenge over more than any other before completing it with a medal. Then after getting the hang of purposeful web swinging it became easier to shave time off my score.
  • Hovercar Race
    • DESC: It's a race against time in the SHIELD Hover Car
    • GOLD: 2:00
    • SLVR: 2:15
    • BRNZ: 2:30
    • TIPS: Transform the car into hover mode. Now steer it forward and into all the green gates. Be carefull around the elevated train track. This area can be tricky for running into structures in the environment.
  • Ring the City
    • DESC: Earn points by swinging through the rings
    • GOLD: 650 (1000)
    • SLVR: 450 (750)
    • BRNZ: 250 (500)
    • TIPS: Again this is purposeful web swinging. Two minutes are placed on a timer and we have to web swing through hoops to gain points. Hit enough targets to get the required points.
  • Race Gate Challenge
    • DESC: Web Swing to the finish line as quickly as possible! Pass through all the gates in order
    • GOLD: 1:30
    • SLVR: 1:45
    • BRNZ: 2:00
    • TIPS: Again we have to pass through green gates as we web swing. This one is slightly more difficult than the City Web Race due to the gates being higher in the air. Miss one and it is difficult to swing back and get. To aid in the difficulty it seems the green mist trail disappears quicker in the web swinging challenges than the flight ones.
  • Rooftop Rings
    • DESC:
    • GOLD:
    • SLVR:
    • BRNZ:
    • TIPS:
  • Bridge Rings
    • DESC:
    • GOLD:
    • SLVR:
    • BRNZ:
    • TIPS:
  • Ring Run
    • DESC: Collect Orbs and pass through rings in the SHIELD Hover Car
    • GOLD: 1500 (1750)
    • SLVR: 900 (1500)
    • BRNZ: 750 (1000)
    • TIPS: Combining flying and driving seems to be the best method to rack up points in this Challenge. The car can transform from ground to air and back again with the press of Triangle. Move to the area near the elevated train and the docks. This part of the map has a large number of rings and orbs to collect.

Guardians of the Galaxy

Guardians Walkthrough

Spatial Delivery

Jump up the platforms only to see the ship fall into nothingness. Jump onto and hang from the blue rail ahead. Use the series of blue pipes to ascend up the turbine shaft. Double Jump over the chasm and the structure you just climbed crumbles. Locate a blue pipe again. Climbing will allow you to reach a partially open door. Blast it then jump up to the next door and repeat. At this time you will also get some tips about the radar and the objective marker. Once through the second door climb up a level and slide across the horizontal blue pipe. Destroy another door and we are in another room with some blue pipes to climb. As you proceed up and around the room you will collect your first Crossover Coin to unlock Iron Man in this play set. At the top located the scattered pieces of metal on the floor and stand on them. Jump and tap Triangle to blast through the floor. The Collector is just ahead.

Reward: 50 Blue Sparks

Knowhere to Run

Sakaaran troops are attacking Knowhere. Defeat the invaders just behind the Cosmo hologram to clear tier 1 of the platform. Once these enemies are defeated a coule of turrets appear. Stay out of their view and attack. Once they are destroyed move up the ramp. Destroy some more turrets and at the top be ready for a fight. More Sakaaran troops are landing. Stand back and attack as they land. The fight shouldn't provide too much trouble. There are a few waves of 3 to 4 enemies but nothing that should overwhelm.

Reward: 75 Blue Sparks, Sakaaran Foot Soldier

Let's Be Clear

Move to the fuel cell dispenser and pick one of the cells up. This is explosive and can be used to clear away debris. Toss the fuel cell at the debris blocking the bridge. The cells can also be used as a weapon. Defeat the troops on the other side and grab a Crossover Coin. Use another fuel cell to clear the next bridge of debris. As soon as its clear an enemy ship appears. Toss fuel cells at the ship until it is destroyed. A jump throw is much more likely to land due to the cell traveling a greater distance than just a throw. With the enemy ship defeated the mission ends.

Reward: 100 Blue Sparks, Vs. Mode Docking Bay Challenge

Pest Control

Find Cosmo in the upper level of the central hub. The Sakaarans have placed disruptors on the rooftops of the living quarters. Move to the locations marked to destroy the disruptors. They will be guarded by Sakaaran troops but the enemies should provide little resistance. Some areas may be difficult to reach for a non flier (which most of the characters for this play set are). Look for blue jump pads that will vault you up to the site of the distruptors.

Reward: 150 Blue Sparks, You're the Collector Challenge

Spy Sweep

The Sakaaran invasion has harmed the Collector's trading operations. He requests that we destroy the surveilance stentinels left by the invaders. Follow the marker to the sites of the 6 sentinels to be destroyed. They look like turrets. When approaching one be sure to avoid its line of sight. If the turret notices you it will begin firing. The best approach is to attack them from range without detection.

Reward: 250 Blue Sparks, Space Station Sprint Challenge

Power Full

This is the easiest mission we've had thus far. Find the nearby fuel cell dispenser in the Docking Bay. Toss one fuel cell into each of the marked sockets to power up the delivery alert system. (Also if you haven't got it there is a Nova Crossover Coin on the top of the system).

Reward: 150 Blue Sparks

Sentinel Skirmish

The Collector is sending us on another mission to eliminate Sakaaran monitoring devices. This time there are five in the Docking Bay to be destroyed. Two of the devices are on a lower floor. You can reach them by simply falling off the edge of a higher platform but an elevator/lift will need to be activated to access the upper level again. A simple button press outside the elevator will activate it. Again when destroying the sentinels its best to stay out of their line of sight to avoid being hit by their barrage of attacks.

Reward: 250 Blue Sparks

Power Outage

The Collector's security monitoring feed is down. He is worried his collection is in danger. The timing of this mission can be a little tricky and may require a couple of attempts. First locate the area where we need to power up the security monitoring feed. Upon arrive pick up a fuel cell and place it in the nearby socket. This will cause two rows of platforms to exit the wall near the socket and move across. Pick up a battery and jump to the closest platform. Now jump to the other row. On the wall look for another socket and place a fuel cell in it. Quickly drop to the ground. Climb back up to the fuel cell dispenser. Its likely that you will have to activate the platforms again. Now take a battery and move to the far row of moving platforms again. Look foward toward the platforms end destination. You should see the second socket that needs activation. Line up your throw and toss it end to complete the mission.

Reward: 250 Blue Sparks, Path of Destruction Challenge

Miner Catastrophe

Cosmo just added an Anti-Air Gun to Knowhere's defenses. Move to the mining zone to protect it from Sakaaran attack.  Drop directly below and pick up a fuel cell. Power up the platform and ride up. We just got another Crossover Coin. Surprisingly enough arriving at the Mining Zone is all that is required to complete the mission.

Reward: 150 Blue Sparks

Drop Everything!

Cosmo has an older model of the Anti-Air Gun that can be used against the Sakaaran attack. They need powered up. Climb the blue pipe behind you and move to the left. Grab the Crossover Coin and drop into the room containing the fuel cell dispenser. Hit the G button on the exit to open the door. Pick up a fuel cell and place it in one of the sockets on the Anti-Air Gun. Repeat for the other socket. The view shifts to first-person and we are manning the gun. Fire relentlessly at the ships. Basically do not let go of R2 the entire time. You must destroy 14 of them before the health meter is depeleted. The enemy ships will attack by releasing a large energy bomb that almost looks like a molten boulder. If this bomb hit the platforms below the health bar depletes greatly. The only defense against this is to destroy the bomb before it hits. After surviving the first wave destroy 16 more enemy ships to complete the mission.

Reward: 150 Blue Sparks

Time for Paws

Move to the wall with the blue pipes. Pick up the Crossover Coin and Scarab (as if you could miss them). Use the blue pipes to reach the other side. Exit and destroy the mini-enemies (Scarabs) that spawn. At the end of the ramp, some flying Sakaarans will attack. Take them out and watch for the nearby turret. Avoid its line of sight as you destroy it. With a ranged character (Star-Lord for example), the fliers and the turret can be destroyed without even leaving your home platform. With the enemies defeated look to the right. You should see a turret in the distance (shoot it if you have a good ranged character) and some fire coming from a duo of thrusters. Jump across avoiding the thruster blasts. They do not fire simultaneously so it is fairly easy to get across. You know one is about to fire due to some shaking of the flaps surrounding the opening. Grab the crossover coin and a fuel cell. Avoid the blasts again while returning (with fuel cell in hand) to the beginning platform. Move to the socket ahead and place the fuel cell. Grab the Crossover Coin as well. The machinery is powered and begins to move. Jump across the large circular platforms to reach the other side. Grab the third Iron Man Crossover Coin in this one mission. Look below to find a lower platform with several turrets. Destroy the turrets and avoid the thruster blast. Climb the blue pipes (getting a Nova Crossover Coin as you go) to head toward the central tower. At the top of the blue pipes you will be attacked by some turrets almost instantaneously. After the turrets are destroyed, Sakaaran troops attack. With the platform clear look for some moving platforms and use them to reach the next walkway. Destroy the turrets ahead and void a thruster blast while gliding across a blue pipe. Around the next corner will be a couple more thrusters to avoid and a turret in the distance. Destroy it and hit the G button on the door. When it opens we see some enemy troops firing away at a closed door. Grab a fuel cell and toss it in the socket on the left. Two friendly turrets appear and help clear out the Sakaarans. We've reached the Control Center and get to talk to Cosmo face to face.

Reward: 150 Blue Sparks, Intruder Alert Challenge

Wild Blue Yondu

Move out of the control center and onto the rails outside to meet up with Yondu. There is a G symbol on one of the side rails that will unlock the Starfoil in the Toy Box. Don't stay on this rail too long though because there is a barracade ahead. As you ride down avoid the large X's. Also be on the look out for redish pink mists on the rail. Jump over these. At the bottom Yondu makes and explosive entrance and the mission is complete.

Reward: 150 Blue Sparks, Riding the Rails Challenge

Free Your Mine

Head back toward the mining area just as we did in the Time for Paws mission. Use the blue pipes on the wall to avoid the heat of the chasm. Push the G button to open the door. Move to the right while avoiding the fire from the thrusters. Pick up a fuel cell and return across the platforms. Move to the large rising/lowering platforms and ride the middle one to the bottom. Place the fuel cell in the socket to complete the mission.

Reward: 250 Blue Sparks, Flying Sakaaran

What's Yours is Mine's

Enter the Mining Area again. This time as you reach the top the marker will be on a platform the opposite direction of the Control Center. On this platform will be some debris that can only be destroyed with a fuel cell. Move across the rising platforms and ride the rail to the fuel cell dispenser. Grab one and head back to the debris. Destroy it and the mission is complete.

Reward: 250 Blue Sparks

Cosmic Creatures

The Collector has lost 3 of his prized creatures. The goal is to retrieve them. The first is right below the mission start point. Pick it up and follow the marker to drop the animal off at the Central Operations Tower. Repeat the process for the other two creatures. One is back in the Living Quarters and one is in the Docking Bay.

Reward: 250 Blue Sparks

Pest Behavior

Sakaarans are attacking the Living Quarters. This is simply a seek and destroy mission. Move to each platform containing enemy and take them out.

Reward: 250 Blue Sparks

Rockin' Ronan

Move to the Central Operations Tower and eliminate the 5 sentinels inside. Just as all the previous missions its best to take them out without entering their line of sight.

Reward: 250 Blue Sparks

Cool Miners Fodder

Yondu believes a Mining Pod is the key to infiltrating and defeating Ronan. The pod needs to move along the path to Yondu. Toss a fuel cell into the socket closest to the pod to allow it free movement along the path. Repeat the process two more times for the remaining two sockets. The pod reaches Yondu and he enters.

Reward: 150 Blue Sparks

To Peace in a Pod

Yondu is in the pod. He is attempting to program it when the Sakaaran's attack. You are immediately transported into first person view in the Anti-Air Gun. Destroy all that attack Yondu. There will be Sakaarans, Giant, Sakaarans, turrets, and at least one ship. The Giant Sakaarans and the enemy ship are dangerous. The giants will fire a laser beam at the pod. Try to take them out quickly. At one point four will appear on the platforms above the pod. The ship can also present a problem. It will try to drop bombs on the pod. Just as before the bombs can be destroyed with gun fire. Try to take out the ship as quickly as possible to avoid having to take out its bombs. Once the platform is clear the mission is over.

Reward: 200 Blue Sparks, Large Sakaaran

Up and Running

Yondu will be moving the pod to the checkpoint. Our task is to keep the path clear and him safe. Drop below and open the door by hitting the G button. The pod will be attacked by Sakaarans (varying size), Scarabs, and Turrets. Destroy anything in the path of the pod. On occassion environmental obstacles (crates or doors) will block its path. Open any doors and destroy any crates that do not allow the pod to move freely. Be sure to keep an eye on the pod too. At certain points turrets seem to pop out of nowhere. If you go too far ahead or loose track of the pod it can take some damage before you even realize it.

Reward: 200 Blue Sparks

Launch Time

This is almost a repeat of the above mission. We again have to escort Yondu in the pod. This time we are moving through the Docking Bay. Even though the location has changed the strategy has not. Pay attention to the positioning of the pod and destroy any thing that even looks at it. I used Star-Lord for all these missions and his Special Move, Plasma Assault works well on the large groups of enemies. Between Star-Lord's gun fire and the turret's the enemies went down fairly easily.

Reward: 250 Blue Sparks

Out of the Frying Pan...

We are back in first person mode but his time we get to use the biggest gun in Knowhere. There will be three waves of Necroships to defeat. The first wave is 16. The second contains 17. The third and final will bring 18 ships. Holding the fire button charges the weapon for a big hit. Target the ships and watch for them to release bombs. These bombs can be destroyed before making contact with the platforms to avoid damage. Previously I'd recommended rapid fire of the turret to eliminate targets quickly. This weapon is slightly different. Holding the fire button to charge it can take out several ships with a single hit. The ability to connect with charged shots makes completing the mission much, much easier.

Reward: 250 Blue Sparks, Knowhere Fast Challenge

...Into the Fire

Locate Yondu in the pod nearby. Interact with him to get the mission and agree to go to the Dark Aster. The plan works and we end up in Ronan's ship.

Reward: 250 Sparks

Unwelcome Wagon

Enter the room on the left and run across the rotating walkway. Be sure not to touch the well lit strips of the spinner. It will give you an unwelcome charge. Upon entry into the next room the gate slams shut and you are in for a fight. Again I used Star-Lord for all these missions and his turret was made for this room. Once all the enemies are cleared the lights go out. Pick up the glowing device in the center of the room. Fire it at the glowing wall socket. The lights come back on. Find a second wall socket and fire at it. You should now see a symbol of three triangles pointing in the same direction all on their side. There should also be a strip of designs rotating around the room. Find the symbol that matches the one on the wall and fire the glowing weapon at it. The rotating symbol will light up blue and when it passes behind the stationary symbol on the wall a door opens. The mission is not complete. We still have to return to the main chamber, so take out the turret and run back across the electric spinner. Eliminate one more turret and we find Yondu.

Reward: 350 Blue Sparks, Rocket Range Challenge

Door and Piece

Use the newly found weapon to open the other door by firing into the socket below it. Move across another electric spinner and destroy a duo of turrets. The next chamber also slams shut upon entry. Here we have another battle royal againt numerous enemies. It shouldn't be much of an issue though. There is enough canisters nearby to allow you to heal and unleash a couple special moves.  This time we have three rows of spinning symbols to match up. Charge one of the wall sockets to get a row spinning. Now fire the new weapon at the matching design. Repeat the process for all three symbols to open the door and exit. Cross an electric spinner and take out some turrets. The next hall has several Sakaarans to defeat. A few of them are of the large laser shooting variety. Dodge roll their attacks and stay on the offensive. Winning the fight reveals the key to the door to Ronan.

Reward: 400 Blue Sparks

Door Busters

Pick up the key and the mission begins. At the first sight of enemies set the key down and attack. When the Sakaarans are dispatched pick it up and throw it to the other side of the electric spinner. The explosion causes the spinner to rotate faster. Wait for it to slow then run across. Pick up the key and enter the next room. Eliminate the turrets and large Sakaarans then proceed. Another electric spinner is ahead. Toss the key over it then proceed without getting shocked. Eliminate the turret then exit to the main chamber and use the key to open the big door.

Reward: 500 Blue Sparks, Vs Mode Dark Aster

Dark Aster Disaster

Move to the marker and the door closes. Pick up the new weapon and fire it at the central power source. It explodes and Ronan arises from his chamber below. Ronan is protected by a shield. He attacks from a distance by smashing his hammer into the ground creating a wave of destruction. Dodge roll out of the way as it approaches. When armed with the new weapon fire it at Ronan. His shield will absorb all the damage but a blue orb will break off. These blue orbs are the key to victory. They need to be placed in the sockets near the ceiling. Fire at an orb and send it bouncing into the air. As more orbs are socketed, Ronan also summons assistance from Sakaarans. Dodge around the room firing the weapon at Ronan to create orbs. The more orbs bouncing around the quicker we can obtain victory. There really is no reason to do anything other than worry about the orbs. Having Star-Lord can be helpful here because you can throw out his Special Move turret to work on the troops while your focus is on Ronan and the orbs.

Tough Cell

The Sakaarans are at it again. This time they are targeting the fuel cell dispensers used to maintain Knowhere's defensive weapons. Head to the Docking Bay and defeat all the Sakaarns that appear on the lower level. With the fuel cell dispenser safe the mission is complete.

Dropping In

The Sakaarans are dropping pods in the Living Quarters. You have 5 minutes to enter the area and clear it of the enemy.

Characters

All characters have two respender skills that will reset the skill points used. One is activated at level 10, while the other is activated at level 20. It does not required a skill point to use the skill. Once you choose the Respender Skill you get all of your skill points back to place how you see fit. This is great for trying a new configuration or if you make a mistake that needs changed.

The skill trees are generally divided into four wings. The top is generally movement, health, and teammate assist abilities. The right side is ranged attacks. The bottom is for the Special Move and Power Discs. Combo attacks are found on the left side of the skill tree. Generally speaking, my strategy is to get the skills I wanted in the bottom, left and right sides then used other points to fill in any skills desired on the top.
